Blackfire and Starfire.

Koriand'r and Komand'r.

Two Tamaranian sisters who have one of the most heated sibling rivalries in comic book

history.

The pair have gone up against each other MULTIPLE times, but today, we're taking a closer

look at how that fight would go down, and, most importantly, who the true champion would

be.

Hey everyone!

Welcome back to Versus!

The video series on our channel where we break down how fights would go down between your

favourite fictional characters.

Today we're taking a look at two DC favourites - a heroine and her antagonist sister - and

analyzing what their battle would entail.

Let us know who you think should win in those comments below with either hashtag Starfire

or hashtag Blackfire.

Before we begin, let's get everyone up to speed.

Starfire, aka Kory, was first introduced in a preview story inserted in DC Comics Presents

#26 in 1980, crafted by Teen Titans legends Marvel Wolfman and George Perez.

Blackfire appeared two years after that, being a foe for Satrfire and her friends in the

Teen Titans.

These two, both daughters of the Tamaran's royal family, have had a rough history together.

First off, when Komand'r was born, she was crippled by a childhood illness that left

her unable to fly as fast as other Tamaranians.

It's also worth noting that Blackfire was born on a day in which a Tamaranean city was

destroy by the Citadel Empire, which, despite only being a new born child, left an unfortunate

connection between her and the deaths of the 3000 Tamaranians, which didn't do much to

help.

Because of this, she was denied her birthright as the eldest child, and all of that went

to Starfire.

Hence the intense sibling rivalry.

Komand'r sold her people out, joined the Citadel, and conquered Tamaran with them.

Komand'r, filled with resentment, made Kory a slave, where she was tortured and raped,

until one point she decided to execute her.

Then the Psions invaded, captured both girls, did experiments on them, which developed their

ultraviolet energy powers.

Kory escaped and fled to Earth, and by the time The New Teen Titans #23 rolled around,

Komand'r had kidnapped Kori and was in the process of becoming the Citadel's new leader.

And of course, the two fight.

But we'll get back to that in a sec.

Moving on to abilities!

What can these ladies do?

Looking at Kory first, she's capable of super strength, super speed, super agility,

super reflexes, enhanced endurance, enhanced stamina, near invulnerability.

She's got enhanced longevity and decelerated aging, faster than light flight abilities,

language mimicry, an immunity to intense radiation, cold and heat.

She's an expert alien martial artist.

And, most notably, uses Ultraviolet Energy Projection to shoot star bolt blasts, create

and control magenta fire and emit an aura of bright magenta fire.

Her star bolt eye beams are powers that stem from the animated series adaptation of the

character.

She also doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep and does not require an atmosphere to breathe.

Although if she is low on ultraviolet energy, she does need that support.

What about Komand'r?

Well, she can pretty much do everything Starfire can, minus being able to achieve the same

speeds when flying due to her childhood illness.

Aside from that, she's a master manipulator.

Considering this isn't a battle of wits, that won't really come in handy, but it

is worth noting that in the grand scheme of their previous narratives, Blackfire's manipulation

abilities have given her the upper hand.

We can't analyze how these two would fair in a fight without, well, discussing how they've

faired in previous fights.

Well, there's the battle the two at the end of Blackfire's first arc in New Teen

Titans.

And how did that end?

Well, in New Teen Titans Annual #1, vol 1, after enduring a bunch of torture via her

manipulative sister, Kory snaps (and has some series rabies dribble coming out of her mouth

might I add).

She gets in several intense hits before Komand'r can really get back into the offensive.

They taunt each other, with Komand'r trying to figure out how she can manipulate Kory's

sense of compassion to stop her onslaught of attacks long enough to get the perfect

moment to strike her down.

The Psions then pause their battle, and increase the stakes by challenging them to a fight

to the death on their home planet, saying that if Blackfire wins, she gets the coveted

leadership of the Citadel, and if Starfire wins, they'll eff off and spare Tamaran

for good.

The two have another excessive fight, with Komand'r holding on to Kory since she can't

fly.

They bash each other up a bunch, fall over a waterfall, and only Kory emerges.

It's assumed that Blackfire died, but that wasn't the end of her, and the next story

arc she appears in had her leading one side during a Tamaran civil war.

The Teen Titans intervene, her and Starfire duke it out yet again, and their family intervenes,

exiling Starfire.

So that brings us to their fight.

While it's of public opinion that Starfire generally always wins - big thanks to the

animated Teen Titan adaptations for that - one can't deny that Blackfire can easily hold

her own against her sister.

Both are trained fighters, both have proven to be inventive on the battlefield with one

another and both have endured attack after attack from each other, usually with intervention

being the reason why they stop plummeting the other.

Even with Komand'r's innate disadvantages, she's still managed to hold her own.

While Komand'r can manipulate, Kory feels compassion, which can be more of a strength

than a weakness at times.

As far as the greater good is concerned, Starfire would be the winner, but that's not how

all fights work.

So on this one, we call A TIE.

In a relationship there are certain things you just don't do.

Now obviously cheating is one of those things- but there are many other smaller yet still

important things that you shouldn't do and that's what im going to be talking about

today.

Alright without further a due lets get started on our list of the top 5 things you should

never do with your girlfriend.

And just to clarify for this particular list- I know sometimes girls are in a relationship

with other girls or saying girlfriend can just mean a female friend but for this list

we are referring too things boyfriends should never do with their girlfriends.

Just wanted to clarify.

Starting off at our number 5 spot--Make fun of her- Now when your alone its ok to playfully

poke fun at one another in privacy.

But when you start to do it in front of other people that's when things can go wrong.

No matter how long you've been dating theres a good chance shes going to get mad especially

if you joke about something only the 2 of you know about.

And if you really go below the belt with your joke and its in front of a large group of

your fiends then shes just going to think youre rude- stupid and inconsiderate.

Your girlfriend may just laugh and brush it off in hopes that people don't know how

bothered she was by it.

But the next time you want to make a joke do it at your own expense.

In at number 4--Cancel plans to hangout with the boys- if you have set plans with your

girlfriend its never as good idea to cancel those plans because the guys asked you to

come hangout.

Although canceling plans to see a movie or grab a quick bite with your girlfriend may

seem harmless its just going to bother her and leave her feeling like she cant rely on

you.

And chances are if you cancel once then it will just lead to it happening time after

time again.

What you can do in this situation however is- if you and your girl just have plans to

hangout- nothings been decided on yet- and your buddy invites you to an event.

You could ask your girlfriend if shed be cool with this and she may be or you can ask your

buddy if she can come along.

At number 3--Hold a grudge- its never a good idea to hold a grudge with anyone.

But its an especially bad idea to hold a grudge with a girlfriend.

That's mostly because were super stubborn.

Yeah if I make a list about the top 5 things you should never do with your boyfriend- being

stubborn with them is definitely making it onto that list.

Sometimes when someone screws up in a relationship the other person holds a grudge and finds

it justifiable for themselves to make an equally bad if not worse mistake.

If youre really keeping a score board when it comes to screw ups and you feel the need

to get even then your relationship is already doomed.

Coming in at number 2--Compare- one of the worst things you can do to your girlfriend

is compare her to other girls.

In your lifetime theres a good chance youre going to have a handful of girlfriends or

boyfriends.

What you cant do is compare the person your currently in a relationship with to a past

relationship.

Don't compare your girlfriend to some hot chick at the bar- or the gym.

Also don't compare her to any of your female friends.

When your with someone youre with them.

And they shouldn't feel like they have to compete with anyone else.

This is only going to result in your girlfriend feeling like crap and quite honestly it will

probably make them resent you and feel as though they cant trust you.

And at number 1 --Stop putting in effort- as a relationship progresses and the months

then years go by a lot of the time people get comfortable.

And theres nothing wrong with that- you should be comfortable with your partner.

The problem is when you start to become too comfortable that you just stop putting in

the same amount of effort you used to.

No matter how long you've been with someone you should never stop complementing them-

telling them you love them- surprising them with little gifts that remind you of them-

planning outings- making birthdays and anniversaries extra special and going out on romantic dates.

Its always important that you keep putting in the effort and show your love for the other

person.

Relationships take work so the minute the effort stops its going to go downhill.

6 Tips To Help You Move On From A Toxic Relationship - Duration: 2:36.

Toxic relationships can do more emotional damage than you even realize.

Here are some tips to help you move on from an unhealthy relationship.

1.

Take your time to grieve.

So for example, if your ex blamed you for the break-up, it's normal to feel angry,

resentful and agitated after.

It's ok to feel the way you do and when you're ready, it's also ok to move on

from those feelings especially since they don't serve a purpose in your life.

It may take 6 months...

Maybe more.

That's ok.

There's no rush.

2.

Let go of stifling mindsets.

If you were told by your ex that you were wrong for wanting certain things in a relationship,

it's time to let that idea go.

It's ok for you to get everything you want and need in a relationship.

It's important that you no longer take everything that your ex has said as facts… but instead

as opinions.

Opinions that you can either take or pass on.

Don't bother reliving the beginning of the relationship when everything was really good.

People that do this do it because they're not able to accept how things turned out.

It's important to see things for what they are and not for what they were.

4.

Cut ties.

If it's over, it's over.

Many times people who have been in unhealthy relationships can find themselves pining after

their toxic ex, trying to win over their affection and love.

They may do this even though they know it wasn't working and they know that it wasn't

a healthy relationship.

Doing this is not only demoralizing but it creates a vicious cycle that you need to free

yourself from.

This leads to my next point: 5.

For now, Forget the idea of staying friends.

Attempting to stay friends after an unhealthy relationship will only keep you reliving the

same scenarios.

If a respectful friendship develops in the future, great but for now, keep your distance.

6.

Seek counseling so that you can process everything that was said and done.

When we are in an unhealthy relationship we can be blind to all kinds of factors.

A good therapist will be able to open your eyes to what you haven't been able to see

for yourself.

As the government was shut down on Friday something else shutdown as well.

It will make Democrats even angrier than they already are.

The Trump administration rescinded guidance from the former Obama administration which

made it difficult for states to hinder Planned Parenthood funding.

The guidance was worded such that it warned states that ending Medicaid funding for Planned

Parenthood or various other healthcare service providers that provide abortions services

would be against the federal law.

The former administration made the argument that the laws surrounding Medicaid only allowed

states to bar providers from the program if the providers were not able to provide or

perform covered services or if they were unable to bill payment for those services.

President Trump rescinded the guidance in the form of a letter to Medicaid directors.

In the letter, he argued that the guidance was nothing more than President Obama's

attempts to favor and give preference to abortion rights advocates such as Planned Parenthood.

Charmaine Yoest, assistant Health and Human Services said Friday morning in a conference

call, "Reinstating the pre-2016 standards frees

up states to once again decide for themselves what reasonable standards they use to protect

Medicaid programs and their beneficiaries.

This is part of the Trump administration's effort to roll back regulations the Obama

administration put out to radically favor abortion."

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, an anti-abortion group in

Washington, D.C. said in response, "President Trump and his administration

have taken … an important step toward getting American taxpayers out of funding the abortion

industry, especially Planned Parenthood.

Finish what this pro-life administration has started by defunding Planned Parenthood."

States such as Texas have attempted to ban Planned Parenthood from the Medicaid programs

in the state.

However, under law they were blocked by the Obama administration.

Now, rescinding this Obama-era guidance won't automatically allow states to ban Planned

Parenthood from their Medicaid programs but it signals the possibility it could happen

as well as the administration's support for it.

The Hill reported, "Texas submitted a request to the Trump

administration last year requesting permission to bar Planned Parenthood from its Medicaid

program, but the administration has not yet responded.

Approval from the administration would likely spark similar efforts in other conservatives

states but also would encourage legal challenges.

Planned Parenthood on Friday said rescinding the guidance would effectively encouraging

states to block the organization from state Medicaid programs.

"They couldn't get the votes to pass it in Congress, so now they are pushing states

to try and block care at Planned Parenthood," said Dawn Laguens, executive vice president

for Planned Parenthood Action Fund.

"Without Planned Parenthood, many of our patients would lose access to health care

altogether — either because there are no other providers in their community or because

other clinics cannot serve all of our patients."

The administration has already taken several actions in President Trump's first year

in office supporting its anti-abortion stance.

In April, Trump signed legislation that nullified an Obama-era rule that effectively barred

state and local governments from withholding federal funding for family planning services

to groups that provide abortions.

The announcement on Friday comes the same day as the March for Life, an annual march

against abortion in Washington, D.C. Trump is set to speak at the march live via video,

the first president to do so.

Also set to speak at the event are House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and GOP Reps. Jaime Herrera

Beutler (Wash.) and Chris Smith (N.J.)"

While Reuters reported, "The U.S. Department of Health and Human

Services (HHS) officials also said the department was issuing a new regulation aimed at protecting

healthcare workers' civil rights based on religious and conscience objections.

The regulation protects the rights of healthcare workers from providing abortion, euthanasia,

and sterilization, the officials said during a media call with reporters.

On Thursday, HHS said it was creating a new division that would focus on conscience and

religious objections, a move it said was necessary after years of the federal government forcing

healthcare workers to provide such services.

HHS will issue a letter on Friday to state Medicaid offices rescinding 2016 guidance

that the Obama administration gave after states including Indiana had tried to defund abortion

providers such as Planned Parenthood.

"You are watching a struggle over abortion politics," said Robin Wilson, a professor

at University of Illinois College of Law.

"In a sense you're allowing state Medicaid regulators, through regulation, to reopen

a whole can of worms around women's health."

Wilson said the impact could be immediate in states which, before the Obama-era guidance,

had been working to effectively defund or limit funding to providers such as Planned

Parenthood, which provide abortions but bill them separately so that they are not paid

for by Medicaid.

Dawn Laguens, executive vice president for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said the

move encourages states to block access to care at Planned Parenthood.

"The law is clear: it is illegal to bar women from seeking care at Planned Parenthood.

Longstanding protections within Medicaid safeguard every person's right to access care at their

qualified provider of choice," Laguens said in a statement."

In reality what President Trump has done is genius.

Because with the government shutdown nobody is talking about this latest development with

Medicaid and Planned Parenthood.

This has gone relatively unnoticed and unreported on and even when it is reported on it is not

being discussed.

There is no doubt the President has been doing this all along.

While people are focusing on stupid things or the big headline catcher of the moment,

he is secretly doing the most important things behind closed doors.

New York Sen. Chuck Schumer led the fight to shut down the government over immigration,

but two videos from the past are coming back to haunt him after his true feelings on the

topic are revealed.

It's no secret that Schumer isn't a fan of the President, but going so far as to shut

down the government over people who aren't even supposed to be here is taking things

too far.

Schumer admitted as much during an interview with ABC back in 2013, when he said such a

move would cause "chaos."

Check it out:

"In 2013 Chuck Schumer argued it would be 'governmental chaos' to shut down government

over amnesty for illegals.

#Hypocrite #DACA #ReleaseTheMemo".

"They are playing with fire," said Schumer, "and we are happy to negotiate, but we don't

want to negotiate with a gun to our heads"

Speaker Boehner comes in and he says, basically, it's sort of like this; someone comes into

your house and takes you wife and kids hostage then says, 'let's negotiate over the price

of your house," explained Schumer.

"You know, we could do the same thing on immigration," he said.

"We believe strongly in immigration reform, so we could say we're shutting down the

government, we're not going to raise the debt ceiling until you pass immigration reform."

"But it would be governmental chaos," he said.

That's interesting to say the least.

It's amazing what five years and a new President will do to these guys, isn't it?

Now, if you find that video hypocritical, wait until you watch the next one, where Schumer

admits even the left's Orwellian language regarding illegals is damaging to our nation,

and that people who enter the country are, in fact, illegal aliens.

The kicker?

He says, verbatim, "illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who enter

the U.S. legally."

Watch this:

"People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens," he said.

"Illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who enter the U.S. legally."

Here's the best part; Schumer harshly criticized the use of the phrase "undocumented worker"

instead of "illegal aliens," because "we convey a message that their government is

not serious about combatting illegal immigration."

"Which the American people overwhelmingly oppose," added Schumer.

what a change in heart old Upchuck has had, isn't it?

Not too long ago, he opposed both amnesty and open borders, but one he and his party

realized they were basically like free voters, he jumped on that bandwagon fast than people

fell in love with the Dallas Cowboys after they won three consecutive Super Bowls.

Since Facebook has been killing the reach of pages like ours, make sure you spread this

around to show it to all the liberals out there who are calling out opposition to amnesty

10 Ways to Wear a Crochet Scarf - Duration: 13:25.

hey crafters so as you saw from the title of this video today I'm going to

be showing you ten different ways to wear a crochet scarf so obviously this

one is especially for my crochet peeps well I thought this would be a fun one

to do because let's be honest when you learn to crochet the first thing you

always learn to make like anybody anywhere you make a scarf and it's like

a scarf or just a nice long rectangular shape so it's a great way to practice

learning your stitches however what that often mean is you end up with oodles of

crochet scarves probably way more than you will ever actually need or wear and

the other thing is while crochet scarves definitely have their advantages they're

a lot different than silk you're thinner whiter more fabric scarves and so

wearing them can sometimes be a challenge because you might feel that

either the scarf itself is too chunky and there's just too much fabric there

or you might be afraid of looking outdated now one of my favorite things

to do is to prove to everybody that crochet is not by any means outdated so

I'm gonna show you ten different ways to wear a crochet scarf and hopefully this

will give you some pointers for what to do with your big stash of crochet scars

might give you some ideas for new patterns to try and I might also let you

know which ones you should probably let go of so for look number one I have the

most basic simple crochet scarf ever this one's not very long also I'm kind

of proud of this month this is my very first person a scarf so you can see the

end here is a little weird and wider but by the time I got to the end it wasn't

looking so bad so anyways I'm gonna show you that yes you can wear those first

scarves that you Mane now the trick with this one is this scarf isn't super wide

it's about average width and it's not very long so that's why this works so

great for this look so I'm calling this one the French choker scarf so you just

simply go around leave a nice tail down on this side and then wrap it around one

more time and kind of keep it tight up near your neck doesn't have to be super

tight but just kind of like that it has a nice little fun look almost like a

neck keeps your neck nice and warm but it

still looks cute also what's nice is even if your ends aren't completely even

it just adds a little extra Flair at the ends of this look look at number two is

probably about as simple of a look as you can get this is just a simple basic

wrap around the first way I ever knew to wear a scarf what I like about this one

is it's I'm using a scarf that has fringes on the end this is a fun little

way to take your crochet scars and now just a little extra touch to them and it

doesn't take much time you just cut out long strips of yarn and just kind of

pull them through tie him to the end to create this really cute fridge so for

this look or it's gonna be very similar to the one we just did but we're not

going to pull it tight we're just going to leave it loose and this is also a lot

of fun with these ones that aren't quite as thick because sometimes it's hard to

get them to not look like you're just wearing a really stringy scarf because I

definitely run into that problem if you make your Starke too thin but this look

is nice because you can easily kind of fluff the front part here fluff the size

and it doesn't have a stringy look and it looks like a nice cozy warm scarf and

you also have the fun little tassels on the end just to keep the look super cute

and playful this next look I've got a fairly long scarf here as you can see

and it's also kind of wide the fabric isn't super thick because I did a lacy

sort of pattern in the middle so what's super fun to do with scarves like these

is this simple fold it in half and pull through so just start with your yarn

folded in half and come around your neck and then just take both ends and go

right through the loop right there now what's fun about this look is you can

leave it as loose and far down as you want or you can snug it up a lot and

have really long tassels on your start but I really like this look expression

with scarves that have different patterns and textures in them because

it's a great way to keep the fabric and the textures of the scarf revealed but

it also keeps you warm and it looks very stylish

this fourth look is a twist on the pullthru and this is going to be the

pretzel pull through so for this one I have this fun silver scarf just neutral

colors with little flecks of color throughout there this one's fairly thin

not super low so this one works really well because it's a great little scarf

that I compare with lots of things add a little bit of warmth without having the

super intense bulk of a crochet scarf so we're gonna start in much the same way

we do with the pull through so just keep it folded in half and come with this end

around your neck and instead of pulling both through we're gonna start by

pulling just one and through just like we did before

now the second end is where it gets fun we're going to come under the top one

right here and then over the bottom one and then just cinch it up like that and

you have this nice little pretzel kind of weave Coulter here this one's fun

especially with this scarf that's really thin because again if your scarf is too

thin it ends up looking kind of stringy it doesn't look that cozy but what this

does is it allows for a little bit more thickness and a little more texture in a

very simple scarf because like I said the scarf is very neutral goes great

with a lot of items so it works really well for this cute little pretzel poke

through keeping with the neutral trend our fifth look has to do with variegated

yarn variegated yarn is a great way to spice up any crochet project and with

scarves is also an awesome way to take a simple top and add a little pop of color

just that nice contrast so for this look we can wear it just about any of the

ways that I've shown so far do you know he doesn't have to take anything special

but because the scarf itself has so much character in color by pairing it with

just a neutral top it adds a little extra Flair and it can really add some

color to an otherwise simple outfit so here I'm just showing it with the pull

through look now let's move on to some thicker crochet scarf so the ones I've

shown so far aren't particularly thick fairly thin however I have this big

monster of a scarf here that is super wide super thick so this scarf I

crocheted from some Lion Brand wool-ease thick & quick turn which

love by the way because it works up so fast however when you make it into a

scarf it ends up really chunky so sometimes it's a little overwhelming

trying to pair this well with an outfit now as you can see it's pretty long here

so I'm going to simply just take it about in half keeping my ends even and

just come around my neck like this and leave it low so this look I call the

graduation cords look with a scarf so it's almost like wearing a graduation

stole nice and long and it's a great way to wear this scarf because it both keeps

you nice and warm on your neck and also across your chest but it does sell it

out overbearing you because fix cars like these can be pretty heavy very very

warm so I really like this sixth look with this thick scarf just because it's

a great way to take something really thick and chunky and just kind of spruce

up an outfit but not keep it too boy so another option is to slide a little bit

of slack to the one end and just simply do the throw over the shorter one which

is also super cute with a fake start like this because it's heavy enough that

it will stay and because it's a thick enough scarf you can also kind of leave

it city open almost get that cowl kind of like and it's super cute and will

also provide one without being really overbearing of a look so those were

looks six and seven this one isn't quite one of the crochet

scarf looks I'm going for so what just called a seven and a half this scarf is

great if it's like really cold we actually have snow it's like today I was

just out there so you can always use a scarf like this for very practical

measures and just kind of wrap yourself up tuck yourself in and stay very very

warm on a cold day so I wouldn't necessarily say that this is a crocheted

scarf look you want to wear but this is a very practical solution for snow days

like it is for me today so keeping in a thick chunky scarf trying to of these

next few looks for look number eight I have another scarf that is made from

Lion Brand thick & quick wool-ease yarn now a couple things on this one first it

does clash a little bit with this top I apologize but we're gonna pretend it's a

perfect match second of all you'll notice that while this one is very long

and I still use um at least a full skein I probably used about 1 and a half

skeins of this you it is a lot narrower so that's a great

tip if you're making this scarf and you want to use a chunky thick yarn like

this but you don't want it to be so overpowering like the last look was is

to simply make it thinner and so with a scarf like this we can again go with any

of the looks we've done so far I like the pretzel pull through so I'm gonna do

that one again anyways I just did the pretzel pullover with this one and as I

said it ends up not being so overpowering but it still provides more

great thick soft chunky yarn but it's not so overpowering simply because the

scarf itself is narrower look number nine is one of my absolute favorite

looks of all times I've got this fun scarf here that I use some again Lion

Brand yarn I've done noticing a trend with all these scarves but anyways Lion

Brand homespun yarn this might have been a thick & quick homespun one so nice

thick chunky yarn and I did this wide almost a lacy crochet pattern to it I'll

get a pattern up on my blog so definitely go check that out if you want

to make a scarf like this but anyways you can see some really pretty

variations and hey infinity scarf yes crochets and these drugs are a thing

and they're super awesome all the different looks you can do with them so

I like to call this one the double twist so I'm just gonna start by looping it

around my neck and you can normally do an infinity scarf or you just kind of

loop it once and go back over and that looks cute but for the double twist

we're going to instead twisting it once okay one if you can figure out yeah

we're gonna twist it twice so do one twist and then a second twist and what

this does is once you loop it over it creates this really cool interlocking

kind of look I also really like the way it works with this particular scarf just

because of where the color variations fall it kind of creates this like every

other look I think it's really fun nice cozy way to wear this scarf

so look number 10 our final look this one's gonna kind of be a two-part one

just for fun so again I have another infinity scarf this is actually the same

design that I used to crochet this brown scarf where it kind of has a lacy or bit

of texture in the middle but what's fun about this one is it's another infinity

scarf I love infinity scarf and I think it's super pretty in these colors

so this one's kind of a two-pole book so the first look we're going to do with

this scarf is we're gonna come around and then take one end and loop it over

again so it's gonna have kind of a neck choker look kind of like the white one I

call it the French neck choker but instead of having two talents it's gonna

have this nice long look so hopefully you can see this on the camera here by

just talk has a longer look and it has the infinity scarf which makes extra fun

now this last little but I'm gonna show here is a great idea with any scarf make

a matching hat so this is kind of look ten and a half I suppose if you're

having one of those days where it's either just a bad hair day or you want

to stay nice and warm and cozy or even with all these two looks you can't get

your start to look right or okay let's be honest here it's winter it's cold

sometimes it's too cold to shower right so you might have like not so great

looking hair anyways whatever your reason ad hat is always a great way to

accessorize with the scarf because it makes a more complicated looking outfit

without being overbearing so with this hat I like to fold the brim over I've

got a nice little cute flower on here play around I've got the little flower

here you know pull my hair out in the front can always you know leave your

hair down you know pull it in front like that curl it back here keep my hair down

in the front kind of bangs out on mouth so I don't look like I'm bald but it's a

really cute way to just add a little bit of extra flare to your outfit pair it

with a scarf of course you know it's really easy to match because hen you

just use the same yarn this hat again nothing fancy this is like the most

basic hat you can I've got a patent for that up in my blog

so definitely go check that out but it's a really simple way to create a very

cute look with your crocheted I don't so there you have it there are 10 ways to

The Best Horror Movie Endings Of The 20th Century - Duration: 11:10.

Horror movies are always at their best when the third act goes a little off the rails.

Thriller endings are supposed to leave us feeling either satisfied or completely unsatisfied,

and nowhere in between.

So, when a scary movie actually delivers that grand finale that ties all its terror tricks

together, it can be pretty unforgettable.

Let's take a look back at some of those horror flicks that really stuck the landing before

the turn of the millennium.

And, it should go without saying, spoilers for these old movies lay ahead...

The Omen Directed by Richard Donner, The Omen features

one of the most iconic villains of all time: Damien Thorn, a pint-sized Antichrist destined

to rule the world.

Adopted by an American ambassador, Damien is indoctrinated by his satanic nanny.

Soon, the body count starts stacking up.

After realizing his adopted kid is actually the son of Satan, Daddy Thorn takes Damien

to a church and plans to go full-bore biblical on him.

We're talking Abraham and Isaac.

"No, Daddy, no!"

"God help me."

However, before he can finish the dastardly deed, the cops show up and open fire.

After the gunsmoke clears, we cut to a funeral.

But unfortunately for mankind, Damien is alive and well — it's Thorn who's six feet under.

And in a satanic twist of fate, Damien has been adopted by Thorn's old buddy — the

President of the United States.

Damien looks directly at the camera and gives an eerie smile that'd easily prevent anyone

watching from ever wanting kids.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers In Philip Kaufman's Invasion of the Body Snatchers

remake, Donald Sutherland plays a San Francisco health inspector named Matthew Bennell who's

drawn into a bizarre conspiracy involving an evil alien race.

These extraterrestrials are creating doppelgängers of every human on Earth, and their plan is

to absorb victims while they sleep and create emotionless doubles using plant-like pods.

The process is horrifying.

Naturally, this doesn't sit well with Bennell and his small group of survivors, who desperately

try to stay awake to avoid having their bodies snatched.

The group also discovers they can fool the aliens by acting cool and detached.

But if they show an ounce of emotion, the pod people emit a high-pitched scream to alert

their fellow aliens.

It sounds like this:

(shrieking)

Bennell does his best to prevent the bad guys from spreading their pods across the world,

but there's no stopping the invasion.

At the end of the film, it appears that Bennell is hiding from the bad guys in plain sight,

surviving by impersonating the pod people.

But as he leaves his office one day, he runs into an old friend who's still human...and

that's when this happens:

(shrieking)

Friday the 13th The horror genre is full of last-minute gotcha

moments, from the graveyard dream in Carrie to the return of Freddy in A Nightmare on

Elm Street.

But as good as those are, Friday the 13th's finish stands decapitated head and shoulders

above the rest.

This slasher classic follows a bunch of teenage counselors fooling around at a summer camp

when a mysterious maniac turns up, slashing folks with every sharp instrument known to

man.

Eventually, the culprit is revealed to be an angry Mrs. Voorhees, a former camp cook

who wants revenge against all counselors for letting her deformed son drown in Crystal

Lake decades ago.

Luckily, final girl Alice neck-chops Mrs. Voorhees and escapes the camp by climbing

into a canoe and sailing onto the lake.

She falls asleep before reaching the shore, and when she wakes up, it's a beautiful day,

the cops have arrived, and it seems like she's finally safe.

And that's when a waterlogged Jason jumps out of the lake and pulls Alice down with

him.

Alice later wakes up in a hospital, with no sign of Jason anywhere.

But she's not convinced he was some figment of her fatigued imagination.

"Then he's still there."

No one believed her then — but the dozen films to follow certainly proved she was right

about that.

The Thing Directed by John Carpenter, The Thing is a

brutally cynical sci-fi film that follows a group of American scientists trapped inside

an Antarctic research station.

They're being hunted by a shapeshifting alien that absorbs its victims and creates identical

copies, so in addition to battling this otherworldly beast, our heroes are also dealing with a

serious case of paranoia.

By the film's last act, the titular thing has slain almost everyone in the camp, with

the exception of MacReady, a bearded helicopter pilot who blows the creature to kingdom come.

Unfortunately, he sets the entire base on fire in the process.

As he sits alone in the wreckage, that's when Childs, MacReady's old frenemy steps in.

The guy vanished during the climactic showdown with the thing, and now MacReady isn't sure

if Childs is human anymore.

The two are in a standoff, and as the cold sets in, they share a bottle of whiskey and

wait for someone — or something — to make the next move, leaving us to wonder if our

heroes will make it out alive…or if they're even heroes anymore.

"If we've got any surprises for each other, I don't think we're in much shape to do anything

about it."

If you're gonna punctuate a pic with a question mark, this is how it's done.

Don't Look Now After their daughter tragically drowns at

their English estate, John and Laura Baxter find themselves trapped in a spiral of grief.

Devastated, they move to Venice, where they encounter two creepy sisters who claim they

can see the little girl's spirit.

Laura believes the psychic siblings, but John is skeptical.

Nevertheless, he does notice that something weird is going on.

There's a mysterious little figure running around town, wearing the same red coat his

daughter had on when she drowned.

There are also rumors of a serial slayer in the area.

Stranger still, after his wife returns to England on an emergency visit, John inexplicably

spots her riding a funeral boat down a Venetian canal.

John's unease grows, until he spots the girl in red one last time.

Hoping that maybe it's the ghost of his daughter, he follows the cloaked figure...only to realize

it's actually a monstrous dwarf armed with a meat cleaver!

This is who's been dropping victims in the Grand Canal.

She plants her knife right into John's neck, and as his body violently convulses, John

realizes the vision of his wife on a funeral boat was actually a premonition of his own

demise.

But there's nothing he can about it as he bleeds out on the floor — a victim of grief,

guilt, and one ugly monster.

Talk about a tragic twist.

In the Mouth of Madness Equal parts H.P.

Lovecraft and Stephen King, In the Mouth of Madness will make you feel like you're losing

your mind.

In it, John Trent is an insurance investigator hired by a publishing company to track down

bestselling author Sutter Cane.

The writer has mysteriously vanished, taking his new novel with him.

But as Trent digs deeper into the case, he learns that Cane is no average author.

See, Cane has millions of loyal followers around the world who worship his novels...which

gives him the power to bring his characters to life.

Worse still, Cane's new book will drive people mad and turn them into monsters.

It's all part of his scheme to destroy the human race and subject humanity to the rule

of ancient gods.

But before Cane can accomplish his plan, he wants Trent to deliver his now-finished manuscript

to his publisher… and Trent has to obey because he's actually one of Cane's characters.

Obviously, Trent refuses to believe he was dreamed up for some book.

But soon enough, Cane's novel has turned the world into a mutated madhouse.

With society crumbling around him and his mind slowly slipping, Trent winds up in a

movie theater and watches the film adaptation of Cane's book.

As it turns out, Trent is the main character and everything that's just happened to him

is playing on the big screen.

Realizing his life is a Sutter Cane creation, Trent snaps, laughing hysterically before

weeping uncontrollably.

But hey!

At least he has the entire theater to himself.

The Blair Witch Project Nearly 20 years later, it's easy to forget

how big a deal The Blair Witch Project was when it first debuted in 1999.

It revolutionized viral marketing, introduced the found footage fad to the mainstream, and

totally messed people up with its incredibly freaky ending.

After heading into the woods to make a documentary about the local legend of the Blair Witch,

three college students — Heather, Mike, and Josh — find themselves completely lost

and wandering in circles.

"I gave you the map!"

"I gave you back the map!"

They soon discover spooky stick figures hanging from branches, hear creepy kids giggling at

night, and then Josh mysteriously disappears, leaving only a few teeth and a piece of his

tongue behind.

Soon after, Mike and Heather hear him screaming in the distance, and they follow the sound

to an abandoned house.

Camera in hand, Heather makes her way into the basement and finds her friend standing

in a corner…which is how a child slayer of local legend would position his victims.

That's when someone — or something — attacks her from behind and the camera falls to the

ground, still recording for several seconds before it stops.

Psycho It's a bit of a shock in Psycho when the main

character, Marion Crane, is suddenly and violently dispatched in the middle of the film.

But things take an even crazier turn when it's revealed that the culprit is hotel manager

Norman Bates in drag.

Having offed his own mother years ago, the disturbed motel clerk suffers from a split

personality that causes him to act like his evil mom and stab unsuspecting victims as

they shower.

"We all go a little mad sometimes."

Norman is eventually captured and tossed into a cell, where he completely transforms into

his domineering mother.

Huddled beneath a blanket with his mom's voice running through his head, Norman looks at

the audience and gives a chilling grin, as Mrs. Bates' skull flashes over his face, proving

that there is no more Norman — only Mom.

We then cut back to the Bates Motel, where the cops are towing Marion's car out of a

swamp, leaving the viewer to wonder how many more cars will be found down there.

Night of the Living Dead This seminal zombie film has a simple plot:

one fateful day, corpses rise up from the ground — and boy, are they hungry.

Soon, a small band of survivors find themselves trapped inside an old farmhouse, desperately

fighting the zombie horde, not to mention their own growing fears and rivalries.

Eventually, there's only one survivor left, a black man named Ben, who wakes up the next

morning after hearing a volley of gunshots in the distance.

Cautious but hopeful, Ben peers out the window, spotting an all-white posse outside.

Suddenly, the gun-toting group sees Ben, and assuming he's a zombie, a gunman puts a bullet

in his head.

Having survived an assault by an army of flesh-hungry fiends, our hero is ultimately defeated by

the very people who were supposed to keep him safe.

"Okay, he's dead.

Let's go get him.

That's another one for the fire."

There are a lot of social and political undertones that can be drawn from the ending.

But the film lets the scene speak for itself — a stroke of brilliance on director George

A. Romero's part.

The Sixth Sense In the movie that put M. Night Shyamalan on

the map, we meet child psychologist Malcolm Crowe, who has some unfinished business to

attend to.

Years after failing to help a young patient suffering from hallucinations, he gets a shot

at redemption in the form of nine-year-old Cole Sear.

And folks, Cole has a heck of a problem: "I see dead people."

Cole reveals that the people he sees don't know they aren't alive.

And while the doctor is skeptical at first, he quickly learns the boy really does possess,

well, a sixth sense.

Realizing the spirits might need help, Crowe encourages Cole to communicate with the ghosts

and come to terms with his gift.

Meanwhile, Crowe has grown distant from his wife, and at the end of the movie, he sits

beside his sleeping bride — which is when the director's famous knack for twists kicks

in.

In her sleep, Crowe's wife asks why he left her and then drops something on the floor.

It's Crowe's wedding ring…the one he thought he was wearing during the whole film.

Suddenly Crowe remembers that a disgruntled patient — the one he'd failed so long ago

— actually ended his life before doing the same to himself.

Crowe's been a ghost all along, and the clues were everywhere.

It doesn't get much better than that.

First-Year Success Center at Arizona State University (ASU) - Duration: 3:11.

I, my freshman year, was very driven,

and I was like "I don't need coaching.

I'm fine," but my coach called me,

and I was like, "Okay, fine, I'll make an

appointment." and I went, and I

was really happy I did so.

The First-Year Success Center and

coaching have just opened up so

many opportunities for me, and

I've met so many wonderful people,

both the students and the staff.

The right person

at the right time

can change a life.

Here at the First-Year Success Center,

we offer a peer coaching model.

So that means that you have upper

division students, juniors, seniors,

even graduate students who have

done exceptionally well at the university

both inside and outside the classroom. So

these students are what we would call rockstars,

and what these students do when you come

to an appointment is they first meet with

you for that initial appointment to

get to know you, to share some interests,

some hobbies, and figure out what it is that

you want to achieve here at ASU.

First semester it was difficult because it

was just go to school, go to the library,

go home, and I just repeated that.

Second semester I actually went to go

talk to my First-Year Success coach

about how to get more involved on

campus because grades were fine,

but I didn't have a, I didn't know

how to join clubs, I didn't know how

to socialize, how to get to know people.

When I came in for coaching, I definitely

needed that help. My schedule was packed,

so my coach sat down and said "Okay,

we need to figure this out."

Coaching really is about a relationship,

and it is about a relationship that

accelerates people's success.

It's someone who is there to help you

and support you. Answer any questions.

Be another resource here on campus.

And here the coaching model is holistic.

Goals can be about their academic GPA

and their grades. It could be around their major.

It could be around some personal goals.

It could be goals about getting involved.

I got into two clubs by the beginning of

sophomore year. From there everything

just took off. I started networking, and

I started to meet people.

I learned that time management is key.

You need a balance between your

social life and your academics.

If you look at celebrities, if you look at

corporate leaders, if you look at athletes,

they all employ coaches.

Someone who is further along then they are

who has specific knowledge about

succeeding in where they want to go.

Getting just a fresh perspective

I think really, really helps put a new

lens on it. You know you get your new

idea of what university life is going to be

as apart from just coming in blind.

The benefits of coaching far exceeds that of

the undergraduate experience.

Coaching is great for anybody and everybody.

Through our coaching they are able to build

on their plans and build on their goals

and dreams, which is fabulous to see.

I think it's definitely helped me to be not afraid

to seek out and ask for help.

We want you to come in here with a set

of dreams, and we want to challenge you

to dream even bigger than that.

I want to be able to be that person for

someone else. I want to be able to mentor

students that are coming in and let them

know, you know, first of all it's going to be

okay. You are going to make it through,

and that, you know, no matter what that we're

here for them, and I think that's a really cool idea.

hey guys I'm back I've cleaned up but now we really need to hurry up and go

upstairs into the Attic, see if we can find any Christmas decorations because

we're running out of time, so let's go up the ladder and hopefully we'll find

something up here. Oh no, cobwebs! I hate cobwebs, I hate spiders...

let's get rid of these, well there's the door

okay, let's go- got my axe just in case.. oh

my goodness, more cobwebs, more cobwebs... there's a chest! Let's see.. oh my goodness

trees, lights, Christmas decorations- oh thank goodness! Let's get some of this

stuff downstairs and get out of here as soon as we can because I do not want to

hang around in the Attic it's scary, it's full of musty-smelling cobwebs and

weird noises happening... wreaths.. Mistletoe... let's go

What's that noise [sinister music]...No I'm gonna die! Let's get out of

let's go.. Argh, it's a push door, I pulled it!

let's get down this ladder.. bit tricky with a tree...ok we're down.

Close that, I do not want any more spiders coming out. Right, let's get decorating before we run

out of time, because I think this evening is when the villagers are gonna come so

we need to put the tree up first... right, ok, tree in this corner, yep the lights

..green and red... and the star on the top. It's gonna look beautiful in here! Thank

goodness Glitch had some decorations in the attic.

Brilliant, its lights up- these are the rainbow lights

I like these a lot, it's so pretty... and then we just need to put some stockings

above the fireplace- watch my magic trick.. three, two, one..

Look at that! so Christmassy! Right you lot, I think I'm gonna need your help

Let's get some tunes on and get this done fast. Ready [upbeat music]

Okay guys, that was fun! Whoo! We're finished- check it out! Now I need to

run upstairs quickly so I can put all this stuff away before the guests arrive- let's go

back to that horrible horrible attic, come on. Right that's all away, let's get out

of here, no more spiders, let's close this door, we don't want any

spiders or angry mobs coming down the ladder, let's get back downstairs
