[PT] TBR "Reading About Reality" - Duration: 4:55.

I haven't got four books for four challenges.

I've got seven.

Hello everyone and here I am with another video in portuguese for this channel.

This time I'm here to do my TBR for the marathon Reading About Reality.

For those who don't know this (PORTUGUESE) marathon, I'm going to leave a link in the description box, in which I present

the marathon.

Basically this is a marathon that occurs from the 1st to the 14th of february and I'm organizing it

with Sara from the portuguese channel Sara Cristina.

This is a marathon that intends reflection and deepen knowledge about

social issues.

We've got four challenges to achieve and I couldn't pick only one book for each one

challenge. So, I picked seven.

Without further ado, let's start with the challenges and which books I'm going to read for each one of them.

The first challenge is "Read a book that includes human rights inequalities".

For this challenge I chose two books.

Initially I was going to read "The Diary of a Young Girl" because I know some people are

reading books related with Anne Frank, but then I decided that I'd rather reread two

books that I've read in the past, which are both basically about the same theme and that I'd love

to read in order to decide wheter to keep them or to sell or give them away.

So, it'll help me achieving the goal of reducing the amount of books I own.

The books are "I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced", by Nojoud Ali (I'm sorry if, if I mispronounce the names

of the people) and "Belonging", by Sameem Ali.

Both these books are about children who were forced to marry.

One in Yemen and one in Pakistan.

I've very excited to reread these books and at least I wish to read this one,

which is the thinner.

This is a little bigger and I'm going to read it if I manage to read for every challenge.

Then, I'll start reading a second book for each challenge.

If so.

The second challenge is "Read a book that includes an example of the impact of the human being in nature"

and I chose a book that I found for sale in one of my favourite bookshops here

in Lisbon and that's called "an inconvenient truth - the crisis of global warming", by

Al Gore.

This is a very well know book, or, if not a book, at least a movie.

Many of you may have seen the documentary that origined this book.

For those of you who don't know it, I'm vegetarian and threfore I'm very interested in these themes

about the impact of the human being in nature and specially in global warming.

The third challenge is "Read a book that talks about someone who changed or revolutionized the

way of thinking of the world" and I chose two books.

The first and the one I'm really willing to read is this biography from the colection "A Minha

Vida Deu Um Livro" of Sigmund Freud.

But, if I can't read this book, because even though it's small it also has very small words

and it may not interest me, I don't know if I'm going to be able to read it.

And therefore I also selected this book.

"Medicina, Literatura e Arte - Música, Escultura e Outros Artistas", by Mário Viana de Queiroz

and Hilton Seda.

Basically it's about the life of many artists and also about how they died.

So, it brings medicine and art together and it sounds interesting and easy to read.

So, if I can't read the Freud's one, this one I'm sure I can.

The fourth challenge is "Read a book about a character that has some king of psychological

disorder or special educational need".

This is the challenge that I already started.

Today it's 1st february, when I'm recording this video and when you'll

see it as well.

I've started this book.

"Vidas Raras" which is from Raríssimas, which is an association that helps children that

have rare diseases and basically this book has twenty stories of children with rare

diseases.

I've read the first two.

It's very easy to read and very interesting, specially for someone who doesn't know

this sphere.

Besides this book, I also intend to read, if I have time, the "Piso 3 Quarto 313", by

Fernando Correia.

This books is about the life of Fernando Correia as husband of a woman with Alzheimer's and

therefore about the life of someone with Alzheimer's.

So, from the seven books I chose, the only ones I think I may not be able to

read are these two: Sigmund Freud's biography and "Belonging".

Both for the size of the second and the difficulty of the first, because

I'm in a time when I need fast reads, not because in another time of my

life I wouldn't read them easily, but right now I need simple

and fast reads and that's why I may not be able to read these.

Tell me in the comments if you are going to participate in this marathon.

I invite everyone to do so (IT'S IN PORTUGUESE), I'd want lots of people participating.

The more people, the better.

Tell me your opinion as well if you've read any of these books and also which one of them

you think it's more interesting for me to read.

You may change my perspective, my priorities.

I wish you a great marathon, have a nice day and be happy.

(exciting music)

- So being a woman and teaching ladies how to play,

I've learned that a lot of self-confidence can be lacking

because they're worried about how they look when the throw.

And it's something you just kinda gotta get over

and just be okay with what your body looks like

when you follow though and don't worry about it.

Just focus on throwing the disc the way you want to

and just get out and throw.

Vegan For Health vs. Ethics, Yam Birth Control?, Activism Across Cultures & More | Q&A - Duration: 18:29.

There are so many and I want to...answer them all!

Hi it's Emily from Bite Size Vegan and welcome to a vegan Q&A.

It's been quite a while since I've done a Q&A for you guys. Except the time that I did the back-to-back live

Q&As on Facebook and YouTube in October. And I'll have the link to those and all the of the other

Q&As I've ever down in the description below, along with all of the questions that I answer today and

additional resources for each. Before I jump in—because this is one of the rare

times that i have a kind of non-formulated video,

I thought it would take this opportunity to let you guys know

to click the bell.

If you are subscribed or you want to subscribe and you would like

for that to actually do something as far as letting you know when videos are coming out:

Click the bell. It's a two-step process—you aren't ever told about the second step.

So it's kind of like just figuring out what YouTube might want today...

It's not a healthy relationship...

I have been hearing that a lot of people are still not getting notified, even when they have selected

notifications. And there are still people being unsubscribed.

So if you'd like to know when I do stuff...

...click the bell.

So I got of great questions from you guys and a good number of them are going to need their own dedicated

videos so if you don't see your question answered today, it might be that I'm answering it later in its own

full video, or that I'm saving it for another Q&A, but because there was quite a good number of them

And you guys, Ii did answer on the actual... platform

So Clara Rodriguez—I'm sorry if I'm not pronouncing that correctly—asked:

"What's the best for doing activism in a place where veganism is very unknown and rejected by most people,

and where animal agriculture is something normal? I live in Uruguay."

That's a really great question and that's something that I even faced when I was looking into doing the speech

for Ireland. I think there is great value in considering the differences and coming from a perspective that will

most effectively connect with whatever kind of cultural framing there is. And at least what I tried to do, is use

that framework to kind of bring down people's walls and meet them where they're at.

But the end message and the core of what I always end with is the same.

I kind of try to use the the framework of the familiar.

And so in a lot of my videos you'll hear me say things like "pets," or in my "Bestiality video,"

if you abandon it within the first couple minutes, you might think I'm going in a super shady direction...

So I try to start kind of in the framework with which most people are familiar. And so you would know that

in your culture in Uruguay far more than I would.

So kind of starting with the language, the beliefs, the concepts that are familiar and that are

espoused by the majority of people. But then it using that in a way to kind of, you know, at least identify, and

connect with your with the people that you're talking to.

But the heart of a message is the same. The way that we exploit non-human animals, and even one another,

is pretty universal— these are living beings, they're sentient. They feel just like we do.

Mother cows want to have their babies with them

just like mother humans want to have their babies with them.

It's kind of just bringing it down to these base logical things. And showing people—

I think one of the most effective things showing people how the values

that they already have aline with veganism

and so it's not like this big radical change or this, you know, turning

against one's culture and country but rather just starting to act the way that

we believe already and if you're looking

through the the human perspective and

and we think about there's a tradition

maybe within our culture that involves

consuming the bodies of certain animal

if you just come straight out that and

say you know this is wrong to do this

that can be interpreted as my family

history is wrong with these very

deep-rooted things of value our are

being threatened whereby if we can

disarm and in bringing people through

this thought process to the point of

things from the perspective of that

animal then it becomes far more evident

that to that being the one who is going

to have to throat slit or who is going

to die in some terrifying painful manner

how does it being a tradition alleviate

that suffering and how did it justify

that suffering There's all kinds of examples

throughout human history of things that

we've done because of its the way that

we've always done it or it's been tradition

or it's been widely accepted

and we even look back on these things

in horror today. And you can wonder like how

could that even have been acceptable?

The final thing that I would say is to dig

through the the actual laws and

regulations of your country if you can

find them, if they have them, because

a lot of times what we think happens is

not even close to what actually does happen.

And what the laws say is like the

ideal and usually what's happening is

far less than ideal, but when we actually

look at the laws in and of themselves

they can be pretty awful a lot of times

which is what i found in any country that I've looked into.

Peace.and.plants asks:

Have you heard about taking wild yam pills as "herbal contraception"?

I have not, but I did do a quick search on it and

this is by no means expensive, but I will

put links to the rest of the resources

on the blog post so that will be down

below because there's a number of them

and it's too much to pop into the

description. What I did find was actually

a lot more information and research on

wild yam being used for like menstrual

cramps and menopause and things like that.

And not really any research

directly on birth control.

So from what I found is then used for

quite some time for a number of

applications. But as far as the birth

control aspect, it does contain diosgenin

which is a phytoestrogen or

plant-based estrogen. And diosgenin was

used to make the first birth control pill.

But even with the studies but I did find

on treatment for menopause, menstrual cramps and those kinds of things

there doesn't seem to be any kind

of conclusive proof of the effectiveness.

And again like I said nothing actually

looking at it as a birth control method.

And the reasoning for this might be that

our bodies cannot convert diosgenin into

progesterone on their own. It has to be done in a lab setting.

I do have a whole video on birth control methods, and talking about

whether they are vegan or not. So there are options.

And there are ones that have, you know , pluses and minuses for each.

And I'll put that down below. So zm_vegan asked:

As a new vegan, how do I get the balance right between being true to my values -WITHOUT annoying my family and friends?

I think we'd all like to know the answer to that question.

I think that's a huge concern for new vegans and even long-term vegans.

Family and friends, family especially, can be

very difficult to navigate. I think that

maybe re-framing this might be a little helpful.

Just even having to ask the question about how to balance your values

based on making other people comfortable

I mean that alone in and of itself is a bit of a troubling question.

Especially because the value that you're

talking about are you know not harming

innocent beings i guess for your own

sanity and comfort continuing to educate

yourself and in knowing that you're not

alone in this and that you know many of

us has been there before many of us will

go there again and so I was really also

recommend reaching out to two other

vegan version to these people that you

didn't feel that you can talk to and and

knowing that you shouldn't have to

apologize feel bad about not wanting to

harm others and you shouldn't feel bad

or like your family is going to turn

against you because you want to be

nonviolent and you don't feel like its

your right to wake up other people

families or sentence them to an early

does so where can find them or violate

them in any number of ways I know that

doesn't make it easier give you a

blueprint necessarily for exactly what

to save your family but I just I just

want to emphasize that you know you

shouldn't have to sacrifice your values

especially when they're the values of

not wanting to hurt family can be the

most difficult

and sometimes just living by example and

continuing to educate yourself and and

sharing that with them when it feels

appropriate but also know that you can

set boundaries if you need to and it

doesn't mean arguing or yelling or even

telling them that they're horrible

people but having kind of more from this

perspective added of this is something

that's really important to me

this is a decision I've the eyes come to

based on these things that i've learned

and I'm happy to share them with you and

to tell you what it is that maybe sighs

get to make these changes but regardless

of whether you agree with them i would

love to have your support and just doing

what i feel is right in and being able

to follow through with my own core

values about the Clark asked what are

your thoughts on the growing criticism

of people who come to veganism only for

health reason or the argument that we

should not use health claims to promote

veganism so i said from the very

beginning of my channels out there are a

million reasons to go vegan and I've

actually get to find a reason not to go

begin people often ask me why I'm vegan

and honestly I haven't found a reason

not to be so i decided to do a number of

little clips that have bison information

about different reasons to go vegan and

and I have always been of the mind that

whatever gets you there

bid as long as we can keep you there or

you can find something that will keep

you there and I do find out you know the

health perspective of the unisom can

bring out the deal of people into

weakness I mean there's whether the

health perspective that's again a

infinite range of approaches within that

I do think that it's important to have

scientifically backed up accurate claims

or studies or even and we saying we're

not sure but you know these kind of

things frightened to interview dr.

Greger or bring on the specialists

instead of myself trying to make any

kind of health claims when I don't have

any formal training it's really not my

place

however as far as bringing people into

the health good whatever going to

connect with them and make them feel

that this is

a choice that is in line with their

value

go for it you know because I mean that's

really is whatever I said is that i

think the vast majority of people

already are vegan and mentality you know

whether that's and I do think a lot of

that is ethical because I even think

people who go vegan for health reasons

would still not tablet picking the fruit

if that may be taking some of them and

what they would do it i have a whole

video on bacon lovers who melts many

we're actually have a big one of them so

i just think sometimes it depending on

the intensity of the reason that got you

into being vegan at times there there

needs to be or it can be a shift or

further routing or further

identification with other aspects of

that really kind of locks it in and

makes it less of i'm going to try this

and more of something that this is a

vital importance in cat 14 says I'm in

middle school and my friends always make

fun of me for being vegan and the past

that name you want to give up but I kept

going and even though they still make

fun of me or tell myself that I don't

care what they think but sometimes it

makes me want to quit and I definitely

don't want to do that can you give me

some tips on how to deal with heat from

kids my age

oh man I'm sorry that you're going

through that and I I do hear that from a

lot of people and of all ages and i

would love to tell you that it gets

better with age and that people grow up

and are more mature i attended and

waiting for that to happen for quite

some time and i'm still waiting we'll

see i mean i really wish i could just

kind of protect you and everyone from

from that kind of experience it's an

indication of how far we've come from

from arching nature that someone just

saying hey I would like to not hurt

being these animals have kids you know

we we adore we love them we have movies

with them and then instead of thing i'm

going to love this particular animal and

i'm going to eat this other one and this

one doesn't deserve to live

you're basically saying hey that this

makes no sense they can hurt they can

feel their families and I don't want to

strip them and that's that is nothing to

mock that's nothing to make fun of about

certainly not something anyone should

feel bad about I don't think it's gonna

make everything better but sometimes it

can be helpful to kind of real that take

a step back and realize that that kind

of reaction from people is it's never

really about you or or what you were

doing a lot of times it's more than the

individual feelings imply judgment that

because of you being vegan it's this

attack on the way that they eat and what

they do and that's in and of itself is

pretty telling because if we don't tend

to like get the sense that must be kind

of feel deep down that maybe something

we're doing is wrong

there's a big pressure as well to fit in

and to go with logo with the mainstream

go with you know the the popular kids

and not be kind of the one picking out a

different person the different kids I

was always the different kids and i'm

still very much the different kid so to

speak but for me it really helps you

know thinking about the animals and what

they're going through and thinking about

the environment and like what where our

planet is headed and even if it's like

uncomfortable for me at times or its

hard at times and even if it can be a

struggle i still don't want to be part

of that I i still don't want to hurt

innocent beings and I still don't want

to be part of the model the world racing

towards destruction and I would this

rather cake email being unpopular or you

know having people give me a hard time

over that and I don't say that to it if

you implied that what you're going

through isn't valid and isn't important

isn't incredibly painful because i'm

sure that it is it's not it's not easy

and just my heart goes out to you and I

just want you to know that you're not

alone

and you're not wrong and you are

incredibly strong for for making this

choice especially early on in life

please know that you're doing the right

thing and and you can reach out to

others that you don't have anyone in

your area you can reach out online find

some community i do have a number of

videos with interviewing vegan kids and

a number of them have in the videos you

even said that they would be open for

people contacting them so i'm going to

link those videos down below and you can

maybe even try to get in touch with the

kids and the videos who have their own

channels and their own platforms and are

very receptive to helping others

ok just a few quick ones because it's

getting kind of long the wendy London

ask about when people say that they buy

organic humane free-range type of

products and using that kind of a

solution to the way that animals are

treated i have a number of videos on the

Humane myths and an entire in that

speech that I gave ireland called the

best we have to offer and I'm going to

link all those below magmas asked about

palm oil in so that you didn't notice i

already had addresses i have i have a

video on palm oil so that will be below

and Lauren Walker wanted to know the

story of my tattoos and necklace i've

actually answer those as well so i will

link below the Q&A where talk about the

necklace and then i have three

watchin videos that we link below as

well so I know I didn't get to so many

questions but I'm really sorry about

that i also wanted to let you guys know

if you emailed me if you message me and

I haven't gotten back to you it is by no

means anything personal i kind of a bit

of of overload with all of the different

avenues that are coming in and it

doesn't make it okay it doesn't make an

excusable for you guys to not get a

response especially because I know a lot

of the things that are center very

important and it does really break my

heart to find these things months later

sometime and I just I'm not that kind of

person I've never been my kind of person

I've always been someone who's very

accountable and good on my word and

consistent and reliable and it seems you

know especially in the last year that

the the workload has

both and necessitated or or created me

being this this kind of person that i

really don't want to be so please know

that it's never intentional and I

honestly truly want to answer every

single person and I want to be able to

address concerns i want to be able to

help as much as I can I since it's not

possible at this point and I'm trying my

best to put together the system where I

can be more effective I can be more

available i can create more content and

it's just going a lot more slowly than i

would like it too and a lot of that kind

of area of navigating these kind of but

you know business side of stars or

structural side legal-sized I'm not

terribly well versed with these so it's

a bit difficult to navigate and I'm

doing the best I can so I just thank you

guys for your patience thank you for

your support thank you for sticking

around and I will keep doing the very

best at hand and I can never thank you

enough for everything so I hope that

what i did a dress was helpful and

We STILL suck at bikepacking - Key West Trip Day 2 - Duration: 8:54.

In the last video, we fought our way through the Miami Metropolitan area—and I mean all

the way.

After fighting traffic, glass, mechanical problems, and bad luck, we had no choice but

to crash at a motel in Homestead.

Awake and ready to make up for lost time, Alex and I set a goal of 80 miles for day

two.

That would put us in Marathon, about 50 miles from Key West.

Almost immediately, Alex's tire came back to haunt us.

We thought we saw a Walmart, but it ended up just being a grocery store.

It turned out that they wouldn't have had a tire anyway.

After searching the inventory of every big box store we could think of, we discovered

that nobody carries anything narrower than 32.

To get to a real bike shop, one of us would need to backtrack for 10 miles, buy a tire,

and ride 10 miles South again to make the repair—that is after waiting for the shop

to open.

We decided to take our chances with an emergency sidewall repair.

With Alex's bike cobbled together, we got on a path adjacent to the busway.

We were already off to a bad start, and still almost 80 miles away from Marathon.

At least we had some breathing room on the bikeway.

Alex's tire was holding up too, but our repair had yet to face its most trying test.

The busway ended, and ahead of us was a long road that led to the keys.

First, a black diamond road biking segment.

We got on Card Sound Road, and settled in for 15 miles of straight pedaling with no

tree cover.

If Alex's sidewall blew out, we'd be totally fucked.

There was no shoulder either, but the cars were few, and gave us plenty

of space.

Eventually there was a curve in the road, which gave way to our biggest morale booster

yet.

We were officially in the Florida Keys.

After filling up our water bottles and eating some more birdseed, we got back on the bikes

to cross Card Sound.

There's nothing like going from urban hell, to swamp, to beautiful Caribbean waters.

Our next stop was Key Largo to find a tire for Alex.

We had a little over an hour of pedaling left to get there, and still over 60 miles to Marathon.

This would be a long day.

Although my touring setup wasn't as barebones as Alex's, it was far from high end.

My sleeping bag, rack, and trunk bag were around $65 combined.

The rack was worth every bit of $22, but it wasn't lightweight, and it could have been

stiffer.

I had also bought two brand new Continental Ultrasport tires, which I ordered in a 25

width.

They weren't particularly lightweight, but for the price I give them a 10 in every category.

So although I did spend a few bucks on my setup, it was far from a major investment.

I'd say that $1 of preparation is worth $5 on

the road.

Lucky for us, All Keys Cycles was super fair.

After buying a new tire, we decided to run Alex's old one until it went flat.

It was holding up, and there was only one way to find out how long it could last.

We headed to Publix to grab enough food for the day, and got back on the road to put down

some miles.

Although we were feeling pretty beat, everything in the Keys was better than Dade County.

The roads were bike friendly, the people were more laid back, and the scenery was way nicer.

With such a nice change of pace, it was tempting to fall off track.

In Islamorada, we finally gave into temptation.

Although we couldn't afford to waste 40 minutes at the brewery, we were officially

on island time.

Having a beer made me feel like sitting around more, but we had pedaling to do.

It looked like the roads would be safe enough to travel at night, so it was Marathon or

bust.

We had no clue where we would spend the night, but we'd figure it out.

As we rode through Islamorada, the islands got more scattered and connected by bridges.

Some of them were long.

When Alex and I imagined our trip, I think this is what we were both envisioning.

Clear water, coconut trees, and mailboxes shaped like sea mammals.

We were beat the hell up, and our taints were sore, but things were finally going our way.

It looked like we would make it to Marathon after all.

Tune in next time, to see if we did.

Thanks for riding with me today, and I'll see you next time.

MON NOUVEAU BOLIDE ! - Duration: 7:57.

Today is a great day!

I'm so excited to get my new bike!

I won't tell you what it is I'll let you discover by yourself

You guys are gonna be suprised

Believe me when you're gonna see it you're gonna be like damn this is gangster

If you don't then you're a liar

Alright let's get the trailer

I haven't bought a bike in 3 years I'm so excited!

If you follow me on twitter then you already know what I'm about to buy

I'm trying to be more consistent on Twitter so yeah I'm getting closer of being active on twitter

So follow me on Twitter

Since a pleasure is always to be shared I'm picking up my friend Chris before we go get the bike

So Chris is sitting next to me and it's hard for me to Vlog around people I've known for a long time

It's not natural to speak to a camera

It's cool though everyone knows I'm crazy

So this should be where the bike is

Here we go, this is what we came for

So apparently this guy is passioned by these moped they are everywhere around here

So sick! What's this one?

MBK 51

So many toys here I love it

I love these moped and I was looking for one of these since forever

When I saw you were selling it I was like alright that's it I'm getting it

Watch out guys I'm about to start it up, plug your ears cause it's gonna be loud

No button to press right?

Listen to that sound I know you guys are jealous of it

Not gonna burn my tire here

Alright thanks man

I'm going back home with it, no helmet and of course since we are gangsters now, backward snapback

My 636 is gonna be so jealous

Alright guys we have a problem I forgot my rail for the trailer

What are we gonna do

You can't tell but I'm very strong

You really can't tell I know

It's lighter than a bicycle indeed

Just say it's beautiful

Ain't that some fine mechanic

With the old school pedals this is so sick

I saw you guys wanted me to get one so here it is

So we're gonna strap it down and then we'll be headed to see my friend Jhon who knows everything about these bad boys

Little tip from a great rider, "Thomas Blade Sagnier" who taught me how to tie a strap

If you don't do this the strap might get loose get caught in your wheel then next thing you know you're trailer is flipping and you die

For you Thomas!

Alright my new baby, new bike, new destiny I would say! Let's go

I can't wait to try it and see what I can do with it

Sandwich time

On my way back home I saw that my friend Melvin was having a stunt session so I'm gonna stop by real quick

We didn't know you were coming!

I bought a new bike!

He doesn't know what I bought yet!

The 636 wasn't powerful enough for me

These kids are killing it!

It's crazy to see that many people it reminds me the first stunt meetings

10 years ago already I'm old

Next time we ride together

I'm gonna show them my new bike

Oh my god

The color is astonishing

Beautiful I know

There's even a trunk here

I need to tight things up a little

Alright now that's you are all jealous I'll be on my way!

Alright I'm late John is gonna be mad

Seriously bro the socks

This is Chris he doesn't give a fuck

So this is John

I can't believe how light this is

Damn I wish I had this red for my bike

This one is the same one I have but brand new

I wish I had one like that

Nah this is way too clean

You got so many parts man

Alright so did I make a good deal or not

Ya it's the price to pay for this condition, prices went up when internet came out

I was thinking about putting this front end on your bike, it's way more solid

Ya it actually looks like a real front end

These are just springs right

I like your little garage man it's so sick

I wish I had more

It's the rule we always want more

As long as the rear brake works properly and the bike gets up I'm good

I tried in the streets earlier and it really wasn't powerful at all

It was like buuuuuhh

The sprocket it way too small

I think I could get it up but it's gonna be hard

Oh yeah the sprocket looks really small

So we're gonna replace the carburator from a 12 to a 15 and see what it does

Give it a little more gas, hopefully this will be weelieable

I saw some of you guys doing wheelies on moped so let me know what needs to be done

I used to have one of these when I was 12 or maybe 13 years old

I did run from the cops with this, not for long though

Chris and his flip flop pushing against the engine that's beautiful

68.. yeah it's gonna do it

Should I keep the stock one or replace it with this one?

I'm gonna scrap the hell out of it I don't think it'll last long

At John's we drink syrup!

Alright we're gonna go and I think we'll leave the bike here

I think he did great work on this bike already and I can't wait to see it finished

Thank you so much man

I'll see you very soon

So we're back home

I hope it was a good surprise for you

I suggest you join my twitter as I told you I'm starting to be active on it

Keyword here is "starting"

As usual leave me a comment I'll reply

Now I gotta do the next "I watch your wheelies part 4" it'll come out Friday, maybe it will maybe not

Stay tuned bye!

SHARE THIS IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW DRINKS ALCOHOL ON A REGULAR BASIS - Duration: 5:49.

SHARE THIS IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW DRINKS ALCOHOL ON A REGULAR BASIS.

by ALANNA KETLER.

f youve been thinking that maybe its time to cut back on the partying and looking

to try something new, then good for you! You are feeling this for a reason and its important

to go with your gut! Have you been going out too much?

Drinking too much when you do? Relying on alcohol to have fun or feel confident? If

this is you, then yes, its probably a great idea to stop drinking so much. Coming from

experience, there are a few things you should know about what will happen when you decide

to make the change, outlined below.

1. Your Social Life Will Slow Right Down

This depends largely on your friend circles and how often they go out. You might find

that every weekend, your friends are still hitting up the bar, pub, or club and getting

wasted. Sure, you might tag along with them on occasion, but it can definitely be really

difficult to be around a bunch of drunk people when you are deciding to be sober. So, chances

are you will just start to opt out of going in the first place. Theres a good chance

you will have some FOMO (fear of missing out) at the start, but eventually youll realize

youre really not missing that much at all.

2. Youll Find Out Who Your Real Friends Are

You may start to notice that your friends who you used to always go out with not calling

as much, or getting frustrated and annoyed with you when you say you dont want to

go out. They may even try and pressure you into drinking or tell you that, youve changed,

youre boring now, dont you want to have fun anymore? Your real friends will be the

people who support your decisions and genuinely want to see you succeed. Theyll be down

to go for coffee dates, have board game nights, or just chill and watch Netflix with you.

This is actually a really great mechanism to determine who your real friends are, and

those friendships will flourish because you will be having legitimate bonding time with

those people.

3. Youll Have More Money

I dont know about you, but Ive spent a lot of money over the years on alcohol and

partying in general. Going out and buying drinks is super expensive; multiply that by

1-2 times a week and it is certain to put a dent in your bank account. When you stop

drinking so often, youll start to notice that youll have more money that can be

put towards things you actually need, or save up for something important to you like travelling,

for example.

4. Youll Lose Weight & Be Healthier Overall

Drinking alcohol regularly adds a whole lot of extra calories to your diet. Over time,

these definitely add up and can lead to some weight gain, particularly in the belly area.

Theres a good chance that simply eliminating the extra calories from alcohol alone lead

to some weight loss, without even trying. As well, eating late night junk food after

a night out wont happen and the urge to eat a big greasy breakfast wont be there

either when you wake up feeling fine. Considering drinking alcohol regularly can come with some

detrimental health effects, cutting it out can only mean good things for your health.

Your skin may appear more vibrant because you wont be dehydrated all the time, and

your liver will function more efficiently because it wont be working overtime to

process all that alcohol.

5. Youll Wake Up Early

If you work all week, then Saturday and Sunday mornings will feel extra special because you

will actually be able to enjoy them. Youll wake up feeling refreshed and ready to see

what kind of adventure the day will bring. Youll have the energy and motivation to

get things done without that nasty headache and nausea that may normally accompany you

on these days. You wont be wasting time lying in bed feeling like death or throwing

up in the toilet.

6. Youll Remember What You Did & Wont Make A Fool Of Yourself

You wont be waking up trying to put the pieces of exactly what happened the previous

night back together, or wondering how you got where you are and who it is you were with.

Youll have a clear memory of what happened and wont have to call your friends to figure

out the details, or have people reminding you about all the stupid things you did for

weeks to come. There will be no avoiding people out of embarrassment for how you acted, or

worrying that you may have screwed things up, because youll know exactly what you

did and what conversations you had.

7. Youll Be Happier

Overall, youll feel happier. Whether its a combination of all the above points, or

because alcohol is literally a downer, youll notice that you will just feel better. You

might begin to feel more confident in who you are as a person because you wont be

relying on alcohol to enable you to open up. You may start to devote your time to things

that actually bring you joy in life, and youll start to surround yourself with people who

are on a similar path as you and care about their health and well-being.

This list could go on and on. There are so many great reasons to cut back on your alcohol

consumption!

History of my Phones 📱 - Duration: 3:15.

Hey guys, Haim here.

And this is a history to my phones.

So my first phone was the HTC Explorer.

It was a very nice little phone.

And as you can see from this post from 2012, i was very excited to get it.

it had a 12 hundred mah battery a 3MP camera

512MB of internal storage and a 3.2 inch, 480 screen.

After a long while I got upgraded to my dad's Galaxy S3, when he got the S4.

That was a much bigger phone, in all aspects.

It had a 21 hundred mah battery an 8MP camera that can shoot 1080p video

a 4.8 inch 720p screen and my model has 16BG of internal storage

that can be expanded with an external sd card

Long after that, again, I got my dad's S4, when he got the S6.

Starting to see a trend here?

26 hundred mah battery, 16gb of storage, again expandable

a 5 inch 1080p screen and a 13MP 1080p camera

AFTER that, I got the Galaxy S7 Edge, considered by many the best phone of 2016.

And no, not my dad's, brand new.

A very, very nice, big phone Compared to the Explorer, this monster packs

a 36 hundred mah battery a 5.5 inch quad HD display

32 gigs of expandable storage and 12MP UHD camera.

And while a hit you with some b-roll, I would like to thank you for watching and remind

Fudgy Vegan Brownies! - Mind Over Munch - Duration: 3:19.

Hey munchies!

I am so excited because we just finished our January series, and now it's not even Thursday

yet and you get ANOTHER video!

Today I'm sharing a recipe for the FUDGIEST vegan brownies ever, and it's all thanks

to Sunsweet, who I've teamed up with as a part of their #IEatRightBecause campaign!

I personally eat right because I try to do something every single day that my body APPRECIATES…

even if I can't make it to the gym, I can still treat my body right with the fuel I

consume.

I want to know – why do you eat right?

If you share why you eat right on social media and participate in this campaign, you have

a chance to win fifteen hundred dollars and other prizes!

I have put all of the information on how to enter in the description box below.

For this amazing brownie recipe today, I am using Sunsweet D'Noir prunes, but you could

of course use Sunsweet Amaz!n Prunes.

D'Noir prunes are packed without preservatives to give them a fresh, natural taste, they're

also a good source of fiber, and lower in sugar than other dried fruits!

I love that the only ingredients are prunes, and they offer great, convenient energy for

people of all ages.

The ingredients you will need are: cocoa powder, flour, coconut sugar, salt, coconut oil, apple

sauce, and your Sunsweet D'Noir prunes!

We are actually going to make a prune purée, which is a great fat substitute for baking,

and it's SO easy to make, you just add prunes into your food processor with some water,

and let it rip!

Let it go for a few minutes so it becomes nice, smooth and well integrated.

These Sunsweet prunes blend up SO easily too, I love it!

Then we can combine our ingredients.

First, mix together your dry ingredients, and then, your wet ingredients including your

prune purée.

Then we can mix the two together, it will seem dry at first but keep mixing because

suddenly it will turn into a beautiful FUDGY batter.

Transfer the batter to your pan lined with foil, and then bake it in your oven at three

hundred and fifty degrees Fahrenheit for about thirty-five minutes.

Once those are out of the oven, let them cool and make your frosting.

Start by creaming some coconut oil in a bowl with your hand mixer until it's nice and

creamy and even in texture.

Then you can add in your cocoa powder, powdered sugar, your prune purée, vanilla extract,

and almond milk.

Mix until it's smooth and thick, and SO delicious.

Once your brownies have cooled, you can remove them from the pan, which you can see is quite

easy when you use that foil lining, and spread on that decadent frosting.

Top it off with some chopped walnuts, and then you can slice into squares.

Oh, my, gosh… these are seriously SO fudgy, so decadent and so delicious!

Mmm.

One more bite.

They taste like a "real" brownie!

The prunes add so much moisture, you can slightly taste the prunes, but the flavors pair really

well with the cocoa.

Feeling good starts with eating right!

Thank you to Sunsweet for teaming up with me on this episode, I am SO excited about

this recipe which you can find in the description box below or on mindovermunch.com.

And if you try them out, be sure to tag me on social!

I'll see you tomorrow for a brand new episode, and remember,

it's all a matter of Mind Over Munch!

How To Ride Off Camber MTB Trails | Essential Mountain Bike Skills - Duration: 6:09.

- Off-camber trails like this can be really tricky.

- But you're going to find them absolutely everywhere,

no matter what kind of trails you're riding.

- So these are our tips to master

in the off-camber sections.

(mellow music)

- So what is off-camber?

Basically, it's where the hill is falling away,

and you're trying to ride across it.

Almost the opposite to a berm, where you've got

a banked corner to give you more grip,

here you're going to find less grip,

because you're much more likely to fall off

down the hill.

There's a few really important things to master

in these off-cambers, and the first one is line choice.

- Line choice is absolutely key when you're riding

these off-cambers sections.

You can see, just after a couple of runs,

this little rut has started to form.

And by turning into it, and actually getting the turning

done early, and looking straight ahead,

that is where I want to be going.

The bike is going to follow that path,

and it's the smoothest.

If we take those two examples that you can actually see

on the screen now, you can see that in the first one,

I actually start to drop away.

I didn't hold my line, and the bike was fighting the grip,

almost being pushed down.

So I didn't carry that momentum,

and it forced me to drop off the trail.

In the second attempt, I really pushed into the rut

at the top, followed the straight line,

looked straight ahead, and I was looking for points

where I could grip, where the tyres were going

to dig in, that is going to allow me to keep my momentum,

move forward with speed, and in complete control

of the bike.

- Okay, so here we've got an off-camber turn.

So, not only is our off-camber going to make you slide,

you're now trying to turn across it.

There's two lines here, the main line is down at the bottom,

where you've got a rut, it's almost acting like a berm.

So there's loads of support there, where you go up

and on this off-camber line.

And that's good because it cuts off that big corner.

The trail goes like this, and then left.

So if you take the main easy line,

it's going to be grippy,

but it's going to be a lot slower.

Cut up on this inside off-camber line,

and you'll be really fast out of it.

- And the key to this is really setting up early.

You need to turn harder here to get on

that off-camber line if you want to do it.

There's no point in rolling down here

and then deciding, oh I fancy going on the off-camber,

because you'll never find the grip there.

Also, it's worth bearing in mind

that in different conditions, say if this was wet,

this might not even be possible to stay on the inside line.

- You may have noticed in that last video

that in this part of the off-camber,

I actually seemed to push really hard into the ground.

So I did that because it's a bit of a compression here,

and if I try to make myself really heavy,

it's going to force my tyres into the ground,

and give them more grip.

So while I was pushing down and in,

I'm turning as well, trying to pop myself

off the bank a little bit.

And then I'm going light on this section,

because it's really off-camber, it's loose,

and I don't think I'm going to grip on that.

So I'm almost actually bunny-hopping this section,

to take it out of the equation.

- This off-camber section right here is a bit more

of an extreme example, and you're really fighting for grip.

But to find that grip, we're going to talk about

a technique called unweighting and weighting.

When you're weighting the bike,

it's when you know that you have grip.

You can push the bike in,

almost pretty low to dig those tyres in,

and then over an obstacle like this,

a slight rise or a root, for example,

you're gonna unweight the bike.

You're gonna go lighter on it,

so it just kind of lifts up,

and then back again when you know you've got grip,

you put your weight into it, dig those tyres

into the ground so the bike accelerates,

keep this momentum, and then coming into

the next section right here, I don't have grip.

So that is when I unweight, lift my weight up,

rise over the bike, and then dig in again,

hoping to keep as much momentum flowing through

this section so I get through it as clean as possible,

and into the next part.

- So, body position for off-cambers,

it's really important to try and get your

centre of gravity as low as possible.

So drop your outside foot, just as you would with a corner,

and try to get your weight down to that.

So actually crouch on the bike quite a lot as well.

Front to back, you want to be fairly equal,

but actually, I will drop a bit more weight onto the bars,

keep that front wheel gripping,

because you can allow the back wheel to step out

a little bit, but if that front wheel slides out,

then you're crashing.

I'm also playing around with the angle

of the bike underneath me, dipping the bike over,

trying to keep my weight to the outside,

depending on how much grip I've got on the floor.

- One point that is often overlooked when you're riding

off-camber is your braking.

And what I mean by this, is normally when you're braking,

what you use to slow down is these centre knobs.

They really dig into the ground and slow you down.

But in this off-camber section, they're not really working

in the same sense.

It's the edge knobs that are digging into the ground,

giving that grip to try to make you keep moving forward.

If you actually brake, then what's going to happen,

because the ground is moving away from you,

when you brake harshly, especially in the rear,

the back tyre could step out,

making you lose that grip.

You won't have the traction.

And you could actually find that that's what is going

to run you off down the hill,

and not keep in a straight line.

If you do want to do braking while you're in an off-camber,

you feel that you're going too fast,

then make sure you modulate on the brake.

And what I really mean by that

is that you feather the brake.

You don't have to do a harsh pull of it,

pulling it right in towards the bars,

because that is when you're going to skid

the back tyre out.

By locking that rear end up, you're gonna lose the grip,

and you're not gonna be able to keep moving forward.

Looking ahead is going to make it a lot easier

for you to identify those points where

you can unweight the bike, where the grip is gonna be,

and where you need to do your braking.

Speed also has a big effect on this,

if you're going faster, you want to be looking

further ahead.

If you're going a little bit slower,

then you want to be looking closer.

But you do not want to be looking at that front tyre.

If you're looking at your front tyre,

you can't identify those key features ahead of you.

And the chances are you're going to lose traction,

lose grip, and you're not gonna get through the section.

- So that is off-cambers.

They're pretty tricky.

Don't Resent Other's Blessing; Stop Being a Bully – Wisdom Inspiring Video – Zeni Says – Nikki Kari - Duration: 1:29.

Hello, Friends!

I'm Nikki Karis.

For today, I'd like to share an inspirational message I've written about wisdom to help

encourage you to stop being a bully.

Here's my message for today: "Never resent what another person has in their life.

You may have something in your life that the other person is missing in theirs."

You know, Friends, I think this is a very wise saying, or a wise piece of advice to

give to anyone out there who's bullying someone else.

You know, one of the reasons that people bully others is because they're resentful of something

that someone has in their life.

Well, what I'm encouraging all of you to do, my Friends, is to remember that all of

us have certain blessings in our life, and even though there may be somebody out there

who might have something that you wish that you had in yours, well, remember that there's

probably something you have in your life that they wish they had.

And if we all just learn to count our blessings, whatever those blessings may be, and not to

resent what another person has in their life, it would be such a wonderful world, indeed.

That's what I want to encourage all of you to do, my Friends.

Be happy for the people around you.

Be happy for what they have in their life because you may have something in your life

that they are missing in theirs.

Love and blessings, Nikki Karis

Don't Let Judgers Bring You Down; Overcome Bullying – Self Esteem Video – Zeni Says – Nikki Karis - Duration: 1:45.

Hello, Friends!

I'm Nikki Karis.

For today, I'd like to share an inspirational message I've written about self-esteem.

This particular message will help to uplift and empower you to overcome the negative effects

of bullying.

Here's my message for today: "The world is full of people who thrive on standing in

judgment of you.

These so called "judgers" profess to know who you are, what you are about, how you should

live your life, how you should think and feel, all the while diverting the attention from

their own lives and misgivings on to you.

Ignore the judgers of this world because they simply aren't worth your time or attention."

You know, Friends, it seems like in today's day and age, there is so much judgment going

on, so many people criticizing other people for who they are.

There is so much bullying going on in the school systems, in the workplace, wherever

it may be.

People are bullying others, wanting them to be like them, for them not to be different,

to be who they are.

Well, what I'm encouraging all of you to do is to ignore the judgers.

Ignore the bullies of this world.

Carry forward with your life knowing that you are, in fact, an extraordinary person.

Sure, all of us have faults, foibles, imperfections, but we certainly don't deserve having those

faults, foibles, and imperfections pointed out by someone else.

That's what I'm encouraging all of you to do, my Friends, to hold your head high.

Have self-esteem.

Believe in yourself.

Overcome the bullies.

You can do it.

Love and blessings, Nikki Karis.

Don't Judge Others, Accept Differences; Stop Bullying – Compassion Video – Zeni Says – Nikki Karis - Duration: 1:33.

Hello, I'm Nikki Karis.

For today, I'd like to share an inspirational message I've written about compassion.

This particular message is directed to all those bullies out there who want to bring

others down to make themselves feel better.

Here's my message for today: "Your job isn't to judge others.

It's to appreciate and accept their differences."

You know, Friends, when you bully someone, it simply means that you're failing to accept

and appreciate the differences someone else has from you, whether someone is a different

skin color than you, a different height, a different religion, a different race, a different

gender, a different sexual orientation, whatever the situation may be.

When you strike out and bully them, you're attempting to make them be like you, instead

of accepting them for their differences.

What I want to encourage all of you to do is to let go of all of the anger, hatred,

bitterness, and resentment that may be present in your heart.

Fill your heart with love and compassion for your fellow mankind.

Learn to accept and appreciate others for their differences.

In turn, this world will be a better place for all of us.

Say, "bye bye to bullying."

Become the better person and move forward in your life in a positive direction.

That's my message for today.

Love and blessings, Nikki Karis.
