As deadline looms, GOP unclear of path to keep the government open

The White House is focused on scoring a "win" by getting enough Republicans on board to

pass some sort of Obamacare repeal before Congress adjourns for two weeks.

But others in the GOP say lawmakers should be more concerned about the looming deadline

that could see the government close.

"It's kinda important," Rep. Steve Stivers, R-Ohio, said about keeping the government

funded beyond April 28.

"I hope people can stay focused on keeping the government open, because it is important.

There are a lot of members who are individually talking about it," continued Stivers, who

is a deputy whip.

"But it's not in the collective speak because you know lots of people drive looking

in their rearview mirror and I think we need to look out the windshield as we're heading

forward and what's next is government funding."

The government will run out of money four days after Congress returns from its Easter

recess unless lawmakers continue funding it at current levels through a continuing resolution

or finish funding fiscal 2017 through a multi-spending-bill, omnibus package.

"We're talking a matter of days before some other really big things come up that have

to be addressed," Rep. Tom Rooney, R-Fla., told the Washington Examiner.

"It would have been a lot easier to tackle those things if healthcare was already done;

maybe that's why there's this sort of late second push to do it this week.

"But from what I've heard" in the House chamber and talking to other members, "there's no

guarantee that we're doing that, which means they don't have the numbers yet," said Rooney,

who is a member of the whip team.

Many Republicans are worried about incurring voters' wrath if an all-Republican controlled

government cannot keep its doors open.

Many rank-and-file members publicly worry, and some in leadership privately squirm, over

the possibility that the House Republican Conference's most strident wing, the Freedom

Caucus, will use the deadline to wrangle legislative concessions from leadership and the White

House.

"You know [Sen.] Ted Cruz threatened to shut the government down a few years ago if Obamacare

wasn't repealed with Obama as the president," Rooney said.

"So, we've done the craziest stuff you can possibly do" already.

Beneficios del mar en la celulitis y como llevarlos a casa para eliminar la celulitis - Duration: 2:31.

Hi I'm Raquel Domínguez

www.operacionbikini.es and today I am here to tell you about

the benefits it has the sea on

cellulitis. Most women

have cellulite,

we're going to do, the reasons are

hormonal factors and lifestyle habits

unsuited. It is possible that when you

you go on vacation to the beach when you take notice

women living there are less

cellulite, you can even

when you come back notes that the

status of your cellulite has improved.

No, you have not gone mad, it is responsible

seawater. And how water acts of

sea cellulite? Well, here I've already spoken more

depth of what is cellulite, but

we could say that cellulite is a

accumulation of fat and toxins in the

adipose cells layers more

deep epidermis. What water does

the sea with them? For seawater baths make

these fluids back to the

surface, which is removed by the

epidermis, this occurs by a process

known osmosis. Osmosis is a process

complicated. It is the spontaneous flow

water between two solutions through

a semipermeable membrane. as the

Sea water is salty, our body

will try to counteract

causing water from within

go out,

This movement is what causes toxins

from within out of the

deep in the dermis situations

outermost of the epidermis. Curious

true? If you suffer from cellulite already you know that

It is a fairly complex problem and

for leaving one week and swim beach

at sea it is not going to solve.

We have to attack it on several fronts, this

playlist are getting a lot of

tips and tricks to end it

effectively. And if you do not have the

posibolidad going to the beach as often

as you would like, if I too

passes, a homemade trick is to whip up a

salt water bath. As simple as

fill your bath water,

throw at least one liter of salt

marine and immerse yourself and enjoy a swim

relaxing. The benefits are not as

significant as having the sea

in cellulite but some help. And today I do not wanna go

while Isabella greet

Nort Carolina, Limby Nava and Eva Lozano, hello girls.

I hope my featured video you liked, if you think you

You can help someone, share please

Would you do a favor to him and to me, and I already you

I am expected in the next, do not miss me.

Bye bye

Mixed Media Coloring using Tombow Brush Pen - Duration: 4:26.

Hello everyone!

I'm Smitha from the blog Smiling Colors and I hope you are ready to color!

Today I am sharing a fun mixed media coloring technique- just a fun way to change your coloring

and bring in a little details and texture.

First, we need a coloring page to color in.

You will want to choose a design that has open spaces- nothing too detailed for this

technique.

We are going to be adding old dictionary papers to add interest to areas of our coloring page.

Using a sharp pair of small scissors cut out a leaf like shape that is small enough to

fit inside this leaf here.

Then using the Tombow Mono Aqua liquid glue adhere it into place.

Apply a thin layer of glue- so that the glue doesn't ooze out from beneath.

here.

you can use any kind of paper to add your details- think newspaper,

patterned papers, tissue paper or even maybe some burlap.

At some point you are going to find leaves that are being overlapped by a flower like

here.

For these, I cut my leaf shape and hold it in its position with one hand.

With another hand I carefully cut along the flower outline.

Okay, now here I have all of my dictionary paper leaves cut and adhered.

They have dried for about 10 minutes and are ready for the coloring.

Now the fun part- the actual coloring!

I am using Tombow Dual brush pens for this technique because they are water based.

and I love this little zippered pouch I found that holds everything in neatly!

I also have some water, and two round paintbrushes.

I will leave a list of the supplies with links in the description box below so that you can

find everything easily.

I am doing an indirect coloring method today-using this blending palette.

I scribbled three shades of green onto the palette here- Nos and now with a damp brush

I am picking up the color and painting in the leaf shapes.

I paint over the paper we have adhered and immediately you can see that the leaf has

so much more interest.

I don't really do much shading- I am just picking up one of the three colors at random

and adding them to the leaf.

Another fun thing you can do with the blending palette- you can mix the colors on it and

create newer colors.

Now onto the flower.

I using just one pink color- No for this and I am picking up the color with a damp brush

just as before.

You are going to see that on the flower my brush strokes are very noticable.

This is because I am using a matte photo paper.

The tendency of the photo paper is to absorb the color as quickly as possible.

Which is why I would not recommend this paper if you wanted to do any blending techniques.

But here, I like the texture that the brush strokes create- you just have to be mindful

when you are painting- and add your brush strokes along what would be flower petal veins.

That's it.

Now you can go in and add another darker layer or color on top of the first layer- that is

is beauty of coloring on photo paper- the colors will sit on top of each other nicely

and not blend to create a messy color.

At this point I felt that the flower here needed a touch of mustardy yellow and so using

marker no I am adding yellow to the tips of the flower.

You can see that the yellow sits on top and creates a dual tones flower.

If you were to do this on mixed media paper- the yellow and pink would mix and create a

new color.

But on photo paper the pink has been totally absorbed by the paper and anything you add

sits on top as a transparent layer.

Now I went ahead and colored the other two flowers in the same manner.

I super sped up the video here just to show you quick glimpse

at it.

Now the dragon fly- this actually turned out to be my favorite part of this page!

I started by adding in a yellowish color to it and dropped in some green.

I then picked up some purple- marker no and added to the underside of the wings.

The aged paper that I adhered created such a fun texture to this dragon fly and made

the wings look so cool.

I liked the purple a lot and decided to add the purple to the flowers and as more color

to the dragon fly.

I also brought some of the yellow color to the center of the flowers and then I wanted

to finish the page with a nice baby blue background.

I cleaning my palette quickly with a quick wipe with a paper towel and scribbling two

blue shades - marker no for the background.

I then add water to it to create a diluted color and then am adding this to the whole

background area.

Finally- to add contrast to the flower centers- I added yellow circles and some pink dots

with the marker tip of the Tombow Dual brush pen.

Now my page is finished!

And here is a close up at the finished page.

I will leave you with a few of my previous video that involve coloring as well.

Bye bye.

Hypnosis - Let Go Of Your Past With Hypnotherapy With Sasha Carrion - Duration: 7:06.

Hey happier today we are with Sasha Carrion, she is a mind coach and a double certified

in hypnotherapist, and today we are going to learn

how to overcome issues and problems from the past.

So Sasha, let's go for it!

Hi Juan Camilo, how are you?

I am very good.

Good, good, well, I am so happy to be on here and I am so happy to share with everybody

why it is that the past is in our present.

At this moment we are talking to each other with the conscious mind, and so it's the part

of the mind that is logical, that's rational, that knows what you want and in most cases

knows exactly what you need to do to get it.

Now, the problem is that our minds keep referring back to the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is that part of the mind where all our habits, patterns and emotions

are stored, and so whether we realize it or not there is always a part of our mind that

wants to refer to the past, and is always doing this even if you don't remember a particular

memory that's what is doing.

So I'll give a very good example if you had a parent that was highly critical of you,

that would put you down a lot, that was very maybe mean or cruel, maybe he was a father

who had alcohol issues and had a very low self-confidence in himself.

If you live through a lot of experiences where you were constantly being put down, well is

not surprise as an adult when you go to talk to other people you have a low self-confidence,

and because of it is hard for you to talk to other people, and to really express yourself

the way you want to, and that's happening because our mind is referring to that past

experience, and so a lot of people don't realize this but the majority of our mind is focused

our subconscious mind is focused with surviving, no with being successful, and so it will do

whatever it takes to ensure your survival, not your success.

So, a lot of times when people come here and they tell me, listen I know what I need to

do but I'm not doing it, in fact I'm doing the opposite I'm screwing myself over.

What's happening is that your mind is trying to protect you, because on some level it could

be that your mind doesn't think that is safe for you to put yourself out there, and to

do all the things that you need to do to succeed at that high level, and so many times what

we have to do is really retrain the mind, to understand that it's safe for the person

to put themselves out there and to be who they want to be, and so by doing this what

we do is we retrain the mind to function how the person wants it to function, does it makes

sense?

Yes I understand, and the big why will be, how you do it?

Is by putting the person in a deep state of relaxation and what happens is that when you

are in this altered state, your mind becomes very relax, your brains wavelengths drop and

it opens up this window of opportunity, or we can train your mind to do whatever it is

you want it to do, and so what I love about hypnotherapy is that all of the suggestions

are based on what you want, and so it's completely customized to what the person needs.

Awesome, Sasha if someone that is watching this video and I know that you offer different

services but if he or she wants to...let's say do some exercise at his home or her home,

is there any exercise that you can suggest?

So, the most important thing is to become aware of your thoughts, and become mindful

to be extent were your aware of the source of your thoughts, and in doing so you have

more power.

It's very important that every person understand that everybody gets negative thoughts, first

of all.

Everybody gets negative thoughts.

Is just part of the human condition, the next thing is that one has to learn to be a zen

master in the sense of when a negative thought comes to your way, certain pattern comes to

your way then you become mindful of it.

When you become mindful of it, you can actually interrupt that pattern and start to train

your mind, not to go that, you know that road go downwards.

One of the best things to do in a situation where you find that your mind keeps going

back to negative past conditioning is to come in for hypnotherapy.

Now, it's a good idea to come in to see a hypnotherapist reason being is that when somebody

else hypnotizes you, your mind is able to really let go, and because somebody else is

navigating a session so that gives you the freedom to focus on the words that are being

given to you, and so that's why I suggest everybody gets hypnotized, even I hypnotized

myself from time to time, and to be totally honest I even taught my boyfriend how to do

it, and I'll tell him okay I want you to do this, this and that, and once I'm in I want

you to give me this suggestions, and so because is always better when somebody else hypnotizes

you.

Though is also good to self-hypnotize as well, so that this way you get used to you take

in control of your mind.

Awesome, I want to be hypnotized, I never try it.

Oh you're going to love it, is so relaxing, Juan Camilo you will love it.

Well we can do it after this interview.

For those that want to work more with you, how can they contact you?

Can you share as your youtube channel and so on?

Yes, so my website is sashacarrion.com, I have plenty of social media, I have the facebook

fanpage, instagram, pinterest, youtube, plenty of stuff.

Perfect, you will find Sasha's youtube channel in the description of this video and well,

Sasha thank you so much for being here, you're absolutely welcome Juan Camilo, thank you

for having me on, bye guys!

If you liked these techniques what you can do is to spread the message, share this video

with a friend, with a person that maybe is not feeling happy or just with someone that

you have beside you.

If you like this video please thumbs up and subscribe to the channel, every single Thursday

I upload a new video with exercises, strategies and different methods to be happier, to enjoy

more our lives, to live from our passions, to destroy our fears, our limitations.

I'm Juan Camilo Lovera, see you on the road.

The Real Reason You Don't Hear From Flavor Flav Anymore - Duration: 5:15.

William Jonathan Drayton Jr. rose to fame as a member of the famous hip-hop group Public

Enemy and went on to have a lucrative career in reality TV.

But in recent years, the rapper better known as Flavor Flav has fallen off the radar.

"Hit me!"

Here's a look at the real reason you don't hear from Flavor Flav anymore.

He's no longer on Flavor of Love

From 2006 through 2008, Flavor Flav was at the top of the cable ratings heap with his

reality romance series Flavor of Love, which claimed to be a chronicle of his efforts to

find his one true love.

And boy, was it truly romantic.

"I was like, wait a minute, I know we don't have no dogs in here.

But they's s*** on my stairs."

"Oh s***!"

One little problem though: he met his actual true love, Liz Trujillo, before filming on

the first season had even begun.

That turned the whole endeavor into even more of a hoax that it actually seemed.

Flav told The Daily Beast "by the time Flavor of Love 2 came around, I was very uncomfortable

with doing it because I had a girl at home, and she got pregnant during the second one."

Despite this, he signed on for a third season, but that was it for the series, as Flav proposed

to Trujillo during the season three reunion show.

He went out on top...but it's been all downhill from there.

Family woes

In 2013, Flav and Trujillo went on the reality show Couples Therapy to try and publicly work

through their relationship issues.

But while filming, Trujillo — who is also the mother of Flav's son Karma — had to

be hospitalized.

A rep for the couple claimed was due solely to exhaustion — despite reports that drugs

were involved.

But Karma is just one of his seven children, and Flav has struggled to keep up with court

ordered payments for them all.

In 2012, Angie Parker took him to court because he owed over a hundred thousand dollars in

unpaid child support.

After he skipped the court date, a judge suggested that half a year in jail might get him to

change his ways.

It worked, as Flav reportedly wrote a check for $25,000 to keep from going to jail, claiming

in an interview with TMZ that "No matter what's in the media, I am a good father to all 7

of my children.

I'll never let my family do without!"

Those words seemed slightly ironic since, that very same year, he ended up pleading

guilty to misdemeanor domestic violence charges after physically assaulting his wife.

He reportedly also chased her teenage son Gibran around with a pair of knives, threatening

to kill him, though Flav denied those accusations.

Still, with so much family drama and so many legal issues, it's no wonder Flav hasn't had

time for much else.

Driving no-nos

Family woes aren't the only cause of legal drama for Flavor Flav.

According to TMZ, Flav has had his driver's license suspended an incredible 16 times for

various driving offenses, including a bizarre incident in 2014 when he was arrested while

speeding to get to his mother's funeral.

More seriously, in 2015 Flav was booked for doing 75 in a 45 miles per hour zone, driving

under the influence, possession of marijuana, driving with an open container, having a fake

registration, and driving on a suspended license.

This time, his license was revoked, though he otherwise got off with a fine and counseling

sessions.

Without the ability to drive himself anywhere, howerever, Flav's employment options are severely

limited.

Flavor of the month

Little know fact: before becoming a big time rapper, Flav actually went to culinary school

in the 1970s.

That explains why he's been focused on food for the past few years, though the results

have been less than successful.

After opening a small chain of fast food joints — aptly called Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs

— with locations in Iowa, Las Vegas, and Michigan, Flav was once again taken to court

in 2013 by a landlord over $20,000 in unpaid rent.

A month later, the last of the three joints closed for good.

Not to be dissuaded, The Las Vegas Sun reported in August, 2016, that Flav was back at it,

"Yeah, boyee!"

selling his chicken at a local joint called Rockhouse.

The taxman

Flav seems to have suffered so many downfalls in his career.

Family drama, business drama, and reality show chaos.

What's left?

Tax drama — to the tune of nearly one million dollars.

Yup.

In 2012, Flav was targeted for neglecting to pay taxes in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Those just happened to be the years he starred on the VH1 shows The Surreal Life, Strange

Love, and Flavor of Love.

The IRS wanted over $906,000 for all three years.

Hey, Flav, how is Uncle Sam supposed to fund emergency services if you don't pay your taxes?!

"I dialed 911 a long time ago."

"Can't you see how late they're reactin'?"

"They only come and they come when they wanna."

The comeback kid

Despite everything, Flav is still making occasional appearance on TV and in film.

And given how often Flav has reinvented himself, there's no telling just what form his inevitable

comeback might take.

"Know what I'm saying, Over here in Elko.

Let's go to Elko. you know what I'm saying?

'Hello hello hello' you heard the Elko, right?"

Sure.

Why not?

Ashes to Palms - Episode 27 - Even If You Can't See - Duration: 1:02.

You know not all spiritual blindness is born from sin.

In fact, sometimes the more we progress in the spiritual life, God can remove our insights

and intuitions to build up one or another of the theological virtues in us.

Think for example of the endearing and courageous man from his book's namesake, Tobit.

Set down under enemy rule, Tobit must endure the painful experience of losing his sight.

And it happens not when he falters or loses faith but when he's working hard to make God's

plan known to the people of his time.

And I have no doubt that this inability to see has been the cross of many Catholics even

now as they go about the business of Lent most dutifully.

With this kind of blindness, it is hard to see the good that God is working, the plans

of glory and peace that He has in store for us individually; prayer can even feel quite

dry.

So if this is you then I have a message for you, don't give up.

Even if you can't see.

Even if the plan is lost on you.

Just like He did with Tobit, God is sending you exactly what you need.

WSJ Susan Rice Was Not Alone In Unmasking Team Trump - Duration: 5:54.

WSJ Susan Rice Was Not Alone In Unmasking Team Trump

by Tyler Durden

As part of its daily wrap of the Susan Rice newsflow, which focused on her first media

appearance since she was "outed" as the persona responsible for "unmasking" members of team

Trump, the WSJ provides two new pieces of incremental information: i) in addition to

Michael Flynn, at least one more member of the Trump transition team was "unmasked" in

intelligence reports due to multiple foreign conversations that weren't related to Russia;

and ii) Rice wasn't the administration official who instigated Mr. Flynns unmasking, confirming

there is at least one more high-level official giving "unmasking" orders.

But first, a brief detour.

"Unmasking" is a term used when the identity of a U.S. citizen or lawful resident is revealed

in classified intelligence reports.

Normally, when government officials receive intelligence reports, the names of American

citizens are redacted to protect their privacy.

But officials can request that names, listed as U.S. Person 1, for example, be unmasked

internally in order to give context about the potential value of the intelligence.

Unmasking is justified for national security reasons but is governed by strict rules across

the U.S. intelligence apparatus that make it illegal to pursue for political reasons

or to leak classified information generated by the process.

It is the accusation that Rice unmasked members for purely political reasons - ostensibly

in coordination with president Obama - that has gotten Republican smelling blood in the

water.

Republicans have for weeks signaled that they saw unmasking as the key to investigating

the source of media leaks damaging to the Trump administration such as the exposure

of former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn, who was forced to resign in

February after media reports revealed that he misled Vice President Pence about the contents

of his discussions with the Russian ambassador.

To that end, earlier this month, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) pressed FBI Director James

Comey in a public Intelligence Committee hearing: "It would be nice to know the universe of

people who have the power to unmask a U.S. citizens name... because that might provide

something of a roadmap to investigate who mightve actually disseminated a masked

U.S. citizens name.

He went on to press Comey on whether specific Obama officials, including Rice, would have

had the authority to request that a name be unmasked.

Yes, in general, and any other national security adviser would, I think, as a matter

of their ordinary course of their business, Comey answered.

Shortly thereafter, The Hill notes Nunes made his shocking announcement that he and

he alone had viewed documents that showed inappropriate unmasking by Obama-era officials.

Today, Susan Rice came out to defend herself and told MSNBC that the allegation is that

somehow, Obama administration officials utilized intelligence for political purposes, Rice

told Mitchell.

Thats absolutely false."

She added that The notion, which some people are trying to suggest, that by asking for

the identity of the American person is the same is leaking it thats completely

false.

There is no equivalence between so-called unmasking and leaking.

And yet, that is precisely what many republicans are suggesting because otherwise there is

no explanation for how the WaPo and NYT received, on a virtual silver platter, stories about

Mike Flynn's communications with intel-level detail.

Perhaps Rice is simply lying as she lied on March 22 when in a PBS interview she said

"I know nothing" about unmasking Trump officials.

Less than two weeks later, we learn that she did.

But perhaps there is more to the story than what we know so far.

And this is where the WSJ comes in, with the new info that according to a Republican official

familiar with deliberations by GOP lawmakers on the House Intelligence Committee said that

the names of two U.S. citizens who were part of Mr. Trumps transition team have been

unmasked in intelligence reports.

One is Mr. Flynn and the other hasnt been identified.

The report involving Mr. Flynn documented phone conversations he had in late December

with the Russian ambassador to the U.S.

The WSJ then reports that Rice had requested the unmasking of at least one

transition official not Mr. Flynn who was part of multiple foreign

conversations that weren't related to Russia.

And the punchline: "The Republican official and others said Ms. Rice wasn't the administration

official who instigated Mr. Flynns unmasking."

In other words, the story that Susan Rice is the unmasker is incomplete as there is

at least one more person exposing the identities of people in Trump's circle, and that the

NSA and other intel agencies have been surveiling, accidentally or otherwise, at least one, so

far unnamed individual, from Trump's circle.

It may well be someone that the WaPo and NYT have already published about, or it may be

someone who has yet to hit the newswire, delivering the latest twist of the ongoing intelligence-fed

news cycle.

For now the answer is unknown, although when Rice testifies under oath before the House

Intel Committee, we hope that all outstanding questions will finally get answers.

What Does The Proposed U.S. EPA Budget Cut Mean For Automakers, Car Buyers, And the Environment? - Duration: 5:16.

Unless you've been under a rock for the past few months, you'll know that there

have been some pretty big changes going on in Washington, D.C. as the U.S.

Government under President Donald Trump reshapes some of the policies and priorities of many

Federal agencies, slashing budgets here and gagging agencies there, drawing praise from

some and harsh criticism from others.

So far, those changes (some enacted, some proposed) have impacted everything from foreign

policy to immigration rules, government agency websites, filling open positions in a variety

of government agencies, and spending on social care programs.

But this week, a new consequence of the Trump administration appeared:: a proposed budget

cut to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which would slash ninety-nine percent of the

EPA's current budget for testing and verifying vehicle emissions and fuel economy.

What does that mean for the automotive industry, air quality, and the future of cleaner vehicles?

Stick around to find out.

Hi there!

It's Nikki Gordon-Bloomfield here from Transport Evolved and yes, today, I'm focusing on

politics.

But as I've said in the past, there's only so much it's possible to do in life

without butting up against some form of politics...which is why I made the choice to make this video

in the first place.

But before you turn off in frustration, know that my intent here is to try and be as fair

as possible to both sides of this.

Affording to official U.S. government budget documents (which originate from the March

21 budget proposal penned by the White House) the U.S. EPA will have to lay off twenty-five

percent of all of its staff and scrap some fifty-six programs in order to meet the proposed

thirty-one percent budget cut the White House wishes the agency to undergo.

As part of that, everything from the Great Lakes Restoration program to Leaking Underground

Storage Tank Prevention programs will be cut, with some disappearing all together and others

become a shadow of their former selves.

One such cut?

The EPA's vehicle emissions and fuel economy testing programs, which are designed to not

only ensure that automakers are in compliance with air quality standards, but to confirm

automaker-submitted fuel economy figures.

In total, the proposal represents slashing forty-eight million in funding from the vehicle

testing budget, equivalent to ninety-nine percent of its operating budget.

And that's got both environmental protection advocates and automakers concerned.

Yes, automakers.

You heard me right.

While the EPA and its testing have caused many automakers to get into trouble for not

meeting the required criteria (or in the case of Volkswagen, cheating and attempting to

circumvent the rules) cars can't be sold in the U.S. until they've undergone official

EPA testing.

And if the budget has been slashed, that could mean that automakers won't be able to bring

their cars to market as quickly as they once could.

Which could have detrimental effects on everyone, especially if we're talking cleaner, greener

cars.

One solution, seemingly proposed by the U.S. government, is to force automakers to pay

more to have their cars tested, essentially passing the responsibility on the auto industry.

But the fear here is that testing will become less stringent than it once was, letting cheats

slip through the system and ultimately leading to more air pollution -- or that testing will

become a backlog process that prevents new cars from hitting the market.

So what does this mean for cleaner, greener, smarter and safer cars?

Well, like their internal combustion-engined counterparts, electric vehicles and hydrogen

fuel cell vehicles still have to be certified by the EPA before they can reach the market.

And if there are significant financial burdens to bringing already expensive cars to market,

you can guess what could happen: automakers pass on the cost of getting EPA-approval to

customers in the form of higher sticker prices.

And that's bad for everyone.

Is there a solution?

Well, not any that I can think of.

The proposed solution could give automakers even more control over the entire process,

which could lead to more fraud and ultimately a slow eroding of the work that's been done

by the EPA over the past decades.

But with states like California -- and the other ten states that have adopted California's

stricter air quality and fuel economy standards, there is still at least some hope that cleaner,

greener cars will be brought to market -- if only so automakers can sell to some of the

most important car markets in the U.S. without fear of financial repercussions.

But what do you think?

The Best Bad Movies Of 2016 - Duration: 6:06.

Good movies are good, and bad movies are bad, right?

Well, some movies are so unbelievably inept they're actually entertaining — Tommy Wiseau's

The Room being the most famous high-profile example ...

"How much is it?"

"It'll be $18."

"Here you go.

Keep the change.

Hi doggie."

"You're my favorite customer."

"Thanks a lot, bye!"

"Buh-bye!"

But Wiseau was just an amateur filmmaker bringing his insane passion project to life — he

had an excuse.

There's no excuse for the fresh batch of awful, big studio films released each year — and

2016 had more than its fair share.

There are spoilers ahead — but can you really spoil something that's already rotten?

Let's make like Oscar and roll around in some beautiful, terrible garbage.

"Yes, I love trash!

If you really wanna see something trashy, look at this!"

Collateral Beauty

In another heaping helping of cinematic chicken-soup-for-the-soul, Will Smith plays an ad exec who falls into

an extreme depression after his daughter's death.

He starts acting weird, too — like writing letters to the abstract concepts of Love,

Time, and Death.

Fearful for their firm's future, his business partners try to prove he's mentally unsound

so they can kick him out of the company.

Now that's a pretty heartless and horrible idea, but it actually gets worse.

To prove he's nuts, they hire actors to play physical embodiments of the concepts of Love,

Time, and Death, to confront Smith about his letters.

Their plan?

To film Smith talking to these abstract concepts come-to-life, then digitally erase the actors,

so he'll look crazy and they'll have their proof!

It's genius!

Of course, they could just film his actual weird behavior that's actually causing the

business to lose money, but then we wouldn't have this movie.

If only.

The rest of the film has Love, Time, and Death teaching everyone lessons, and Smith reconciling

with his estranged wife.

But wait, there's more!

"Twist!"

It turns out the actors really were Love, Time, and Death all along.

Ta-da!

That makes no sense at all.

Finally, Smith managed to make a movie with a worse ending than his suicide by jellyfish

in Seven Pounds.

That's gotta...sting.

Contract to Kill

Steven Seagal is back!

And worse than ever.

The A.V.

Club's "F" review of Contract to Kill sums up its appeal beautifully:

"Contract To Kill is so crude and anti-cinematic — so f***ing bad — that it becomes its

own parody."

A movie that parodies itself while you're watching it?

Now that's a bargain.

Seagal has been churning out overseas films and direct-to-DVD wonders for a long time,

but they've lacked that exceptional awfulness that makes a Seagal film great.

The theatrically released Contract to Kill has it in spades.

Seagal brings the character of John Harmon to sort-of life with a stiff, lazy, and barely

memorized performance.

Harmon is a CIA and DEA enforcer investigating terrorists in Mexico.

Or something.

Seagal himself mostly sits, walks slowly, and wears glasses.

The obvious stuntman does everything else.

But Seagal does have the energy for a love scene!

But don't let that stop you from watching it — the good news is he's pretty much fully

clothed the whole time, including those sweet glasses.

Plus, Contract to Kill has a rare 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, so you know it's a special kind

of awful.

Nine Lives

Kevin Spacey plays a cat.

There's your elevator pitch for Nine Lives, a kids movie that is definitely real.

Before going full feline, Spacey plays a man who's too worried about work, and not worried

enough about his family.

He's obsessed with building the tallest skyscraper, a plot point that takes up a lot of the movie.

Because everyone knows that kids love the high stakes world of big city real estate.

Anyway, Spacey almost dies, and then his mind goes into a cat called Mr. Fuzzypants.

Christopher Walken is there being Walken-y. Spacey must reconnect with his family, or

he'll be trapped in Mr. Fuzzypants forever.

Well, okay, like, ten to thirteen years, tops.

Cats don't live that long, guys.

The most fascinating part of this film is trying to guess why Spacey did it.

Does he have massive gambling debt?

Is he being blackmailed?

An actor of Spacey's caliber isn't supposed to do talking cat movies.

That's Eric Roberts' job.

No, seriously.

In 2013, Roberts literally made a movie called A Talking Cat!?!

"Trent, are you messing with me?"

"It's not Trent.

It's me."

He is a cat.

And we're not messing with you.

Max Steel

Max Steel is a movie based on toys that aren't Legos, Transformers, or Toy Story — so it

was doomed from the start.

It doesn't help that the plot makes about as much sense as a scenario dreamed up by

five-year-olds playing with their Max action figures.

Max is 16, and a new kid in town who just can't fit in — probably because he can literally

harness the greatest power in the universe and has a little alien friend named Steel.

That's not something the guys on the football team can relate to.

Max and Steel figure out that when their powers combine, they become Max Steel, the most boringly

named superhero of all time.

What kind of alien is named "Steel," anyway?

Shouldn't he have a more, uh, alien-sounding name?

"Give me another space beer, Gleep Glop."

That's more like it.

You know what happens next: bad guys want to get Max Steel's super Gleep Glop powers,

the bad guys don't get them, and then Max Steel lives another day.

Unlike the studio's hopes for a franchise.

Gods of Egypt

Gods of Egypt is a movie about an alternate-universe Egypt where giant, gold-blooded, shapeshifting

Gods live among regular humans and battle for supremacy.

These gods are also, inexplicably, not Egyptian, and neither are any of the other characters.

Ra, the God of Light, is played by Geoffrey Rush, an Australian.

And Set, the God of Darkness is played by the overwhelmingly Scottish Gerard Butler.

Sure!

Whitewashing aside, this swords-and-sandals throwback is a bloated mess without the decency

to go full-on camp.

But at least the film fully commits to its over-the-top awfulness.

The Village Voice sums it up nicely:

"It's dumb as hell, but at least it's an impassioned, sumptuous dumbness."

In all honesty, it'd probably sell more copies if that blurb made its way onto the Blu-ray

cover.

These Are The Best Movies Of 2017 So Far - Duration: 6:53.

From action throwbacks to kid-friendly fare, hard-hitting dramas to game-changing horror,

this year has already delivered a bumper crop of excellent flicks for film lovers.

We're still just a few pages into the calendar, but let's take a quick look back at the best

movies of 2017 so far.

The LEGO Batman Movie

Trying to follow up The LEGO Movie was a tough proposition, and spinning off Will Arnett's

Batman into his own movie could easily have backfired.

The filmmakers could've faltered under the pressure of making this Batman likable or

interesting enough to carry his own film — or buckled under the weight of all those DC Comics

in-jokes and gags ...

"Crazy Quilt, Eraser, Polka Dot Man, Mime, Tarantula, King Tut, Orca, Killer Moth, March

Harriet, Zodiac Master, Gentleman Ghost..."

Happily, The LEGO Batman Movie turned out to be one of the best family-friendly movies

in ages, while packing in enough smart comic stuff to keep Batman geeks coming back for

repeat viewings.

Fun, wacky, and a rollicking adventure in the wild world of LEGO, the movie's been showered

with praise from critics who are calling it one of the best animated offerings of the

year — and one of the best Batman movies ever.

John Wick: Chapter 2

More than 15 years after The Matrix saga began, Keanu Reeves has reinvented himself as an

action hero for a whole new generation.

This sequel to his surprise 2014 action hit John Wick is a bone-crushing, R-rated thrill

ride that finds Reeves' namesake hitman pulled out of retirement to take on a shady international

conspiracy.

"So I guess you have a choice.

Do you want a war, or do you just want to just give me a gun?"

Sure, it's mostly just a setup for Reeves to kick — and shoot — a bunch of bad-guy

butt.

Critics, however, say the film feels like a throwback to the simpler days of action

films, focusing on practical effects instead of distracting CGI.

It's also one of the most stylish films of the year, regardless of genre.

Hidden Figures

This historical drama technically opened late in 2016, but didn't go wide until this year.

It tells the inspiring true story of the black women who worked at NASA during the early

days of the U.S. space program, and the critical roles they played in helping America with

the space race.

Stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe did a fantastic job of bringing

this era to life while lending genuine emotional heft to the film's portrayal of their struggles

and triumphs.

Not only is it a fascinating real-life story — it's uplifting and all-around entertaining.

Patriots Day

Director Peter Berg's dramatic retelling of the real-life 2013 Boston Marathon bombing

stars Mark Wahlberg, making this his third fact-based thriller with Berg.

Wahlberg plays a police sergeant thrust into the middle of the chaos and the ensuing investigation

of the bombing.

Critics have praised Patriots Day, which also opened in limited release late in 2016, for

managing to tell a compelling story without exploiting the real-life tragedy.

While some reviews question whether it's too soon to bring this particular story to the

cineplex, there's no denying it finds Berg and Wahlberg in their wheelhouse … and lets

Wahlberg be Boston as all get-out:

"You gotta start lettin' Boston workin' for us, I'm tellin' ya."

Split

Pretty much no one saw it coming, but M. Night Shyamalan's surprise hit, Split, is among

the best films of the year.

The taut thriller follows a group of young women abducted by a man, played by James McAvoy,

with multiple personalities.

And those personalities' struggle for dominance threaten to upend his plans…or make things

even worse for his captives.

Critics have hailed it as an unexpected return to form for the writer/director, and a big

part of the film's buzz comes from Shyamalan's traditional big twist in the final act.

And it isn't just the shocking fact that the twist is actually good this time that makes

Split so much fun, either.

McAvoy ties it all together with a tour de force performance.

The Founder

This true-story tale follows Ray Kroc, played by Michael Keaton, and the twisty real-life

saga of how the McDonald's fast-food chain was born.

For those who've never stopped to consider the Big Mac's origin story, it's a surprisingly

timely tale that delves into the dark side of the American Dream.

"I just cannot stop thinking about this tremendous restaurant!"

Critics have praised Keaton for his multifaceted performance.

And while some have noted that the movie could have dug a little deeper, it all goes down

about as easy as a Micky D's shake...

"Do they have Krusty partially gelatinated, non-dairy gum-based beverages?"

"Mmm hmmm…

They call them shakes."

"Shakes?

You don't know what you're getting."

Get Out

Point to a February horror movie on your average release calendar, and you're probably singling

out a pretty lame film.

but there's always an exception.

This year, Get Out is that amazing exception.

Helmed by first-time feature director Jordan Peele of Key & Peele fame …

"Everybody here gets to design their own gremlin."

… this horror/comedy hybrid follows the increasingly frightening misadventures of

a young man venturing into the suburbs to meet his girlfriend's parents.

They have no idea he's black until he arrives, which feeds into the film's creeping tension…but

of course, that's only the start.

Thrilling as it is thought-provoking, this is one 2017 movie no film buff will want to

miss.

Logan

Comics fans have loved Wolverine for decades, partly because the character has a dark, violent

streak a mile wide.

And although Hugh Jackman has played the X-Man just about perfectly, none of those outings

have truly captured the grueling angst and berserker rage that help make his saga so

poignant.

That all changes with Logan, a loose adaptation of the Old Man Logan comic book story that

finds our hero in a grim wasteland, called upon to defend a mysterious girl targeted

by a pack of bloodthirsty villains.

A brooding Western road trip with claws, Logan's been hailed by critics as a fitting farewell

for Jackman — and perhaps the best entry in the X-Men franchise to date.

Kong: Skull Island

It's been a long time coming, but Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures knocked it out of the

park with the new-look version of King Kong in Skull Island.

The story follows a team of explorers and soldiers as they head off to a mysterious

island...that turns out to be the home of giant monsters.

Critics have been raving about the A-list cast, praising the aesthetics of the 1970s

setting, and saying it strikes the perfect balance of big stakes, dumb fun, and wildly

enjoyable action.

"I call 'em skull crawlers…"

"Why?"

"Never said that name out loud before.

It sounds stupid now that I said it.

You call 'em whatever you want."

It also looks to set the stage for an eventual crossover with Godzilla that'll set up the

studio's MonsterVerse.

Skull Island is only the beginning.

With luck, we'll finally get that modern reboot of the greatest monster story ever told: Godzilla's

journey to become a great dad.

The HUEYS in NONE the NUMBER A Counting ADVENTURE by Oliver Jeffers.

"How many lumps of cheese do you see just there?"

"Umm...

I don't see any."

"That's because there are none!"

"Is none a number?"

"Of course.

It's one less than one."

"I see.

So one more than none is... one?"

"That's right...

Like that ONE light blue phone over there.

1

Yes...

I'll hold

2

If you add another ONE you have TWO, like two sleeps until the big day.

3

After that, it's THREE, like my collection of chairs

Then FOUR.

That's how many tantrums Kevin throws every day

4

I want it now

It was MY turn!

not hungry

STUPID THING

FIVE hats that Rupert has to choose from.

5

6

SIX fishermen waiting for the bus.

SEVEN oranges I balanced on some things yesterday.

7

can we come down now?

EIGHT party guests trying to guess the gift.

8

ooh... a TENNIS RACQUET

I think it's A BALLOON!

PERhaps a BALL?

NO WAY It's a TRAIN SET

this is just a guess... but SOMETHING TElls me IT's A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

YOU'RE All WRONG!

I think it's a NEW puppy.

SOCKS

who is it For?

9

NINE seagulls that are after Frank's chips.

10

TEN trumpeters walking by.

Quite a spectacle when you put it all together."

"Ooh."

"But when you take them all away..."

... you get NONE."

"Oh."

"Is none a number?"

REALLY?

We've just been over this!

So is 'none' really a number?

To a mathematician, zero might be the most important number there is.

The ancient Egyptians and Babylonians already had symbols corresponding to zero.

The oldest known text using 0 as a digit in a decimal system like our own is from 5th

century India.

Ancient Greek philosophers worried about whether zero was really a number - how can nothing

be something?

Some even thought that 1 should not qualify, claiming 2 as the smallest number.

Zero is an integer (whole number) - the only one which is neither positive nor negative.

The natural numbers or counting numbers are sometimes taken to be {0, 1, 2, 3,...} and

sometimes {1, 2, 3, 4,...} - whether to include zero is a matter of taste and convention.

As you can see from this book, there's a good argument for including zero in the counting

numbers, because 'none' is sometimes the right answer when you're asked to count something.

Toxic Mold Attorney Atlanta | Is the Furniture in My Home Something I Should Be Concerned About? - Duration: 2:44.

Carson Jeffries: Good morning, I'm Carson Jeffries with the Mold Firm and I'm here today

with long-time friend and owner of Air Allergen & Mold Testing.

Richard Johnson: My name is Richard Johnson and I'm the President/CEO of Air Allergen

& Mold Testing.

We can do a similar kind of sampling that we do in the carpet for furniture.

We have a portable vacuum with a special nozzle and a special gasket that will be able to

capture the dust that contains the mold spores.

We can vacuum that furniture and we can learn something about it in terms of the quantity

of spores that are on there and whether or not they're likely to be growing at that time

or not.

If it's a fabric, we're measuring the dust that has settled down into the fabric.

If we're looking at the framing where it's been water damaged in the bottom, there we

would maybe take a tape sample or swab to find out whether there's mold growth that

associated with water damage.

We can learn about that in terms of furniture by taking those samples.

Our database isn't that complete in the furniture side of it as it is in the carpet dust, but

we can imply based on what we seen in the carpet dust to what we see in the furniture

to give some guidance as to whether or not it's likely that can be cleaned up or whether

it should be discarded.

Carson: In certain cases, you may find that a tenant or a homeowner should not be moving

property from the mold contaminated residence to a new mold-free residence?

Richard: Yes, in some cases that would be true.

Carson: And let me ask you, are there certain spores that can develop on the property that

could cause health defects if that personal property was moved to a new location, say,

a large upholster couch?

Richard: Well, yes, because any of the spores that would be in that couch, if the conditions

are right, are going to grow.

If they grow, they're putting those spores out into the air.

And those spores that are already into the air, if they find another place to grow as

well, the more places that they can find in an environment that they can grow in, they

can continue to reproduce.

The Future of Our Planet - Duration: 6:09.

So the Earth, huh. Yeah it's pretty sweet.

Over the last few years scientists have reported

we've entered a new geological epoch, the

Anthropocene. It is defined as a

geological time period in which human

activity has been the most dominant

influence on the climate and on the

environment. Before it was ice ages and

large-scale planetary events, now it's us.

Which brings us to today's question, what

will the earth look like in the future?

Well we constantly hear about the

changes global warming will bring in

the near future but what about if we

look into the far future, what will we

see? So let's go a little bit ahead say

500 years in the future.

Well in the year 2,500 the Earth will be: A; either too hot

for human life. So scientists think that

due to fossil fuels and climate change

here at will simply be too hot to

sustain life. Others think that the earth

will either be the same or even a little

bit colder as we will probably enter a

mini ice age. Physicist and futurist

Michio Kaku predicts that in roughly maybe

100 years humanity will make the leap

from a type 0 civilization to a type 1

civilization on the Kardashev scale. A

type 1 civilization is a civilization

that can harness the entire sum of

planets energy, a type 2 civilization can

harness a sun's energy, a type 3 and

galaxies. Now these are entirely

theoretical and a type 2 or type 3 are

millions of years away but a type 1

we could see that in about a hundred

years. Wielding such power of humans

would be masters of clean renewable

energy. They would be able to manipulate

Earth's energy in order to control our

climate. So let's go a bit further how about

50,000 years.

In 50,000 years we will almost certainly

face a catastrophe that will change the

planets face forever. The catastrophe

could take the form of an asteroid or a

comet which upon striking the earth

would be the end of the world as we know

it and I feel fine. Astronomers estimate

that such impacts occur every million

years on average so the odds are still

in our favor that we would be alive even

fifty thousand years into the future. A

more likely cataclysm will come from the

earth itself, the same tectonic plates

that cause the continents to across the

globe also power super volcanoes that

can spew enough ash and smoke into the

atmosphere to block the sun's rays for

10 to 15 years. Geologists believe that

such eruptions occur every 50,000 years

so the odds here aren't in our favor

like Yellowstone or something would

probably erupt and kill most of the

plant life by blocking of the Sun for

decades. Yet this is 50 thousand years

into the future so if humanity even

still exists at this point chances are

we would probably be spread out amongst

the stars.

Oh and at this point in the future the

Earth's decelaration will have gotten

to the point where we have to add 1

seconds to the clock every day. In 100,000

years the earth will have definitely

undergone a super volcano eruption that

would block at the Sun for decades. Also

due to the movement of stars nearly all

constellations that we see today will be

unrecognizable at that point. In 500,000

years earth will have most certainly

been hit by an asteroid one kilometer in

diameter assuming we can't avert it. Also

at this point badlands national park in

South Dakota will have eroded away

completely.

In 1,000,000 year's time earth will

likely have undergone a super a volcanic

eruption large enough to erupt 3200

kilometers cubed of magma, an event

comparable to the Toba super eruption

75,000 years ago which caused a 1000

year long cooling period of Earth's

climate. But on the awesome side if the

sky isn't blocked out by decades-long

probably hundreds of years long ash and

we can see the sky the red supergiant

betelgeuse will erupt in a giant

supernova and it can be seen during

daylight hours so, so there's that.

In 50 million years time Africa will

collide with Eurasia forming a mountain

range similar to the Himalayas where the

Mediterranean Sea is now at that point

all continents on earth may fuse into a

supercontinent and the earth will look

something like this. And on and on it goes until

at one point the seas dry up due to the

suns increasing luminosity, the earth

boils over as temperatures reach 149

degrees Celsius and in 7.9

billion years the Sun will expand and

swallow Mercury, Venus and most likely us

as well.

And then the universe will snuff out

after that. If you'd like to know if

humanity will still be alive at this

point I would recommend you check out my

video about how the universe will end but

it's most likely we will either have

gone the way of the dinosaurs or the way

of star trek. Thanks for watching, Mike Out

9 Things Your Pooping Habits Say About Your Health - Duration: 6:32.

1. There's no rule that says you have to go once a day.

"The rule with pooping is there's no such thing as normal-just normal from one person's perspective," says Schnoll-Sussman.

So what if you're a once-a-day pooper who's suddenly going three or four times a day? Schnoll-Sussman says that it could be as

simple as your diet (eat some sketchy meat recently?) or as complex as an infectious diarrheal disease.

It could even be a good change; maybe you've started eating more fiber.

The important thing is to go to your doctor if your new pooping schedule gives you a constant upset stomach or your frequent bathroom trips

start to make social situations.

2. Being regular's a good thing.

If you can set your watch to your bowel movements, it means that you have a healthy digestive system. But don't worry if you aren't

quite so regular.

You can poop at any point in the day, but experts have noticed that it's common to visit the porcelain throne first thing in the morning.

"Most people eat the heaviest meal in the evening," Schnoll-Sussman says. "So when you wake up, there's been hours and hours for food

to digest and position itself in your bowel.

She also explains that when you're lying flat, your bowels close off so you won't feel enough pressure to wake up to poop.

But when you stand up, your bowels open and everything shifts downward.

3. Running to the bathroom after meals doesn't always signal trouble.

If dinner seems like it goes right through you, it's not because you have a super-efficient digestive system. Instead, Ganjhu says, it's more like

your digestive tract never grew up.

"Pooping right after you eat is a reflex babies have," she says. For some people, that reflex never goes away.

The stool you pass after dinner isn't from the food you just put in your mouth (even if eating is what triggered the "got to go" reflex), so your

body has had plenty of time to soak up the nutrients.

The only problem, Schnoll-Sussman says, is if your poop is runny, floats, and smells terrible.

4. Your technique matters.

If you feel like pushing stool out takes eons, Schnoll-Sussman, MD,director of the Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health at

New York says it could be because you're not sitting right.

Science has proven that the most effective position for going No. 2 isn't at the 90-degree angle created by sitting on a typical toilet, but

more of a 45-degree angle that you get when you squat over the ground.

It harkens back to the time of our ancestors, when toilets didn't exist and everyone had to squat to go to the bathroom. Squatting changes

the position of your rectum so it's at an angle that lets poop slip out with minimal effort, Schnoll-Sussman says.

Unfortunately, it's not an easy position to master on modern toilets. Our suggestion: Try a Squatty Potty.

5. Take all the time you need.

Do you read the whole newspaper-or get through several levels of Candy Crush-on the toilet? There's nothing wrong with taking your sweet

time or with pooping super-fast.

If it takes you 5 minutes, great, but if it takes 20, that's OK, too, says Schnoll-Sussman. "Most times you don't even have to think about

it," Ganjhu says. "The colon knows when it is empty and done."

6. Drinking coffee gives you the urge to go

It's not just you: Some 30 percent of people feel the urge to have a bowel movement after their morning java. Don't blame the caffeine, says the

Washington Post.

According to the paper, scientists have observed-through some very invasive studies!-that coffee stimulates the distal colon, which

speeds up waste removal, so to speak. Coffee's acidity may be a factor.

Its chlorogenic acid causes the stomach to produce more gastric acid, which could cause the stomach to get rid of its contents more

quickly than normal.

7. You're on vacation and haven't pooped in days

Almost 40 percent of people get constipated when they travel, and it's mainly due to changes in your routine, according to Connecticut-based

gastroenterologist Ed Levine, MD.

Different meal times, a shifted sleeping schedule, or jet lag can throw off your body's circadian rhythm and affect your digestive

process.

8. You have to poop more when you get your period

When your period begins, your body releases hormones called prostaglandins, which help your uterus contract-and can also affect your

bowels, according to Women's Health.

"Prostaglandins have an effect on smooth muscle, and the bowel is actually a smooth muscle," Jennifer Gunter, MD, an ob-gyn in San

Francisco, told the magazine.

9. Your poop refuses to sink

You should hear a splash as your bowel movement hits the bowl. Poops that float may contain fat, which can be a sign your body is

having problems absorbing nutrients from food, according to EverydayHealth.com.

Malabsorption is linked with conditions like celiac disease or chronic pancreatitis.
