Are you awake?

Rebecca stood up.

Unsure of where she was and what was happening, she peered around the small rectangular room.

Walls, floor, ceiling, entirely white.

A small window in one wall.

And in one corner of the room, her brightly-colored, knitted doll was propped up in a wooden chair.

She was alone, and that instantly terrified her.

"Mama, Mama, where are you?" she called out.

I'm right here, honey.

"I can't see you, where are you?"

I know you can't see me, sweetie, but I'm right here.

Rebecca scanned the room again, looking for the source of Mama's voice.

The voice seemed close, like it was all around her, but that would be impossible.

Then she noticed a circular steel grate in the ceiling.

That must be where Mama's voice was coming from.

You want your dollie, honey?

"Mia?

Yes, yes."

She's in the corner on your chair.

Rebecca ran to the chair, snatched the doll with the long blonde braided hair, and clutched

it to her chest.

Are you ready to go to school?

"School?"

Rebecca thought for a moment, then it came to her what school was.

"Oh yes, school.

I can't wait...

Mama?

Will there be lots of other kids there?"

Oh my, yes.

Lots of little girls, just like you.

Rebecca smiled.

If you're going to school you have to know how to play.

Show me you can play, sweety.

Rebecca's blonde ponytail and her pink skirt bounced as she ran a circle around the room.

She laughed, then she skipped another circle for good measure.

Oh my, you are going to have so much fun at school.

Okay, show me something cute.

Show Mama how cute you can be.

Rebecca bent at the waist and smiled broadly, revealing one missing front tooth.

Do your knees feel alright, honey?

Is there something wrong with them?

"No, Mama."

Okay good!

Just remember, don't bend at the waist, sweety.

Bend your knees when you bend over.

We don't want the boys to see your panties.

"Yes, Mama."

Try again.

I need to see you bend at the knees this time.

Rebecca leaned forward again.

This time she bent with her knees and smiled just as big.

Good girl.

Now, can you jump?

Her heels almost touched her skirt as she jumped.

She landed off-balance, she wobbled, but righted herself.

Rebecca laughed.

You sure your knees are okay, sweety?

"They feel fine, Mama."

Okay, good girl.

Rebecca smiled proudly.

Sweetheart, do you remember what day it is?

What did Mama tell you about today?

Rebecca pondered the question.

After a long moment of thought, she just couldn't recall it.

Mama prompted her.

It's the fourth of...

Then the answer came to her.

"It's the Fourth of July."

Right!

And what's the best thing about the Fourth of July?

"Fireworks!"

Rebecca exclaimed with a smile.

You are so smart!

Now, before you go to school I want you to go look out the window.

Rebecca ran to the small window that revealed the world outside her room.

It was hard to see through the smudgy window, but she could see ruins of buildings.

In the distance there was a single newer building surrounded by what looked like men in uniforms.

One thing was clear, the explosions of orange, white, and yellow all around the building.

"Is that what school looks like?"

Rebecca asked.

Yes, dear.

"Can I go there now?

I want to see the fireworks."

Do you remember what soldiers look like, sweety?

Several images filled Rebecca's mind of soldiers in gray or green camouflage, boots, helmets,

guns.

"Yeah, I remember."

And what do you remember about soldiers?

"I love them."

Perfect.

And you want to hug them don't you?

"Yes, as tight as I can.

I never want to let them go."

Whenever you see a soldier I want you to do exactly that.

I want you to run up to them and hug them as tight as you can.

Never let them go.

Can you remember that, sweety?

"Yes, Mama.

Can I go to school now?"

Do you remember your name?

"Um..."

The girl had to ponder this question for a long moment.

She knew, but it was too hard to repeat.

She tried anyway.

"Rebecca...

Rebecca Lance!"

No, Dear.

Replicant.

"Rebic...la... lant?"

Say it like this, honey.

Rep - La - Cant.

"Rep, la, cant."

Oh my, everyone will love you at school.

"Rebecca Lance is easier, Mama.

I don't know if I can remember to say Rebla...

Cance."

You don't have to say it, honey.

Just remember it.

"Oh!

Okay, Mama."

You know everyone already knows who you are, don't you?

"They do?"

Yes, dear.

They can't wait for you to get there, so you'll have to run.

"Oh, I will run.

No one is going to run faster than me!"

Remember, dear, if anyone calls your name, you love them, too.

If anyone shouts "Replicant!"

I want you to hug them as tight as you can.

"I will.

Can I go to school now, Mama?"

One more thing, my dear.

Raise your skirt and remove the blue tape from your tummy.

Rebecca drew up the front of her skirt and tucked it under her chin.

She peeled a three inch strip of blue tape from her stomach.

Under it was a plastic switch.

Rebecca poked at it with her finger.

"What's this thing, Mama?"

That makes the fireworks, honey.

Push that switch down and I will open the door so you can go to school.

Rebecca flipped the switch, it illuminated red.

Rebecca couldn't help but be mesmerized by it.

How does that thing make the fireworks?

The sounds of metal grating against metal filled her ears.

The room began brightening around her.

When the metal grating sound ceased, then the sounds of fireworks exploding and distant

girls laughing were clearer, and much more pleasing.

But, Rebeca's attention was still focused on how she could have a switch in her stomach.

It just made no sense at all.

Put your skirt down, honey.

We don't want the boys to see your panties.

"Yes, Mama."

Rebecca pressed her skirt down over the switch and turned her head to look at herself from

the left and right, making sure her skirt covered her panties.

Pay attention, dear.

Turn around.

"Yes, Mama."

Rebecca turned her attention to the wall.

It was gone.

She saw hundreds of girls in different colored dresses running with dolls in their hands

toward the distant building.

She smiled.

It looked like the girls were having fun.

"Can I go now, Mama?"

Yes, sweetie.

You have fun at school.

She darted outside.

As Rebecca ran she looked back.

There sat a line of rooms to either side of her, stretching off into the distance, for

as far as she could see.

Each room was sending girls to school.

Each room was attached to large ships, and more ships were appearing out of the clouds

and lowering to the ground.

As Rebecca ran through the ruins of old buildings, she began seeing all the other girls doing

exactly what she wanted to do.

Finding soldiers to hug, then the fireworks would follow.

Rebecca hurried her run.

No one was going to run faster than her.

She was going to grab the first soldier she saw and make her own fireworks, just like

Mama told her to.

Do My Own Lawn Care - E 11 - How to Aerate - Duration: 9:06.

One minute I'm complaining about how bad the weather is, next thing you know it, Spring

is officially here and we're ready for the next step in our rehab program!

But before we get into that next step, I wanted to address a comment we got on our dethatching

video, which I very much appreciate.

A viewer had asked after I dethatched the yard, didn't I break down my pre emergent

barrier on the yard?

And the answer is yes!

And if that didn't break it down, what we're going to do today most certainly will.

Just to re emphasis, I don't know what I'm doing.

I'm figuring this out as I go along and I'm reaching out to the customer service staff

to just check and make sure I'm doing things right.

What I should have done is dethatched and prepped the yard, cleaned it up and all that

kind of stuff before putting down a pre emergent, but I did the opposite.

I put down my pre emergent, and then cleaned up and dethatched the yard.

Checking with the customer service staff, this isn't a huge problem.

I'll just use a different pre emergent with a different active ingredient to put down

on the lawn so that I can prevent new weeds from germinating.

Gorgeous sunrise though!

Now on to today's topic!

Aerating!

Thanks to Spring finally getting here and giving us the wonderful and beautiful warm

weather that we needed for the lawn to start to green up, I can now bust this guy out,

punch some holes in the yard in prep for fertilizing and overseeding.

But, as usual, I wanted to go over some tips and some things to consider when you go to

aerate the yard.

Let's first go over the tools that you can use to aerate your yard.

This is a motorized core aerator.

This is the method that I'm going to use because, again, I got 6400 square feet that I'm dealing

with, and this will make light work of it.

There's two main methods we can use to aerate the yard.

We can go manual, or motorized.

For the manual method you'll use something like this that uses good old foot power to

plunge two to four hollow cylinders into the soil to extract cores and punch holes.

The other method is, you can strap on some spiked shoes, to walk across the yard and

punch holes, but it doesn't remove soil cores, which is what we don't want to use.

Remember the whole reason for aerating, is to bust up soil compaction.

I'm going to use the motorized method because it's got spiked tines on the back that will

pull out some cores for me and bust up that soil compaction around the whole yard.

There's a couple of things to keep in mind about a motorized core aerator like this one.

It's large and it's heavy.

And it's going to require some physical strength to move it around and operate it.

If you can, I would plan on having a couple of people with you and a full size truck,

if at all possible, to move it around and get it to your house.

The other thing that you can do is partner with your neighbors to share the cost on renting

it.

And they can provide the extra muscle to manage the machine for you.

Now typically the busies rental times for aerators are Spring and Fall weekends.

If you know you're going to be aerating, make a reservation early, avoid the crowds, and

try to aerate on a weekday if at all possible.

One other thing I want to do before I fire up the aerator...I'm going to scalp my yard!

That was kind of depressing to scalp it down.

But it was for a purpose!

The reason for scalping the lawn down like this is so that we can allow fertilizer and

the new seed to get down to the soil level.

Before you aerate, I would walk around the yard, and take note of any kind obstacles

that might be in the way; like termite bait stations or sprinkler heads, buried utility

lines that might be pretty shallow, or shallow irrigation lines; anything you don't want

to hit with the aerator, take note of it, and try and go around it.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm going to get the core aerator in the yard and start

punching holes.

Now the way I'm going to tackle it, is I'm going to do a checkerboard kind of pattern.

I'll make passes going one way and then I'll make more passes going the other.

That way I make sure to get as many holes punched in it as possible.

So let's get to it!

Been waiting for this moment for awhile!

After we get done aerating, we want to leave a lot of the plugs in the yard to decompose

because they contain beneficial microorganisms that are going to help the lawn thrive.

So, back you go little fella!

And you!

Core aerating like this, is going to bring up a lot of weed seeds from the lower soil

levels.

So for cool season grasses, you should plan to use a pre emergent herbicide in the spring

following a fall aeration.

For warm season turf, apply the herbicide in the fall after aerating.

But what ever you do, do not apply a pre emergent herbicide at the same time you reseed.

Like I'm going to do here in the back yard.

That took some serious work!

But it's done.

Mother nature really played in our favor on this one.

It rained the day before so it helped loosen up the soil so I could take out really good

plugs.

Also its forecast to rain for the next two days.

So I wanted to get out here and aerate so that I could get my fertilizer and my seed

in the back yard, because that rain is going to help water that into the soil.

So that's definitely something you want to do immediately after you aerate.

Fertilize and over seed, if you plan to do that.

If you don't have rain in the forecast like I do, go ahead and water the lawn a few extra

times, especially if it's going to be pretty dry out.

Another long day out of the way, another step in the rehab program logged in the books,

and we're on to the next.

I am planning on fertilizing and overseeding later on today, but I want to make separate

videos on those, so that I can more in depth on those topics and that this video doesn't

get too long.

In the distance there was a single newer building surrounded by what looked like men in uniforms.

One thing was clear, the explosions of orange, white, and yellow all around the building.

"Is that what school looks like?"

Rebecca asked.

Yes, dear.

"Can I go there now?

I want to see the fireworks."

Do you remember what soldiers look like, sweety?

Several images filled Rebecca's mind of soldiers in gray or green camouflage, boots, helmets,

guns.

"Yeah, I remember."

Rebecca poked at it with her finger.

That makes the fireworks, honey.

Push that switch down and I will open the door so you can go to school.

Rebecca flipped the switch, it illuminated red.

Rebecca couldn't help but be mesmerized by it.

How does that thing make the fireworks?

The sounds of metal grating against metal filled her ears.

The room began brightening around her.

When the metal grating sound ceased, then the sounds of fireworks exploding and distant

girls laughing were clearer, and much more pleasing.

But, Rebeca's attention was still focused on how she could have a switch in her stomach.

It just made no sense at all.

Put your skirt down, honey.

We don't want the boys to see your panties.

"Yes, Mama."

Rebecca pressed her skirt down over the switch and turned her head to look at herself from

the left and right, making sure her skirt covered her panties.

Pay attention, dear.

Turn around.

"Yes, Mama."

Rebecca turned her attention to the wall.

It was gone.

She saw hundreds of girls in different colored dresses running with dolls in their hands

toward the distant building.

She smiled.

It looked like the girls were having fun.

"Can I go now, Mama?"

Yes, sweetie.

You have fun at school.

She darted outside.

As Rebecca ran she looked back.

There sat a line of rooms to either side of her, stretching off into the distance, for

as far as she could see.

Each room was sending girls to school.

Each room was attached to large ships, and more ships were appearing out of the clouds

and lowering to the ground.

As Rebecca ran through the ruins of old buildings, she began seeing all the other girls doing

exactly what she wanted to do.

Finding soldiers to hug, then the fireworks would follow.

Rebecca hurried her run.

No one was going to run faster than her.

She was going to grab the first soldier she saw and make her own fireworks, just like

Mama told her to.

Trump and Xi to clash on North Korea issue - Duration: 2:16.

Thursday's U.S.-China summit will be watched closely by countries around the world.

According to our Connie Kim, the outcome is expected to set the tone on the North Korea

issue during the Donald Trump administration.

The much anticipated summit between the leaders of the world's two biggest economies will

put North Korea center stage, reflecting the U.S. President's recent comments about the

regime.

Speaking at a joint White House conference with King Abdullah the Second of Jordan, President

Donald Trump called it his 'responsibility' as president to respond to North Korea's nuclear

ambitions and threats in the Asia-Pacific region.

The meeting of President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping is getting even more

attention,... coming, just after North Korea's ballistic missile launch,... a provocation

quickly condemned in a phone call between the leaders of both the U.S. and Japan.

"We agreed that North Korea's missile launch yesterday was a dangerous provocation and

a serious threat to Japan's national security."

Earlier this week, Trump described the North Korea issue as a "humanity problem" and warned

China that Washington will solve the North Korea issue on its own if Beijing won't exert

pressure on the reclusive regime.

"Whether China is going to really become more serious about implementing sanctions vis-a-vis

North Korea remains to be seen but clearly what Trump's message is, if you don't do it,

we will, I think rely, result in military actions or any kind of action which will actually

cripple North Korea."

But, moving Beijing in that direction may not be easy.

China's foreign ministry has made clear that it does not see any link between North Korea's

Wednesday missile launch and the upcoming summit.

The results of the summit will be closely monitored by South Korea, whose businesses

have been hit hard by China's retaliation against its deployment of the THAAD missile

defense system -- a decision Seoul made to defend itself against North Korean threats.

The summit will also give a clearer picture of how Washington and Beijing are going to

deal with the unpredictable regime.

OK, it's time for a major glow up so let's get started!

Wow!

No, no (sneeze).

We all know how much I love glitter, but I hate how messy it is.

Whenever I use it, it just flies everywhere and even days later I end up finding it

allover the apartment. Ugh, so annoying!

Luckily I learned how to press my glitters, which makes them so easy to use and not messy at all.

First you have to chose a glitter that you want to press.

I'm going for this beautiful dark blue.

Besides glitter you will also need a bit of a rubbing alcohol, glycerin and aloe vera gel.

Take the glitter, pour it in an eyeshadow tin or pot and distribute it evenly.

Suck some alcohol into a syringe and squeeze it in the glitter pot.

You should have enough alcohol to cover the entire container.

And don't worry if you put in too much because alcohol will evaporate eventually.

Next you want to add 5 to 6 drops of glycerin.

I'm using a dropper to do that, but syringe or a simple spoon should do the trick.

Lastly we need to add a bit of aloe vera gel and mix it well to distribute evenly around the container.

Leave the alcohol to evaporate completely, which can take up to a day.

Once the product is all dry, you are left with the amazing pressed glitter, which is

so much more practical and easy to apply than the usual loose version.

You can use your pressed glitters exactly like eyeshadows, they are not messy at all,

but smooth to apply and great for travel.

I also made one in yellow, and I seriously want to press all the other glitters that I own.

They are so convenient.

Nothing is better than a cool glitter eye makeup and now I can make it way more often,

because I know I won't have to deal with all the glitter mess afterwards.

How amazing are these glitter eyes, right?!

There's so many other color combos I want to try so I better start pressing more of

my glitters right away!

Ok, maybe it's not that bad, maybe it's not that bad!

Epic fail at the hairdresser's - we've probably all been there before, right?

If you want to give your hair some funky colored transformation but aren't sure how it will

look on you, a great idea is to dye it temporarily first.

And guess what – to do that you can use your regular eyeshadows.

I know it's hard to believe that you can dye your hair with eyeshadows, but trust me, they

work like a dream! Grab an eyeshadow of your choice.

I went for blue, because you know - it's my favorite color.

Take a hair strand, press the eyeshadow against it like this and start moving down towards

the hair tips. Look at this color payoff!

Isn't it completely mind blowing?

Let's try it with purple as well.

Grab a strand and press the purple shadow towards it.

Pull the eyeshadow down and check this out!

Wash off hairsprays are super expensive and hair chalk is quite hard to find.

But we all have eyeshadows at home already and they are so affordable!

This life hack is perfect for parties, festivals, carnivals, Halloween or just every day.

When you wash your hair the colors will get right off.

It is great if you want to switch up the color of your hair, but are not sure which shade

will look the best on you.

And no worries this totally works on darker hair too – just make sure to use very pigmented

eyeshadows! Go grab some eyeshadows and let the fun begin!

Glitter lips have been a huge trend lately – I saw them on the runways, in music videos

and all over the internet.

Creating a beautiful sparkly lip by patting the glitter on can be quite time consuming

so instead let's make some gorgeous glitter lipsticks!

Make a double boiler by pouring some water into a pan.

Then place in some smaller heat proof pots.

I'm making 3 different lipsticks so 3 pots for me.

Now grab some coconut oil and put about half a teaspoon in each of the pots.

Since coconut oil is very soft we also need to add two to three pieces of beeswax in each

of the containers. This is how we make a lipstick from scratch.

However if you don't have coconut oil or beeswax feel free to simply melt a plain lip balm.

It will work just as great.

Alright it's time to add that beautiful sparkly gorgeousness aka glitter.

I'm going to make green, pink and silver glitter lipsticks.

Pour a generous amount of glitter into each of the bowls and stir the mixture so that

all ingredients incorporate evenly.

How stunning do these look already – absolutely magical.

All we got to do now is pour these glitter liquids in some lipstick containers or lip

balm pots and leave them to cool down completely.

This shouldn't take long at all - about 3 to 5 minutes.

But if you want to speed up the cooling process, pop your lipsticks in the fridge and you're

ready to use them in no time.

Check out how gorgeous they are!

I honestly love them so much.

The pink one turned out to be super wearable, while the silver lipstick makes your lips

look like an epic disco ball!

Pretty cool for a party or some special festivities.

The key to achieving those gorgeous opaque glitter lips is to use a lot of glitter in your lipsticks.

I also made some multi colored lipsticks where I alternated between all the three colors

while pouring in the mixtures.

It's very important that you are using non toxic glitter or even better edible glitter.

Al in all, these glitter lipsticks were so easy and affordable to make yet they

turned out fantastic. Love them!

You can even pour the mixtures in a lip balm pot and get a gorgeous glittery lipstick wheel.

How cool right?!

Looks familiar?

Right when you're in a desperate need of an eyeliner, you run out of it.

Well, don't stress out girl, because I got your back.

Instead of liquid eyeliners you can use liquid lipsticks!

The best part is that they come in a ton of fun shades so I decided to try out a multi-colored

eyeliner look, starting with a hot pink.

Take an eyeliner brush, load it with some product and you can draw your cat line as usual.

I applied it on the outer part of my eye.

Liquid lipsticks are long lasting, don't smudge and they are easy to apply which makes them

perfect to use as eyeliners.

If you want to make a classic black cat eye you can simply dip your brush in a mascara.

But If you want to create a funky colored line, then liquid lipsticks are absolutely amazing.

I mean look at these epic colors.

Besides hot pink I also used blue, purple and light pink.

I love how they look together.

Who would have thought, right?

Experimenting with makeup is seriously the best thing ever.

You can stick with one lipstick shade and make a solid bright colored eyeliner look,

which is very wearable but still looks very cool.

Or you can go all out making a multi colored bright liner.

This one is perfect for a night out with friends, festival, birthday celebrations or other fun events.

And of course there's no limit in make up, you can wear whatever you like and whenever you like.

Rock this cool eyeliner tidying up your house or gardening, because who says you can't?!

Boring.

Boring.

Boring.

Hmm...

I know!

Why wear a plain lipstick, when you can rock these epic polka dot lips?!

They are super simple to make and look amazing!

Grab any lipstick of your choice and apply it on the lips as usual.

I went for classic red, but literally any color will work!

To make the white dots I'm going to use a white liquid eyeliner.

Take a bobby pin and dip its tip in the liquid eyeliner.

Now you can easily make the perfect white dots all over your lips.

Bobby pin works like a stamp.

What a great trick right?!

If you don't have a white liquid eyeliner, you can use a black one, or even the usual

pencil liners.

Just have fun experimenting and see what works best!

I like the liquid eyeliners because they are very opaque and make the dots really vibrant.

These polka dot lips look so retro and pin-up inspired to me.

No lipstick could ever make your lips so extra and cool.

This simple lip art is perfect for a party, carnival or Halloween.

But you can have so much fun trying different makeup looks every day.

I mean who doesn't like playing dress up all year around, right?

Impossible!

Come on, ugh!

Same old story – Me trying to pack too many things into a suitcase.

It happens every single time.

Luckily there's a great traveling hack, that will make our life so much easier.

You can turn straws into cute little packages that will store all your skincare and beauty necessities.

To make these grab a straw – I went for a pink one and cut it in half.

Take a bobby pin and slide it on the straw, leaving a bit of space between the straw end

and the pin. Next light a candle.

Bring the straw close to the candle flame and move it slowly back and forth to melt

the straw edge.

The heat melts the plastic and seals the opening together making our straw package completely waterproof.

It's time to grab lotions, moisturizers, shampoos etc. and fill up the little containers.

Now we have to repeat the sealing technique on the other side as well.

Melt the opening using a candle and your waterproof packets are ready to travel the world with you.

A good idea is also to write what is inside on the package so you don't mess up and end

up washing your teeth with a moisturizer or something like that.

This is seriously a genius traveling hack!

Especially when you are going away for just a few days and you don't want to bring all

the bulky beauty and skincare products with you.

An old man once told me at the airport, if he could go back in time the only thing he

would change in his life is to travel more and travel lighter.

This life hack makes it possible to travel light even for us girls that need a bunch

of beauty products to survive every day.

Look, my mom got me a new lip gloss!

Wow, it's so pretty!

I know, I'm so happy!

My mom got me a lip gloss too.

Really?!

Oh yeah, it's transparent.

But don't worry, we can fix it.

Really?

That's right, you can always pimp up your transparent or poorly pigmented glosses!

I'm going to transform mine into a gorgeous sparkly lip magic.

All you need is nontoxic glitter of your choice and a clear lip gloss.

To make the mixing part easier you can DIY a little paper funnel and place it in the

gloss opening.

It's time to have fun choosing the glitter color.

This always takes ages because they are all so pretty!

In the end I decided to go for this amazing silver that changes colors depending on how

the light hits it.

You can see everything from pink, purple, green and blue reflections.

So gorgeous!

Alright, let's pour the glitter in the lip gloss container.

Put the little plastic lid in the opening and your glitter lip gloss is all done!

You may need to shake it a bit so that the glitter distributes evenly throughout the

container and this is how the finished product looks like.

You can wear it on its own or you can apply it over a lipstick of any color.

Since this gloss is transparent, it won't affect the color of the lipststick, it will

just add a beautiful shine and sparkle to the lips.

Let's make another glitter lip gloss, which besides giving sparkles to the lips,

also adds color!

Grab a transparent lip gloss, some glitter, and an old eyeshadow.

This time I decided to make a pinky glitter gloss, so I chose pink glitter.

You guys made fun of me in the comments of last video saying that I have an obsession

with glitter and galaxy and you're right.

I do have a problem, it's serious.

Just as we did before, we have to pour our glitter into the tube.

To give our gloss a nice pink pigmentation, we need an old pink eyeshadow or loose pigment.

Scrape some of the eyeshadow on a piece of paper and the more shadow you use, the more

pigmented your lip gloss will be.

That's enough for me so let's pour it into our lip gloss container.

If your shadow gets stuck in the funnel like mine, a toothpick comes in very handy.

There we go, place on the little cap, mix the ingredients together and you are ready

to use your new lip gloss.

Besides the beautiful sparkly glitter and shine, this one will also give your lips a

pretty rosy color.

I am in love with both of these lip glosses and not going to lie – I literally want

to make one using every single glitter that I own.

Here you can see the swatches – our pink glitter gloss gives sparkle and rosy color,

while the silver one gives us just the sparkle.

This makes it perfect for layering on top of any kind of lipsticks.

With this lip gloss you will in a way double your lipstick collection, because for every

lipstick color that you own, you will now have a sparkly stardust version as well.

How brilliant is that!

Um... I got something to tell you, I know you may not agree but I'm old enough and I wanted

this for years, so...

Well, I got a tattoo!

If you want to get a tattoo, but your mom doesn't let you or you're afraid to commit

to it for the rest of your life, a great idea is to try a temporary tattoo first.

I'll show you how you can DIY your own metallic flash tattoo.

Take a pencil eyeliner.

You can a black one, colored or metallic one like I did.

First you need to draw your design on the skin.

I decided to make a henna inspired tattoo on my hand.

I started making some silver dots along my middle finger and up my hand.

Then I took a golden bronze eyeliner and draw a V shape and so on.

You can be really creative and make so many different designs.

And the best part is that if you mess it up, simply erase your errors with a makeup remover.

I also drew some triangles, dots and lines to finish up my tattoo.

When you're happy with the design, take a hairspray and spray it allover your tattoo.

The hairspray will make it way more long lasting and will prevent smudging.

How cool is that!

Such metallic tattoos have been so popular lately and I think they look stunning.

Especially in the summer with a bit of a tan.

If you're attending any music festivals this year they are definitely a must have accessory.

You can also make your own tattoos using liquid eyeliners, which will make them even more

vibrant and long lasting.

All in all I think this DIY is a bomb and I'm obsessed with it!

Tinted lip balm is the same as lipstick!

You're not allowed to wear it!

And what is this?!

A transparent mascara! Is this a joke?!

You're too young for makeup! I told you many times!

Now do your homework!

I hate everything!

Your mom doesn't let you wear makeup either?

Guess what, I'll show you three different ways to turn a plain and boring transparent

lip balm into a beautiful tinted one!

The 3 easiest ways to give color to a lip balm is by using lipstick shavings, food coloring

or eyeshadow pigment.

Make a double boiler by pouring water into a pan and placing in some smaller heat proof bowls.

Grab a plain lip balm, and pull it out of its container.

Pop the lip balm into a double boiler.

I have three containers as I'll show you three different versions.

Here I'm taking a piece of my mom's lipstick, hoping that she will never notice, and popping

it into one of the melting pots.

In the next container I'm adding a bit of eyeshadow pigment.

In the last bowl I'm pouring some food coloring in a dust form, because it mixes with oils

better than liquid or gel food coloring.

Leave the tinted lip balm mixtures to melt completely.

You'll notice how the lipstick, pigment and food coloring will start giving a beautiful

tint to our lip balm.

Give all the three a quick little stir to distribute the color evenly and now you can

take them off the heat.

Pour the mixtures into a lipstick tube or lip balm pot and leave them to cool down completely.

I love how they turned out!

Think about how many different colored tinted lip balms you can make.

There's a huge variety of food colorings and you can get eyeshadow pigments in pretty much

any possible color too.

So you can really have a ton of fun creating different tinted lip balms.

They will make your lips soft and pretty, because they contain all the nourishing benefits

of a lip balm.

And since a bit of color never hurt nobody, they will also give your lips a bit of that

pretty rosy, red or violet sheen.

I always need to have a lip balm with me wherever I go and if it also makes my lips pretty and

colored, even better!

Honey, do you know what happened to my lipstick?!

Our tinted lip balms are looking amazing but it's time to fix the clear mascara as well.

To do that I'm going to be using – you guessed it – glitter!

Open up your transparent mascara and remove the little plastic cap.

Grab a paper funnel and place it in the opening.

Chose your favorite glitter – you can go for one solid color, or you can totally experiment

and mix different glitter shades for a fun sparkly colorful explosion.

In the end I decided to keep it classic and went for silver glitter.

You guys know the drill – simply pour the glitter in the tube.

The more glitter you use, more sparkly your lashes will be.

Remove the funnel and place the plastic cap back on.

Grab your mascara wand and you are ready to use this gorgeous sparkly mascara!

I was quite skeptical when making this DIY because I didn't really know how the mascara

will turn out and how the product will apply on the lashes.

But OMG this DIY is one of my favorites because the mascara applies so lovely on the lashes

and it gives the most beautiful sparkle to the eyes.

I was actually surprised how wearable this turned out.

For me this is perfect for any party, a festival and honestly also every day.

It really does not look over the top at all and the glitters aren't super visible

they just give those pretty reflective sparkles when they catch the light.

I love clear mascaras as you can literally make anything out of them.

They are like a blank canvas and allow you to have so much fun creating something new

and epic.

If you want to make a black mascara simply mix in a bit of black eyeshadow.

For colored mascaras use colorful eyeshadows or pigments.

Sky is the limit!

I love my silver glitter mascara and I will wear it loads for sure

There are no rules in makeup.

Mix it, match it and most of all, have a lot of fun with it!

Liquid lipsticks as eyeliners, glitter mascaras, eyeshadows as hair dye.

Who says you can't do it!?

Break out of established patterns and look at things in a different way.

There's a whole new world waiting for you on the other side of the ordinary.

due to unfavorable weather conditions and the sheer weight of the ferry,... the preparations

have slowed,... with the first equipment test bearing little fruit.

"In the first test, the ferry was lifted, although not entirely.

Because of the weather and the process being undertaken at night, officials were not able

to confirm the condition of the vessel and steel lifting beams."

The Sewol-ho is currently sitting on 33 lifting beams -- which were used to salvage the vessel

from the sea.

During Thursday's test, more than a third of the beams were not able to be lifted,...

due to the excess water and mud inside the vessel.

The ferry is estimated to weigh about 14-thousand-600 tons.

To get it onto land, it will be set onto 480 modular transporters,... each of which can

withstand a maximum weight of 40 tons.

Crews will now have to adjust the placement of the transporters to match the distribution

of weight in the vessel.

They are considering the possibility of adding more lifting beams,... or increasing the number

of modular transporters.

"At this point, it is difficult to know when the ship will be transferred to land,... but

the government is aiming to complete the operation by April 10th... and says it will do all it

can to make that happen."

However, if the current plan doesn't bring about the desired results,... they plan to

swap the modular transporters for ones that can endure 60 tons each.

But as that would mean fewer transporters, there would also be a reduction in the area

over which the weight would be distributed, so the vessel would have to be rebalanced.

Meanwhile, the transfer delay has also postponed the search for nine passengers who are still

missing, but officials now say they will also consider starting the search operation before

the transfer onto land is complete.

Learn How To Teach The Coolest Dog Tricks Using Shaping - Duration: 5:31.

- You can teach your dog just about any trick imaginable

using the method of shaping.

Today, I'm gonna teach you about what shaping is

and how you can use it to teach your dog

to do a silly circus trick like this one,

standing on or inside a box.

My name's Kayl McCann

and this is my five month old border collie puppy, Bee-Line.

Welcome to McCannn Dogs.

(barking)

Now, you may be wondering why I'm holding her collar.

Well, just before we turned the camera on,

I could literally not get her out off of the box

because she's had so many rewards.

She thinks this is the most fun thing ever

so hopefully she can be patient enough

that I can explain this trick to you.

Now, the first thing you need to do

is make sure that you do have a box

that's well sized to your dog.

She could easily fit inside this because she's pretty small.

If you have a bigger dog,

I would suggest you get something bigger

that your dog can easily get inside of.

Now, what I'm going to do

is I'm gonna release her in a second to offer a behavior.

Anything that she does in relationship to this box,

I'm gonna yes and reward her for.

Now, I'm gonna use a clicker today

but if you just wanna use the word yes,

that certainly works as well.

So I'm gonna get a couple cookies ready here

and I'm just gonna let go and see what she does.

Okay.

Yes, surprise surprise.

Yes and I'm just gonna wait

until she gets all four feet inside the box.

Good girl and I'm gonna throw a cookie away.

Okay.

Here it is.

Good and then I'm gonna see if she offers again.

Yes.

So two feet in, yes, good girl.

Three feet in, yes, good girl.

Okay, get it

and I'm gonna encourage her to get out of the box

with a treat on the floor there and try it one more time.

Yes, good girl.

Yes.

Yes, good girl.

And you can just repeat this process

as many times as you can

until the dog really starts to get the hang of it.

Yes, good girl, Bee.

Very nice.

The other version of this that you can try

is flipping your box upside down

and teaching your dog to actually get up on top of it

as if it's a pedestal.

Now, I'm just bracing it with my feet here

because what I don't want to happen

is have her have the confidence to get up on the box

and then have it topple over and scare her.

So I just sorta have it braced between my legs

to keep it secure and again, I'm gonna let her go

and anything that she does with the box,

I'm gonna yes and reward her for.

Okay.

Yes.

Yes, good girl.

Yes, good.

Okay, get it.

Try again.

Yes, so I'm not luring her on the box.

She's thinking of the idea of getting on the box herself

and that's the idea of shaping.

So there's no consequence, there's no negative.

I'm just reinforcing her, good girl,

when she does something that I like.

Okay.

Good girl.

Yes and I'm just using my timing

to make sure that I'm clicking at the appropriate moment.

Yes, good girl.

Okay.

Now, once your puppy gets the hang

of getting inside the box that's a bit bigger,

you can start to make this trick more advanced

by using something smaller.

Now, this is something that I did a lot with her as a puppy.

I haven't done as much recently

so I'm actually hopeful

that it's gonna be a good demonstration

because she's not gonna ace it quite so quickly.

I'm gonna actually start with it upside down

so she has to get on top of it.

That's the easier version of the two

so I'm gonna start off by having her

get thinking about getting her four feet in a small space

so when I do go to flip it over,

it's a lot easier for her to be successful.

So again, I'm gonna start with the box upside down

and I'm gonna brace it so that it can't topple over

when she tries to get on top of it.

Okay, Bee.

Good girl.

So she has to balance a lot more to stay on top of this.

Yes.

So if her feet come down, I just ignore that.

Yes.

See what else she'll try on it.

She might even offer a sit or a down.

Yes, good girl.

And for the sit, you'll notice

I'm feeding with my hand high.

Yes, good girl.

Very nice.

Good girl.

Last but not least, I'm gonna see

if she can get all four feet inside this box.

Now, I do this because it's great for her coordination.

It teaches her how to have really great body awareness

especially for some of the agility training that I do

but honestly, it's really great for your dog's mind.

One of the best ways to tire your dog out

is by doing it mentally.

So playing fun little games like this

is a great way to keep your dog tired out

and also obviously a very fun party trick.

So I'm gonna see if she'll, yes, good.

Start by getting a couple paws in here

and I'm gonna reward her a little bit more on this one

because this is a lot more challenging.

Yes, good girl.

Excellent, so I jackpot reward my dogs

when they do a good job.

Yes, good girl, good.

Okay, get it.

Yes, good.

Good girl.

Yes, excellent, good girl.

Okay, one more time.

Get it.

Oh, you're so smart, Bee, good girl.

Yes.

And obviously, the last step would be

starting to put it on a command of your choice.

Now, this trick is relatively new for Bee-Line

so I haven't yet progressed to the point

where I've put this on a command.

You've shed blood, sweat and tears- not to mention a hair shade or two

towards growing your business.

You've worked excruciating hours for years through good times and bad, making all sorts

of sacrifices.

And the day is finally here...you are about to sell your business and ride off into the

sunset with your bags of money...but wait...you obviously know what you are doing when it

comes to BUILDING a business...but chances are that you've never been in the business of

SELLING your business.

I'm Nancy Graham, and I'll be walking you through some of the things to think about in selling your business.

In today's No Dumb Questions.

If you've never sold a business before, how do you address important questions you

may not have even thought to think about?

I've found it helps to step through a handful of "-als."

These include: emotionals, behaviourals, practicals, logisticals and, finally, financials.

Let's start with the "emotionals."

Are you really ready to sell?

If you've not yet done so, take some time to step back and evaluate your life as a whole.

Think through your greater goals – the ones you have for your family, you, your community

and your career.

How does your business fit in … or does it?

Is it still essential or at least integral to your big picture, or has it started detracting

away, instead of adding to what you really want out of life?

Next, prepare for the "behaviourals."

It's unlikely you're selling your business on a whim, but you are probably still not

fully aware of what you and your family are about to get yourself into.

If you've already outlasted others and succeeded as a "player" in your field of expertise,

it can be hard to accept how vulnerable you may feel when the time comes to think about

cashing in your winning chips.

Are you ready to step outside of your comfort zone and remain stoic in the face of unfamiliar

risks?

This is no "quick rip of the Band-Aid" either.

Expect the discomforting transition to take at least a year or two.

Once you're mentally prepared to step away from your business, it's time for the "practicals,"

or planning for your "What's next?"

Will you fully retire?

If so, what will you be doing with your new-found free time … and how much will it cost?

Maybe you'd rather take on a new career or another business opportunity.

Have you thought through not only what that new endeavor might be, but what it will demand

from you and your family?

Whatever your dreams may be, avoid the common mistake of treating them as vague, "some

day" afterthoughts.

Integrate them into your practical due diligence sooner than later.

Next, line up your "logisticals."

Through the years, I've worked with many people

in transition into new careers new businesses and/or retirement.

In my experience, selling even the best of businesses is rarely a cake walk.

It's more like slogging through cold molasses.

Or actually, it's usually a bit of both – heated frenzies of activity interspersed

with painful pauses beyond anyone's control.

The better you've prepared for every possibility, the more likely your project will flow along

more smoothly.

Typically, that takes the advice and expertise of a team.

Are you a sole proprietorship or a partnership?

Is your liability structured limited or unlimited?

Is your current structure appropriate for a potential sale?

An experienced accountant and able lawyer can help you evaluate and optimize your business

and its structure as needed.

Your accountant can also help you plan for and manage the capital gains

and related tax-optimization

strategies before, during and after the sale.

You should also seriously consider looping in your financial planner from the begining.

I'm not just saying this because I am one, but I HAVE found that the sooner I'm brought

into the process, the better I can support you and help you prepare for the transaction.

as well as help you manage the pile of proceeds that come from it. In fact, even if

you're not fully committed to selling your business in the near future

It can help to talk through with your advisors to save yourself hassles and headaches

if and when the time does comes

Why wait t'il you're burnt out or a health issue arises

and you're under the gun to sell right away.

You'll likely thank yourself many dollars over if you've already done the prep work

working with your team, including an experienced business broker to think through

what your business is really worth. Not just to you but to a potential buyer.

May highlight changes you can make sooner than later

to increase its intrinsic value or tax-shelter, its proceeds.

Some of these changes may take time to complete and even if you don't end up selling

they may add to your bottom line and help you think through how the value

and the salability of your business fits in with the rest of your plans.

That brings me to my final point – your financials.

Once the money is in hand, you'll want to revisit your earlier plans to ensure they

remain on track … or adjust them if they need to be.

Are the proceeds of the sale still sufficient to support your goals or have your circumstances

evolved?

Where are the assets going, and how should they be managed for their intended role?

If you're starting another business or spending on other near-term needs, you may need to

allocate some of the proceeds to liquid cash or cash equivalents.

If you plan to use the money for long-term goals like retirement, you may want to put

it to work in the stock or bond markets, balancing your personal risk tolerances with your practical

wealth objectives.

You'll also want to prepare a tax-efficient drawdown strategy – replacing your business

income with a prudent "salary" from your investments.

If you had existing investments, have you revisited them, to see if your new assets

and new lifestyle may warrant a new money management plans?

Whether your goals are the same or different, look for ways to minimize taxes and other

expenses, while maximizing your most efficient strategy for achieving them.

Of course, when you decide to sell your business, you want all of that hard work and labor of

love to pay off in hard, lovely dollars – the more the merrier.

That said, too often, I've seen proceeds from the sale of a business exceed expectations

… only to evaporate through lack of planning.

By first preparing for the emotionals, behaviourals, practicals and logisticals, you stand the

best chance of ensuring that the financials from the sale of your business will go the

distance for you and your family.
