Would you like to order?

(Episode 27)

We will have two cups of this.

Okay. I see.

Here are your beverages.

This is so pretty.

It's delicious.

Thank you. Please enjoy.

Yes, Seong Joon?

Jeong Eun. It's me.

I have something to tell you.

What? Are you certain Hyun Woo is back?

Yes, I am.

Jeong Eun, I thought about him a lot. Something's fishy about him.

I can't figure out who and what kind of a person he is.

He certainly said he will return to New York.

He even invested in my company before leaving.

He came back this morning.

What's the reason behind his return?

Jeong Eun.

He didn't get in touch with you at all?

No, he didn't.

Something's off about him. He seems like he's playing us.

Seong Joon. Calm down.

Let me look into it. I'm sure there was a reason for it.

I will find out.

Hyun Woo.

Hyun Woo.

Hyun Woo!

Hyun Woo!

Mr. Lee.

Who are you? Tell me who you are.

You took your anger out on the driver...

and that poor man hung himself.

One of his sons...

was hit by a dump truck and torn apart.

Mr. Lee.

Are you...

the driver's son?

"As you sow, so shall you reap."

You thought you won't face the consequences?

Do you think...

karma doesn't apply to you?

Does this mean...

you were behind Guem Ja's arrest and kicked out Mi Ja?

Mr. Lee. Please forgive me this once.

I wasn't doing so well at that time.

Guem Ja said she would pay me. That was the only time.

Please, I beg of you, Mr. Lee.

Please forgive me this once.

How can I forgive you?

The incident was...

already settled as drunk-driving of an alcoholic driver.

I just came...

to tell you that I was very disappointed.

After 23 years, I wanted...

to tell the neighbors that in many ways, I was disappointed.

I came back to tell you that.

Mr. Lee.

May you spend...

the rest of your life well.

Mr. Lee.

Ms. Yoon Mal Ja.

Please accompany us to the station.

Get up.

What are you doing?

- What's going on? - Ms. Yoon Mal Ja.

You're charged with illegal practice,

issuance of false diagnoses,

unlawful rebate, and illegal sale of medication.

You need to come to the station with us.

You have the right to remain silent and to consult an attorney.

Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law.

Let's go.

No. It's not me.

No. It's not me.

- I didn't do it. - Get in.

- No! - Let's go.

My goodness. What happened to Doctor Yoon?

I am not sure. I wonder what it's about.

- What did she do wrong? - Exactly.

- What's happening? - What a mess.

(Han Seong Sik's candidacy is confirmed.)

How do you feel as you have officially entered into politics?

I was too excited to get any sleep.

I'm honored to contribute...

in making the world a better place.

Please say a few words before we wrap up.

First of all,

I would like to show my gratitude to...

the members of my party who trust in me.

From now on,

my dear and respectful citizens,

I leave it to you.

I am the candidate of a dignity and...

a noble standard which you deserve to have.

I can assure you, I am the only reliable candidate.

All you need to do is enjoy the fruit of my labor.

I, Han Seong Sik, will do all the work

Hello. I am Han Seong Sik.

Hi.

Did you announce your candidacy?

You're working hard in this cold weather.

I am Han Seong Sik who will save Korean politics.

Hello, Ma'am.

I am the handsome lawyer, Han Seong Sik.

The carrots look very fresh.

Hello.

I am Han Seong Sik from Minjeong Party.

Who is that?

- Isn't it my dear Seong Sik? - I am Han Seong Sik who...

- will save Korean politics. - Why is he on TV?

That is him.

Why is he saying hello to people?

He went to the market.

Why did he go?

Did his mother want him to go grocery shopping?

I don't think so.

Hey. Why would you eat that without cleaning it first?

Is your grandson running for...

a seat in the National Assembly?

What?

A seat in the National Assembly?

Jeong Ae. Hyung Seop.

Did Seong Sik mention that he was running for office?

No one's here.

Where did everyone go?

I always forget at least something when I go grocery shopping.

Last time,

I forgot to buy this spring onion.

I'm the same, Mother.

I forgot to buy spinach I was going to cook for the children.

I think I should buy some more dried laver and shrimp sauce.

I will buy some snacks...

and oatmeal for the children.

Are you sure?

Sorry?

I mean, I think that's a good idea. Buy more. I will, too.

Okay, Mother.

I'm so glad that I can come shopping with you often like this.

Same here.

How much is it?

It's 80 dollars.

Is it 80 dollars?

Wait a second.

Goodness. No way.

- What's wrong, Mother? - I forgot my wallet today.

Seriously.

This is unbelievable.

I am sorry. Please wait a moment.

It's not in here.

Hee Sook, I need you...

to pay for mine today.

Mother, this isn't good.

What is it?

I forgot to bring my wallet...

again today.

Dear me.

What?

I apologize, Mother.

What's gotten into you? You're not as old as I am.

I can't believe you forget your wallet so many times.

Mother, actually, I used this same bag...

the other day I came here with you,

and I forgot to put my wallet in here in the first place.

I should've remembered to bring it today.

- I'm so sorry. - Goodness.

Mother, Father is here.

Father, we are here!

Hee Sook.

Why are you here? I called Seong Sik, not you.

Mother, I called Father.

- I'm sorry. - Why did you do that?

Come on. You know Seong Sik is too busy to come here.

This is ridiculous.

It's 160 dollars in total.

I will pay it with this.

This is total nonsense. Why did you pay for all?

How could I tell Hee Sook to pay hers herself?

This isn't her first time making me pay for her.

It doesn't really matter.

How could a parent neglect her in such situation?

And you know she forgot her wallet today.

I'm saying she does this all the time.

Don't be too mean to her. She's your daughter-in-law.

This is ridiculous.

- I can't stand this anymore! - You two are back.

- Mom, you're here. - Mother, Hee Sook ripped me off...

again at the market again today.

Stop it.

I told you Hee Sook is too clever for you to deal with.

- Mother... - Please be quiet. By the way,

is Seong Sik really going to run for the National Assembly this year?

What do you mean?

I just saw it...

on television earlier, so I thought you two already are aware of this.

Seong Sik runs for the National Assembly by-elections.

Sorry? By-elections?

Yes, Dad. I also saw it on television.

What's gotten into him?

Politics isn't something that anyone can do.

Dad, don't worry too much.

I'll visit his office right away and talk to him.

It might ruin our whole family.

Tell him to give up now.

I will. I'll call you later.

Seriously.

What's wrong with him?

(Han Seong Sik, Minjeong Party's official candidate)

Excuse me.

Hello.

What will you do?

I need you to resolve it.

Seong Hoon, did you talk to Seong Sik?

Hello. I told you we'd meet again.

How dare you come here?

- Dad. - Get up already.

- What do you think you're doing? - Dad.

Stay out of this.

- Get out of here. - Goodness.

Dad.

Don't ever come back again.

If you come here again, I'll call the police.

Sure. Go ahead.

I can't believe you just said that.

Get lost now.

I will leave now,

but I'm coming back.

I'll make sure to come back soon. Wait for me.

What a wench.

Dad.

Dad,

you need to tell me so that I can help you.

I'm afraid to tell you...

that I don't want anything that breaks Mom's heart to happen again.

If she's Seong Joon's biological mother,

please just give her what she wants and let her walk away...

for Mom's sake.

Please don't just keep sighing.

Mom shouldn't find this out.

It took 10 years for her to accept Seong Joon as her son.

Seong Joon came to us when he was seven,

and she first hugged him when he turned 17.

- This will perturb her again. - Seong Hoon.

Yes, Dad.

Can you just help me...

without asking anything?

Hyun Woo!

Why are you here?

When did you come back? Will you stay here, then?

You didn't come back because you forgot something, right?

You'll stay here forever, won't you?

I'm so glad you are back.

I also have good news.

My dad is back. He said he'll live in Korea.

I returned to take care of a few things.

I will leave again soon. Please go.

Hyun Woo.

- What's the matter? - I need you to leave now.

Nothing will change even if I came back permanently.

Now leave.

Hold on.

- Did something happen to you? - Nothing happened.

We're not together anymore.

You also said we are finished...

and you'll blame me for the rest of your life.

Do as you said.

Don't try to find me.

Hyun Woo.

Hello, Mr. Lee. How are you?

- Hello. - Why don't you go inside?

Goodbye.

Get out. Leave already.

That's enough, Mr. Kim.

Are you joking with me? Do you think anyone can be a writer?

- I'm sorry. - Dong Hui,

sorry doesn't cut it.

Do you know we had to do extra work while you were away?

I made coffee for others and even had to clean the office.

That's enough, everyone. She's here after all.

It's good you mentioned it. Why are you back?

We've already suffered enough because of you.

- Well... - What's going on here?

Good morning, Director Bang.

What brings you here, Dong Hui?

Who is she?

Let me introduce her to you.

You know Writer Choi Jin Kyung, right?

Pardon?

She wrote a miniseries called,

"Icarus's Wings: the Golden Times".

Hello. I'm Choi Jin Kyung.

Where is Director Han? We have to sign a contract today.

Director Han. Please say hello. This is Writer Choi Jin Kyung.

Hello, Director Han. I've heard a lot about you.

I'm sorry,

but I was aware that I was to write the scripts on my own.

It's about the same as writing the scripts on your own.

Ms. Oh Dong Hui wrote the synopsis.

We scouted you for a writer...

who will write even better scripts.

I hope you wouldn't be offended.

I never agreed to sell my synopsis.

Are you telling me that you will write the scripts all on your own?

Director Bang.

Then, what is your plan?

Writer Choi, please help us.

Producer Park insists on directing this drama.

I can't depend on Ms. Oh Dong Hui since she's an inexperienced writer.

We have no other way around it.

So do you mean that I have to co-write...

with a rookie like her?

I also do not wish to co-write my drama with another writer.

What?

How old are you? How many dramas have you written?

Director Bang. How can you handle business like this?

This is also an insult to Writer Choi, too.

Fine. Then, I will make a suggestion to both of you.

Writer Choi, if you help us out this time,

we will sign you for the next drama.

And for you, Ms. Oh Dong Hui.

Since you won't sell your synopsis,

I'll treat you like a writer, then.

However, it will only air after you have proved yourself as a writer.

What do you mean?

We will go ahead with her synopsis,

but both of you will write the scripts based on the synopsis.

We will go with the scripts that seem to be written better.

How can that be possible?

Director Bang. Is this how you handle...

I am aware that I may be asking a bit much from you.

However, don't worry since a rookie writer like her...

can't defeat you.

Now the decision remains solely on your hands.

Ms. Oh Dong Hui.

This is a good way for you to squash any rumor that claims...

you became a writer by someone's help, not by your own merit.

What do you think? Are you not confident?

If you are not, then stay out of it.

Why did you willingly accept her suggestion?

If not?

She might think I'm running away because I'm scared.

You should have protected your synopsis.

How can you compete with another writer with a synopsis you wrote?

If I don't, she won't acknowledge me as a writer.

If I say I will write the scripts on my own,

do you think she would approve?

You're right, but...

This is just too sad.

I can't do anything about it even if it is.

All I can do is win.

Dong Hui.

Please leave now. I'm going to start right away.

Do you think this is some sort of a game or a trick?

How can two writers compete with each other?

Why? Did I hurt your feelings?

Drama is like a living creature.

It's hard enough for one writer to come up with the scripts.

How can they alternate episodes and write?

Who said they will alternate episodes and write?

Goodness. You are confident.

What do you mean?

Writer Choi has an experience of 10 years in scriptwriting.

Do you think Dong Hui can write better than...

Writer Choi even if it's just one episode?

Bang Mi Joo!

Whether Writer Choi wins or she does,

it won't hurt our team in any way since we will be airing...

the episodes of better written scripts.

Isn't that enough?

Don't worry too much.

You said she is a good writer.

Then, she will win.

Anyway, you usually turn off your phone when you go home.

I'm grateful that you're calling me now.

Well, then. Good night. Bye now.

Moong Chi, be quiet. Don't you know I'm writing now?

This is very important to me. I have to win.

Be quiet!

Are you going somewhere?

Yes. I have to meet someone.

Who are you meeting at this late hour?

I'm meeting a coworker.

I'll be back.

Come home early.

Okay.

How's Father?

I saw him at home before I left.

What's going on?

Why do I have to keep this a secret from him?

Seong Joon.

I'm sorry to bring this to you.

I think Father is in trouble.

What kind of trouble?

He won't tell me what it is.

You know the woman with Father you saw on the street the other day?

Let go of me. I can't help you anymore.

Go. Leave now.

You must be Seong Joon.

Don't you know who I am?

I remember her. What about it?

We shouldn't...

mention at home that we met her, okay?

What do you mean?

I just called you just to make sure you won't make any mistake.

We didn't see anything.

Let's be careful so that we won't make any mistake at home.

Why?

Who is she?

I think she is an old coworker of Father.

Seong Hoon.

I am not clueless.

One day,

when Mother brought up about marriage,

she asked me if I looked for my biological mother.

Seong Joon.

By any chance,

is she my biological mother?

I don't know, but...

Seong Hoon.

You are worried about Mother, right?

You are worried she might be hurt again.

- Seong Joon. - If you know her phone number,

please let me have it.

Seong Joon.

Let me have her phone number.

Are you doing your best?

Yes.

I am doing my best.

How about you, Ah In?

I am almost done.

Excellent. After we finish all of it,

I will give you a ride to your school and preschool.

I am going to take the bus.

Hey.

Han Ji Hoon.

What did I tell you?

Once a son, always a son!

Did you forget that?

You might be better off just taking the ride when I tell you nicely.

Goodness.

It is quite comfortable since she took all the children with her.

I have a plenty of time in the morning.

Just because you took them away from me,

doesn't mean they are yours.

Do your best, Kang Hee Sook.

Fulfill your wish.

It's never quiet because of Hee Sook and her husband.

Besides,

you, Han Seong Sik. You are going to be a politician?

You are running for a seat in the National Assembly?

You're going to put your life on the line for the citizens?

That is enough to make a cat laugh.

You were chasing after pretty girls...

while using the protest as an excuse.

Who are you trying to kid?

- You can't. - Grandmother.

Do you think anyone can be a politician?

I've witnessed many people...

who destroyed their families because they got into politics.

Grandmother, that's a very negative opinion of your grandson.

It's not a negative opinion of you.

I'm basing this on my experience and the statistics.

Aren't you going to proud of me if I become a congressman?

I'll be so proud and happy,

but you might ruin your life over that.

- Just don't do it. - Dad!

I agree with your dad and grandmother.

I don't really know it well,

but I know it costs a lot of money to become a politician.

Mom!

Are you stopping me because of money?

Are you worried that I might ask you for money?

- Hey. - Stay quiet, Seong Hoon!

You've used up all our family's money.

That's why Mom and Dad are stopping me from...

entering the election! They think I might ask them for money.

- What did you say? - Goodness. That fool.

Just stick to your job as a lawyer.

What's the matter with you?

A man should be ambitious and dream big.

Why should I settle for running my own business?

- What? - Being a lawyer is just a business.

I want to go into the bigger world, Mom, Dad, and Grandmother!

My goodness. You've gone totally insane.

Get up. You and I should talk.

What are you doing?

- Get up, you brat. - Gosh. Mom! Dad!

Grandmother! Help me!

- Let me go. What are you doing? - It's never peaceful in this house.

- Stop it! Let me go! - My goodness, you punk.

What's wrong with you?

Didn't I warn you?

I told you to be careful with Minjeong Party and Seonghan Group,

but you've joined that party. Now you want to run for the election.

Who's backing you up?

- Who's sponsoring you? - Don't you know that?

Mr. Kim Young Tae is backing me up,

and Seonghan Group is sponsoring me. What are you going to do?

Don't you worry. I won't ask our family even for a penny.

Whether you get help from our family or not isn't the issue here.

You're going to be in big trouble!

If something happens during the election period,

you will totally lose your social standing in this society.

You might lose your license, let alone losing all the TV shows.

The way I see it, your life is in bigger trouble.

Are you going to keep selling fried chickens...

until you become an old man?

When you and Hye Joo become an old couple,

your children might look down on you saying you're old and smelly.

- What did you say? - Just stay quiet.

If you do,

I might hire you as my spokesperson later.

- Seong Sik. - Let go of me.

Let me go. My goodness.

Seong Sik.

Seong Sik!

That brat.

Yes.

Please deliver it today, then.

Yes. All right.

Hey. What are you doing?

What? I just dropped the kids off at school.

Gosh. This is driving me crazy.

Although I'm grateful that you drop my children off...

at school and pick them up every day,

- isn't that tiring? - It's not.

I have to go out to buy collections of German songs...

and Italian songs for Chang Soo later in the afternoon.

You're a natural. You have talents for it.

Don't pick a fight with me. Just go to work.

Hee Sook.

Pay more attention to your husband.

He wants to be a politician. What are you going to do now?

There is nothing to do. He's not going to be elected anyway.

You're not interested in your husband at all, are you?

I'm not interested in a grown-up.

The ones I'm interested in...

are growing children. I have no interests for others.

It's good that I ran into you. Hye Joo.

I think you should move this chest of yours.

- Why? - Just move it.

You can't ask me to do that.

I told you this is what my parents left me.

No. Absolutely not.

Besides, we moved downstairs on the condition that...

I can place this here. Have you forgotten?

Just move it.

I bought a piano for Chang Soo, and it's coming today.

- A piano? - Yes.

Don't you want...

to raise Chang Soo to a world-class opera singer?

I speak

With trembling lips

My poor

Words of confession

My shy

And bashful face

I feel

My heart fluttering

I take courage

Hidden deep in my heart

I speak

My poor words of confession

He must be crazy.

Why does he want to meet me now?

I will see him and have it out with him today.

That jerk. He's a total jerk.

Why does he want to see me after 30 years?

You're a dead man.

You're as tall as ever.

- You're as short as ever. - How have you been?

Is that how you want to greet me in 30 years?

You're still beautiful.

You look so pretty.

Please don't wear high heels...

next time we see each other.

Next time? Gosh, I can't believe this.

Why would I see you again? Are you insane?

Listen to me carefully. The reason why I came here today...

is not because I missed you...

or because I wanted to see how you changed.

During the past 30 years,

I always wanted to know how you were.

Not me. I never wanted to know how you were.

Since the day you left for Italy,

I've never thought about you.

I've never even dreamed about you.

So from this moment on,

don't ever call me.

Don't show up in front of me. Just stay out of my sight.

I came to say this.

Let's clear up the misunderstanding.

Misunderstanding? There is no misunderstanding.

I dated you because I was young and stupid,

and we broke up. That's the end of the story.

Do you think I'm a woman who would wait...

for a guy to return for 30 years?

Don't be ridiculous.

I'm sorry.

No. You don't need to be. Why are you sorry?

It's not like you hurt me,

made me waste my time, or humiliated me.

I've been just fine. I've been happy.

My point is...

Don't you ever...

show your face again from now on.

- Ae Ri. - If you really...

loved me by any chance,

please do this for me.

I don't want to see you ever again.

Ae Ri. Ae Ri.

Ae Ri.

Ae Ri. Ae Ri!

Welcome, Director Han.

Hello.

Hello. We meet again.

He came to check the contract himself.

What are you doing? Take a seat.

I wanted to check the office atmosphere...

as well as get some things done.

Is everything going as planned, Director Han?

Yes. Thanks to you, the production is running smoothly.

We will sign a contract with a writer soon.

I see.

I have no doubt...

that you will handle things well.

If this investment turns out as a success,

I plan to expand the investment...

in Korean drama production.

Is that right?

Of course, I'd appreciate it if Director Han is involved.

This investment will be a success.

And the next project will be influenced by it.

You've made a right choice.

I think so, too.

Mr. Lee.

What's going on?

What do you mean?

Don't you know why I came here?

No, not that.

Can I ask you why you decided to come back?

I realized...

that I had unfinished businesses.

That's why I came back.

But I don't plan to stay too long.

Anyway,

I wish you good luck, Director Han.

What are you doing here?

You're home.

How did you get in here?

Did you forget?

We used to be a couple. I know your gate password.

I heard you came back, so I stopped by.

Get out. Get out now.

You should've cleaned the house as soon as you came back.

Even if you are only staying for a short while,

you should make the house liveable.

I got groceries in a hurry, so I couldn't get too many things.

I will make a few side dishes first.

Please go now. Please.

Then...

help me understand the situation.

Or else, I will never be able to accept this situation.

Tell me why you suddenly came back.

It's understandable that you suddenly came back.

Just tell me why you've changed.

Jeong Eun.

Are you stupid?

We broke up.

But you came back.

What difference does it make?

What did you say?

Does that make any difference to the fact that we split up?

It's okay for a man and a woman to split up.

Are you being all clingy because of your lingering feelings?

Did you say clingy?

Did you say lingering feelings?

What happened?

What happened to you?

Why are you doing this to me?

Please leave...

when I ask nicely.

Don't do this. You don't have to be this mean.

Without you,

a week felt like a year.

I don't know what happened to you over the week,

but you don't have to be like this to me.

Nothing happened.

I just...

don't have...

a place for you in my heart.

Hyun Woo.

So please leave.

I don't want to talk more.

How can you do this to me?

Then...

what were you doing with me all along?

Were you playing with me?

Yes.

I was playing with you.

What?

I had a little fun with you.

Do you get it now?

Where are you going at this hour?

I'm going up to the studio.

The studio?

Do you mean Dong Hui's studio? Why are you going at this hour?

Mom.

How many times did I tell you?

We are family, but you shouldn't go up to Dong Hui's room so often.

- People will talk about it. - Mom.

Dong Hui's my staff.

And she will be writing the new drama we're producing.

Stop it. I don't know those things. Just don't go up.

What's wrong with you?

Dong Hui.

Are you asleep?

Aren't you going to write?

Dong Hui?

Dong Hui.

Dong Hui.

Dong Hui, what's wrong?

Are you sick? Is something wrong?

What's wrong?

Dong Hui!

What's wrong? What is it?

I am scared.

I don't think I can do this.

No matter how much I think about it, I don't think I can do it.

I think it's better...

to ask Writer Choi to write everything.

Tell her she can write the script using my synopsis.

Give me the blanket.

I'm scared, and I need to put it over me.

I'm embarrassed, too.

Dong Hui!

She's a veteran writer with 10 years of experience,

while I'm literally a novice writer.

How on earth do you think I can beat her?

I'm no match for her in the first place.

You are very silly, Dong Hui.

You're right. I am silly.

I know I was too reckless.

So please leave me alone.

- Follow me. - Sorry?

- Where are we going? - Get up now.

What are you doing now?

- Just buckle up. - Pardon?

Please tell me where we are going.

Why? Are you afraid that I might sell you to someone?

I won't be able to sell you at a high price, anyway.

No one would buy a novice writer who cries out of fear.

What did you say?

Just tell me where we are heading.

- You'll see soon. - I have no time for this.

I have to hand in my script by this Wednesday.

Didn't you say you gave up and you'll leave it to Writer Choi?

Be quiet and have some sleep.

Dong Hui, we're here. Wake up.

Where are we?

Just get off.

Isn't this amazing?

I didn't know there's such a place in Korea.

I love this smell of books.

- These aren't mere books. - Sorry?

These are the fruits of the writers who have overcome...

dreadful fear of creation.

This is Ernest Hemingway's.

Hemingway once said this.

"There is nothing to writing."

"All you do is..."

"sit down at a typewriter and bleed."

He rewrote the last part...

of "A Farewell to Arms" 39 times.

Do you like Haruki Murakami?

Murakami...

gets up at three in the morning and writes...

until noon every day.

In the afternoon, he runs...

to maintain his good condition for writing.

How does it feel like to find out other writers' efforts?

I'm sure no writers wrote their works...

very easily without any pain or hardworking.

All the great writers have gone through the torment of creativity.

How would you think you'd be able to avoid it?

Did you think you could write it overnight?

I never said that.

I am afraid. I'm scared to death.

What about the writers of all these books?

They have felt the same.

Everyone is afraid of unknown paths.

But if you give up and stop moving forward,

you'll never be able to find out the beautiful things...

waiting for you at the end of the path.

All you need to do...

is take the first step.

Did you say you're scared? Everyone is.

You just have to overcome it.

Will I be able to do it?

Of course, you will.

What if I fail?

You just made...

what I've said so far meaningless.

I'm seriously afraid.

Then, give up everything and marry me.

Pardon?

What on earth are you talking about?

I was going to listen to you as you said a lot of great things.

- And what's this? - Then, just keep writing.

Stop whining like a baby.

You should know so many writers desperately want to write like you.

Why are you yelling at me?

I do know how to yell just like you.

This is ridiculous. You're something else!

This is great.

I was stressed out anyway. Let's get nasty, then.

You won't be able to write a line. Stop nagging at me.

Why don't you go start writing and see if it works as you want?

Do you think I'd be here shouting like this if it was that easy?

Please...

take it easy and keep writing.

I know you can do it. I got your back.

I'll be by your side so that you won't feel afraid.

Okay?

What was that?

Stop making excuses and keep writing, okay?

Come with me. I'll show you my favorite book.

"I sat and watched her sleep, a little troubled,"

"deep down in my soul,"

"but kept holy by the clear night which has never given me..."

"other than beautiful thoughts"

"Around us the stars continued..."

"heir silent march,"

"obedient as a mighty army."

"I fancied that one of these stars,"

"the most delicate, the most lustrous,"

"had missed her way..."

"and had come..."

"to lean upon my shoulder, and to sleep."

("The Stars" by Alphonse Daudet)

Hello?

Mom, it's me.

It's me, Gwang Jin.

You sound so surprised, and I feel bad for calling now.

Right. How are you doing?

Have you finished the herbal medicine?

I still have some.

You shouldn't trouble yourself with those things now.

Don't say that.

By the way,

I am looking at your granddaughter Dong Hui's resume.

What?

But...

she doesn't look anything like you

She looks like her father.

Did you call to say that?

Of course not. I wanted to tell you that you've brought her up well.

I see that she's a writer.

What do you mean?

She started out as an assistant at our office,

and now we are signing a contract with her as a writer.

How did it...

Director Bang brought it to me for a final confirm,

and it turned out...

it was your granddaughter.

What a coincidence!

She's very pretty, too.

I need to meet her first.

After that,

I will sign the contract with her.

Only then,

I will get to see you...

and your granddaughter for a long time.

Take care then.

Did you sleep well, Sir?

No.

Is it because of Jeong Eun?

I don't want to talk about it.

You should've slept well.

Only then, you will get to...

read the morning paper with a clear mind.

(Jinsung Daily News)

(Seonghan Group evades tax!)

Han Seong Sik will start going down today.

Goodness.

Gosh, why are there so many things...

happening to Seong Sik...

and Dad?

(Seonghan Group evades tax!)

Seonghan Group?

(Attorney H gives them advice on avoiding tax.)

(They sought to avoid the prosecution investigation.)

(They closed down their subsidiaries without proper compensation.)

(Seonghan Group, tax evasion of Seonghan Group, Attorney H)

Where are you?

Where would I be? I'm at my office.

Good thing you called.

I've been busy all morning with the women's society meeting...

and the alpine club meeting. And I'm starving now.

Please cook me some chicken.

I'll get half-and-half. I want a lot of pickled radishes.

It's not the time for fried chicken.

Should I eat there? I guess it will smell if I eat here.

I will go down now. Okay?

Hey, don't come. Don't come.

Seong Sik! Seong Sik!

Gosh.

The number you have dialed is not available at this moment.

Why aren't you picking up your phone?

Seong Hoon.

What is it?

What's going on?

Is it true that you provided illegal advice to help...

Seonghan Group evade tax?

Are you Attorney H who got a large sum of money for...

providing the illegal advice?

Did you get nominated as a reward?

Seong Sik! Seong Sik!

- Seong Sik! - Seong Hoon!

What's going on here?

What's going on?

Move!

No! No!

Cover your face.

Please say something.

- What's going on? - Please say something.

Move!

Welcome.

Seong Joon.

Here.

I can't even recognize you now.

You grew into a handsome man.

You understand me well because you are young.

Take that...

and don't bother my dad anymore.

I never bothered him.

Don't show up again.

You are so mean.

Do you know who I am?

I don't care.

What?

I just want to...

protect my dad.

You want to protect your dad.

Yes.

Seong Joon, you are so naive.

You're too nice.

Goodness. What did he do to him?

Do you really not remember anything?

What is it that you want to say?

All right.

Since you gave me money,

I will give you a crucial information.

Your dad...

is not your biological dad.

He told the orphanage that he is your biological father.

But he is not.

He's a silly man.

He fooled you completely.

I guess you needed to believe that you were related to one of them.

Only then, you would've endured your time there.

What...

What are you saying?

I'll tell you one more thing.

You shouldn't...

admire your father so much.

He's...

not so admirable after all.

(Father, I'll Take Care of You)

Dong Hui should be writing a script.

I told her to come to the office.

So why are they saying...

that I provided illegal counsel to help them evade tax?

- You are mad! - Honey!

- I am divorcing you. - Honey!

If you don't want to see Director Han lose his job,

you should think carefully.

Are you...

my mother?

Everything I believed is gone.

It's killing me.

Macau Street Food Tour - Macanese Eats Taste Test in Macao - Duration: 15:56.

Well good afternoon from Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

It is lunchtime over here so we're going to be sampling some Macanese street food.

Yeah, we're just basically going to wander around and try as many tasty bites as we possibly

can.

So we kind of have a list of things we want to try here in Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

Yes.

And this was not on here.

Wasn't on the list but we still found it interesting.

So what is this one?

So this is an egg pudding but I got the chocolate egg pudding.

Yeah, they also had green tea right?

Yeah.

Um, so yeah it is like an egg.

They sliced off the top.

I don't even know how you make this to be honest.

Do you shape the egg until it is creamy?

I have no idea.

We have no idea what this is and that is what makes it so exciting.

Mmmm.

Well it does not taste like boiled eggs so that is excellent.

It is really creamy.

Look at that.

Is it sweet?

Like how yeah.

Yeah, it is literally like pudding.

Okay.

Maybe it is just like pudding that has been put inside of the eggshell.

Maybe that is just the preparation of it.

Look.

Oh wow.

This is a mystery to me.

No idea how it is made but it is so delicious.

Wow.

And Sam doesn't like eggs so he was like no I won't have one.

So are you going to eat it all then?

You're missing out.

Seriously this is like chocolate pudding.

It is so creamy, so smooth.

Unbelievable.

And how much was it?

Mmm.

We paid what was it?

13 MOP ($1.60 USD).

13 MOP for the chocolate one and eleven for the cream one.

So it took us a while to find a place that was serving pork chops this early.

But we finally found one.

Yeah, some of them weren't going to start serving them until 2pm.

Until 2 pm.

And it is around noon right now so oh bummer but we finally found somewhere and this pork

chop bun (豬扒包) is one of the most popular street foods you can find in Macau (澳門

- 澳门).

Yeah.

It is basically.

Oh wow.

Thank you.

Here comes our tea too.

It is basically considered a Macanese specialty.

Uh huh.

And it is almost considered like a Macanese hamburger.

Macau's take on a hamburger.

So you've got your pork chop (豬扒包) in the middle.

Yeah.

And then you have a crispy bun.

Well it is crispy on the outside and it is supposed to be soft on the inside.

So I am dripping sauce all over the place.

Time for me to just take a bite.

Bites right into the bone!

It smells so good.

We ordered one to share because we were planning on sampling a lot of street food but just

smelling that over here I'm like mmmm.

I could have my own.

That is really good.

Yeah?

It is a nice cut of meat.

A little bit fatty but juicy and the thing I really like about it is the bun.

So this is getting a little messy.

There is a reason why they gave us this paper bag.

I'm excited to pull out the bun.

The oil.

Now we've got grease all over the table.

Um let me just dig right in.

Yeah and guys be careful there is a bone on one of the sides.

Yeah.

I almost sunk my teeth into it and I came here to eat food not to visit the dentist.

So haha.

That is so good.

Oh my gosh.

You like that?

Look at all of those colors.

And the bread is so juicy.

Yeah.

The bread to me, I mean the meat is obviously really good but it is the bread that really

makes this.

Mmmm.

Do you like that?

And to go along with the pork chop bun (豬扒包) we got a milk tea (港式奶茶).

I thought this was bubble tea and it looks like bubble tea at first but it doesn't have

the pearls at the bottom.

It is just a nice like milky tea.

It does look pretty milky.

It has that milky looking consistency.

Mmmm.

Nice and sweet and so refreshing because it is really warm out.

Feeling satisfied?

Yeah, it was a nice tasty little snack.

And it was also cheap too.

It only came to 27 MOP ($3.35 USD).

Yeah, we're still going to be eating a lot more today don't worry.

Well the food adventures continue.

And just look at that color.

It is so yellow and uh it just looks amazing.

Next up we're having Pastel de Nata (蛋撻 - 蛋挞) and this is where you start to see

the Portuguese influence in Macanese cuisine.

This is something that you find everywhere in Portugal.

We had these when we were in Lisbon.

There is a really famous shop um in Belem.

And yeah these are really tasty.

I've had these often.

I know.

So let's dig in.

So excited to be having them again.

Mmmm.

And the Macanese take on it is really good.

Mmmm.

Really good.

Look at that.

It is like so custard-y inside.

Wow.

And we got these from what is considered to be a famous place for them.

It is called Lord Stow's.

Yeah.

Yeah.

It is not from the original shop but it is from one of the branches and ah yeah we're

just really lucky to bump in to it.

It is so flakey.

Haha.

The exterior.

Look at that.

Can you see the layers these.

It is like Millefeuille.

I know.

It is so cheap too.

Like what are these 9 MOP ($1.10 USD) or something?

We paid 9 each.

My gosh.

I could just eat these all day.

All day long.

My turn.

Your turn.

Oh, I can't wait to try this.

Mmmm.

You can hear the flakiness when you bite into it.

Mmmm.

Oh my gosh.

That is so good.

So flaky on the outside and so creamy and it has like a pudding like texture on the

inside.

This is so good.

And these um because you can also get egg tarts in Hong Kong (香港).

Yeah.

These are more traditional.

They're more Portuguese influenced whereas the ones in Hong Kong (香港) are definitely

a bit different.

They are more like tarts.

Yeah, they are less flakey.

You don't have this kind of layer on the top.

They just look more yellow on the outside and they're also a little more sugary whereas

I would describe these ones in Macau (澳門 - 澳门) as being more creamy and the pastry

part of it being more flakey and buttery.

They are so good thought like I said I could just be popping these in my mouth all day

long.

We have St. Paul's Ruins (大三巴牌坊) off in the background and Sam ready to sample

more food.

Yeah, so something you're going to find in Macau (澳門 - 澳门) well just about everywhere.

Especially around the Saint Paul's Ruins (大三巴牌坊) is you get this beef jerky (豬肉乾) that

is for sale.

Yeah.

And you buy these big slabs and they cut it up for you like there is just a huge amount

here.

So I'm going to try it.

I did sample this one.

It is sweet.

Is it beef or pork?

That is the question.

It is pork.

Pork.

Pork jerky (豬肉乾).

Mmmm.

That is really nice.

It has got like a sweet glaze on it.

It kind of reminds me of um if you've ever had a cooked ham that has been cooked in like

molasses or maple syrup or something like that.

Very Canadian.

Maple Syrup.

Uh huh.

It kind of has that glaze type of sweetness on the outside and it is nice meat.

It is not unlike other jerkys that I've had before it is not as chewy.

Um, it basically you just bite in to it and the meat basically disintegrates in your mouth

so it is nice.

We've got a lot.

Look at that.

Man.

We're going to be here for a while.

So it is now my turn to try it and this is actually the cheapest kind we saw at the shop

but you can get it with different glazes.

There was one that had black pepper all over it.

So let's see.

Mmmm.

Do you like that?

You're right.

It is like a sweet ham.

It is like a maple ham.

Haha.

Like an alternative Thanksgiving meal.

It is really good and when you think we have a lot more pieces left.

Mmhhmmm.

So for 45 MOP ($5.60 USD) it is pretty good value.

Check out how much we still have left.

Hopefully we can bring these on the boat.

Yeah, I snuck in a couple other pieces while we were waiting in between filming so.

We still have a lot left.

Alright Mr. Coco Legend what did you find?

So I have no idea if this is traditional Macanese snack but we saw this sign that said they

made handmade coconut ice cream.

Traditionally made so yeah.

Can't turn that down can we?

Can't turn that down.

Oh la lah.

And the best part about this and I haven't even tried it yet.

Check out this spoon.

The spoon looks like a shovel.

So yeah, I can shovel it in.

It is like shoveling snow that is why you like it you Canuck.

It kind of does look like snow.

Hahaha.

Look at that.

Is it like a sorbet?

I don't know.

Let's try it.

I wonder if it is more watery or more creamy.

Mmmm.

You really taste the coconut.

Yeah.

But it is just not milky.

It is like a sorbet would you say?

Yeah, like a gelato.

Yeah it is a bit more like a sorbet.

Um, it is really good.

You sound so disappointed that it is not creamy.

You know what I'm not disappointed.

It actually has a really strong coconut flavor and you can tell that it is natural coconut

too.

So it is actually really good.

I find it more refreshing than it is thick.

Mmmhmmm.

Like a normal ice cream is kind of thick and heavy but this is just refreshing and kind

of light with a nice coconut taste.

Not too sugary either too.

Just a little bit of sugar added.

Good stuff.

Mmmm.

Oh man.

What do you think?

Woah.

What do you think?

That is good.

That is good.

It tastes very homemade.

It tastes very natural.

It is really natural that is what I like about it.

Yeah, it doesn't taste like there is any artificial ingredients.

Traditionally made they say and I can see why.

$25 MOP ($3.10 USD).

You know what?

There is some pieces of shredded coconut in there.

I know.

I'm like chewing on them.

Yeah.

It has the real deal.

It is real coconut.

Mmmm.

Gotta like that.

So we're still trying to eat our way around the city here and it is starting to rain.

Today was supposed to be zero percent chance of precipitation and look at what is happening.

With all of these clouds I'm actually surprised it didn't rain earlier.

Anyways we found our next snack and we're having almond cakes (杏仁餅).

So check those out.

It looks really powdery and it actually has chunks of almond in it.

Wow.

And we saw these being freshly made.

So it is pretty amazing.

That is how we decided on the store.

We're like oh they're making them right outside so.

How are those?

Good.

It is quite dry.

It is almost like a chalky like powdery texture so if you're planning on having a few you

probably want tea or like some kind of beverage nearby.

A bubble tea (波霸奶茶).

Have a bubble tea nearby.

We did get a bubble tea (波霸奶茶) actually.

Hahaha.

That is next.

But yeah it is really nice.

Really tasty.

Kind of a nice Christmas treat.

Almond for some reason it seems like a Christmas-y ingredient.

My turn to try one.

I ate the whole thing.

Man, that is going be like really dry in your mouth.

Let's give Sam a few moments to chew.

That was a bit of a mistake.

Little bites with almond cakes (杏仁餅).

Come on.

Baby bites.

They actually had mini almond cakes (杏仁餅).

We probably should have gotten those.

They are like mini bite sizes.

Because I can't control myself right?

No.

But yeah they're really good.

Like you say they are powdery.

Dry.

You can really taste the almonds.

And it is sweet but not overpowering.

So yeah.

It makes a nice kind of a nice dessert.

But yeah it would go so well with tea.

Yeah.

And again we got a big box so we're going to try and take this back to Hong Kong (香港).

So that was $34 MOP ($4.25 USD) and we're going to have a lot of snacks to eat when

we get back to Hong Kong (香港).

Yeah.

Hopefully immigration doesn't mind.

Haha.

Yeah.

Alright so Sam is now rocking a purple drink in his hand.

Yeah.

What could that possibly be?

So we've had bubble tea (波霸奶茶) in both Taiwan (中華民國) and in Hong Kong

(香港).

Yeah, but we haven't had it in Macao (澳門 - 澳门) and we haven't had Taro before.

So this is a purple color.

And you can see it still has the tapioca jellies at the bottom.

Yeah but time to try it.

Alright, so taro milk.

Mmmm.

What does taro milk taste like?

It is really sweet.

It has a bit of a creamy taste and you can definitely can taste the taro.

It is strong.

Does it taste like potato.

Like potato milk.

A little bit.

It still tastes a bit like tea though too.

It is really good.

Your turn to try this one for the first time.

Alright, I think this may be our last Macanese street snack for today.

I would hope so it probably like the 8th or 7th thing we've tried.

Okay guys.

We've been eating all day long and that has allowed us to walk as much as we have.

Mmmm.

Isn't that good?

It tastes like cereal milk.

Hahaha.

That is a good way of describing it actually.

Yeah.

You know the milk that is left at the bottom of your bowl and it has been soaking in all

the sugar and the marshmallows.

When you've had Fruit Loops or something like that.

Yeah.

Or Honey Nut Cheerios.

Or Lucky Charms.

Lucky Charms.

Wow.

We sure eat our healthy cereals don't we?

Mmmmm.

It is interesting.

I think I still prefer my classic bubble tea.

Um, it isn't bad though.

Regular milk.

Yeah.

It was only 20 MOP ($2.50 USD).

It was only 20 for that.

So not bad.

Not bad at all.

All yours.

Somebody couldn't resist.

What have you been searching for all day?

I've been looking also for durian ice cream (榴莲冰淇淋).

Because we've tried coconut ice cream and that was a little tame.

Let's go in for some durian and these right here are big chunks of durian and it smells

just like durian.

It smell like that toilet bowl smell.

Toilet bowl?

But you know what?

I love durian.

Absolutely love it.

I've even had it on a pizza in Thailand so I know I'm going to like this.

Let's go in for a bite.

Before it melts.

Mmm.

That durian is so good.

Mmmm.

Is that actually fruit that looks like cheesecake?

No that is the real deal.

Mmmm.

It is really good.

I mean if you like durian you're going to really like this.

If you don't like it you're going to absolutely despise this.

And it is dripping everywhere.

Dripping everywhere.

It is rainy.

Oh my gosh.

And it is raining.

The ice cream is melting.

Alright before you devour the whole thing how much did it cost?

How much was this one?

This one was $30 MOP ($3.75 USD).

30.

Alright.

Want some?

Yeah.

So our Macanese food adventures are over.

We came, we saw, we ate, we conquered.

Like we ate a lot of food.

We did.

I think we had seven or eight different things.

Yeah.

None of it cost a lot.

We're bringing a lot home.

So it is a great way to just kind of snack our way around Macao (澳門 - 澳门).

All day long.

All day long.

And the fact we didn't sit down and wait in restaurants meant that we got to do a lot

more sightseeing.

We got to taste more food.

Yeah.

So I highly recommend this.

If you come here just snack your way around Macau (澳門 - 澳门).

You'll save money and you'll get to see a lot more.

College Republicans Sorry About Hitler Valentines - Duration: 5:31.

THE COLLEGE REPUBLICANS OF CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY

ARE APOLOGIZING AFTER THEY HANDED OUT AND ANTI-SOMATIC

VALENTINES TO STUDENTS.

THE CARD READ: MY LOVE FOR YOU BURNS LIKE 6000

JEWS ACCOMPANIED BY A LOVELY PICTURE OF HITLER BECAUSE

NOTHING SAYS LOVE APPARENTLY LIKE THE HOLOCAUST.

THE GROUP ISSUED AN APOLOGY EXPLAINING THAT IT WAS ONE

BROKE MEMBER WHO MADE THE CARD AND SLIPPED IT INTO THE

BAGS THEY WERE HANDING OUT.

THEY SHOULD THIS LONG APOLOGY ON THE UNIVERSITY'S WEBSITE

BUT THEN THEY PUT IN THIS LITTLE QUALIFIER HERE AND THEY

SAID SUCH HURTFUL OFFENSE A LEG LEDGE WHILE PROTECTED BY

THE FIRST AMENDMENT IS UNACCEPTABLE AND IS NOT

CONSISTENT WITH THEIR VALUES AND STANDARDS.

AT FIRST I WAS LIKE I AM WITH YOU, ONE DICK THOUGHT THAT HE

WAS BEING FUNNY AND DIDN'T UNDERSTAND AND ANTI-SOMATIC

AND ONE OF STUDENTS GOT IT WAS OUTRAGED AT THE ISSUED

APOLOGY, FIND THAT BUT THEN TO BE LIKE BY THE WAY, EVEN THOUGH

IT WAS OFFENSIVE, IT'S PROTECTED BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT.

THAT'S THE PART THAT I WAS LIKE ALL RIGHT COME ON.

GIVE YOUR APOLOGY AND MOVE ONTO

I DON'T THINK THERE'S A MOVE ON, KELLYANNE CONWAY DID COMEDY

A FEW YEARS AGO

IT'S A VIDEO.

IT WAS TERRIBLE.

AND TOMI LAHREN, WITH THE BLAZE, OR WHATEVER WHAT'S

IT CALLED?

THE BLAZE.

THE GLENN BECK SHOW SHE IS ON, THEY ARE DOING THE ACADEMY

AWARDS FOR WUSSIES, IT'S CALLED THE SNOWFLAKE AWARDS AND PATTON

OSWAULT SAID TODAY HOW THEY ARE ALSO DESPERATE TO BE

COMEDIANS, THEY ALL THINK THEY CAN DO IT, THEY ALL THINK THEY

ARE FUNNY AND IT IS ALWAYS BRUTAL AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS

WHEN THESE GUYS, FIRST OF ALL IT'S 6 MILLION.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE ANTI-SEMATIC, AT LEAST BE

ACCURATE ABOUT IT.

COMPARED TO HOW MANY JEWS DID DIE, THAT'S ACTUALLY NOT

THAT INTENSE A NUMBER.

I DON'T LOVE YOU.

THAT IS WHAT THEY'RE SAYING.

IT'S VISIBLE.

I GOT IT, I WOULD JUST POINT OUT THAT THE BASIS OF YOUR

JOKE IS CHILDREN WHO BURNED TO DEATH.

THAT IS WHAT MAKES YOUR JOKE FUNNY?

THE DYNAMIC ISN'T SET UP RIGHT BECAUSE IT'S LIKE THE

PEOPLE ON TOP BEING HAPPY ABOUT BEING ON TOP?

THAT IS NOT THE DYNAMIC.

YOU DON'T BUNCH UP HE PUNCHED DOWN.

THE BENNY MAKE A REALLY GOOD POINT BECAUSE THEY ARE

ALWAYS SAYING YOU GUYS ARE GETTING SO OFFENDED AND WE

ARE REGRESSIVE BECAUSE NURSING IS ANTI-SEMITIC BUT YOU ARE

RIGHT, THAT IS THE VERY CORE.

THIS IS THE CORE OF THE JOKE IS THAT THEY ARE MAKING FUN OF

KIDS WHO BURN TO DEATH.

I WILL SAY THIS BECAUSE I WENT TO ISRAEL LAST YEAR AND I

WENT TO THE MUSEUM AND I FEEL OUTRAGED BECAUSE I THINK WE'LL

START FEELING OUTRAGED FOR EACH OTHER WE ARE NOT GOING TO START

MOVING AHEAD AS A HUMAN RACE BUT WHEN I WALKED THROUGH THAT

MUSEUM WHERE THEY CALL OUT THE NAMES OF THE CHILDREN WHO DIED

IN THE HOLOCAUST AND SOME OF THEM THEY ARE PICTURES OF AND

SOME OF THEM THEY DON'T, ALL YOU DO IS SIT IN THIS DARK PLACE

WHERE THEIR STARS UP THERE, IF YOU THINK THAT THAT IS FUNNY,

THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU AND JUST TO

THINK THAT SOMEBODY THOUGHT THAT WAS CUTE AND THAT WAS

FUNNY, SOMEBODY THAT IS RECEIVING A SECONDARY

EDUCATION, WE ARE ABOUT TO SEND THIS PERSON INTO THE WORLD.

HE'LL FIND A JOB FROM SOME SHIT HEAD.

BY THE WAY THE FIRST AMENDMENT DOESN'T PROTECT THAT SPEECH.

THE FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTION FROM BEING ARRESTED FOR

THAT SPEECH, YOU SHOULDN'T BE ARRESTED, A GUY DOESN'T

BELONG IN JAIL FOR SAYING THAT, BUT THE SCHOOL CAN THROW

THEM OUT…

MORE FREE SPEECH IS.

THE FREE SPEECH PREVENTS THE GOVERNMENT FROM PROSECUTING

OR FINDING YOU FOR YOUR SPEECH.

I'M UTTERLY OFFENDED THAT HE DIDN'T CAPITALIZE THE J AND

JUICED OUT WHAT A JERK.

I AM OUTRAGED.

THIS IS A COLLEGE STUDENT.

IT'S NOT FUNNY.

WE TALK ABOUT COMEDY, I'M A STANDUP COMEDIAN WERE PEOPLE

THINK IT'S COOL TO TALK ABOUT ANYTHING AND I HAD AN ARGUMENT

WITH A WHITE COMEDIAN WHO USE THE INWARD AND THE KEYWORD AND

THOUGHT THE JOKE IS FUNNY.

I DON'T THINK THERE IS ANYTHING FUNNY ABOUT SLAVERY OR THE

HOLOCAUST.

THAT IS MY PERSONAL OPINION.

I WALK AWAY FROM IT WHEN I HEAR IT.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A GOOD JOKE ABOUT BURNING CHILDREN AND

YOU THINK THAT IS A GOOD JOKE, THEN MORE POWER TO YOU.

THERE IS A JOKE THAT COULD AND WITH THE PUNCH LINE

THAT INVOLVES THE HOLOCAUST, BUT IT HAS TO BE MAKING FUN OF

THE PERPETRATORS OF THE HOLOCAUST, NOT THE VICTIMS.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT

THE WHOLE SNOWFLAKE ARGUMENT, THIS DOESN'T KEEP ME UP AT

NIGHT, THIS GUY IS A STINKY CHUNK OF FARTS AND IT

DOESN'T KEEP ME UP AT NIGHT I THINK HE AND HIS BUDDIES,

BEFORE THEY DO THAT JOE, THEY LOOK AROUND AND THEY SNEAK

IT IN LIKE A LITTLE GIFT BAG AND THAT IS SLOWLY EATING AWAY

AT THE FIBER OF SOCIETY.

. HE SEXES, THIS COULD BE A GIRL.

IT'S FUNNY IF IT'S A GIRL THOUGH

AND IT BECOMES A LITTLE HOT.

How To Clean a Gas Fireplace - Duration: 4:03.

Hey guys, Ben with House In Progress

Today we're going to show you how to clean up

a gas fireplace.

This is just a one on our difficulty scale.

As far as tools and supplies, we

used a shop vac and some glass cleaner.

What we had going on here was some white film

building up on the inside of the glass,

some rocks caught in between the

glass and the fireplace and then some

dirt and dust underneath.

So we'll show you the easiest way to get this

all cleaned up.

Ok so today our first step is to open up

this bottom grate here and by the way,

just so you know, we're working on a

Lennox fireplace today.

We're going to push that in and then pull it out.

There should be magnets on both sides

that keep that up.

Next, before we do anything else since we have

this open right here we're going to turn our

pilot light to the off position and then

also just to be safe because we don't

want anything happening

we're also going to turn our gas lever

to the off position as well

Next we're going to come up here to the

top of the grate. We're going to pull

this up and this is the same on most

fireplaces and then you're going to pull

down and out and you can see there are

just some hooks on the end here.

Next step we're going to

come down here underneath and we'll get

this all cleaned out in a minute but

we're going to come underneath and there

should be two silver clips, one on each side,

we're going to pop those off. One there

and one there and we're going to have a

little bit of a mess here but that then

frees up the bottom of our glass and

you're just going to lift this right off

and just make sure you lay it down on a

soft surface here. So now we're going to

show you how to clean up the glass first

thing take out your shop vac and get all

the big debris we had a bunch fall in

the grate so we're going to get that

cleaned up

next go ahead and remove your logs make

sure you take a picture of this before

you take them out so that you remember

how they go back in once you do that

take the rock wall out one by one and

try to get at any debris or dirt as you

go and then we're going to go to

cleaning the glass so spray some glass

cleaner on their scrub it all up you can

hold it up to the light to make sure

that you didn't miss any spots and then

once you're good there go ahead and put

your rock wall back in just behind the

line of the first flame so that the

flame touches it

that's going to give you your nice ember

effect and then you can go ahead and

take a look at your picture and put your

logs back in okay so now that we've got

the glass cleaned up we're going to take

our glass base and put it back on here

make sure that that top piece hooks in

and that you're even on both sides

ok so now we're going to go back to our

latches underneath the glass one at a

time we're going to make sure those are

secure we'll take our top great look

that back onto the sides make sure that

stays up there

ok so we have our glass cleaned last

step is just to light our pilot light

which you can click one of our other

videos and close everything back up

thanks for watching

we're going to show you how to clean out

your get your gas fireplace

you know tell me back to our hooks one

at a time

look those in matches

yeah and let's go back

How To Caulk Like a Pro - Duration: 3:22.

Hey guys this is Scott with House In Progress

Today we got a real simple project for you

What we're going to be doing is filling in our sink with caulk

This is going to give it a nice finished look, as well as preventing water, dirt, and debris from

falling behind the sink

So, really easy project, just a 1 out of 5 on our difficulty scale so let's just go ahead

and dive in and get started

The supplies and tools that we're gonna need for this project are pretty straight forward

I've got a fast dry, thirty minute, silicon based caulk

I've got the caulking gun, a utility knife to open the caulk, and then we've got a little

container with some water in it, and then some paper towels to clean up if need

So let's go ahead and get started on just showing you how this process works

The first step here is just cut an opening in our caulk

I like to try and make this as small as possible and do it at a 45 degree angle so that the

caulk comes out nice and smooth when we're putting it at an angle

We've got a small opening now and we're ready to go

Putting the caulk in here, we're just gonna put a little bit of slight pressure on it

and now we're ready to go

So do whatever is comfortable for you, start in the corner, and just start to slowly squeeze

this out until you see it come out

Now we're just going to keep a smooth pull and drag across the surface here

We're gonna go all the way to the end

OK

And now it's important to dip your finger in water and we're just gonna go really smoothly

and we're gonna try to push down more onto the sink itself

We're going to use our rag, dip our finger in more water, keep that really clean

Keep squishing that down in there

The wetness on the finger really helps spread the caulk around without it getting stuck

to your finger or stuck to the wrong surface

And there we go

To do this side properly we're going to need to remove our faucet

We've got another video, you can click the annotation and we'll show you how to do that

Now with our faucet removed, we're going to do the same process as before

We'll start in the corner give it a squeeze until you see the caulk come out and just

put really even pressure on the handle of the caulk gun while sliding at the correct

rate so that you get a nice bead right along the wall here

If you've got a bigger gap coming up go a little bit slower and allow it to fill in

a little bit more

Remember to push down on the caulk because you don't want it

going on the wall as much as possible

Keep your finger really clean, and there you go

So hopefully you guys didn't find that video too difficult to follow along with, the result

is really nice

And props to us for not making any dirty jokes that whole time

Thanks for watching, we'll see you next time

This is Scott with House in Progress, today we're going to be showing you how to seal

up - Hey guys is Sss - Go up a little bit higher, we'll do this again - You good?

We've got a caulking gun, they come in all different sizes - why did I why did I have

to go into more detail?

And it's as easy as that, the sink is all sealed up nice and tight and kudos to us -

How To Install a Light Switch - Duration: 5:02.

Hey guys this is Scott with House in Progress.

Today we're going to be showing you how to upgrade some old toggle switches to flat panel

switches.

This is a two out of our five point scale, so relatively easy.

For this project, you're going to want to buy some flat panel light switches, you're

going to want face plates that go with the light switches.

As far as a screwdriver, both a Phillips and a flat-head are going to go a long way in

helping you out.

Then a really small, skinny screwdriver or a pick will be great for popping the wire

out of the switch, and some needle-nose pliers for bending the wire around the screw.

The most important part of any electrical project, find your breaker box.

Mine is located on the side of my house, and we're gonna flip off the breaker associated

with what we're working on.

In my case, that one right there.

All you do is flick the switch over, and we'll go inside and make sure everything is turned

off, and we're good to go.

Checking our switches and nothing turns on, so we're good to go.

So the first step is to remove the faceplate here, pretty straight-forward.

Alright, now that we've got the innards exposed here, we're going to undo the two screws that

are holding in our actual light switches.

So go ahead and remove those next.

Alright, and then we're just going to pull these away from the wall with as much room

as we have.

Don't pull too far, you don't want to screw anything up in the back there, but just so

you can see the cabling.

With everything all exposed now, we've got a couple of wires to take a look at.

We've got the ground wire, which is always going to be an exposed copper wire, generally

screwed in to the metal plate outside of the switch itself.

Then we've got the wire that carries the power from the house and the wire that goes to the

unit that needs power.

So in our case, this will be the light and this will be power from the house.

In this one over here you can see it's not a colored wire, but this one is still the

one that is carrying the load and then sending the load to the light.

So, let's go ahead and pop these out.

Most light switches will have some kind of cavity that you can push a tool into and it

will just release the cable.

So we're just going to pop this in and pull our cable out.

You want to make sure that you keep track of these cables, whichever one was in the

lower section carrying the load needs to be separated from the other one so that you can

put it into new light switch appropriately.

And now we just need to unscrew the grounding wire, so just put your screwdriver in and

then just unscrew that.

These are generally wrapped around the screw itself, so you might have to kinda tug on

it a little bit to get it undone, but it should come out fairly straightforward.

Now we've got all three separate wires, so we're ready to put our new switch in.

One thing to take note of before you do the install of the switch, there is an indicator

marking the top generally, and on this one it says "top".

Make sure you keep note of that and install the switch in the correct orientation, otherwise

your light switch will work backwards.

You want to examine the back of your switch, find out where the holes are that we're going

to need to put our wires into.

And since we're not using these screws on the side, I'm just going to screw these in

real quick and get them closed up.

With the copper wire I've used my needle-nose pliers to bend the wire into shape so that

it will go around screw much easier.

I'm just going to go ahead and screw this on as tight as possible.

Then we're going to find our holes, and pop our cables into those holes, just give it

a nice push until it doesn't go in any further.

Same thing with the bottom one.

It doesn't matter which order you put them back into the switch, since the power is off

it's not going to make a difference.

Now we're ready to screw these back into the wall.

You want to try and bend these wires so that they fit directly behind the switch that they're

plugged into.

Now that we've got our light switches in place with the wires, we're ready to screw them

in.

We're going to go right on into the screw hole on the baseplate itself.

We're going to screw these in one at a time, we want to make sure that we get everything

lined up before we commit to anything.

So we're just going to get these screwed in slightly, so that way we have some room to

do some tweaking.

At this point you want to try and twist these and get them just perpendicular to the wall

so that everything is going to line up correctly once we put our cover plate on.

Then we can go ahead and tighten them up.

Alright, now we've got everything all tightened up, so now its just time to put our faceplate

on.

This should just slide right over the top.

Before you screw these in, just make sure that you're happy with the way the spacing

looks all around.

You can still adjust if needed.

If you're happy then just go ahead and screw everything in.

You want to make sure that you don't over-tighten these, you will crack the plastic.

So you're just going just until it gets nice and snug up against the wall, and then calling

it good.

Here's our finished product, if you're ready to make the switch, hopefully you found this

video helpful.

- screwdriver, a pick, a faceplate, I already forgot what we need for this project.

You might need to pull- I've got the wire here, I've pre-brent - , I've pre-brent it,

I've already bent it with my needle-nose pliers, to make it a little bit easier, or so we thought...

I thought it'd be a lot easier...

Thousands continue protests against government in Romania February 12, 2017 - Duration: 13:51.

Thousands continue protests against government in Romania

Thousands of Romanians protested in Bucharest and other cities on Sunday against the Social

Democrat government that tried to weaken a crackdown on corruption earlier this month.

The one-month-old cabinet of Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu enraged voters when it quietly

approved late on Jan. 31 an emergency decree that would have decriminalized several graft

offenses.

The decree, which was widely criticized in Romania and by its Western allies, prompted

the largest display of popular anger since the fall of communism in 1989, with at least

half a million people taking to the streets last Sunday.

The government was forced to rescind the decree, and its architect, Justice Minister Florin

Iordache resigned, citing a need to appease public opinion but arguing he had done nothing

wrong.

But even after the degree was withdrawn, rallies have continued throughout the week, with protesters

demanding the resignation of a government they say they cannot trust.

In Bucharest on Sunday, at least 50,000 people gathered outside the government's headquarters,

carrying banners that said "Resist" and chanting "We want to work, not guard you".

At 1900 GMT they raised pieces of red, yellow and blue colored paper above their heads to

form a giant Romanian flag.

Tens of thousands protested in other Romanian cities and abroad.

"The feeling in the street is that there hasn't been closure," said Catalin Tenita, 39, an

IT entrepreneur who co-founded Geeks for Democracy, an online platform that aims to connect IT

experts, designers and others for projects that would improve governance.

"We're in a situation where the government is consuming social resources just because

they wouldn't admit they have done something wrong."

Parliament, where the ruling coalition holds a big majority, must still vote on whether

to confirm the decree's withdrawal.

On Friday, Social Democrat leader and lower house speaker Liviu Dragnea said parliament

should meet to approve the withdrawal as soon as possible.

ragnea, who is on trial in an abuse of power case and who would have benefited from the

decree, has urged allowing the government to implement a program of wage and pension

increases that helped the Social Democrats win the Dec. 11 election.

Interim Justice Minister Ana Birchall has said she plans to meet the top magistrates

council, chief prosecutors and other members of the judiciary on Monday to discuss changes

to the criminal code.

Premier Grindeanu has said the decree was rescinded in the interests of social unity.

He then appointed earlier this week a vice president of the state's food safety authority

who is under investigation by anti-corruption prosecutors for 19 counts of bribe taking.

Grindeanu dismissed her one day later.

Toshiba prepares to unveil nuclear hole, other perils threaten

Toshiba Corp (6502.T) will on Tuesday detail a writedown of close to $6 billion after bruising

cost overruns at its U.S. nuclear arm, turning investor attention to the Japanese group's

efforts to fix that and other balance sheet headaches.

The TVs-to-construction conglomerate warned of a potential multi-billion dollar nuclear

writedown in December, a year after a $1.3 billion accounting scandal.

Sources familiar with the matter say the final charge, to be detailed alongside quarterly

earnings, will be as high as 700 billion yen ($6.2 billion), a sum which alone would wipe

out the company's shareholder equity.

Toshiba, which has seen its market value almost halve since the prospect of a writedown emerged

in December, is also expected to outline the prospects for its nuclear arm and update investors

on efforts to raise capital, including through the sale of a stake in its flagship memory

chips business.

"The question for Toshiba is how is it going to move forward," said Masahiko Ishino, analyst

at Tokai Tokyo Research Center.

He added Toshiba would need to show how it could stay competitive in the cash-generating

but capital-intensive memory chip industry, given its battered balance sheet.

Toshiba has offered a 19.9 percent of its prize chips business to investment funds and

rivals including Bain Capital, SK Hynix (000660.KS) and Micron Technology (MU.O).

PILLAR OF BUSINESS

On Thursday, a source said that Toshiba had received bids of between 200 billion yen to

400 billion yen for the flash memory stake, a range that could cover the 300 billion yen

the company wants to raise.

It prefers multiple investors.

Toshiba is a pillar of Japan's business establishment.

Born in the tumult of Japan's emergence from centuries of isolation, it made Japan's first

light bulb and was a pioneer in laptop computers.

Toshiba's 190,000 workers, employed at some 500 units, likely will make it too big to

fail.

But as with other established Japanese firms that have dodged financial collapse, such

as liquid crystal display inventor Sharp Corp (6753.T), Toshiba could face protracted pain.

Financial sources last week pointed to problem businesses within Toshiba beyond nuclear,

including Landis+Gyr AG.

Toshiba agreed to buy that unlisted meter maker for $2.3 billion in 2011 to tap smart

grid demand that at the time was expected to grow six-fold to around $70 billion in

10 years.

At the end of September, the goodwill value of Landis+Gyr was 143.2 billion yen ($1.3

billion).

Other stumbling blocks for Toshiba include a $7.4 billion commitment four years ago to

buy U.S. liquefied natural gas believing that would help sell power plant turbines.

ACCOUNTING SCANDAL

A fall in Asian gas prices, now at about half the level they were, has cast doubt on that

strategy.

Toshiba, on a stock exchange watchlist barring it from issuing new shares, must also contend

with fallout from the 2015 accounting scandal.

Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corp (8306.T) last month said it will seek 1 billion yen

in damages, while sources say Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank Ltd and Mizuho Trust & Banking

Co are preparing similar suits.[nL4N1FK07I}

With its latest financial crisis unresolved, investors appear most nervous about Toshiba's

short-term prospects.

The cost of insuring against a credit default has soared over the past two months.

Five-year insurance, or credit default swaps, was quoted at 315/355 basis points TOSB5YJPAC=MG

on Friday, compared with 75 basis points in mid-December.

That quote, below late December highs, suggests it would cost $315,000-$355,000 per year for

five years to insure $10 million in bonds.

The CDS curve <0#TOSBJPACMPBMK=> is inverted, suggesting short-term cover is most expensive.

Australian banks narrow focus of Apple Pay collective bargaining request

Australian banks seeking permission from the country's competition regulator to bargain

collectively with Apple Inc (AAPL.O) over its mobile payment system said on Monday they

will focus on gaining access to the U.S. tech company's contactless payment function, removing

the fees Apple charges as a bone of contention.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA.AX), Westpac Banking Corp (WBC.AX), National Australia

Bank Ltd (NAB.AX) and Bendigo & Adelaide Bank Ltd (BEN.AX) command two-thirds of Australia's

credit card market but have yet to allow use of their cards with Apple Pay which was introduced

to the country last year.

Under Australian law, bargaining cartels can be formed with the approval of authorities.

A cartel would strengthen the banks in negotiating the ability to offer their own digital wallets

for Apple's iPhones - the first major challenge to Apple Pay of its kind globally.

Apple Pay allows users to register credit cards on iPhones, and pay for goods and services

by swiping the devices over contactless payment terminals.

Apple charges card providers for transactions made using Apple Pay and does not allow companies

to develop their own mobile wallets, which would allow banks to circumvent transaction

fees and get customers to engage more frequently with their own apps.

In the banks' initial application lodged in July, they sought to negotiate with Apple

over fees as well as access to the contactless payments function.

In a draft decision issued in November, which it described as "finely balanced", the Australian

Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) proposed to deny the collective bargaining

application.

At the time, ACCC Chairman Rod Sims told Reuters that if fees were at the heart of the banks'

application, then it would be difficult for them to win approval.

But if the issue was more about access to Apple's contactless payment technology, then

the banks had a stronger case, he said.

In a statement ahead of a final decision from the regulator, the banks on Monday said they

had narrowed the application to focus on contactless payments and halved the collective bargaining

authorization term to 18 months.

"It is about the consumer having the choice of multiple wallets," said Lance Blockley,

a spokesman for the banks.

In a submission to the competition regulator on Jan. 31, Apple said there were no public

benefits to providing the banks access to its contactless payment system, and that doing

so would give them a "free-ride" on Apple's investment in technology.

Among other banks, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd (ANZ.AX) has offered Apple

Pay to customers since April, while Macquarie Group Ltd (MQG.AX) and ING Groep NV's (INGA.AS)

ING Direct on Friday said they would introduce Apple Pay this month.

SoundCloud loses key executives amid fundraising drive

Music-streaming service SoundCloud has lost two senior executives and is seeking to raise

new funding, the company said on Sunday, but denied a Financial Times report that it was

running low on cash.

Marc Strigel, SoundCloud's chief operating officer, and finance director Markus Harder

left after five years with the company to pursue new opportunities, a spokeswoman for

Berlin-based SoundCloud said, without giving details.

"SoundCloud is currently fundraising, which is typical of most startups of our size and

in our phase of growth," the spokeswoman said, denying an assertion by an anonymous source

quoted by the FT as saying it was seeking financing in "desperation."

The firm raised $100 million last June from a group of investors including Twitter, half

the $193 million it has taken in since its founding in 2008, according to Crunchbase

data.

The FT's source said SoundCloud was looking to raise funds while seeking to avoid accepting

a lower valuation than the roughly $700 million when it last raised money.

SoundCloud is popular among music artists, but has been less successful at striking licensing

deals on favorable terms with major music labels than rivals Spotify and Apple Music.

The SoundCloud spokeswoman reported business as usual, saying the executive departures

were unrelated to its fundraising.

The company said in a report filed early in January that it made a loss of 48.7 million

euros ($51.8 million) after tax during the 2015 calendar year.

The company's auditors warned in the filing with UK Companies House that a material uncertainty

exists that may cast doubt on the company's ability to continue as a going concern.

"This is unrelated to our 'normal course' fundraising efforts, which are being led by

our recently appointed Chief Financial Officer, Holly Lim," the SoundCloud spokeswoman said.

Lim joined in September after working at Google.

"SoundCloud remains in a position of strength and is confident in its long-term prospects

as it continues to be the go to platform for the creative community," the spokeswoman said.
