Youtube daily report w Feb 22 2017

Often, weapons become associated with the forces that wield them: their role and alignment

help shape their identity.

Lawful good through and through - this is a gun for the good guys:

The MP5.

So, how did it earn its heroic status?

What makes it a perfect fit for a counter-terror role?

And what's the deal with the slap?

The MP5 is a German weapon, manufactured by Heckler & Koch.

H&K were founded in 1949, directly in the wake of World War 2.

The company took its name from two of its three co-founders: all of whom were former

Mauser engineers: Alex Seidel, Edmund Heckler and Theodor Koch.

At first, they manufactured machine tools and precision metal parts - but in 1956 the

West German government put out a tender for a new rifle for the Bundeswehr.

H&K put forward the G3 design, based on a rifle designed by former Mauser engineers

at CETME, a Spanish technical institute.

Their bid proved successful, and H&K developed a number of G3-derived designs to fit different

roles - with the MP5 amongst them.

Originally known as the HK54, work began on the new SMG in 1964.

It fires the 9×19mm Parabellum round, the standard NATO pistol calibre.

Original magazines were straight, but a slight revision in 1977 gave the weapon its distinctive

and slightly curved 30-round mag.

Like its parent G3 design, the MP5 has a roller-delayed blowback mechanism - a simplistic but effective

enough action that has roots in German prototypes made near the end of the war.

There are quite a few MP5 variants available: from the original HK54, also known as the

MP5A1; the fixed stock MP5A2 and A4; retractable stock MP5A3; and sliding stock MP5A5.

The MP5K - or Kurz - is a shortened variant, pared down into the smallest package possible:

The MP5SD variants boast an integral suppressor, for covert use; and there are larger-calibre

variants too: such as the MP5/10, which fires powerful 10mm Auto rounds; and the MP5/40,

which fires .40 Smith & Wesson.

A flexible and configurable weapon, then - and one that has found favour with a large number

of police and special forces units.

In 1980, one event in particular secured the MP5's iconic status: a siege on the Iranian

Embassy in London.

6 terrorists, 26 hostages, a densely-populated urban location and a live television feed:

it was a very tense situation with an awful lot on the line.

On the sixth day of the siege, a hostage was killed. This prompted immediate action by

the British Special Air Service - under the codename Operation Nimrod.

17 minutes after their first breach, 5 terrorists were killed, the final captured - and all

remaining hostages were rescued.

The mission's success reinforced the SAS's reputation as a deady special operations force:

and these events served as the perfect advertisement for the SMG they used.

Its proven track record, and suitability for the close-range fighting typical of urban

terror operations, make it a fitting choice for any counter-terror role - and a must-have

inclusion for any games that depict such forces.

The SAS' legendary live-fire exercises in the Killing House are depicted in the tutorial

of Call of Duty 4: in which you drill the following mission's plan with plywood simulacrum.

The MP5's presence here is true-to-life, and the game shows a recreation of the real training

exercises that the SAS would have undertaken in preparation for the embassy siege.

The MP5 sees prime placement in the armouries of tactical shooters, then: and it's a flagship

weapon of the Rainbow Six series.

When it comes to tackling a terrorist threat, there's nothing better for the task.

One quirk that crops up during the MP5's reload is the infamous 'HK slap': an open-handed

tap on the cocking lever after inserting a fresh magazine, sending the bolt forward and

chambering a round.

It might seem reckless to smack your weapon, but it's actually recommended procedure: a

softer approach might not drive the bolt home properly.

Besides, the MP5 is a working weapon - and one that can withstand a little rough-housing.

The 'slap' isn't unique to the MP5 - but it's a cool move that has helped to bolster its

iconic identity through fiction as well as fact.

Its distinctive on-screen presence and association with heroic action makes it a prominent choice

in cinema.

The weapon has turned up in hundreds of films - normally seen in the hands of the good guys,

but sometimes revealing a more impetuous side.

With notable appearances in Die Hard 2 and The Matrix, the weapon appears outside its

counter-terror role in games inspired by classic action movies.

Games like Max Payne and Modern Warfare 2 indulge a more brash side of the SMG: far

from the tightly controlled discipline of well-trained special forces, the MP5 can also

employ spray and pray tactics.

It might waste ammunition, but it looks good on screen - and more empty mags mean more

stylish reloads, complete with the slap.

Today, there are a number of more modern SMGs and personal defence weapons vying to replace

the fifty-year-old MP5 design.

H&K themselves even offer two alternatives: the more modern and larger-calibre UMP-45,

and the armour-piercing power of the diminutive MP7: but the classic 9mm SMG still reigns

supreme: well-loved by those who wield it, and with ubiquitous use by police forces worldwide.

A legendary submachine gun that earned its reputation through a baptism by fire.

Always cool under crisis, its the perfect counter-terror weapon:

The MP5.

Confident.

Force for order.

Terrorist's bane.

Thank you very much for watching - Iconic Arms will return: and until next time, farewell.

Weirdest politicians in the world - Duration: 3:41.

The world of politics attracts a lot of people's attention everywhere, because supposedly,

leaders must work intensely for the good of the community, as they represent citizens

in their ideals.

But corruption has seriously permeated politics in every aspect, but the positive side is

that many leaders have emerged whose characteristics are quite revolutionary, funny and out of

the ordinary.

Let's see "the most bizarre politicians in the world"

Miss america Bess Myerson was a very famous woman all over

the world, for being the winner of a beauty pageant in 1945.

After that, she held important positions in the political field of her country and was

part of the cabinet of the Mayor of New York, between 1983 and 1987.

The end of her political career came in 1988, when she was arrested for stealing from a

luxurious warehouse in Pennsylvania.

"The son of God" He is a politician of Japanese origin, leader

of the World Economic Community party, which he himself created.

He has regarded himself as "the son of God" or sometimes claims to be "the only god Mitsuo

Matayoshi Jesus Christ.

He has campaigned several times for presidency, and his plan of government is focused on making

a Judgment Day, like the biblical Judgement Day.

Erotic actress in parliament Ilona Staller is a well-known adult movie

actress, who served as a member of the Italian Radical Party.

The woman is of Hungarian origin, but her social and political life was most echoed

in Italy, where she fought incessantly against nuclear weapons, NATO and world hunger.

The mayor of Oencia Oencia is a small Spanish town, one of the

few places where Galician is still spoken.

And his most famous mayor was José Estanga, an old-fashioned rocker, whom, with his long

hair, his clothes and his peculiar way of being, revolutionized the world of politics

in that part of the world.

Estanga has already recorded more than 12 albums and has made important contributions

in this small town.

  Clown deputy

Francisco Everardo Oliveira Silva, better known as "Tiririca".

He was a famous clown before venturing into the world of politics in Brazil, his native

country.

During his artistic career, he was so successful that he recorded a record that sold millions

of copies.

Years later, he ran for election and won a seat in Congress.

Marko, "the most honest leader in the world" Tired of not finding among humanity a single

honest, hardworking and helpful leader, a Bulgarian party called "Society for a New

Bulgaria" threw a donkey as a candidate for mayor.

This was the motto he had: "for his strong personality, because he does not steal, he

does not lie and does his work when he is commanded."

A dead guy Incredibly, one dead person was the candidate

who received the most votes in elections in a town called Chauca, in Ecuador.

It happened in 2009, three weeks after Enrique Villegas died.

The news of his death was not made public, just as his photo on the card was not removed,

so voters, ignoring the circumstances, voted for a dead candidate, who was then elected.

The Stubbs Cat An honorary mayor of Talkeetna, Alaska, was

a tender kitten that oddly seems to have functioned as an agent.

It had its own office and although its position was almost symbolic, it was respected by all

the settlers of that small region.

STASI: Trump finally acknowledging the ugliness of anti-Semitism won't stop the hate he inspires - Duration: 3:50.

Donald Trump finally said something — a very little something — about the growing, terrifying anti-Semitic violence sweeping this country. But it was like wearing a fancy dress over a severed artery and figuring no would notice the bleeding.

The threats against Jews began just before Donald Trump's inauguration. And since that time, there have been nearly 70 bomb threats against 54 Jewish community centers in 27 states. This week, up to 200 headstones at Missouri's historic Chesed Shel Emeth Society Jewish cemetery were knocked over and desecrated.

Did you think that the election of Trump, a President endorsed by the chair of the American Nazi party — not to mention various neo-Nazi groups, white supremacist groups, the official KKK newspaper and militia groups — was going to usher in a wave of inclusiveness that would include Jews?

President Trump was visiting the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture with Ivanka and Ben "Uncle Tom" Carson when he finally addressed the issue.

(SAUL LOEB/AFP/Getty Images)

Were you calmed (even if you are Jewish) by the thought that his daughter, Ivanka — who converted to Judaism in order to marry her husband — would make Trump's right-wing Evangelical supporters suddenly love the Jews?

The threats against Jews began just before Donald Trump's inauguration. And since that time, there have been nearly 70 bomb threats against 54 Jewish community centers in 27 states.

(Pacific Press/LightRocket via Getty Images)

Did you vote for him wrongly believing that anti-Semites would leave the Jews alone because, hey, don't all Jews hate all Muslims? Isn't the enemy of my enemy my friend?

The Jewish newspaper, The Forward has called Donald Trump's "silence about the recent spate of anti-Semitism" "deeply disturbing." And rightfully so.

So finally, on Tuesday, after nearly ignoring the issue, President Trump was visiting the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture with Ivanka and Ben "Uncle Tom" Carson when he finally addressed the issue.

"The anti-Semitic threats targeting our Jewish community at community centers are horrible, and are painful and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil," the President said.

Trump delivers remarks as Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr., listens, after his tour at the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.

(KEVIN DIETSCH / POOL/EPA)

Well, that should take care of that sticky problem. And besides, why let the black people have the entire spotlight?

In the meantime, last week President Trump called a question by a reporter (who happened to be an orthodox Jew) "insulting" when he was asked if he'd condemn the wave of anti-Semitic violence sweeping the country.

"I am the least anti-Semitic person that you've ever seen in your entire life."

Steven Goldstein of the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, called Trump's statement "a Band-Aid on the cancer of anti-Semitism."

(Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images)

No, actually, I've seen a lot of people who are even less anti-Semitic than the neo-Nazi-endorsed President of the United States. Those people would include everyone in my family, all my friends, most of the people I work with and yes, me.

Trump saying "it must stop," is the equivalent of a parent saying "Stop hitting your sister" to the bully older brother without doing anything about the violence in their home. Remember, this is the President who forgot to mention "Jews," "Jewish" or even "anti-Semitism" in his presidential proclamation on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Shockingly, leaders of some Jewish groups were happy that the President even brought up the subject of anti-Semitism at all, praising him for his one sentence on the subject at the museum.

Trump saying "it must stop," is the equivalent of a parent saying "Stop hitting your sister" to the bully older brother without doing anything about the violence in their home.

(SAUL LOEB/AFP/Getty Images)

Not Steven Goldstein of the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, who called it "a Band-Aid on the cancer of anti-Semitism."

It can't happen here? Right. First it was the Mexicans and the Muslims, and now it's the Jews.

Never forget the famous words spoken by Pastor Martin Neimoller in 1948: "Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me."

Well, no one will be left except the lying press, that is.

Taylor Swift Now - Ep.7: On a Video Shoot (Part 2) "Mine" - Duration: 0:37.

So we shot the video from 'Mine'

which was the first single of Speak Now,

in Maine.

It was pretty.

Beaches.

We have little kids running around

'Cause they were in the music video.

And that made it really fun

because they were like,

so full of energy.

And they just made everything more joyful

and exuberant to everything.

And that's the stuff that I play back of my head

when I see that video

'cause it's like, you know,

if you were actually there to experience it,

You play back kind of like a behind-the-scene stuff

that no one was around for.

Those can tend to be the memory to cherish the most.

Ask Yoast: link building - Duration: 0:59.

A question came in about "link building".

"If I find a site in my niche that looks trustworthy,

"where I can buy links to my site,

why shouldn't I buy them?"

Well, first of all because buying links is cheating

and we don't cheat.

Second of all you might think that that link looks trustworthy,

but if you can buy links from them, who else can buy links from them?

And who else will they be selling links to,

so your link might not really be that worthwhile anymore.

Also how easy is it for you to know who they've already sold links to

and how that knowledge might get to Google?

If you're buying links, at some point you're going to get caught

and you're going to lose everything you have

just because you thought you could speed up yourself to the top of the rankings.

It doesn't work, I've seen it 1000 times, it's not worth it.

Don't buy links.

Ahoy 標誌性武器系列 - MP5. 中文字幕cc - Duration: 7:40.

Working while you travel - #13 doc'it yourself (CC ENG SUB) - Duration: 2:48.

Traveling and making films at the same time costs money.

Everyone finances their adventures differently, here's what I do.

Personally, I had international clients looking to hire me remotely and one that even flew me out for a job to the USA.

That gig meant leaving Japan for 2 weeks to work at a conference in Washington DC.

Upon arriving, I took advantage my downtime to explore before beginning 8 days of non-stop work.

On the first day I'll be joining the rest of the team and installing internet in different rooms for the conference.

Once I've run a few tests to see that everything works.

Good evening, ladies and gentleman and welcome to... Wow it does not work well

I will shift to what people call Data Management for the rest of the week.

Spoiler: this may not be the most inspiring work out there, but it certainly enabled me to travel during 4 month!

I typically move slowly and as cheaply as possible, giving myself time to work on my many side projects

and make new friends everywhere I go to expand my network.

Today it is totally possible to work while you travel, as long as you stay organised and keep your morale high.

After my trip to Washington DC, I went to Kansas where a film I co-Directed, "Train Station",

along with 40 other Directors in 25 different countries, is selected at the KIFF festival!

This is one of the networks that I made during my trip and I find myself today at the festival to represent the film

Glad to be here!

ACLU to challenge Milwaukee Police Department's stop-and-frisk policies with class-action lawsuit - Duration: 2:53.

The Milwaukee Police Department will need to defend its controversial use of stop-and-frisk policies in light of a class-action lawsuit lodged by the American Civil Liberties Union, according to a report.

The nonprofit is representing Charles Collins, 67, and numerous others in the Wisconsin city, with a class-action case accusing the police force led by Chief Edward Flynn of racially profiling with quotas.

In an interview with Reason magazine, Collins cited one instance in 2014 when an officer pulled him over just to see his driver's license and check for weapons.

"We're not the ticket police," the officer reportedly told Collins when asked if he had been speeding.

Collins claims Milwaukee police have stopped him without probable cause countless times. Flynn has overseen the department since 2008.

"As a brother or black man living in Milwaukee, it's not an unusual thing," Collin told Reason. "When I leave my home, I leave with apprehension. Not that it's in your face, but it's there.

I feel there's a good possibility that I'll get shot or pulled over."

Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn has led the Milwaukee Police Department since 2008.

"It's in me, you know what I'm saying? I can feel it."

A teen boy is among the policy's challenges. He claims he has been stopped by Milwaukee cops three times -- once as a 5th grader, again in 7th grade and most recently while walking to his high school. The lawsuit, expected to be filed as early as Wednesday morning, will detail a pattern of abuse with its "high-volume, suspicionless stop-and-frisk program," court documents state.

The city has already faced dozens of lawsuits challenging police tactic.

The lawsuit comes on the heel of the ACLU scoring a large round of donations while battling the Trump administration's travel ban. Its attorneys will claim that Milwaukee's policy violates Title VI civil rights, the Fourteenth Amendment and Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches and seizures.

New York City has led the way in bringing down stop-and-frisk practices.

In 2013, a federal judge found the NYPD's use of stop-and-frisk in predominantly black and Latino communities unconstitutional. Cops have conducted more than five million impromptu street interrogations since 2002, according to the New York Civil Liberties Union.

The ACLU lawsuit will allege that Milwaukee's use of the NYPD's CompStat to monitor crime statistics has fueled a quota among officers, according to Reason.

High-profile minority deaths, such as Eric Garner in NYC and Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., at the hands of law enforcement has created a heightened awareness of police abuse of power and sparked the Black Lives Matter movement.

A police shooting in Milwaukee sparked two nights of violent unrest in 2016.

Former police officer Dominique Heaggan-Brown fatally shot the gun-toting Sylville Smith, 23, after he fled traffic stop. The rookie cop was fired from the Milwaukee department following sexual assault claims. A man told police Heaggan-Brown raped him after a drunken night at a bar, watching the fiery riots on TV.

He was later charged with reckless homicide in Smith's death. He allegedly fired the fatal shots after Smith was disarmed.

Trump's plan to broaden deportation rules could cost billions and hurt the U.S. economy, experts... - Duration: 4:32.

The sweeping immigration enforcement outlined by the Trump administration could cost billions of dollars to execute, cripple the American economy, and possibly present a humanitarian crisis the likes of which the country has never seen, experts say.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said in a pair of memos describing the plan on Tuesday that the U.S. "no longer will exempt classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement."

The memos, combined with President Trump's executive actions on immigration, call for the hiring of thousands of additional federal agents, enlisting local law enforcement to assist in apprehension, and beefing up the number of immigration judges.

Experts from both sides of the aisle aren't quite sure where the money for the increased enforcement will come from and believe that the economic fallout from the deportation of 11 million undocumented immigrants could be staggering.

"It's a really significant amount of money and it's difficult to see this coming together," Philip Wolgin, the managing director for immigration policy with the progressive Center for American Progress, told the Daily News. "But they've made a ton of promises and are following through on a lot of them."

More than 2 million immigrants were deported during the eight years Obama was in office, more than many previous administrations.

But the scope of Trump's expulsion plans is beyond anything seen in the U.S. in decades.

Critics have compared the pledge to deploy a "deportation force" to an Eisenhower-era immigration crackdown he has praised: "Operation Wetback."

The 1950s undertaking targeted Mexican and Hispanic immigrants from Austin, Tex. to Chicago and carted them across the border via truck, train, and cargo ship.

Trump's federal dragnet will not just take aim at the worst offenders as he promised on the campaign trail — it vastly expands the range of undocumented immigrants federal officials should seek out to include low-level offenders and longtime residents with ties to communities.

"A lot of this is designed to put up numbers — but in doing so, you diminish the impact on public safety," John Sandweg, who served as the acting director of ICE and acting general counsel of DHS under the Obama administration, told the Washington Post.

While Trump has pledged to triple the number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to deal with his plans, there are other ways in which he can speed up the roll out of the plan.

Wolgin said he was most concerned about a section of the memo that appeared to expand the time frame of when people can be deported without seeing a judge from 14 days after arrival to two years could be devastating.

"The issue is how they do it. It means skipping the immigration courts and skipping due process and being able to get a lawyer," he said. "I would imagine we will see legal challenges to theses memos, but in general once you're deported your ability to challenge is greatly diminished."

The scope of Trump's expulsion plans is beyond anything seen in the U.S. in decades.

(Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)

One of the memos directs ICE to expand a program that allows local law enforcement agencies partnering with the federal government "to perform the functions of an immigration officer," including "investigation, apprehension and detention."

To enforce Trump's pledge to end a policy known as "catch-and-release," in which interdicted undocumented immigrants were released pending deportation proceedings, the memos call for a vast expansion of the use of detention centers to hold people caught by immigration authorities.

"It's going to take a lot more resources and a lot more years," Wolgin said. "The ability to deport that many more people is a matter of hiring people quick enough."

The right-leaning American Action Forum last year analyzed the force necessary to apprehend and remove all 11.3 million illegal immigrants from the U.S. within two years

"(T)he federal government would need to increase federal immigration apprehension workers from 4,844 to 90,582, immigration detention personnel from 5,203 to 53,381, federal immigration attorneys from 1,430 to 32,445, and immigration courts from 58 to 1,316," the group found.

The group estimated it would take hundreds of thousands of extra detention beds, 17,000 chartered airplane flights, and 30,000 chartered bus trips each year.

The total price tag would be $100 billion to $300 billion, the group estimates.

The sheer cost of Trump's hardline efforts isn't the only economic pain that will be felt if millions are deported.

Brian Garcia, a legal advocate for immigrant youth, told the Arizona Republic the "change in policy places a priority on hurting families" who "come to the U.S. to work, pursue an education, and contribute to our economy."

According to an analysis from the American Action Forum, a conservative-leaning think tank, the U.S. economy could shrink by $1.6 trillion over the next 20 years as a result of the deportations.

Moody's Analytics projected that Trump's policies would shrink the labor force by about 5% — driving up not only wages, but also the cost of goods, creating inflation and higher interest rates.

Meanwhile, real gross domestic product would decline by 5.7%, or almost $1.6 trillion.

"The Trump administration's continued attacks on immigrants have severe economic and social repercussions," Main Street Alliance said in a statement. "As entrepreneurs and job creators, immigrants play an indispensable role in the economy and culture of the US. Main Street Alliance and our member businesses believe America is strongest when it is most inclusive."
