Looking for the secret to eternal life?

Watch this and find the answer on how you could live forever.

Adwaita was a giant tortoise that lived in Alipore Zoo, Kolkata in India.

The male was captured on an atoll in the Seychelles.

Weighing 550 lb, he lived on a diet of wheat bran, carrots, lettuce, chickpea, bread, grass and salt.

Adwaita died at an estimated age of 255 in March 2006.

The Great Basin bristlecone pine is a tree found in the higher mountains of California, Nevada, and Utah.

The species does best in harsh terrain, where few plants can grow.

One member of this species, 5066 years old, is the oldest known living individual tree on Earth.

An endolith is an organism that lives inside rock down to a depth of 2 miles.

They survive by feeding on traces of iron, potassium, or sulfur.

Most of their energy is spent repairing cell damage, and very little is available for reproduction or growth,

they only engage in cell division once every hundred years.

It is thought that they weather long ice ages in this fashion.

Glass sponges are found in Antarctic and Northern Pacific waters.

They are made of a fused skeleton of four- and six-pointed silica spicules.

These spicules are made of the same material, that is used to make glass.

Pando, an aspen tree, is located in south-central Utah, USA.

All trunks of the forest are connected by a massive underground root system, encompassing 106 acres.

New stems, with an average age of 130 years, grow from this single root.

The whole plant is estimated to weigh 6,600 tons, making it the heaviest known organism.

Pando, also known as the The Trembling Giant is an estimated 80,000 years old.

This small jellyfish is found in the Mediterranean Sea and in the waters of Japan.

It begins life as a larvae which develops from a fertilized egg.

It swims at first, then settles on the sea floor and grows into colony of polyps.

These eventually spawn free-swimming, genetically identical jellyfish.

In response to physical damage or old age, the jellyfish can transform it's cells back into those of a polyp colony.

The colony eventually buds and releases jellyfish that are identical clones to the injured adult.

This process can go on indefinitely, rendering the jellyfish biologically immortal.

This ability is unique in the animal kingdom and has inspired scientists in the field of human stem cell research.

So keep your hopes up, because soon you may be able to live forever.

Job BOT - [SA-MP Hack] - Download - Installation - Duration: 6:12.

Hello and welcome back, today we will do some evill things.

I will present how you can make money in SA-MP without moving any finger

The hack is using your vehicle, you just seat and enjoy how your money is coming.

How you start?

You must enter on tutoriale-pe.net

Select Job BOT

Read the instructions and download it. I already downloaded it - because I made the archive.

Right click and extract it somewhere

It doesn't have any viruses - because some of you told me that I put trojan in the archieve

First step is to install CLEO

Now we will copy the file SAMPFUNCS.asi inside the San Andreas main folder.

Now we copy the file VehicleRecording.cs inside the CLEO folder

Now we enter in the game

I will connect to a random server

I didn't installed SA-MP.. Oh f**k

I installed SA-MP

Don't enter on B-Zone RPG4 because they celebrate 2 or 3 years from opening. I will be upset on you if you do this.

We will enter on some random server recieved on Facebook

See you in the game!

I registered an account yesterday while I was writing the tutorial.

I don't have any idea where I spawned.

I won't do a step-by-step tutorial. We will simulate the trucker job.

Why I can't use [/engine]?

Login.. enter the pin..

They could hide the PIN while you are typing it...

How it works?

We will assume that there is the Trucker start point.

And the destination will be right after the end of the tunnel.

You must record the whole jurney. From here - untill the end of the tunnel - and back here

So we start.. We just move a little bit back. I recommand you to do this.

We press "O"

We see "Recording"

Now we just drive..

We will turn around after the end of the tunnel.

We will stop the recording when we get back at the starting point.

Let's assume that here is your destination checkpoint.

Now we turn around

On the mini-map you will see a white checkpoint - there is your starting point of recording.

I recommand to let some space between the end and the start of the journey.

I will stop the recording

Now, after you finish the recording, you just move a little bit back, and press P for playing the path you just recorded.

And the game will do everything for you.

As you can see, I don't touch the keyboard.

Some tips..

Don't drive backward - because the hack doesn't know to record that.

Another tip is: try to drive as legal as you can. Because if you hit other players, the mod will lose your point and you must resume the journey manually.

Another tip: Don't use [/ad I am using Job BOT]. Don't tell your friends that you are using this hack!

And the last tip is: never use this hack without being in front of your screen.

Because

You are doing repetitive stuff. You are changing the lanes at the same point. You are turning around at the same point.

The idea is that you repeat some habits. And admins can easily notice that.

I will come back after a week with an anticheat for this hack. Because that's the purpose of this project, to improve SA-MP World.

So you have one week to enjoy the hack.

For doing the journey in a loop, without keep pressing the P button

We type [/vehiclerecordingloop]

And now

The game will be in a loop. Without pressing the P key.

That's all

Thank you for your attention

Don't forget. Keep the hack for you!

See you, NEXT TIME!!!

The Real Reason We Don't Hear About Ashanti Anymore - Duration: 4:29.

Ashanti's sweet vocals were ubiquitous in R&B in the early 2000s.

She was first featured on The Fast and Furious soundtrack and on tracks with both Fat Joe

and Ja Rule.

Since then, the New York native has released several successful solo albums.

But where has Ashanti been hiding lately?

The talented songstress has rarely been in the spotlight, and here are a few reasons

we haven't seen much of her.

A grand departure

In 2002, Ashanti released her self-titled debut album on Murder Inc Records and it was

instantly successful.

The label was also home to Ja Rule and a ton of massive hits, so their first R&B signee

was destined for fame with them behind her.

Success happened pretty quickly.

Ashanti debuted at number one on both the Billboard 200 chart and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop

Albums chart, making the singer a full-on superstar, who earned a Guinness World Record

for fast-selling female debut artist.

She went on to release three more albums on Murder Inc, two more of which went platinum.

Things went downhill fast, though, when Murder Inc Records was indicted for its involvement

with money laundering.

Ashanti and the label went their separate ways in 2009.

After leaving Murder Inc, the "Rock Wit You" singer was quiet for six years.

Fans were hungry for new music, but she wouldn't release a new album until 2014.

Building a business

After Ashanti left Murder Inc, she created her own record label.

She launched Written Entertainment in 2011 as a way to become a businesswoman and recreate

her own music career.

In 2014, she dropped Braveheart on her own label.

The album was successful, but she didn't see the success she had on Murder Inc with its

powerhouses backing her.

The fashion game

Ashanti's always been a showstopper but, as of late, she's really found her own style.

Over two million fans follow her on Instagram to see her music, acting career and her fabulous

fashion.

She's not afraid to play with different styles and flaunt her rockin' bod.

She's donned sexy swimsuits, fur-lined stiletto boots, trendy jumpers, "girly tomboy" outfits

and fancy flares.

No matter what she's wearing, Ashanti's fashion is always fierce.

"You know what?

I'm glad you said that because sometimes certain people can't handle the toughness of Ashanti."

Legal hangups

Ashanti has been fighting off an alleged stalker for several years now.

The man accused of harassing the singer was first convicted in 2009, and in 2013, he was

again arrested for violating strict orders to not contact the singer.

Since then, Ashanti has been in and out of court, attempting to get the longtime stalker

to leave her alone.

"It's not fun, you know?

It's a little kooky and it's very annoying to continue to take off from what I have to

do with work and court and stuff.

He was sentenced to four years of prison in 2016, so hopefully it's the last she'll have

to deal with the man who's made her life such a nightmare in recent years.

Tour de force

Ashanti and Ja Rule once again joined forces for an epic 2016.

The pair embarked on a co-headlining tour after selling out their own spring dates.

Together they hit 11 cities including New York City, Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa and

Philadelphia.

After their tour ended, Ashanti continued her own tour schedule, with 2017 booked up

with stops ranging from California to Germany.

Even when she's not performing overseas, though, Ashanti is earning stamps on her passport.

She loves sharing photos of her travels with fans, whether she's riding a WaveRunner in

the Bahamas or splashing in the waves in the Dominican Republic.

She's even kissed a dolphin and carved her name on a rock in Jamaica.

The "Happy" singer always travels in style whether it's by helicopter or private plane

and, regardless of the adventure, Ashanti is sure to give you travel fever.

Speaking of her extracurricular interests...

Dabbling

Although most people know Ashanti for her standout vocals, she's also a talented actress.

She's been a film and TV actress for over a decade, with roles in small screen series

like Army Wives and films like Coach Carter.

Ashanti has also been an entrepreneur, creating her own fragrance called Precious Jewel and

a vitamin brand.

Talk about your healthy side-business.

New music

One of the reasons we haven't heard from Ashanti is a really good one.

The singer has been working in Los Angeles, recording new music and collaborations, with

over a dozen songs already recorded.

"Super excited about it.

Like I've got big dogs on there."

She told Billboard, "I'm probably in love with about six or seven of them, like in love

in love.

I'm working with different people, different sounds, different things on this album, just

kind of going places I haven't gone before."

Considering all the places she's jet-setted to before, we're obviously in for a real treat

when she does reemerge victorious.

What You Don't Know About The Experts On Pawn Stars - Duration: 11:31.

Because most reality TV shows are about as authentic as a three dollar bill, lots of

these series will often bring in experts on various subjects to boost their credibility.

History Channel's Pawn Stars often makes use of specialists who themselves have become

quite famous thanks to frequent appearances.

These men and women can help determine whether a big ticket item is the real deal or just

a piece of junk.

But who are they really?

Here's a look at what you don't know about the 'experts' on Pawn Stars.

Bob Yuhas

An antiques restorer who first appeared on Pawn Stars during Season 8, Bob Yuhas specializes

in "restoring, repairing and the conservation of antiques."

In his own words, he can make "old things look new and new things look old."

Yuhas' restoration abilities are no joke, although his line delivery could use a little

work —

"This safe was built 140 years ago with old world craftsmanship."

— which is odd, because in addition to Yuhas' work with antiques, he's also an actor.

If you're a fan of the Food Network reality series Mystery Diners, he might look familiar.

He appeared in an episode titled "Night Shift" as the buddy of a late-night bartender that

was supposedly undermining his unsuspecting boss.

We say "supposedly" because as Radar Online reveals, the show was busted for fakery.

With Pawn Stars dodging its own accusations of staging, Bob Yuhas' addition to the series'

list of experts feels somewhat ironic.

Bill Tsagrinos

Specializing in collecting and restoring classic vehicles, Bill Tsagrinos runs The Underground

Garage, where he fixes up awesome rides like his signature 1967 Volkswagen Bus.

Before Tsagrinos appeared on Pawn Stars, his love of cars played out on the Bill Goldberg-hosted

reality TV show known as Bullrun, where he and his brother George successfully auditioned

to appear during the second season.

The brothers raced their 1967 Volkswagen bus against 11 other teams.

Sadly, they didn't win.

While Pawn Stars fans know Tsagrinos primarily for his love and knowledge about old cars,

there's another industry for which he's known: tiles.

Tsagrinos founded T Brothers Tile, a company "specializing in tile, granite, laminate,

wood, carpet, window coverings, and water jet cutting services."

The company claims they've installed more than 26 million square feet of tile — enough

to cover just over 450 football fields.

Dr. Phineas T. Kastle

One can't help but instantly become a fan of the charmingly eccentric Dr. Phineas T.

Kastle, better known as "Doc Phineas."

When the guys at Pawn Stars have no idea whether an item is authentic or even what the heck

it is, Phineas is the expert they bring in to figure it out.

In addition to his vast knowledge of antiques, Doc Phineas is a huge steampunk fan, so much

so that he helped produce the Las Vegas-based Steamathon, a weekend-long celebration of

all things steampunk.

Although known as "Doc" Phineas, he could technically change his name to professor.

According to Phineas, he's taught college classes for over 45 years.

Docs Phineas is also an actor, singer, and he's known to dance every now and then too.

Rock, on, doc!

Sean Rich

The owner of Tortuga Trading, Sean Rich is an "antique arms and armor specialist" as

well as an expert on shipwreck treasure.

This may be why Disney turned to Rich when filming Pirates of the Caribbean.

He was generous enough to lease and sell items for the making of the second and third movie,

and he also provided props for AMC's American Revolution-based drama Turn.

Rich appeared on Pawn Stars series in 2011, but then walked away because, according to

Rich, both the Pawn Stars producers and the History Channel required an "exclusive contract."

Rich said, "[The contract would] lock me down, control me, my business, future, my appearance,

how I make a living to provide for my family."

In 2013, Rich opted to hop over to National Geographic to host and star in the series

Lords of War.

The History Channel must have come around eventually, because he returned to Pawn Stars

in 2014.

Jesse Amoroso

Pawn Stars' vintage musical instrument and amplifier specialist, Jesse Amoroso happens

to own the famous Cowtown Guitars.

Amoroso and his wife Roxie, who also appears at Cowtown, were known locally for their "sleaze-rock

band" Pigasus before buying Cowtown in 2011.

Fun fact: Cowtown was actually founded in 1990 by Bob Seger touring guitarist Mark Chatfield.

Cowtown has thrived under the ownership of Amoroso, thanks in part to the celebrity he's

gained as a frequently featured expert on Pawn Stars.

The boom in business might be why Amoroso ultimately decided to relocate — he's now

"within walking distance of the legendary Gold & Silver Pawn."

Through Cowtown, Amoroso happens to own "one of the largest collections of vintage instruments

in North America."

For a true music lover, it doesn't get much better than that.

Jeremy Brown

It seems pretty common for Pawn Stars experts to relocate their businesses to be closer

to the Gold & Silver Pawn.

Jeremy Brown, the show's go-to sports memorabilia guy, moved his Ultimate Sport Cards & Memorabilia

business in 2012.

Brown's business was doing pretty well for itself before he made the big move, but he's

said he wanted to "fully embrace the opportunity that the show has provided and be near other

fellow experts."

Brown said that his life as a sports memorabilia expert began with an addiction to collecting

baseball cards.

According to Sports Collectors Daily, Brown feels working with Pawn Stars is "an absolute

blessing" as the show allows him to share his love of sports memorabilia "with millions

of people."

Steve Grad

A Professional Sports Authenticator who appeared on Pawn Stars between 2013 and 2014, Steve

Grad got caught up in some embarrassing controversies that make it very unlikely he'll reappear

on the show anytime soon.

The trouble started when Grad found himself at the center of a 2011 lawsuit.

Apparently, his company has tried to pass off a signature as belonging to famed aviator

Charles Lindbergh.

Lindbergh's own daughter came forward with an expert and successfully challenged the

claim.

It turned out that Grad's "expert opinion" had cost collectors hundreds of thousands

of dollars after he allegedly approved scores of forgeries as legitimate.

And it gets worse: despite heavily implying that he'd been educated at the prestigious

Columbia School of Journalism, further research determined that Grad had actually attended

Columbia College Chicago instead, and he never even graduated.

In fact, during a court-ordered deposition, he'd revealed he'd received no formal training

of any kind to back up his "expert" label.

He instead credits much of what he knows to being mentored by the "King of Memorabilia"

Bill Mastro — a man who landed in prison after being busted for various acts of fraud.

Mark Hall-Patton

Unlike fraud Steve Grad, Mark Hall-Patton was recognized by the Los Angeles Times as

"the real deal."

Hall-Patton is the museum administrator for the Clark County Museum system.

Although nicknamed "The Beard of Knowledge," he readily admits that if he doesn't know

something, he's always ready to perform detailed research.

Most of us would turn to Google, but Hall-Patton can also pull facts from his personal library

of over 20,000 books.

He's appeared on close to 100 episodes of Pawn Stars, making him one of the show's better-known

experts.

His wife, Dr. Colleen Hall-Patton, wrote a Celebrity Studies article on her husband's

sudden fame, and he even has a group of fanboys in the Washington State Penitentiary.

And sometimes, for fun, he pretends to be zombie.

No, really.

"Ha, I can't keep it up."

Stuart Lutz

Appearing on Pawn Stars during its eighth season, Stuart Lutz authenticates "historic

documents, manuscripts and letters," and he's also one of the few experts to be granted

a seal of approval by the Appraisers Association of America "in the field on Books and Manuscripts:

Historic Documents."

Lutz has an online catalog of historic documents, autographs, letters, and manuscripts, and

also owns one of just three authentic castings of President Eisenhower's hands, something

that's either really awesome or really creepy.

We can't quite decide.

Lutz wrote The Last Leaf, a book about the last known survivors to witness major historical

events or interact with now deceased celebrities.

That's…kind of morbid.

Brett Maly

A fine art appraiser who appeared on Pawn Stars between 2010 and 2014, Brett Maly also

earned a bit of celebrity for his 2011 appraisal of an authentic Andy Warhol sketch, which

was purchased for just $5 at a garage sale.

Not content to leave the fine art world to the rich, Maly published a 2014 book called

The Pocket Picker: For Fine Art, which features a foreword penned by Pawn Stars' Rick Harrison.

The book is meant to help the average person procure and profit from fine art…and avoid

selling off rare art that they happen to own for a meager $5.

Interestingly, long before his current highbrow occupation, Maly worked as a DJ for KOOL 105.5

in Florida, where he was often responsible for radio voiceovers and board operations.

So…that's pretty random!

Rebecca Romney

The only female expert featured on Pawn Stars, bibliophile Rebecca Romney's expertise is

"rare and antiquarian books and documents.

But there's a bit more to her than dusty old texts: in addition to English, she speaks

French and Japanese fluently, and can actually read six languages, including Latin, Ancient

Greek, and Old English.

And, in case you're not impressed by that, Old English actually looks and sounds like

this:

She also hosted a Reddit "ask me anything" in 2014, during which she admitted to going

on double dates with Pawn Stars' Rick Harrison.

And she once brought filming on the Pawn Stars set to a halt because a rare book wasn't being

handled properly.

Now that's a bibliophile.

Murray Sawchuck

Better known as "Magic Murray," Murray Sawchuck is easily distinguishable from the other experts

thanks to his spiky, bleach-blond hairstyle.

The celebrity magician and funnyman is called upon from time to time to give his expert

opinion on all sorts of "magical items."

The self-proclaimed "Dennis the Menace of Magic" is no stranger to the reality TV show

circuit.

He also made appearances on both America's Got Talent and the reality dating series Blind

Date, which detailed his magical search for love.

"Hello."

"Hey, how you doing?"

"How are you?"

Although things didn't work out with Georgia, Magic Murray did find eventually love with

Britain's Got Talent performer Chloe Crawford, and the couple were married in 2012.

Sadly, a few years later, Crawford dumped him for rival illusionist Criss Angel.

Harsh.

Well, they say what goes around comes around, and Crawford was reportedly dumped by Angel

less than a year after she left Sawchuck.

Looks like these magicians know how to make a relationship disappear.

Matthew C. Shortal

He claims to be an expert on all things military and aviation — and Matthew C. Shortal definitely

has the résumé to back it up.

Not only did he achieve the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marines, Shortal

is also a former U.S. Navy Blue Angel Pilot and an honest-to-goodness graduate of the

elite TOPGUN program.

Additionally, Shortal is an avid triathlon competitor, and has competed in Ironman 70.3

as part of a team.

Sounds like he feels the need…for speed.

"I feel the need...the need for speed!

Ow!"

Yunyi: I'm waiting for the hemiola to come back

Hugo: Is it me or does it look cold as f*** where they are

Gwen: Oh I'm sure it looks freezing

Lindsey: I feel like it would be just so, nice and liberating feeling to just be standing out in

peyton: save mehh

Yunyi: There it is

Kevin: Oh yeah, dun dun dun dun

Peyton: Oh double time

Yunyi: Oh ironing man who has wrinkles

That part in fire where he's ironing the man, wow it makes sense

Jarod: Oh that contrast that's like intense and just stops

Herny: So these lyrics make perfect sense and they're poetic!

(Yas HuGwen singing)

Kevin: Oh that's it

That's not a one

hugo: ...

Yunyi: That was a one

Hugo: I wanted there to be more

Hugo: I wanted there to be more Gwen: Boy meets

Kevin: Duh dun duun

Kevin: Yeah no it's a major. Yes it is Yunyi: No it's not

Kevin: Let's go back

weRE GNA GO BACK

Kevin: I feel like- I know I know

Because the d flat comes first, the b minor sounds like

that sounds like the real I

Kevin: Like that doesn't sound like a real I that just sounds inconclusive Yunyi: No

Yunyi: No

Kevin: That sounds like one those Chinese pieces that ends all like

Yunyi: It sounds inconclusive because it landed on the third

of the minor i, ok

Kevin: No no it's not because of that

yunyi: it's in minor!!!

kevin: maybe we hear it differently!

kevin: CAT FIGHT

Yunyi: theory is tearing us apart :')

Hugo: That was really cool

And their vocal lines are soo good

Hugo: They have really good control over their vocal abilities

Gwen: Yeah they do they like-

Hugo: They know how to riff, they know how to sing in high

oh manh

The androgynous singer in

Gwen: Omg yeah yeah yeah

Hugo: Very good

Gwen: I'm so into their faces

Hugo: I'm so into... /them/

Jarod: That was cool

it's about like-

I really dug the dancing

I feel inspired

Kevin: The intro was the best part

Umu: Ok

Kevin: But the best part is the *dances*

Yunyi: It's a minor (I thought we moved on from that XD)

Umu: That''s the rap part

Yunyi: Yeah I'm not taking anyone's opinion, it's in minor

Yunyi: Definitive minor for me Kevin: Ok, man she's still going on about

Yup it's in minor

Umu: Ok

So you're agreeing with her

Kevin: Yes

Yunyi: Yeah

Kevin: Until the camera

Fiona: I like the ticking of the clock it makes you feel nervous

like oh something's gonna run out of time and I'm gonna die

I don't know, like acoustically it was really cool

sounds were awesome

I liked that it wasn't too thick of orchestration

I like the twinkly little dljdldj, the electronic gock block

Henry: The half step motion was like wwahhhwooahh at the end of the thingy and I was like Oh whaat

Yunyi: I think it's really interesting how BTS' songs are really divided into like, half of their songs seem to be like

I'm young or like I'm the best and look at me you can't do things better than I do, anarchy, fire, dope, whatever

and then the other half is like save me, I need your love,

This sort of, almost kinda by watching this is like a cry for help

From my standpoint. Not as in the members need help, but like the roles that they're playing

Is showing this extremely vulnerable side

I thought that was

Umu: That's beautiful

Yunyi: That's a really cool thing to their stuff. It's very divisive in that sense

I do really appreciate how chummy they are and how not intimate in the relationship sense, but how intimate they are with each other

How they have a lot of hugging

and I say gay becuase I just really want it to happen (SAME ME TOO)

but I really appreciate that

I really appreciate how it sort of deconstructs expectations for masculinity

In that sense and they're just you know, a really great group of friends and they're not afraid to show it

Yunyi: Yeah, good for them Kevin: Good stuff, I agree I totally agree

Yunyi: It's refreshing you know

Hugo: It's so hard to choose because I really like their music, but I really like some of the other groups we've seen too

It's hard to tell mmmmm

I don't know I can't claim favorites yet

Gwen: I don't know I kind of agree

Hugo: But they're definitely up there don't get me wrong they're like way f***ing up there Gwen: Oh yeah

Hugo: Ok well this has been your evening report, your reaction for BTS. Thank you adn we'll see you next time on HTDTV with Gwen and Hugo

Hugo: Have a good rest of your night Gwen: HTDTV

Hugo: Shhhhhhh

Most Gruesome Torture Methods in History (Part 2) - Duration: 10:02.

From extreme physical pain to severe psychological trauma, here are more of the most gruesome

torture methods in history.

Number 8: The Scold's Bridle Also known as a brank's Bridle or simply

branks, the scold's bridle was used as a method of torture and public humiliation in

Germany, Wales, Scotland, and England from the middle of the 16th century and up until

the 19th century.

It was a form of punishment used on women that were considered to be guilty of riotous

or troublesome speech.

It was also used on women who scolded too often or were considered to be rude, malicious

gossipers or nags.

First used in Scotland, in 1567, the branks were placed on the victim's head and featured

a gag with a spike inside of it so that any movement of the victim's mouth would cause

the tongue to be severely pierced.

The contraption commonly resembled either a mask or a horse's bridle which was then

strapped to the victim's head.

Other branks featured adjustable gags with sharp edges that were also meant to prevent

any sort of mouth movement.

While wearing the branks the woman could neither speak nor eat.

Afterwards, the victims were taken around the town so that everyone might see that they

were guilty of scolding too often or of speaking in a manner that did not agree with the public

interest.

The branks were also placed on those suspected of witchcraft, and even though women were

the main victims, there have been records of their use on men as well.

It was intended as a form of mirror-punishment meant to make the victims regret and repent

for their actions.

The purpose behind the public humiliation of the victims was to deter others from doing

the same.

Number 7: The Pear of Anguish The Pear of Anguish or the 'Choke Pear'

was a torture instrument that featured a metallic pear-shaped body which, at the turn of a screw,

would expand into three or four leaf-like segments.

Its use as a gag was documented by several literary works of the 17th and late 19th century.

In a 1639 work, writer F. de Calvi attributed the contraption's invention to a robber

called Capitaine Gaucherou de Palioly who reportedly used it to silence a rich Parisian

while he and his accomplices robbed his house.

Brewer's dictionary of Phrase and Fable, published in 1898 claimed that "robbers

in Holland at one time made use of a piece of iron in the shape of a pear, which they

forced into the mouth of their victim.

On turning a key, a number of springs thrust forth points of iron in all directions, so

that the instrument of torture could never be taken out except by means of the key."

There have been speculations of its more gruesome use to punish homosexuals, adulterers, heretics

and blasphemers.

The pear was inserted in the victim's orifices, the vagina for women and the anus for men

and then expanded to cause pain by tearing through the skin.

Although it would rarely caused death it is believed that it would often be followed by

other torture methods.

This use, however, belongs to the realm of speculation and has not been documented by

official works.

Number 6: The Swedish Drink This form of torture got its name during the

Thirty Years' War.

Its initial German name was 'Schwedentrunk' and it was first used to describe something

that Swedish troops would do to their German victims.

It involved strapping someone down, placing a funnel in their mouth and forcing them to

ingest a large amount of foul liquid such as wastewater, urine, excrement, liquid manure

and others , hence the name 'Swedish Drink'.

Once a victim's bowels would expand to painful proportions, the torturers would squeeze or

trample their bellies using wooden boards causing them to experience intense pain.

Variations included the use of boiling liquid or beating the victim beforehand.

The purposes for applying the Swedish Drink varied.

It was used to force town citizens or peasants to deliver their food, hidden money or animals

to the hands of the torturers or, sometimes, even to extort sex from women.

The victim would experience severe gastric pain and disgust but also faced the possibility

of illness or that of developing a bacterial infection.

Number 5: The Spanish Tickler The Spanish Tickler and The Cat's Paw were

similar torture instruments that consisted of three or four long iron spikes which were

curved and sharpened so that they resembled an animal's claws.

The spikes were commonly attached to a long pole or simply used as an extension of the

tormentor's hand.

Even though it is believed that it first originated in Spain during the Spanish Inquisition, this

instrument was widely used throughout Europe during medieval times.

Once the victims were stripped of their clothes and suspended by their wrists, the torturer

would use The Spanish Tickler to tear away the flesh from their backs, chests, limbs

and faces.

The device was so sharp that it quickly cut through the fat, tendon and muscle layers,

reaching the bone.

This form of corporal punishment was commonly applied to adulterers or thieves and was sometimes

carried out in public.

Those who did not bleed to death would often develop deadly infections mainly due to the

depth of their cuts and the unsanitary conditions in which the punishment was carried out.

Number 4: The Breast Ripper Also known as the iron Spider or simply The

Spider, The Breast Ripper was a torture instrument that was designed to rip out a woman's breasts.

It had four claws made out of iron which were heated and then fixed on the breasts.

The instrument would be then used to slowly burn through the flesh and tear away the tissue

until the breasts were removed completely.

Most of the women that went through this gruesome form of torture were accused of adultery,

blasphemy, carrying out their own miscarriages, heresy or witchcraft.

In some cases it was also used as an interrogation tool.

The women that did not die during the extremely painful procedure would be left with horrible,

disfiguring scars.

Historians have discovered that The Breast Ripper was first used in Bavaria, Germany,

at some point in 1599.

The instrument was used in France and Germany until the nineteenth century and the punishment

was often carried out in front of the victim's children.

Number 3: Crocodile Shears Although there have not been many documented

uses of the crocodile shears, it is suspected that they were used to mutilate men who were

believed to have played a role in assassination attempts on the king.

The contraption resembled a tube with two iron-clad sides that also featured rows of

spikes resembling a crocodile's teeth.

The shears were placed in a fire until they became red hot and were used to cut off a

man's fingers or, in most cases, his penis.

Although it was intended as a means of torture rather than an execution method, death became

a possibility due to the arterial damage and the massive blood loss that would ensue.

Number 2: Water Torture Water torture involved restraining the victim

as cold or warm water was slowly dripped on their forehead.

The process continued for hours and even days.

Before long the victim's mental state would become compromised.

Unable to move they sat in anticipation of the next drop until it became unbearable.

Before long they would feel as if each drop burrowed into their skull creating a hollow.

The torture procedure was often carried out before a crowd who watched as the victims

were driven insane to the point where they begged for death.

The exact origins of water torture are unclear.

It is commonly referred to as 'Chinese water torture' even though there have not been

any discoveries linking it to Chinese history or culture.

Some credit Hippolytus de Marsiliis, a 15th century doctor and lawyer, with the invention

of a form of water torture.

After observing how water that was gradually dropped would create hollows in stone, he

questioned what the same process would do to the human body.

The result was a psychologically wrecking form of torture.

Number 1: Scourging Scourging was among the worst torture methods

in history.

It involved striking a person with a whip called a scourge which featured several thongs

fastened to a solid handle.

The thongs were often made of leather or thick ropes with knots at their ends.

Scourging victims were often whipped on their backs until the skin broke open.

The purpose was not only punishment through extreme pain but also humiliation.

Scourging someone was commonly done in public and meant beating them to the point where

they were not longer seen as human.

Its first use dates back to Ancient times.

The Egyptian god Osiris and several pharaohs were often depicted holding a scourge as a

symbol of domination and power.

In Ancient Rome scourging was called verberatio which may be translated as striking or beating.

The whip used to apply this type of corporal punishment had the Latin name of flagrum or

flagellum.

The thongs were often equipped with pieces of hard material such as bone or metal in

order to inflict as much damage on the human flesh as possible.

In Roman times scourging was considered to be so demeaning and degrading that, according

to some historians, Roman citizens were exempted from it.

Many of the victims were beaten until they approached the point of death.

Historian Eusebius of Caesarea described what would happen to scourging victims before the

eyes of a crowd "For they say that the bystanders were struck with amazement when they saw them

lacerated with scourges even to the innermost veins and arteries, so that the hidden inward

parts of the body, both their bowels and their members, were exposed to view."

Roman law dictated that before a capital punishment was carried out the condemned were also to

be scourged.

According to Christian biblical canon Roman governor Pontius Pilate had Jesus Christ scourged

before his crucifixion.

Soldiers used flagellums to hit Christ repeatedly until deep lacerations started to form all

over his body.

Each lash tore off pieces of skin and flesh causing blood to gush out.

As the whip bit into his muscle and tendon layers, blood vessels were damaged causing

massive blood loss.

He was then given a mock robe and a sharp crown of thorns was forced on his head.

The crown punctured the skin and, as the hours of his torment went on, it pressed on the

major nerves in his head causing severe pain.

According to Scripture, Pilate was reluctant about sentencing Christ to capital punishment.

It is believed that Pilate hoped to quell the raging mob's bloodlust by humiliating

Christ so that he would not have to send him to die on the cross.

However, the mob demanded Christ's death and thus he was ultimately crucified.

US.

AUBRY: ACCORDING TO A SURVEY BY

CAREERBUILDER, 34% OF COLLEAGUES

THAT DATED ENDED UP MARRYING.

BUT AS LEGAL EXPERT MICHELLE

ANDERSON TELLS US, MANY

EMPLOYERS HAVE STRUGGLED IN

DEALING WITH RELATIONSHIP ISSUES

SPILLING OVER INTO THE

WORKPLAC

WE APPRECIATE YOU STOPPING BY.

THIS IS AN INTERESTING TOPIC.

LET'S TALK ABOUT FIRST, WHAT ARE

SOME OF THE DO'S AND DON'TS?

MICHELLE: IF YOU CAN AVOID

DATING IN THE WORKPLACE, THAT IS

BEST, BUT IT SHOULD NOT BE

CASUAL DATING BECAUSE IF YOU

THINK ABOUT MOST CASUAL

RELATIONSHIPS CAN END BADLY.

YOU DON'T WANT THAT PLAYING OUT

IN THE WORKPLACE.

YOU ALSO WANT TO KNOW, DOES YOUR

EMPLOYER HAVE A POLICY AGAINST

DATING IN THE WORKPLACE?

I ADVISE EMPLOYERS TO HAVE A

WRITTEN POLICY, BUT THERE MIGHT

BE SOMETHING THAT SAYS

SUPERVISORS AND SUBORDINATES

CANNOT DATE BECAUSE THAT CAN BE

A RECIPE FOR DISASTER AND COULD

LEAD TO A SEXUAL HARASSMENT

CLAIM.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE DATING IN

THE WORKPLACE, YOU SHOULD KNOW

WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE SENDING

INAPPROPRIATE TEXT MESSAGES OR

EMAILS TO ONE ANOTHER, WE ARE

NOT GOING TO BE CANOODLING AT

THE DESK.

PEOPLE SHOULD NOT KNOW YOU ARE

IN A RELATIONSHIP, AND IF IT

ENDS, THEN WE WILL ACT LIKE

ADULTS AND NOT HAVE DRAMA IN THE

WORKPLACE.

AUBRY: ONCE SOMEONE DOES START

HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH A

COWORKER, IS THERE SOMETHING

THEY NEED TO IMMEDIATELY DO?

DO THEY NEED TO ALERT THEIR

COWORKER?

-- THEIR EMPLOYER?

MICHELLE: THEY MAY HAVE TO

INFORM AHR SPECIALIST OR HAVE TO

ENTER INTO A WHAT A -- WHAT WE

CALL IT LOVE CONTRACT, FOR LACK

OF A BETTER DESCRIPTION, BUT

BASICALLY IT SAYS THIS

RELATIONSHIP IS CONSENSUAL AND

IT IS NOT A VIOLATION OF OUR

SEXUAL HARASSMENT POLICY AND WE

AGREE TO KEEP OUR RELATIONSHIP

OUT OF THE WORKPLACE AND KEEP

AND PROFESSIONAL AT WORK AND

SHOULD IT END, WE AGREE NOT TO

ATTACK -- RETALIATE AGAINST EACH

OTHER IN THE WORKPLACE.

IT IS SIGNIFICANT TO DECIDE TO

GET INTO A RELATIONSHIP WITH

SOMEONE IN YOUR WORKPLACE, AND

SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LICENSE --

LATELY, BUT I HAVE SEEN SOME

WORKPLACE RELATIONSHIPS WORK OUT

, SO IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

YOU HAVE TO GO INTO IT WITH YOUR

EYES OPEN AND WE OFTEN SEE THESE

PROBLEMS PLAY OUT IN WORKPLACES

THAT HAVE A LOT OF YOUNGER,

SINGLE FOLKS.

THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY,

TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY, FINANCIAL

INDUSTRY.

EMPLOYERS IN THOSE INDUSTRIES

REALLY HAVE TO BE CLEAR ABOUT

THEIR EXPECTATIONS, BECAUSE A

LOT OF THOSE FOLKS HAVE NEVER

EVEN HAD A PROFESSIONAL JOB,

BEFORE SO THEY ARE LEARNING WHAT

IS APPROPRIATE.

AUBRY: IT CAN ACTUALLY END UP IN

A MARRIAGE AND A GREAT LIFE, BUT

YOU HAVE TO BE SMART.

WE APPRECIATE YOU STOPPING BY.

THE WAY MOST COWORKERS AND UP

TOGETHER ARE LATE NIGHTS ON THE

JOB, HAPPY HOURS AFTER WORK,

LUNCH AND MEETINGS OUTSIDE OF

How Taylor Swift Makes Sure Her Music Never Leaks | Splash News TV - Duration: 1:16.

Notice how you've never heard a Taylor Swift song unless the singer has officially released

it herself?

Well it turns out T-Swift could have had an alternative career in the CIA or something,

because she takes extreme measures to make sure her new sounds are never within the wrong

ears, or in the wrong hands.

Her buddy Ed Sheeran tells Just Jared that she never sends him new songs.

He reportedly says, "She would never send new songs, no…

I hear them but it has to be with her."

Considering T-Swift collaborates with others who are not always nearby, she goes the extra

mile to insure the package is delivered safely.

Sheeran says, "I remember when I did a song with her for her album, I was in San Francisco,

and they sent someone with a locked briefcase with an iPad and one song on it, and they

flew to San Francisco, and played the song I've done with her…

They asked if I like it and I was like, 'yeah,' and then they took it back…

That's how I hear it."

That's a lot of time, effort and money to "send" a music file, but hey…

That's why Taylor remains unhacked and out of

the cloud.

Top 10 best cities to visit in 2017 | Lonely Planet - Duration: 11:45.

Top 10 best cities to visit in 2017, according to Lonely Planet.

The world is a pretty big place, so we can't blame you for being indecisive.

Lonely Planet, a go-to resource for travelers for over 40 years, just released its new book,

"Best in Travel 2017." In it, the guidebook gurus outline the world's

hottest trends, destinations, and experiences for next year, all based on their team of

writers and experts. Here are their picks for the top 10 cities

to travel to next year.

1: Bordeaux, France.

They used to call her the 'Sleeping Beauty', but – though she's hit the snooze button

a few times – Bordeaux is now wide awake and ready for action. The new LGV Sud-Ouest

line, due for completion in mid- 2017, connects the city with Europe's high- speed train

network and cuts travel time from Paris to just two hours. Its timing is perfect. The

recently opened Cité du Vin continues the impressive redevelopment of the Garonne riverfront

with a state-of-the-art wine-lovers' experience, and the city's gastronomic revolution keeps

building on its own success. She's going to skip breakfast: all aboard for Bordeaux'

grande bouffe!

2: Cape Town, South Africa.

Cape Town's deceptively laid-back folk have been working hard to add cultural and culinary

cred to the Mother City's famous natural charms, cementing its reputation as an African

city with a global outlook. Local gastronomy is as impressive as Table Mountain's flat-topped

mass, with historic wine estates in every direction, hip markets selling the fruits

of the Cape's fertile terrain, and inventive restaurants winning global plaudits. The art

and design scene will be given a boost in September by the opening of the Zeitz Museum

of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA), the world's largest museum of contemporary African art

and a post-industrial architectural marvel occupying a century-old grain silo.

3: Los Angeles, USA.

Despite its reputation as a land of celebrities,

health fanatics and all-around superficiality, LA has been gaining steam as a cultural destination

while becoming more accessible than ever. The 2016 Metro expansion has made getting

from Downtown to Santa Monica and everywhere in between much easier; city initiative Car

Free LA helps tourists navigate without wheels; and almost 50 new hotels are in the works.

This isn't just a beach town, either; it's a commerce capital, where movie producers

and finance types mingle over sashimi and kale salads. East Coasters are moving here

in droves for the sunshine and a more sustainable lifestyle.

4: Merida, Mexico.

Mérida's cultural offering is like no

other on the Yucatán Peninsula (sorry, Cancún, you've got pretty beaches, but party culture

doesn't count). On any given day you'll find a dizzying array of live music, art shows

and dance performances, and the booming culinary scene is hotter than a Habanero pepper. This

year Mérida has been designated the American Capital of Culture, meaning visitors can expect

a ginormous cultural extravaganza as organisers stage a series of large-scale events throughout

2017. And here's the kicker: the so-called White City ranks among the safest places in

Mexico nowadays.

5: Ohrid, Macedonia.

Overlooking the extraordinarily blue waters of its eponymous lake, Ohrid enjoys a stunning

position that is best viewed from a boat. From the water you'll see the town's terracotta

roofs broken up by centuries-old church spires (the city claims once to have had 365) and

overlooked by the turreted walls of Car Samoil's Castle. Ohrid has transformed itself from

Macedonia's religious centre to its busiest holiday resort, and its beaches are the best

by far in this otherwise landlocked nation. However, a planned new lake-shore development

will likely change this sleepy town forever, making now a great time to go.

6: Pistoia, Italy.

People sometimes refer to Pistoia as 'little

Florence' for its concentration of art and architecture. And yet, despite its charms,

this Tuscan town sees just a fraction of Florence's tourists. That's set to change in 2017,

when the city will take its turn as Italy's Capital of Culture. Pistoia earned the title

in recognition of its impressive cultural credentials and devotion to grass-roots ideas

and local entrepreneurship. In return, the award offers the city an opportunity to showcase

an alternative side to Tuscany: one that eschews grand-slam sights in favour of thriving small

towns full of personality and dynamic, living culture.

7: Seoul, South Korea.

For over a decade Seoul has been striving

to become a greener, more attractive and user-friendly metropolis. Following on from successful projects

such as the Cheonggyecheon, where an aging elevated highway was torn down and replaced

with a central park and waterway, the city will unveil in the latter part of 2017 the

Seoul Skygarden. This time, the old highway in question – a 938m-long, 17m-tall overpass

next to transport hub Seoul Station – will become the platform on which trees, shrubs

and flowers will be planted to create an arboretum of local species.

8: Lisbon, Portugal.

It's got sights, culture and cuisine, yet

Lisbon's rarely mentioned alongside southern European heavyweights such as Barcelona or

Rome. If this mystifying lack of recognition is what helps the Portuguese capital remain

a bargain, long may it continue. Add the weakness of the euro, and the city looks like an unbeatable

deal. Should you need more persuasion, though, consider the museums: from Egyptian artefacts

at Museu Calouste Gulbenkian to pop art at Museu Colecção Berardo, Lisbon groans

with them, but the appetite appears unsated: a museum devoted to the history of Judaism

in Portugal is coming to the Alfama district in 2017.

9: Moscow, Russia.

Russia may not have revealed all its Revolution-centennial

plans, but it's as clear as a crenellated Kremlin façade that there will be radical

changes in Moscow. The city will host football matches in the 2017 Confederations Cup and

the 2018 FIFA World Cup, so the race is on to bring an inkling of the ultra-modern to

a metropolis renowned for bombastic architecture. The new Ramenskoye Airport and a new metro

line will mean an all-time high in the city's connectivity, and Moscow will gain a blockbuster

attraction in the Polytechnic Museum and Educational Centre, relocated to a dramatic building in

the Vorobyovy Gory hills.

10: Portland, Oregon.

Portland doesn't try to impress anyone and so impresses everyone. It's America's

city of the future: a friendly, sustainable, ethical place that values good living and

leisure over acquisitiveness and ambition. Bisected by the Willamette River and surrounded

by peaks, it is also a preternaturally attractive place. What better spot could there be for

viewing one of nature's great spectacles: the solar eclipse of 21 August 2017. Although

the eclipse will be partial in Portland, drive a few miles south into the Willamette Valley

or hike up Mt Hood and you'll be cast in the moon's deep umbra between 9.06am and

11.38am (PDT).

Broken Praise - Todd Smith - Duration: 5:45.

If one more person takes my hand

And tries to make me understand

And tells me there's a bigger plan

That I'm not meant to see

If one more person dares suggest

That I've held something unconfessed

And tries to make the dots connect

From righteousness to easy street

Well I, I won't deny. That I've relied. On some assumptions

A man's honest life

Entitles him to something

But who am I to make demands

Of the God of Abraham

And who are you that you would choose

To answer me with mercy new

How many more will wander past

To find me here among the ashes

Will you hold me will you stay

So I can raise

This broken praise

Who else would see my suffering

As one more opportunity

To educate

To help me see

All my failed theology

If one more well intentioned friend

Tries to tie up my loose ends

Hoping to with rug and broom

Sweep awkward moments from the room

Well I, I can't forget

That I have begged, just like a madman

For my chance to die

And never see the morning

But who am I to make demands

Of the God of Abraham

And who are you that you would choose

To answer me with mercy new

How many more will wander past?

To find me here among the ashes

Will you hold me will you stay

So I can raise

This broken praise

But you were the one

Who filled my cup

And you were the one

Who let it spill

So blessed be your holy name

Should you never fill it up again

If this is how my story ends

Just give me one more chance to say

Hallelujah

Hey there and welcome back to Soar Worship

Conan Exiles Gameplay 3 Suomi - Finding iron and getting yourself killed (ENG subs) - Duration: 12:15.

Isn't that handsome

Shemite exile, I don't remember these

These races, I don't remember which race I was

But I was a descendant of ancient Atlanteans

My crimes were killing a priest, which was quite funny

And antagonizing a priest and cultural disrespect or something like that

Quite fun crimes

Let's get iron, but oh well

Some iron..

I've made spawnpoints along the way

And pretty sure I will aggravate something along the way

Hyenas

They are really aggressive

These other animals attack too as soon as you get close to them

You must watch out for these all the time

But these deers won't do anything

Who did I aggravate

Apparently nobody yet

Something aggravates really far away sometimes, and yet this music starts to play

Very well

Isn't that handy when you got strength at 10

Then the game starts to be easy

Let's update the spawn point here

Pretty tacky camp but it works

Should I go up this time, I have been so many times that way

There was a lot of spiders there

Let's go up

That is a dead end

Let's watch out an ostrich

This is a wonderful place, I want a base here

Oh no!

I don't want it exactly here, where there are hyenas

I cannot still use a shield, but I found some iron already

Great, but did I take an iron pick, yes

This is much more effective pick, oh no I haven't fixed that

I hope it last as long that I get enough iron

Now it would be a good time to get some coal too, but you are always short of iron

And you get stone, let's drop half of it

Let's get more iron

Yay, I got a level up

Level ups are rare at this level, even if I have 3x xp setting

This helps a lot if you have levels then you don't get killed

And there are big clumps of rocks

This is a best place to get iron in my opinion

What I have found yet

But my pick is done

F*

I have to take out this pick then

With this you get much less iron

Let's drop that

We don't need bones here

This is too much too

I could acquire a little bit more iron

There was a village nearby

Up there as I remember

I would like to raid that someday and build a base there

Because there is a lot of iron here

And there is a mystical temple here

I'm afraid to go there yet, because probably there are really hard enemies there

Very well, I think I have enough iron

It temps me to stay to explore this area, but I'm afraid to

Because usually you get killed

There is a lot of..

What a horrible sound

Who is chasing me?

These hyenas again

Temple of Evil

Those black rocks are clumps of coal there

I'm getting quite a..

There is a skull there

I'm scared to go even close

But if I die, I don't lose my stuff

I could show that, what is it here

I'm gonna die for sure

Let's see

I was hungry too, I was supposed to eat

Again these, these are really stupid, I hate these

But this game gets a lot easier, when you are strong enough to fight these

Let's fix this

Let's take that out and that too, even if I don't know what's it good for

Like this

We are now supposedly professionally equipped here

This is really an ominous place

I'm gonna die for sure

There is some dude there

Oh no it gets dark now

I don't see anything

Those bowmen are atrocious

Let's take some purified flesh quickly

There is a shaman there

I don't really see anything

I was using a wrong sword

Still I am doing well here

They are dead now

Let's take hearts out, not those..

Let's check these

Oh no now I am..

My inventory is full

98

Like that

Let's take that shield out

Let's not gather anything anymore

We got some flesh there

More dudes are coming, great

I don't see anything, because it's too dark

I'm going here where is more light

Because I cannot use shield, it would be best for me to..

I need a torch

I have to get out, I'm only gonna die here

It darkens too

This is goddamn frustrating when it gets dark

There are so many guards here, damn it

Now I will die, very well

That was like that

Darfari fighter 2, but I will never see what are they

It would be easier to go there with somebody, but I don't have any playing friends

So I can't

Then I have to progress that far with my character

I've got a level up too, I should level up vitality or accuracy

Let's set all to 10 like this

All the vital stats

Let's save some points for vitality

That was the game session this time
