Hey, wellcome to Revientor Reborn, today I am going to star a new serie with a new plane
It´s the AJS-37 Viggen, I like the visual aspect of this plane, I love it. If one of the first planes that got computers onboard
and one of those rare fighters that have reversal thrust like an airliner
I have to tell you that I am going to give a ton of love tho this module, even more than to the mirage2000 that you have the tutorials in my channel,
I will try yo cover all the aspect, far away from the reality, I will follow the manual, but some bug or thing that do not work as expected I will mention here how should work
and I will try to do it as realistic as possible
It will be a ton of tutorials, focus in the systems not in the protocols like how to use the tower, for that I have other videos
I am already in the cockpit, first of all I will close the canopy, to avoid nose in youtube, due an hercules is going to go over here
you can close it any time, the idea is keep it open, for in case that you have to go out of the plane, you can unfasten your belt and jump, because the ejection seat is not ready
first of all, turn on the batteries, then push the master caution warning button
and now I am going to turn on the internal lights, here at the left back
the more back knob is the instrument light, and the forward one have two knobs
the top one is for the panel lights and the down one is the flood light to see better the cockpit
now I am going to use the parking brake, push and keep the brakes or use the W key and then this handle use it
and now you can release the brakes anad the parking brake are on
turn on the low pressure fuel valve
turn on the hi pressure fuel valve in the throttle
activate the generator, to get AC when the engine is on
now one test, use the throttle, and check if the nº 1 2 3 turn one gradually
one light test here, check if all of them are on
turn external light one, the anti collision, the red one, navigation in bri or night intensity, but in this version only works in both modes as bright
the position light, this white ones, the red one is nav.
and finally the formation, is that green line in there, with the formation also the tail number is lighted up
with this right back knob, there have 3 position, is the intensity of the formation light, but also there is only the full intensity working the other ones do nothing
this do not work in DCS 1.5 or DCS 2
there is also a big bug in DCS 2 when you activate the taxi light the whole cockpit is lighted up, totally unrealistic
for that I use DCS 1.5 for the videos
let´s turn on the engine
here, keep pressed for 2 second the start switch, and release, now check the TEMPERATURE, RPMs and fuel pressure,
a hercules is incoming, now the plane is starting a small turbine that will move the engines turbine,
there are a series of light changing in the warning panel, as you can see the start light changed
because now the small turbine is already on, and around 55-65% RPMS the engine will be ond and autonomous
or that the other small turbine will be go off automatically
now the temperature is around 300ºC, the lights of start procedure are off, and the nozzle is totally open
there is the needle
the RPMs are in 60%
if the engine go over 65% RPMS itselfs, something is wrong and you must change the plane
if the engine do not get the necessary RPMs to go autonomous, you can perform 3 attempts with the battery to turn on the engine , but you have to wait at least one minute between attempts
the pressure is just the needed for idle
all the warning light are off, this is for time you have to wait a few moments to see all of them off when you have the engine on
the flight computer activate itself just wait
do not forget to insert the Data Cartridge (I almost forget) is here left behind the seat
once here do not forget to check the landing gear is down, and the auto throttle is up
now it´s time to load the DATA CARTRIDGE, for that we need go to the console
you have to select the LOLA position, the second one in counter clockwise from top
set the IN position to introduce the datas, and type the data 9099
and now use the takeoff waypoint LS I think is called with the non ingles labels
the first number flash a few times, that is because the data is loading, once all is ceros all the data is loaded
let´s perform other test really fast, this TEST button , as you can some red light are one, and the stick just birate a few times
look again, the vibration and the sound
this light is fire GTS is the turbine,
let´s do other test, this do not work as the manual say, but in theory one day will do it
here you have to select the right position the last one CURS, and set the OUT function
now you have to push the takeoff button or LS in the original labels, and using the button TV, this is a HOTAS Button, I press it,
but this is bugged and do not work, thang to that TV the system will be in test mode, now you have to push the waypoint 1, and check the heading and distance parameters according your kneeboard
you have to do this with the next waypoint and check the distance and heading, in theory if this works, the test is placing your plane virtually in the previous selected waypoint and you get the distance from that waypoint to the next wp and the heading, but here it´s bugged and is all the time the distance from your current position
you will check that data with your kneeboard and must mach but in DCS is not working
as final procedure for the text, you will have to select the landing waypoint and must mach with the current position, if not the system when get other master mode will update the coordinates to mach them
let´s check that the time clock have teh good time, for that select time anc click the takeoff waypoint, in out mode you get the hour, in the manual say you have to keep pressed the takeoff waypoint
the clock in the panel is not working also, must have a crono using the T key and the button in the panel must work, but does nothing, using the T in theory the first press will turn on the timmer, a second one stopped and the third one will reset it
then you can set up some options here, for example the HUD, the manual recommend slave in OFF, and the altitude by the barometric system
the barometric altimeter you have to set it up according the current pressure or what tower tell you
do the same with the alt altimeter
and now time to set up the radio, this will need a video for explain the whole thing
for the ramp start, if you do not know in which button you have the ATC, you can always set frequency using the dial
set the - channel, and with this knobs you can change the frequency there is kind of dark in the video but you can change the whole freciency
then you can set the airbase frequency if you do not know what channel you got it
time to thes the autopilot
this is kind of buggy, the normal behavior is get a caution tone, but now looks the AP is working, when should not
but any way, the trim must be commanded until the end,
now it´s time to check the trims, use the hotas to untrim what the AP did
set the trim to 0, then if you have a takeoff chart that inform to you what trim use with a determined whig be free to set it up
the roll trim is the key o and do not work even with the mouse, is not modelated... but normally you will have the roll in 0 by defaul
and check the yaw, there is a invisible guard there, you need to remove it before use the knob
and now set 0, here the tutorial say you have to see some pin... the manual say nothing about that pin... I don´t know what pin is speaking or where to look...
we can turn on the taxi light now, is over here...
the switch beside the taxi is a emergency internal light, is not implemented in DCS
in theory according the manual is one over there also, but I do not find it
there is a few thing that we can do, turn on the oxygen, here is the indicator
also activate the a LEGACY switch
other chek is for the reversal, now with engine on, you must get the green light and also the red transonic light
do not forget to turn of the reversal when finish the test
let do this test again, and see the same indication, do not forget to check the fuel gauge works as expected, go down to 29% while the test button is pressed
and the console code 1099
warm up the ECM, electronic countermeasures, set the A mode in the J submode, in this posit the system is in warm up mode
turn on the RwR, you can set visual or both (with audio)and set up as you desired
here is the RWR represented in the outer circle of the hsd
let´s do a TEST for the radar, here in this knob there is a TK option, full down in counterclockwise, set it
and now you can also set the proper illumination of the screen as you like
and now we set up the nav mode, the next one in clockwise movement of the default ramp start position
check the radar parameters as desires, in land or sea mode, log, pas in off
the fly recording is bugger, is a 3 way switch and you only see movement in two of them, but you can heard 3 differents positions
there is on off and I suppose auto, to record when you fire
set the volume of all warnings here set the missile warning but in fact is all of the caution sounds
check the 15.5º light it up when pressed, and set the HUD, the HUD turns on automatically when you set the nav mode
be sure that the HUD is in the down position with this handle
the HUD you can set the bright with this knob over here
and I thin that is all... is set in baro off...
you can make a engine test, use the wheel brake pressed and set around 80% rpms to see if keep the parameters

over 80% maybe the plane move
set the parking brake again
to take out the parking brake you only need to press and release the brake pedals
with this is the plane ready for the mission, may be some weapons need a special tratament here , but for now it´s all done
I forget to tell you at the beginning of the video, check this breakers circuits are in the IN position
if there was a risk of ice, you can turn on the anti-ice but that will make loos around 1,5% or 3% of thrust power in the engine
we are ready for takeoff with this
do not forget turn on the IFF, but this is only for fun because that does nothing in DCS
here you can set the IFF on
you can set the c code but nothing more and is kind of useless just do it to mimic reality
