and i thought was cute and easy to do it

and quickly to do it

for those days when you don't have time

because you have to work etc.etc

let's start the first thing i'm going to do is

is apply this thing

that is baby powder

that will help me to absorb the scalp grease

because i don't wash my hair everyday

just 2 or 3 times per week

so this a amazing beauty hack

to absorb the grease of the hair

so now let's start

applying baby powder

moving hands

and shake your hair for the baby powder to fall out

look how the hair is without grease

brushing hair

dividing the hair in half

let's start taking one piece of hair from each side

and now put together

doing one piece

now take again

one piece of hair and pass under to the other side

and don't let go

now the other side

take a piece of hair and pass under to the other side

and now let's start doing like if you were doing a dutch braid

the second round take the hair pass under to the other side

and repeat the same processes

smiling

now we are ready

ha ha ha i'm joking

now pass the braid to the back

be careful to not destroy the braid

ha ha ha

now we are done

but i'm going to take out some piece of hair

A technique to help our children feel their own Super Powers!

As the parents bringing forth and raising the children that will be living on and helping

create the New Earth, we are the �ground crew� so to speak.

We are here to help them recognize their full potential and remind them of what they are

capable of.

My oldest son went through a several year phase in his life where he was literally obsessed

with super heroes.

Batman, Captain America, Superman, you name it, he went through them all.

Having a vivid imagination, he could lose himself in fantasies for hours.

But one thing that I noticed was with the end of almost every game would come the hopeless

sigh, �I wish I could be like that.�

Because that�s how all of the super hero stories are set up.

There�s usually only one super-hero per story line and they are usually the result

of some freak accident or are just lucky enough to be born that way (or rich enough to buy

the cool suits).

The rest of the population is helpless and always requires saving from the powerful super

villain who plans on killing everyone and destroying the planet.

It used to annoy me how disempowered these stories would leave him feeling after the

excitement of playing the game had worn off.

I�m all for kids playing and using their imaginations, but I don�t support this helpless

human image that Hollywood creates.

Luke Skywalker and the �Jedi way� are a refreshing break from the over-stimulating,

buildings blowing-up, people in peril that consumes all other super hero movies these

days.

How refreshing that Star Wars brought out the idea that �the force� is within all

of us, all of life is in balance, and we cannot give in to anger and �the dark side,�

because �the light� is stronger always wins.

As someone trained in Reiki, I am comfortable with energy work and feeling the pulse of

the Universe flowing through my hands.

I have taught my children to feel this energy within their hands as well.

I am fascinated how easily this all happens for our children, and how fine-tuned it is

for them.

Where as adults we go through training and attunements, for our children it is right

there and at full frequency!

-This technique is simply reminding your child of what it already within them, waiting to

be expressed.

-I teach my children to �ground� their energies daily, and it is a good idea to make

sure to ground before trying this as well.

Simply have them imagine themselves as a tree, sending their roots down deep into the centre,

the heart of Mother Earth.

This is a loving, peaceful place and provides calm.

How to Build an Energy Ball

Try it with them�

Each of you can hold your hands together.

Now imagine a ball of energy forming between your palms.

You can close your eyes or keep them open, whatever you are comfortable with.

You will both start to feel your energy ball forming.

It might feel like a pulsing between your palms, or heat, or like little, tiny shocks.

Or something else entirely.

There are no wrong answers, as it is unique to each individual.

Some people will feel tingling in their fingers too, or even in their feet, as energy is flowing

all through you.

Now picture it.

What does it look like to you?

Share with your child.

Ask them.

Tell them that this ball is made of the love of the Universe, and it can do magical things.

It can make them feel calm when they are worried, or take away pain when they are hurt.

It can make them happy when they are sad.

Once you have both felt it and or seen your energy ball, slowly pull your palms apart,

just a little at first.

You want to still feel your energy ball there.

Once you are comfortable with it, you can play with it.

For some, it feels like taffy that keeps pulling their hands back together.

Others are aware of the pulsing.

It�s different for everyone, so have fun with it!

They can pass it from hand to hand, shrink it down, or grow it until it surrounds them.

After they have felt their energy ball, you can tell them that they can place it wherever

they like on their body, or they can send it to someone that�s far away, or they can

give it to you.

My kids use this technique when they are anxious or scared.

They will also place their energy ball on headaches, or on their tummies when they are

upset.

They will also help one another.

I have found that they have much more success healing themselves than if I do it for them.

This is also a great way for kids to protect and clear themselves from lower vibration

energies.

Just have them grow their energy ball and surround themselves in it.

They will feel strong and safe.

My children like to share their energy ball with their pets, send it to family members

that they are lonesome for, as well as offer it to Mother Earth to help her heal-and especially

endangered animals.

It is a beautiful, effective way for them to feel how powerful they are.

Suddenly, the world is magical, and it�s because of them!

The first time my son felt his energy ball glowing and pulsing in his hands, he exclaimed,

�mom!

I feel it!

I really feel it!

I�m magical!�

Children love this technique because it�s so tangible, so physical.

They can feel it, and if they are visual, they can see it.

But even if they can�t see or feel it clearly, they will sense it.

My son has since gotten over his super hero phase, and I have to say, I�m glad.

A new earth and the upliftment of humanity is happening through all of us recognizing

the power and the love that flows through us, as empowered, multi-dimensional beings.

Not helpless, waiting on someone to save us, humans.

Hello, I'm Ivan and this is my channel Dovahqueer.

And today I'm here to talk to you about what I'm currently reading.

I have not read that much ever since I took a hiatus.

This year I haven't finished a book at all.

And I've been trying to read a lot of books.

And since I'm a mood reader, when I don't feel like reading I'll just put the book down

and just never really pick it up again...

I've been trying to do better with that, but right now I'm currently in the middle of two books

One of which I did put down and want to pick back up

because it was one that I was really enjoying and one I really want to finish.

And that one is Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho

This is about Zacharias, who is the Sorcerer Royal

meaning that he serves the country of England for better or for worse.

And he's trying to figure out the answer as to why

England's magic supply is depleting.

Along the way he is joined by the company of Prunella

who is a woman who also has the capability to use magic.

Which is highly frowned upon in their society

because, according to them,

women's bodies are "too fragile" to handle the great power of magic.

This book commentates a lot of racism and sexism.

Zacharias, he is a black man.

And because he is a black man in a white society,

a lot of people blame him and his appointment of Sorcerer Royal

as to why magic is lacking.

Honestly they just kind of blame him for all of their problems.

They don't even think his appointment of Sorcerer Royal is legitimate.

Basically: men don't like him and women fetishize him

because he's so ~dark and mysterious~.

Meanwhile, Prunella faces the hard reality of

women aren't allowed to use magic.

And if they do they're considered witches.

Unless, you know, they use their powers to help benefit men.

I only left off at about 140 pages in.

So I'm not even halfway yet.

I really was enjoying it, and I know that's what everyone says when they put down books.

But for me, I really was and it is a book I keep glancing back to when I'm looking at my bookshelves.

So, I'm hoping really soon that I do pick it back up

But first, I want to finish the book that I've appointed most of my time to

and that is The Careful Undressing of Love by Corey Ann Haydu.

This is about a group of girls who live on Devonairre Street in New York

And amongst the women there is a curse that any body they love is going to die.

The group of girls that it follows, at first they don't really believe in this curse.

And then Delilah's boyfriend, Jack, dies.

And their lives are all shook and through grieving

they start to doubt as to whether or not this curse exists.

They're trying to hold onto the friendships that they've had before,

but they don't know how to help one another within this grief.

If there's one thing Corey Ann Haydu knows how to write about really well, that is grief.

She is really good at portraying different ways people cope with grief.

She is the author of one of my all time favorite books

and that is Rules for Stealing Stars.

Which is a middle grade novel about this group of sisters

who escape from their abusive mother through magical closets

Where those closets then become their coping mechanism

which quickly turns into a toxic coping mechanism.

I'm about two-thirds of the way through the book right now.

I have about 100 pages left.

There is so much about this book that I want to mention

but I'm still trying to process it.

All of the girls in this story are incredibly feminist.

The girls are all different but they're also supportive of one another.

Whether or not they want to fall in love, or if they don't want to fall in love,

and if their future goals are different, if they're still on Devonairre Street, or if they're not

they're all supportive of one another.

This book is also incredibly sex positive.

Because the girls aren't allowed to fall in love that doesn't really stop them from having sex.

And that is something that is portrayed as a-okay.

It's mentioned that is okay if you just want love, or if you just want sex, or if you want both.

because that is entirely up to you. That option is entirely up to you and it's an incredibly valid option.

There's also a passage that's just -- I don't think I can even explain it.

So I'm going to read it because it's. That. Good.

"We live in a world where it's better to fuck a hundred boys you don't love

than kiss one boy you do. It's all topsy-turvy, and I want Isla to have both.

I want her to wear her short skirts and tight tops because she likes them,

not because she's trying to be Someone Else.

I want her to show her clavicle when she's in the mood and to cover up her knees

when it's cold or she's forgotten to shave and for no other reason.

I don't want gross men and mean girls to look at her and talk about her beauty

like it's something exciting and terrible.

Like she's desirable and Cursed in some magnificent way."

I just *sighs*

That book is one of those books where it just knocks the air out of my lungs

and makes my cold, unfeeling heart grow three sizes bigger.

It's just filled with a lot of things I like: interesting women, friendship dynamics, and feminism.

Those are really the only two books I've been paying attention to.

I have started a third readthrough of The Fifth Season by N. K. Jemisin.

I first read it at the beginning of 2016 and then I read it later in the summer of 2016

right before The Obelisk Gate was released.

And whenever I wanted to read, but I didn't want to start something new

I just started reading The Fifth Season again.

I'm probably going to read it again once it gets closer to the release of The Stone Sky.

Because I want to read The Fifth Season, The Obelisk Gate, and then The Stone Sky

all in a row. I'm very excited for the end of that trilogy.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is renewing a push for Congress to pass legislation that would

revoke the citizenship of any American who tries to join the Islamic State or other terrorist

groups.

Cruz thinks that banning people from terrorist-stricken countries from entering the U.S. only deals

with half of the problem, and that the federal government also needs to worry about U.S.

citizens who may try the same thing.

"If an American citizen travels abroad and joins a terrorist group waging jihad on America,

attempting to murder innocent Americans, this legislation would strip that individual of

their U.S. citizenship, so that we would not have terrorists returning to America using

U.S. passports," Cruz told the Washington Examiner.

Hundreds of Americans have tried to join the Islamic State in recent years, according to

Cruz.

He said another 124 U.S. citizens or green card holders have traveled overseas to join

other jihadist groups in the years since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

"This should be an idea that even Senate Democrats can support given that Hillary Clinton, when

she was in the Senate, supported very similar legislation," he said.

Previous iterations of the bill have drawn opposition from some civil libertarians, who

worry it would give the federal government expanded powers to revoke citizenship without

due process.

Under Cruz's bill, anyone who lost their citizenship over alleged terrorist ties would have 60

days to request a due process hearing to challenge the decision.

"The awesome and horrible power of being able to take away the citizenship of an American

citizen would be turned over to an unnamed bureaucrat," Christopher Anders, senior legislative

counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union's Washington legislative office, told USA Today

last year.

"It's a highly unconstitutional bill.

If it were to become law, I'm sure the Supreme Court would not let it stand."

Cruz's team maintains that's unfair, because his bill � which is being introduced in

the House by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa � uses the same process to revoke citizenship from

terrorists that the government has used since 1926 to revoke citizenship from Americans

who join foreign armies at war with the United States.

"This legislation is a common sense step to recognize that people can [wage] war against

America in more ways than one," he said.

"You don't need to be a member of a nation-state military to be a terrorist at war with America."

Trump's presence in the Oval Office could increase the odds that the legislation passes

this Congress.

Additionally, a former Cruz staffer, Victoria Coates, now works for the White House National

Security Council.
