Ryan Congress Will Scrap, Replace Obamacare in 2017.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said flatly on Tuesday that Obamacare will be repealed and replaced

in 2017.

�The legislating is going to be done this year,� he said during a news conference.

�We are going to be done with legislating with respect to Obamacare.�

On Sunday, President Donald Trump had indicated the timetable could be more fluid.

When asked by Fox News host Bill O�Reilly if Obamacare would be replaced this year,

Trump said, �maybe it�ll take until sometime into next year, but we are certainly gonna

be in the process. Very complicated.�

�Obamacare is a disaster. You have to remember, Obamacare doesn�t work. So we are putting

in a wonderful plan. It statutorily takes a while to get,� Trump said. �We�re

gonna be putting it in fairly soon. I think that, yes, I would like to say, by the end

of the year, at least the rudiments, but we should have something within the year and

the following year.�

Ryan indicated that for Americans looking at implementation of the changes, Trump�s

timeline was not far off the mark.

�The legislating is going to be done this year,� Ryan said. �The question is, how

long does it take to implement the full replacement of Obamacare.�

In the past, Republicans have said it could take two years to implement all of the changes

made to Obamacare.

Ryan said Republicans are conducting a �rescue mission� from �the collapse that is coming

because of Obamacare.�

Ryan said Obamacare repeals and replacement will move faster once the Senate confirms

Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., as the next secretary of health and human services.

The process will involve multiple lawmakers and committees.

�There�s a lot of moving parts,� said Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Ky.

Rogers said the current system �is collapsing� so Republicans are working to �do something

that we have to do as soon as we can, but do it right�

Your phone probably knows more about you right now than your mom, because it's the first

thing you touch in the morning, it's the last thing you touch at night.

And if it were to be able to view everything it would know who you call, how long you call,

what apps you use.

It has the potential to have a really good understanding of who you are and what you're

up to.

When people think about their feelings a lot of times people feel like feelings are really

ephemeral or that it's just a very sort of personal thing.

Well it turns out that our feelings actually do have signals that show up in things like

our heart rate variability, our galvanic skin response.

And so there's actually signal to our feelings.

And so what's starting to happen is we're starting to have the ability to pick up the

biological signals from various mental states.

Stress is probably the easiest one.

And then another thing is that people feel like human psychology is very ephemeral too.

Like we all like to think that we're completely unique and special snowflakes.

And while each snowflake has its own story like my mother is a different person than

your m other.

I grew up in a different neighborhood than you did.

When you start to take the data from our digital exhaust, it actually is very, very good at

predicting what we're interested in which is also a good proxy for human psychology.

And so, you know, a good place to ask oneself is like is this science fiction or is it real

would be just look at the ad tech business.

So when you're on Facebook or when you're online the advertisers or the people who are

supporting the advertisers know exactly what you stop on.

They track something called scroll speed so they know what catches your eye even if you

Ryan indicated that for Americans looking at implementation of the changes, Trump�s

timeline was not far off the mark.

�The legislating is going to be done this year,� Ryan said. �The question is, how

long does it take to implement the full replacement of Obamacare.�

In the past, Republicans have said it could take two years to implement all of the changes

made to Obamacare.

Ryan said Republicans are conducting a �rescue mission� from �the collapse that is coming

because of Obamacare.�

Ryan said Obamacare repeals and replacement will move faster once the Senate confirms

Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., as the next secretary of health and human services.

The process will involve multiple lawmakers and committees.

�There�s a lot of moving parts,� said Rep. Hal Rogers, R-Ky.

Rogers said the current system �is collapsing� so Republicans are working to �do something

that we have to do as soon as we can, but do it right�

People that I know from

smaller towns and more rural areas,

are lovely people who care about their neighbors.

So, it's a more complicated

Your phone probably knows more about you right now than your mom, because it's the first

thing you touch in the morning, it's the last thing you touch at night.

And if it were to be able to view everything it would know who you call, how long you call,

what apps you use.

It has the potential to have a really good understanding of who you are and what you're

up to.

When people think about their feelings a lot of times people feel like feelings are really

ephemeral or that it's just a very sort of personal thing.

Well it turns out that our feelings actually do have signals that show up in things like

our heart rate variability, our galvanic skin response.

And so there's actually signal to our feelings.

And so what's starting to happen is we're starting to have the ability to pick up the

biological signals from various mental states.

Stress is probably the easiest one.

And then another thing is that people feel like human psychology is very ephemeral too.

Like we all like to think that we're completely unique and special snowflakes.

And while each snowflake has its own story like my mother is a different person than

your m other.

I grew up in a different neighborhood than you did.

When you start to take the data from our digital exhaust, it actually is very, very good at

predicting what we're interested in which is also a good proxy for human psychology.

And so, you know, a good place to ask oneself is like is this science fiction or is it real

would be just look at the ad tech business.

So when you're on Facebook or when you're online the advertisers or the people who are

supporting the advertisers know exactly what you stop on.

They track something called scroll speed so they know what catches your eye even if you

don't click on it.

And so and also there's a lot of research that's going into micro facial recognition

making that something that advertisers can use to really see the effectiveness of their

ads.

We have over 100 facial expressions, only nine of which we control.

And so these things are great at picking up our emotion, what we like, what we don't

like.

And if you add that into a lot of data about what sites you went to, what you checked out

it becomes fairly easy to create a profile of someone.

Right now a lot of these things are really just being used for advertising.

But you could also use it to turn it and put it in the hands of the consumer so that they

can understand themselves better.

Because we aren't actually really good often at managing ourselves or always knowing what

we're up to over time.

It's one of the reasons why behavior change is such a hard task.

Like it's actually hard to change your behavior

To take that and use that to harness that for you so you could say this is what I'd

like to do, this is what I'd like to change, these are the things that I'd like to improve

on.

This is what I'd like to understand about myself.

And to have all of that technology instead of having a use case just to sell things to

you for it to be a use case for you to transform into who you want to be.

When I go online, the content is already built.

I don't have to focus my time on that, and it gives me, five, ten times more time to

House Speaker Paul Ryan said flatly on Tuesday that Obamacare will be repealed and replaced

in 2017.

�The legislating is going to be done this year,� he said during a news conference.

�We are going to be done with legislating with respect to Obamacare.�

On Sunday, President Donald Trump had indicated the timetable could be more fluid.

When asked by Fox News host Bill O�Reilly if Obamacare would be replaced this year,

Trump said, �maybe it�ll take until sometime into next year, but we are certainly gonna

be in the process. Very complicated.�

�Obamacare is a disaster. You have to remember, Obamacare doesn�t work. So we are putting

in a wonderful plan. It statutorily takes a while to get,� Trump said. �We�re

gonna be putting it in fairly soon. I think that, yes, I would like to say, by the end

of the year, at least the rudiments, but we should have something within the year and

the following year.�

My spouse is in a nursing home and I need help paying for care.

What will I have to live on if my spouse gets Medicaid?

If your spouse gets Medicaid, there are both asset rules and income rules so that the spouse

at home is not impoverished.

They are complex, but today I'll paint with a broad brush, give you an overview.

On the asset rules, the spouse at home right now in Massachusetts gets to keep $119,000

and change.

The nursing home spouse has to be at $2,000, but the spouse at home can keep up to $119,000.

There's lots of ways to get you there under the rules and you should see a qualified elder

law attorney to discuss your options.

That's how much assets you can keep.

The house doesn't count.

The house is non-countable, so it doesn't count in that $119,000.

It my be unprotected from a Medicaid lien, but at least it doesn't count toward the $119,000.

To protect it, again you want to see a qualified attorney.

That's assets.

On the income side of things, generally speaking the spouse at home gets to keep an unlimited

amount of their own income.

If you're the spouse at home and you have a lot of income, that's great news.

If you have very little income, maybe you're not so thrilled about that rule.

The spouse at home gets to keep an unlimited amount of income.

The nursing home spouse, generally speaking, has to give their income to the nursing home

minus a couple of things; $72.80 a month for personal needs and so much as to pay for any

insurance premiums, health insurance premiums.

Other than that, the general rule is that the nursing home gets the nursing home spouse's

income, but there are exceptions.

There's a thing called the minimum monthly maintenance needs allowance, which is a rule

essentially that allows the at-home spouse to keep some or sometimes all of the nursing

home spouse's income if they need it.

The rules there are complex as well and you should see an attorney specializing in this

area to decide what exactly you'll be able to keep.

It's dark! I am already in Skopje.

The date is 30 of October

The time is 5:00 p.m but the because of the time change to winter time it's already dark.

I passed the border today...

where they killed me...

€50 for motorcycle insurance for 15 days. I would never expect it to be that expensive.

A lot of statues around... a lot of fountains.... a lot of lights....

I don't know what is exactly the point of all those things.

off course there are statues connected to Alexander the Great.

I won't comment on that...

I get the impression that,

if you don't own something you do everything that's possible to convince everyone that you own it...

There are huge statues for Alexander the Great and his family...

If they were his descendants would they need to do all that showoff?

I don't know...

And I don't want to get involved with history right now...

But that's the first impression I get from the town center.

This is the old train station of the city.

It was constructed at 1938 and was active only for 23 years...

At 1963, at 5:17 a.m, exactly where the clock stopped, there was a huge earthquake of 6.3 richter scale

that destroed 95%of the city.

The city of Skopje in the last 2000 years was totally destroyed 3 times by earthquakes.

One of the biggest figures of philanthropy of the 20th century was Mother Teresa

She was born in Skopje at 1910 and died in Kalkuta of India at 1997.

During her life, she organized more that 500 humanitary aids in over 100 countries.

She visited Skopje 4 times after becoming a sister.

One of those times was in 1963 after the earthquake.

Here is a picture of her having a look at the plan of the city with the mayor.

In the spot that the museum stands today, was a small Catholic church (she was baptized here)

It was destroyed as well in the earthquake.

You can visit this museum for free. It's been here for the last 7 years.

and in my opinion is totally worth a visiit.

In Skopje they have statues for the shoe cleaners...just because they had a lot of them

They have a beggar statue as well for the same reason.

This statue costed €77.000... if they were giving those money to beggars they could

guarantee a better future for them, but instead they made them a statue...

This statue due to the VETO that Greece exercised to FYROM cannot be named "Great Alexander".

Instead the name of the monumet is "Warrior on a horse"

it costed €8.3 million.

I just left from Skopje today.

I climped Vodno mountain which is right on top of the city.

and the reason i am here is to check out this huge cross behind me and have some panoramic view of the city.

"Millenium Cross" is the bigger cross of the world...

The hight is 66 meters which makes it double of the Christ the Redeemer in Rio

The guys that work on the lifts are so tragic...

Every half an hour they stop for a break.

I was having a look on Trip Advisor about this place and the statistics said that the average visitor stays here

for about 1 hour, which makes absolute sence since there are no lifts for half of the hour to get you down...

Everybody has to wait.....

I am at Matka canyon

One of the most beautiful places that someone can visit in FYROM

The path alongside the canyon is about 6km of length.

It's located just 20km away from the city of Skopje. It's very close.

There are everyday busses that come here from the city.

It's very beautiful and quiet place. Off course it's November now..

I suppose in Summer time it's going to be full of people over here.
