Trump again urges McConnell to 'go nuclear' if needed for Supreme Court pick.

President Trump directed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., on Wednesday to employ

the nuclear option to confirm his Supreme Court nominee if Democrats try to stall the

process.

"If we end up with that gridlock, I would say if you can, Mitch, go nuclear," Trump

said Wednesday when asked Democrats' strategy to filibuster his nominee, Judge Neil Gorsuch.

Trump's request comes less than 24 hours after he named Gorsuch as his choice to replace

the late Justice Atonin Scalia on the Supreme Court bench.

Several Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., immediately

vowed to block the nominee from receiving confirmation without 60 votes.

Trump had previously told Fox News' Sean Hannity in an interview last month that he would advise

Senate Republicans to use the nuclear option, but his latest comments come after McConnell

seemed reluctant to do so.

"That's not a presidential decision.

That's a Senate decision," McConnell had told Politico after Trump's comments in late January.

#097 - US-61 North - LA-964 to LA-3057, St Francisville, Louisiana - Duration: 6:12.

Welcome back to 504 Road Trips.

Today, we continue north on US Highway 61 from the junction of Louisiana Highway 964,

Old Scenic Highway in East Baton Rouge Parish.

We approach the junction of Mt. Pleasant Zachary Road, which connects the communities of Mt.

Pleasant to the west with Zachary to the east.

Roadside signs indicate a paper mill, and the Louisiana National Cemetery down the road

to our left.

To the left is LA-3113, which leads to yet another national military cemetery.

The Port Hudson National Cemetery is located on the site which was the main battleground

of the Siege of Port Hudson, during the American Civil War.

As we approach Plains-Port Hudson Road, an older alignment of US-61 is visible on the

right hand side.

The community of Port Hudson is located just to the left, and Plains is several miles to

the east.

We cross Foster Creek and enter East Feliciana Parish.

Here, we see the junction of LA-964...again.

Back at the beginning of this video, we began at LA-964, which follows a winding route that

comes back to US-61, and follows US-61 for about half a mile, crossing the Thompson Creek

and entering West Feliciana Parish, and then departing to the left.

We reach the junction of Louisiana Highway 10, which leads to the west to the John James

Audubon Bridge over the Mississippi River.

LA-10 East follows US-61 for the next four and a half miles to St. Francisville.

Prior to 2011, LA-10 crossed the river via the now-defunct St. Francisville-New Roads Ferry.

On the left is the River Bend Access Road which leads to the River Bend Nuclear Generating

Station, operated by Entergy.

At Alexander Creek, we enter the historic town of St. Francisville, Louisiana.

On the left is Commerce Street which serves as the US-61 Business route through St. Francisville,

and is signed as State Highway 3057 and US-61 By-Pass.

St. Francisville is the parish seat of West Feliciana Parish, and has a population of

1,712 people as of the 2000 census.

St. Francisville was once the capital of the Republic of West Florida, and is home to several

antebellum plantations, including The Myrtles, a bed and breakfast known for its haunted history.

Here at Jackson Road, Louisiana Highway 10 diverges to the east.

We end today's drive at the northern junction with LA-3057, which curiously doesn't have

any signage indicating it as the US-61 Business Route.

may I introduce?

My new project.

An about 25 year old Winora Trekking bike!

This is the style of my profession teaching.

The bike is handmade in germany.

No any china cheap product.

Look, handmade germany.

I have two ideas.............

.....either we build a fucking custombike,

maybe in direction of singlespeed,

or an inch bike or bug out bike......

......crisis prevention is also a current issue at the moment.

So a bike with which you can tackle almost any terrain....

.....ok of course no real MTB terrain, the bike will not be able to afford.

But it must be able to withstand high loads, even if it is sometimes a terrible terrain.

I would also try not to assemble everything new,

but I would like to try to use good used parts......

which may need to be repaired again to be of high quality.

Anyone can buy something new, that is nothing special.

I would like to realize both projects.

But you should decide for which project this bike should be.

Torisuki (Chicken Sukiyaki Recipe) | Cooking with Dog - Duration: 4:05.

This is the last video shot when Francis was alive.

Hi, I'm Francis, the host of this show "Cooking with Dog."

Today, we are making Sukiyaki with chicken.

Beef is usually used in sukiyaki but chicken is also delicious.

Francis, let's get started.

First, let's parboil the chicken.

Slice the chicken thighs into bite-size pieces cutting at an angle.

Make sure that each piece has about the same thickness.

Place the chicken into a pot of boiling water.

Lightly cook the chicken until the surface turns white.

Remove and place it onto a tray.

This will help to remove any unwanted taste and smell,

making the chicken more delicious.

Now, let's make the sukiyaki sauce also known as warishita.

Combine the soy sauce, sugar,

sake

and water.

Add the dashi kombu seaweed.

If the kombu is not available, simply leave it out.

Turn on the burner.

Stir to mix.

When the sugar dissolves, remove the pot.

Let it sit to cool and then remove the kombu seaweed.

Next, let's prepare the ingredients.

Slice the long green onion using diagonal cuts.

As for the shungiku, use the soft upper half of the stalk

and the bottom part of the leaves.

Here are the rest of the ingredients,

enoki and shimeji mushrooms, grilled firm tofu

and lightly parboiled shirataki noodles cut into shorter lengths.

And now, let's make the Torisuki.

Pour the sukiyaki sauce into a shallow pot.

Turn on the burner and bring it to a boil.

Add the shirataki noodles,

grilled firm tofu cut into 1.5cm (0.6") slices

and long green onion.

Add the enoki mushrooms

and shimeji mushrooms.

Place the chicken into the pot.

Flip the ingredients over and allow them to absorb the broth.

The chicken easily becomes tough so avoid overcooking it.

When the chicken is cooked, add the shungiku leaves.

Lightly cook the shungiku in the broth

and now the Torisuki is ready.

Using a raw egg is an essential part of

enjoying sukiyaki here in Japan.

When you are not sure if your raw eggs can be eaten raw,

consider using pasteurized eggs.

Dip the ingredients into the egg and enjoy the delectable Torisuki.

Delicious!

You may also add udon noodles to the remaining broth

and enjoy the last drop of delicious sauce.

There Are Bugs In Your Food! Here's Why You Shouldn't Panic - Duration: 3:25.

Ah, yes, a no-so-subtle bouquet of stink bugs.

Hello winos, it's Natalia for DNews!

When it comes to producing wine, vineyards have many elements to contend with like rainfall,

soil conditions, and... stink bugs that hitch rides into the wineries.

Yes, brown marmorated stink bugs enjoy feeding on grapes and end up becoming "one with

the wine" as they are hard to find and remove because they're a similar color to the grapes.

And when stressed during the pressing process, the stink bugs, true to their name, emit an

unpleasant smelling compound, (E)-2-decenal.

It is said to smell like cilantro or coriander.

Researchers from Oregon State University have now determined that there can be up to three

stink bugs per bunch of grapes before the levels of (E)-2-decenal negatively affect

a tasty bottle of wine.

You think that'd keep me from drinking wine, but it won't.

Almost no commercially produced food is going to be completely devoid of 'filth'.

The FDA says, quote, "it is economically impractical to grow, harvest, or process raw

products that are totally free of non-hazardous, naturally occurring, unavoidable defects."

So what other undesirable critters are in your food?

I hope you're not eating.

The "Filth" in our food includes insect fragments, grubs, rodent hairs, and rodent

excrement.

For example… aphids love to get into your garden, so it should come as no surprise they

are in your produce.

The FDA estimates that there are about 60 aphids per 100 grams of frozen broccoli, and

30 aphids per 100 grams of brussel sprouts.

And that jar of peanut butter in your cupboard has, on average, 30 insects fragments and

1 rodent hair per 100 grams.

The FDA states there is an average of 9 mg of rodent excrement pellets and pellet fragments

in one kilogram of wheat.

Anyone want a sandwich?

To make sure food remains safe for public consumption, the FDA has regulations in place

to ensure commercially produced food isn't brimming with these undesirables.

But even treated water can have a certain degree of fecal matter in it.

I mean it's a very minute amount, but I still call it poo water.

You ok there, buddy?

All this talk of insects in our food begs the question, is eating insects so bad?

Maybe it's ok to eat a little bug or three.

Heck, maybe it's even good for us!

According to anthropologist Julie Lesnik, entomophagy, or eating insects, is not only

an excellent source of protein, it's also something our human ancestors did.

Researchers hypothesize that eating insects contributed to brain growth, or encephalization,

in primates, including our hominin ancestors.

In terms of nutritional value, dried crickets are roughly 60% protein and have more calcium

than milk!

Because of these stats, cricket flour has become all the rage recently, with cricket

protein bars and baked goods being sold throughout the US.

In fact, it seems the US is behind the times because people throughout the world have been

eating insects for centuries, from crickets, to mealworms, to locusts, to flies.

In 2013, the UN urged people to eat insects in hopes to curb worldwide hunger stating

that at least 2 billion people were already using insects as a dietary supplement.

Perhaps we ought to reconsider the idea that eating insects is unclean or gross.

So next time you're at a restaurant let your waiter know you'd like that extra fly

in your soup.

For those of you who don't know, Uber it's like a taxi but it's not a taxi

Well, that was the moment when a group of mini Mayan men started to pursue me

saying that it was illegal to use Uber..

Seriously, it was like an army, seriously, I felt like I was in a Disney mix between

some kind of Snow White and Pocahontas

That was really weird

But you know me, I am so brave..

I looked at the leader and said to him,

Ok,

I'm going to take the cab.

So for my "business", I needed to get to "a place" and because I am really persistent,

I ordered an Uber

It's still not a food, it's a car service

but the driver was very anxious and he called

me like 10 times.. Seriously, 10 times!

just like my mom

she calls10 times and when I pick up I am like

who's dead? and she's like

"oh no, I just wanted to do a backup of my phone.."

Well Dummy Dummy, I think it's enough for today, one last tip, don't ever provoke a Mexican

bartender by saying that your drink isn't strong enough

he's going to throw Tequila at you until you pass out

at least, it's what happened to me

Last glitch in this video is Unhanded Bounce glitch.

Rarely, when a fighter is bounced by

a card such as the Spring Bean

or the Backyard Bounce,

it will not return to its Hero's hand. Rather,

it will be bounced off the playing field.

However, it will still be able to attack and will be

immune to damage in some cases.

In newer updates, this glitch can still occur

but the bounced card will not attack.

No one is EVER done that!

chuck some rocks and the cops and burn down a local coffee shop.

Now, these criminals smashed ATMs and busted bank windows, looted a Starbucks, set a bunch of fires, beat a man unconscious,

spray painted "kill Trump" on local buildings, launched pepper spray, toppled a light pole and threw rocks and firebombs at police. Lovely.

Now, I've never been so insecure in my own beliefs that I have to scream and throw molotov cocktails when I don't get my way.

But clearly, Berkley's full of pathetic cowards with an extreme deficiency of big boy pants. The college that once peacefully marched in the 1960s

in favor of free speech is now rioting to protest free speech. These people are so crazy, in fact, that it doesn't even do any good to speak to them,

so instead I'll address the sane people in the audience who might still have three or four brain cells floating between their ears.

Don't pretend what happened last night was anything close to a tolerable protest. Don't accept this in your community as normative.

I don't care if you love Donald Trump or hate him with a fiery passion. Every single one of these thugs should be locked up in prison and charged

with felony rioting, assault, destruction of public property and anything else we can come up with.

Cut off the funding to their college, send in the National Guard, I don't care. But it is time for the adults in the room to stop kowtowing to the toddlers.

So let's start throwing the book at these idiots and get it under control.

31 Days of Yoga with Adriene! - Duration: 5:07.

Hello my friends! Kaitlyn here! And let's do some yoga!

Um, when did this become a fitness channel?

(INTRO MUSIC)

Okay! So we're not actually gonna be doing yoga on the channel today,

BUT I have been doing a lot of yoga recently and I wanted to talk about it's awesomeness!

So I've been a fan of yoga since college when I first tried it and found I loved it

because it combined two of things I valued and needed--flexibility and breathing exercises.

Now there's a whole lot more to yoga than flexibility and breathing exercises but that

is where I started for me.

But once out of college, I was pretty apprehensive about taking public classes because

First I didn't have any money because I hadn't found a job yet and then when I did

find a job, the classes were offered at really inconvenient times

and I'd have to travel at least 30 minutes to get to the closest studio...so it was just a bust.

BUT THEN!

In January of 2015, I stumbled across on the Internet Yoga with Adriene's 30 Day Yoga challenge.

Pretty self-explanatory: guided yoga videos on Youtube.

A new one uploaded everyday in January.

And I thought. What the heck? It's free. I can do it in my bedroom. Why not?

And so began my love affair with yoga and Adriene's presentation of it.

As of this past Tuesday, I've completed my 3rd 30 day Yoga "Challenge" with Adriene, and I'm feeling awesome.

Especially awesome because this is the first year that I actually did yoga every day.

In the past, I would skip a day here or there when I was feeling sore or sick or just too busy.

Essentially, it made a month long challenge take like 2 months. Ah!

But this time, I was like: What will happen if I just stick with it.

Even if that means doing yoga at 11 pm or when I'm super sore or just feeling awful.

And yes, it did make for days where I did not enjoy the yoga.

But it has absolutely made me stronger.

So here's what I love about Adriene's program and channel in general.

(And why I would recommend you check it out, do some yoga videos and maybe even try a 30 day challenge!)

First, it's an "exercise" program that'smore about being in tune with your body than "getting ripped."

Now that's not to say it's not challenging or unable to get you in shape because

I was sweating and shaking doing these videos!

It's because of the 2nd thing I love about this channel which is that Adriene emphasizes a mindfulness for

your body and your mind which is something that I unfortunately had not experienced in other yoga classes.

It's not about slamming into different poses and trying to fit the "mold"

but rather about seeing where your body's at and listening to it and seeing what it's telling you.

I didn't really listen to my body until watching her videos.

I would just get angry at myself for not being able to do what I thought my body should do.

I have really horrific memories of high school where I was tryingto learn choreography for show choir

and I would practice in my room and fail and so I would hit and smack, like violently my legs and my

arms and try to punish my body to kick it into gear because it wasn't doing what I wanted.

But that's not how that works. And that is not healthy.

Adriene's motto is "Find What Feels Good" which I thought was kind of corny at the very beginning

but, man! When you finally learn how to listen to your body,you realize how important that is and what it means.

I want exercising -- being physical -- to feel good!

And it absolutely can!

Third, I find such a sense of peace.

Adriene is very positive but in a realistic way.

"Everything is as it should be."

She not only has us focus on working the physical body but also the emotional, spiritual one.

She asks you to get kind of raw, kind of silly, kind of open.

Which I think works really well when you're doing it from the comfort and safety of your home.

And I've definitely left some of these workouts feeling completely zen or just with chills.

As someone with pretty overwhelming anxiety, this is a very rare and great occurrence for me.

Now, I know there are probably classes that have more of this mindset than I've previously experienced.

And now that I'm living in a new, bigger city, I need to go out there and find it!

But I love Adriene and her channel for the positivity, the light, the self-love that she's projecting into the world.

All of this is to say, you should go try some yoga. Whether you you want to lose weight

Or be more flexible. Or you suffer from anxiety like me!

You can try Adrienne's channel or one of the many other yoga channels that are out there on YouTube.

Or you could even try a real, live, in-person class! I don't care how you do it!

But I know that it was beneficial for me so I think it might be beneficial for you too.
