Youtube daily report Jan 23 2018

one, two, three, four!

Rev up your engines!

It's time for the Scotty Kilmer Channel

today I'm going to talk about the use of ethanol and gasoline in cars, now Henry

Ford originally made the Model T to run on either ethanol or to run on gasoline,

but in 1927, he came up with the model A that could only run on gasoline, that was

pretty much the end for ethanol, at least until recently

now ethanol is becoming popular again, today ethanol is making a comeback the

United States makes 62 percent of the ethanol produced in the world, while

Brazil produces 25% of the ethanol made in the world, now Brazil uses cars that

run on ethanol, 87 percent of their cars run on ethanol, while in the United

States it's a lot smaller figure, it's only 7% of the cars can run on ethanol,

the main ethanol fuel in the United States is called e85, it's a mixture of 85%

ethanol and 15% gasoline, now it is to contain some gasoline because pure ethanol

is really hard to start a car when it's cold, so the gasoline helps it

start up and run better when it's cold, and as I said, 7% of the car sold in the

United States can use that, they're called flex fuel vehicles, and you can

only use them in Flex vehicles, you cannot use them in a normal vehicle, they

won't run right on e85, now if you're not sure if your car is, just get your VIN

number, call up a dealer, they can tell you if it's a flex fuel or not, if it is

a flex fuel vehicle, you can use e85, now here in Texas, being an oil state, E85 is

not that popular, I was going to do a little shoot at an e85 station, but it's was going to

take me an hour and a half round-trip to even get there where I could find one,

but if you live in the farmland, hey they'll be all over the place, because

the farmers love E85, they grow the corn they make a lot of money selling

the corn, and the corns turned into the ethanol, like this, the corn goes to a

refining plant, where it's turned into barrels of ethanol, but the truth of the

matter, in the United States, most of that ethanol is used to boost octane in your

regular gasoline, if you use regular gas look at the pump, it'll say may contain

10% ethanol, well I guarantee you most of it as 10% ethanol, but if you do

have a flex-fuel car and you want to run it on E85, here's the pluses and

minuses of that, since ethanol contains about 20% less pure energy than gasoline

you're going to get about 20% worse gas mileage using e85, then you will using

gasoline, but ethanol burns cleaner, your car's going to pollute less, and it

actually runs better in the engine, and makes the engine run cleaner and

actually can last longer, and since a modern e85 cars really complex, it can

run on any mixture, you could put one tank of pure gasoline, then later you can

mix that with E85, the computers on board are able to make it run perfectly

with any mix of alcohol and gasoline in a flex-fuel car, I've got customers with

them, and sometimes they drive them like this, if they're just doing regular city driving

they use gasoline to get little better gas mileage, but if they go on

the highway, they want a little more power on a trip, they use the e85 and it

runs so much smoother and they have a little bit more power, if you live in

Brazil, you're not going to have any choice, it's pretty much mandated that you're

going to use some type of ethanol gasoline mixture to run your car on, but

here in the United States, you got free room you can pick to use it, or pick not

to use it it's your choice ultimately, and as

Henry Ford originally believed, you can make ethanol out of any kind of biomass,

so a lot of waste products you could turn into ethanol, if we run out of

gasoline, we can switch to ethanol just like that, and remember if you

have any car questions, just visit the Scotty Kilmer channel,

so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to

ring that Bell!

Train Jam Argentina 2017 Documentary | We have train, we have developers | Press Over - Duration: 18:24.

We have trains. We have developers.

How are you doing?

We're at the gates of the Argentina Train Jam.

For the first time, 40 Argentine developers

will develop games during the 18 hours

of the trip between CABA and Córdoba.

This was organized by FUNDAV,

supported by Trenes Argentinos and Image Campus.

This is Blas Ingiulla, one of the Train Jam's masterminds.

-How is it going? -Very well. I'm amazed.

We're going to arrive around 1 PM, and we're attending EVA Córdoba.

We were invited by the staff of ADVA.

How did you come up with it and made it possible?

Inspiration obviously came from the Train Jam.

I don't know why we haven't done it before in Argentina.

We have trains. We have developers.

I think everything was just there. No one was picking it up.

I asked for help, and the help was there. And it was pretty much self-organized.

We're at the dining car. We've just had dinner.

We're about to have some coffee.

The teams are still working. It's going to be a long night.

I have no idea where we are. It's too dark outside.

We found Alejandro Iparraguirre,

one of the people responsible for this railway madness.

Tell us how this came about.

The proposal emerged from the community.

We arranged it along with Argentina's FUNDAV.

Blas, a member of the community, came up with the idea.

He thought that we could make an event in Argentina

that was our own take on the USA Train Jam.

The first thing I told him was: "This is going be very hard."

But I like crazy things and I've supported many events.

Undertaking challenges is always interesting, and so we did.

We sent a request through the Trenes Argentinos website,

and they called me immediately.

A call went out, as I've just told you.

In 4 days, we tripled the amount of people who could be here.

We could have filled three cars.

It beat all expectations.

I knew it would go well, but I was worried about time.

Preparing an event like this in 3 weeks…

And we like doing things well, as good as we can make them be.

We came across "Jonah Hill". What's up?

Not much. I'm learning to speak Spanish,

-I'm a bit hopeless. -You quit acting to make games?

Dumbass.

-What's your game? -We're making a beat-em-up

where you control an ovenbird,

which is indigenous to Córdoba, and also to our country.

And you fight wild boars.

How many members are there in your group?

We are 3 people working on graphics and programming.

Many people may think of developers, game designers.

But what can a voice actress add?

Because I work in video games, people assume I'm a programmer.

There are many things that complement video games.

Voice acting is one of them:

to give voices and sound effects to the characters.

Those things season games and make them standard and cool.

What do you think about the challenge of making

a game in 18 hours?

They were only given some guidelines

that I'd like you to try to reproduce.

Time is usually short. Sometimes they have just a weekend.

Sometimes they have to adapt to it.

I don't think that time is the biggest problem here.

There are two major issues. One is internet.

We are working with 3G or 4G, and no Wi-Fi.

I don't like the word "issue." They are more like "terms."

The other term is that we can plug only 7 laptops out of 40

to charge them at the same time.

So that makes it really hard to work properly.

Until the Jam, you are not told about its subject matter.

Why did we anticipate that part of production?

So that the teams had some resources and assets preset.

They could make some progress at home.

We didn't want them to bring a finished game, but the assets.

Do you think you will finish in about 18 hours?

I think so.

Now things have cooled down; there was a lot of noise before.

Now that everybody is working, I think we will have a prototype

ready for EVA Córdoba.

There's no way they're going to sleep.

Let's walk around them, watch them work.

We'll ask them some questions.

How many are you in the team?

We're a team of three.

Will you be able to get some sleep?

No, I don't think so.

How many are you in the team?

Now it's Martin, the artist and me, programming. We're two.

It looks like Ale will help us with the music.

We might be three then.

Working alone?

Yes, exactly. Quite the jackass, aren't I?

Working alone in a Jam.

The thing is...

I work with a lot of people every day.

-You're fed up with people. - Every day is like this for me.

Right now, I prefer to relax, to work at my own pace.

What's your game about?

My game has a "train" theme.

I wanted to make an explosive, tough-to-handle game.

I'm creating a train filled with weapons.

That way, anything you press can fire something.

Despite being alone, do you get feedback?

Do you ask around? Everyone here has experience.

Yes, definitely. That's something to enjoy here.

We're all in the same spot, we all have experience.

We want to know, in your own words,

what guideline did the guys get before coming here?

The founders and I chose it.

I gathered them all and said "let's do this."

I'll try to get it right.

-Something like that. -You rock.

That's an approximation. I did my best.

Ale was like… His face was so…

Something like...

The guideline is a train sound like…

How was the sound supposed to be?

It's already 2 am. We've made the mandatory stop in Rosario.

Many people, like him, got off the train to smoke.

We came to talk to him because

he is outside of the video game developing car. He didn't know.

I really had no idea.

But I liked what you did with the music at the first stop.

You've been locked up for seven hours already.

How goes it?

It's actually pretty crazy.

We were able to start preparing the project's pre-production

before getting on the train, thank God.

It's been seven hours, eleven more to go.

How are you doing?

We're holding up pretty well considering it's been 7 hours.

Creating the group was fantastic, impeccable.

The initial prototypes, the brainstorming,

the development, and the joint work, everything's going great.

I'm quite surprised at how smart our rotations were.

We have to consider that this Jam has an electric limitation.

It's interesting to see how programmers, artists, animators

musicians, all rotate to keep the batteries charged.

We're developing a runner.

It has a pretty cute premise.

A kid is travelling by train, watching the landscape outside.

He's pretending to jump up and down with his fingers

on the houses he can see outside.

We make the train go faster and slower.

All while he "jumps" with his fingers

as if he were the character.

Developing a videogame inside a train must be amazing.

People's abilities surprise me.

People from Buenos Aires being able to do this...

I like it. It's a great idea.

We've been working with a recurring theme.

It's a sound. An audio track.

Recreating the sound will be difficult.

-Come one, recreate it. -Well, it's something like…

Something like that, a little odd.

Excellent.

It's 7:22.

People are still working.

We slept here, our microphone against the window.

Some guys have been playing Magos y Tabernas,

a board game, for two hours and a half.

They're not working, so we'll goof around with them.

This is easily the longest game of Magos y Tabernas ever.

We started at 5 am.

Are you playing properly?

Good question.

So, what about the game you're making?

We have to go, dude!

I was going to win.

They screwed me so I couldn't do my thing.

Have you been watching the whole time?

No. I come here, get angry, leave for a while, come back.

I came to fetch them to continue working on the game, but...

-That's your team for...? -That's my team.

They won't let them go.

We are at Villa María.

We will reach Córdoba in approximately four hours.

We barely slept.

Some teams have finished their games.

So they went to sleep.

We'll show you all the games the teams are making.

We'll be testing games. Some are already playable.

Here is Facu Mounes, President of FUNDAV,

the main organizers of the Train Jam.

-How are you? -Fine, a little tired by now.

But I'm cheerful because we've finished a game.

Why did you decide to participate?

I help to organize the Global Game Jam.

Though it is a difficult task to organize this event,

I have time to make a little game.

It's a great way to relax

if you have spent many years working on a single game.

It's exciting to be able to do something different for once.

I make the most of all these people.

I wouldn't want to miss the art, the music, parts of what make

great games, just like the ones here.

Here's Seba Gioseffi, programmer of Okhlos,

an Argentinian game launched on Steam in August 2016.

It's hard to believe that his first Jam is on a train.

How was the experience?

It's something completely different.

I have a newfound respect for Jam game developers.

Anyone can make a good game in four years.

It's not so easy to make one on a train in 18 hours.

The game isn't finished, my team is working on it.

I stayed up late because we were designing dilemmas for the game.

Our game is more of an exercise than some run-of-the-mill game.

We are looking at another game that's almost finished.

It's like a Noah's Train. Is that right?

Yes, it's Noah's Train.

Noah rides his train and rescues the animals.

Meanwhile, he is being chased by a giant wave.

He has to keep accelerating not to be caught in the wave.

And he has to pay attention to the animals that appear.

I was thinking about a cliché from the movies.

A woman that runs behind the train

that takes away his lover, who, of course, is leaving forever.

At first, I thought of changing the character into a dog.

Then, I decided to make it more dramatic.

I turned it into a scene from a movie.

The more dramatic you are, the more the game rewards you.

The programmer must be adding the graphics.

And I was taking a nice nap.

That's how bosses work.

Their minions work while they sleep.

And that's very good.

What are your thoughts on this twenty-hour trip?

I'm very surprised that they could finish so many games.

This Train Jam was inspired by the one in the USA.

That Jam is 52 hours long.

And that is a much more generous period of time to make a game.

Especially if you are used to the 48 hour Global Game Jam.

These games made in 18 hours show the skill of the teams.

Could you tell me the guidelines for the project?

-It's a sound that... -What's it like?

Like that.

-I don't know. -Great.

Great.

A round of applause for Blas.

Care to say a few words?

I thank you, FUNDAV, every organization that supported us,

Image Campus, everyone that could lend a hand,

Trenes Argentinos.

And I thank you for coming all the way to Córdoba.

I thank everyone for participating.

This is the first of many to come.

The first Argentina Train Jam has ended.

It was organized by FUNDAV, Trenes Argentinos, Image Campus.

It was awesome. We had a great time and slept little.

Many games were made.

We are going to the EVA.

The teams will show their games and prototypes.

We will be there with them.

But that's all for the first Argentina Train Jam.

We hope it is the first of many.

Thank you for joining us, we love you. See you next time.

2017 Volkswagen Tiguan - Body Rigidity test - Duration: 4:26.

Hello! Today we have on test the Volkswagen Tiguan 2017. We will evaluate its rigidity.

Now it stands on a flat surface.

Let's check how the driver's door opens. All is well, everything is in order.

We measure the gap with a caliper (stangenzirkel). The result is 4.13 mm.

The rear left door also opens well. The result is 3.89 mm.

Now check the back door. It has an electric drive.

The back door opens very gently and smoothly without complaints.

The gap on the left side is 3.18 mm, on the right side is 3.20 mm. They are almost the same.

Now we will hang the car diagonally and see how the doors will open and the gaps will change.

Here in this position we fix the Volkswagen Tiguan. Its the rear left wheel hangs, the body of the car tests loading.

Let's check the doors.

Firs the driver's door. It opens normally, the gap is 4.47 mm.

The rear left door, too, has not received any visible changes. The gap is 3.81 mm.

And now we'll check the back door.

It is evident that the cover has moved slightly to the right.

Note that the car has a panoramic roof.

We open back door.

It opens normally but cannot close. We need to make an effort with hand to close it.

Suppose that without a panoramic roof everything would be closed.

The gap on left side is 4.11 mm.

And on the right side is 2.64 mm.

Here is the body rigidity of the Volkswagen Tiguan 2017.

Thank you all for viewing. See you in the new videos!

Democrat Mayor Openly Defies Trump, Vows To Go To Jail To Protect Sanctuary City Policy. - Duration: 1:34.

Democrat Mayor Openly Defies Trump, Vows To Go To Jail To Protect Sanctuary City Policy.

Oakland, California's Democrat mayor wants to go to jail.

Why?

Because she wants to keep illegals in her city.

This is revolting!

Here's the scoop…

From CBS SF Bay Area via Weasel Zippers:

Just hours after the Oakland City Council voted unanimously to end any cooperation with

agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Mayor Libby Schaaf said Wednesday she would

go to jail if needed in her opposition to ICE raids.

"It is no surprise that the bully in chief is continuing to try to intimidate our most

vulnerable residents," said Schaaf, referring to President Donald Trump.

"We're very clear that our values are to protect all of our residents regardless

of where we come from.

We want to protect families, not tear them apart."

Schaaf's remarks came on a day when rumors were swirling that ICE planned to launch a

series of Bay Area raids — arresting as many as 1,500 illegal aliens — because California

has become a Sanctuary State and several communities have adopted Sanctuary City policies.

Independent Journal Review has more:

Her city council is in agreement — the vote to discontinue all cooperation with ICE was

unanimous.

LOCK HER UP!

Suppose that without a panoramic roof everything would be closed.

WHAT? McCain Throws Republicans Under the Bus, Blames Own Party for Gov't Shutdown. - Duration: 1:56.

WHAT?

McCain Throws Republicans Under the Bus, Blames Own Party for Gov't Shutdown

Arizona Sen. John McCain not only blames Democrats for the government shutdown, but he also blames

his own party?

He just threw the GOP under the bus!

Is he joking?

He knows Dems shut down the government because they want amnesty, right?

Check this out…

From Downtrend:

McCain wrote a rip-roaring defense of the fake news peddlers for the Washington Post

last week and for an encore, he has released an official statement throwing his fellow

Republicans under the bus for the #SchumerShutdown.

One would think that with a limited time left on Earth that a normal person would want to

spend it with his family and in quiet reflection as well as getting himself right with the

Lord.

Washington Examiner has more:

"As Republicans and Democrats run to cable news to point fingers and assign blame, the

hard reality is that all of us share responsibility for this failure," McCain said just hours

after lawmakers in the Senate failed to pass a short-term spending bill.

"For years, under both a Republican and Democrat-controlled Congress and White House,

partisanship has taken precedent over national security.

Political gamesmanship, an unwillingness to compromise, and a lack of resolve on both

sides have led us to this point.

Shamefully, no one will incur more harm than our brave men and women who have volunteered

to fight and die for our freedom."

McCain was absent from Capitol Hill as the clock struck midnight and the partial government

shutdown began.

He is still in Arizona, recuperating after a hospitalization as a result of brain cancer

treatments.

Go home, McCain.

You're drunk!

What do you think about this?

I Got A New Bike!!! - Duration: 10:58.

hey everybody it has happened welcome to the newest member of the nomadic fnatic

team here on the roads say hello to my 2014 Yamaha TW 200 dual sport bike ain't

she Purdy blue everybody I got a blue bike so the other day my buddy took me

over to Phoenix looked at a couple of these one guy was selling three of them

obviously I fell in love with the blue it had just 500 miles on this 2014 bike

and now as you can see it's got 819 but 150 of those miles were put on just to

drive this thing all the way back to court sight that's right I drove it on

the highway all the way back these bikes are actually super popular it's a 200 cc

engine i topped out at 80 mile an hour on i-10 it's a dual sport which means

horn headlights turn signals everything you need to be street-legal licensed and

everything this is a California bike so I still got five months left on the tabs

here and here is the canister for the California that's the only thing that

might look a little different if you're a normal T dub fan the canister purge

for emissions or whatever you know but uh yeah it's carbureted and before I

bought it we took out the carb cleaned the carb put a new battery in it as well

it's 5-speed transmission so no more automatic that's fun choke right there

it is a cold blooded machine so I pretty much got to choke it every time I start

it really good bike though I am so excited and happy I got a lot of stuff I

want to do over the next few months modification wise what I lost from the

scooter was the storage under the seat well there's not much storage at all but

for the time being I'm just gonna take the backpack with all my gear and I

still got my red helmet I want to get a blue one later it really has that

dirtbike feel we got 18 inch tires on the front and then a big fat 14 inch

tire on the back currently coming with stock 5050

tires so 50% off-road 50% on-road you can change those up and do 70 30s

depending on what you're gonna ride right now I'm gonna I'm gonna wear these

down because they still don't they still got the nubs on them so we'll wear these

down and then I'll reevaluate and see if I want to change the tires but I have a

pretty good feeling that 50/50 is pretty much gonna be exactly what I'm using it

for driving around town to film and then every once in a while you know take a

nice little dirt trail and go on a little adventure yeah you know I really

preached that Honda PCX scooter for the longest time that was 298 pounds on the

back of the RV and it was a really practical fun part of my life to be able

to get me away from the RV when it's comfortable and explore more and share

more with you guys and after well there's two things after evaluating and

saying that I kind of miss going on trails mixed that with the fact that

Jason and Candace from camping with the Kelly's let me ride there TW that they

tour around with and I could not wipe the stupid smile off my face at RTR I

was having so much fun and a good way to think about it is I can only carry one

bike on the back okay so if you think about it I could maybe put a dirt bike

back there or I could put a road bike back there luckily there exists this

awesome machine called the dual sport which does both and and although I knew

about it I just never thought I'd never realized that it was going to be so much

fun to have this in my life instead and of course time will tell it is a 200 cc

and like I said I got it up to eighty but I think 60 mile an hour is really

its comfort zone because it was really revving up there but for trails and

stuff like this I don't need anything bigger than it than a 200 for me

it's got a really low seat compared to like the Honda CRF that has I think a 35

inch seat this has a 31 inch seat and it's a little bit adjustable as well

obviously most important is blue right and something to consider was the actual

price itself so I ended up selling the scooter for my

asking price of 1,500 put in another 1,500 to get this so I invested my

initial choice didn't lose any value in the scooter and just upgraded to

something like this and would you believe that this is actually lighter

than the scooter it really is because it's it's kind of bare-bones you know it

doesn't have all that extra plastic and stuff and so this way is 272 pounds I

think so about 20 or 25 pounds lighter than the actual scooter on the back of

the RV as far as transport that's still a work in progress I did buy that ramp

over at the swap meet in quartzite and I also did buy another motorcycle carrier

in Phoenix I'll show you that later as far as tabs and licensing it's still

like I said it's still good in California so I'm working on getting I

have ten days or nine days left to transfer the bill of sale over to

Washington State and if any problems arise I may have to go back up to

Washington earlier but I'm hoping that it can all be done remotely and but

we'll see I'm really happy with it I'm happy to be part of the TWU family here

it's a fun looking bike and it is so much fun to ride guys so let me start it

up show you what it sounds like and then we'll go for a ride

she's warm now

the most important part is how we going to travel with this bike let me show you

the idea here this is the carrier I got used on Craigslist a much different

design it's actually got an 8 inch wide track here no more grooves just a smooth

track it's steel it has the wheel chock here so that the front wheel can sit in

this basin and it'll help protect it from going this way or going off the

edge this will fold down once the weights there on the wheel and basically

keep the front wheel locked there and it has this huge ramp which is connected by

wing nuts here so it stores here and then I'll show you right here to that

little lip right there you could put a pin in there once you get it locked in

but essentially that will drop into this part of the ramp right here and I'm

hoping I'm hoping I'm hoping that this new ramp that comes with this one will

actually be long enough plus I have a lot of high clearance on

the bike I'm going to attempt to get a running start and just roll it right on

up onto the carrier and we'll see how it goes because what I don't have now it

well I with the scooter I could have one hand on the throttle and one hand on the

rear brake on the other side and I can kind of feather up the ramp with this

you know being manual transmission I could select first gear it's just gonna

be a pain in the butt because my throttle hand is where the brakes at and

I won't be able to have control of the brake so I think it's best just to try

to manually push it up the ramp and I'll set the camera and see how this goes and

what I learned

all right and there's the finished product no lights blocked I've got it

all secured on all four sides you will notice a little bit of wobble on this

that is because I still don't have an anti wobbler in the hitch I have a pin

in there but I don't have an anti wobbler in there yes so there is gonna

be a little bit of movement here for a little bit until I get it but I did

order it it's coming and for now this is definitely going to work how's that look

you

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I was trying to figure out what kind of video to make today.

I've got a bunch of questions on my Trello board.

I had a bunch of video ideas.

I just didn't feel like doing any of those videos.

I think part of the reason why is just because I'm not being 100% honest with where I'm at

right now.

When I'm not doing that, I'm not being genuine.

It's hard for me to genuine in anything that I'm doing, so this is sort of one of those

honesty videos where I'm going to kind of talk about some hard shit.

I want to talk about a topic that I think would probably benefit a lot of you because

we all tend to have this tendency, which is self-destruction.

You might think someone like me doesn't have a self-destructive tendency, but I guarantee

you that we all do at times.

We all try to destroy ourselves and destroy what we created and I don't know.

I don't know why we do this, but I recently got back from travel and started to get back

into my routine and everything, and I was having a really hard time doing it.

I'm still having a really hard time doing it.

I'm just not feeling very motivated and I'm noticing that—I kind of notice myself doing

things that were destructive, like trying to destroy the relationships that I have,

trying to destroy my fitness and my health that I've worked so hard to build.

Even to some degree, today and for last week, it was sort of like, "Ah, I don't really

feel like doing YouTube videos anymore and maybe I shouldn't do YouTube videos anymore.

I don't have anything good to say," right?

I was just feeling that way.

I was looking at some of my old videos.

I'm like, "Oh, man.

I used to give it.

I used to give the fire, but now it's like, "What am I doing?"

Sometimes I'm just sitting there stuttering in front of the camera and just trying to

make up some shit.

That's how I honestly felt.

I've talked about this before, but this is one of the struggles of being creator.

Even in the business, I was thinking.

"Oh, do I really want to do Simple Programmer?

Do I want to walk away from this?"

You know, I go through these phases at times, but I found myself like really trying to destroy

myself and I wonder why, like why would I do that, what would possess me to do that,

and I don't have a really good answer.

I don't have a really—to be honest with you, it's just something that I think we face

in life.

I'll tell you though.

For the most part, I have survived these.

It's not like it doesn't get hard sometimes.

I mean I got to go, especially—you know, I make it hard on myself.

I mean my life is definitely hard by my own creation.

I've got—I run 40 miles a week and lift and eat one meal a day, and I work pretty

damn hard on my stuff and do all these YouTube videos.

There's definitely a lot that's going on.

I have high expectations of myself.

There's definitely that.

There's definitely a lot pressure, but I definitely don't want to sabotage myself and destroy

myself and destroy the things that I've built.

Like I said, I have survived these before.

I thought it would be interesting to talk about how I'm surviving it now, how I've survived

it before and how you can survive it before because—or how you can survive in the future,

because I know that a lot of you probably haven't survived it, like you have gotten

to that point—I mean have you ever gotten to a point in life where things were going

good and you were really successful or more successful than you've been and then you,

for some reason, sabotage yourself, self-destructive behavior.

You do something.

Your diet is going well and you just go and eat like a pig.

Relationships going well, you sabotage that relationship.

Whatever it is, somehow you destroy.

You're going to get really good grades in school.

You decide to somehow destroy that as well or drop out of school.

Whatever it is or starting a business, or starting a project or whatever it is that

you decide that you destroy it.

Why and how do you stop that?

For me, the biggest thing is to recognize that I'm doing some self-destructive behavior.

Now, that alone doesn't change my attitude towards it.

I'm still like "Fuck it, I still want to destroy this," but at least when I'm recognizing it

then I can realize that I'm not acting in my rational mind, how I normally would think

and act.

That's the key because once I know that—because now—see, I can feel one way, but I can at

a metacognitive level think about it from the abstract and think in a different way.

Right now, I don't feel like doing this video.

I'll be totally honest with you.

I don't feel like being here.

I don't want to go for my fucking run.

I just want to eat some cake.

I don't want to like do a diet thing and do my kickboxing.

I don't care if I get fat.

All of these things, they're running through my head.

I don't care.

I just want to like play some video games and relax, and whatever and take a nap.

That's how I feel right now.

I feel like I'm stupid blabbering in front of the camera all of these things, but my

mind knows that this is not real, that this is kind of some bullshit that you're coming

up with, John.

For whatever reason it is, you're doing it because I can look at my past self and the

things that I've done in life and the achievements I've made and I can see that that's not the

normal pattern.

That's the normal John.

John is in self-destructive mode right.

John needs to kind of be baby-sat by the mind.

You see what I'm saying?

Like the emotional John needs to take a back seat.

"Okay, it's cool.

I understand that you feel this way.

It's cool.

But guess what?

You're going to fucking run, anyway.

Okay, yeah.

That's fucking and you've just got to do it.

You're going to fucking go to the gym.

You're going to eat your diet plan and whether you like it or not.

You need to do the work you need to do.

You might not have the enthusiasm that you'd like to have or that I 'd like you to have,

but that's fine.

You're still going to do it.

When that enthusiasm comes back, that will be great."

See, the thing is, you know, I've talked about this in various forms.

I did this video on holding the line.

You could equate this to the same thing.

I mean you could say that this is holding the line.

It essentially is.

What you're trying to do is you're just trying to—it's like—think of it this way.

It's like Bruce Banner turns into Hulk.

The thing is like the goal is when—when Hulk is out, don't let him destroy too much

shit in the laboratory.

You know what I mean?

Like how can we like keep him from—he's uncontrollable, like don't try and change

the Hulk, but let's try and like—like can we chain him up?

Can we put him in a box?

Can we like pad the room?

Can we prevent him from doing damage when he is the Hulk because we don't know when

he's going to transform back?

We can't necessarily control that transformation.

The same thing happens with us.

I can't necessarily control this to some degree.

Some days you're going to feel depressed.

You're going to feel like shit.

You're going to feel self-destructive and sometimes it's just going to go on for some

period of time.

Yeah, you can take some medication and say that you don't need to be on pills.

That's not a really good solution either.

You don't know when this is going to happen.

What you can do is you contain yourself when you're in that state.

I'm not going to be in this state forever.

I know it.

I know that someday when I wake up out of this coma, when I'm not the Hulk anymore and

I'm Bruce Banner again, that I'm going to have to deal with the consequences that Hulk

created.

This is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Same type of thing.

I think that story is actually a story about what I'm talking about.

I think Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is sort of about what exists in all of us.

The thing is you have to remember and I have to remind myself that, "Hey, I'm going to

wake up.

I'm going to be Bruce Banner.

When I am and I'm no longer the Hulk, I am going to either—I'm going to have one of

two reactions.

One, I'm going to be relieved that the Hulk didn't smash everything, or, two, I'm going

to be like, 'Fuck.

Now, I got to clean up all these pieces.

Man, why did I do this again?

Oh, gosh?

Why couldn't I just like—ugh.

Why couldn't I just like leave the shit intact?

Why didn't I have to go and destroy this shit?

Now, I got to start over.

Man, I'm never getting anywhere in my life because I'm always starting over and always

cleaning up after the Hulk."

You see what I'm saying?

I think I'll—if you're honest with yourself, a lot of you, maybe that's you.

Maybe that's you, is you're always—everytime you transform into the Hulk or Mr. Hyde, you

destroy all the shit you created as Bruce Banner.

You got to realize this and you got to stop doing this.

You got to start saying like, "The only way to do to stop this from happening is to do

damage control when you're the Hulk."

You can't prevent yourself from being the Hulk.

That's a ridiculous strategy because you know that that transformation is going to happen

at some period of time.

You're going to have ups and downs in life.

What you can absolutely do is you can develop the discipline.

This is where the rubber meets the road, guys.

This is really the fucking bulldog mindset.

Let's queue up the bulldog video, but this is where it really counts.

Again, it's not that you're on your fucking A game all the time.

Some days I'm on top of the world.

I am on my A game.

Now, usually, I can tell you one other thing here.

I'll side note this, which is the times when I am on my A game is when I have created a

momentum, a track record of success behind me.

Success begets success.

If you think about it, the way to get into that good state, that enthusiastic state,

that is going to be the kick-ass state, is when you're in the shit state like fucking

do what you're supposed to do anyway to make progress to the point where you can stand

on top of the mountain.

You can be like, "Yeah."

Right?

That's what's most like that they kick you out of that state and kick you into the good

state.

Ultimately, it comes down to having that discipline, having that mindset to say, "Look, no matter

what, I am not going to destroy everything I created just because I feel like shit right

now for the day, because I feel like shit for the week.

Whatever is causing me to create this self-destructive behavior, pattern or thought pattern, I'm

going to try and snap out of it.

That's great, but I'm going to make sure that the damage is controlled until I do.

If I don't, if I don't snap out of it, then okay.

Fine.

I'm at least holding this off for a week.

I'm at least holding for a week."

That's the motto.

That's the mantra that I tell myself.

I don't always perfectly do it.

I usually don't make a huge amount of forward progress when I'm in one of these self-destructive

states.

If I can just prevent myself from punching too many holes on the wall, that's a plus.

That's less walls that I have to plaster when I wake up from the coma.

You guys know what I'm saying?

Does that make sense?

Okay.

Again, I'm putting this out here for you guys because one is honest.

I kind of hate to make these videos because I'm like, "Whoa.

Is John going to make a video saying that he's having crisis every single couple of

weeks or months, or something?"

I guess so because that's how life is.

You go up and down and you have these dips and stuff.

I'm making these videos because I want you guys to realize that this is the condition.

This is a human condition.

This is not something medically wrong with you.

This is not something that is bad about you because I go through this shit.

You see it.

You see it on these videos and then you see it in—I just have to trust.

I have to trust the process.

I have to trust that I'm going to come out of this and I have to trust myself and the

discipline that I've built that it's worth it.

It's worth putting forth that effort when you don't feel like it to prevent yourself

from punching those holes on the wall.

All right.

That's all I got for you today.

I've sort of beat this horse to death, but I hope you found this useful.

RUSSIAN MOM REACTS TO FRENCH RAP | RK - #B5 I Daymolition | REACTION - Duration: 5:04.

Hello guys, you've been asking for our reaction to RK

And he just released a new video

Hello!

Bomb

Speak louder!

He has a cool haircut!

That guy? That's RK

He brushed his hair back

This is melodic, his previous songs were hard

The enviroment doesn't look good...

It's their block mom -On the block?

They're gonna commit a crime

That guy is relaxed, smoking a cigarrete

They are robbing him

The bag looks light

I really like the song

The guy is upset now

Melodic song

He's been rapping for just 2 years I think

He's been supported by famous artists

What's in the bag?

That bag didn't look heavy before

I thought there was weed in there

See, there is weed! -Hashish, bricks

What is he doing?

He doesn't want to share with him, what's wrong with that guy?

What about their friendship?

He tells him to get up

This a real betrayal

That's an Algerian flag

He's from Algeria? I see

I think he's Afro-Algerian

He left him with nothing

100 Euros

150 Euros or what?

Great friend

OMG!

To be continued?

He will retaliate, yeah?

Maybe... this is called #B5, I don't know what #B means

He has B3, B1, B2... I haven't seen B4 though

This is the 5th part. The 3rd one was dope

So it has a continuation

The song is very melodic, I want to add it to my playlist now

Did you like it? -Yeah, nice

He has a cool haircut as well

I wish the environment was nicer

It's typical French neighborhood

Maybe he's not rich yet, he doesn't have a fur coat

Or maybe he's talking about his past

About that that betrayal

Everybody wants to become a rapper so they could leave that bad life

I understand... the song is nice, melodic

But the story is crazy... his friend betrayed him

I hope he will have revenge

We're waiting for the next part

We want him to get revenge, because it wasn't fair

Good job RK! Salute RK, salute France

Subscribe to our channel, like this video, leave your comments

See you in the next video

Teach Me How to Say "I Love You" in YOUR Language [PierreG ASMR] - Duration: 3:40.

Can you tell me how to say "I love you" in your language.

Hi everyone.

Today, I would like to ask you to help me making my next video.

Maybe you have watched my video where I say thank you in 50 languages.

So, for the next video, I would like to say "I love you" in your languages.

I've tried to find some videos or some audios to help me but

for some languages, it's very difficult.

For Mongolian or for Kazakh.

Well, for Kazakh, I have actually found a song.

If you could make an audio file where you pronounce "I love you" in your language

one time at normal speed and

one more time slowly.

So, if I do it for French, for example:

Je t'aime

Je t'aime.

If you could do it like that, it would be great.

So, if you could send me an email to this address:

love@pierregasmr.com

Yeah, the French pronunciation,

You can put the name of your language in the title of your email.

And then, if you can write how to say "I love you" in your language (in the email)

and if you can send me an audio file with it,

it would be really helpful.

You would be really helpful.

If you, a native speaker, can teach me how to say "I love you", I'll do my best,

I'll practice a lot to make an ASMR video saying "I love you" in

I don't know how many languages.

Just send me your language and it will be in it.

So, thank you in advance.

This is not an ASMR video but...

Sometimes, I cannot do everything by myself and I need some help from other people.

Hopefully, you'll find 5 minutes to help me :)

Oh, wait!

One last thing.

Please also send me your name or nickname so that I can add it in the video

just to thank you.

Don't forget to add your name or your nickname.

OK, then, thanks a lot in advance and see you in the next video!

Bye!

IDIOM : BIG TIME - Duration: 3:28.

hi welcome back to my channel I'm Lisa and today I wanted to share with you a

little phrase that will help you improve your English and understand native

speakers more. it's big time .let's look at examples .I haven't seen you in so

long we have to catch up big time. you look good have you been working out?

oh hell yeah big time! four times a week actually Adam Driver used to be a not

very popular actor but after Star Wars he became a big time star. so we use big

time to express enthusiasm, to say that something is a lot, something is much

more than usual something is big. in first two examples I used it in like a

separate way, at the end of the phrase or as an answer to say hell yeah, a lot ,yeah

I have been working out a lot .instead of saying like a sentence, we can just say

yeah, big time, we have to catch up, big time .we have to catch up a lot we have I

have so many things to tell you so this small phrase gives the idea that there

is a lot of something and yeah hell yeah I think hell yeah it's like a good synonym

but it's you know it's a bit too much so better use big time

and the second way to use it would be as an adjective like a big time movie star

big time chef to signify the success, signifies the scale of a person or a

thing to show how great it is and yeah that it may not mean a lot to you but

for some people this thing or a person means a lot also generally we use it in

like a positive way right like we have to catch at the same time

I have been working out big-time like big-time actor but also we can use it in

a negative situation like for example oh man you fucked up big-time

yeah it's just it doesn't have to be good it just signifies the scale of a

situation again yeah something that is significant something that is like big

deal . so that's it for today I hope it was helpful or interesting. let

me know in the comments down below thank you very much for watching and I will

see you in my next video bye! oh my god I have been so sick I planned to you know

oh my god I have been so sick I planned to ,you know

start the January with videos like every week you know but yeah I got sick and

then I got sick again I got into a hospital yeah so you know plans can

change yeah I think that's like the first lesson this year taught me that

whatever you plan and however sure you are about your plans yeah It can change

in one second yeah so I tried to figure out what I can do about it yeah but I'm

back I feel great I'm excited and yeah if you like filling fill them anything

I'm doing great

The lookout has two fundamental tasks:

to find whales and to lead the boats to them.

A difficult exercise of orientation and navigation,

even with radios and mobiles,

because in the sea there are no streets nor avenues, and only well-trained eyes

can calculate the distance and the course taken by the cetaceans.

In the old days, the lookout was of paramount importance in the whaling business.

Without him, the whalers were no more than blind men navigating in small canoes.

Before there were radios on the lookout posts and on the whale motorboats,

communication was made with visual and smoke signals.

The lookout posts were painted white to be easily identified from the sea,

and the lookout would spread a white canvas

indicating the direction whaleboats were to take.

Now it's going to start...

Good morning, one more day without seeing whales.

North, it's north.

No, it does, it does. It gives me a good break, because it has been a lot of work,

The afternoon is to sleep on the floor.

I got a camping mattress here.

Sleep, rest. Well, I'm not coming here,

what am I going to do? look at the mermaids at sea?

Some of the original lookout posts from the whaling days,

are still used today to aid the whale watching bussines.

The work of the lookout continues to be of great importance.

Should You Buy a Ethanol Car (E85 vs Gasoline and How It Works) - with Scotty Kilmer - Duration: 4:14.

one, two, three, four!
