I didn't see you there...

You know what?

I think this is the most interesting book I have ever read.

Welcome to Anya Teaches English.

Today, we will be thinking about a grammar structure.

I just used this grammar structure a moment ago.

Can you remember what I said?

No?

I said...this is the most interesting book I have ever read.

So that grammar structure is SUPERLATIVE with PRESENT PERFECT and the word EVER.

Now if that all sounds very complicated then don't worry, I will explain!

So to start, let's think about what is the superlative.

Before we think about what the superlative is, we need to know what an ADJECTIVE is!

So what is an adjective?

An adjective is a word that we use to describe a NOUN.

And a noun is a thing!

So, for example, this is...a book!

The book is a NOUN.

What words can we use to describe books?

Books can be boring.

Books can be interesting.

Books can be short or long or maybe even funny.

So all of those words (boring, interesting, long, short, funny) these are all ADJECTIVES.

So the word that I would use to describe this book is interesting.

So what about when we want to compare two things?

I've got two books now.

This book is interesting.

This book is MORE interesting.

MORE INTERESTING, here, is the COMPARATIVE.

We use the COMPARATIVE when we're comparing TWO things.

This book is interesting..this book is MORE interesting than this book.

But what about when we want to compare three things?

We can't use the comparative when we are comparing three or more things.

We need to use the SUPERLATIVE.

In this case, the superlative is THE MOST interesting.

So I can say this book is interesting, this book is MORE interesting than that one but

this book is THE MOST interesting of the three!

Let's try that again.

Let's start again with the comparative form.

We'll use a different example this time.

So this is some perfume.

Mmm!

This perfume smells nice.

This perfume smells NICER.

So again, that's the COMPARATIVE.

Notice that I DON'T say it smells 'more nice' because 'nice' is a short one-syllable adjective

('nice') we only add 'ER' on the end of the word whereas the word 'interesting' has three

syllables..int-erest-ing.

When a word has three or more syllables, we add the word 'more' in front of it to make

the comparative.

So, again: this perfume smells nice.

This perfume smells NICER than this one.

So now let's practise that with the superlative.

This third perfume...mmm!

This one smells...what do you think?

The nicest, the most nice or the most nicest?

The answer is it smells THE NICEST.

So let's review those comparatives and superlatives one more time.

This book is interesting.

This book is MORE interesting.

And this book is THE MOST interesting.

And with the perfumes..this perfume smells nice.

This perfume smells NICER and this perfume smells THE NICEST.

Going back to the grammar structure I was using at the start of this video I can also

say that this perfume is THE NICEST perfume I have ever smelt.

Let's just go through a couple more examples now before I hand it over to you.

So, this perfume; I bought this perfume in Thailand and, like most things in Thailand,

it was very cheap!

So what do you think is the superlative for 'cheap'?

Is it the most cheap or the cheapest?

The correct answer is...the cheapest!

And why?

It's because the word cheap has just one syllable, one sound (cheap).

So, I can say in my whole life I have never bought a cheaper perfume than this.

It is THE CHEAPEST perfume I have ever bought.

Compare it to this one, the nicest one.

This one was the opposite of cheap.

It was expensive.

So what's the superlative for 'expensive'?

Is it the most expensive or the expensivist?

The correct answer is, of course, THE MOST expensive.

And why?

It's because the word 'expensive' has three syllables: ex-pen-sive.

So I can say in my life I've never bought a more expensive perfume than this one.

It is the most expensive perfume I have ever bought.

One final and important thing for me to add is about IRREGULAR comparatives and superlatives.

So not all words follow the rules that I mentioned before about the syllables.

Some words are just...annoying and you just have to remember.

So, let's say for example...what's this?

This is hairspray.

I use it to make my hair big.

This hairspray is pretty bad.

This hairspray...what is it?

Is it badder?

Is it more bad?

No.

We would say this hairspray is WORSE than this one.

So that's the comparative.

And finally...the superlative.

This hairspray is THE WORST hairspray I've ever...what do we do with hairspray?

Do we read it?

Do we smell it?

No, we USE it so I can say this is the worst hairspray I've ever USED.

One more very important IRREGULAR superlative.

But let's start with the adjective first so...these sunglasses, they're pretty good!

These sunglasses are good but these sunglasses...they are...what are they?

Gooder?

More good?

Noo!

These sunglasses are BETTER than these sunglasses.

So that's the comparative and the superlative...these sunglasses are THE BEST.So I can say these

sunglasses are the best (comparing all three) or in fact, I love these ones so much that

I can say these are THE BEST sunglasses I have ever bought.

Right, that's enough from me.

So that's about who's the most handsome or the most beautiful famous person you've seen

in your life.

Doesn't have to be in real life but maybe on the television or in a magazine and my

last question for you is...What is the most beautiful place you have ever visited?

Only forty light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.

Scientists debate if M dwarfs are good places to look for life.

But life around a cool red star could look very different from life on Earth.

On a Trappist-1 planet the sun never rises or sets.

Half of the planet is day and half is always night.

A year lasts 1 to 20 days.

The sun would loom up to six times larger in the sky

And daylight would be red-orange.

If planets grew there, they might look red or black.

Scientists will continue to search for signs of life with future telescopes.

A soprano is someone who has a high pitched voice to sing and is the singer who carries

the melody.

It is usually women who possess this quality.

In the past, men who had not yet experienced changes in puberty could perform very well

in this musical registry.

Others were castrated so that their voice would never become deep.

In classical music and opera especially, several female voices have left whole audiences stupefied.

Now let's see "the best sopranos in history".

Elisabeth Schwarzkopf A soprano of German origin.

Her performances earned her great success and recognition worldwide and her career began

at the State Opera in Berlin, where she played great music classics from 1938 until 1942.

Renée Fleming She's an American soprano.

Some critics position her as the best interpreter of Mozart and Strauss.

She attended the Eastman School of Music, where she perfected her technique and made

her way into the world of opera.

Edita Gruberová A soprano of Slovak origin.

She was born on December 23, 1946.

Her first role was in 1968, in the opera of her hometown, Bratislava.

From that moment, she conquered the scenes in her country and soon departed to Vienna,

where she was well received.

Victoria de los Ángeles She was a soprano considered one of the "most

important in the world".

She was successful in Europe and South America.

In the United States, she made her first presentation in 1950, when she was just over 23 years old.

She's known for being the first soprano of Spanish origin to feature at the Bayreuth

Festival.

Nathalie Dessaix She was born in Lyon, France, on April 19,

1965.

She is a light soprano who can sing very high melodies.

This quality is known as "light coloratura".

She was the most famous soprano of France and her staging was one of the powerful ones.

In 2013, she announced her retirement from the stage.

Angela Burlacu A lyrical soprano of Romanian origin.

This type of technique has a richer timbre compared to the slight coloratura.

Her work stood out in the performances in operas of Puccini and Verdi.

In 2012, she sang and performed for the first time in Latin America, in a concert at the

Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

Anna Netrebko She was born on September 18, 1971, in Russia.

In spite of her young age, she has managed to position herself like one of the "best

interpreters of the world".

Her voice is a mixture of softness with flexibility.

She has the two basic characteristics of soprano technique.

She has shared a stage along with great stars like Plácido Domingo and Rolando Villazón.

María Callas Born in the United States, but of Greek origin.

She is considered one of the eminences of 20th century opera.

She had a special gift and her voice was one of the most powerful.

Her staging was also very powerful and she managed to master the vocal technique from

a very young age.

She died in 1977, in Paris.

Monserrat Caballé She was born in Barcelona, on April 12, 1933.

She is one of the most important sopranos of the 20th century.

In 1950, she gave her first performance in the Theater Fortuny de Reus, in Tarragona,

Spain.

Throughout her professional career, she has personified more than 80 roles in different

operas, many of them dedicated to NASA space missions.

Luke Bryan and family members mourn loss of his infant niece Sadie Brett - Duration: 1:42.

Luke Bryan and his loved ones received some heart-wrenching news Tuesday.

The country singer and his wife Caroline were informed their infant niece Sadie Brett Boyer passed away just a few days after she had contracted an infection. The baby was also born with a congenital heart defect and was not in satisfactory health, her mother Ellen Boyer revealed on her Facebook page a few weeks back.

She wrote in a post earlier this week:

"10 steps forward.. 5 steps back. I'm trying to stay positive and say at least we're still ahead of where we were 10 days ago.. And we are, but today has been a tough day. Brett seems to have an infection of some sort.

The team is leaning toward blood infection/sepsis.

Her blood pressures and her temp have been really low today and got pretty scary low around 3.

She is on several antibiotics so our prayer is that they will be the correct ones to treat this infection."

On Monday, Ellen updated the public that Sadie's condition had declined overnight.

"Please- Please pray with us. Please pray for this infection to clear and for her liver to be able to work properly," she added.

Following the devastating news of the newborn's death, Bryan thanked fans for their love and support during the family's trying time.

"We thank all of you for your prayers. Love y'all," he wrote to Twitter.

The singer sadly lost his brother Chris back in 1996 in a car accident. His sister Kelly died unexpectedly in 2007, followed by her husband Ben in 2014.

"Please flood the heavens with prayers," Ellen last said on social media.

English Grammar: Superlative + Present perfect + Ever! - Duration: 9:47.

You know what?

I think this is the most interesting book I have ever read.

Welcome to Anya Teaches English.

Today, we will be thinking about a grammar structure.

I just used this grammar structure a moment ago.

Can you remember what I said?

No?

I said...this is the most interesting book I have ever read.

So that grammar structure is SUPERLATIVE with PRESENT PERFECT and the word EVER.

Now if that all sounds very complicated then don't worry, I will explain!

So to start, let's think about what is the superlative.

Before we think about what the superlative is, we need to know what an ADJECTIVE is!

So what is an adjective?

An adjective is a word that we use to describe a NOUN.

And a noun is a thing!

So, for example, this is...a book!

The book is a NOUN.

What words can we use to describe books?

Books can be boring.

Books can be interesting.

Books can be short or long or maybe even funny.

So all of those words (boring, interesting, long, short, funny) these are all ADJECTIVES.

So the word that I would use to describe this book is interesting.

So what about when we want to compare two things?

I've got two books now.

This book is interesting.

This book is MORE interesting.

MORE INTERESTING, here, is the COMPARATIVE.

We use the COMPARATIVE when we're comparing TWO things.

This book is interesting..this book is MORE interesting than this book.

But what about when we want to compare three things?

We can't use the comparative when we are comparing three or more things.

We need to use the SUPERLATIVE.

In this case, the superlative is THE MOST interesting.

So I can say this book is interesting, this book is MORE interesting than that one but

this book is THE MOST interesting of the three!

Let's try that again.

Let's start again with the comparative form.

We'll use a different example this time.

So this is some perfume.

Mmm!

This perfume smells nice.

This perfume smells NICER.

So again, that's the COMPARATIVE.

Notice that I DON'T say it smells 'more nice' because 'nice' is a short one-syllable adjective

('nice') we only add 'ER' on the end of the word whereas the word 'interesting' has three

syllables..int-erest-ing.

When a word has three or more syllables, we add the word 'more' in front of it to make

the comparative.

So, again: this perfume smells nice.

This perfume smells NICER than this one.

So now let's practise that with the superlative.

This third perfume...mmm!

This one smells...what do you think?

The nicest, the most nice or the most nicest?

The answer is it smells THE NICEST.

So let's review those comparatives and superlatives one more time.

This book is interesting.

This book is MORE interesting.

And this book is THE MOST interesting.

And with the perfumes..this perfume smells nice.

This perfume smells NICER and this perfume smells THE NICEST.

Going back to the grammar structure I was using at the start of this video I can also

say that this perfume is THE NICEST perfume I have ever smelt.

Let's just go through a couple more examples now before I hand it over to you.

So, this perfume; I bought this perfume in Thailand and, like most things in Thailand,

it was very cheap!

So what do you think is the superlative for 'cheap'?

Is it the most cheap or the cheapest?

The correct answer is...the cheapest!

And why?

It's because the word cheap has just one syllable, one sound (cheap).

So, I can say in my whole life I have never bought a cheaper perfume than this.

It is THE CHEAPEST perfume I have ever bought.

Compare it to this one, the nicest one.

This one was the opposite of cheap.

It was expensive.

So what's the superlative for 'expensive'?

Is it the most expensive or the expensivist?

The correct answer is, of course, THE MOST expensive.

And why?

It's because the word 'expensive' has three syllables: ex-pen-sive.

So I can say in my life I've never bought a more expensive perfume than this one.

It is the most expensive perfume I have ever bought.

One final and important thing for me to add is about IRREGULAR comparatives and superlatives.

So not all words follow the rules that I mentioned before about the syllables.

Some words are just...annoying and you just have to remember.

So, let's say for example...what's this?

This is hairspray.

I use it to make my hair big.

This hairspray is pretty bad.

This hairspray...what is it?

Is it badder?

Is it more bad?

No.

We would say this hairspray is WORSE than this one.

So that's the comparative.

And finally...the superlative.

This hairspray is THE WORST hairspray I've ever...what do we do with hairspray?

Do we read it?

Do we smell it?

No, we USE it so I can say this is the worst hairspray I've ever USED.

One more very important IRREGULAR superlative.

But let's start with the adjective first so...these sunglasses, they're pretty good!

These sunglasses are good but these sunglasses...they are...what are they?

Gooder?

More good?

Noo!

These sunglasses are BETTER than these sunglasses.

So that's the comparative and the superlative...these sunglasses are THE BEST.So I can say these

sunglasses are the best (comparing all three) or in fact, I love these ones so much that

I can say these are THE BEST sunglasses I have ever bought.

Right, that's enough from me.

titan to deal with inside their damn walls,

and honestly, they can't be worse than

what I've had to deal with inside my walls,

which is Kyle Hill and Jessica Chobot

constantly trying to steal my snacks.

I mean, Jesus, come on!

My Hero Academia.

Another fan favorite makes its return with

the second season of My Hero Academia.

I mean, high school sucks enough as it is,

but it sucks even more when those raging hormones

combine with raging super powers.

After proving himself in season one

against the league of villains,

Izuku and his pals are in for a sports festival

for the ages, if you're believing rumors about the manga.

Honestly, I'll watch pretty much anything

if there's a good old-fashioned competition in it,

and if it just so happens to be more My Hero Academia,

then even better.

Granblue Fantasy.

Finally, there's a show that takes the best part of Avatar,

the floating islands in the sky,

and ditches the worst part of Avatar,

the weird USB hair dicks,

to make a show that has no relation to Avatar.

Based on an RPG of the same name,

Granblue Fantasy tells the story of a young dude named Gran

who alongside a flying lizard

and a magical girl with blue hair has to stand against

an evil empire trying to murder everyone.

Basically, it has all the fun of

playing a sprawling fantasy RPG

without the hundred plus hours needed to play it.

Achievement locked.

Berserk.

Guts is back and this time there's no pesky

Mo or Mike O'Malley to ruin it.

There's also no Aggro Crag because this isn't a kids show.

You can't take home a piece of the radical rock.

Rather, it's a dark fantasy saga full of blood,

bone-crunching battle scenes, and spooky skeletons.

Guts, the supernaturally strong mercenary with

a sword the size of a small horse returns this April

to continue the grisly adventures in Berserk.

Sure, the CG might be questionable,

but when the action kicks this much ass,

can you really complain?

Well, considering that we're anime fans,

yes, but you get my point.

Hinako Note.

Now, I'm all for following your passions in life.

I mean, case in point, look what I get to do for a living.

This rules.

But honestly, this seems insane.

In Hinako Note, a shy little girl named Hinaki finds

that she's preternaturally gifted with handling animals,

so rather than becoming a veterinarian

or training service dogs,

she does what any one of us would do.

Starts working as a scarecrow.

You know, that old chestnut.

That old, "They told me I could become anything,"

"So I became a goddamn scarecrow."

Wait, what are you even talking about, chestnut?

Clockwork Planet.

You know what really grinds my gears?

Industrialization.

And the same can be said of Naoto,

the high school dropout/amateur tinkerer

at the heart of Clockwork Planet.

He lives a dull, dreary existence

until one day a box containing a female automaton

crashes into his home and sets off a chain of events

that will finally let him become the hero

he's always wanted to be.

And he'd better rise to the occasion too,

or otherwise the planet is pretty screwed.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

Naruto and Harry Potter share a lot in common,

in that they were orphaned under horrible circumstances,

busted their asses at elite academies,

ultimately saved the world,

and have kids with seriously stupid names.

Okay, not as stupid as Scorpius Malfoy,

but you get my point.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

proves that time is a flat circle

and there will always be a new generation of Shinobi

to get embroiled in a weird ninja world war

and caught up in at least 60 episodes of filler.

Actually, maybe we can just skip that last part.

I mean please, please guys.

There's so much filler.

Yu-Gi-Oh!

Wow, they're just bringing everything back these days, huh?

What's this, the sixth Yu-Gi-Oh series?

And what's coming after this?

Are they bringing back I My Me! Strawberry Eggs?

No? I'm the only person who saw that? Cool.

Anyway, Yu-Gi-Oh returns this spring with

a brand new series starring Yusaku Fujiki,

a student who hates to stand out at his school.

Uh, hot tip, Yusaku,

maybe don't have hair that looks like you motor boated

a unicorn if you don't want to stand out.

Anyway, while we know there's gonna be plenty of

inner monologues and tense card battles,

my biggest question is how is this show

going to be updated for 2017?

Atom: The Beginning.

What classic story isn't made

infinitely better by a prequel?

The Godfather had Godfather: Part II.

And now Astro Boy has Atom: The Beginning.

This anime tells the story of two brilliant

young university researchers who work together

to produce a robot dubbed A106.

The real question, though,

is whether he'll become a god or a friend,

but in the immortal words of that little girl

from that TV commercial, why not both?

And those are some of the best new spring anime

you need to put in your eyeballs, but tell me,

A Tasty Trove of Exoplanets at TRAPPIST-1 - Duration: 3:49.

There's big news this week from 40 light years away, a star system called TRAPPIST-1.

There's something happening there that no one has ever seen before.

I'm Mike Lemonick.

And I'm Lee Billings.

And we're here to talk about exoplanets, one of our favorite subjects.

So when exoplanets were first discovered 20 years ago, they were mostly gaseous giants

like Jupiter, which is interesting but it's not a place where you could have life.

There's just no solid surface to stand on.

We've been looking and looking for solid rocky planets like Earth ever since, and we've found

a lot of them but there's a new announcement that is probably the most exciting one we've

heard yet.

Very exciting.

We've found a couple, haven't we?

There's not just one Earth-like planet that we're talking about.

Earth-sized planet.

Not two.

Not three.

Not five.

Seven orbiting one single star, all of them about the size of Earth.

That's pretty yummy.

That's pretty yummy.

You can put them down.

So Lee, tell us how they found these planets.

Yeah, so it's pretty interesting.

What they did to actually find them was something called the transit technique, and what that

means is as seen from Earth, they essentially cross the face of their star in their orbit.

And that casts a shadow towards us here that we can see as a little dimming of the star.

We measure the dimming of the star, the size of the shadow, and thus the size of the planet.

Ok, but size alone is, I mean size matters, but size alone is not the only thing.

You want to know that density, you want to know if it's rocky like the Earth.

I understand that they have determined that all of these planets are probably rocky.

To find that out, you have to know their density.

Right?

And so we find that out by looking at them as they orbit the star.

And as they do that their gravity pulls on each other.

Their orbits speed up and slow down.

And by measuring that we can tell how much mass each of them has.

And if you have the mass and you've got the volume, you can calculate the density.

And it looks like the density is probably very similar to Earth.

These are probably made of rock.

Which is pretty nifty.

It's pretty nifty.

But it's not enough to show that they are habitable.

They also have to be at the right distance from this small cool star to allow water to

be in liquid form.

And again, it's pretty amazing because,

Well, three of them are in this habitable zone, and that's kind of like Venus, Earth,

and Mars are in the habitable zone here in our solar system, of course only one of those

planets is habitable, ours.

And here there's also three planets in this habitable zone around this star that's about

40 light years away.

It's a much smaller star than the Sun.

It's a little tiny red dwarf, it's called.

And again, they are all huddled around it like a campfire.

Right, but in order to know whether there's actually the right conditions for life, it

doesn't just have to be the right temperature, you have to know what gasses are in the atmosphere.

And we actually have a way that we'll soon be able to do that.

That's right.

In 2018, just next year folks, let's hope, NASA is going to be launching its James Webb

Space Telescope, a giant piece of kit that's going to be about one and a half million kilometers

out there beyond the orbit of the moon, and it's going to be able to look at these planets

as they transit across the face of the star.

Yeah, and so what happens is if you look at the glaze on this little donut hole, that

little thin glaze, the telescope will be able to watch the star light penetrating through

the atmosphere, that thin atmosphere, and actually measure the gasses that are inside.

So we don't have long to wait before we find out possibly whether these things are actually

habitable.

And even though they may not be habitable, they are certainly edible.

to build robots to do her chores around

the house and mentions her parents once

what those are but we have no evidence

to point towards we have no idea she

mentions her parents yet again and when

asked what she'll do with the grant

money she simply says oh I have an idea

this is clearly hinting towards

something that will be unveiled to us

quote it's a secret for now but my

parents are taking me on a trip to

celebrate it will be my first time

flying so I can't wait that sounds super

ominous i would not be surprised that

plane goes down but here's the thing

it's very unlikely that bozo would kill

a child and it's also unlikely that both

would kill a fictional child in a story

but the repeated mention of her parents

that placement of importance on her

parents does seem to suggest that our

parents will be used as a plot device

some form of motivation for this

character also mentioned that plane kind

of sets us up for a cinematic on new

Bonnie since the attacker spawn room is

the new Bonnie airport so far every

animated short we've seen as taking

place on an overwatch map

could we be getting a cinematic trailer

reveal we had Widowmaker and tracer on

King's row we had hands ong on Amara we

had some burr on both kya soldier 76 on

dorado Winston i watch pointer Walter if

there were to be a cinematic short on

new Bonnie it's either going to be doing

fist or it's going to be FB related or

both

now here's the other thing about fe not

being killed on a plane and a similar

vein blizzard would not make her a

playable character that runs around

shoots guns and gets shot at and killed

that would ruin the games teen rating

and have deeper implications for public

relations and I feel like was trying to

be very PC about everything so if Fe is

the new hero we're getting then she has

to be introduced in some way where were

not killing a child in the game

one possibility is that she can be a

hero who remains in the spawn room where

she can't even be targeted maybe she

sends out minions some drones onto the

battlefield losers been known to

shake-up jamas and heroes of the storm a

MOBA they introduced a birther a

character that is so different from any

character you've ever seen in a mobile

before because he plays like an RTS hero

effectively it it basically allows you

to get a bird's-eye view of the

battlefield and you stay safe at base i

mean you can move a database as a

birther but theoretically you can say in

base and send out minions and sort of

stuff teammates and and otherwise

exercise control throughout the map

another possibility is that FB won't be

the new hero at all but she might be the

something that can keep people safe

so we're like looking at a tank hero

lunar new year event telling us to quote

expect new skins to celebrate the year

More than half of Donald Trump's supporters say that, "The media is their enemy," and

that's something that Donald Trump has echoed since the very first day he was sworn in office.

They said, "The media is the opposition party."

That's what Steve Bannon said.

Do you know why they said that?

According to the Washington Post fact checkers, Donald Trump has not gone a single day since

being sworn in as president that he has not lied to the American public.

Not one single day.

As of today, he has been president for 33 days and every day of this administration,

he has come out and said either a flat out lie, a falsehood, a misstatement that wasn't

true.

You name it.

Some days the number goes as high as 12 according to these fact checkers.

You don't have to just say, "Well, that's the media picking on him."

You've got the Sweden terrorist attack that didn't happen when Donald Trump said it happened.

The claims of voter fraud, all the alleged fake news, the fake polls, those are lies

and it's coming from the man sitting in the most powerful position in the world.

He can't go a day without lying and that's not some kind of attack on him.

That's not hyperbole.

That is literally what the fact checkers are telling us.

We have not gone a day without the president of the United States lying to us since Barack

Obama was the president of the United States.

Now they didn't say Obama's record on this, maybe it's been longer than 33 days since

the last time we had a president that didn't lie to our faces, but this is the kind of

thing that we should be outraged about.

We shouldn't be outraged about the fact that the media is covering this, like the Trump

supporters are.

We should be outraged by the fact that we have a man sitting in the White House that

can't tell the truth.

He is physically incapable of being honest with us, the American public, the people that

he was chosen to serve, not to rule over, to serve in the highest position possible.

Donald Trump works for us, not the other way around.

We need to demand better from our elected officials.

We need to demand someone who at least, at the very least, can go 24 hours without telling

us something that's not true.

I don't think that's too much to ask.

Even George W. Bush didn't lie to the public every single day.

I know we had one or two days in there where he didn't say a lie because he didn't speak

to anyone, but Trump's not like that.

It was hard to imagine when George W. Bush left office that we could ever have someone

as bad as he was, but now, in retrospect, hell, he looks pretty damn good compared to

Donald Trump.

That's only going to continue to get better for George W. Bush because if history is any

indicator, Donald Trump is going to continue to lie and deceive the public at every given

opportunity.

That's why what the media is doing right now, calling out these lies, is so important.

So to hell with the Trump supporters who say that the media is the opposition.

Yeah, the corporate media sucks.

I agree with you on that, but for different reasons.

They suck because they take their orders from Pfizer, from Merck, from Coke industries,

from Boeing.

The companies that like to push for war or more oil drilling or put dangerous prescription

drugs on the market.

That's my problem with the corporate controlled media, but I have no problem with them pointing

out Donald Trump's lies because that is something that everyone needs to know about.

Gun made, as usual with Marui, for the Japanese market, its power is about 300 FPS, which is low for a sniper rifle

Its parts aren't made to handle high powers, which is why you'll need to upgrade it if you want to increase its power

... It's safe to assume that the usual airsoft upgrade parts brands will soon release parts for this gun

Out of the box the mechanism is really smooth though, it's very comfortable to use

You put the magazine in a realistic aera, but the hop up unit is placed further away, pretty much where I put my left hand on the gun

Therefore there is some kind of a little tunnel inside the gun, which takes the bbs from the magazine to the hop up unit (more on that later)

Also, the gun is short stroked : you don't have to pull the charging handle a lot ; the gun uses a small cylinder

I'm not sure to understand why Marui made this choice on this gun

It might be a problem for those who'd like to use heavier bbs and a high power

About 310 FPS, very stable, using 0.20 gr Airsoft Entrepot bbs

Outdoor shooting test at 32 meters, using 0.28 gr ATM bbs

I won't show the whole shooting sequence since it's quite long, but at this distance, no problem

Compared to a VSR10, the gun is heavier and bulkier

Note the adjustable cheek rest, the holes for QD type sling mounts, top rail and front rail...

The stock feels very "plastic" compared to other guns which use nylon fiber, it feels a bit cheap to me

The grip, which is really large, but actually quite comfortable

The magazine is very tight, it doesn't fall if you push the mag release lever

The "tunnel" of the gun, it contains 16 bbs and takes the bbs from the magazine to the hop up unit

You can manually empty it like so

The out of the box mechanism is really smooth, which is quite enjoyable

The back of the bolt shows if the gun is armed or not

There is a long first course on the trigger ; after the wall you have a shorter pull

Note the safety, which is active when you pull it to the rear

Flash hider is mounted on a 14mm CCW thread

The hop up adjustment wheel, which is very convenient to use

Top rail of the gun for your optic and the front rail (with a part on top and on the right, nothing on the left)

Cheek rest, that you can adjust like so

The gun comes with 4 parts that you can use to change the length of the stock

There is 2 screws to unscrew on the back

Today we're taking a look at folks that have started using the phrase

"identity politics"

to stifle conversation that makes them uncomfortable.

Here's why they should step out of their bubble of alternative facts

and take a look at what's actually dividing our country.

On today's agenda,

we'll be discussing

The way we use the phrase "identity politics" today,

usually applies to an individual or group

focused on a narrow cause,

often to their benefit at the exclusion of others.

Which is funny, because it sounds like something

racist white people literally invented.

Like the time they tried to legally count a black person

as only a portion of a white person.

Or the time they spent taxpayer dollars

on two of everything instead of sharing with people of color.

Or even the time white nationalist Richard Spencer said this:

Historically, examples of "white excellence"

in America seem to necessitate the exclusion or subjugation

of anyone who isn't a white guy.

But the moment people of color or ethnic minorities

start to reclaim these differences

and own a culture they've developed

under government-sanctioned oppression …

suddenly we're the ones hung up on race?

Don't hate the player,

hate the game your racist ancestors invented.

Apparently, whenever people of color

talk about systemic inequality

and how it affects their lives day-to-day,

we're playing the race card.

But based on the way everyone from members of Congress

to Breitbart bloggers have been using the phrase,

identity politics has become a safety blanket

for alt-right snowflakes eager to lash out at their opponents

using phrases like the "woman card" or the "gay agenda"

when they find themselves unable to debate

using science, history or fact.

What the right gets wrong about their identity-politics claim

is that today's movements for equality are inclusive.

From the Black Lives Matter movement to the Women's March on Washington,

centering vulnerable communities in a name

has never meant the exclusion of allies —

because allies know that equality means

first lifting up those who don't share in it equally.

Can't say the same for the adorable deplorables at a Trump rally

who kicked out a black man, assuming the color of his skin

made him a protester.

Get him out of here!

Gotta love that alt-right inclusivity.

This is why Americans,

particularly the white majority in this country,

need to hear from people who aren't like them.

According to a 1996 study from USC's Annenberg School,

television programs can influence the way a viewer feels about

groups through a process known as "priming."

Exposure to stereotypes, or counter-stereotypes,

can alter that viewer's behavior

toward a stereotyped group in an unrelated media event.

So if the stories you consume on screens

can influence the way you treat people in the real world,

representation and authenticity take on an entirely new urgency.

When you call shows like Blackish

or Master of None

or even the One Day at a Time reboot

"reverse racist" because they center around

non-stereotypical people of color,

you're ignoring the fact that for centuries, our entertainment hasn't.

You don't lose an episode of Friends

for every episode of Blackish that comes out.

This isn't a zero-sum game.

Although apparently y'all can't even share a fictional character,

as evidenced by Megyn Kelly:

So when I talk about being a queer Latino

and needing representation for other people like me,

I'm not trying to erase straight, white Anglo narratives —

and I'm not trying to police your thought.

I'm simply trying to add my experience to the cultural record,

because I feel like an accurate understanding of it is still in the works.

I'm a resource, not an executive order.

We've got doughboys with knockoff Macklemore haircuts out here

saying, "America belongs to white men"

because they're too insecure to imagine a world

where they thrive without oppressing someone else.

In the face of alternative facts,

we need to hear unflinchingly honest truths.

Don't let racist, mediocre white guys

gaslight you into being ashamed of who you are

or what you bring to the table.

Because this country thrives when we listen to people of all shades,

Hi guys, it's Sarah and welcome to this hopefully really super quick channel update chat that

I just feel like I have to like let you know what's gonna be going on this year, probably

the whole year, sorry.

You probably know because I complain about it a lot but I am going into my fourth

year of vet school and it is the last year of like actual like "content" and lectures

and stuff before I start a year of like rotations and like practical stuff.

So because it's the last year of content and the last year of learning things, it's a very,

very intense year, I have heard a lot of horror stories from previous fourth year students

and I am preparing for the worst.

I'm not like an amazing student so I really need to like get my head in the books and

really really REALLY get my butt into gear if I want to pass this semester.

Anyway that leads me to where this channel is going to be in this next year.

Now, because this year is going to be intense and I'm not entirely sure how intense it's

going to be until I'm in it, I'm going to basically just say I probably won't have something

up every single week.

And that's hard for me to do because I have honestly- I don't think- I don't think I've

missed a Wednesday in my nearly two years of being on YouTube so it's a bit strange

to like have to throw that schedule out of the window but... it's just something that's

gonna have to happen.

I have been thinking about this a lot because it's honestly, I- I need to pass, and if I don't

pass, the way that the university system like in this particular degree works is you have

to repeat the entire year.

Well like you just have to repeat the semester you failed but you have to take six months

off before you can get back to the semester that you failed because they don't run it

all year if that makes any sense?

So if I fail, it really puts like this big spanner in the works of the plans for my life

because at the moment, I graduate next year and I would like to keep it that way.

On top of not every Wednesday, if I really do feel like I wanna upload something, I may

just do like some sit down chatty videos like you've been seeing in the last couple of weeks.

So that might happen, who knows.

Basically I just need to take a lot of the pressure off me doing YouTube because realistically,

I'm not going to be doing YouTube for my whole life.

A lot of people want to pursue like careers in YouTube and the entertainment industry but

I'm not one of them, I'm just doing this for a hobby, like a fun university hobby to keep

me from going insane, and I might just end up going insane anyway from actually keeping

this hobby up.

So yeah, that sucks, as much as the YouTube algorithm is really gonna screw my channel

over because I'm not being consistent, I just need to do it because uni.

Sorry, uh, hope you're not too disappointed, but that's a thing that's gonna have to happen,

my grades come first.

But yeah whatever, I think this is all I wanted to say, I probably wanted to say a whole bunch

Massachusetts prosecutors filed court documents Wednesday that include phone transcripts of Hernandez speaking with former University of Florida teammate Mike Pouncey about what the Commonwealth contends may help convict Hernandez in his upcoming double homicide trial.

Jury selection is ongoing for the trial that is scheduled to open on March 1, but the court documents highlight conversations between Hernandez, who has previously been convicted for the murder of Odin Lloyd, and Pouncey, also an NFL player.

Prosecutors pointed to one phone call on April 3, 2015 and stated that Hernandez felt he was being "tried" or tested by clubgoers in Boston.

Alexander Bradley, a former Hernandez associate who was with Hernandez the night of the alleged murders, is expected to testify that Hernandez felt disrespected by Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Aubreu in a night club before Hernandez allegedly shot and killed them.

A second phone call with Pouncey took place on April 28, 2015 and involved discussion of a tattoo that Hernandez wanted. The court papers quote Hernandez:

"During this call, [Hernandez] stated words to the effect of, 'I'm going to get another tattoo that looks like a stop sign that will say, 'Beware, no hesitation.' [Hernandez] said, 'You feel me? Like try me and there's no hesitation.'"

Hernandez is accused of killing de Abreu and Furtado as retaliation for someone bumping into him and spilling a drink in a Boston club.

Pouncey has been one of the few teammates to publicly support Hernandez since he first became a suspect in the Lloyd killing.

Luke Bryan and family members mourn loss of his infant niece Sadie Brett - Duration: 1:42.

Luke Bryan and his loved ones received some heart-wrenching news Tuesday.

The country singer and his wife Caroline were informed their infant niece Sadie Brett Boyer passed away just a few days after she had contracted an infection. The baby was also born with a congenital heart defect and was not in satisfactory health, her mother Ellen Boyer revealed on her Facebook page a few weeks back.

She wrote in a post earlier this week:

"10 steps forward.. 5 steps back. I'm trying to stay positive and say at least we're still ahead of where we were 10 days ago.. And we are, but today has been a tough day. Brett seems to have an infection of some sort.

The team is leaning toward blood infection/sepsis.

Her blood pressures and her temp have been really low today and got pretty scary low around 3.

She is on several antibiotics so our prayer is that they will be the correct ones to treat this infection."

On Monday, Ellen updated the public that Sadie's condition had declined overnight.

"Please- Please pray with us. Please pray for this infection to clear and for her liver to be able to work properly," she added.

Following the devastating news of the newborn's death, Bryan thanked fans for their love and support during the family's trying time.

"We thank all of you for your prayers. Love y'all," he wrote to Twitter.

The singer sadly lost his brother Chris back in 1996 in a car accident. His sister Kelly died unexpectedly in 2007, followed by her husband Ben in 2014.

"Please flood the heavens with prayers," Ellen last said on social media.

A Connecticut father was convicted of murder Wednesday in the bridge-toss death of his 7-month old son.

Jurors in Tony Moreno's case deliberated Tuesday and early Wednesday before reaching the verdict, the Hartford Courant reports. He was also found guilty of risk of injury to a child.

His son Aaden died in July 2015.

Moreno — who jumped from the Arrigoni Bridge into the Connecticut River in apparent suicide attempt — faces up to 70 years in prison.

Moreno, 23, has alleged that he never planned on killing the boy, only himself.

Whenever President Donald Trump�s motorcade rolls through town, it inevitably attracts

a series of cheers and boos from people watching it roll by.

But things got a little out of hand on Friday, while Trump�s motorcade was rolling through

West Palm Beach, Florida, and was stuck by an object that had been thrown from the crowd,

the U.K. Daily Mail reported.

After an investigation, five middle school students confessed to throwing a piece of

wood and a rock at the motorcade.

Now, those students could be charged.

�While assisting the United States Secret Service with a motorcade movement for President

Donald Trump it was reported that a vehicle in the motorcade had been struck by what was

believed to be a small hard object,� said a statement released by the Palm Beach County

Sheriff�s Office.

CNN reported that the incident happened as Trump�s motorcade was traveling from the

airport to his Mar-a-Lago resort.

One vehicle in the motorcade was struck by the objects that were thrown.

No one was injured and none of the vehicles sustained any major damage, The Washington

Post reported.

It is unclear if these students had a political motivation for throwing things at the motorcade,

or if they were just a bunch of idiotic kids who thought it would be cool to say they threw

something at the president of the United States.

Unfortunately for them, they will likely be charged for what they did, and will have to

deal with the consequences of their actions for the rest of their lives.

These kids� parents should have raised them with the understanding that you don�t throw

things at vehicles � especially if those vehicles happen to contain the most powerful

man in the world.

The search for life just leaped forward with a new discovery

Seven Earth-sized planets around the star Trappist-1

Only forty light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.

Could these planets have water or life?

We don't know yet.

Here's what we know:

The seven planets closely orbit a dim red star.

Which is one of the smallest and coolest M dwarfs known.

Scientists debate if M dwarfs are good places to look for life.

But life around a cool red star could look very different from life on Earth.

On a Trappist-1 planet the sun never rises or sets.

Half of the planet is day and half is always night.

A year lasts 1 to 20 days.

The sun would loom up to six times larger in the sky

And daylight would be red-orange.

If planets grew there, they might look red or black.

Scientists will continue to search for signs of life with future telescopes.

Jimmy Kimmel considering retiring from late-night show - Duration: 2:26.

The curtain could come down on Jimmy Kimmel's late-night career in the not-so-distant future.

The "Jimmy Kimmel Live" star, who is set to host the Oscars this Sunday, is already considering retiring from his popular ABC talk show — and could do so in as soon as three years.

"I know I will do the show for another three years," Kimmel told Variety in a new cover story. "It's possible that will be it. My wife's pregnant.

At a certain point, I'd like to have a little more free time.

I have very little free time as it is."

Kimmel, 49, often spends as many as 70 hours per week working on his late-night program, with the host's obligations including re-writing his monologue and exhaustively researching the stars he brings on the show, according to Variety.

In addition to hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live," the comedian serves as an executive producer for the show and typically arrives at the studio at 9 a.m. They don't shoot until 5 p.m., and he often continues to prep for future shows once he finishes recording an episode.

"I think this job is a grind, and best-cast scenario, a marathon," Kimmel told the magazine. "I want to go out on my own terms. If I ever feel like we're repeating ourselves, I think it's a good indication that it's time."

"I will miss it when I go," he continued. "Television is changing quickly. I get a lot of offers to do a lot of different things."

Kimmel has hosted his ABC show for the past 14 years. He said when he does decide to walk away, it won't be to join another late-night program.

Long before that day comes, however, Kimmel will help close out awards season on Feb. 26 by emceeing the Academy Awards, which air on ABC.

Other shows in the past two months — particularly the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards — have featured considerable political commentary, but Kimmel won't commit to continuing that trend just yet.

"I don't know if we'll feel like we're past that stuff or if there will be some new crazy thing we're all talking about — my guess is that there will probably be some new crazy thing we're all talking about, so it really depends largely on what's going on that week," he told The Hollywood Reporter of his monologue earlier this week.

"I would definitely make those decisions the day of or day before as to how much material I do and what my spin on it."

Julie Andrews nearly died filming her own stunts in 'Mary Poppins' - Duration: 1:15.

Julie Andrews was really up in the air in "Mary Poppins."

The 81-year-old actress told Stephen Colbert over the weekend that she nearly died doing her own stunts for the 1964 classic film.

"There was a very dangerous day right at the end of filming when I was in this excruciatingly painful harness," she told Colbert.

The actress went on to explain that she felt her harness drop a few inches while she was hanging up in the air with the iconic umbrella, so she asked the crew to let her down gently.

"I plummeted to the stage," Andrews said.

"I did. And there was an awful silence for a minute and I did let fly with a few Anglo-Saxon four-letter words, I have to admit."

Seven newly discovered Earth-sized planets could support life - Duration: 1:11.

A NASA space telescope has revealed seven earth-sized planets that could have life-supporting conditions under the right atmospheric circumstances.

"This discovery could be a significant piece in the puzzle of finding habitable environments, place that are conducive to life. Answering the question 'are we alone' is a top science priority and finding so many planets like these for the first time in the habitable zone is a remarkable step forward toward that goal," associate administrator of the agency's Science Mission Directorate in Washington Thomas Zubuchen said in a press release.

At roughly 40 light years away, or 235 trillion miles, the newly discovered planets aren't all that far from earth.

The new finding were published in the journal Nature and announced on Wednesday during a news briefing at a press conference at NASA Headquarters in Washington.

Fire breaks out across main Dakota Access Pipeline protest camp hours before evacuation deadline - Duration: 2:13.

Fires began cropping up across the Dakota Access Pipeline protest site in Standing Rock, North Dakota early Wednesday morning just hours ahead of the Army Corps of engineers' deadline for protesters to vacate the area.

Those still at the camp, called Oceti Sakowin, must be cleared out by 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to the evacuation order.

The Army Corps cited health and safety risks, saying the melting snow could flood the area and contaminate nearby rivers if human waste and other debris aren't cleared out soon enough.

At least four structures were set ablaze as snow began to fall on the protest camp in Southern North Dakota between the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation and the pipeline route, CNN reported.

One of the protesters told the news station the tents at Oceti Sakowin — named for the Seven Council Fires (or tribes) making up the Sioux nation — were purposefully set aflame as a part of a native tradition.

At its peak in December, the camp, located on federal land near the Missouri River, was busy with thousands of Native Americans, military veterans, environmental activists and other protesters fighting construction of a 1,172-mile oil pipeline near Standing Rock's Sioux reservation.

The tribe has argued the $3.8 billion pipeline — set to bring crude oil from the North Dakota's Bakken oil patch through the Midwest and into the Gulf Coast — violates their territorial rights from an 1851 treaty, noting it threatened the tribe's water source and cultural sites.

The fires come as authorities prepare to shut down the camp in advance of spring flooding season.

Protesters have also warned federal authorities have not fully considered the pipeline's environmental risks.

The group received a brief victory from Former President Barack Obama when his administration and the Corps in December announced it would explore other routes for the pipeline away from the reservation. But President Trump last month signed two executive actions that allowed the construction of the controversial Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines to continue.

Several protesters told MSNBC they'd vacate the area as per the Corps' request, while others said they intended to stay and be symbolically arrested.
