Youtube daily report w Jan 23 2018

[ INTRO ]

It's maybe the most first world problem of first world problems: pit stains

on white clothing.

Maybe you've been there.

Wear any white shirt for long enough and suddenly it's discoloring in embarrassing and irritating

ways.

The thing is, your sweat isn't actually yellow.

It's colorless — that is, until it reacts with the compounds in antiperspirant.

You have two main types of sweat glands, but the culprits here are the apocrine glands.

These don't kick in until puberty and are found basically anywhere there's a lot of

hair — so your scalp, underarms … other places …

They produce sweat that's slightly thicker, and secreted onto your skin via hair follicles.

To make matters worse, this sweat isn't just produced during hot weather, it's also

triggered by periods of anxiety or heightened emotion.

Great.

But to make it thicker, the sweat produced by these glands also contains fats and proteins.

And it's these fats and proteins that are the big issue — along with the bacteria

that feast on them.

We've talked about the connection between bacteria and the odor in farts, and the smell

in your armpits is produced in much the same way.

Sweat itself is odorless — it's the bacteria and the gases they release that make everything

smell so wonderful and prompted cosmetics companies to create antiperspirants.

These products generally contain some version of a compound called aluminum chloride, which

works by acting as a sort of gel-like plug for your apocrine sweat glands, so you don't

produce as much sweat.

But at the same time, the aluminum reacts with your sweat to produce compounds that

react with the fabric in your clothing and mess with the color, and voila - yellow stains.

No one seems to agree about why exactly it turns yellow, but there's some thought that

the reaction with the aluminium causes the proteins in apocrine sweat to really stick

to your clothes.

Either way, it's actually the thing making you sweat less that causes the stains.

Which doesn't seem super helpful.

Fortunately, there are a few things you can do to keep your clothes white.

You could try using a deodorant that doesn't contain aluminum, or else let it dry completely

before putting on your shirt.

You could also look for a type of detergent that's boosted with the power of enzymes.

These are designed to react with, and break down proteins so you can get tricky stains,

like yellow pit stains, out of your clothes.

Like a lot of cleaning hacks, it's all about knowing the chemistry.

Thanks to patreon patron Garrett Van Dyk for asking this question, and thanks to all our

and it helps us out. You'll get a new episode of SciShow and learn about how weird and wonderful the world is

including your arm piiiiiiiiiits

BREAKING News!! Secret Service Agent Just Went ALL IN!! Obama is DONE!!! - Duration: 27:45.

BREAKING News!!

Secret Service Agent Just Went ALL IN!!

Obama is DONE!!!

After the FISA memo news was released, a former secret agent named Dan Bongino adds to the

accusations of corruption against Barack Hussein Obama.

The former Secret Service Agent and Conservative Radio Talk Show Host, Dan Bongino, who served

in the White House from 2006-2011 under both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Hussein

Obama, believes this could be the evidence that will finally change the public's view

of Obama and show the world how corrupt this evil man really is.

Bongino also has predicted that to distract from what was actually in the memo, those

opposed to releasing it would likely attack Nunes personally.

We don't fully know what is contained in the actual memo, but we can predict with some

certainty that it has to have something to do with the manner in which the CIA and DOJ

spied on American citizens.

The rumors also suggest that it has something to do with the discredited work of the Clinton

Campaign who likely paid for Trump Dossier.

The info may reveal how it came about and who were the people behind its creation.

However, it's all speculation and rumors since no member of Congress can give us much

more information about the contents without getting into trouble for releasing top secret

information.

For now we're stuck with possibilities and have to piece the puzzle together on our own.

The Los Angeles Times reports:

Secret House Republican memo causes new rifts over Russia investigation

epa05931263 Republican Representative from California and embattled Chairman of the House

Intelligen House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Tulare)

worked on a confidential and controversial memo involving how the Department of Justice

pursued the Russia investigation.

(Jim Lo Scalzo / EPA) Chris Megerian Chris MegerianContact Reporter

Conservative Republicans are pushing to release a memo containing classified information about

the federal investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 campaign, sparking new controversy

in a case that has already caused deep partisan rifts.

The contents of the four-page memo, which was written by staff working with Rep. Devin

Nunes (R-Tulare), who chairs the House Intelligence Committee, have not been publicly revealed.

But President Trump's allies in Congress say that they are explosive.

"It's some of the most alarming things I've ever read, and every single American

citizen should be able to read that material as soon as possible," said Rep. Jim Jordan

(R-Ohio).

Democrats on the committee have dismissed the memo as a dishonest attempt to undermine

the Russia investigation, and Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Hillsborough) called it a "pack

of lies."

Republicans have repeatedly said the Russia investigation, currently led by special counsel

Robert S. Mueller III, has been undermined by partisan bias.

Mueller was appointed last May after Trump fired FBI Director James Comey.

Rep. Devin Nunes plays defense for Trump by going on hard offense against Justice Department

Freedom Caucus members asked House Speaker Paul Ryan to support releasing the memo during

Thursday night negotiations over the federal budget.

Ryan deferred the issue to the House Intelligence Committee, which made it available to every

member of Congress this week.

It was unclear Friday whether the GOP-led House committee would hold a vote that would

lay the groundwork for making the memo public.

Not everyone in Ryan's caucus wants it out.

Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas), who is leading the House Intelligence Committee's inquiry

into Russia's role in the 2016 election, said it would be "real dangerous" to release

the memo because it includes classified information.

The document is the result of Nunes probing how the Department of Justice handled the

Russia investigation.

Nunes has said his work has uncovered serious problems involving the use of secret surveillance

powers.

"I believe there's evidence that abuses have occurred," he told Fox News last month.

It wasn't immediately clear if the memo also looked at Republican claims that Mueller's

criminal investigation has been undermined by partisan bias.

The reaction to the memo was sharply split along party lines.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) said the information was "jaw-dropping."

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Vista) said Americans would be "outraged" if they read the memo.

Jay Sekulow, one of Trump's personal lawyers, said on his radio show Friday that it appears

the memo reveals corruption that's "breathtaking in scope."

Sekulow has previously called for the appointment of a second special counsel to investigate

the Department of Justice.

But Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Dublin), another committee member, said the memo was filled

with misinformation and should not be released.

"It is a perversion of the facts to brainwash our members and protect the president,"

he said.

Tragically this is what happens when the American voting populace is convinced into electing

a person with a highly questionable and mysterious past.

He sometimes went by different names!

Should someone be allowed to run for President if they had their college transcripts and

birth certificate sealed?

We may not ever know the truth about who he was or where he is from.

Maybe now everyone will learn of the dangers of electing a president because of his skin

color over the content of character.

Please share if you want to see the FISA memo released

in

its entirety!!

MUSIC x SONG | QUAL A DIFERENÇA E COMO USAR? - Duration: 8:16.

Hey what-up YouTube and Facebook!

It's Mairo Vergara here again

with one more video in English.

Today I'm going to do some actual teaching.

I'm going to teach you the difference

between the words "music" and "song."

By the way I bought myself a new pair of glasses.

Those look much cooler than the previous ones

because the old glasses that I was wearing,

they were like, ten years old;

they were pretty crappy.

So those new ones, they look pretty cool.

So -- going back to the video.

Today I'm going to teach you the difference

between the words "music" and "song"

and maybe you're thinking -- this is basic, Mairo,

I already know the difference between music and song.

But the thing is, at the end of the day, speaking English,

understanding and speaking the language

is about mastering the fundamentals -

that core amount of grammar rules and vocabulary.

You know that you don't have to learn grammar rules

for the sake of learning grammar rules.

It's a set of rules or a set of ways the language works,

and a set of vocabulary

and ways of pronouncing words,

and if you master that,

you're able to speak the language.

Sometimes it's nice to get back

to the basics of the language,

and study a little bit of the basics.

So the difference between "music" and "song"

[Music plays]

The problem with these words -- music and song

is that both words in Portuguese, as a Brazilian,

if you translate "music" or if you translate "song",

both words are translated as "Música."

You can translate "music" as "Música"

and song as "Canção."

The word "Canção" -- we don't use it so often.

So both are translated as "Música"

and that sometimes causes a little bit of confusion.

So let's start with music. [music plays]

And when you say "music",

make sure you do the "U"...

You've got to make the "u" sound

and the "Z" sound. So -- MUSIC.

[Music plays]

Music -- make sure you get the proper pronunciation.

You don't need to sound native-like,

because you're not a native,

but just do it -- "music" -

it will sound really nice. Music.

Now music -- it's not a song.

It's pretty obvious.

Music is the actual art of music. [music plays]

So you could say things like, you like music.

"I like music." Or "I study music." See?

It's the art of music itself,

so you like music or you study music.

You could use a sentence such as

"I want to have a career in music." [music plays]

"I want to have a career in music."

Meaning, you want to work with music

or something related.

"I want to have a career in music."

Or, I could ask you a question such as,

"Are you able to read music?"

Again, "are you able to read music?"

If I asked you if you are able to read music,

I'm referring specifically to written music. [video plays]

You know, you can also call it a "score."

It's a piece of written music.

You know those weird symbols? [flute music plays]

If you were able to read it,

you are able to read music.

So, music is the art of music itself.

"Song" on the other hand...

By the way, the pronunciation of "song" is a little bit tricky.

Don't say (sonG) -- don't make the "g" sound at the end.

So you do -- "song"

and you almost do the "g" sound,

so you say -- "song" -

but you don't release the sound.

So -- "song" -- and you stop.

Don't do like (sonG, sonG) -

no, "song" and you stop. "Song" and you stop.

OK? "Song."

Song -- it's a little difficult but the same goes for,

as I was explaining about the pronunciation of music,

you don't need to sound native-like;

it's more a matter of knowing the proper pronunciation

and then just doing your best.

So just try it -- song... song... -- no "g" -- "song" - OK?

And a song is just a piece of music.

It's not the art of music itself,

so the best example I can give you is if I ask you,

"What kind of music do you like?" -

So what kind of music?

I'm not talking about specific songs;

I'm talking about music as a whole.

"What kind of music do you like?"

And you say -- I don't know, I like Rihanna.

You say "I like Rihanna."

Then I could ask you

"And what's your favorite song from Rihanna?"

So it's not "What's your favorite music?"

You don't say, "What's your favorite music from Rihanna?"

No, that's incorrect.

"What's your favorite song?"

Because a song is just a piece of music.

And you could say, I don't know,

my favorite song from Rihanna is "Diamonds."

And actually this is my favorite song

from Rihanna-- Diamonds.

So a song is a piece of music.

I can give you some more sentences

I have here on my cell phone.

Let's check this out.

Let's sing a song together.

See? You say "Let's sing a song together."

You don't say "Let's sing a music together."

You like music, but you sing a song.

"Let's sing a song together."

Another one,

you can download a song from the Internet.

So you could say a sentence such as

"I downloaded a song from the Internet."

"I downloaded a song from the Internet."

Just put a sentence here.

I downloaded a song

so you don't download a music.

That's incorrect.

You say "I downloaded a song from the Internet."

OK. One more sentence.

Let's say you have a teacher

and your teacher taught you

how to sing a song in French.

You could say something along the lines of,

"My teacher taught me the words of a French song."

"My teacher taught me the words of a French song."

sentence here.

"My teacher taught me the words of a French song."

So your teacher actually taught you

how to sing a song in French,

the words of a French song,

or the words to a French song.

So that's the difference between

the words "music" and "song."

Make sure you understand the difference.

Make sure you don't say things such as

"I like that music."

No, you say "I like that song."

You like music.

Remember, Rihanna.

Remember Rihanna-- I like music from Rihanna,

and my favorite song from Rihanna is "Diamonds."

So that was the video for today, guys.

If you like the video, make sure you also

follow me on my website.

Como cuidar de fungos e como tratá-los. How to care for fungi and how to treat them. - Duration: 4:19.

Hello! All right?

My name is Luana Caldin. I am a Podiatrist and I am a SENAC graduate.

Let's go to our video today.

In this case is our famous Onicofose.

Our funguinhos in the fingers.

Making the thinning of this sheet.

Why this fungus left the blade very thick and deformed.

So she does, like some bumps on the nail.

It got pretty thick.

Making a thinning on this sheet.

Removing the maceration. Because?

The fungus will eat the nail and make a dough below the blade.

And this mass smells, even a little bit stronger.

Cleaning this maceration.

Of this excess of skin that is on the sides.

The excess of eponychium. You can see a lot of skin coming out.

It is a skin but glued and more sensitive.

Making the correction of the cut of the blades.

In the case of Ringworm when it is very detached, we cut this nail.

All off. Because?

The treatment becomes more effective.

It's no use letting the fingernail take off and the treatment will take much longer.

Why the fungus is settling in more and more.

Sometimes people say that treatment is not working. It's not that it's not working ...

The problems is going to be much longer the treatment.

It is easier to remove this nail that is detached. Cut off all the detached part to make a treatment.

It will be more effective and the nail will grow healthier.

And our Parakeet. Making a special turnout.

The two nails. They have mycosis and have been traumatized by footwear.

Cleaning this maceration.

How to care for fungi and how to treat them?

Dealing with experts in the field.

Podologists or Dermatologists.

That they will follow up on this treatment.

The treatment is daily ie ...

Once a month, you go to the specialist.

Every day you have to do footwear booting and nail drying.

Sprinkle a little bit of alcohol on the nail.

Alcohol will help in the evaporation of moisture.

And dry these nails well, okay?

And do the hygiene of the shoes.

I use the shoes, do the hygiene and put it to dry and take a sun.

And always doing this hygiene. And the feet too.

We usually take care of the hair, the skin, it passes cream on the body and when it arrives in the foot tired ...

So we have to take better care of our feet, too.

So the Treatment is this.

With Specialists. And this was another video and I hope you guys next.

Goodbye.

Manuela Di Centa: An Italian Ski-Legend claims 5 medals in Lillehammer | Legends Live on - Duration: 10:19.

What Manuela achieved at Lillehammer

was incredible and perhaps unrepeatable.

I wouldn't have achieved it if I had not believed

since I was a child,

that girls like me who love cross-country skiing,

could achieve great things in sport.

Following Lillehammer,

Manuela has left a historic and indelible mark

as an athlete and as a person closely connected to sport.

Manuela Di Centa is for our nation

and for the world of sport, a legend.

(LEGENDS LIVE ON MANUELA DI CENTA)

My first skis were amazing! I was four years old.

My dad made them.

Since we were little Dad used to make us ski.

It was like drinking water. It was very natural.

As a family, when it snows we go skiing.

The love of skiing grew within us. It is part of us.

Her games were running, doing races,

climbing trees

and doing gymnastics.

She never used to play with dolls.

Manuela was a kid who believed in what she did.

She also participated in running races,

not just skiing competitions.

She has always been strong.

She always helped me to chop the firewood

rather than her older brother, Andrea.

The first competitors have started.

I watched the Innsbruck Olympics

where I saw the Russians skiing and I said,

"Dad, watch the Russians."

They were going round the bends like a snowplough.

"I want to go faster than them

"because I don't want to snowplough."

(OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES SARAJEVO 1984)

My first Olympics, Sarajevo 1984.

It was a great experience,

that's where for the first time

I saw and met great athletes.

I remember in particular Marja-Liisa Kirvesniemi.

She won the race in Sarajevo

and she overtook me

and while she went past I said to myself,

there will come a day when I will pass you.

(OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES CALGARY 1988)

Calgary 1988.

I was much better prepared this time

but bad luck comes at the worst time

and just before the Olympics I caught bronchitis.

So my hopes of being able to compete at my best

crumbled little by little, but

I was able to compete in the last race, the 20km freestyle,

and I came sixth.

Coming sixth in an Olympics with zero technical preparation

led me to think I'm on the right track.

(OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES ALBERTVILLE 1992)

I turned up to the Olympics with a big problem,

Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, which I've always had.

However, my sense of responsibility to my team-mates

in the relay

made me want to go.

(OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES LILLEHAMMER 1994)

In Lillehammer 1994, I said to myself

"Now I'm fit, let's try and do things right."

It wasn't easy to concentrate for all the races,

in fact this period was very intense for me

but my previous experiences taught me a lot.

I studied every bend of that track.

I remember in particular my trainer telling me

in the last kilometre

that's when I had more than a minute advantage

over second place,

he told me, "Now you can enjoy the victory."

However, I told myself, until I pass the finishing line

I can't enjoy the victory.

Only when I saw "Manuela Di Centa, Italy, gold medal,"

did I say, "I've made it."

The 30km was the last race on the programme.

I wanted to express myself in this race in particular

because it used the classical technique

pioneered by Nordic skiers.

To finish five races without making any mistakes

is an incredible feat,

bringing home five medals of which two were gold

is nothing short of amazing.

(OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES NAGANO 1998)

My last Olympics, Nagano, Japan 1998.

Despite the fact that I had won a bronze with my team-mates

this was the Olympics in which

I had planned to say my farewell.

Last medal, last Olympic Games

and the last competition of my sports career.

Everything started from a love of the mountains.

I started climbing with Fabio.

In 2003, we trained to take part in the 50th anniversary

of the first expedition to climb Everest.

She was the first Italian woman

to reach the top of the highest mountain in the world.

I was mostly worried about her safety.

(OLYMPIC GAMES TORINO 2006)

Turin 2006. The Olympics at home, which was a great thing.

These Olympics were very emotional for me

because my brother Giorgio

won two Olympic medals.

That evening my sister was chosen to present the medals.

I was speechless.

We hugged each other

after I presented my little brother the gold medal.

Good morning, children.

I gained a lot as an athlete.

I worked hard but gained a lot from sport.

I felt it was my duty to give something back,

having gained much experience.

My work with the Italian Parliament was intense.

I'm very proud of an idea which I championed

10 People Who Narrowly Escaped Death Row - Duration: 7:46.

• Who escaped a death sentence only to get it faster?

Who escaped from death row before even being put on it?

From prison escapes to legal rulings, here are 10 people who managed to escape death

row.

10 – Kristen Gilbert • Kristen Gilbert was a nurse who worked

at a veterans hospital when she decided to go on a murderous rampage.

• She injected four of her patients with a stimulant that killed them via heart failure,

and tried to do the same to three others.

• But Gilbert lived in Massachusetts, which doesn't observe the death penalty.

So how, exactly, did she end up anywhere close to death row?

• Well, the VA hospital is technically federal government property.

And since Gilbert committed her crimes in the hospital, it was tried in federal court.

• But despite the loophole that made Gilbert eligible for the death penalty, she ended

up with only life in prison.

9 – Le Van Tho and Nguyen Van Tinh • This escape from death row in Vietnam

didn't exactly happen in a courtroom.

• A pair of drug dealers were each in solitary confinement for their involvement in a heroin

smuggling ring.

• Murder, theft, bribery, and kidnapping were among the charges they had been convicted

of.

The two were awaiting execution, but were able to escape the facility.

• They drove away together on a Honda Dream motorbike, wearing masks and helmets to hide

their identities.

• Luckily, they were only on the run for about a week before they were re-captured.

8 – Nicholas Yarris • Nicholas Yarris spent 22 years on death

row in Pennsylvania.

For some, that may seem silly – if someone has been sentenced to death, why keep them

in prison for so long?

• Well, people like Yarris are why.

After being on death row for 22 years on capital murder and rape charges, DNA evidence cleared

him of the crime entirely, putting him nowhere near the scene.

• Now Yarris is the first death row inmate in Pennsylvania – and the 15th in America

– cleared of his crime with DNA evidence before execution.

• But because Yarris was exonerated of his crime, he got no help from parole services

at finding a job.

He also got no money from the state from his wrongful conviction – just five dollars

and seven cents of his own money.

7 – Nguyen Thi Hue • Another Vietnamese drug lord found a much

different way to avoid a death sentence.

• Nicknamed the "Rose of Fire," she joined up with a major drug runner in China

to open a major underground smuggling operation.

• She was eventually captured, and sentenced to death – but she found a loophole.

Under Vietnamese criminal law, pregnant women cannot be sentenced to death.

• So she paid one of the male inmates in the prison to… no, not to have sex with

her.

She paid him to leave her two bags of his semen, so she could impregnate herself with

a syringe.

• It worked, and her sentence was commuted to life in prison.

6 – Dayonte Resiles • Dayonte Resiles didn't even wait to

be sentenced to death before he escaped from it.

• In his hearing for the murder of Jill Halliburton Su, of the Halliburton oil company

family, Resiles simply ran.

• He unlocked his chains and cuffs, shed his prisoner's uniform, and bolted from

the courtroom.

• An internal investigation into his escape implicated as many as 8 accomplices, including

the bailiffs in the courtroom.

• Resiles was re-captured after a six-day manhunt.

5 – Martin E. Gurule • Martin Gurule somehow managed to both

escape his death sentence and move it way forward.

• In 1998, Gurule became the first escaped Death Row inmate in Texas since Floyd Hamilton,

a member of the Bonnie and Clyde gang, in 1934.

• His scheme involved dummies, a climb over razor wire, and a run through gunfire, but

it worked – he got outside the prison.

• A few days later, he was found dead at the bottom of a swampy river, presumably drowned.

So instead of escaping his death sentence, he simply carried it out on himself.

4 – Steven Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky • Steven Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky

avoided the death penalty, basically by pure luck.

• As they waited for their sentences to be carried out, the state of Connecticut ruled

that capital punishment was unconstitutional.

• Neither of these men, or the other 9 living Death Row inmates in Connecticut are having

their crimes cleared, of course.

• But because of the ruling, their sentences are being reduced to life without parole,

rather than death.

3 – Paul House • After 22 years on Death Row in Tennessee,

Paul House was released on bail.

But why would a convicted rapist and murderer be granted bail from a death sentence?

• That's because in 2006, the Supreme Court took up his case and granted him a new

hearing.

DNA evidence examined the semen, cigarette butts, and blood under the victim's fingernails

– and none of it matched House.

• The victim's blood was found on House's jeans, but there were unanswered questions

about whether the evidence was contaminated on the way to the forensics lab.

• The result of House's hearing wasn't just that he had his death sentence reduced.

He was exonerated of the crime entirely, and let go as a free man.

2 – Mecklenburg Six • The Titanic was considered an "unsinkable"

ship.

It sank in half a journey.

• Similarly, the Mecklenburg Maximum Security Prison in Virginia was considered "escape

proof."

Six death row inmates escaped from it in less than two hours using a stretcher, a blanket,

and a portable television.

• They overpowered the guards, started a prison riot, put on the guards' riot gear,

and called in a false bomb threat.

Then, they acted as the "bomb squad," carrying out the TV on the stretcher under

a blanket as "the bomb."

• All six of the escapees were re-captured within a few weeks, which is good, since they

were all convicted of strings of violent crimes.

1 – "The Class of '72" • In 1972, the California Supreme Court

ruled the death penalty unconstitutional.

And that led to a whole bunch of legal complications with what has since been named the "Class

of '72."

• More than 100 people were on Death Row in Calfornia when that ruling came down.

Most of them ended up with life sentences, but about 40 percent of those Death Row inmates

found themselves getting paroled.

• Three of those parolees ended up killing again after going free, and 12 ended up committing

some other type of crime.

• One of them, Dennis Stanworth, killed his own 90-year-old mother.

At the trial, he pled guilty to everything before even being asked for a plea, and begged

the court for death.

Black Cumin – A New Herbal Treatment for Hypothyroidism and Thyroid Autoimmunity - Duration: 4:15.

Hi, this is Dr. Ruscio, and let's discuss an interesting new plant medicine that may

help with hypothyroidism and with thyroid autoimmunity.

A study was recently published looking at a compound known a black cumin.

And I'll put this study up here on the screen.

The study was entitled—I'll shorten it up for you—but essentially "The effects

of Nigella sativa on thyroid function."

Nigella sativa has many a.k.a.'s, and I'll read a few for you here: black cumin, black

caraway, black sesame, onion seed, and roman coriander.

But essentially, in this study, they took 49 patients and they gave them either 2 grams

per day as a powder or a placebo for eight weeks.

And they tracked different markers, like body composition and weight, and also thyroid markers,

and compared the placebo group to the control group.

Now, what they found was interesting.

They did find a reduction in body weight.

But 2.8 pounds over eight weeks, that's something.

I wouldn't say it's highly meaningful, but it is something.

They did show what I would consider as significant reduction in TSH.

They showed a non-significant and what I would consider a non-meaningful reduction in TPO

antibodies.

And this is important, because if something is non-significant and also non-meaningful—there

was a change, but the change wasn't really meaningful or significant.

So let me put the table up here on the screen that will help out on this a little bit.

And I've highlighted for you the reduction in TSH.

From 6.4 to 4.1, that is a significant and a clinically meaningful reduction in TSH.

That essentially takes someone from positive to normal for a TSH value.

So that's significant.

Again, weight not in a stable—we discussed 2.8 pounds.

It was considered significant.

Would I consider that meaningful?

Maybe.

But then the TPO antibodies is the thing I really wanted to draw your attention to.

So, thyroid antibodies are when your immune cells attack thyroid tissue, and it's the

underlying cause of hypothyroidism in most westernized countries.

So the autoimmunity, the thyroid autoimmunity, and the antibodies that correspond to the

severity of the thyroid autoimmunity is something that's important to keep in mind and to

look at.

Now, in this case, we did see a reduction from 294 to 147 compared to the control right

next to it that went from 278 to 274.

Now, to the untrained eye that change from 294 to 147 may look significant.

However, statistically it was not significant, but also clinically I do not consider that

to be a clinically meaningful change.

Hey, guys.

Just a quick reminder that my new book is finally available: Healthy Gut, Healthy You.

And for our audience only, we are opening up a presale campaign so you can get the book

before anyone else.

And the presale campaign is open now up through until Friday, February 2nd.

So if you're looking to learn more about your gut health and have a no-nonsense education

on your gut and what to do to improve your gut, then this book Healthy Gut, Healthy You

is going to hopefully be a huge milestone in that direction.

If you go to DrRuscio.com/GetGutBook, you can learn more and/or pick up a copy.

I'm very excited about this book.

What I think I'm most excited about is the self-help plan at the end.

So if you're looking for a protocol—"What diet should I use?

For how long should I use it?

Should I also use probiotics?

Should I maybe do an antimicrobial herbal protocol?

Maybe I should consider an elemental diet.

Should I be using motility agents, yes or no?

How do I wean off of these things?"—the self-help plan at the end of the book walks

you through, step by step, with an assessment at the end of each step, exactly what the

best plan for you will be.

It's a 100% adaptable, personalized plan, and I think it's going to really fill in

the gaps for being able to take all the stuff that you learn about the gut and apply it

to yourself in an efficient and effective plan.

So, again, until February 2nd, the book is on presale for our audience only.

Go over to DrRuscio.com/GetGutBook, and pick up your copy today.

Thanks!

So, when we zoom way out, what does all this mean?

Well, this is an interesting herb that may have a place in thyroid care for either hypothyroidism

or for thyroid autoimmunity.

And I'm certainly glad this study was published and I certainly hope there's more research

published on this herb.

However, I wouldn't rush out and put yourself on black cumin just yet.

There are other treatments for body composition that would certainly work better.

Namely, there was one study that showed a low-carb, low-grain diet essentially led to

a much higher level of weight loss and also a greater reduction in thyroid antibodies.

Also, other compounds have been to shown to have a significant impact on those antibodies

like selenium, vitamin D, CoQ10, and magnesium.

So, this is definitely something interesting, the study on black cumin here.

However, it wouldn't be my top choice for thyroid, at least not at this point.

Certainly happy to keep an eye in the oven to see if anything else exciting is published.

But for right now, I would say don't rush out because you read a catchy headline saying

that people lost weight and saw improved thyroid autoimmunity from black cumin.

Because, technically, both those statements are true, but when you look at the details

here, they're really not significant or not even significant at all.

So, black cumin may have a place in the future for thyroid health.

For right now, I would say it's interesting, something to keep an eye on, but not necessarily

something that you need to move on.

So, this is Dr. Ruscio, and I hope this information helps you get healthy and get back to your

life.

Thanks.

Why Does Sweat Turn Shirts Yellow? - Duration: 2:51.

Apple iPhone X Being DISCONTINUED - Don't Buy The iPhone X - Duration: 2:40.

An apple leak may have just revealed that the iphone x might be discontinued.

Why am I not surprised.

Welcome back to inform overload where we overload you with information.

I'm charlotte and I'm the main host of this channel.

If you need a place to get your trending news on youtube, look no further and subscribe

to IO.

Apples 10th anniversary phone may be getting the boot, according to a KGI securities analyst

Ming Chi Kuo.

He says that the sales of the highly anticipated phone have bee disappointing, and production

will be stopping this summer.

Its pretty rare that apple cancels production of their phones.

The last one to be cancelled was the 5C in 2014.

But I mean..the 10th anniversary phone?

The fact that apple is scrapping the iphone 10 is pretty monumental.

Consumers are not exactly blind sheep anymore that will purchase anything that apple has

to offer?

Could this mean, dare I say it, the beginning of the end of apple?

Well, lets not get carried away yet.

Yes, the iphone 10 was a bit of a bust, and that pretty much has to do with the fact that

its so friggin expensive for what you're getting.

You can buy a used car for the same price as an iphone ten.

Plus I feel like the 10 fell short with the majority of its upgrade features.

The face unlock was a disaster, there were many reports of people being able to unlock

phones that weren't theirs.

Apparently, one of the main reasons for this is the disinterest in china.

Chinese consumers drive a lot of apples sales, and they just aren't buying iphone 10s.

Its been suggested by some reports that the iphone 10 is unable to tell chinese people

apart from one another, which could be the reason why its not selling well in china.

That's a pretty big security risk, if other people can unlock your iphone x they can pay

for things with apple pay.

Its like having access to someones pin to their credit card.

Apple has addressed that claim and said that its totally untrue, and they claim theres

only a 1 in a million chance that someone elses face can unlock your phone.

Another reason its not selling well in china is because the 10 is not yet compatible with

many popular chinese apps.

One has to wonder, if that's true, then why isn't apple just selling the iphone

x at a cheaper price, rather than discontinuing it?

The apple is expected to stop production of the iphone 10 in july or august of 2018.

So guys, do you have the iphone 10?

Do you like it? why or why not.

in your armpits is produced in much the same way.

Thirteen Absurdly Awesome Traits Of Highly Intuitive People - Duration: 6:29.

13 absurdly or some traits of highly intuitive people Einstein once said that

the only real valuable thing is intuition while Marilyn Monroe is quoted

as saying a woman knows by intuition or instinct what is best for herself but

what makes intuition such a valuable thing to possess and what is it about

intuitive individuals that sets them apart from the rest of us

while it is Nayan impossible to give a definitive set of characteristics that

all intuitive's embody there are some common traits that can be identified to

provide a window into their world the following 13 qualities describes some of

the ways a highly intuitive person thinks acts and lives differently if you

find this information is helpful to you make sure to like this video and

subscribe to this channel so you won't miss any of our interesting updates in

the future one they listen to and obey their inner voice perhaps the most

obvious trait of an intuitive person is the extent to which they listen to the

little voice inside of them and actually act based upon what it says they don't

question the advice being given but simply know it to be the most

appropriate course to take at any given moment

- they closely observe their surroundings in order for their gut to

provide sensible and effective recommendations they will keep a

watchful eye on their environment in the situation at hand all of this

observation means that they have the necessary information required when a

decision needs to be made they can act on their impulses safe in the knowledge

that they have assimilated all of the relevant intelligence available 3 they

pay attention to their dreams intuition forms a link between the conscious and

unconscious minds which is why a highly intuitive person recognizes the

importance of dreams they know that what they think about during sleep can be a

metaphor for their underlying desires and fears they also understand that

dreams can provide solutions to the problems they face or other forms of

inspiration for they are acutely aware of their feed

whereas many people attempt to numb their feelings or ignore them all

together an intuitive person values the feedback provided by them they know that

their feelings are valuable messages for them that can help shine a light on the

path they should take they don't just feel a feeling they think about what it

is trying to tell them five they can quickly Center on and now in order to

help them hear and comprehend what their intuition is saying they have a

remarkable ability to refocus their mind entirely on them now so as to block out

any unnecessary thoughts about the past or future only when they have achieved

the state of mindfulness can they be aware of the full message being

communicated six they are typically optimistic souls

being more closely aligned with their feelings than most intuitive people are

better equipped to process anything negative that may arise from within

before detaching themselves from it they are able to quickly learn lessons from

their mistakes and this generally makes them optimistic about the future they

know that good can come out of bad and that progress can be made no matter how

bleak the outlook appears at any given instant seven they have a strong sense

of purpose without necessarily knowing what it may be highly intuitive

individuals tend to feel a strong sense of purpose in their lives they believe

they have a calling that they are destined to answer and they like to move

forward with gusto as if to uncover the full meaning of this feeling eight they

are deep thinkers you may imagine that a person who is guided by their intuition

has little need for deep thought and contemplation but the opposite is closer

to the truth they find it extremely helpful to focus their minds on their

values and core beliefs this allows them to further educate and refine their

intuition so that it provides them with better counsel 9 they take note of signs

provided by the universe an intuitive being knows that there is more to this

world than meets the eye they are acutely aware of the various

messages being conveyed by the universe at any given time coincidences faithful

meetings and other apparently random events are all seen as significant and

are taken as signs by which they navigate their path

to life 10 they can sense what others are thinking or feeling intuitive people

commonly have very good empathetic abilities meaning they can sense what

others are thinking and feeling their minds are highly attuned to the

vibrational frequencies given off by those around them and they use this

information to further refine the way they act in a situation 11 they can

easily build trust with others with such a good grasp of how other people are

feeling they are well equipped to choose the

most appropriate and responses they can instantly tell how open someone isn't

Taylor the way they behave so as to progress at a speed the other person is

comfortable with this non-threatening approach makes them very likeable 12

they are creative and imaginative no idea is too far-fetched for a highly

intuitive person and this freedom gives their imaginations and creative sides

full scope to imagine and create they let their minds take them wherever it

wants to go which results in thoughts and ideas packed with unique points of

view 13 they make time for peaceful relaxation they know that for their

intuition to operate at peak efficiency rest and recuperation are paramount in

order to let other energies that may create noise to settle and disperse they

make sure to schedule sufficient periods of relaxation and often find that some

of their most brilliant thoughts come about during these moments are you a

highly intuitive person do you agree with the things laid out here can you

think of other traits that are also closely associated with a strong sense

of intuition please share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below

<i>My own daughter--</i> <i>I came home,</i>

WOMEN'S MARCH 2018 NYC! - Duration: 6:41.

Hey what's up guys- Today's the day

I'm on my way, towards Penn Station area because I love putting myself in misery

and I'm meeting up with Other Caroline again- don't you just love guest appearances

I FOUND HER.

Hiiiiii

HA HA HA HA

Ok so the entrance, moved but we're still on our way and like I"m not worried about

it

We, We'll get there.

We'll get there

BOOOO

alright, here's the, the street

"Donald Trump has got to go, hey hey"

Its a.. a little bit later.

We're still in the same spot.

Still here.

But like in a good, it's like a.. oooh... uuuhh.. we're an live way

*cheers***

Still not moving, but like others are so I'm feeling good

Our section just started moving, SO HAPPY

If we can get in the sun, that would change everything

officially free from the side street / We're in it to win in babbyy

A few hours later, we've made it to the part with speakers.

it's changing everything

We're having a really good time at Coachella this year

Music: "you're my disco, playing on the stereo"

BOOOO, BOOOOO * a lot of boos* *tamborine*

Chant: "Shame, Shame, Shame"...

We stopped for a quick pic, but we're now like actually moving It's crazy.

after taking hours to go a couple blocks

I don't even know.

Not sure where we are right now.

We're lost but Iguess we're going the right way.

this land is my land, from california to New york island

Telling us to get outta here

alright, we're reaching the END of the route.

There's flashing signs that say disperesal point

Almost five hours later, woooo

Whole thing, CHECK- bing

Heeeyyyy,

So obviously, I've made it home.

Me and caroline had dinner.

We like got to chat about the day.

Had a good time.

But it's come to an end, I'm so tired.

I feel like a new staple of my videos is like, doing something and getting incoherent clips,

but then talking about it after vs. just letting that sit...

Idid kind of want to chat about the experience, today and sort of explain one- just like how

it went down, what the feeling was, and just like my interpretation.

I don't know??

The whole day started Iforget the exact street: numbers?

Caroline's gonna kill me.

Because I asked her like a thousand times.

like, throughout it.

Where are we?

Where did we start?

Where does it end?

Like, literally constantly.

So we stood in the shade on a side street forrrrr at least..an hour-ish. and we sort

of moved up within that just by people shuffling around

throughout that hour.

But once we entered the main area uuhhh, we went all the way to 46- Iwant to say, 45?

maybe.

Is where the whole thing just totally.

They were just saying, thanks so much for coming, please exit left or right, it's now

over, amazing day ladies; was sort of the end point, situation??

For the first ten, blocks or more, it took there was like one really quick block that

was only a 10 minute walk which is still..

a long time for, like a block, but like, obviously it was a big crowd

but some of the blocks took over an hour to walk, just because oofff, how everything was

set UP.

inbetween each block there were barricades, that sort of funnel you out, so we would go

form having the full street to having like, max four or five people across able to go

through the little mini section, i don't know

Explination is a disaster

yeah, Ithink it was a really interesting experience.

I personally had a like a really really good time

Seeing all the signs, and hearing stories around me of the previous marches.

There was some girl we like, very briefly talked to who was in the Austin march last

year.

and a lot of uhh, women were bringing their daughters and the women were like Iwas in

DC last year.

But, I brought my daughter this year to NYCso glad to be a part

Literally tell how tired I am not that Ican ever put a sentence together.

But it's really struggling right now.

HEYYY good morning

Umm, today my plan is, if I can get my shit together,

Just like, work on the apartment I have like a bunch of paper work to do, and like stuff

to just do on the computer

I won't make you watch me do that BUT

*chainsmokers play*

There's been a beeping noise, in the living room, for 24 hours now.

Yesterday, it was just some random like dooo, doooO, Dooo, duooo; like some beeping..

but it's straight up playing happy birthday and I can't figure out where it is, it's so

faint.

It's definitely in the living room.

can you hear it?

can you hear it?

can you hear it?

I've been waiting on seamless delivery for over an hour, it said it was supposed to be

here 40 minutes agoooo

at the MAXIMUM

Ican't start watching Grey's Anatomy until Ihave foooood, I'm not an ANIMAL

*doorbell*

Hii, thank you..

TRUST NO ONE

Foods cold, but Idon't care/

ugh, I wish I ordered more

ANYWAY, Ihope you guys had a good weekend, If you marched I hope you had such a good

time, and such a good experience.

Ummm.. and .. I'll see you sooooon, BYYE BYE BYE BYE bye bye bye bye

The Hardest Would You Rather: Relationship Edition - Duration: 5:59.

- Do you wanna have a threesome?

Let us know in the comments below.

(Ella laughing)

(upbeat music)

- We're gonna be taking the hardest,

Would You Rather, for relationships.

- The hardest, Would You Rather, Relationship Edition.

- Would you rather - Mm hmm.

- Find out your S.O. cheated on you, with their ex,

or find out your S.O. had a threesome without you?

- Ah - (laughing)

- Ah ha, those are both a bummer.

If your S.O. sleeps with their ex,

that's cheating on you once.

If they have a threesome, that's cheating on you twice.

- Mm hmm.

- So I think I have to go with the first.

- I don't know, God, that's such a hard one.

- Or, I guess you could be like,

oh, if they had a threesome, oh, that means they're,

they like to party, in a way

that I wasn't aware of before, (New Year's party favor horn)

and maybe they'll wanna have a threesome with me?

Is that the hope?

- I don't know, I think I would just

be way more mad about the ex.

- So you don't like your S.O.'s ex, is,

what we're learning right now. (Ella laughing)

- (laughing) Can I say, on the record,

that I, am not that interested in the idea of a threesome?

I barely have enough stamina for one person.

- I agree.

- 59% - 59

- Would rather the threesome.

If the presidential election were 59 to 41,

they would call that a landslide.

- That's - That's a huge margin,

as far as politics are concerned.

Would you rather, walk in on your S.O.

having a drunken one-night stand with someone else,

this is why, what's with all the infidelity?

My little fragile heart can't take it.

Would you rather walk in on your S.O.

having a drunken one-night stand with someone else,

or, find out your S.O. has actively been looking

for another relationship on Tinder for months?

- Mm mm, one-night stand,

drunken, for me. - Whoa!

- This is a real Sophie's choice here.

I'm gonna go with the drunken one.

Yeah, 'cause you know, - Yeah.

We've all done dumb things when you're drunk.

I guess it'd be easier to forgive.

- Mm hmm.

- And 72% of people agree.

- Would you rather find out your S.O.

has been sexting other people,

or have your S.O. break off your engagement?

- Oh, you know I like the term S.O.,

'cause I think it's more inclusive.

I just don't like how it sounds.

You know, - It's hard to say.

- I like what it means.

Can we call it, the SO?

- Yeah, your SO. - Does anyone do that?

I'm asking genuinely. - Maybe we should start it.

- All right, so your SO is gonna,

I'm gonna do this in a way,

that you have to edit that rant in,

or else, they're gonna be like,

why are they start, calling people SO?

(playful saxophone music)

So sexting, is that photos, or is it just like, ooh baby,

I want your pepperoni pizza. - Oh, God. (laughing)

I think it can be--

- I've never sexted before,

if you can't tell. (laughing) - (laughing)

- I think it can be photos or texting.

- The sexting implies, it's a cheating, right?

- There's an emotional - Yeah.

- Cheating, if nothing else.

The engagement, it could mean something.

You know, maybe you're just two kids, you're crazy in love,

and you did something, and then you realize,

you know what, we're not made to get married.

- Yeah. I've still got a lot of

growing to do, I've got my career to think about,

and I wanna make sure I can take care of you

before we settle down.

So, maybe, you just engaged, you just proposed to soon.

- I agree with that one.

I would rather be broken up with, than cheated on,

and then, have to break up, because of being cheated on.

- Cheating is worse than dumping.

Dumping, at least you have the

the respect to be - Yeah, that means.

- Honest about it, yeah. - Respect, it's respect.

- Wow, fifty-fifty! - Fifty-fifty!

- Looks like the engagement is winning

by under 10,000 votes.

- Oh, wow.

- Got a lotta votes on this, Jesus.

Would you rather, find out your SO,

is about to have a baby with someone else,

(baby crying)

or, find out your SO is married with children?

(multiple babies crying) - Oh, my God.

- Woo!

- That was provoked so bad.

- Woo!

You know, shame on us, if we didn't realize

they were pregnant (laughing), for this long.

You know, I don't. - Yeah.

- They're about to have a baby,

- You would be like. - I should have

Figured that out.

- I would be impressed, if I were dating someone,

and they had this whole other life that I didn't know about.

'Cause I'm like, when, when, when do you have the time?

Then, I would be disappointed,

because you're neglecting children,

by hanging out with me - Yeah.

- And that's no good. - Right.

That's why I would go with,

the baby with someone else.

- 58% of people agree. - 58%.

- This is the final question, by the way.

- Yeah, final question!

Would you rather, have your S.O.'s parents hate you,

or, have your parents hate your S.O.?

That's kind of a hard one.

- This is super easy for me.

- Really?

- Yeah, well, actually I guess not.

- Okay, tell me what yours would be.

- I'd rather have their parents hate me.

If it's my family that hates her,

then I'm gonna have to hear about it all the (beep) time.

But if they hate me, then it's just gonna be like,

weird when I go over, and they won't want to talk to me,

and, you know, I'll get over it.

- Who are we spending time with, then?

- Whose family? - Right.

If you live near your SO's - Proximity.

- Family.

- My family's in New York, so actually, it'd be way easier,

- If they hate, - If they hate, it's whatever.

But if the SO's family is here, (blows wind through mouth)

- I'm gonna just say, have your SO's parents hate you.

- Yeah, yeah, yeah, wow, pretty close.

- 51, 49. - 49.

- I think what that revealed about us,

is that, we're not considerate. (laughing)

- Yes. (laughing) - Right?

'Cause we'd rather them deal with the bullshit

with their parents, than have - Right.

- to accept it ourselves. - Yeah, yeah.

That felt good.

- Felt good.

- I feel like I know more about my boundaries.

I don't, actually.

- (laughing) I noticed I--

- I thought that maybe this could reveal something,

but, it just revealed that I would be fine

with someone having a threesome.

- Right.

- We're gonna put this quiz in the description,

When to Start Reading to Baby | Top 6 Benefits of Baby Books - Duration: 2:56.

Hi Stacey here from Stacey Jane's Nappy Cakes.

Today I wanted to talk about the Top 6 Benefits of Baby Books.

Many parents find it odd to read to toddlers' much less newborn babies.

This is because they think that the children in this age bracket cannot really comprehend

what is being read to them.

These children can't even talk properly yet.

However, there are actually many benefits of baby books and reading out loud to an infant

or a toddler.

It promotes communication skills.

Parents reading to their kids can help children develop their early communication skills.

Studies have shown that reading to children as early as possible can help develop their

later communication and vocabulary skills.

It also enhances their capability to memorize, listen and maintain a longer attention span.

Baby books teach a child emotion.

This can be taught by the way the parent changes the tone of their voice when reading the book.

Baby books similarly help develop fine motor skills as the child learns to turn each page.

Their perceptual or cognitive skills are developed because the child will learn if the book is

turned upside down.

It promotes parent-child closeness.

One of the benefits of reading to babies is the building of ties between parents and their

kids.

It is a good way to bond and to put down any walls or barriers between the child and the

parents.

It can also be a way to establish a nightly pattern before sleep and to soothe the child

as they slip into dreamland.

Higher academic achievements.

Baby books promote a higher aptitude for learning especially during toddler and pre-school years.

Studies also show that the younger the child is exposed to reading baby books, the more

likely they would do well in every area during formal education.

Better mastery of language.

Children who read baby books and who has parents reading to them out loud have better chances

of grasping a certain language.

They can master the usage and the meaning of a certain language better than those who

do not read baby books.

Better transition to new experiences.

They say that experience is the best teacher, yet kids do not really need to experience

everything to know the outcome.

For example, a child can be taught the meaning of hot and cold through reading without going

through the experience of touching a hot object that can hurt the child.

The benefits of baby books are many.

The best benefit yet is that it helps makes the child become the various facets of their

personality.

No Contest Clauses Updated For 2018 - Duration: 2:51.

hi there my name is Bridget Makai I'm an estate planning and elder law attorney

in Petaluma California this is my video blog and today I want to talk about no

contest clauses so these are clauses that are in wills or trusts more

commonly that kind of say hey beneficiary if you choose to challenge

this trust then you're not going to get a dime these are pretty standard clauses

and trusts and I often have clients ask me to put them in even though they're

already in our trust but there's something you should know as a person

who's gonna make a trust and that is you know we assume this is gonna prevent

fighting on the other end once we pass away and our trust is administered we're

hoping that this Clause would make it so our beneficiaries don't fight although

this clause has changed in its power I guess over the last several years so

there's been laws passed that are narrowing when you can claim it's a

contest so in other words if I were trustee and I was administering a trust

and a beneficiary was upset about the content of the trust so the trust or had

said this beneficiary is getting less than another beneficiary or left them

out altogether then that beneficiary could sue the trust and I would have to

defend it and say hey this person can't sue this trust because there's a clause

in this trust that says if anybody decides to sue they lose everything

and so usually these were built into trust as a deterrent to those future

beneficiaries that feel like they want to get litigious about the trust here

are three things you need to know about these clauses number one over the last

five ten years or more the the definition of what a contest is has

narrowed number two along those same lines attorneys can now attorneys for

the beneficiaries can now petition the court and ask hey we're about to file

this lawsuit would you consider that to be a contest so they get this sort of

pre ruling about whether it can be a contest or not

and the third thing is just a practical thing if you're building a trust and you

want one of these clauses in it is that always give if there's someone you want

to exclude from your trust you should really give them something that would

make it not worth it for them to lose if they were to sue the trust that's

probably the best part of advice I can give on these types of clauses if you

want to know more contact an experienced estate planning attorney in your area

and ask them

you

Tech Talk VLOG: My Issues with Micro SD Cards, DSLR vs Camera Phone & Video Editing Software - Duration: 9:43.

Hi everybody!

I am April Simpson Hunt. this is Kalel and this is aquila. Aquila.

Say Hi! Hi!

Um you could come and into my toy videos because I have a lot of toys.

Hi guys!

I'm april simpson hunt and this is mermaid mama designs

Thank you so much for stopping by today

I wanted to take a moment to talk and let you guys know what's

been going on in my world

I had been on a roll,

& I was producing content regularly

and I...the last week or so

have taken a little break and a step back.

I've been running into issues left and right

so I'm making a video to tell you about it.

um. topic of the day is micro SD cards and adaptors

if you guys know anything about them

I would love to pick your brain

so please leave me a comment below

What had happened was...

I had an old old old

memory card that I was using with my nikon d5600

my baby, that i love.

and it was just an 8 GB memory card, nothing special.

to it, but somehow it ended up getting locked during my last video.

I figured out that it was locked and how to unlock it.

but when I went to unlock it, I broke it in half. *laughs*

so

My husband, nice man that he is,

ran out and grabbed me a memory card.

What I thought was a memory card

it was actually a micro SD card

Like this.

and an adaptor card. like this.

They go together. The one he got me was

64 GB, which was huge!

and I thought it was a 64 GB memory card, so I was just

so excited

thought I would just make tons and tons of content and i

was gonna....i don't know...do it big or something.

but I went to put it in my camera

I took the pictures, then put it in my laptop

which is a fairly new laptop

It's a dell inspiron 7000 series. Well, inspiron 13, 7000 series.

um. a pretty brand new computer.

It doesn't have a lot of memory on it.

but I went to use the card with my computer

there's a little slot for memory cards.

and it would not read it.

well, first it wouldn't read it

and then it read it and I could see that it was there.

and the computer was registering it

but anytime I would go to open it,

or to copy and paste the files

or to open them or

put them in Lightroom or anything,

my computer would just freeze up

completely *laughs

like not moving at all

and then whatever program it was I was trying to open them in

would shut down.

so I did this pretty much all day yesterday.

and i just got so frustrated I was ready to pull my hair out

In the meantime, I made a video with my kids

on my phone

and I realized that with

my D5600,

sometimes I have focusing issues,

like I will go to show you something

like this

and then I will pull it back

and I will have to re re-focus my screen

on myself. or on a product

Like when I did the makeup video it was like... *points at screen several times* constantly

trying to get it to focus. which is super annoying,

but it is what it is

but I realized, in making the video,

with my kids on my phone

that my...

what is it. It's a Samsung Galaxy S 5 ?

phone, I believe. An Android.

it um. It has really great video quality!

and focusing!

the auto focus is...

just on point!

so

I also like the video editor that I have on my phone better.

Not better. I shouldn't say "better"

On my laptop, I use the VSDC video editor

which is a free software and it is A-mazing. A-mazing? Uh-mazing? Mer-mazing? haha

It's good!

Like there is a ton of stuff

and every day that goes by, I find more stuff that I can do with it!

So it's a super great editor.

I love it. and I love that it's free. really. it's great stuff.

Um. As a newbie and a beginner,

sometimes it gets a little overwhelming because there IS so much I can do.

But I'm definitely not complaining.

But the app that I have on my phone is called Kinemaster.

Which I like even better because it's so quick!

It's drag and drop and I can pinch to zoom.

pinch out...and just...literally with my fingers!

So, the videos that I take on my phone are better quality

and I can edit them faster

Which..uh Duh April.

Is the goal. Like, the whole goal of everything

I've been so focused on using this camera

and finding a way to make these stupid little cards work

Today I realized I could totally take this SD card out

Micro SD card out

and stick it in my phone!

Which I've been having memory issues with and I can't take videos on my phone because there is never any storage.

Just the way the phone came, I guess?

I don't have a lot of apps on it

It just doesn't have any storage

so...none of my things have storage!

I don't understand what it is. Everyone wants me to pay for storage, I guess?

You're not getting my money

Anyway

So I can put the micro sd card, the 64 GB one, in my phone

and it reads just fine

****goes on a rant about not being able to get the files to open on the phone app....but says "I will figure it out. I promise!

In the meantime, though, I can still record from this *points to DSLR

with, I found a 4 GB Micro SD card and adaptor around my house.

which is a kingston brand? The other is a sandisk.

But the kingston brand 4 GB one works just fine....***fast forwarded through this part

...would not open whatsoever

The 4 GB one is absolutely fine

I can open it with my DSLR

and I can get the things off of it onto my laptop.

So i don't know

I have a theory

and I think that it is because my computer is low on storage

naturally. I think

I think that that's why I can't access the memory card...?

cause the memory card has 64 GB of memory

which is a lot of memory

which you would think that it would need a lot of memory to process....

or maybe a lot of RAM? I don't know. I'm not a tech girl.

I don't know a lot about tech

But my theory is that maybe you have to have an equal amount of memory to be able to read that much memory.

Granted, it was just one video (that was on the card)

Maybe the card was too big for the computer?

I don't know. If you know anything about Micro SD cards,

Please let me know in the comments below!

Because I would love to pick your brain

**fast forwarded showing pictures on DSLR

Yeah. You like my shirt?

I'm having issues with perfectionism lately

So I decided to make myself a shirt

and this is what I'm telling my perfectionism ("zero fox given".)

Anyway, I was excited because this is a revelation. That I can edit,

Take good quality...

Let's try that again. *laughs*

I came to the realization that I could take better quality videos on my phone

especially in low light situations

and I can edit them easier on my phone.

Which I think, for me personally, means I will be able to...get...

*blow raspberry

I think for me personally means I will be able to get my content out more regularly.

for you guys!

Which I am super excited about, because I have a lot of things coming up this month

and next month, that I'm super over the moon excited for

I have a DIY beach themed mason jar project

coming up that the kids and I are going to do.

I don't have all the specifics nailed down yet, but hang onto your mason jars, if you have some.

I am also doing a giveaway. My facebook page recently reached 500 likes

which is like "boom" Mind blown.

I'm so excited about it

but I didn't know what to do for it

because my page is always kinda like "momlife"

bullet journaling, sewing, DIY, photography, like I'm just all over the place

the only thing I think that pulls everything together would be my bullet journaling.

so I'm going to do a giveaway for some of my favorite bullet journaling supplies.

That will be next month and it will be on the facebook page

which is facebook.com/mermaidmamadesigns

Like i said, I am super excited to have

a plan of action now for my videos

and I hope to God that it works, but even if it doesn't, I'm going to figure out other ways to do it

with the Nikon, like I have been doing.

I've also decided that I am not going to be such a perfectionist about my editing.

I absolutely want to put out professional content for you guys. I do.

That is my goal for 2018, is to make my channel as professional as I possibly can.

**fast forwarded. Blurb about not being able to fully edit out mom life.**
