It doesn't matter if you are tall, short, ugly, fat

They will love you as longs as you have money

when you are out of money

You are also out of that girl, they will leave you like that, just like that

So the rarest of Thai girls seen & met

Are the ones that will love you always

Doesn't matter if you're tall, short, fat or ugly

They love you as long as you are a good guy

All you have to do is treat her nicely, respect her parents

Really respect her parents, they really loves their parents

And if she have children, also like them of cause

I don't think no girls will like you, if you hate their children

And if your hard-working

That's a plus

She will help you do anything

Hard-work like cleaning and household things

And everything as long as you help sometimes

But if you don't help, that doesn't matter as long as you are

Good and hardworking

Doesn't matter if you're rich

Because they don't think about that, just that you're are hardworking

Post Knee Replacement Surgery Experience: What I Learned About Skilled Nursing Facilities - Duration: 18:45.

During the past two years my mom has had two total knee replacement surgeries.

We thought the pre surgery tests and the research would be hard enough, but post surgery was

a whole other story!

These are my experiences and the lessons I have learned about what is needed post surgery.

This takes place in NYC so my experiences may or may not apply to other places.

The orthopedic surgeon informed us that the general procedure was for my mom to stay in

the hospital for 3 days and then be transferred to a skilled nursing facility for rehabilitation

and physical therapy.

I started my research on the facilities within the insurance company's provider network

that were near us, and I contacted several of them about their therapy and facilities.

I also went through review sites with Yelp being the most honest.

I put the sites in the description below.

In addition, I got into contact with the head of orthopedics at another hospital who was

very honest about the state of the local skilled nursing facilities on my list.

She did not have good things to say about any of them.

She recommended picking the one with the newest facilities as they would be the cleanest.

The hospital has social workers who are assigned to take care of the arrangements for securing

a bed at a skilled nursing facility as well as the transportation to the facility.

I had to give the social worker five nursing facility choices in order of desire.

The social worker would contact each facility on the list to find out if a bed was available.

If the first choice had no room, then she would move on to contacting the second choice,

and so on and so forth.

Shady Facility One nursing facility tried to pull something

shady.

They called me directly and asked me to confirm that my mother was coming to stay with them.

Since they were third on the list I said that I would have to speak with the social worker

first.

If my mother's first two choices did not have beds available, then she would go to

the third choice.

When I informed the social worker she told me that what the nursing facility did was

wrong.

All their dealings are with the social worker and they never should have called me directly.

Had I given any indication that my mother would stay with that facility, the social

worker would have to undo all her work and make arrangements with them.

And it turned out that our first choice facility did have a bed available.

Facility Admissions There were a number of things that needed

to be done when you first enter a facility: Get the admissions packet.

There's important information in there, especially contact information with important people

like the social worker in charge of you.

Make sure to ask when the initial consultation meeting will take place.

The meeting goes over nutrition, diet, physical therapy, and other progress reports for the

patient.

There will be more on that later.

This is usually scheduled within 20 days of the stay (in my mom's case.)

They give the family a sheet of contact information that also includes the phone numbers of the

social worker, floor front desks, and other info like emails.

Important Questions Ask about the on call response time.

Every bed has a call button.

How long before a caregiver comes to see the patient?

When are the shift changes and will they affect response time?

Bedpan or adult diaper?

If the patient has limited mobility, ask if a bedpan is given or will the patient wear

an adult diaper.

How often are they changed?

What is the bathing schedule?

Ask how often patients will be bathed and when.

Patient To-do items [Double check any medication given to you]

Always double check that the medication and tests are meant for you.

Sometimes the person who administers the meds or the tests will not check the patient's

ID bracelet and may hand you someone else's meds.

[Take your pain medication] Make sure to get your pain meds at least half an hour before

starting physical therapy to give the medicine time to kick in.

[Take your bath] If it's bath day and no one has come to you, make sure you inform

someone or they will skip you!

There was an old resident who couldn't speak English.

She hadn't had a bath for months and none of the care staff kept track.

Doctors wouldn't even come into her room to see her because the smell was so bad.

[Get front desk / nursing desk number] Get the direct number to reach the nursing desk.

There is a call button, but if there is an emergency, this is the best way to reach them

right away.

[Give monetary tips] Even though the nursing facility said, "No tipping," they don't

pay their staff enough.

You will receive better care and people are nicer to you when you tip.

But do so discreetly so that the caregivers do not get into trouble!

Wheelchair & Caregivers

This last tip came in handy when my mother asked to keep the wheelchair by her bed.

My mom was allowed to do very little walking with a walker.

Instead, she was wheeled everywhere in a wheelchair.

Usually wheelchairs are put into a storage room when not in use.

Residents are normally not allowed to keep the wheelchairs by their beds.

After my mom's surgery she had really bad constipation.

With a combination of stool softener and laxatives, by the time my mom got to the nursing facility

she was having really bad diarrhea.

The thing with this nursing facility was there were only 2 care givers for the 40 residents

on a floor.

A few of these residents were immobile and needed constant care.

If you had an emergency and rang for a caregiver, you could expect to wait 45 minutes to even

3 hours before someone got to you.

And when my mother needed to go to the bathroom badly, she would hoist herself into the wheelchair

and wheel herself to the bathroom, which was right across from her bed.

Even though there are signs that say all residents must ask a staff member to help them get out

of bed, sometimes one can't wait.

The staff told us to give them 'time', for example, if you think you may need the

bathroom, press the call button and they should get there in around 10 minutes or more.

But if you have an emergency, you can't wait that long!

So having the wheelchair by my mother's bed was much more convenient.

Necessities There are also a lot of things your family

member needs when he or she is at the facility.

Some of the items I brought to my mother included: Cell phone and charger (there was no phone

in the room so my mother had to have a means of contacting me)

Sweater / sweatshirt because she would get cold (the heat was not enough and the sheets

were thin) Disinfectant wipes (the surfaces were sticky)

Change of underwear Scarf

Ginger ale and fruits (she would get thirsty and hungry because the meals were not filling)

Tissues Cortizone

The sheets weren't very clean and had a smell to them.

My mother developed rashes so the cortizone helped.

I visited every day to get a list of things my mother needed and to get her report in

case anything was amiss.

Security

Blood tests, EKGs, and x-rays are standard tests to establish a baseline and these were

all done by a third party that would come into the facility.

However, WHEN they are done could raise a security issue.

A man came into my mother's room after 10pm at night.

He was there to take x-rays, but without a female nurse present and wearing no uniform

my mom was understandably freaked out.

All tests were usually done during the daytime so my mother thought there was a breach in

security.

We requested that all tests be done during the day and there would be no surprise visits

during the night.

Filing a Complaint

I know most people don't want to kick up a fuss for no reason.

The staff are overworked and underpaid and they are trying.

But when there are dire problems, your loved ones come first and you need those issues

to be resolved immediately.

If there ever comes a point where a problem is really bad you can file a complaint.

First go to the front desk supervisor.

He or she runs the floor.

Discuss the problems and figure out what happened and they will try to resolve the issue.

For more major issues, such as neglect or abuse, a social worker is assigned to patients

in given rooms.

This is why you need those contact numbers I mentioned before.

Contact the social worker immediately.

However, given that the social worker is overloaded, I am not sure how effective he or she may

be.

If major problems are not getting resolved, you can contact the New York State Department

of Health.

If you need a mediator, you can contact The New York State Ombudsman Program.

Discharge from Facility We're back to the initial consultation meeting

now.

The head physical therapist recommended my mom stay longer.

His diagnosis was unreliable as he had NEVER seen or examined my mother prior to making

his 'recommendation'.

The facility just wanted to make more money.

The insurance company covered a 20 day stay before we had to pay out of our own pocket.

The nutritionist also recommended that my mother lose weight, yet my mother's meals

were filled with very little protein and far too many carbs in the form of breads.

They could not keep my mother there if she did not want to stay, so we ordered the discharge

on day 20 and transportation was arranged to take my mother home.

It was an ambulette that could take wheelchairs.

After my mother left the nursing home the insurance company covered at home physical

therapy and several nurse visits for a couple of months.

By luck my mother's regular physical therapist went on vacation and we got an amazing new

PT (PT stands for physical therapist), who knew many exercises, when to slow down, when

to push my mother to try harder, overall, he was very well trained and had a great demeanor.

When my mother's second knee replacement surgery rolled around, the hospital instituted

an at-home physical therapy program with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.

That PT I mentioned before?

We specifically asked for him before we left the hospital when the social worker was arranging

care.

My mom improved very quickly with his help!

As for the second post surgery, the main issues came from the hospital not giving enough specific

discharge information which included:

When to arrange a follow-up appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon.

When the staples were to be removed and by whom.

If the visiting nurse was to remove the staples, she would need a staple remover kit.

I also bought skin closure strips which needed to be put on the skin after staple removal.

These were also not provided by the hospital.

If the kit and strips are not provided by the hospital, then the discharge papers should

have informed the visiting nurse that she needed to order the kit and the strips.

Insurance may or may not approve of home care,

which is a caregiver who would come during the day to watch over the patient and do light

house chores.

My family decided that we would take care of our mom and we didn't need home care

services.

The only problem was that the visiting nurse forgot we said that and checked off on our

files that we requested home care.

We were inundated with so many places asking us when should they send someone over.

The shady thing is this, if the specific home care wasn't insurance approved, we would

have to pay for the service.

Do your research Ask the necessary questions and obtain the

important information such as contact numbers for the nursing desk and the assigned social

worker Visit your loved one regularly

Bring the necessities including cell phone, charger, and clothing

Attend the necessary initial consultation meeting to discuss patient progress and care

Regarding the Hospital Discharge [Surgeon follow-up appointment] Find out when

to make a follow-up appointment with the surgeon [Staple removal] Find out when and who should

remove the staples If it's the visiting nurse, ask about the

staple kit.

Will the hospital provide the kit?

If not, please put a note in the discharge papers that a kit needs to be ordered.

Those were my experiences pretty much project managing my mother's knee replacement surgeries.

You may have heard of numerology before and perhaps you didn�t give it much credit or

brushed it off as some new age mumbo jumbo, but what if you could test it out for yourself

and see what it can actually represent? If you found it to be accurate in being able

to describe details in your life would you accept that there�s actually some truth

to it or brush it off as mere coincidence?

Are You Seeing Repeating Number Sequences?

Up until very recently, I hadn�t given numerology much thought at all, but for the last decade

or so, I�ve been seeing 11:11 quite regularly. In fact, I�m sure a lot of my Facebook friends

get annoyed with me because I always feel the need to share �11:11!� when I see

this on a clock, or license plate or anywhere really.

This number holds a lot of significance to me. Seeing this number has coincided perfectly

with my quest for knowledge, truth, and understanding. When I saw it I felt as though it was a message

from a higher source telling me that I am on the right path. A little wink from the

Universe, if you will. I have had many challenges in my lifetime, and particularly when going

through difficult times, I would see this number sequence as if it were a reminder that

I was being supported and to keep going. To read more about the significance of 11:11,

Sometimes in my life, these number sequences will change. For a brief period I was seeing

5:55 all the time. It�s very interesting, because at times, I would get up, walk to

the kitchen, glance at the clock on the stove and it would read 5:55, even though the clock

was not set to the proper time. I would then have no recollection as to what I was doing

in the kitchen in the first place. So, of course, I felt as though there was something

more to this and that I couldn�t brush it off as a coincidence. Upon further investigation

into numerology, I concluded that I most certainly was seeing this number sequence for a reason.

The meaning of the number sequence 5:55 suggests that huge changes are unfolding in your life

or are about to occur throughout various areas of your life. This is generally a sign of

positive change that will bring you into greater alignment with your soul purpose with greater

love, vitality, and abundance.

This couldn�t have been more accurate at the time, and so I became increasingly interested

in learning about numerology. You may be wondering�

What Exactly Is Numerology?

It is often related to occult teachings and is said to be any belief in the divine mystical

relationship between a number and one or numerous events that coincide. Pythagoras, the Greek

mathematician who lived from 569-470 BC is believed by many to be the originator of what

we now today call numerology, although the origins of numerology predate Pythagoras.

Evidence of numerology has been found throughout the Hebrew Kabbalah as well. As the theory

goes, each number has a unique vibration, which gives it certain properties. This is

similar to the way crystals are believed to be used. If each number has a vibration then

that means various sequences of numbers will have a specific vibration as well and will

mean different things when in different combinations.

In mathematics, everything has a number. And many believe that the Universe is made of

math, which makes the whole idea of numerology even more interesting. Galileo stated quite

famously that our Universe is a �grand book� that is written in the language of mathematics.

Mathematics is a lot more than just numbers, however, so we�ll save that whole discussion

for another article.

How Does Numerology Work?

Numerology comprises eleven different numbers that can be used to create numerology charts.

These numbers are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,11 and 22. Sometimes larger numbers occur when adding

various numbers together to form the values, but can be reduced by adding the digits together

until the sum achieved is one of the core numbers. You can give numeral value to each

letter of the alphabet by listing each letter and its corresponding number. For example:

A=1

B=2

C=3

D=4

E=5

When you reach number nine, you start back again at one.

I=9

J=1

K=2

And so on.

What Can Numerology Reveal About Your Personality?

Similar to the way astrology can reveal information about your personality and specific traits

pertaining to each individual, the process of reading the numerology of your birthdate

and name can do the same thing.

By adding the numbers of your birthday together, year month and day you can determine your

life path number. By adding the numbers of your given first, middle, and last name(s)

you can determine the numerology of your name and your number. You can find out your number

yourself using the method described here, but upon doing research for this article,

I came across a website that makes this whole process easy for you and you simply type in

your first, middle and last name and it will determine your life path number, and provide

you with a detailed description of what this number represents. This website also provides

you with a �soul urge� number and an �inner dream� number.

Once again, upon doing my own name I was quite blown away by how accurate the information

that was provided was. I felt as though it described certain characteristics of my personality

perfectly! Although I don�t agree with it all, the bulk of it was pretty accurate, and

perhaps I have embodied or will embody these traits in my lifetime.

Here�s a brief summary of the information I was given:

My number is 7. These characteristics include analysis, understanding,

knowledge, and awareness. Good mind, good at searching out and finding

the truth. Very capable of analyzing, judging and discriminating,

little escapes my knowledge and deep understanding. Type of person that can get really involved

in the search for wisdom and hidden truths. Because of a natural inclination towards the

spiritual I may become deeply emerged in religious affairs or psychic explorations.

Perhaps I should warn you that not everything that is said is positive�

Limited degree of trust in people. A tendency to be highly introverted and sometimes

self-centered. Neither show or understand emotions very well.

How To Operate An Forestmachine (w. subs) - Duration: 20:02.

Ok, today we'll say hi Slurfi (who requested this video) because today I'll, visiting Pär Jonsson (bodaedet).

Catch along now to learn how to operate and forestmachine.

Let's start off to say that we are sitting in an Rottne H8, an small harvester made for in-stand thinning of forest.

So this will be an review of how You drive an Rottne harvester.

What do you think Pär, shall we start off with panel down at the radio? What do you control there?

Pär: Leftmost we have the main switch for the battery.

Then we have position light switch.

Then we have switch for the working light in the engine compartment.

After that we have hazard light switch.

The next one the switch for internal refueling. This machine has two diesel tanks and the engine sucks diesel from the second tank and then you refuel the first tank manually.

The next switch is crane off and on (this is not used that often).

Then we have the main switch for the bucking computer.

Do you switch off the computer with this switch when you go home for the day?

Pär: No, I'm only using the main power switch, I guess that is quite common.

Then we have the touchscreen for the bucking computer which is an "Dasa 5".

The bucking computer also have an keyboard that you use when starting an new cutting area.

I do not think that we'll do an deeper review of the bucking computer (it is quite complex).

Moreover we have an ordinary ignition switch to start the diesel engine in the back.

Furthermore you have the control panels for the Webasto pre-heater and cabin climate control (ECC).

The panel on the right then. Pär: first we have the switch for the vacuum pump for the hydralics.

Fredrik: When do you use this? Pär: It is when you need to replace an hydralic hose, to minimize waste of oil.

This is for the windscreen wiper. When this switch is on, the wiper stops in the middle of the windshield.

Yes, and this is called "winter mode" to keep the rubber warm right? Pär Exactly.

Then we have windscreen washer, left, windscreen and right.

Then we have switches for the windscreen wipers and interval knob for the wipers.

Then there's the potentiometer for the differential of the transmission.

When placed att "100" it has 50/50 differential between back and front wheel pair.

For me it is always on "100".

The next switch seems well-used.

This is a safety switch controlled by the door. After the door has been open you need to activate crane and machine with this button.

With this switch you active the transmission, crane and harvester head.

This switch also has an test-mode where all functions can be used at reduced speed and open door.

This function is useful when you must look for hydralic leakage in the harvester head for example.

Emergency Stop, the big red knob.

Beside you have the gear selector for the transmission. The machine has three gears.

Third gear is two-wheel drive only (rabbit) and is only use when transport on public roads.

First gear is fully 4WD and the terrain gear. When working we always run on first gear.

And last we have working light switches. This machine has xenon lights.

And then we have the machine computer, maybe we can have a look at that.

Pär: On the home screen you can monitor the most important parametres.

Hydraulic oil temp, motor temp, diesel quantity, battery voltage, transmission oil temp, transmission oil level.

Before we walk through the mini-levers we maybe can review the cabin floor?

Yes, first we have what I call the break pedal. This pedal stops the feeding of the harvester head at any time.

And with this pedal active you also manually can control the feeding mechanism with on of the mini-levers.

Then we have manual control of the crane tower tilt, up and down. Fredrik: when you want to adjust it manually?

Pär: Yes, it is controlled automatically but sometimes you may need to adjust the angle when harvesting.

Brake pedal; which is never used, it is always full speed ahead!

Then we have the throttle which also controls the speed as with an car with automatic gearbox.

The small pedal on the throttle is fast reverse, when pushed on the machine goes reverse.

Fredrik: Yes, that is a neat function to minimize the use of the hands when handling the machine.

Fredrik: Can you tell us why you don't need to use the brake?

Pär: Yes, as soon as I release the throttle the machine breaks automatic on all four wheels.

Fredrik: Yes, and this is standard in the business nowadays and it's well worth saying that the breaks are heavy duty, when it stops it stops.

Yes, shall we proceed with maybe the most important in the cabin, the palettes.

Pär: Yes, first of we have the joystick for the leveling of the machine. Onwards, front wheels down, backwards, front wheels up.

Sideways tilts the machine in the same direction.

Then we have rear wheels up and down.

This button is the automatic leveler. I never use this but it can come in hand for some.

Here we have the cruise control button that can be used on road, works as CC for cars.

Here is the directional control switches. "D", "N" and "R". As said before I put it in "D" and keep it like that.

Here we have the switches in the front of the mini-levers.

Controlling the harvester head: Tilt up, tilt down, saw, SHIFT, and what do we have here?

Fredrik: Maybe it is pulse controlled opening of the delimbing knifes?

Pär: Yes, that is correct.

SHIFT along with the second button activates Multi Tree Handling in the bucking computer.

And then we have the mini lever on the right side.

Top button is where you choose wood species that are cutted, single press, pine, double tap: spruce, SHIFT + single tap: birch

Second button is assortment, one tap: pulp wood, double tap: decayed spruce. SHIFT + single tap: firewood and SHIFT + double tap, special assortment 3,7 metres.

Third button is timber modules (length) increase or decrease if there are e.g bends on the stem.

If the bucking computer estimates an 49 dm long timber piece and I see an bend at the end I can tap once on the button and the computer chooses the nearest module.

Then we have the stop button. This button stops the harvester head immediately.

If I double tap on this button the harvester head releases the tree and rises up and prepares for a new tree.

The last button starts the automatic bucking process where the computer calculates the best paid sortiment

The computer estimates logs depending on tree diameter and species.

Fredrik: And to start on automatic is de facto standard today.

Pär: Yes, and the auto start I also have via the sequential function in the rocker right here.

When I start with one tap on the lower rocker the harvester head grips the tree.

When I tap the second time the saw cuts the tree down.

If I press a third time the automatic bucking process starts and the harvester head start to delimb and feed the tree.

When the bucking computer has stopped the head at a given length I can press a fourth time and the head cuts the log.

Pär: It's as simple as that!

Fredrik: Yes. And you also have a couple of sliding potentiometers on the palettes.

Pär: Yes, they controls the differential and the transmission speed.

Over here we have a button for constant working RPM on the engine.

Next there is a button for speed-dependent differential and above full-diff (choose the best for you).

When on speed-dependent diff. it diffs the transmission in slow speeds and releases on higher speed.

The full-diff or as we say in Sweden "Norrlandsdiff" uses the preset value the whole range.

Most of the times I use the speed-dependent differential.

Then when we have quick-button for the windshield wiper and rearview camera on and off.

Then I have a button to control the colour marking on the logs.

A single tap sprays red, double tap sprays blue colour. This is manually, the computer also sprays automatically

Timber gets sprayed red and deqayed spruce gets a blue colour. This function is to ease the work for the forwarder who picks up the logs in the forest.

The mini-joystick on the right palette is for the machine stearing. Almost every harvester has articulated steering

And then we have the functions of the mini-levers that controls the crane. They are standard today.

This function on the left mini-lever controls the outer boom, out and in.

Then there is crane slewing, left and right.

And on the left rocker I have the telescopic function of the outer boom.

On the right mini-lever we first have the rotator, slewing left and right.

And then we have lift of the main boom, up and down.

And the rocker on the right side controls the harvester head, close and open delimbing knifes and feed rollers.

Yes, that function is used to actuate the harvester head to the tree being cutted and also sequential function.

Yes, that's how it looks. I don't know waht you're saying Slurfi but this is a piece of cake!

Pär: Absolutely, make a copy of the video and bring it to the harvester.

series they come in a nice Brown block

and once you open it up there you have

which would be like his normal packaging

you would expect so here he looks really

hordak ruthless leader with plaster

blaze all soon and i love the detail

they put into these are adult collector

series but it seems like they're getting

rid of them

I think another company has picked them

up so if you do want to buy these for

Mattel you gotta get a move on because

it will be gone soon

here is some odd details of him if you

want to pause it and read it and here is

some of the other figures from the

series which i'll be reviewing all

together I think about i have about 30

of these now so they are awesome and a

lot of fun

ok guys so here is a buzz saw Hordak and

he does Luke totally also check out this

cool crossbow he has I me almost looks

like it's a dragon got like red eyes and

odd both like comes right out of it

super good quality i really liked them a

stops it from turning 360 degrees so as

you can see they did a great job while

about 90 degrees and his hand turns 360

degrees so move me and detail wise these

guys are awesome i had a lot of the

original ones which I believe we're from

the nineties i like the quality of peace

once a lot more which is saying a lot

because a lot of our newer toid they

don't have the same quality as the older

ones this one is kind of weird because

his chest piece does not look to come

off

probably because it's hollow inside so

his chest plate does not come off all

the other ones they do that he's got

like a tunic or something on here 360

emblems on his boots and then he has a

off from long red claw cloak which is

really cool it like off rubber material

Wow guys super excited today I finally

found the nes New Classic Mini Nes Nintendo / 2 Gamepad Classic Wireless Controllers Unboxing Review

little game system has been sold out

everywhere for like the last what has it

been like four months or whatever and i

also bought two wireless controllers for

which i'll be reviewing also it's the

these are the gamepad classics are these

are both I believe $15 of peace on the

amazon so here is the NES classic

edition and like it says on the front

games included Super Mario donkey kong

metroid pacman Zelda kirby's adventure

so there's 30 classic games that are

included with that let's go ahead and

check it out

yep there's the list ok so i'm going to

go ahead and zoom in on these so if you

want to pause it you can see exactly

what games are included with system so

this is a really awesome system all had

a quick peek at it it is tiny at you've

seen pictures I mean if it's right into

the palm of your hand and here's some

more information on the side panel so

gonna pause that read it

let's go ahead and open it up a little

thing is awesome and there's a lot of

people online who have things so are you

can see what they did to actually hack

it and download games but i believe it

void your warranty so keep that in mind

if you do do it and legally I'm not

what you're going to use to plug it in

cable are this looks about a 6-foot

table and this must be the power adapter

which you could also plug into USB so

you could probably charge this through

your computer or something and then I

let's go ahead and take a look at one of

the wireless controllers

ok then this would be the wireless

controller which looks pretty much

identical to the regular controller and

it comes with a little all wireless like

dongle that you would plug into the

Nintendo here so you just plug this in

and set it off

ample batteries into here which I

believe it's going to use us and they're

double a batteries

I can't get it open right now ok so it

does use to triple-a batteries and here

is the specs on it says wireless

controller allows for comfortable play

over 75 hours of playtime on to triple-a

batteries place from up to 30 feet away

without lag or disconnection so awesome

it sounds really cool i'm going to go

ahead and plug this in and we're going

to check out some of the games

you go ahead and plug in the power cable

back here you plug it into the power to

plug in the hdmi cable plug it into the

monitor

joysticks to go ahead turn the power on

Tag | Rapid Fire Book Tag - Duration: 11:02.

Hi everyone, welcome back. I'm going to

do a tag video today. I don't remember the

last time I did a tag video, I think I might

have only done one since the beginning of my channel.

I just want to do one, I saw Sophie Carlon

do the rapid fire book tag so I will link her

video down below but I believe the original

was created by GirlReading so I'll also

link that video below.

So I've got the questions here on my phone so I'll

just go through them. I think I want to

do a tag but I kind of liked the idea

of this one because it's rapid fire so

you're not supposed to prepare the

answers, you're supposed to just say what you think when

you read the questions. And videos that

involve no preparation are always my

favorite kind.The first question is "e- book

or physical book?" and I think it's pretty obvious,

I'm surrounded by quite a lot of physical books

right now.

I do have a kindle and I do like

reading e-books but I just really enjoy

physical books. I enjoy the feel of them,

I enjoy the experience of reading them,

I enjoy having them on my shelves and looking at them.

I just do so I do buy books on my

kindle and do read them on there but most

of the time I buy physical books.

"Paperback or hardback?" Paperback. I do

have quite a lot of hardbacks now but

I have always hated hardbacks and

actually until maybe two years ago,

I hardly had any and if I could avoid it, I

would not have a hardback. But since

I've got into buying new releases you don't always

have the choice so yeah paperback. "Online or

in-store book shopping?" I would love to

have really good bookshops near me but the

nearest good book is like an hour and a bit

more drive away and there are like no

independent bookshops around me. I think

the nearest one is around 50 miles

away so I would prefer to buy in-store

and I do whenever I can but I

probably buy more online. "Trilogies or

series?" I'm going to go with series because I think

trilogies often suffer with second book

syndrome and the second book sucks. So series but

then there's a lot more books to read and it's difficult

keeping up with the series. "Heroes or villains?"

Villains. Heroes, I think, are boring. I do quite

like an anti-hero but I tend to get more

emotion from a book if I'm hating on

someone. "A book you want everyone to read?"

Ooh I really should have prepared for this. I'm going to go

with Night Waking by Sarah Moss because that

that was my favourite book of last year. Granted, Sarah

Moss does not need any more promotion in

books spheres right now but

I think that is a really good book

and I think it has a lot of themes that can

appeal to a lot of different people so

I will say Nigh Waking. "Recommend an

underrated book" Erm The Garden of

Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng. I don't

think enough people talk about him

as an author and he's brilliant.

"The last book you finished?" Bird Box by Josh Malerman, it was excellent.

I'm going to have to insert all of these books as

like images because I literally didn't

read through these questions until I wassat

right here so it's still next to my bed in

the other room.

"The last book you bought?" I actually

have that one here because I just talked

about it in my January wrap up. That is the

Underground Railroad by Colson

Whitehead. I haven't bought any books

since I bought that in maybe the second week of

January because it's my birthday

coming up,

well it's my birthday tomorrow and I didn't

want to buy a books that someone else might buy me.

"The weirdest thing you've used as a bookmark?" I don't think I've used

any weird things as a bookmark. I read an article

and someone shared on twitter the other day that

was the wierdest things that librarians have

found inside books which I assume were things people used as

bookmarks and left them. An alarming

amount of meat! Like why would you use a piece

of bacon as a bookmark? So I've not used anything as

wierd as that but I did you use this

dinosaur as a bookmark,

sort of. I used his head to prop open Bird Box

yesterday when I needed to go and answer the phone.

So this is the weirdest thing I've used as a bookmark.

"Used books: Yes or no?" Yes! I tend to buy

most of my books new but

I do buy some used especially if I'm not sure if I'll

like it and it's quite expensive to buy new,

I'll buy it second hand. And generally I think

buying books second hand is a great idea.

One of the book shops in my local town

is actually an Oxfam second hand book

shop so I do get books from there sometimes.

"Top three favourite genres?" Erm.....

It's always difficult because literary

fiction makes up a lot of what I

read but it's not a genre as such. I would

say like magical realism/fabulist

fiction, fantasy and children books. I

don't read huge amount of children's books but the ones that I do read,

I tend to really enjoy. "Borrow or buy?" Buy

for me. I don't know anyone that lives even

close to me that has a physical collection of

books that I would be able to borrow from and

and I don't actually use my local library

that much which is quite bad but I do

tend to buy most of my books. "Characters

or plot?" That's really difficult because

it tends to depend on what kind of mood

I'm in. Sometimes I like a slow story

where nothing happens and you get to

really like the characters and the

development of them but if I want

something that's going to take my

attention, is going to keep you turning the

pages that it has to be plot. I constantly

oscillate between the two and obviously a

combination of both is the best but I think

that's kinda cheating. "Long or short books?" Short book?

Oh I don't know! I like short books

because I like that feeling of

completion and of getting through them and

when an author can pack a good

well-rounded story or whatever is they're trying to

accomplished in to a short book format,

I'm always really impressed. But I do really

enjoy really sinking into a long book

but then I feel intimidated by long books

because I feel like they'll take me a long time to read and then I don't read them

as much. So if I had to pick what I read the most,

it would be short books. A few years

ago I was disappointed if a book was

less than a thousand pages because I used

to read just epic fantasy and a lot of the

books I read were very long. So if it was like

less than a thousand pages

I was like quite disappointed but now

probably say short books but a mix of the two.

"Long or short chapters?" Short chapters.

I hate long chapters, sometimes I just

need a marker of like where I'm up to with

reading, it gives me the feeling that I want to

carry on reading. So if you've got a

chapter that's like fifty pages long,

I just get really annoyed. "Name the first three books

you think of" Erm... [stumbles over book name]

King because that's what I'm reading at the moment and..

Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobbs because

that just came to my mind. "Books that make you laugh

or cry?" Books that make me cry. I don't really

like humorous books, I don't mind a bit of humour

but I just, I don't know if sometimes it

just doesn't come across in a written format to

me but I often just sit there like

why iis this supposed to be funny?

Where as if anything is even remotely sad, I will

probably cry. "Our world or fictional

worlds?" That's another difficult one.

Ultimately I'll probably have to say fictional worlds

because I just love the creativity of

people thinking up alternative worlds and

being able to write them in a full and

descriptive way but sometimes books

set in our world have more impact. But

fictional worlds give you more escapism

so I would go with fictional worlds.

"Audiobooks: Yes or no?" Yes. I sometimes read audio

books I haven't been reading or listening to

a lot at the moment because the things I

used to do when I was listening to

audiobooks, I've not had to do as much so

I used to commute a lot and I've not had to do

that as much recently so I've not been listening to them

as much. But generally, I really like having

an alternative format in which to consume

books and it really annoys me when people say that

audiobooks don't count as reading real books.

If somebody else wants to listen to

audiobooks instead of read it, like everyone

consumes media differently so why does it

bother you? I don't know but yes

audiobooks, yes. "Do you ever judge a book by

it's cover?"

Not really, I will always look at what

the story is like but if the book has a

beautiful cover

it might catch my eye and make me

want to look into it more, I do enjoy

really beautiful covers. But ultimately it's

always the story inside that matters. Sorry

if you can hear like noise over there, it's my cat

letting himself into the room. He can

open doors. "Book to movie or book to TV

adaptations?" Book to TV definitely. I don't

really watch a lot of films and I'm always

very interested when I hear people

talking about all the films that they

like and how it compares to the books

they enjoy. But if something's a

TV adaptation, I'll probably watch it but if its

a film I'm likely not to. I also think the

scope for adapting books into TV

series is better whereas if you try to

adapt a book into a film you've got a

quite short timeframe to pack it all into so I

would go for TV adaptation. "A movie or

TV show you preferred to it's book?"

The Hunger Games... is that sacriligeous to say? I quite

liked the films of The hunger Games but I thought

the books were quite forgettable.

I don't hate them but I would watch the films again

again but I probably wouldn't

re-read the book. And the last

question is "Series or standalones?" I'll

probably go for standalones. Again if you'd asked me a

few years ago, I never read standalones, if it was just

a standalone book, I wouldn't have read it

because all of things I read were epic fantasy

series. But now I would probably say

standalones.

That's what I read the most of and I find it

difficult to keep up with a series now because I

read more books and more variety of

different books but I do enjoy being

able to really... I do enjoy that feeling of

being able to get attached to worlds or

characters and stories and being able to follow

them on that you get from series. But I read

a lot more standalones so yeah standalones.

So thosee were all the questions, I don't know how

well I'm answered any of them because I

didn't prepare.

But that was the whole point of the tag so it's

alright... it's ok that I haven't done my homework.

I'm not going to tag anyone specific because I'm crap

at tagging people and I always worry that I'll be

bugging people that don't want to do it or

whatever but if you want to do this
