Welcome to this episode of Aussie English.
Today we're going to learn how to pronounce the different week days in an Australian accent.
Let's go.
Monday.
Tuesday.
Wednesday.
Thursday.
Friday.
Saturday.
Sunday.
Monday.

Sunday.
And so, in Australian English too you'll often hear people say "Saturday", they'll reduce
it down to just "Satday", "Satday".
So, instead of having one day of the week that has three syllables, "Sat-ur-day", every
single day of the week has two syllables.
Mon-day, Tues-day, Wednes-day, Thurs-day, Fri-day, Sat-day, Sun-day.
So, you'll often hear it said like that.
Satday.
And also, in Australian English you might hear from time to time people say the word
"Day" like "Dee".
So, they might say, "Mondee, Tuesdee, Wensdee, Thursdee, Fridee, Satdee, Sundee".
So, that's just one extra thing to remember.

I CAN UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE WOULD GET REALLY HEATED
ABOUT IT.
MY HYPOTHESIS ON THAT IS I THINK PEOPLE ARE MOBILIZED
AND THEY WANT TO BE POLITICALLY ACTIVE SO THEY ARE MEETING
INDIVIDUALS WHO MIGHT HAVE THE
SAME CONCERNS THEY DO.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS MAKE OF ALL OF THIS AND HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED
IT?

EVERYTHING I BELIEVE.
AT FIRST I WOULD ENGAGE IN I WOULD GET
HEATED.
IT STARTED TO CHANGE MY VIEW OF THESE PEOPLE.
THEN I
REALIZED I CAN'T DO THIS.
I KNOW THAT OVERALL THEY ARE GOOD, AND
THEY MIGHT BE MISINFORMED AND THAT IS FINE.
SO I HID THEM FROM
MY WALL, I NEVER SEE THEIR POSTS ANYMORE.
AND I ACTUALLY WENT OUT
OF MY WAY TO MAKE SURE MY
POLITICAL POSTS ARE NOT VIEWABLE BY THEM.
I THINK THAT IS A GOOD WAY TO DO IT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ENGAGE

CITIZENS ABROAD AND KILLING THEM WITH DRONE STRIKES WITHOUT
GIVING THEM A TRIAL.
AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE ENTITLED TO A
TRIAL, EVEN IF YOU SUSPECT THEY MIGHT BE TERRORISTS.
THEN YOU GO
AHEAD AND KILL AN AMERICAN-BORN 16-YEAR-OLD IN YEMEN WITH A
DRONE STRIKE AGAIN.
THOSE THINGS OF COURSE WE CRITICIZE, AND I
THINK THAT IS FAIR.
WITH THAT BEING SAID, I THINK THERE ARE
SOME INSTANCES WHERE DONALD
TRUMP CROSSES THE LINE AND ONE OF THE ISSUES OF CONFLICT OF
INTEREST.
THEY ARE PLAYING A HUGE ROLE IN POLICY DECISIONS.
THAT KIND OF STUFF I DON'T THINK
WE OVERREACT ABOUT.
>>WITH DONALD TRUMP WE ARE NOT NECESSARILY OVERREACTING, BUT IN
ORDER TO GET PEOPLE TO
UNDERSTAND YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE A HUMAN COMPONENT INSTEAD OF

YOU NEED TO TALK TO THEM AND ADDRESS THESE ISSUES.

EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON YOUR FACEBOOK FEED OR
YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA IS CURATED FOR YOU.
IT IS AN ECHO CHAMBER, SO
YOU'RE CONSTANTLY SEEING THINGS YOU AGREE WITH.
AND THERE ARE
CERTAIN ASPECTS THAT YOU NEED TO SEE FROM THE OTHER SIDE'S
PERSPECTIVE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO EDUCATE THEM ON THOSE
MATTERS.

THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF PEOPLE
WHO WILL DISAGREE.
THERE ARE THOSE WHO DISAGREE IN A
CONSTRUCTIVE WAY AND THEY

I KNOW IT MIGHT SEEM
THAT I ONLY EXPOSE MYSELF TO PEOPLE THAT AGREE WITH ME, BUT
THAT IS NOT TRUE.
I HAVE CHANGE MY OPINIONS ON ISSUES.

DOUBLE CRITICALLY ABOUT MINIMUM
WAGE.
I STILL THINK MINIMUM WAGE SHOULD BE $15 AN HOUR, BUT I
HAVE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SMALL
BUSINESS OWNERS.
THAT MADE ME RETHINK MY IDEA AND CONSIDER

Travis County Replacement Fund UPDATE 02 - Duration: 2:41.
Hello, Travis County!
This is Tom Cantrell and this is another Travis County Replacement Fund update.
Did you ever hear something over and over again and it just didn't seem right?
That's the way it was when I heard Greg Abbott say that Sally Hernandez was not complying
with the law.
I thought to myself, "If she's not complying with the law, how come she hasn't been arrested
by the DPS or the Texas Rangers?"
So, I looked into it and this is what I found.
"We're going to pass a ban in the state of Texas that will put real teeth in this compelling
local officials to apply the law of the United States of America."
Governor Greg Abbott has chosen to misrepresent the law and denigrate Sheriff Sally Hernandez
for upholding it.
As a lawyer, he may have violated his oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States.
Here's why:
In October of 2013, The UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE THIRD CIRCUIT held that
ICE Detainers are merely non-binding requests, not orders, and that a County could be held
liable for its policy of detaining people on that basis.
Not only did the Court hold that the defendants violated the plaintiff's Fourth Amendment
right against unreasonable searches and seizures without probable cause and due process under
the Fourteenth Amendment.
The court was also clear about the limits of the federal government.
"Under the Tenth Amendment, immigration officials may not order state and local officials to
imprison suspected aliens subject to removal at the request of the federal
government.
Essentially, the federal government cannot command the government agencies of the states
to imprison persons of interest to federal officials."
Let's be clear about this.

This time I will be doing Wondershare Filmora; which is the best video editor I've ever had.
Many people like it and I do too.
I use it in some of my videos.
And I'll just get straight into this without paying a cent and not downloading anything
else; except Wondershare Filmora itself.
So lets get started.
You start the application.
this is for the newest version that came out in 2017, it just came out.
You go on full feature mode and click on register.
I'll give you two codes that will be in the description below.
You just copy and paste it.
You can do either one, it does not matter.
Alright, register.
And don't get sad.
Just because it says that it is banned and that it is failed, it does not mean anything.
You go to task manager.
And in this case, since I have Windows 10, you go to details, you have to look for something
called WSHelper.exe.
And, what you'll need to do is open the file location, alright, now just minimize that.
And, end task, like, stop WSHelper.exe.
Yes, end process, it does not matter. (It will not harm your PC. Do not worry)
Forget the warning or whatever it says, I didn't even read it.
Alright.
Now you're like OK it does not matter, Alright, you just leave this.
And now that you just stopped it for now.
Now you go here, and delete WSHelper.exe.
Make sure that you just go here and delete it, forever and ever :D.
You start Wondershare and again.
And you'll do the same thing I did when I started . Full Feature mode.
Copy this, go to register (NOT TO PURCHASE!).
Go to register and paste this.
And then you will be happy because this will happen....
(TAH DAH!!).
You're registered, you don't have to turn off anything, because the internet IS on.
It's all good.
It's all you need to do, You don't need to download anything, that's all.
You won't have any watermark on the video, you now have the full version of this.

Making Challah Bread - Duration: 7:09.
OK, So when I make bread I use my bread machine.
I LOVE my bread machine for making the dough.
I do not like cooking my bread in the bread machine.
But mixing up the dough it works out really nice.
So.
Here is what we got.
I have got 2/3 cup goat milk.
I have 2 eggs from my ducks and my chickens.
I have 3 tablespoons of butter.
I am using organic coconut sugar today because it is what I have.
But I am also a big fan of using honey, molasses, white sugar.
You know it does not really matter.
I use a half cup of that but you a quarter cup iffin you don't want it as sweet.
Then 3 cubs of bread flour.
Then I have I put in between 1 and a half and 2 teaspoons of salt.
I am using kosher salt here.
And then 2 teaspoons of bread yeast.
I like to try to put a hole in the middle.
My grandma taught me to do that.
Put a hole in the middle of your flour to put your yeast
down into.
Alright.
Then I put it in my bread machine on the dough cycle which usually takes about an hour and
a half for it to kneed and rise.
Before I pull it out to do the second rise in my Pullman Pan.
Alright, so.
The bread machine has been working on the dough for and hour and a half
So now I can work some of the bubbles out of the dough if there are any.
And then shape it fit into my Pullman pan.
Now I have already greased the pan and the lid to the pan. and so once it rises for about
an hour then I will stick it in the oven.
Trying to make sure it gets in the corners so that I can have a nice square loaf.
There we go.
Now I will set it someplace warm so it can rise for an hour.
Ok, so I pulled the bread out of the oven.
It was 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
It is still a little cold in the house so it did not rise as well as I would have liked.
But, I think it looks pretty good.
Now, I don't have the best bread knife so I have to wait for this to cool down all of
the way before cutting it.
Otherwise my knife just rips it apart.
Ok the bread has completely cooled.
And i have it in my bread cutter here.
I am just using a basic knife to cut it.
Because I do not have a better knife.
There we go.
Nice piece of sandwich bread.
So that is how we do it.
And My kids really like the Challah bread.
We also like to make buns out of the bread.
But I will show you how to do that in a different video.
Or how I do it in a different video.

Today we're going to learn how to pronounce the different week days in an Australian accent.

And so, in Australian English too you'll often hear people say "Saturday", they'll reduce
it down to just "Satday", "Satday".
So, instead of having one day of the week that has three syllables, "Sat-ur-day", every
single day of the week has two syllables.
Mon-day, Tues-day, Wednes-day, Thurs-day, Fri-day, Sat-day, Sun-day.
So, you'll often hear it said like that.
Satday.
And also, in Australian English you might hear from time to time people say the word
"Day" like "Dee".
So, they might say, "Mondee, Tuesdee, Wensdee, Thursdee, Fridee, Satdee, Sundee".
So, that's just one extra thing to remember.

G'day guys.
In this episode we're going to learn how to pronounce the months with an Australian accent.
Let's go!
January.
February.
March.

November.
December.
So, for a few notes there, guys, even though though "January" is usually "properly" said
with an extra syllable, Australian's often just say, "Jan-u-ree".
"Jan-u-ree".
"Jan-u-ree".
And it's the same with "February".
That's too hard to say.
So, we often just shorten it to, "Feb-u-ree", "Feb-u-ree".
"Feb-u-ree".
The rest of the months are pretty straightforward.
They're just said as they're spelt.
The only thing to note is that any of the months that end in "-ER", in an Australian
accent we say, "AH" instead of "ER", like an American accent.
So, we would say, "Septembah", "Octobah", "Novembah", "Decembah".
And one last little note, every now and then you're going to hear people refer to January
and February as just "Jan" or "Feb", "Jan" or "Feb".
The rest of the months are always left as the full word, however, "Jan" and "Feb" are
often contracted down to that first syllable.

Will Jake manage to keep his French?
For the answer…
We turn to math.
So our friend Jake has:
- an English speaking mother that never learned French
- a French speaking father that only uses English
- a few classes in French
(as opposed to "French classes")
- in an English speaking school where virtually no one speaks French.
Add to that:
the fact that Jake will spend less time with ME and his other French speaking friends.
