didn't download anything on my part so i

don't know what happened but we're going

to do in this episode is the argument

that a little shark trap to the left and

try to capture in there and see if that

work

hey buddy you big fat human devouring

fuck are you doing today

alright let's start with the building

now i have a shit ton of resources so I

don't think we are going to run out

quite don't actually be artful alright

let me get my hammer and no that's not

what i wanted to make I want to make

foundation

ok go on a little bit further than a

nice big for trap

let's do you know this is good i want to

make it big to make kind of an important

because you know living on potatoes

filled with water and coconut it's cool

and all but I need me some cash got all

of the street

trust me all you need is a good luck and

wait now well actually what do you guys

think the next couple with the game it's

gonna be because personally I don't

think that's gonna be one we've done

everything there to do so I don't think

they're going to update it anytime soon

I've actually seen him post about

multiplayer being implemented into the

game which would be cool but it still

needs some more content

ok hold on i was dinosaurs and I did not

know that tells you a lot about my

survival skills and put you in here you

go let me just cook some more actually

have a cookie table which is not all you

need in your life in the middle seat is

wood and potatoes

let me just get really need for a second

and make make a cup then made on the

I'm so glad of management there maybe

that's because i don't actually drink a

lot of water and you realize i actually

there's one thing else I don't like

crying the volume on my audio lockdown

plan so i only discovered lately that

the character you're playing at is a

woman i did not know that I couldn't

hear the screaming of the shark

devouring my intention sorry about that

now we're gonna need a lot more resource

because we're going to need to fill

everything with it actually have an idea

on this I don't need be I'm just going

to recycle them going to be way better

we still have a lot of nesting place and

we need to eat

we need to eat god I am effect survivor

on a harvesting potatoes cook them again

but yeah I think one thing that should

be like a good ending to the game is

catching the shark which i already did

all I don't know about you guys for

reading the ass shit out of a shark and

catching him and make him your bitch is

a pretty good success story for me okay

that enough

I am so badass arrival let's just throw

all this crap like you could you don't

need crap when you're building that all

you need it would attach our that that

it's a more next to put down hold on the

swim faster and one shark bite me in the

ass

thank you I think we're about done for

now let me just put a few more next and

make one like fools if I have I need a

just have to put net all around like a

structure like this and we won empty

block of space or whatever the sharp

come to you and put this last night and

that should caption for this case

somehow actually didn't play the game

ENVR E 106 - Envisioning a Sustainable Future: Course Introduction - Duration: 9:26.

TIMOTHY WEISKEL: OK.

Thank you very much for looking at this video.

This is a descriptive video of a new course

that George Buckley and myself, Tim Weiskel,

are trying for the first time this semester.

So congratulations, you're part of a new experiment

all together.

That means, among other things, that you can't look back

at previous editions of this course

because there weren't any.

So we're going to try to describe

for you briefly here what's involved with this course.

It's part of the Sustainability Degree at the Extension School.

And it can be taken independently

of the degree itself.

You can sign up either for graduate credit,

for undergraduate credit, or as an auditor.

No credit whatsoever.

You have no assignments to submit, whatever.

You can just watch all of the lectures,

get access to all the material we'll be presenting,

but you don't have to do anything

by way of submitting material.

And several people have chosen to do that.

But in any case, it's part of the Sustainability Degree

if you are doing a graduate degree

and part of the undergraduate completion of things

if you're doing the undergraduate part.

It's called Envisioning a Sustainable Future

because we've spent a lot of time

in the past talking about a critique of one aspect

or another of what's going on and not allowing students

a chance to think about, OK, where are we moving toward?

What would sustainability look like in whatever field

I'm interested in?

Who's working on that?

How can I get some course credit time to look into that?

Who is in effect thinking 20, 30 years down the road

about a sustainable future?

So it's that challenge we're are taking on in this new course.

And the subtitle is Managing and Protecting the Environment.

We're going to take our [INAUDIBLE] in any cases

from individuals who've been luminaries in the field,

thinking about conservation, preservation,

and protecting the environment.

And in some cases, we're going to be looking, for example,

at case studies of individuals who've

had a big impact in a particular area, preserving

certain kind of animals, or whole ecosystems, for example,

or have had an impact historically

on the whole conservation, preservation, and Environmental

Defense movement.

For example, tonight, you will all

be able to watch a two-hour special on PBS

on Rachel Carson.

Well, she's inspired many generations.

And it's material from her biography

that we'll be drawing on in some cases, but also biographies

of many other individuals who have

been luminaries in thinking about sustainability.

Whether they called it that or not,

they're thinking about enduring ecosystems,

how to preserve them, how to manage them,

and, more particularly, how to manage human interactions

with ecosystems so as to assure sustainability in the future.

Well, this is the catalog description of the course.

And if you roll down here a bit, you

can get right to the course website.

And the course website repeats the catalog description

and leads you on to other material.

In the Student View, you'll see a left-hand column of things

and you can migrate your way through them.

Basically, the two key documents you want to look at

are the syllabus, which is out here online,

and the weekly schedule of class sessions, which

will be linked from week to week to a link which you can click

on and get further material.

In this case, it's the discussion

for week one, which is self-explanatory.

And you can participate in it.

It's all very well worked out as they've

done here at the Harvard Extension School.

We say often computers are designed by geniuses

to be run by idiots.

Now, in some sense, we're all idiots in the sense

that we're late arriving to the computer as an environment,

but we're making the best use of it in distance ed.

We're reaching people beyond Cambridge, certainly

beyond Massachusetts, throughout the United States,

and beyond this country, well beyond this country.

One of the reasons why this course is

so relevant and important at this point

is that envisioning a sustainable future

has come to mean something quite different

than it did, even at the last semester.

We've had an election.

Those of you who aren't in the United States

may not be aware of this, but we've

had an election that has made a difference.

And sustainability questions are going

to be on the front burner in the coming months.

So it's in that vein that we're going

to be inviting you to undertake your research,

present your material, share it with others in the class,

and use these computer assets to interact with us on a semester

long basis.

The next 15 weeks we're going to be engaged in this.

So I'll turn it over to George at this point, the co-teacher

in this course, and you can take a little view

at this, come back for the first class, which will

be viewable by anyone as well.

That is the first class is viewable by anyone

around the world as a free access viewing experience.

The 2nd through the 15th, that requires the password.

George, it's all yours.

GEORGE BUCKLEY: Tim.

TIMOTHY WEISKEL: Thank you.

GEORGE BUCKLEY: First of all, Weiskel and I

have been working diligently to think about where

this course can take us, about managing and protecting

the environment into the future.

And what brought me to this is my long, deep history

in environmental management, two-hands-on environmental

management.

And we hope through this course to bring together

a collective of discussion, of readings, of some guest

speakers, that will help energize our students to be

thinking about where we've been, where we are,

and where we're going, and their role in it.

Each person's role, each solution,

may well be different for each town, each state, each country,

each village, each island.

And what we can do is we can take

some of the best practices that have been used,

that have been developed over the years,

and mold those for what we need for the future.

And so we hope that we'll help to have our students start

thinking and writing about what their future will be.

Not unlike when you're at Disney Spaceship Earth,

they have you design your future, and ephermally,

but you design your own little future.

And I was just there and I designed mine underwater living

in the future.

But each of us is going to have to think

inward about where we have been and where we are going.

And there is a rich, long history

as Tim pointed out, Rachel Carson.

This is the fourth major program about Rachel Carson.

I met her when I was a high school

student just before she passed on,

having written Silent Spring.

But even then, when we look at Carson,

we tend to focus on Silent Spring

and forget totally that her entire life to that time

is what built up the resonance, the respect, the laudability,

that allowed Rachel Carson's Silent Spring to be published.

If she had not done The Sea Around Us,

The Sea is All About Us, and won multiple writing awards

for those as a natural history writer and natural history

person of the first order, Silent Spring

wouldn't have seen the light of day.

And so we'll try to look deeper into some of these people

from Rachel Carson to E.O. Wilson to Sylvia Earle.

While two-thirds of the world is covered by ocean,

and I teach my oceans course this semester,

we live on the rest.

And of what's left of the rest, we live on a part of it.

And to-date, you can probably count

on the fingers of a hand or two the number of weeks or months

that people have actually lived underwater.

If you counted all my hours underwater,

it'd come up to a while.

But we need to think about how do we respect that ocean?

It's two-thirds of the earth and most of its climate

operational systems.

And how do we work on land?

We'll be looking at E.O. Wilson, who's

proposed we save half the earth that's left.

Sylvia Earle has proposed that we save half the ocean that's

left, unpolluted.

So it's going to be an interesting course

as we discuss these issues over the next coming 15 weeks,

and have you read and talk and chat and collaborate.

And we hope they'll be a lot of collaboration

in the chat room live during the class in the discussion

sessions.

So join us as we go out in this joint adventure

and take you with us.

Omphalocele - causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, pathology - Duration: 4:09.

With an omphalocele, omphalo- refers to the naval, also known as the bellybutton—or

more formally the umbilicus—which is the attachment site of the umbilical cord, and

-cele relates to hernia or swelling.

Omphalocele, therefore, is when some of the bowels herniate out into the umbilical cord.

During the fourth week of fetal development, the embryo starts to change shape from a flat,

three-layer disc to something more shaped like a cylinder, a process called embryonic

folding.

In the horizontal plane, the two lateral folds eventually come together and close off at

the midline, except for at the umbilicus, where the umbilical cord connects the fetus

to the placenta.

This folding allows for the formation of the gut within the abdominal cavity.

During around the sixth week of development, the liver and intestines grow really quickly,

and because the abdominal cavity's still pretty small, there's limited space, which

causes the midgut to herniate through the umbilical ring into the umbilical cord, and

this happens normally.

At about week 10, though, the abdominal cavity typically has grown enough to allow the midgut

to come back from the umbilical cord.

With omphalocele, the midgut—along with potentially other organs from the abdominal

cavity—fail to return back to the abdominal cavity, and therefore stay in the umbilical

cord all the way through fetal development and even after birth.

Now, since the intestines and potentially other organs aren't meant to be in the umbilical

cord, there can be complications like the abdominal cavity not growing to its normal

size, as well as pinched blood vessels and loss of blood flow to an organ.

So with an omphalocele, after birth the abdominal organs protrude out of the body, but are contained

within the umbilical cord, meaning the organs are sealed by a peritoneal layer.

In contrast, a related defect called gastroschisis involves the abdominal contents herniating

out of the abdominal cavity as well, but it happens through a separate hole in the abdomen,

so in this case the intestines are not covered by a peritoneal layer.

Although the cause of omphalocele is ultimately unknown, it's likely a result of both genetic

and environmental factors.

Some cases of omphalocele are due to underlying genetic disorders like Trisomy 13, Trisomy

18, Trisomy 21—also known as Down syndrome—and Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome.

Also, certain factors have been found to increase the risk of a woman having a baby with omphalocele,

like consumption of alcohol and tobacco during the pregnancy, use of certain medications

like SSRIs, as well as obesity.

Diagnosis can be done before birth, or prenatally, through detailed fetal ultrasound, or lab

tests, screening for increased maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein levels.

If not detected prenatally, omphaloceles are obvious right at birth.

Treatment involves surgery following birth, in which the intestines and organs need to

be placed back in the abdominal cavity and the defect repaired.

If the omphalocele's large, then the organs might have to be slowly moved back into the

abdominal cavity over a period of time.

Alright, as a quick recap, omphalocele is when the intestines, and potentially other

organs, fail to return to the abdominal cavity from the umbilical cord, allowing them to

protrude outside the belly but inside the umbilical cord.

In contrast to gastroschisis, the abdominal contents are covered by a layer of peritoneum.

Kidney stones (nephrolithiasis) - causes, types, diagnosis, pathology - Duration: 7:25.

With nephrolithiasis, "nephro-" refers to the kidneys, and "-lithiasis" means

stone, so nephrolithiasis means kidney stones, sometimes also referred to as renal calculi

or urolithiasis.

Kidney stones form when solutes in the urine precipitate out and crystalize, and although

these most commonly form in the kidneys themselves, they can also form in the ureters, the bladder,

or the urethra.

Now, urine's a combination of water, which acts as a solvent, and all sorts of particles,

or solutes.

In general, when certain solutes become too concentrated in the solvent, they become supersaturated.

Urinary supersaturation of certain solutes results in precipitation out of the solution

and formation of crystals.

Those crystals then act as a nidus, or place where more solutes can deposit and over time

it builds up a crystalline structure.

This can happen if there's an increase in the solute, or a decrease in the solvent,

as would be the case with dehydration.

In addition, there are substances like magnesium and citrate that inhibit crystal growth and

aggregation, preventing kidney stones from forming in the first place.

In the majority of cases, the inorganic precipitate is calcium oxalate, formed by a positively

charged calcium ion binding to a negatively charged oxalate ion, which results in a black

or dark brown colored stone that is radio-opaque on an Xray, meaning that it shows up as a

white spot.

Sometimes, instead of oxalate, the calcium binds a negatively charged phosphate group

to form calcium phosphate stones which are dirty white in color and alsop radiopaque

on an Xray.

Calcium oxalate crystals are more likely to form in acidic urine, whereas calcium phosphate

crystals are more likely to form in alkaline urine.

The exact reason why these stones form is usually unknown, but there are some known

risk factors like hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria, having too much calcium in the blood and urine,

respectively.

Hypercalcemia can result from increased calcium absorption in the gastrointestinal tract as

well as hormonal causes like primary hyperparathyroidism.

Hypercalciuria can result from impaired renal tubular reabsorption of calcium, which leaves

a lot of calcium behind in the tubule.

For the calcium oxalate stones, hyperoxaluria is a risk factor as well, and it can be due

to a genetic defect that increases oxalate excretion, a defect in liver metabolism, or

a diet heavy in oxalate-rich foods like rhubarb, spinach, chocolate, nuts, and beer.

There are also uric acid stones which are red-brown in color and radiolucent under an

Xray, meaning that they're transparent to x-rays and don't show up very well.

At a physiologic pH, uric acid loses a proton and becomes a urate ion, which then binds

sodium, forming monosodium urate which crystallizes and ultimately forms uric acid stones.

Since uric acid is a breakdown product of purines, a very common reason for high levels

of uric acid is consuming lots of purines.

Purine-rich foods include shellfish, anchovies, red meat or organ meat.

High levels of uric acid can also cause gouty arthritis, most commonly in the first metatarsal

joint which is the base of the big toe.

A fourth type are struvite stones, sometimes called infection stones, which are a composite

mix of magnesium, ammonium, and phosphate.

These form when bacteria like Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, and Morganella morganii

use the enzyme, urease, to split urea into ammonia and carbon dioxide.

The ammonia makes the urine more alkaline and favors precipitation of magnesium, ammonium,

and phosphate into jagged crystals called "staghorns" because they often branch

into the several of the renal calyces and look like the horns of a staghorn deer.

Like the calcium phosphate stones, struvite stones are dirty white and radiopaque under

an X-ray.

Risk factors include urinary tract infections, as well as vesicoureteral reflux and obstructive

uropathies, both of which are also risk factors for urinary tract infections.

A tiny minority of stones are cystine stones, composed of the amino acid cystine which sometimes

leaks into the urine to crystalize and form a yellow or light pink colored stone that

is radiopaque under X-ray.

Finally, there are some rare stones made of xanthine, which, just like uric acid, is a

byproduct of purine breakdown.

These stones, also like uric acid stones, are red-brown in color and radiolucent under

an X-ray.

Kidney stones can cause dull or localized flank pain in the mid to lower back on both

sides, as well as renal colic, which is a sharp pain and is a bit of a misnomer because

the pain is usually constant rather than intermittent.

The pain is caused by the dilation, stretching, and spasm caused by obstruction of the ureter,

and is typically worse at the ureteropelvic junction and down the ureter, and subsides

once the stone gets to the bladder.

Stones that are less than 5mm across are usually passed within hours.

Diagnosis involves a history and physical exam, as well as imaging studies like ultrasound

and CT scans, and finally urinalysis because it might show microscopic or gross hematuria

or blood in the urine.

Treatment or management includes hydrating an individual to reverse the process of precipitation.

Also, medications might be given, to help reduce pain, reduce stone formation, like

potassium citrate, and to help stones pass through, like alpha adrenergic blockers and

calcium channel blockers.

Also shockwave lithotripsy might be used, which is a noninvasive treatment that uses

high-intensity acoustic pulses that travel through the body to break up the kidney stones.

Finally, surgery and stent placement might be needed for larger stones.

Alright, as a quick recap, nephrolithiasis is the formation of kidney stones, which form

when solutes precipitate out into crystals in the urine.

The most common type of stones are calcium oxalate stones, though other types include

uric acid stones and struvite stones.

How to Start a Planner - Duration: 5:44.

Help me translate this video into YOUR language! Feel free to leave your name here to credit yourself! ^_^

Hey guys! What's up?

Today I'm gonna give you guys some tips on how to start a planner!

As always, please keep in mind that the tips that I'm about to give you here are my personal tips

so they may or may not work for you

So feel free to take the tips that you find useful and just ignore the ones that you think are not suitable for your needs

Well then, let's begin!

Choosing a Planner

There are many types of planners to choose from

There's a monthly planner, weekly planner, daily planner

planning pad, to-do list, a bullet journal

or just a regular notebook

There are also apps that you can use on your phone or on your laptop

but I personally prefer to use paper or books because I prefer writing to typing

I used to use a daily planning pad like this which already has the time stamps written there

but I found that I ended up never following the schedule that I wrote there

because the activities in my days were often changing

and that type of planner is so precise and tightly packed

that it leaves no room for free time or unplanned activities

That's why this year I've decided to use a bullet journal which is a much more flexible system than my previous planner pad

But of course you guys are free choose any planner that you want

One thing to keep in mind when choosing a planner is

if you decide to use a book planner

then make sure to choose one that has a flexible binding and that can lay flat on the table

The reason for this is because it'll be hard to write down in your planner if you can't fully open it and lay it down flat

And if you force it to open, you may end up tearing off the pages

So make sure to choose a planner with a flexible binding

Writing Tools

Choose the writing tools that you find comfortable using

I personally like to use pens, coloured pencils, and coloured markers, but to each their own

Just because a lot of people use colourful tools for their planners, doesn't mean you have to as well

You can simply use a pen or a pencil to write in your planner, it's up to you

Remember that the point here is to plan things so the decorating comes second

Start planning as soon as you can

Don't wait for the first day of the month or worse,

the first day of the year to start using a planner

You can start a planner any day you want

If you don't want to feel like you've wasted some blank pages because you've missed out on planning for that month

it will probably be a good idea to use a more flexible planner like a plain notebook

because you can just start planning on any page you want without being limited to write in the assigned pages

A bullet journal is a great option for this

But of course, feel free to use any planner that you want, I'm merely giving you guys a suggestion here

Be realistic with what you're planning

This is something that I used to be guilty of

I used to over plan my days without leaving any free time for unplanned activities

So once something went out of schedule

then my whole plan for the day would be ruined

and everything that I had previously planned became useless in the end

So be sure to leave some free time in your planner for some unplanned activities

Don't put too many tasks in your planner

Be realistic and just plan the important things that you have to accomplish for the day

and leave some time for the things that might happen outside your schedule

Don't strive to be perfect

A lot of people are often too scared to start a planner

or they may quit in the middle using a planner because

they feel like that they have to make their planner look as beautiful as possible

They forget that the point of using a planner is to simply plan things and to keep your tasks & activities organised

NOT to make turn your planner into a scrapbook

You don't have to decorate your planner if you don't want to

You don't have to write in cursives and use different colours for different tasks

You can just keep things simple and monochromatic if that's your thing

Everyone is different

Some people love decorating their planners because

they feel happy and therapeutic when they make their planners look beautiful

while some people prefer to keep their planners plain, simple and free from fancy colours and decorations

Just do whatever feels right for you

Again, our main goal here is to organise our activities and get things done

Set times to write in your planner everyday

I usually spend around 5-10 minutes before going to bed planning things for the next day

I choose this time because during the night I can get a clear idea of what I want to do the next day

and I can move the tasks that I didn't manage to finish on that current day to the upcoming day

Plus, the night time is a quiet time I can spend relaxing

and doing the things that I want while everyone else in the house is already asleep

I find it relaxing to just sit down in front of my desk and write things down in my planner

and sometimes decorate it with some pictures and stickers

Of course you don't have to plan things at night. You can also do it in the morning

I recommend doing it either at the beginning or at the end of the day

because that's the time where you're free from doing other activities

Remember to set a few minutes every day to write in your planner to get into the habit of it

Write your task clearly

Make sure you include enough detail when you're writing a task in your planner

so you'll be able to understand it later

For example, if you want to buy some apples at the grocery store

don't just write the word: "Apple"

Write down: "Buy apples at grocery store" instead

Aside from making your plan more concrete

it will also motivate you to finish it more if you write down the whole thing

instead of just writing one ambiguous word like 'apple' lol

Don't worry about skipping days

If you're using a daily planner and you happen to forget planning for a day or maybe a few days

then don't give up and stop using your planner completely

Just resume planning from the current day

Again, you shouldn't strive to be perfect with this whole planning thing because it will only stress you out

It's completely normal to skip a few days every now and then, especially when you're just starting out

You don't have to beat yourself over it and give up on planning completely

Just make sure to get into a better habit of planning next time

so you can plan your things more regularly

and prevent yourself from skipping too many days writing in your planner

So those were some of the tips I could share with you guys, I hope you found them helpful

If you have any other tips you'd like to share with us, then feel free to leave them in the comments below!

Also, don't forget to follow me on my social medias if you haven't already

Trump Is Right Obama Killed Far More People Than Putin - Duration: 3:23.

Trump Is Right Obama Killed Far More People Than Putin.

by Baxter Dmitry.

When President Trump said You think our countrys so innocent? to Bill OReilly

on Fox News he showed why he is the most effective politician in the country right now.

By cutting straight through the crap and speaking to people on the level they deserve, Trump

proved he is the leader for our times.

Establishment politicians have lost the voters because they continue pushing out-of-date

cliches and easily-seen-through lies.

People are tired of politicians talking down to them, assuming they are stupid, and believing

they will fall for the same old three card trick.

Trump tells it like it is.

Warts and all.

And he was right America isnt so innocent.

As hard as this is for the shadowy elite to accept, Americans saw through them long ago.

They have witnessed eight years of Obama.

They dont want to be molly-coddled with hope-and-change BS.

They want leaders who talk to them like adults.

Trumps predecessor in the Oval Office may have talked a good game, but the simple fact

is he killed far more people than the Democrats boogeyman in the Kremlin.

Per Newslogue:

If you take every single war that Putin has overseen, either as President or as Prime

Minister, and include his extrajudicial killings and assassinations of political rivals, you

still get nowhere near the body count of the Bush and Obama administrations.

Adding the least conservative estimates of the total death tolls of the Second Chechen

War, the Russo-Georgian War, the undeclared warfare in Donbas and elsewhere in Ukraine,

the insurgency in the North Caucasus, Russias involvement in the Syrian conflict, and a

sprinkling of assassinations and disappearances, you get around three hundred thousand deaths.

The least conservative estimates of Americas Iraq invasion alone are over a million deaths,

which is five percent of the population of the entire country.

Thats more than enough to make my point, but feel free to add in the tens of thousands

of killings in Afghanistan, the tens of thousands killed in Americas unforgivable toppling

of Gaddafi in Libya, the unknowable number of people killed in Obamas drone strikes

(ten times as many as Bush), and the hundreds of thousands killed in the Syrian conflict,

largely due to Americas fanning the flames of insurgency and actively arming terrorist

groups with the goal of toppling the Syrian government, and any of the seven countries

Obama has dropped tens of thousands of bombs on every year.

So, maybe when someone suggests that America has no room to talk when it comes to the subject

of killings, theyre not doing something outrageous or unreasonable.

This doesnt excuse the actions of Putin, but the rest of the world would be grateful

if America could go ahead and drop the holier-than-thou schtick when it comes to violently ending

peoples lives.

A lot more self awareness from the most powerful military force on the planet can only be a

good thing.

Savior- the electric car?! - Duration: 1:53.

I'm Gregory Seltz speaker of the Lutheran Hour, welcome to the power of faith in real

life.

I just got out of a Tesla. That's a beautiful car, isn't it?

It's a car of a friend of mine.

She loves it, but I'm not sold on it yet...why?

Because of rechargeable batteries.

I mean, I was thinking about this.

This is a beautiful car, but what if you got to get to Chicago?

What happens if it runs out of a charge, where are you going to find a place to plug it in?

How long does it take?

I was thinking about that the other day with other rechargeable batteries.

I'm at the airport, people are scrambling to do what?

Recharge their phones.

I saw people on the floor, laying on benches, I even saw this one guy sitting on the floor

next to the bathroom just to get a charge.

You know, it seems like with all of our great technology there's always a time when it runs

out of what we need.

Why am I talking about all this?

Well, because when it really comes to real life and salvation, there is a power that we all

need that we can't have on our own, and it's the power of the grace of God in Jesus Christ.

The Bible calls the Gospel the power of God for salvation.

And you don't need to go looking for a place to plug in for that, that outlet comes to

you in the Holy word of God.

It comes all the way to your hands, to your eyes, to your ears, so that you can have this

power in your hearts.

That's what really matters in life.

Now listen, I love technology, I Iove the new things that we've got, but they never really

replace what we really need, which is a faith relationship to God in Jesus Christ.

And that's what you have in the power of the Gospel.

That's the power to live in real life.

Trust me on it.

Have a great day.

Colorful Fabric Dyeing Techniques | World Crafted - Duration: 5:13.

- Hey, friends, it's Robert.

On today's episode of World Crafted,

we are headed to the Indonesian island of Java

to examine an ancient technique

of creating uniquely patterned and hand-dyed fabric.

Then, we'll reimagine this tradition

using a modern DIY method to create

a beautiful custom throw pillow for your home.

(lively violin music)

In the country of Indonesia,

there is an art form so old

that it's said to predate written records.

Batik is a technique of wax-resist dying applied to cloth,

creating highly patterned and colorful fabric.

Traditionally, a specialized tool is used

to meticulously draw patterns in melted wax

directly onto fabric.

Then the fabric is dyed, and once it has dried,

the wax-resist is removed.

The areas treated with the resist

keep their original color,

and the contrast between the dyed and undyed areas

form the pattern.

Now, I wanna show you how to create a faux batik method,

replacing wax with the unexpected material of glue.

This is not standard white craft glue,

but rather the gel glue used by children in school.

The gel format doesn't run, and it's washable,

making it a perfect resist.

Traditionally, batik can take skilled artisans

months to complete,

but this reimagined method yields wonderful results

in a short amount of time.

While batik is typically applied to fabric

for the creation of clothing,

I'm gonna create our faux batik on a ready-made

cotton throw pillow cover.

Prepare the fabric by pre-washing it

and ironing it flat.

And to prevent the front and back panels of the pillowcase

from sticking together,

insert a piece of cardboard wrapped in wax paper.

In general, there are two categories of batik design,

freeform designs and geometry motifs.

To create a freeform design,

you can simply squeeze your glue directly from the bottle

and draw a design onto the fabric.

But I'm gonna show you how to create a geometric pattern,

applying the glue with a stamping technique.

I was inspired by a traditional pattern from Java

called kawaung, which dates back to the 13th century.

This pattern consists of intersecting circles

and was originally reserved for Javanese royalty.

It's also thought by some

that the resulting ovals in the pattern

resemble the fruit of the Indonesian kapak tree.

To stamp our designing glue,

I'm using a simple round cookie cutter.

Most cookie cutters have a sharp edge

designed to cut through dough

and a rolled edge on the opposite side.

We're going to be stamping with the rolled edge

for a bolder stamped line.

You could also use the lip of a drinking glass or a jar.

Squeeze a puddle of the gel glue

roughly the same diameter as your cookie cutter

onto a plate.

Dip the rolled edge into the glue

and then apply to the pillow case.

The kawung pattern begins with the grid of

side by side circles,

and I'm creating four rows.

Take your time with this process,

and just know in advance that your resulting circles

won't be perfect, and that's totally okay.

You'll also notice that the gel glue I'm using

is tinted blue, but once it's dry

it will be completely clear.

Once you've created the grid of circles,

we're going to create a second overlapping grid

to complete the kawung pattern.

Position your cookie cutter over the area

created between four circles and stamp.

My second grid will have three rows.

When you've completed stamping your gel glue resist,

set the pillowcase aside

and allow it to completely dry.

Once the glue is fully dry,

it's time to apply the fabric paint.

There is a wide selection of color choices available,

so go with something that matches your home decor.

You'll also wanna select a fabric paint

that doesn't require you to heat set it,

as this would affect the glue resist.

Alternately, you can use watered down acrylic craft paint.

Just know that the colors won't end up being as bold

once you've rinsed and washed the fabric.

You can brush on the paint,

carefully filling in each area of the design,

or you can opt to paint in an overall freeform fashion.

If you decide to paint in individual sections like I am,

be certain to overlap the glue lines just a bit

this ensures you cover the whole area.

Any portion of the fabric covered by the glue

will resist the paint.

When you finish painting, allow it to dry

according to the paint manufacturer's directions.

Then, soak the fabric in warm water

and begin to rub away the glue with your fingers.

This will take a few minutes.

You'll begin to notice the design emerging,

revealing the areas of the fabric

that resisted the paint.

Once the glue is entirely removed,

thoroughly rinse the pillowcase,

then wash and dry it.

You can then fill it with a pillow insert,

and it's ready to keep you company

on your sofa, side chair, or bed.

I do hope that you'll give this project a try,

and I also want to encourage you

to do an online image search for Batik

to see some of the amazing patterns

created by talented Javanese artisans.

Thank you so much for watching.

Is Porn Feminist? - Duration: 3:33.

Is porn feminist?

Is watching porn feminist?

Is making porn feminist?

These are conversations I hear all the time in feminist and sex-related circles, so I

just wanted to throw my two cents out there.

I think the first thing we always need to ask when talking about porn is what IS porn?

If we go with the basic Wikipedia definition, porn is any "portrayal of sexual subject

matter for the purpose of sexual arousal."

So porn can be a hardcore film from a major production company.

It can be an indie company of three people shooting artsy queer sex.

It can be independent performers selling clips, cam shows, or photos.

Or a married couple sharing their sex tapes online.

Or Tumblr users writing smutty Doctor Who fanfiction.

I feel like it's a weirdly controversial statement to say that I don't think porn

is inherently anything.

It's not a monolith.

When these discussions come up about if porn is degrading, or empowering, or feminist,

or oppressive, I just find it so strange…

Because it can absolutely be all of those things!

I don't know why as soon as the topic of porn comes up any concept of nuance seems

to go straight out the window.

Imagine trying to apply those conversations to any other entertainment genre.

"Is comedy feminist?"

Well, no…

There are feminist comedians, and there are very-not-feminist comedians, but comedy as

a concept has no political, social, or ideological associations.

"Is cinema degrading?"

Of course not.

Certainly there are degrading movies, and people can have demeaning and abusive experiences

on film sets and within the film industry.

But the art form of cinema is objectively neutral.

Porn is no different.

It encompasses a million different kinds of depictions and experiences, and I think putting

all of that in the same box — be it negative or positive — is not particularly useful.

As people insist on maintaining a one-dimensional view of this multi-dimensional industry, it

can be difficult to move past these conversations to what I consider to be more important ones.

Conversations like how to best support porn performers, fight stigma, and ensure their

fundamental labor rights and how to teach the public to think critically about porn

like they do other forms of media.

But I also can't really blame people for having a reductive view of porn when in all

likelihood they've only been exposed to a very narrow sampling of what porn is and can

be.

In 2017, when most people think of porn, they think of the ubiquitous "free" porn tube

sites like PornHub, YouPorn, RedTube, etc.

But what most people don't realize is that most of the top free porn sites are owned

by one company called MindGeek (and the ones that aren't are for the most part just cloning

MindGeek's model).

So when you do a general search for porn, the top results you get aren't going to

be a fair representation of a vast and diverse industry, they're going to be a homogenized

selection of what a single corporation believes its target audience — i.e. straight men

— want.

Imagine only getting one TV channel and thinking that, say, Fox News is representative of all

television.

I'm going to link a really fantastic article in the description about how the MindGeek

porn monopoly influences the types of porn we see and the types of porn we seek out.

But suffice it to say, whatever your view of porn is, I guarantee that if you really

look you will always be able to find porn that subverts those expectations.

And that's why I'll never be comfortable painting it all with the same brush.

What are your thoughts?

Let me know down in the comments.

Thanks for watching, and I'll see you next time!

New Jurassic Park Remote T-Rex Vs King Kong Skull Island Unboxing - Duration: 11:01.

New Jurassic Park Remote T-Rex Vs King Kong Skull Island Unboxing

Jurassic Park toy

this is a remote-control t-rex throw the

lost world so this is old-school remote

controls the wire

it's got like two button it has like

roaring action so if you push it down

here open floor

mom way up i mean check this guy out

I like that and I he's supposed to walk

but he does not i mean he moves his leg

but he doesn't walk the thing is that he

has rollers here which I covered because

with the rollers he just went back and

forth so i figured if i covered the

rollers since the legs are moving maybe

he would walk but there might be

something actually wrong with it because

he's not walking even if I cover the

wheel that you can see his feet to move

back and forth so it's almost like he's

dancing in place but ah let's go ahead

and take a look at this guy overall I

mean he is entirely covered and rubber

like everywhere as you can see this is

an older one you can see it has a lot

more crack so I got the JP logo there up

you know pretty good detail for all

remote control

Dino a lot of times when you get to like

the remote control type dinos they're

not all that great detail like it's that

rubber skin

ah nice authentic coloring it's like God

darker green with like God black mixed

in ic orange in the cracks here but I

don't know if that's just permit age or

possibly they had an orange color and it

or are they did do great job detailing

this guy's head

I mean this is all rubber so it is a lot

more detailed and then

you see there you can like live if you

let open involved to way off even with

your hands so this is cool this would

even be fun to play with with out a

remote off he's not all that different

from a lot of the other odd Jurassic

Park dinos even without the remote

what is that you could openly good way

out sort of like that dominance rex the

original one that I he does have the

tiny little spindly arms sawed detail

wise they did a really great job with

this dino and then like I said here is

the speaker and here is where the remote

cable actually goes in so these older

ones they did not have radio control

they have the little remote so here you

got lost world jurassic park remote one

button moves his legs the other button

opens his mouth and make roaring noise

through the speaker and then this uses

off for double way battery so I mean

it's cool

on this one you could actually find

rather inexpensive on ebay if you want

to get one of the drastic Park dinosaurs

that are like rubber and you don't want

to spend a fortune

this would probably be a good one for

you and here he is size comparison to

the animatronics Spinosaurus as you can

see the animatronic is a bit bigger

bought for this guy

if you can't him and working good

working condition you're going to say

probably about 250 this one here i

actually got that long i think for $27

so I mean here is like the red wreck

very similar in size and like I said

it's all rubber right so even

if you get this guy with the remote not

working

you can't really move his legs but you

could move his off head but you could

manipulate his head by just pushing on

his neck here so you could have them

open and closed his mouth so even

without the remote working or not he's

still a pretty good deal so off go ahead

and check out his stuff like i said this

one you could find for odd decent price

I mean I regulars we see these going for

about 30 and a lot of time under that so

I if you do like him like i said this is

one of this is going to be one of your

better buys if you want to get one of

the older dinos and there he is

ah there she is that mean and I one

other thing guys if you do like any of

the drastic world i knows you might want

to go out and buy what you could find

now because they did lose the license so

and i believe july of this year the

license transfers over i think to mattel

not hundred percent positive so those

diners are going to be God so if you

want to find any of them without

spending a fortune

I would go and look right now

yeah that was a lot of fun and if you

enjoyed the video make sure you click

Subscribe and the thumbs up button down

below the video in today's secret word

is the word going to put that in the

comments section below the video I know

you remember my club look to the video

and there's that all the corner lot more

fun with you and I click the boxes below

for a lot more fun videos that if you

RHOD: Where Are the Real Housewives of Dallas Now? (Season 1) | Bravo - Duration: 3:46.

( music )

- You own your sh--. And you tell your story...

- That's why she's accusing me of not owning it.

- She can't do it.

So she's judging you for doing it.

I thought I moved back to Dallas to escape

the craziness of L.A.

Little did I know the society world here is a monster.

- Oh, my gosh, it's so crowded.

- But at the end of the day, I lay my head

next to Aaron Hendra.

- Let's talk about the ripped abs, the beautiful hair.

The-- Oh, no. Leave that to your imagination.

He basically rocks my world.

- Come here.

- Oh, gosh, that's like your job in life with me.

- I'm like, ooh, let me get that.

- I know, and you don't even care. You're like-- ah!

- I can't help it.

I'm turning 40 this year.

Looking at my gray hairs right now.

That's what I was doing. Okay, what?

- Thank you. - Oh, gosh.

- Love my husband.

He's in there cooking right now.

- I love ya.

- I really want to focus on my yoga practice.

And I want to be able to touch my feet to my head

for my 40th birthday.

- I'm over it!

- Oh, be careful. I don't want him to fall.

- Hang on.

- Okay, Travis.

- [Stephanie] Travis is hammered,

so the Byron is a success.

I've thrown two successful parties without a list.

I'm winning in life.

- Yeah.

Now it would probably be more of a success

if I'd let him have sex with me tonight.

But that is not gonna happen

because he is so drunk, he will pass out on top of me

and then I will die.

( laughs )

And God knows who would raise our children.

- I'll babysit. - Can you imagine?

- Bye, honey. - Bye.

- You okay? - I'm fine.

- Feel like you and I hit it off in Austin.

And we had a really great moment.

- And I felt really bad that I am personally responsible

for destroying those moments.

I made a mistake and I can apologize

and that's the best I can do.

- Well, thank you for saying that.

If you would have said, oh, I shouldn't have did that...

- No, there's no excuse.

- And I'd be like, "You're doing it again!"

- There's no excuse. No, there is no excuse.

They say alcoholics hit rock bottom.

Austin was rock bottom.

I went bat sh-- crazy.

But I'm taking responsibility for everything I've done.

And if anyone can make changes

and become a better person, it's me.

I am who I am. And I'm gonna fall again.

- Bye, guys!

- You're my only real friend!

I learned that I absolutely can be wrong about someone.

I think that in a lot of ways

that I was wrong about my marriage.

And I think that it takes two to make it work.

The only thing that I wasn't wrong about is Stephanie.

She'll always be my best friend.

- Okay, let's just take a little bit.

Just a little shot? - Yeah.

- Girl, I love you.

- But she does fart a lot.

I'm definitely not wrong about that.

( laughs )

- Do I have to prove my love to you?

- Yes.

- One, two, three!

( screams )

- Oh, my God!

- Let's go take another shot.

Look, my boobs.

Speed Power & Agility On The Field - Duration: 5:12.

Hello welcome to baseball player

university I'm Jeff Forney your host of

baseball player university speed power and

agility it is a must for the athlete a

baseball athlete needs to have

rotational force straight away force and the

ability to cut and change direction that's

exactly what we're working on today so

let's go on out we got some guys doing

some great work setup in stations coaches

you can implement this in your practice

and let's get our players explosive with

speed power and agility let's go

All right welcome to our Speed Power and Agility

let's talk speed power and agility

training center we've been talking about

good and infield work we've been talking

about rotational powers a hitter now

this is the physical component where we

come down here and actually start to

build that we're going to show you some

drills that helped create that good

footwork drills build torso strength

first want to start out with it right

over here with Ty it's called our 5-10-10 drill

we have cones first cone is five yards

the next cone is 10 what Ty is going to do

is start in a good athletic position he's

gonna cross over

he's going to come to this cone right

here boys he hits this cone he's gonna

rotate with good explosion and sprint

back to that one again rotate with good

explosive sprint to that one

rotate again with good explosian and sprint

through what it ends up being is some good

explosive sprints but we're looking for

here we have a bottle of energy right

here we want to make sure that we're not

bending over letting that bottle of energy spill

baseball is a rotational sport when we

rotate it needs to be forceful the same

way when we run we change direction it's

nice and explosive when we come back

that's how we create our jumps that's how

we create our turns and everything that

we do in the game so Ty lets

demonstrate this first one here another thing

that we make sure when he plants we

don't want to see his butt sinking again

he's just redirecting going in a

straight line

all right go ahead well good across

see the good rotational explosion

we're going to talk about that a lot

we've got a sniper right there that's ok

that happens sometime we'll come back

and give another chance of that but boy

rotational acceleration everything we do

in baseball we come out of the rotation

sometime we steal bases when we're getting

our crossover when we're hitting when we're throwing

it all happens there that's why that core is so

important so Steve is gonna demonstrate some

core work for Russian twist boy again

working that back is fixed abs are nice and

tight we engage those ABS it's just like

we're trying to compress them rotate be

explosive same we hit same way we throw Blares is

right here with a little hurdle work

lateral hurdels alright again want to see a

good crossover core maintain that core

go ahead

well now you know when he changed

direction he does not let this way to

get out over his knee that weight gets

out over the knee we're in trouble to gets

out over th knee this way we're in

trouble

alright very good and the last one we will

come down here and demonstrate Ty is going

to be here on the lateral hurdles now he's

gonna move laterally down the hurdles

right here we want to put 121212 all the

way down keeping my feet under a lot of

time that first movement we take a jump

or crossover is a short quick step we

need that to be explosive have our feet up under us

when we move on the ladder we don't want to

move on our toes you get out of balance

move on the instep of your feet right

here that's where you create foot power

toe up heal up so we can fire and create

good explosion here alright Ty go ahead and come

down this direction when he gets to the

next ladder he's going to

turn around go the other way to face me

face me face me this way yep and move

that a boy

good job so we just kind of using two ladders

here to change direction and what we're

gonna do we're gonna put these guys in stations

this is a great way to end your practice

some conditioning they go through this one

or two times man they got a great

workout Ty you get started right down

the 5-10-10 Blair right here on the lateral

hurdles Steve right here I'm going to rotate them

about every 10 seconds

alright you can maintain this 10 to 15

seconds I'm going to rotate them every 10 seconds

and just kind of watch to make sure their

keeping their body in a good athletic position alright

here we go guys ready go

good Blair good Ty good Steve

all right very good and rotate all right

now you can see they're just quick to

the next station this is quick and

explosive go!

boy in about 45 seconds - to a minute then we

completed the circuit of core work

agility work good lateral movement good

rotational turn

that's how we start developing a

complete athlete that's what we're

looking for when were training down here

alright rotate a quick guys all right all right

good job all right there you have it we're going to keep

these guys working remember the

physical component is just as big as the

skill part and we like to bring it all

to here at baseball player university and

we're gonna keep on working we'll see

you back here next time

hey come on rotate good job guys

any information again on this show

thanks a lot for watching baseball

player university remember the things we

show you on the show take

responsibility go out your backyard tell

your parents to take you to the park and

work on getting better at this game

until next week

His Peace always and remember this is

baseball player University where the

field is your classroom

Reversible Bandana Bib | EASY How to | Whitney Sews - Duration: 3:19.

Hi everyone! I'm Whitney and I post sewing and crafting tutorials here on my youTube

channel Whitney Sews! My younger daughter Skyler is teething right now and she is drooling

all over the place, so in order to keep her clothes dry she wears bandanna style bibs

a lot. So today I'm going to show you how to make them. They are very quick and easy

and are great gifts for new moms. Before we get into the tutorial, if you haven't subscribed

already you can do so by clicking the red subscription button down below. Now onto the

tutorial.

You will first need a bandanna bib pattern. I traced a bib we already had and added a

¼ inch seam allowance. If you don't have a bib to start with you can make your own

pattern or try to find one online. I will have a pic of this one on a grided ruler on

my website if you want to use it as a guide.

Then you will need to select your materials. Fabrics that are soft and absorb well are

best. I selected a soft minky type of fabric for use side and used flannel for the other

because it's all I had that matched. And since I'm doing my sew your stash challenge I wasn't

going to run out and buy anything new.

Cut one bib piece out of each material. My pattern is designed to be cut on the fold.

Place the two pieces right sides together and sew around the outer side with a ¼ inch

seam allowance. Leave a 3 to 4 inch gap in one straight side for turning. Trim down the

seam allowance at the tip and small curves and cut little snips in the longer curve.

Then turn the entire bib right sides out through the opening. Smooth out the seams so they

lay flat and top stitch all the way around to close up the hole. All that's left is to

add the closure. I love adding snaps to projects like this, but you can use velcro or a button

if that's all you have. There will be a link below if you want to check out the snap setter

I'm using.

This is a super quick project and you can whip up several of them in one afternoon.

If you liked this project make sure to hit like and share this video to help grow the

Whitney Sews family to 100,000 subscribers!

If you want to check out some of my other projects for babies and kids I will have a

couple linked over to the side here and if you haven't subscribed you can do so by clicking

my picture right down there. Make sure to come back next week for a new video and until

then, Happy Sewing!
