Well, in relation specifically to the BBC, there's been quite a lot of public debate,
previously and at the moment, with regard to how much funding goes into English-language
drama here in Wales.
Previously, there have been calls to increase the funding, and so, again, we've reiterated
our recommendation, made by the Institute of Welsh Affairs, and mirrored by the Minister,
actually, which is that we need £30 million extra funding for English-language drama yearly
to come to Wales.
We know that there will be an announcement in March by Lord Hall, and he intends to come
back to our committee to tell us about the funding, but that's one of our key recommendations.
We've made a recommendation that BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 should have news opt-outs, and
that means that there should be provision on those radio stations for Welsh news to
be heard, so that people from Wales can hear stories about their area.
At the moment, quite a lot of people listen to BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2, and they potentially
wouldn't hear much about their own lives or hear stories about Wales.
So that's why we've made this recommendation, and we think that it's a key recommendation.
We have made a recommendation saying that no decision should be made on the funding
for S4C in the future until a review of S4C happens.
The UK Government have promised to do that review, and so, we think it would be really
unfair if the UK Government were to come up with a proposition to potentially cut funding
further in a climate where they're going to be reviewed, their governance structures,
the way they're funded, their relationship with the BBC, and so forth, are still under
the radar.
So, that's one of our key recommendations also.
I think, in the past, it's fair to say that we've focused quite significantly
on the BBC, because of the charter renewal process, and rightly so, but I think for ITV,
therefore, the spotlight hasn't been on them, and we need to tell ITV, I think, that
there should be more of an ambition for them to have more programming from Wales on the network.
Yes, the programme about Aberfan was on the network, and we thought that that was very good.
They do, then, provide various news programmes in the Welsh language for S4C and other programmes
for S4C also.
We totally acknowledge that, but we think that the idea that they can't do more than
one programme over the last however many years is potentially a bit unambitious, and I think
ITV network centrally in London should be taking more credence of the work being done
here in Wales and should be focusing attention on how they can commission more work here
in Wales from ITV Wales.
I think it's important that we have a proper debate about broadcasting and the future of
the media in Wales, but I don't want that to be a big, huge piece of work that we do,
so we're going to be looking at the future of radio in Wales—we've committed to do
a piece of work on that.
We've committed also to do a specific piece of work on the review of S4C, so that we can
feed into the UK Government's work.
And, also, I'm personally passionate about looking for solutions for the media in Wales,
and not just broadcasting—I mean print media; I mean online media—so that we're not
always describing the problem, but coming up with key solutions for the future of Wales.
So, I think that's something for people to look out for.

Don't Compare Yourself to Others - Duration: 4:32.
Do you ever look at the lives of people around you and say, "Man, I wish that was me."
You know you do.
Everybody does, but I bet you never compared yourself to me.
Haven't heard of me?
I do have my own TV show -- in the middle of the night.
When I started I wanted to be as big as Jerry Seinfeld.
I'm not.
And yet, I'm a pretty happy guy.
Here's why.
I stopped comparing myself to other people.
Seriously, that's the whole trick.
Here's what I mean.
If my happiness were based on being the biggest comedian in the business, I'd be mad at whoever
was getting more Netflix specials than me.
(I have zero.)
If it were based on having the best TV ratings, I'd be mad at Jimmy Fallon. He beats me every night.
And if it were based on being rich, I'd be mad at a lot of people.
And even if I were rich, really rich like #10 on the Forbes 400 rich, I'd be mad that
there were nine other people richer than me.
It never ends.
Comparing yourself to others creates a totally unrealistic measure for what constitutes success.
And I know because the entertainment business is all about unrealistic expectations.
All through my career I'd meet with satisfied customers after my shows and they'd say.
"Hey, you're good – maybe someday you'll be successful like Jerry Seinfeld."
He's the measure of success?
The top guy?
When someone tells you they're a doctor, you don't say, "Well, maybe someday you'll cure
a disease and save millions of lives, just like Jonas Salk did for polio."
Or a lawyer: "Oh, wow, so what's your ultimate goal, the Supreme Court?"
Do you see how crazy that sounds?
Professional success is about making a living, pursuing excellence, and finding meaning in
what you do.
When I first started doing standup, I was a nobody.
It took more than a decade of playing in front of tuned out crowds
before it started paying the bills.
Ten years is a long time to tell jokes for no money to people who aren't laughing.
In those days, I spent a lot of time thinking about the comedians I admired.
The guys at the top.
I wanted those big, sold out houses I wasn't playing.
The big paydays I wasn't making.
The TV specials I wasn't doing.
And not just their success, their talent.
I'd look at comics like George Carlin, Robin Williams and Louis C.K.
They were all able to turn their dark, personal struggles into brilliant comedy.
I envy their talent, but I wouldn't want the dark personal struggles that went along with it.
If you don't factor in everything, about whoever you're comparing yourself to, you're playing
a sort of mix-and-match game that doesn't exist in the real world.
Here's one of life's little truths - everyone is a package deal.
You can't view one element of someone else's life in isolation. That's cheating.
You can't say, "I want Louis C.K.'s money and fame, Jay Leno's car collection
and Tom Shillue's wife and kids."
That person doesn't exist!
If he did, he'd be pretty cool.
I'd definitely want to hang with him.
Everyone has pain in their lives.
Think of anybody who you know really well.
You know the awful stuff they've had to deal with - the demons they battle.
How many dead rock stars, movie stars and, yes, comedians does it take to convince us
all that everyone's life is hard?
Face it, you really don't want somebody else's life.
You want your own life -- only better.
But that's the thing.
You can make your life better by not doing something – comparing yourself to other people.
Back when I was a nobody I wanted to sell out the biggest venues and have a prime time
TV show with millions of viewers.
Now I sell out small venues and I'm on in the middle of the night with half a million viewers.
And I appreciate every one of them.
I guess when I compare myself now to myself then, I'm doing okay.
You should try it.
I'm Tom Shillue for Prager University.

Have you ever thought, what would it be like to live with someone for 40 - 50 years?
What would it be like to start and end your day with that same person for so many years?
Am sure there are people, who are together for so long
Let's meet people.
Let's meet couples who have been together for so many years.
And let find out how their love has transformed at different stages in life
Let's meet those couples
I was just 19 years old when I met my man
We have a six-and-a-half-year age gap between the two of us
This is our story.
One day we were both crossing the road.
And I saw her walking in my direction, she was going to college
And I had just returned from a work trip I saw her and thought to myself 'Wow'
Wow.
This sounds like such a filmy story.
Love at first sight
We met at a Dandiya function He asked me what my name is and
I didn't catch his name And all I remember was that he was wearing
a blue check shirt
While dancing, she got lost in the festive mood and she hit my thumbs with her dandiya sticks
That day when I went back home,
I don't know why but I felt like a warm fuzzy feeling inside
Butterflies in your stomach Butterflies in my stomach
I am from a Maharashtrian Brahman family, and my husband is a Muslim.
When you love somebody, religion, cast or color doesn't mean anything
And then we met a year later through friends and stuff
And I didn't know he was the same guy that I had met at the dandiya function
And he was like do you know where I first met you?
And then he showed me the pictures of him in the blue shirt and stuff.
I just thought that this is it.
This is the universe telling me that this is the person for me.
Everyone in my family was against our relationship.
My mother was so angry with me that she locked me up in a room.
What?
But the next day she managed to escape and get out of her room.
So, we went to a mosque to get married
But the cops know where to look for couples from two different faiths.
And so, they caught us in the mosque and separated us.
We had time apart from each other, which gave us time to
Realize how much we missed each other.
I look back and I saw the first letter he had written to me,
Was when he was joining ship for the very first time
And when he was in the flight he's writing not just I miss you, I love you, etc.
But what am I feeling right now.
I'm getting to share that phase with him, even though he's not right next to me.
After seven or eight months, I got a job and his ship once came to Bombay docks
So, we decided to get married that day.
We got married and on the same night he sailed to some other country
After nine months, he came back
It was a challenge for me
I got married under unconventional circumstances
And to make it work was a challenge
It was like our lives got reset and we were back to zero
The first time he googled a recipe and cooked for me was
When I was pregnant and wanted to eat chicken curry
We do fight with each other and when the argument gets to heated
We tend to not talk to each other for a couple of days.
We won't discuss the elephant in the room and when the dust settles
We go back to talking about other things
If I get up in the morning and realize she isn't around
I cannot imagine that day
He gave me a perfume, Forever perfume
And I have been using it for the past 30 years you can say

Gov't says import of foot-and-mouth vaccines unavoidable - Duration: 2:01.
As Korea tries to contain an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in cows,... two more suspected cases
have been reported in Boeun, Chungcheongbuk-do Province
The agriculture ministry, meanwhile, confirmed Monday that vaccines have proved effective
in curbing the type-A strain of the virus, the type that's been detected this time.
But... with the nation likely to run out of vaccine stock, the ministry says it plans
to import more from abroad.
Kim Hyo-sun reports.
The government has confirmed that the recent outbreak of the A-type strain of foot-and-mouth
disease can be contained using vaccines.
Vice Minister Lee Jun-won of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said
at a briefing on Monday that the strain of the virus detected at a farm in Yeoncheon,
Gyeonggi-do Province, about 70 kilometers away from the capital, is a match for the
type of vaccine currently used for cows, which covers both type O... and type A.
Lee, however, said that the current inventory would not be enough for the worst-case scenario
where the virus spreads to pigs,... adding that Korea will have no choice but to import
more doses.
According to the agriculture ministry, the country has 990-thousand of the O-plus-A vaccines
and 8-point-3 million of the O-type.
The ministry plans to import some 1-point-6 million of the O-plus-A type, and 3-point-2
million of the O-type virus... starting this week through early March.
Of the past eight outbreaks of the highly contagious disease in the country since 2000,...
almost all involved the O-type strain Only one of them, at cow farms in Pocheon
and Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do Province, involved the A-type.
After the nation's worst outbreak, foot-and-mouth vaccinations became mandatory in 2010.
The O-plus-A vaccine is given to cows, while pigs are given only the O-type,... given that
the A-type strain has never been detected in Korean pigs, something the authorities
hope remains the case this time as well.
Kim Hyo-sun, Arirang News.

Keto Mug Cake (Chocolate & Made in the Microwave) | Keto Recipes | Headbanger's Kitchen - Duration: 4:30.
Horns up and welcome to a brand new
episode of Headbanger's Kitchen. Now my
lips have fully healed and it's just in time for
Valentine's Day. Normally, I don't care
about things like this, but I know a lot of
people in the world do, so I thought to
myself today let's make a delicious
Keto Valentine's dessert, something you
can share with your loved ones. So we're
making a delicious Keto chocolate
mug cake.
Though I'm going to make it a ramekin, just
for that special effect, but you can eat
this on your own if you're single, or you
can just eat it with your loved ones,
It's completely up to you. So let's go and make
this delicious decadent Keto chocolate mug cake,
in the microwave – not actually – in the
mug in the ramekin for effect.
So to make this this cake we're going to mix in our dry
ingredients, which is 25 grams of almonds
almond flour, 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder,
a pinch of salt.
Next, we add in our wet ingredients –
a tablespoon of coconut oil or melted
butter, if you prefer, 1 tablespoon of cream,
a few drops of Stevia to taste or the powdered Stevia,
A few drops of vanilla extract and one egg.
Now we're going to give this all a
good whisk together and get it ready.
Then all you've got to do is pour this into your mug,
or your ramekin,
like I'm using, and put it in the microwave
for 1 whole minute. Now, if you want a slightly
cakey texture you can put it for about
10-15 seconds more but we want the
centre to be gooey, if possible.
Okay, so the microwave mug cake is ready but we're
not stopping here, we want to take this to the
next level so I'm going to top
this with some delicious chocolate ganache.
So I'm going to chop up one square of
Lindt chocolate, and put that with some
butter, about 10 grams. Melt that in the
microwave for 30 seconds
mix it all together. Add a tablespoon of
cream.
Oh and add Stevia to taste. Mix that all
together and my chocolate ganache is
ready for the mug cake.
Now all you've got to
do is garnish the cake with it and
you're done!
That's it, our microwave mug cake is ready
and that looks dee-licious!
Okay so it's time for me to dig in to this cake, this
delicious mug cake that I've not made in a
mug.
this is what we call happiness
Okay, so for me the ganache plus the cake really
makes it. That is the combination that
works. I will say one thing though, if
you do cook your cake in the ramekin like I do,
and you want it slightly gooey, cook it for
less than a minute because mine is
cooked all the way through; it's not gooey, but
I've got a more cake like consistency, so I
prefer that, I think. I mean, look at it

Take the WIDE END of the tie up and back down through the tunnel.

Top 5 Green Cars to buy in 2017 - Duration: 3:09.
Green cars were once all about saving fuel – often via oddly shaped, spaceship-like
designs.
Not anymore.
When it comes to motoring recommends green cars category, it is clear that the green
car has come of age.
We start with the Tesla Model S, a car that's done more for the image of green tech than
any other.
Offering supercar-rivalling performance and inherent practicality, the Model S starts
at about $120,000 plus on-road costs, and features a range of up to about 500km.
Drawing amps from a lithium-ion battery mounted low, beneath the floor, the Model S produces
anywhere from 235kW to 515kW in the case of ultimate twin-motor P100D.
Then there's the BMW i3.
A vehicle for those who don't want their enviro-consciousness to go unnoticed, the
sub-4 metre i3 is eminently practical, offering clever storage solutions and seating for four.
The i3 is available in both pure electric and range extender forms, the latter using
a two-cylinder motorcycle engine to extend the car's range, sipping on a claimed 0.6L/100kms.
If non-descript is more your go, then there's the Audi A3 E-Tron.
Heavily based on the regular 1.4 TFSI A3, the E-tron adds a 330Nm electric motor, bringing
a fuel claim of just 1.6L/100km.
The fundamentals of Audi A3 handling carry into the electrified version.
Having a combined 150kW and 350Nm boosts fun factor too, as well as making the A3 e-tron
an effortlessly easy city car.
The BMW 330e is cut from the same cloth.
The petrol-electric 3 Series is ultra-economical, while still offering classy driver appeal.
In battery-only mode, the 330e offers a claimed 40km range, thanks to a lithium ion pack beneath
the boot floor.
When its battery is depleted, the 330e draws on a perky 135kW 2.0-litre turbo-four mated
to slick eight-speed automatic.
The fuel claim sits at just 2.1L/100km combined.
The Mercedes-Benz C350e delivers similar class, handling and features.
It combines a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with a lithium-ion battery-powered electric
motor.
The resulting 205kW and 600Nm endows the Benz with a perky sub six-second sprint to triple
figure, while allowing it to sip on a miserly 2.6L/100km.

Ruling Saenuri Party changes name to Liberty Korea Party - Duration: 2:10.
The ruling Saenuri Party has officially adopted a new name -- the Liberty Korea Party.
Ji Myung-kil zooms in on the conservative bloc's effort to give itself a fresh start
amid the factional infighting that's led lawmakers to walk away... and the corruption scandal
surrounding the president.
The ruling Saenuri Party now has a new name -- the Liberty Korea Party -- and is expected
to adopt a new logo, party rules and platform... advocating the values of Korea's Constitution
and national security.
This is the fourth time the party has changed its name since its establishment in 1990.
It started out as the Democratic Liberal Party back in 1990, then became the Grand National
Party in 1997 and changed its name to Saenuri Party in February 2012.
This time, the party is seeking to refurbish its image, which has been tarnished by the
corruption scandal centering around President Park Geun-hye.
Since parliament passed a motion to impeach President Park in early December... the ruling
party has been embroiled in an internal feud among lawmakers close to the president and
those who aren't.
This resulted in at least thirty lawmakers leaving to create the splinter conservative
Bareun Party.
Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court is currently reviewing the legitimacy of the parliamentary
impeachment motion against President Park.
"Both the ruling and opposition parties vowed on Monday to accept the Constitutional Court's
verdict on the impeachment motion,.. regardless of the result."
The court has said a ruling is possible by the middle of next month.
If the motion is upheld, Korea will hold a presidential election within 60 days of the
ruling, spurring candidates into action.
Moon Jae-in,... the former chief of the main opposition Democratic Party of Korea and the
current presidential frontrunner,... registered his candidacy for his party's primaries on
Monday.
Moon's spokesperson said a formal declaration of his presidential bid will follow later.

Did The Judges Lie New Report Finds 72 Terrorists Came From Countries Covered By Trump Ban - Duration: 5:11.
Did The Judges Lie New Report Finds 72 Terrorists Came From Countries Covered By Trump Ban.
by Tyler Durden.
The federal judge who halted President Donald Trump's travel ban was wrong in stating that
no one from the seven countries targeted in Trump's order has been arrested for extremism
in the United States since the 2001 terrorist attacks.
In fact, as a new report finds, 72 individuals from the seven 'mostly Muslim countries' covered
by President Trump's "extreme vetting" executive order have been convicted of terrorism since
9/11.
As AP first reported, during a hearing in Seattle last week, Judge Robartasked a Justice
Department lawyer how many arrests of foreign nationals from the countries have occurred
since 9/11.
When the lawyer said she didn't know, Robart answered his own question:
"Let me tell, you, the answer to that is none, as best I can tell.
You're here arguing on behalf of someone that says we have to protect the United States
from these individuals coming from these countries and there's no support for that."
And now, having denied President Trump's appeal, claiming his policy "would cause irreparable
injury," would cause irreparable injury, it seems the entire premise of the seven "mostly
muslim" nations' mostly-peaceful, non-terrorist ways are in doubt as The Center for Immigration
Studies shows that...
A review of information compiled by a Senate committee in 2016 reveals that 72 individuals
from the seven countries covered in President Trump's vetting executive order have been
convicted in terror cases since the 9/11 attacks.
In June 2016 the Senate Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, then chaired by
new Attorney General Jeff Sessions, released a report on individuals convicted in terror
cases since 9/11.
Using open sources (because the Obama administration refused to provide government records), the
report found that 380 out of 580 people convicted in terror cases since 9/11 were foreign-born.
The report is no longer available on the Senate website, but a summary published by Fox News
is available here.
The Center has obtained a copy of the information compiled by the subcommittee.
The information compiled includes names of offenders, dates of conviction, terror group
affiliation, federal criminal charges, sentence imposed, state of residence, and immigration
history.
The Center has extracted information on 72 individuals named in the Senate report whose
country of origin is one of the seven terror-associated countries included in the vetting executive
order: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.
The Senate researchers were not able to obtain complete information on each convicted terrorist,
so it is possible that more of the convicted terrorists are from these countries.
The United States has admitted terrorists from all of the seven dangerous countries:
Somalia: 20 Yemen: 19
Iraq: 19 Syria: 7
Iran: 4 Libya: 2
Sudan: 1 Total: 72
According to the report, at least 17 individuals entered as refugees from these terror-prone
countries.
Three came in on student visas and one arrived on a diplomatic visa.
At least 25 of these immigrants eventually became citizens.
Ten were lawful permanent residents, and four were illegal aliens.
These facts stand in stark contrast to the assertions by the Ninth Circuit judges who
have blocked the president's order on the basis that there is no evidence showing a
risk to the United States in allowing aliens from these seven terror-associated countries
to come in.
Finally, we reminder readers that while Charles Kurzman, a sociology professor at the University
of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, says his research shows no Americans have been killed in the
U.S. at the hands of people from the seven countries - Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria,
Sudan and Yemen - since Sept. 11, it's not quite right to say no one from those nations
has been arrested or accused in an extremist-related plot while living in the U.S.
23 percent of Muslim Americans involved with extremist plots since Sept. 11 had family
backgrounds from the seven countries.
So Judge claims ZERO but in fact the number is 72...
Those darn 'alternative facts' are such trouble... or is it racist, sexist, mysoginist, and bogoted
when the liberal judiciary is fact-checked?

U.S. experts offer analysis of N. Korea missile launch - Duration: 2:03.
South Korea, the United States and Japan have requested an emergency UN Security Council
meeting to discuss North Korea's ballistic missile launch.
Meanwhile, it's hard to know the intent behind North Korea's missile launch, so our Connie
Kim turned to two North Korea watchers for their analysis.
Two U.S. experts have weighed in on North Korea's latest missile launch, which happened
just three weeks after President Donald Trump came into office.
Ken Gause, a senior North Korea analyst at U.S. think tank CNA Corporation, characterized
the Sunday launch as a purposely restrained message,... and said North Korea was testing
Washington to see the nature of the U.S. response and whether it would represent a shift in
strategy from the Obama administration.
However, Robert Manning, a senior analyst at the Atlantic Council, another U.S. think
tank, said it would be a mistake to see Pyongyang's missile and nuclear tests as mere provocations.
He characterized the launch, and the North's efforts to develop missiles and nuclear weapons
over the past 35 years, as a North Korean version of Eisenhower's "massive retaliation"
nuclear strategy of the 1950s to compensate for shortcomings in conventional military
capabilities.
Washington hasn't yet taken any individual action since Sunday's launch, but South Korea,
the United States and Japan have requested an emergency UN Security Council meeting to
discuss North Korea's ballistic missile launch.
In addition, U.S. lawmaker Cory Gardner, the chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee
on East Asia and Pacific Affairs,... has called for a secondary boycott of Chinese companies
that do business with North Korea.
Existing UN Security Council resolutions on North Korea ban any kind of launches using
ballistic missile technology.
On top of that, China's foreign ministry has expressed its objections to the launch.
"Regardless of the motive, the launch is being considered as a grave provocation and North
Korea is expected to draw international condemnation at a closed-door meeting of the UN Security
Council slated for Monday in New York.
