Do you mind if I join you?

- That dude is talking to you. - Oh, no, sorry.

You.

- Not you, it was me. - Excuse me?

Can you kind of beat it 'cause you're a distraction.

Hey!

What brings you down here? You on vacation here with your boyfriend?

Uh, no. I'm just here with, um...

...my mom.

Why are you dressed like Powder?

- The sun is very dangerous.

Mom. It feels like you're putting on a lot.

No, just here. You need it here.

Let's go out tonight. Hair, makeup, boobs. We're going out.

Emily, I am not going out at night.

Everything shouldn't be so scary.

Oh, it damn well should.

One in four tourists are kidnapped.

Not true.

One, two, three.... Somebody's missing.

I met a man.

Well, drinking with a man in a foreign country, huh?

It's a smart, responsible thing to do.

We need an amazing adventure.

Where the hell are we?

The scenic route.

Oh, my God!

What's your PIN number?

Do everything he says.

I already am before you told me to.

Okay, okay, okay.

One..two, three...four.

Oh, God.

I was gonna change it.

I will get us out of here.

I need you to believe in me.

Mom, come on!

Do you think maybe that guy is okay?

I saw his brains.

Why can't you just make me feel better?

Listen, I need your help. Mom and I got kidnapped.

State Department.

My mom and sister, they've been taken.

I imagine you have a commando squad.

Four underground criminals who were tried for a crime they didn't commit.

Sounds like the A-Team.

It is the A-Team. Do you have an A-Team?

Why did I ever let you talk me into this?

I should've just listened to you.

I love you.

That's just great, but we really gotta get out of here.

Yeah, we need to get outta here. Okay.

We have to fight, Mom!

We've got this.

Mom, that was awesome!

-You messed with the wrong bitches. -Yeah.

Go! I'm gonna count down. I'm gonna do it.

Please, please.

How to make tortilla de patatas! - don Quijote - Duration: 1:50.

Hi!

Hi, how are you?

Are you hungry?

Because I am!

Well, no problema!

Because we are going to make

a tasty, famous and simple Spanish dish -

A potato omelet!

I love potato omelets!

But I never knew how to make one.

Take notes!

We need:

Oil

Salt

Potatoes

Eggs

Very good!

Well, with this we can start

to make a potato omelet…

But, we are missing the onion!

The true potato omelet recipe

does not include onion.

Yes, it does!

Look…

Many Spanish people like their omelets without onion…

But others love it!

It is a controversial subject!

Anyways…

Making it is easy!

We just have to put oil

in a skillet

Peel the potatoes

And if you like onion,

add it!

And when it is hot

add the potatoes

Grab the eggs

and blend them

A little bit of salt

and add the potatoes

Leave the tortilla to cook for a while.

The amount of time depends on whether we prefer the tortilla more or less cooked.

We hope that you learned a little Spanish

and at the same time a common Spanish recipe.

There are many ways to make a potato omelet.

This was one of them!

Until the next recipe!

USB LED Lamp from Aliexpress - Duration: 1:37.

Today I show an overview of USB LED lamp.

Led is a compact gadget that works from a USB port.

Goods AliExpress

Reviews

Hello!

You at the channel "Goods AliExpress".

Bought bulb is a budget copy of flexible USB LED lamp Xiaomi MI.

Its value differs from the original in a better way and makes $0.55.

The functionality of the accessory is the same – if the power on lamp lights cool white light.

Button on/off switch is missing, so the device comes on immediately after connecting.

The lamp housing is made of flexible coloured plastic that easily bends and,

when required, remains in the desired position.

The choice is available 9 colors, I ordered blue.

The light from the gadget is quite bright, with a capacity of 1.2 W,

and it is quite enough for comfortable work with the laptop,

when you turn off the General light.

Also the USB LED lamp you can use on the road, connecting it to a Power Bank

or any other device with USB output.

In the house, the same lamp can be connected to USB wall charger or computer,

using it as a night light or just additional lighting the desired area.

Flashlight is incredibly simple, but very useful.

Buy it you will be able to link that I specify in the description under the video.

And you, dear spectators, do not forget to like and subscribe to the channel!

For Honor - Orochi, Samurai Hero Class - Beginner Tips, Combat Tutorial, Feats and Moveset - Duration: 5:29.

Hello and welcome to another for honor breakdown video, today we're gonna be looking at the

orochi hero Class.

The orochi belongs to the samurai, and is prepared to make quick work of enemy

You are also able to play but not customise the orochi from the start, if you wish to

customise it will cost steel to unlock.

Classed as an assassin hero, it's agile and a master of counter attacks.

Time to check out the orochi feats.

Every hero has four tiers of feats available to them, each tier has 3 abilities that can

either be passive or activated by the directional pad.

You will have to forgive if some of the icons display incorrectly, beta is beta after all.

Remember that feats unlock in tiers, once a tier is fully unlocked you move on to the

next.

The first tier of feats has 2 passives and 1 active ability

The first feat is bounty hunter, this causes your hero to regain some health and stamina

when you kill another hero.

The 2nd feat is Kiai, when activated this will stun the enemy

The 3rd and final feat in tier 1 is Iron lungs, allowing you to sprint even when you've

run out of stamina, perfect for escaping.

The second tier of feats has 2 active and 1 passive abilities.

The 1st feat is smoke bomb, allowing you to throw a smoke bomb in an area that causes

opponents to be enable to use guard lock.

The 2nd feat is Kunai, throws a dagger that deals low damage

The 3rd and final feat in tier 2 revenge attacks, this passively causes your attacks to fill

the revenge meter

The third tier of feats has 2 active abilities and 1 passive.

The 1st feat is Long bow, allowing you to fire an arrow from a long bow for moderate

damage, this can be used to kill fleeing targets or low health enemies at a distance.

The 2nd feat is Sharpen blade, whilst active this causes attacks to place a damage over

time debuff on the enemy.

The 3rd and final feat in tier 3 is Slip through, passively causes successful dodges to increase

your attack for a short time

The 4th and final tier of feats has 3 active abilities.

The 1st feat is Nail bomb, lays a trap that when triggered applies a bleed effect on enemy's

that pass through it.

The 2nd feat is fear itself.

Whilst active nearby enemies have lower stamina regeneration and lower defences.

The 3rd and final feat is arrow storm, allowing you to call in an aerial attack that deals

medium damage in multiple small areas.

Time to check out the orochi hero specific traits.

Renown and revenge mode appear to be available to all classes.

Defence Reflex causes your guard stance to only be active for a limited time, placing

a higher emphasis on timing your blocks.

Top light attack combo causes your second top light attack to be a guaranteed strike

if the first hit.

Hurricane blast cancel allows you to cancel out of a hurricane blast with wind gust, guardbreak

or a dodge.

Lets check out the orochi fighting style in action.

Their high agility, and good balance or harassment and counter attack ability's make the orochi

a deadly hero.

When guard locked, activate your block by moving the right stick in the direction of

the incoming attack, timing is key as your blocks last a very short time.

This is your major drawback for being able to inflict such high damage.

The orochi has 3 attack chains Crosswind slashes, 3 light attacks in a row

Lightning strikes twice, a heavy attack followed by two light attacks

And tidal wave, two heavy attacks in a row As always, switch between stances during attacks

to confuse the enemy When surrounded press light and heavy attack

at the same time to perform a zone attack Whilst sprinting press heavy attack to perform

a crashing wave Dodge forwards and press light attack to perform

a lightning strike Combine sideways dodges and light attacks

to perform the zephyr slash Hold right trigger after dodging backwards,

to wind up a storm rush, release to start the attack

Press back on the left stick and heavy attack to dodge and counter enemies with a riptide

strike Use your mobility to harass and counter your

enemies Chain two top light attacks for a guaranteed

combo Remember, the 2nd attack is guaranteed if

the first hits.

Dodge in the direction of an attack just before impact to deflect.

Use a light attack after deflecting for an unblockable and undodgeable wind gust attack

Or use a heavy attack instead to perform the hurricane blast for more damage

You can cancel a hurricane blast into a wind gust by pressing the light attack button at

its start up You can also cancel into a dodge or guardbreak

to surprise the enemy Press be during your storm rush to surprise

the enemy with an attack or guardbreak

Be sure to check out my channel for more for honor videos and I'll see

you on the battlefield!

What is a tourist Village in China? [Lujia village] - Duration: 10:00.

Welcome guys, we are ready to show you a tourist village.

So what the hell is a tourist village in China?

Except as a village full of tourists

Well there is some quite interesting things to discover.

Actually we film it for three days

Swiss man lost in China

Get lost in China with us

Now as you can see, we are in a village near our house.

But it is a tourist village.

So he will explain what is a tourist village later.

But now I wanna introduce the history of the village.

The village name is Lujia village.

Which means family Lu village, the family name is Lu.

And they have a long history of making tofu.

Because the water here is special.

And it have a lot of mountains here.

So the water is good, the plant is good.

And they make the most yummy tofu in the world.

It is delicious, yes.

And it is hot. And it is perfect in winter when it is cold.

You want to say something?

What is the name of the bridge?

The bridge of wind & rain.

Wind & rain, Ok.

So hopefully it is gonna to resist the wind & the rain.

OK, now I am gonna to explain now what is a tourist village.

So tourist village in China is where basically you have many tourist activities.

Tourist activities don't mean that there is Chinese people living here.

It means you have hotels, restaurants.

Restaurants, of course, everywhere in China where there are tourists.

And you will have many cars, scooters.

It is in general very crowded.

And tourist booby traps.

Yes. Many tourist booby traps.

And all of the shop, little shops selling scarfs whatsoever.

that you see in our background

It is all what we have just mentioned, tourist booby trap.

Because no matter which village you go to, which part of China,

They sell the same souvenirs everywhere.

It is all produced in the same city in China. I forget the name.

But it is almost all from that place. I am sorry.

And what is funny is that, uhmm, well the ambiance is nice

It worths visiting.

But the historical interest is disappearing

Because it is not a very ancient history if you compare with the history of China.

It is a history of many thousand years.

Here is just a few hundred years.

China has the history that is one of the most ancient in the planet.

So you can not compare the foundation of this tourist village that is just a few centuries...

But.

with the history of China.

But, still, I think it is still very nice.

Because it tried as much as possible to recreate the ambiance & the atmosphere

As you can see, in these little lanterns decoration with the tree

And this type of little alley.

As you can see, the wall is not solid.

The wall has holes.

To let the wind & air go through.

This is the ancient wisdom of architecture design.

Because here it has holes, for the privacy purpose,

People put a tree in front of it.

So everything is combined together, even the color

You know.

So, I think it is nice to have these villages existing that still try to recreate the ancient atmosphere.

Hello, look, this is a ancient opera stage.

So for the moment, there is nothing, no event.

But it is going to be nice.

But it is all built in wood. Super stylish.

The design is nice.

How the people make tofu in the past?

you can see the lady put the beans in the middle.

And the man is playing the role of the donkey

to draw the grinding machine around.

[ In mandarin] you want sugar in your the tofu pudding?

[ In mandarin] Yes.

[ In mandarin] You two come here all the time.

[ In mandarin] Yes. We like your shop.

[ In mandarin] Have been here many times already, right?

[ In mandarin] Of course.

[ In mandarin] Here you are.

They said we come here a lot of times. They recognize us.

We are already regular customers.

And they know, or perhaps they don't know we live in the village next to here.

Yap, it is very close to here. That is why we come here very often.

So it is nice to live close to a touristic area.

Because it is beautiful. You can have a nice time.

Just eat a dessert and that is it.

So perhaps you can speak about the rent.

The rent? For example, did you see this house?

This house..uhmm, you wanna go out?

No, no.

It has two and half or three layers.

And the rent is 12000 yuan per month.

So it gives you an idea, 12000 yuan per month

How much dollars?

2000 dollars.

2000 dollars. So it is pretty similar price as you can perhaps find in the west.

It has perhaps 300-500 square meters in total.

But thing I know is that, I tried to call the phone number of the owner the other time,

when i tried to rent the house here.

They tell me they don't live in here any more.

They are selling...uhmm, not selling, they are renting the house out for business.

It is more interested for them to rent it out rather than live in here themselves.

If they don't wanna make a business here.

And what is also interesting, is that in this kind of place,

if you are successful as a businessman

The rent is not necessary stable.

They can make grow the renting price.

as long as you can pay, they grow the rent.

In the past few years, the price of rent goes up & up.

Of course. Because in China, housing price or renting price always goes up.

So, they [the landlord] don't take risk.

But I wanna mention something,

This village is a special one.

Where there is almost none villagers living here any more.

It is very business oriented in a way.

[ In mandarin] It is very hot. Be careful.

[In mandarin] Thank you.

However, in some other village, where there are more ancient ones.

There are villagers living inside.

It is not so fancy.

But they have ancient architecture that is not reinforced like this one.

So it is not a definite case.

There are many different type of tourist villages too.

And perhaps one day, we will show you the ancient & villagers still living in that type too.

Good.

So we are here.

And this is the area.

It is actually where we are, where is our place.

Something is disturbing me.

This map is not interesting, I think.

Yap, it is interesting. Because we live here.

where?

NO. Not really.

We don't have a fountain in the middle of our village.

This is not our village. It has fountain.

Yap, this is a project of invading our village.

Can I cry now?

Yes.

Invasion?

Invasion.

NO. I think...

Oh. Shit.

That is really the area.

Yes, I told you.

OK. I am gonna go home & cry now. Ciao.

We have to ask the landlord now.

NO. NO. NO. We don't even know it.

It is probably some idiot's dream of invasion of the ...

Not necessary it is gonna....

So, we live close to this place.

And apparently, they have a plan to destroy our home.

NO. NO. It is not...

Yap, it is funny.

Episode ends here. I am not going to cry.

I am just gonna take a break in the toilet.

For 3 hours all alone, OK?

Ciao.

Thai Food at Tha Kha Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำท่าคา) - Don't Miss Aunty's Fried Oyster Omelet! - Duration: 18:09.

- My plate of hoy tod is coming along,

and she just added the egg, and I love,

she cracked on the egg, and then she chucks the eggshell

into the bucket of eggshells, expertly.

Oh, that's a beautiful thing.

(cheerful instrumental music)

Good morning everyone, it's Mark Wiens

with Migrationology.com in Bangkok, Thailand.

There are many different floating markets

that you can visit when you come to Bangkok,

and there are a couple right within Bangkok,

I really recommend Khlong Lat Mayom, by the way,

and then there are also some really famous floating markets

about an hour and a 1/2 outside of Bangkok,

in a province called Samut Songkhram,

and some of the really famous floating markets

like Damnoen Saduak, and Amphawa floating markets

are all located there.

But today, my wife and my sister and my mom,

and our kids, a couple of our kids,

we are gonna go on a day trip to Samut Songkhram,

and hopefully go to a couple of kinda more lesser known

floating markets, so stay tuned for this video,

some lesser known floating markets and some delicious food

coming up.

Are you ready for another road trip, Mika?

(woman singing lullaby)

According to Google Maps, it's 86 kilometers

from where we're leaving, and we're in the Bangna area

of Bangkok, and it's gonna take an hour and 36 minutes

to drive there.

(cheerful instrumental music)

You know when you're in the countryside

when the dog just lounges in the middle of the road

and you have to go around him.

We are following Google Maps, and we're now

on this small little jungle road, and I'm loving it.

Oh, this is such a beautiful province,

I love being around these areas.

Achoo!

We made it, this market is called Talat Nam Tha Kha,

and the literal translation, talat is market

and then nam is water, so it's a water market,

and I'm already loving the simple,

kinda slow feel of this market.

When you arrive to this market, you walk through

this little entrance section which is covered,

and there's some souvenir shops, and then immediately,

you get to the floating market section,

it has such a quiet, peaceful, nice feel to it,

there are plenty of boat vendors,

some of which are selling ready-to-eat things,

and then some people who are selling

a variety of different ingredients, lots of bananas,

some onions and some garlic and shallots,

and then produce from their gardens,

probably right from their gardens right at home,

and they just load everything up onto their boat

and then come to the market to sell.

But what I really like is how small,

and how friendly it is so far, and I just,

actually, I haven't really walked around much yet,

but I just came into the market,

walked up this little bridge so I can just

kinda get a birds' eye view of Tha Kha floating market.

(woman speaking in foreign language)

So far, the ladies selling things at this market

are all very friendly, and they all wanna see Mika.

Looks like they're buying something here.

- Popiah! - Popiah.

My sister Anyin just got some fresh spring rolls,

and they are really hot and fresh, fried fresh.

Mm!

Oh yeah!

Filled with mung mee noodles, and maybe carrots.

Mm, they're good.

Nice and hot still.

(baby wailing)

As you're walking along the edge of the water on the market,

they have these coconuts set up

where you can massage your feet.

Kinda go like this, it kinda hurts!

Am I doing it, (speaks in foreign language).

(speaks in foreign language)

It's coconut sugar.

(woman speaking in foreign language)

You can smell it, you can smell it.

- [Anyin] It's supposed to be better, so I use that

instead of regular sugar.

- There's a lot of good produce at this market,

and also, you can buy fresh coconut sugar,

and coconut syrup, and lots and lots of bananas

and coconuts.

Hoy tod.

Yeah.

(woman speaking in foreign language)

I am squatting down here on a floating raft,

and I just ordered something called hoy tod,

which is fried oysters with egg,

and this is a beautiful stall,

it is an amazing grandmother who is cooking up,

and she is using charcoal on a hot plate,

and adding in the batter, the oysters, and then egg.

Oh, and it's just going up in a cloud of beautiful smoke.

My plate of hoy tod is coming along,

and she just added the egg, and I love,

she cracked on the egg, and then she chucks the eggshell

into the bucket of eggshells, expertly.

Oh, that's a beautiful thing.

Oh, I think that's some lard going in.

(woman speaking in foreign language)

There are bean sprouts in it, there's egg,

there's the rice flour batter, as well as oysters,

I asked her, they are oysters,

and then also bean sprouts and cilantro,

and then after it was finished,

she dished it onto a plate, added some cilantro

and then some pepper.

And I'm sitting down here with my mom to eat.

Oh yeah.

It's good.

Oh, the fresh, crisp bean sprouts, the oyster in there,

and then like the gooey batter flour.

As we were sitting eating that oyster omelet,

I could smell the smoke coming down the canal

from the grilling skewers of gai ping and maybe moo ping,

I'm not sure, I think she mostly has chicken,

but that sounds delicious right now,

grilled meat on skewer.

(woman speaking in foreign language)

Okay, how many skewers would you like, ma?

- [Mom] One or two.

(woman speaking in foreign language)

- [Mom] Sticky rice.

(Mark speaking in foreign language)

- We got a full baggy of grilled chicken, and also tab,

which is liver, and liver's one of my favorites.

Oh yeah.

So creamy, and then it has a marinade on it,

so it's a little bit sweet and a little bit salty

at the same time, but with a really good,

smoky flavor to it.

(cheerful instrumental music)

Oh, thank you!

I stopped to buy some starfruit,

starfruit is an excellent fruit,

not only does it look cool, but it tastes incredibly good,

so every opportunity I have for starfruit, I go for it.

Mm!

It is so juicy!

Oh, that's just an entire mouthful of starfruit juice.

Oh, that's delicious, and it's sweet and sour.

The next snack that we got is called toong tong,

and the literal translation is a golden little bag,

or little pocket pouch, and it's a little wrapper,

which is wrapped really nicely,

and I think they had a minced pork version as well,

but we got the one filled with corn and then deep-fried,

and this is a little one-bite little gift,

and you can see on the top, on the top it's very crispy,

and then on the bottom is the pouch

where it's wrapped up with the filling.

Mm!

Oh yeah.

That's like a spring roll in different shape.

That's fantastic.

Oh, that is tasty.

- Surprisingly good!

- [Mark] It's more tasty than I thought it was gonna be.

- Yeah, that's what I'm saying, like it was really good!

- Ying is having a bowl of kway chap nankon,

which are the rice noodle rolls,

in like a braised soup, and I'm having just ba mee,

which are the egg noodles, with pork,

and there's some pork meatballs, I think in there,

and also some daikon, I think it's daikon radish,

which is also within the soup broth.

Let me get a bite with some pork and with some noodles,

there are also a lot of bean sprouts in here as well.

Mm!

Some good black pepper in there, or maybe white pepper,

but that's just a simple, classic bowl of Thai noodles.

Pork noodles.

(cheerful instrumental music)

(woman speaking in foreign language)

I'm watching them make something

which is called khao tom mad, which is rice,

sticky rice mixed in a mixture,

I think with coconut milk, and then

they add in a banana and wrap it in a banana leaf,

and then it's steamed, and it's a very popular Thai snack,

but she was telling me that it's a bolan version,

it's a traditional version.

Very cool to watch them make it.

Oh, okay.

So this is the sticky rice mixture

that includes sugar and coconut milk.

(speaking in foreign language)

They are making the khao tom mad

over a little bit down there, overlooking the canal,

and then they're selling them right here,

so I just got some of the khao tom mad

that they're making freshly right now.

They're wrapped in doubles, and you unravel that,

and then you got two banana leaf-wrapped packets.

Oh, and you can feel that stickiness already

from that coconut milk and that sugar in there.

Oh, and what I love about things

that are cooked in banana leaf

is you can immediately smell the aroma,

that banana leaf, it has such a wonderful aroma.

The sticky rice just sorta melts

into that coconut milk and the banana.

Really gooey, sticky rice, and then just

with a sweet and tart banana on the inside.

This is one of my favorite Thai traditional desserts.

You can really taste that banana leaf,

which the steam embedded into it.

We spent about two hours walking around this market

and eating and relaxing, this is a fantastic

little floating market, and I love how it's so quiet

and peaceful and very, very friendly.

They also offer boat rides, which would look really,

really nice, but with the babies,

I think we're gonna skip the boat ride,

although if you come here, I think I would highly recommend

the opportunity to take a boat through these canals

and just relax, that looks really fun.

And from here, we're gonna go see another floating market,

which is not too far away.

Yeah, there's another floating market about,

it said about 15 minutes away that I wanna check out,

so we'll just stop by there for a little bit

and see how it is.

(cheerful instrumental music)

That was an absolutely beautiful drive

through the coconut trees to get here,

and that was about a 15 minute drive,

and this is called Talat Nam Bang Noi,

and it is right on the edge of the Mekong River,

I can see it right up here.

(jazzy folk music) Oh man, at first I thought

that was a CD playing, that's a live band!

Fantastic!

I gotta give it up to the live music,

that is a highlight of visiting this market.

This is a really relaxed floating market as well,

but it's right along the Mekong River,

which is a huge river, and then kind of

right in the parking lot on the side of the temple,

so it's almost like a community,

it almost has a community center feel to it.

The girls and the babies are walking around

the market shopping.

This is a good shopping market,

especially for little Thai things and souvenirs,

and so I have taken this opportunity to sit on the bench

near the water and eat some mulberries,

and mulberries are, I think they're popular

to eat at this market, they're kinda famous

to eat at this market, and I like how

she has made a mulberry, a little basket

to hold the mulberries in, and then

put the mulberries inside, and then she put it

in a plastic bag, too.

Oh yeah!

Mm!

Oh, that gives you an immediately burst of sourness,

before any sweetness.

Mm!

Those are really good.

(woman speaking in foreign language)

Mika!

We're walking around the market,

and we came back to the car to feed Mika,

and also, we're eating some snacks, so I'm gonna try.

This one is khanom gluay, it's a banana

grilled in a banana leaf, long and skinny.

Let me break it in half, oh, very sticky.

Loo at that, oh, it's hot, right off the grill.

Mm!

Yeah, it's really good.

It's nice, you can taste the banana like,

tastes like a dried banana with coconut,

and then it has like a, it's almost like caramelized

on the outside.

Oh, Mika!

What I really enjoyed today was visiting

Talat Nam Tha Kha, that was the highlight of today.

It's about an hour and a 1/2 outside of central Bangkok,

and it's definitely worth the trip,

that's one of the best floating markets in Thailand

that I've been to, I just enjoyed the whole atmosphere

of the market, and then we just kinda stopped here

just because we were in the area,

and those mulberries were delicious.

I'm gonna end this video now, it's been a,

yeah, just a great Bangkok day trip,

and good to get out of Bangkok for a little bit,

and I really love this Samut Songkhram Province

in Thailand, and the relaxing markets,

and the whole feel of the entire province,

this entire area.

I Thought Cancer Would Never Touch Me - But It Did - Duration: 0:50.

My name is Maimah Karmo. I am the President and Founder of the Tiger Lily

Foundation, but first and foremost, I'm a woman. I'm a mom, and I'm a human being

that got breast cancer at 32 years old. So, I'm an immigrant. I came to the States

as a refugee when I was 15 years old, and I believe that if I did what I thought was

the right things, bad things wouldn't happen to me. And I ate healthy.

I exercised, drank a lot of water, you know. I ate pizza now and then, but I had

no family history of breast cancer. I give to charity. I just kind of thought,

I have no history of breast cancer in my family or any kind of cancer in my family,

and it will never touch me but it did.

-------------------------------------------

The Doctor Told Me I am Too Young To Have Breast Cancer - Duration: 4:01.

- So my mom is a nurse, and she taught me at 13 years old to do my breast

self-examinations. She sat me on the bed, and she's like,

"Take off your shirt." And I thought, "I don't want her seeing

these things. They're barely breasts yet." But she told me

that it was important that I knew my body, and that if lumps popped up

I would know if they were good lumps or bad lumps if I did my exams regularly.

And so she explained to me what breast exams were, and I began doing them.

I never thought I would ever hear the words, "You have breast cancer." For me,

it was mostly about prevention, and just kind of knowing and doing the right thing,

like brushing my teeth, or before I crossed the road, looking left or right.

So, I did my breast self-exams for 18 years. And then, one morning,

I was taking a shower, dancing in the shower to Diana Ross and "Ain't No

Mountain High Enough", weirdly enough, and I felt a lump in my breast, and my world

went a couple shades darker. In my mind, I just didn't think that,

again, it would ever happen to me. So, I found a lump. I called my mom, and I said,

"Remember that talk we had when I was 13? Well, I found something." She told me to

call my doctor, my OB/GYN. I went to see her, and then she told me to go see a

breast surgeon. The entire time, in my mind, I thought... I didn't think it was a

joke, but I just thought, "These things don't happen to me. I'm 31 years old.

I'm healthy. Again, no history in my family." So, I got a mammogram,

went to the surgeon, and she told me that the results were clean.

So, in the doctor's mind, I didn't have breast cancer. I was too young.

She told me, "You're too young to have breast cancer." The mammogram was clean,

so the scan said I didn't have breast cancer. And so, for all purposes,

I was supposed to go home and live my life and forget about the lump in my breast,

but my mom had given me an incredible gift. And that gift was a gift of

knowing myself and trusting myself, and knowing my intuition, and knowing my body

intimately. So I kept telling my doctor to do something else, to maybe do an

aspiration. He did the aspiration. It came back that it wasn't aspirating,

so I thought, "If it's not aspirating, something's wrong." And I kept pushing for

a biopsy. She said, "No. You're too young to have breast cancer." She kept saying,

"You're too young to have breast cancer. Go live your life. Come back in six months

to a year. But you have a young daughter. It could be a milk duct or something."

You know, there's a point in time, I would think, "She's a doctor, and I'm just me.

Is she right and I'm wrong?" Oftentimes, as people, we think, well,

our doctor knows everything, doctor knows best. But I tell people all the time,

"You are your best advocate. You know your body better than anybody else." So I kept

pushing her for a biopsy, and thank God I did. Because I finally got a biopsy,

and she called me the next day at work to tell me that I had breast cancer,

that it was aggressive breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer,

and that I had an Elston score of an eight. So I knew that if I hadn't known my

body from a young age, from 13 years old, been doing my breast examinations,

if I hadn't went to my doctor to tell him I had the lump, if I hadn't pushed for a

screening, pushed for a second screening and a third test, which was a biopsy,

I would be dead today. When I found out that it was cancer, my first thought was,

"Oh, my God. My daughter, she's just three. What's going to happen to her?" My

second thought was, "I'm not ready to die." And my third thought was that,

"If I'm going to die, I haven't yet left any kind of mark on the world."

And so that's how my story began.

There Was No One Who Was My Age That I Could Talk To - Duration: 1:05.

I had to figure out what to do and, you know, what kind of

treatment plan to have, and it was just very scary and overwhelming.

And the most challenging part was that there was nobody my age

that I could talk to. There is not one person I've met under

the age of 45 or 50 that understood where I was

in my life, how my cancer affected me.

People would say things to me, "Well, like, at least you have

one child." But I may want more children.

"Well, at least you're alive. It's not worse. It could be worse.

At least, you know, you have more time." At least this, at least that, or,

"Be thankful." But when something's taken residence in your body that you

didn't choose to be in there, and this thing is governing your current life and

your future, perhaps, you know, there's no "at least."

There's, "Let me just be where I am. Let me just sit with my anger.

Let me just sit with my fear. Let me just sit with my, you know,

my self, you know, like, regret for not pushing faster, or harder, or sooner.

Let me just sit with where I am and be that for a while,

and figure out what I'm going to do next.

Nerve Decompression Results in the Ability to Lift Foot Again and Walk Normally - Duration: 1:26.

We are now approximately eight months from a decompression of the common peroneal nerve

right below the fibular head.

This was done for a foot drop, but this patient also had a ganglion cyst coming from the joint

between the tibia and the fibula here.

The cyst was growing down the nerve and causing pressure on the nerve, leading to a foot drop.

He was not able to lift his foot up eight months ago.

Can you show us how you're doing now?

Go ahead and lift your foot up for me.

Up and down.

Excellent.

Again, up and down - fantastic.

Eversion was preserved prior to surgery.

Go ahead and move your foot outward.

That was preserved before surgery.

How much improvement do you think you've seen in your foot since eight months ago?

I would say 70%.

Very good.

He lacks some muscle flexion because he actually has a fairly tight Achilles tendon and we're

still working on stretching this out and some additional range of motion will come back

if we can stretch this out a little more.

Are you tripping on your foot anymore?

No, not at all.

Alright, very good.

Thank you!
