Hi. My name is Daniel.
My in-game nickname is Blasting, and I'm 20 years old.
I play an AD Carry for Virtus.pro, and I've been playing LoL for seven years by now.
I was born in Latvia, in Riga to be exact, but my parents had come from Russia.
So as a result, Russia is where all my roots are, where all my relatives live.
In the first season of LCL, I was playing for Team Just; after I played in a Split,
it so happened (a lot of nuances were involved) that they put me in reserve for the next one.
So I ended up not playing for half a year.
During this half-year of inactivity, I was an active participant in analytical panels,
and occasionally played Overwatch.
Half a year later I told myself, "right, I need to return to the competitive scene".
I decided to up one of my ELOs, and eventually made it to Challenger.
No other ADs in Russia were ranked Challenger at the time.
I arranged with the Vega guys that I'd play for them at IEM.
Before I was to sign a year-long contract with Vega, I got an offer from the Virtus.pro manager.
They just put a wad of cash in front of me and I'm like, "Oh. Hi there. I suppose I will take it."
And there I was, joining Virtus.pro.
Like everybody else, I started out in a situation where my parents weren't particularly supportive.
But once the first prize money started coming in, they weren't calling it just a hobby anymore.
They said, "well, it's your life, isn't it; do whatever you like."
All it did was to motivate me.
I was motivated by their not believing in me at first; I kept moving forward.
I guess if I weren't an e-sports player, I'd want to get an education in psychology.
I can't say I've got people figured out, but I do understand things.
Folks, thanks to all of you who've been with me this couple of minutes. Take care!
