Youtube daily report w Jan 18 2018

• From forming a schoolyard gang to being a little too into Sonic, the Planet Dolan

crew re-enact some of the best true stories from our subreddit about our cringiest school

memories. I'm Pringle and today I'll be your narrator.

Number 10 was submitted by dangermouse_dolan SpinalPalm

In high school SpinalPalm was in a class that was full of girls. One day they had to give

a speech but the only other guy in the class was away. SpinalPalm was nervous, but he got

up in front of his class full of girls and began his presentation.

About three minutes in one of the girls decided it was appropriate time to interrupt the nervous

SpinalPalm and call out, "Hey, your zipper is down!" SpinalPalm looked down and zipped

it up as quick as he could. But it was too late: the whole class was already giggling

at him. He had to suck it up and finish his presentation but by that point he was so shaken

up that his voice and body were trembling… Looking back on that memory, he wishes he

could punch his former self!

Number 9 was submitted by Dave_the_Skeleton09 Cidius

Cidius's cringiest school memory happened on the last day of the school year. The whole

school was in the auditorium listening to boring speeches when suddenly the entire fifth

grade came on stage to give a surprise hip hop performance.

Cidius's jaw dropped as a tidal wave of cringe swept over him. The fifth-graders were

performing the Flo Rida song 'My House', except they'd rewritten the lyrics to be

about school life. They called it… 'My School'. There was bad rapping and cheesy

choreographed dancing. It was like an awkward, beautiful car crash. Cidius had never face-palmed

so hard in his whole life.

Number 8 was submitted by SmolToxin Melissa When Melissa was in middle school her school

made a very embarrassing attempt to appeal to its students. It was like one day the teachers

said: 'Hey! I hear kids today are really into Emojis! We should throw lots of Emoji

crap at them!' What followed was the most embarrassing fundraiser

Melissa has ever seen… The school went Emoji crazy, displaying Emojie artwork, giving Emoji

charms and pillows for good behaviour and changing fries in the school cafeteria into

Emoji fries. The aim of the fundraiser was to get kids to follow the school's Snapchat

account but the whole thing was so cringey it almost turned the students off social media

forever…

Number 7 was submitted by TurtleMode004 Hellbent Hellbent's cringiest school memory was that

time he and four of his friends formed a gang. They called themselves the Tactical Toasters™

and would patrol the school grounds wearing bandanas over their faces. They made some

cringey homemade badges and would hang around the playground giving other kids a hard time.

Looking back, Hellbent realises he was just a cringey asshole…

Number 6 was submitted by taverdoo Nixxiom Nixxiom's cringiest school memory happened

when he was in grade six. He had this huge crush on a girl in his class, but had no game

whatsoever. Every time she looked in his direction, Nixxiom would turn his head away really obviously

and refuse to make eye contact. It was so bad that sometimes he'd stare at a wall

while walking down a corridor just to avoid looking at her!

Obviously Nixxiom's crush noticed his and one day she straight out asked him: "Why

do you never look at me?" Nixxiom was trying so hard to be cool that he shrugged his shoulders

and said, "Uh… I dunno, babe. Because I'm bored." The girl took this as a sign

he didn't like her and basically never talked to him again. Luckily Nixxiom has gotten a

lot better with the ladies since then…

Number 5 was submitted by Pink-Hearts Spincess When Spincess was in third grade she was too

afraid to go into the girl's bathroom by herself because she thought it was haunted.

One day in the middle of class she really needed to go so she asked the teacher if she

could be excused to use the bathroom. Of course, everyone was in class at that time so the

bathrooms were completely empty. Spincess was terrified of going in alone so she just

walked around the hallway trying to find the courage. In the end she couldn't do it,

so she just walked back to her classroom still busting to pee.

She couldn't ask to go to the bathroom again so she just sat in her chair trying desperately

to hold it in. In the end she peed in her chair and was sent to the principle's office

for a change of pants. Spincess was so embarrassed and cried when the other kids made fun of

her. Looking back, she can't believe she was ever scared of a stupid toilet…

Number 4 was submitted by Bitey_Bat Danger Dolan

In the fifth grade Dolan had a cringey friend who was way into Sonic games. This friend

was OBSESSED with everything Sonic and was always talking about the games and the characters.

It got so bad that when Dolan's class held a talent show, the kid went on stage in a

terrible homemade Sonic costume. His entire 'act' involved running back and forth

across the stage, shouting: "GATTA GO FAST!" At the end he tried to do a flip but ended

up leaping off the stage into the auditorium. He fell straight on his ass and the whole

school laughed at him. After this performance Dolan had to seriously reevaluate this friendship.

It's why he now prefers Mario to Sonic…

Number 3 was submitted by boyfightcookout Grgak

Grgak has never been the most socially graceful person. But looking back one particular memory

from high school makes him cringe. He was on this way to the cafeteria when he passed

a girl from one of his classes. Grgak was in a good mood that day so he decided to pay

her a compliment. He opened his mouth and the words: "You're really pretty for someone

fat!" came spilling out. The poor girl was shocked, and the other students

around them stared at Grgak like he had something wrong with his brain. Grgak immediately put

his hands to his mouth and rushed straight out of the cafeteria. It was not his finest

moment…

Number 2 was submitted by irwin98 Zaraganba In middle school Zaraganba was one of the

first kids in his class to get himself a girlfriend. One day she invited him over after school

to have a bounce on her trampoline. It was going great when she decided to go inside

and get them some drinks. Zaraganba decided to stay outside and keep jumping. He realised

he really needed to fart so he said to himself, "Hey! Why not let one out now while she's

still inside…" Unfortunately when he went to let one rip

the force of his bouncing caused Zaraganba to shit his pants. He could smell it instantly:

it was the unmistakable stench of shit. Zaraganba knew he couldn't face his girlfriend so

he bounced his poo-stained ass off that trampoline and sprinted home. When he thinks back on

that memory his butthole clenches up from sheer force of the cringe…

The Best Hitchcock Film He Didn't Make - Duration: 6:03.

By the early 1960s director Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense,

was practically his own brand.

"Hitchcockian" covered the full range of his trademark thrillers.

From dark, disturbing obsessions to light, sparkling entertainments.

Actor Cary Grant meanwhile was entering his fourth decade as on-screen epitome of the latter.

Glamorous adventures of immaculate stars in exotic locations

whose witty, flirtatious, deception-fueled romances

echoed the thrilling mysteries they're embroiled in.

Hitchcock and Grant had recently collaborated on their biggest commercial hit

1959's North By Northwest,

the primary reference

and reverence

for Singin' In The Rain co-director Stanley Donen's Charade in 1963.

Charade's vintage trailer shows how Donen deliberately aimed

to take classic Hitchcock tropes and blend them for his own cocktail

...or should that be "Hitch-cocktail"?

Compare the opening titles from two legendary designers

In its designs, styles, and fonts, Maurice Binder's Charade sequence

clearly draws on Saul Bass's groundbreaking work on Vertigo,

North by Northwest,

and Psycho.

Thankfully, Charade isn't content to stay a faithful Hitchcock tribute act,

and has a lot of fun spoofing what it loves.

It also doesn't shy away from mocking the age-gap relationship

that its then nearly 60-year-old male star

regularly had with his much younger leading ladies.

Though to Cary Grant's credit, he recognized this in Charade

and insisted on Audrey Hepburn's character doing the chasing.

"Look I know it's asking you to stretch your imagination"

"but don't you think you can pretend for just a moment"

"that I'm a woman?"

"Now listen I could already be arrested for transporting a minor above the first floor."

Hepburn herself, not the preferred Hitchcock blonde,

never worked with the master.

But she proves here to be a perfect foil for this kind of deluxe, blackly comic caper.

Arguably even more of a style icon

and yet still a deft enough performer to be able to switch from screwball

to serious at the drop of a Givenchy hat.

And she could certainly hold her own with Grant in the traditional

sexually charged, romantic banter.

"Oh, knock it off. Now come on, listen to me."

"Oh, here it comes, the fatherly talk."

"You forget I'm already a widow."

"And so was Juliet at fifteen."

"But I'm not fifteen."

Even getting away with a riff on a famous North By Northwest line of dialogue.

"Roger O. Thornhill. What does the 'o' stand for?"

"Nothing."

"Do you know what's wrong with you?"

"No. What?"

"Nothing."

Elsewhere Charade stylishly finds multiple other points on the North By Northwest compass.

Up-and-coming or class-act character actors as ruthless villains.

The same actor in a colorful supporting role.

And a MacGuffin, the plot device or object that is ultimately unimportant,

that actually has a clever twist here.

But Charade's biggest homage of all is its use of Cary Grant.

Grant's made four films with Hitchcock.

The first two Suspicion and Notorious

toyed with a more sinister side to his debonair appeal

something Donen's film also briefly flirts with.

But Charade mainly takes its cue from his two later Hitchcock collaborations

showcasing peak Grant charm offensives.

Yet there's another North By Northwest in-joke that Donen doubles,

in fact quadruples down on.

Grant's character's shifting identities.

"Did you call me Kaplan?"

"I know your a man of many names, but I'm perfectly willing to accept your current choice."

"What's your name?"

"Peter Joshua."

"Dyle. That's his name."

"Sorry, the name's Adam Canfield."

"What's your first name today?"

"Brian."

"Brian Cruikshank."

It's North By Northwest and Charade's sharpest gag that Cary Grant

the singular personification of suave sophistication

could ever be mistaken for anybody else.

...Or are they actually subtle critiques

as to whether someone as perfect as Grant appears could ever really exist.

Speaking of impersonations, ultimately North By Northwest still stands as an unique example

of Hitchcock on seemingly effortless, peak form.

To use, as just one example, its iconic action sequences alone.

Charade simply can't compete...

then few, if any, other movies can.

But in terms of a then contemporary film attempting to recreate

and even knowingly tweak the master's formula

the combination of Hepburn, Grant, Donen, and company helps make

Charade about as potent a substitute Hitch-cocktail as a shot of the real thing could ever be.

Figure Skating | Preview Pyeongchang 2018: Stories To Watch | Olympic Winter Games - Duration: 6:53.

Pyeongchang 2018 - the stories to watch.

Figure skating.

Figure skating is the most graceful sport

at the Winter Olympics,

matching elegance with intense concentration,

pinpoint precision with spins, throws and jumps,

all on blades barely wider than a fingernail.

There are five disciplines in figure skating.

The men's and ladies singles events consist of both

a two minute 50 seconds short programme

and a free skate that lasts up to four minutes and ten seconds

for women and dancers,

and 4.5 minutes for men in pairs, with scores that

reward technical elements and artistry.

Unlike the pairs,

the dance event features three programmes.

Throws are forbidden and distance between skaters

kept to a minimum.

The team event combines scores from one programme

in each of the four events.

In Pyeongchang events will take place in the area's

Coastal Cluster, in the Gangneung Ice Arena,

which will also host short track speed skating.

The venue is very close to the sea,

giving spectacular aerial shots.

One of the showpiece venues,

the Ice Arena can host 12,000 spectators.

There is also a second rink on site.

It sits in a very popular area of Pyeongchang 2018.

Which Olympic gold medallist in figure skating has her star

on Hollywood Boulevard?

(FIND OUT AT THE END)

(YUZURU HANYU, JAPAN)

The reigning world and Olympic champion, Japan's Yuzuru Hanyu,

will be favourite to win gold again in Pyeongchang.

His father named him Yuzuru to indicate a tight bowstring

that symbolises strength,

though he has also acquired a sense of style and grace.

In 2016 he played a samurai lord in the movie

Magnificent Nine, but he also has a fondness for

the cuddly character Winnie the Pooh,

and often receives stuffed Pooh Bears at competitions.

Yuzuru's home rink in his native city of Sendai

was badly damaged by the tsunami in 2011,

and he has raised more than ten million yen to help rebuild it.

(JAVIER FERNANDEZ, SPAIN)

Spain's Javier Fernandez is a two-time world champion

and five-time European champion

looking for his first Olympic medal at age 26.

He is Spain's only male single skating Olympian since 1956.

Javier is a fan of the Real Madrid football club,

and of his countryman tennis star Rafael Nadal.

His parents are a mail carrier and an army mechanic.

At one time or another he has trained full-time in Canada,

the US, Russia and Latvia, and admits to frequent bouts

of homesickness, especially for his mother's cooking.

His Canadian coach Brian Orser

is a two-time Olympic silver medallist.

In the all-time Olympic medal count for figure skating,

in fifth place is Great Britain with five gold medals.

Austria seven gold medals.

The Soviet Union next with ten gold medals.

Russia in second place with a total of 27.

On top of the table sits the United States

with 49 total medals, including 15 golds.

(NATHAN CHEN, USA)

Nathan Chen became the first skater in history to land

five quadruple jumps in one programme

when he won the US Championships in 2017.

Every single one of the top six, top ten even,

men are really pushing the limits.

Technically, in terms of their jumps, we're all throwing four,

five quads out on a long programme,

which three years ago was completely unheard-of, so the

men's in general have taken huge bounds technically,

and that's kind of the direction

that we're going right now.

The youngest of five children,

Nathan also trained in ballet and gymnastics.

He began skating at three

after watching his brothers play ice hockey.

He tried his hand at guitar, piano and violin,

and plans to enter medical school

after his skating career.

(EVGENIA MEDVEDEVA, RUSSIA)

Evgenia is unbeaten in ladies competition since November 2015

when she finished second at the Rostelecom Cup in Germany.

Since then the Russian has won two world titles

and broken 11 world scoring records for performances

that match skill and style.

She often performed jumps with one hand over her head,

a technique pioneered by Olympic champion Brian Boitano.

Evgenia's mother was also a figure skater,

though she took the surname of her maternal grandmother.

Evgenia is a fan of anime and a student of languages.

(DID YOU KNOW?)

When was the first figure skating event

held at the Olympics?

Well, that was in London 1908 at the Summer Olympics.

Ulrich Salchow won the gold medal.

These days his name is famous

due to the jump named after him.

(ALIONA SAVCHENKO AND BRUNO MASSOT, GERMANY)

Medal contenders Germany's Aliona Savchenko

and Bruno Massot are quite the international pair.

The 33-year-old Savchenko formally represented her

native Ukraine, and Massot represented his native France.

They are both coached by the great British ice dancer

Christopher Dean.

Aliona's father was a competitive weightlifter.

She won five World Championships with her previous

partner Robin Szolkowy, whose father was from Tanzania.

Last year she married Briton Liam Cross.

Bruno's previous partner, Daria Popova,

was originally from Russia.

(TESSA VIRTUE AND SCOTT MOIR, CANADA)

Canadians Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir

are back as favourites in ice dancing after

winning gold and silver medals at the last two Olympics.

Tessa is a psychology major at the University

of Western Ontario.

Scott comes from a skating family.

His aunt paired him with Tessa when he was ten

and she was eight.

And both have been partners ever since.

Tessa and Scott filmed their own TV show together

while training for the Sochi Olympics.

(GABRIELLA PAPADAKIS AND GUILLAUME CIZERON, FRANCE)

Gabriela and Guillaume could be the most formidable

challengers to the Canadians, having won world titles in 2015

and 2016 when Virtue and Moir were not competing.

In November they became the first dance team to

amass 200 points, at the Cup of China competition in Beijing.

They have skated together for 13 years, first teaming up

when Guillaume was ten and Gabriela was nine.

Which Olympic gold medallist in figure skating

has her star on Hollywood Boulevard?

Sonia Henie, Norway.

The 1928, 1932 and 1936 ladies singles Olympic champion.

(FIGURE SKATING)

The glamour event of the Games begins on opening ceremony day.

12 days will have figure skating competitions.

Day eight will decide the men's singles competition.

On day 14 the winner of the ladies singles will be decided,

which always brings huge interest.

On the final day of competition is the gala exhibition.

The figure skating at the Games is always memorable

and Pyeongchang 2018 will be no different.

The Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang set to begin

February 9.

OUR CRINGIEST SCHOOL MEMORIES | Dolan True Stories - Duration: 7:54.

Why Don't Humans Have Penis Bones? - Duration: 4:31.

[♪♩INTRO]

If you only clicked this video because you saw the words "penis bones": welcome.

I hope you learn something.

Penis bones — a literal bone inside a penis, aka os penis, or a baculum — are a totally

real thing, and they're a legit scientific topic.

You may not be familiar with them, though, because no matter what anyone might claim,

humans don't have them.

Very rarely, someone will form a bone in their penis because of a buildup of calcium, but

that's not a true baculum.

Plenty of other mammals, though, do have a baculum: mice, cats, your dog...

In fact, it's probably easier to list out the mammals that don't have them than those

that do.

Even tiny pikas have real bone down there.

So do our closest relatives, chimpanzees.

And some female mammals even sport a baculum equivalent called a baubellum, which is a

clitoral bone.

Just a handful of primates, including spider and woolly monkeys, are like us.

So, what happened to our penis bones?

The question has puzzled scientists for years, and may say more about our sexual practices

than you'd think.

The first thing you might notice about bacula, if you took a bunch from lots of different

animals, is how diverse they are.

Some are small, like the length of a fingernail.

Others are massive, like one extinct walrus's 1.5 meter penis bone.

That record-holder sold for $8,000 at an auction, an amount that was actually considered disappointingly

small.

Bacula also differ wildly in shape.

Some are relatively straight, while others look like hooks or even tridents.

Biologists think the baculum is the most diverse bone in the entire body, and they seem pretty

important for reproduction.

But exactly how they're important isn't so obvious.

One idea is that penis bones help stimulate ovulation, which is when females release oocytes,

or egg cells, and are capable of becoming pregnant.

While humans ovulate spontaneously, many mammals, including ferrets, cats, and mice, are induced

ovulators, meaning they ovulate only once they've had sex.

The only problem is, having a penis bone doesn't correlate so well with being an induced ovulator.

Cats, for instance, which are notorious induced ovulators, have much smaller bacula relative

to their size than dogs and wolves, which are spontaneous ovulators.

Another possibility is that the penis bone makes it easier to get inside the female's

vaginal opening.

But that's also problematic, because penis bones aren't more common in species with

bigger size differences between males and females.

So, in a study published in 2016, two anthropologists decided to get to the bottom of the bacula

mystery by looking at the evolutionary biology behind the penis bone.

They thought a third possibility, known as prolonged intromission, was more likely.

It had been tested before, although the earlier results had been mixed.

Really, "prolonged intromission" is just a technical term for very long sex.

A longer penetration time prevents the female from going off and having sex with other males,

so the male's sperm is more likely to fertilize an egg.

As you might expect, a bone is useful for this purpose because it can basically act

as a supportive rod.

It keeps everything safely erect, including the urethra, which is important because that's

how the sperm get where they need to go.

The researchers found that for primates, longer sex times correlated with having a baculum,

and with how long the penis bones were.

Generally, once animals had evolved long intromission times, or anything more than three minutes,

they kept their penis bones.

It's when those times were short that species lost them.

Including us.

Because yes, scientists have studied this, and the typical penetration time is only about

two minutes.

All in all, the team concluded that bacula evolved some 95 to 145 million years ago — after

the evolution of the first placental mammals, but before primates and carnivores split.

So bacula were the default for our ancestors.

They also noticed that primates that were seasonal breeders or polygamous had longer

bacula.

This goes along with idea that bacula are most helpful in species facing high postcopulatory

sexual selection, where there's competition from other males' sperm.

Experiments in polygamous house mice, where researchers varied the level of sexual pressure,

found that they could actually change the mice's baculum length over 27 generations.

When the mice were under more pressure, their penis bones got wider.

Humans, though, have much less of this sexual pressure, in part because we're mostly monogamous.

Monogamy evolved in early humans millions of years ago, and might have contributed to

the loss of our penis bones.

We just didn't really need them.

But don't worry.

We appear to have compensated in other ways for our missing bones, at least in terms of

making sure sperm can get through.

The human penis has a piece of connective tissue called the distal ligament, which helps

keep it stiff enough for sex — no bone necessary.

At least, not a literal one.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow, and for more on how sex contributed to our

evolution as a species, you can check out our video about the sex lives of early humans.

Don't Skip These 5 Steps on Your Way to the Top - Duration: 4:14.

Success is not a place, it's a process, so learn to grow with it.

From a distance, success can seem like a target destination, a place like a corner office,

a fine hotel or an impressive mansion.

And once you finally get there, everything is perfect, right?

For those who've already arrived at what most people consider success, it's something

a bit more fluid and ephemeral.

You can have all the accouterments of success and still not really feel it inside—you

get the mansion or the corner office and realize it's not all that you hoped.

It's also possible to feel success for a moment, and then, poof, it's gone again.

Over the years as chairman and CEO of Rodale, I've learned that success is a continual

process, not a final destination, and it requires a Zen-like openness and appreciation for life

and everyone in it to truly feel the effects, both inside and out.

(Although I'll admit the freedom to travel and stay at nice hotels is my favorite tangible

benefit of success.)

Sometimes, success is simple.

Today it was setting a timer for 15 minutes and making cleaning the kitchen a game with

my 8-year-old, which saved me an hour of nagging to help with chores.

Yes, it's the little things.

True holistic achievement requires a sense of service, love and passion that come from

deep inside of you.

Here are five steps that can't be skipped on your way to success—or ignored once you

get there:

1.

Find what your passion is and tap into it.

You can do this by meditating or going on a vision quest.

You can seek counseling or hire a consultant.

You can fall into it by accident.

Whatever you do, you must find it and keep finding it over and over again.

It's not a one-time process—it's like a fractal that keeps expanding and growing

and evolving.

2.

Commit to serving others.

Truly, serving others—your customers, employees, fans, the needy—is one of the most important

steps, because no matter what else happens, if you do this one thing you will find a peace

within you that no jewel or yacht can compare.

Success is service.

3.

Have faith when you are most discouraged and keep everyone around you focused and motivated.

Not every day is a good day, and not every year is a good year.

What can you learn from those setbacks, and how can you keep moving forward no matter

what?

Finding faith is key and goes right back to the first two steps: If you believe you are

doing something important and know that it's helping others, well then… keep going.

4.

Take care of yourself.

Take Bruce Springsteen as an example of success.

His shows take an incredible amount of energy—and spread joy and happiness throughout the world.

But as an artist, he also needs to stop and breathe.

At 63 years old, he keeps healthy and fit in order to gather the inspiration to write

songs and the spirit to perform.

It's a cycle that should be respected.

Take care of yourself, and allow yourself to rest and recover to make sure you have

the strength and energy to do it all again, to be your own kind of rock star.

5.

Celebrate your success and generously share it with others.

Every time you share your success and the results of it with others, you're planting

seeds for future success.

Because success isn't a one-and-done thing.

It is like a garden—it has seasons of brilliance and dormancy and must be cared for and maintained.

And shared.

Energy Update – Reminder To Remain Teachable - Duration: 5:57.

Energy Update Reminder To Remain Teachable

by Meashenu,

I have felt & encountered the energy recently around the cup being too full issue.

I was asking what I could do to help in this matter and writing this article as a reminder

is the answer that came to me.

Most of the cup too full energy has come from ones that claim they are already

in 5d and that they dont need to know anything else because they already know everything.

So they mostly go around trying to state their opinions to showcase their knowledge

with a very egoic energy.

Generally Ive noticed that their answer and suggestions to someone asking for help

& going through a hard time are Well just raise your vibration and be of love and light

and you wont have that problem. They talk about Oneness and claim to have achieved

a level of consciousness, all the while their energy is speaking something else entirely.

Although I highly agree that we should all be of love and light & raise our vibration,

I also believe that someone who is going through a (tough) situation that could use some actual

techniques and understanding doesnt need to be told that as a solution.

They are working through something and part of their process cant involve snapping

their fingers all the sudden to instantly embody 5d consciousness.

Most of the people who have the ability to be at the consciousness level of Love & Light

and be completely unaffected by negative energies dont need to be told that either since

they are already embodying it.

The first month I had my intense spiritual awakening my ego was out of control and I

was in that state of my cup was already too full.

I found out later this was due to a past life that had surfaced that needed clearing which

I did.

During that time I had reached out to a couple of spiritual people through emails, who were

shamans.

Both experiences were very hard for me because in both cases the shamans said I was throwing

negative energy at them and that my cup was too full, there was nothing they could teach

me.

At the same time my shadow self had surfaced and I had to do some extensive work there.

Hearing the shamans tell me very bluntly that they could not teach me was a huge lesson

for me.

I was broken up about it, but I did come out of that having cleared what I needed to, as

well as a great reminder to always remain teachable.

Everyone on the planet has a story we havent heard and something they can teach us.

This includes the plants and animals as well.

We can talk to a tree and learn something new.

Another part of this issue I have seen is the issue of getting TOO wrapped up into finding

out EVERYTHING on your own.

I do agree that we should find answers ourselves directly within our own hearts.

However I also recognize that We Are All One and messages and lessons can come from anyone

or anything at anytime.

Its ok to ask for help and get help from others, even the ones embodying higher consciousness

still ask for help and give gratitude for all of the help that is given to them.

So if you are too caught up in ONLY receiving messages and knowledge from yourself, you

may miss something that was right in front of you.

You may miss seeing a shadow aspect or mirroring aspect that is presenting itself.

By refusing to look in that mirror you are only doing yourself a disservice.

When I started feeling or running into this energy of Cup Too Full I did some reflecting

myself to see if this energy was mirroring something that I needed to look at within

myself.

If you are in a Facebook group, online, or anywhere interacting with other people, there

are always countless opportunities to grow if you pay attention.

Did someone say something that pissed you off or upset you?

Take note of what that was so you can ask yourself why it bothered you and see if there

is more there to look at.

You may have had a nasty experience with someone.

If that is the case try to see the lesson in that experience and view it as an opportunity

to grow from it.

I was recently in the grocery store and at the checkout line the cashier had mentioned

to me about other customers talking about cooking meals in an Instant Pot.

I thought this was weird at first, but when I got home it felt that him saying that was

a message coming from my higher self and guides through that person.

They worked with his guides & higher self to tell me that, so that I could look into

an Instant Pot for cooking more variety of Vegan meals much easier.

Although this isnt some life changing information, it is a good example of how a message can

come through from someone else and how we can be a catalyst for others to receive messages,

sometimes without us consciously recognizing it.

Could I have received this message myself directly from my guides/higher self?

Yes, but it happened this way to be a reminder to me of Oneness and how messages can come

from anyone & anywhere, at anytime.

The greatest spiritual teachers are the ones that have never relinquished their title & role

as a student.

They still view themselves as students and are learning & experiencing new things all

of the time.

They radiate love & gratitude for the wisdom and knowledge they gain.

They recognize we are all one, and that everyone and everything is them and they are everything

and everyone.

They can easily put themselves in the life and situation of another because they see

that they are them in that situation and life, as well as in their own.

Love & Light

Prevent a Frozen Brake Cable - Duration: 1:34.

[Music]

When we build our brake cables, many of our cables have a plastic coating on the actual metal cable.

We'll put a small little wiper here, like a cleaner, to actually clean that material off as that cable's going in and out.

Every time you apply your parking brake, this cable slides back and forth.

Now, let me say this, some people use their parking brake all the time, especially if you have a manual transmission or if you live on a hill.

But some people never use their parking brake.

I'm going to say this...

If you don't use your parking brake all the time, and you apply it maybe after a couple of years you've owned the vehicle, it might not release.

In this case, we have two cables that go to each wheel.

One cable is frozen and one is not.

So we applied the brake and I was watching the cables. This one is frozen and the one over here is not.

Now, that means we will have to replace that cable on this particular vehicle.

But what I'm trying to say here I guess is if you use it, continue to use it.

If you don't use it, if you're going to try to apply it and see if it works or not, do it at a shop

Maybe have your mechanic put it up in a lift, you apply the parking brake. That way if it does stick, he can unstick it and replace the cable.

Soccer/ Football Transfer Window: Winter of 2018 Dates (Europe & USA) - Duration: 8:15.

What's up guys, and thank you again for watching another episode of footballers advice in today's video

I'm going to go over the winter transfer window for 2018 and for all my new subscribers out there I'm going to first break down

What the transfer window is and then give you a list of dates for each country in terms of when their transfer window is

That way you can better prepare if you want to go knock on doors overseas

Or if you want to attend a couple of these combines located here in the United States or some of these European

Showcases as well so first

What is the transfer window the transfer window is a

specific period of time that allows teams to transfer players to their team

Either it be from the higher leagues or the lower leagues and then also other leagues

Around the world and the dates for this transfer window is

regulated by that country's Football Association now

There are some rules and regulations that allow teams to sign players after the transfer window

But because I don't know those specifically I'm not going to speak on that because I don't want to give you guys bad information

So as a general rule of thumb make sure that when you're trying out, or you're contacting these

professional soccer or football teams you're either doing it before the transfer window or right when the transfer window begins

This is because it gives you more time

For teams to either assess your skills and see if they want to sign you and then also if they do want to sign you

it gives them more time to fill out the paperwork needed if you're a foreign player a

Foreign player is anyone who does not hold that country's citizenship, so if you're a dual passport holder

And you have one in your home country, and you have one in Europe

That's great because this allows you to be signed easier and quicker

However, if you just have a passport in your home country, and you go overseas to another country, maybe like somewhere in Europe

And you're from the United States

It's going to take a lot more time because that country has to apply for a work permit or a work visa in

Order for you to play soccer or football in their country so remember you want to make sure that you do everything

Before or during the beginning of the transfer window that way it gives you more time the benefit of also

contacting and trying out for teams

Before or during the beginning of the transfer window is let's say the team's not interested in signing you after you go on trial

Well if you're abroad overseas, and you're already in that country

why not take the extra time that you have before the transfer window ends to go knock on a couple more doors and see if

You can try out for other teams maybe that team isn't interested in you

But maybe they also know another team or a coach that needs a player

This is a great way for you to maximize your time when you're abroad overseas

Another thing to remember as well guys is when you're contacting these teams

And you think there may be a lot of roster spots available

There actually may not be as many as you think this is because during the transfer window a lot of teams already know who they

want to bring in either before the season starts or maybe they need some help during the middle of the season and they need a

goal scorer

and Maybe they know of a player in the lower leagues that they can bring up on loan or even someone from the higher leagues that

They can bring down on loan another thing to remember about the transfer window is that there's two

Transfer windows within a given season there's one at the beginning of the season and then also in the middle of the season

now for countries like Scandinavia, which includes

Sweden Norway Finland, Denmark and Iceland

their transfer window the very first one is actually in the winter because their season starts

right around May and April

And then it goes all the way until October and so the second transfer window for them would be during the summer

This is around the middle of July to the middle of August the same also applies for the US

they're on the same schedule and season as

Scandinavia so their first transfer window is in the winter and the second is in the summer

And then if you look at other countries like Germany Italy Spain and England

Their transfer window the first one is actually in the summer

And then the second transfer window for them is actually in the winter so again guys remember if you're going to attend any of these

combines or European

Showcases that third-party companies do in order to go over to Europe and showcase yourself to other teams or even if you want to go

Overseas like I did in Sweden and just knock on doors and ask for opportunities

You want to make sure that you're doing it either before or during the beginning of the transfer window

That way it gives you more time and that way you can actually be signed by professional teams so with that being said guys

Let's go ahead and look at the dates for each country's transfer window within Europe and then also the United States so the first transfer

Window we have in Europe is Belgium and their transfer window is from January 1st to January 31st

Then you have Denmark which is January 5th to January 31st

Germany which is January 1st to January 31st

France which is January 1st to January 31st

Greece

January 1st to January 31st

Italy which is January 3rd to January 31st

Luxembourg which is January 1st to January 31st

Malta which is January 2nd to January 31st

The Netherlands which is January 3rd to January 31st

Austria which is January 1st to January 31st

Spain which is January 1st to January 31st

Turkey which is January 4th to January 31st

England which is January 1st to January 31st

Scotland which is January 1st to January 31st

Wales which is January 1st to January 31st Northern Ireland, which is January 1st to January 31st

Gibraltar which is January 1st to January 31st Portugal which is January 3rd to February 2nd

Ireland which is December 1st of

2017 to February 22nd of

2018

Estonia which is January 2nd to March 1st

Lithuania which is January 1st to March 1st

Latvia which is January 2nd to March 2nd Norway, which is January 8th to March 31st

Sweden which is January 8th to March 31st

Serbia which is January 15th to February

11th

Switzerland which is January 16th to February 15th Finn which is January 17th to April 10th

Croatia which is January 18th to February the 15th the Czech Republic which is January

26 to February 22nd Poland which is February 1st to February 28th

Iceland which is February 21st to May 15th

Cyprus which is January 1st to January 31st and Russia which is January

25th to February 24th in the United States, which is February 7th to May 1st of

2018 what I will also do is leave in the description

Box all the dates that I listed just in case if you had a hard time

Hearing what I said, and so that wraps up the transfer window dates for Europe and the United States for

2018 I hope you guys gained some really knowledgeable information about the transfer window as well that way when you guys go over and knock

On doors or if you attend any of these combines or European showcases that you're more educated and you know hey

maybe this

combine or European Showcase is maybe too late in the transfer window and it may not give me the best time to sign for a

team

Maybe instead I go overseas and I knock on doors asking for those tryouts or maybe there's a better

Combine or trial to attend that way you can maximize your time and sign for a professional team as always guys

Thank you again for watching another episode of footballers advice and I will see you in the next video. Thank you!

Basset Hound Dog Crochet Tutorial - Duration: 36:20.

Hello everyone, thank you for joining me. Today I'll be showing you how to make a

dog. It looks to me like a basset hound. I'll be doing it in these colors today.

The materials I'll be using today are four ply crochet cotton, but you could use

wool if you prefer. I've got a chocolate brown for the main color and cream for

the contrast. I've got black for the nose and the inner eye, and white for the

outer eye. And I'll be doing a tongue, so I've got a pinky colour. I've got my

thread and sewing needle to stitch it together, but you could use your cotton

if you'd prefer. I've got scissors, I use a 1.25 millimeter crochet

hook and a darning needle to weave in my ends. Now I'm starting with the head, and

my brown, and I make a magic loop, and work three chain and fourteen double

crochet into my circle.

I pull the circle tight, and slip stitch into the third chain. For row two I work

three chain and work one double crochet in the same place as the chain, and then

I work two double crochet into each stitch around. So I'll continue around

this row and I'll meet you at the end. We join with a slip stitch into the

third chain. Now rows three, four, and five are worked the same. We start with three

chain and work one double crochet in the same place as the chain, and then one

double crochet into each of the next two stitches, and two double crochet into the

following stitch, and we repeat that all the way around. One double crochet into

each of the next two stitches, and two double crochet into the following stitch,

all the way around, and then slip stitch into the third chain. So that's for rows

three, four, and five. So I'll complete up to row five and I'll be back. At the end

of the fifth row, after I've joined with a slip stitch I fasten off,

and I've got quite a large circle. I'll start on the muzzle now. I start with a

magic loop, and work two chain. Into my circle I work four half double crochet,

three double crochet,

five half double crochet,

three double crochet.

Pull my circle tight and join with a slip stitch in the second chain. For row

two I start with two chain, and work one half double crochet in the same place as

the chain, and then work one half double crochet into each of the next three

stitches,

two half double crochet into the next stitch, and then two double crochet into

each of the next three stitches.

Next I work two half double crochet into the next stitch, and one half double

crochet into each of the next three stitches, two half double crochet into

the next stitch, and then two double crochet into each of the next three stitches,

and then I join with a slip stitch in the top of the chain, the two chain. For row

three I start with one chain, and I work a single crochet into each stitch around.

So I'll work around this row and I'll meet you at the end. At the end of the

row I slip stitch into the chain and fasten off,

and that's the muzzle. For the paws, they're both worked the same. I start with eight chain,

and work one double crochet in the fourth chain from the hook, and then work

one double crochet into each stitch to the end.

For row two I start with three chain and I work one double crochet into each stitch.

So I have the three chain and five double crochet.

For row three I start with three chain, and turn, and I work a joined double crochet into

the same stitch as the chain, and the next stitch, and then work three chain

and slip stitch into the same stitch as the last double crochet, and then slip

stitch into the next stitch and then I work three chain, and work a joined half

double, sorry a joined double crochet into the same stitch as the chain and

the next stitch, and then work three chain, and slip stitch into the same

stitch as the last double crochet, and then I slip stitch into the next stitch,

and work three chain and work a joined double crochet into the same stitch as

the chain and into the top of the chain from the beginning of the previous row,

and then I work three chain, and slip stitch into the same stitch as the last

double crochet, and fasten off. And I work another paw the same, and that's the

paw. I'll do the marking for the face now. I

start with nineteen chain.

I miss the first four chain and work one treble into each of the next seven

stitches,

one double crochet into the next stitch, and one half double crochet into the

remaining seven stitches.

Then I work two chain, and slip stitch into the same stitch as the last half

double crochet.

Work two chain, and work a half double crochet in that same stitch as the last

slip stitch. Now I'm working along at the back of the chain. I work one half double

crochet into each of the next six stitches,

one double crochet into the next stitch, and then one treble into each stitch

until the end, and also into the top of the chain at the beginning of the row,

and I fasten off. And there's the face markings done. For the nose I'm using

my black. I start with a magic loop, and work a chain, and then work three single

crochet, three double crochet,

three single crochet,

and three double crochet into my circle.

I pull the circle tight and slip stitch into the chain and fasten off.

For the inner eyes I've got my black and I make a magic loop, and work one chain,

and six single crochet into my circle.

I pull the circle tight, and slip stitch into the chain, and fasten off.

I'll need two of those. For the outer eyes I've got my white, and I make a

magic loop and work two chain, and work eight half double crochet into my circle.

I pull the circle tight and slip stitch in the second chain, and fasten

off. I'll need two of those as well. For the body, which is this part here, I'm

using my main colour, my brown. I start with a magic loop and work three chain, and I

work eight double crochet into my circle.

I pull the circle tight, but I don't join. I've got a half circle. I work three

chain, and turn, and I work one double crochet in the same place as the chain,

and then I work two double crochet into each stitch across.

For rows three and four, I work three chain, and turn, and work one double

crochet in the same place as the chain, and then work one double crochet in the next

stitch and two in the following stitch, and I'll repeat that across both rows. So

one double crochet in the next stitch and two in the following stitch across,

and then three chain, and turn. So I'll work those two rows and I'll be back. Now

that's the four rows of the body. I'll fasten that off.

I don't work the tail until I'm putting it together. I'll work the ears now. They're

worked the same until I work a row of neatening around them, a single crochet. I

start with the magic loop, and work three chain, and one double crochet into the

circle. I pull the circle tight. For row two I start

with three chain, and work a double crochet in the same place, and a double

crochet into the top of the three chain.

For row three I start with three chain, and work one double crochet into the

same place, one double crochet into the next stitch, and one double crochet into

the top of the three chain. For row four I work three chain, and turn, and work a double

crochet in the same place as the chain, and one double crochet into each of the

next two stitches,

and a double crochet into the top of the chain. The next row I start with

three chain and work a double crochet in the same place as the chain, one double

crochet into each of the next three stitches,

and then a double crochet into the top of the chain.

For row six I start with three chain, and work a double crochet in the same place as the

chain, and then one double crochet into each of the next four stitches,

and a double crochet into the top of the chain. For the next three rows we just

work three chain, a double crochet in the same place as the chain, the first stitch,

and then one double crochet into each stitch across. We're not working into the

top of the chain anymore.

So two more rows like that.

So we have our three chain and six double crochet.

For the next row we work one chain and work one single crochet into the same

place as the chain, and then one half double crochet into each of the next two

stitches, and then one double crochet into each of the next two stitches. Into

the next stitch we work two treble

and then we work two treble into the top of the chain, and that just makes it

bend out.

And that's the ear. Now I'm going to do a row of neatening. So for this ear I

don't turn I just do my one chain and work a single crochet into each stitch

around. For this ear I turn it over and then work one chain and work a single

crochet into each stitch. That way my ears face a different way. So I'll work a

row of single crochet around my ears. Now there's the ears done, with turning

the second one over to do my row of single crochet neatening they face the

different way. Now I'm going to do a tongue. You wouldn't have to do a tongue if

you didn't want to, you could just embroider in a mouth. Now I've got my

pink and I make a magic loop, and work two chain, and then I work a two half double

crochet cluster into my circle, just like that.

I pull the circle tight, and fasten off.

Now I'll make another paw, and another set of eyes, and weave in my ends, and

I'll be back and we'll put it together. Now one of the first things I do is I

stitch the face marking onto the head. Just the thick edge against the edge and

coming down evenly. I'll stitch the nose onto the muzzle and also embroider in a mouth,

and I'm going to stitch the white dots on to the eyes. Next I attach the paws to

the head. I just slip them under there and stitch around behind, just as evenly

as you can, just a bit of a gap between.

I attach the inner eyes to the outer eyes. I just have a bit of white around

on one side, and the tongue to the mouth. I just squash it up in there and stitch

it in. The next thing I'll do is stitch the body to the head. It just goes in

like that, in behind the head, and also the muzzle to the head. It slightly

overlaps the marking and it can go a bit lower than the head, just in like that.

Now I'm going to put on a tail. I join my cotton about here, and I work fourteen chain.

I work a slip stitch into the second chain from the hook, and then a single

crochet in the following stitch. Now I work two half double crochet into each

of the next two stitches,

and one double crochet in the following stitch. Now I'm going to work one joined

double crochet over the next two stitches,

one treble in each stitch until I get to the last two stitches.

Now I work a joined treble over the last two stitches,

and then slip stitch into the body, and fasten off.

Now I'll attach the eyes, and weave in my end, and I'll be back. The last

thing I do is attach the ears. The ears point out and attach just towards the

top of the head, so that they come down just slightly above the feet. There's

the finished dog. If you liked my video please like, subscribe, and share. I'm also

on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter. The details are in the

description below along with the details of my website, if you'd like to get the
