Youtube daily report w Apr 5 2017

The purpose of this application

excellence video is to give you a brief

overview of how R-mer edge snap on

coping cap is installed. While the

techniques shown here may be applied to

most projects this video is not

comprehensive to cover all situations we

encourage you to contact Garland

engineering with any questions. This is a

list of the standard tools needed for

R-mer edge coping installation. The

primary components are the coping cap,

splice plate and anchor chairs. Coping

components also include; inside and

outside corners and transition pieces.

Accessories used with the coping

includes fasteners, caulking and foam

spacers. This installation video features

products which require work along the

roof perimeter. On most projects fault

protection equipment and observation is

required. It is the installers

responsibility to ensure all federal

state and local safety protocols are

followed.

Let's start with a brief review of how I

coping is sized up. Measure wall with

every two foot to three foot along

entire wall length to establish minimum

and maximum wall widths. When filling out

an order form right and left-hand

notations may need to be made. Left and

right hand notations are taken from the

roof area and not the ground. The reason

is, coping is installed from the roof

edge and the common left and right hand

orientation would apply during the

installation procedure. In combination

with varying wall widths these unique

conditions can easily be addressed with

welded transitional miters. The size,

material and attachment of the coping

cap is ultimately determined by ansi/spri es-1

approvals. Building Code requires

ansi/spri es-1 testing for all metal edge

systems. Note that a 6-inch face and

foreign rear leg dimensions are the

maximum lengths allowed by es1 testing.

Any dimensions less than these qualify.

Large face dimensions need to be created

with a face extender.

Wall top surfaces must be inspected

prior to the pre-bid meeting to

establish a reliable scope of work and

therefore reliable pricing. This will

prevent the surprises of hidden

conditions that will affect the

project's budget. Although the parapet

does not need to be perfectly level it

does need to be relatively level within

reason and capable of providing adequate

support for the coping chairs. For flat

or level wall tops this is a standard

product application. In this case we have

uneven wall top surfaces which will

require shimming to achieve a level

mounting surface. Typically

three-quarter-inch plywood or wood

blocking is used to establish a level

surface. In an effort to control costs we

are often asked can we shim and level

just at the anchor chairs? Initially this

seems like a good idea, but from a

practical point of view, handling all the

individual shims and leveling each

condition can prove to be more time

consuming than shimming and levelling

the complete wall. With continuous sheets

of plywood it is easier to handle these

large pieces than many individual pieces

also the continuous nailer offers the

flexibility of positioning the hanger

chairs at any location.

As in all cases, be aware of the pre-punched

holes in the anchor chairs. These holes

provide guidance for the fastener

locations and pilot holes for

pre-drilling of masonry or concrete

either port or precast. To be ansi/spri es-1

compliant, anchor cares must be

fastened according to the coping test

approval. The pre-punched holes in the

anchor chairs are located according to

that es1 approval. Fasteners must be

installed at these locations to be

compliant. Check the crate for all

components and for any damage before

signing for the delivery. The following

is the typical list of ordered materials.

Apply a watertight underlayment to

provide temporary water protection for

sudden rain storms. For most applications

of 40 mil self-stick membrane is

an adequate underlayment. Nail the

membrane for additional securement.

Read all installation instructions prior

to installing the coping. Review the

relationship between the anchor chair

splice plate and coping stock length.

Please note the anchor chairs are 16

inches in length and the splice plates

are 6 inches these chairs provide

support at both coping ends and add the

copings mid stock length. Install the

half anchor plate on one side of the

parapet for increased support. Position

the splice plate so it is centered on

each end of the welded corner. Install

the anchor chair into the splice plate

and welded corner miter. This is the

complete corner assembly. Place the

corner assembly into position and secure

at the exposed edges of the anchor

plates using fasteners provided. Please

note: large walls may require more than a

half anchor plate or a custom anchor

plate with modifications or custom

springs. Pull a masonry layout string

from the front of each of the corner

miter anchor chairs to locate the front

layout line for the remaining anchor

chairs along the parapet. This wall has a

slight bow inwards and this layout line

will allow us to position the anchor

plates to a straight and true line.

Typically the anchor chairs are spaced

at 60 inches on center for higher up

lift capacity the anchor chairs can be

spaced at 40 inches on center

for those shorter coverage areas anchor

chairs will be equidistant, but not

further apart than spacing specified.

Fastening co-chairs with two screws into

the top of the parapet towards the

inside phase in two screws to the

outside face please note all fastener

holes have been pre-punched to properly

locate the fasteners for compliance with

ansi/spri es-1 testing reports.

Tapcon screws must also be used based upon

this testing. The next step is

preparation of the coping cap and splice plate

for installation. Prior to

installing the coping cap remove the

protective plastic film. Wipe splice

plates clean for application of the

butyle tape. Install one strip of butyl

tape approximately one inch off the

center line of the splice plate. This

butyl tape will provide a guttering

system to channel water away from the

face into the rear of the coping. Then

center the splice plate at the end of

the 10-foot coping section. Install foam

blocking only on the intermediate anchor

plates that do not require splice plate

assembly. Engage or hook the copings

front drip under the coping chairs front

kick out of the anchor chair.

Position coping stock lengths to allow for one

quarter inch gap at the abutting coping

joints. Rotate coping until the hook

snaps over the inside leg of the anchor

chair. Check to be certain the coping

rear leg is fully engaged along the end

and intermediate anchor chairs. Repeat

steps for the remaining length of coping

allowing one quarter inch joint between

coping for expansion

4th for Vergne, 5th for Bird, 6th for- oh! And there's an accident

in there! Into the back of Lucas di Grassi! Di Grassi will

hope he hasn't picked up too much damage there.

Oh, his rear wing's gone!

Oh, big lock-up! And da Costa is not getting that one stopped,

is he? As he flies on at Turn 1, tries to rejoin the circuit,

everyone avoids.

Double yellows! What's happened up here?

I think it's just for some bodywork on the circuit.

Oh, and there's a crunch as well for Jérôme d'Ambrosio.

I'm amazed he can't pass! And here come the FanBoost from

Sébastien Buemi. Here comes the outside look-

oh, he's lost it and he's gone! López bins it at Turn 1! What a shame!

And Buemi bins it with him! Incredible!

Buemi was trying to overtake around the outside!

Goodness me.

And here comes Nico Prost! He hits him!

Round goes Heidfeld, pirouetting in the stadium!

And then a shunt! And the two teammates hit each other!

Mitch Evans is caught up in all of that as well!

They all get going. That's gonna be a safety car,

and that could clinch the race for Lucas di Grassi!

We gave up going there.

It is not possible.

Very successful day

Very very good day

The Most Terrible Things Mario Has Ever Done - Duration: 5:54.

Mario is a hero, right?

Savior of the Mushroom Kingdom, beloved by millions.

Who doesn't crack a smile when they see this?

"It's a-me, Mario!"

Don't be fooled.

Underneath that red hat and bushy moustache lies an absolute monster.

Okay, maybe not an absolute monster.

But Mario's got a few drybones in his closet when it comes to being kind of a videogame

creep.

In fact, Mario's penchant for cruelty has been right in front of our faces for decades,

and it's time we called it out, for all to see.

Super Mario Odyssey, Mario's next big opportunity to redeem himself, will be out in winter 2017.

Let's review why Mario has been a menace for over 35 years.

Animal cruelty

Donkey Kong's reign of terror against Mario isn't just the big ape giving in to his animal

nature.

Sometime before the events of the original Donkey Kong, Mario ran a circus, and his pet

Kong was the main attraction.

In the Game & Watch title Donkey Kong Circus, players control a captive Donkey Kong while

a menacing Mario watches.

Kong is forced to roll left and right on a barrel, juggling pineapples while also avoiding

fireballs.

Just look at Donkey Kong's face.

Every moment of this is pure torture.

Sooner or later the player — and therefore Kong — is going to mess up, and that's when

Mario's cruelty is on full display.

When Kong drops a pineapple or gets scorched by a fireball, Mario heartlessly points and

laughs.

This is animal cruelty, plain and simple.

No wonder Donkey Kong wanted revenge.

Cruel and unusual punishment

Speaking of that revenge … after Mario saves Pauline from Donkey Kong's clutches, he locks

his nemesis in a cage and takes him prisoner.

That's understandable, considering the big guy just kidnapped his girlfriend.

But when Kong's son tries to save him, Mario goes...well...full-on supervillain to try

and kill a baby ape.

In Donkey Kong Jr., Mario sends vicious bear traps, killer birds, and living electric sparks

on a mission to maim and murder the young gorilla … while his horrified father watches

from his cage.

That's why it's so satisfying to see Papa Kong kick Mario square in the face in the

game's final cutscene.

Pow!

Right in the moustache.

Brick buster

You've seen Mario shatter blocks, right?

Aside from jumping, it's pretty much his signature move.

What if we told you every time that Mario breaks a block, he's actually taking a life?

It's true.

In the manual for the original Super Mario Bros., Nintendo explains that when the Koopa

invaded the Mushroom Kingdom and took Princess Peach hostage ...

"... the quiet, peace-loving Mushroom People were turned into mere stones, bricks" and

something called "field horse-hair" plants, which appears to be a mistranslation, since

Nintendo changed it to "mushrooms" when the game was re-released in Super Mario All Stars.

But the part about them getting turned into bricks?

That didn't change.

So every time Mario leaps into the air and punches a brick, he's killing one of the very

civilians he's set out to save … or consuming them in mushroom form to grow into "Super

Mario."

If there's a coin inside the block, it's even worse.

In those cases, not only is Mario murdering mushroom folk, he's robbing their corpses,

too.

Not a good look, Mario.

Mario the Lothario

For a short, fat guy with ill-advised facial hair, Mario really gets around.

After Donkey Kong, Mario ditched Pauline for Peach, and while she's been his main squeeze

ever since, Peach isn't the only princess in Mario's life.

In Super Mario Land, he enjoys a brief fling with Princess Daisy.

That's right: the woman who's portrayed as Luigi's boo in games like Mario Tennis, NES

Open Tournament, and Mario Kart actually made her big debut as Mario's side piece.

In Super Mario Land, after besting the evil Tatanga in a one-on-one dogfight, Mario and

Daisy hop into Mario's plane for a romantic cruise through the clouds.

In the end-game cinematic, Mario and Daisy embrace, and a single heart floats above their

heads.

Face it, folks.

Mario is a player...and a terrible brother.

Brotherly shove

If anyone has suffered at Mario's hands, it's his brother Luigi.

When there's a second player around, Luigi works just as hard as his older sibling, but

gets nowhere near the credit.

And when Luigi finally got to star in his own adventure for the first time?

It was a dreaded "edutainment" game — with Mario's name, not Luigi's, in the title.

What a slap in the face.

Even worse, in Super Mario Sunshine, Mario, Peach, and some Toads go on vacation, but

don't even invite Luigi.

So, when Luigi finally wins it all in Mario Power Tennis, the celebration is a long time

coming — until Mario ruins it.

First, Mario crashes the stage, Kanye-style, then he slaps Luigi on the back a few times...before

doing this:

What a sicko.

Watch your back, Mario.

Luigi is coming for you.

Dino-slaughter

Imagine, for a second, that you are Yoshi.

You and your family worked to return two lost babies to their parents, even though the little

ones are being chased by monsters and they make the most annoying sounds of all time.

Decades later, an evil turtle in a flying clown head takes over your homeland, captures

your friends, and locks them up in castle basements all over the world — and turns

you into an egg.

Later, a human saves you — and it happens to be the same little boy you rescued so many

years ago, all grown up and able to fend for himself!

Amazing!

You'd think, maybe, he'd treat you with a little respect, right?

Wrong.

Want proof?

Throughout the series, Mario jumps off of Yoshi's back while his dino pal is jumping,

letting him do a sort of mega jump.

That's good for Mario, but often works out pretty bad for Yoshi, given that the dino-sacrifice

usually happens while the pair are hovering over a bottomless pit or a pool of lava.

Don't let Mario off the hook by assuming Yoshi magically comes back to life, either.

As Yoshi's Island confirmed, there are many, many Yoshis out there, so that twisted creep

Mario is probably just offing them one by one until there are none left.

Mario's taste for mayhem is clearly insatiable.

The Fixies ★ The Thermos and The Electric Train ★ Fixies English 2017 | Cartoon For Kids - Duration: 11:44.

Can you believe that Fixies are Such itty-bitty creatures?

Even when they're magnified It's hard to see their features.

They're tiny, infinitesimal, So small it makes you doubt.

But if you meet a Fixie, please, Don't let their secret out!

The Thermos

Where should I put it?

Put what, Tom Thomas?

Oh! It's you!

My ice-cream.

Are you joking?

Eat it!

I can't.

Tom Thomas, are you alright?

I'm fine.

It's just that it's a present for my mom.

Today is Mother's Day.

Then you need to go give it to her!

I can't.

Dad and I are going to congratulate her together.

What's your dad is going to give her?

I don't know.

But when he gets back home,

the ice-cream will have melted!

Then put it in the freezer!

And what if Mom looks in there?

And finds it?

The surprise will be ruined.

So where won't she find it?

I'll tell you where.

Inside of your dad's office.

I don't see any place to hide it here.

There's no freezer or anything!

Why don't you take a look inside the box.

Here's a thermos.

But what good is it to me?

Thermoses are for keeping things hot.

The ice-cream will melt in there!

It will not.

A thermos is made by putting one bottle inside of another.

Between the bottles is an empty space. And that's the secret of a thermos.

That space stops heat from getting out or in.

So if there's hot tea inside,

the empty space doesn't let the heat from the tea get out.

And if there's ice-cream in the thermos,

the space stops the heat that's outside from getting in.

And that's how a thermos keeps hot things hot and cold things cold.

That's it!

I'll go and play for a little while.

He didn't even say thank you. Did he, Nolik?

Where are you? Nolik?

I'm here!

Where?

In the thermos!

What are you doing in there?

I wanted to see that vacuum you talked about.

Just don't touch anything!

And don't even think of licking the foil!

The ice-cream's so cold, your tongue will stick to the metal!

What did you say?

Already stuck?

Uh-huh.

Try to unstick it.

Well? Is it working?

And what if you breath onto the foil?

Hang on, Nolik!

I'll go and get Tom Thomas!

Winter is a wonderful time of year!

Holidays,

presents,

snowballs,

skates,

sleds…

But the cold is also something serious that you shouldn't fool around with.

The most important thing is to dress warmly:

cover your head with a hat, and your throat with a scarf.

Then there's less chance you'll catch a cold or get a sore throat.

And to keep you hands from getting chapped,

don't forget to wear gloves.

And never walk around in wet shoes in the winter!

That's a sure way to get yourself sick.

And there's one more thing I want to tell you.

It's great to have fun in the cold, but use your head!

Don't eat snow or stick your tongue on metal fences, poles or doorknobs.

Your tongue can get stuck so strongly to the metal

that it will be very hard to get off.

I wish you all a glorious winter!

Tom Thomas!

Nolik's tongue got stuck!

Where?

In the thermos! Hurry!

I'll explain everything later.

Dad, you're already home?

Dad, why are you taking my present?

What do you mean your present?

I mean this one.

Since when did it become yours?

Oh, hi there!

What's the fuss all about?

Oh, it's nothing at all.

I have a surprise for you.

I want to wish you a Happy Mother's Day.

A thermos!

How wonderful!

Thanks so much!

Is there something in here?

I don't think so.

Inside there's a present from me!

Vanilla ice-cream!

My favorite!

And how did that end up in there?

Thank you so much, my sweeties!

Nolik, you got me so scared!

Thank goodness you thought of turning into a screw inside of there.

Does your tongue hurt?

Do you think you can talk again?

I can talk.

That's good.

We better hurry.

We still need to go and wish our mother a happy Mother's Day.

And you should too!

They take care of our machines, Irons, phones, and toasters,

MP3s and TV screens, Even rollercoasters!

Without them clocks stop ticking; Without them lights go out!

But if you meet a Fixie, please, Don't let their secret out!

The Electric Train

And suddenly the Earth is attacked

by an alien spaceship!

If help arrives here on time, we'll be saved!

Move faster, faster! Come on, get off the train! Move it, move it!

Tom Thomas, we came here to play!

Finally you're here!

I need some aliens for this game!

What kind of alien are you talking about?

Just plain old aliens.

You know the ones.

They come to destroy the Earth and just about everything!

We don't want to destroy anything at all!

Why can't we be…

the train engineers, huh?

Train engineers?

You don't know anything about driving a train.

Oh, we know plenty about trains.

Humans invented the railroad long ago,

But back then the rails were made out of wood.

People didn't start making metal rails until the end of the 18th century.

But the first railroad cars had no engines to give them their power.

Instead they used horses to pull them along.

Later, horses were replaced by the steam engine.

Wood and coal would burn in their furnaces to boil the water in their boilers

making the steam that turned the wheels.

And the Fixies were there to help those trains go,

making sure all of the parts could work together smoothly.

But now steam engines have long gone away.

The railroad uses electricity now for its power.

These electric trains race along the railway

at almost the speed of an airplane!

So you might know trains but you'll still be the aliens.

This railroad is mine,

so you gonna play the way I want.

The train is unloaded and leaving the station.

You can play Choo-choo by yourself!

And I will!

Hey!

Why did you stop?

This doesn't help either.

It's not going at all.

Simka!

Nolik!

Where are you?

Did I hurt your feelings or something?

Mom, is Dad gonna be home soon?

No. Is something the matter?

We've been attacked by evil aliens!

The train has to be fixed right away

or we'll never escape them!

You want some tea?

I've got to think of something!

Simka, Nolik.

I know you're in there!

Please forgive me if I hurt your feelings!

I'm really sorry.

There is nobody but you that can save the world from the evil aliens!

Alright, you talked us back into it.

Well, let's go and check the rails.

Nolik, follow me!

I'm faster!

Well, so much for being faster!

But it looks like I found the break!

Tom Thomas!

The rails are broken!

I know. And so?

You know? But that's why your train's not running!

Just like a real train, model trains run on electricity.

But there aren't any batteries inside the locomotive to pull the other cars.

The engine gets its electricity from the rails.

Each piece of the rail has a wire in it.

If the rails come apart,

the electricity can't flow through the track and get to the train.

And without electricity the train's engine just stops going.

So reconnect the rails and your train will run again.

Put them together.

Yes!

Hurrah! The train's running!

Way to go! So will you play with me now?

And which way are we playing this time?

Whatever you want - I'm with you!

The train rushed down the track with Nolik as its engineer,

when suddenly from out of the sky comes an alien spaceship!

Greetings to you, oh people of planet Earth!

I come from far away, from another galaxy!

Have you come to destroy everything?

No!

I've come to fix it all!

3 Money Worries and How to Fix Them - Duration: 7:43.

Hey, Gorgeous. It's Denise here from LuckyBitch.com.

I want to ask you, are you worried about money right now? Maybe you've been

worried about money for a long time and you really don't know how to deal with it

or change things for the better. You know what? There's never been a time like the present

to sort it out. I've helped tens of thousands of women with their money blocks now

and I've seen three common fears that pop up repeatedly. These are things like:

There's never enough money. I'm not good at managing money, even if I have it and

an underlying belief that it's not safe to have money. If you have any of these

money blocks, I'm going to give you some really practical techniques on how to deal

with them, plus I'll also tell you how to access a free workshop that's going to

help you manage any of those other money worries that you're dealing

with right now. Let's get to it.

Let's talk about this thing that there's every enough money. Most of us grew up

learning that money was this zero sum game. We just think there's never enough of it.

Then you add in all those constant news stories about people who are struggling

and how the world's getting worse or how family and friends freak out about money.

It's no wonder that some deep down part of you believes that there really isn't enough.

Then every time you get an unexpected bill or have a financial hiccup, it just

provides more evidence for that belief. This worry can also manifest itself in

jealously. If you worry that someone else has taken your success or everything is

already being done, then you're living in this scarcity mindset. Funnily enough,

on the other side of "There's never enough," it can also show up as a guilty feeling.

You can also worry that anytime that you experience success, somebody else is

going to have to miss out because of it. How do you deal with that feeling of never

enough? First of all, you have to voice it and acknowledge that worry. Otherwise,

it's going to always bubble beneath the surface and sneakily sabotage you.

I talk about this a little bit more in depth in one of my dealing with money posts,

which I'll link to as well. But you really have to sometimes limit the negative

news and stuff that comes out. Put some serious boundaries around negative people

or negative messages around you. Especially if you've got friends or

family who bring you down and kind of talk about money in a negative way all the time.

It's going to perpetuate it. You've got to remind yourself that there's more than

enough for everybody. More than enough ideas, clients, opportunities, et cetera, to

go around. Spend time with people who are doing well. Spend time with people

who have a good money mindset so you can have evidence that there is enough.

If you don't know anyone like that, you really have to join a mastermind group so

you can find them. Hint: there are lots of those awesome people in my Boot Camp.

Let's talk about worry number two: you're not good at managing money. A lot of

women have been told this from a really young age that they can't handle money.

I was actually really bad at math when I was at school and I needed to have a

weekly tutor to pass my exams. You know what? I still can't do simple sums

without my calculator and I do them on my phone all the time. It's never stopped

me from making money. But if you've never had money before, it's natural to

worry about messing it up or not being able to handle it. Maybe in the past, you have.

Maybe you've been in debt in the past or maybe you haven't done well when you

had money. That stuff lurks beneath the surface and it can really actively block

you from allowing more money into your life because you're worrying about it.

Here are some tips. I want you to do a money memory inventory. Look at some

of the ways you've managed money in the past. Maybe there's been times where

you wish you could have done something different. All of us have been there.

The best thing you can do is forgive yourself and let those memories go.

I'm also a big fan of EFT, i.e.: tapping. You don't have to really make a big song

and dance about tapping. You can do it discretely whenever you want, but it's a

really great way to deal with some of those money worries. Maybe you need to get

some expert help. Maybe you need a bookkeeper, an accountant or a financial

advisor. These are the people who can help you so you don't have to be perfect

with your money. They can help you with it. Let's talk about the last worry: It's not

safe for you to have money. A lot of women have this vague sense that money is going

to change them into this crazy rich bitch or they're going to lose all their friends or

something really bad is going to happen if they have more money. This worry tends

to happen more if you don't actually know any rich people in real life. If that's the

case for you, maybe you've only ever seen rich people on TV and they're all greedy,

mean bitches. The truth is, you can be any type of rich woman you like.

You don't have to change into someone you don't want to be. There are no rules.

Here are some tips for you. Seek out real life examples that contradict that image

of a rich bitch. You can read autobiographies of amazing women who use their wealth

to create positive change in the world. Or you can ask yourself what kind of rich

person would you like to be? Imagine that you had a spare million dollars right now.

What would you do with it? What causes would you support? You'll probably find

that the million dollar version of you is nothing like that spoiled rich bitch that

you're worried about. Then you can take baby steps towards being that person now.

If you want to be a super generous person when you're wealthy, look for opportunities

to do that on a smaller scale now. If you want more luxury and ease in your life,

then look for those little ways that you can bring that into your life now.

Give yourself permission to step into that and not be perfect before you're worthy of

making money. Seriously, you're already allowed to be you and to be rich.

You don't have to change at all. Here's an assignment for you. Go look in the mirror

and say, "This is what a wealthy woman looks like." It's really a bit challenging for

you and you might start to identify even more money blocks when you do things

like that. If that's the case, don't worry. I've got a free workshop for you where I

go through the seven most common money blocks and how to deal with them.

You'll be surprised about how much you have below the surface. Which means,

you can start working on your money blocks today and see the results really

quickly because we've all got blocks. You can watch that workshop at

LuckyBitch.com/blocks and start looking at some of those things that are really

holding you back from taking your life and business to that next level and creating a

first class life. Again, that's at LuckyBitch.com/blocks.

Even if you've watched it recently, watch it again because we've revamped it and you

might uncover some new layers to your money mindset. My last message to you,

as always, is it's your time and you're ready for the next step.

Mr. Speaker,

the arrogance is staggering when it

comes to this issue, but now we're seeing it

here in Parliament where the Prime Minister has decided that

question period in Parliament is nothing

more than an inconvenience for him.

He doesn't like the idea of being questioned or being

held to account for his actions.

That's why he is now trying to use his majority

power to ram through changes to the rules

of this House and the only

purpose for those changes is to make

his life easier.

Why is the Prime Minister so scared of the accountability

to face the accountability that every other prime minister

before him had to face?

The Honourable Government House Leader

Mr. Speaker, during the election campaign, we

committed to modernizing Parliament

and making it a 21st century workplace.

As direct result of the Harper

government's approach to Parliament over 10 years,

we promised Canadians we would bring a new approach to Ottawa

to ensure that their voices were also heard in this place.

In our discussion paper, we put forward some ideas

that would bring about this change.

I have been meeting with the other House leaders and I'm

hopeful that we can build off these conversations.

As promised to Canadians, we are committed to

modernizing the House of Commons.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

EASIEST SEWING PROJECT! | Unpaper Towels How to | Whitney Sews - Duration: 4:36.

Hi everyone! I'm Whitney and today I'll be showing you how to make the easiest sewing

project ever! The project is unpaper towels. Unpaper towels aren't your typlical cloth

napkins for dabbing your face at meal time. They are the cloth alternative to paper towels

for cleaning sticky kid hands, wiping up messes, washing your face and more. If you haven't

subscribed already, make sure to hit that red subscribe button down below and join the

Whitney Sews family. Now let's get into the project.

For my unpaper towels I'm using lots of different flannels from my stash that I think my daughter

will like. The easiest way to go about cutting your squares is to use a square ruler, rotary

cutter, and cutting mat. I'll have links below to the ones I'm using in case you want to

check them out. In this case I'm using a 9.5 inch square, but have a few other square rulers

that came in a pack together and each are great for different projects. You simply lay

out your fabric so it's completely flat and place your ruler on top. You can place it

near the edge to save as much fabric as possible or place it on a certain part of a design

that you want centered. Some of my pieces were scraps so I sewed two pieces together

and then used the ruler to cut out my square. Cut out an even number of squares. You need

two squares per towel. After they are all cut pair them up in twos and lay with the

pretty sides of the fabric touching and the raw edges lined up. Use pins or clips to hold

the two layers of fabric together. Then sew around starting in the middle of one side

and continue around until you get back to the side you started on. Leave 2-3 inches

open. Backstitch at the beginning and ending of your stitching to lock the stitches into

place. You can use whatever seam allowance you are comfortable with. I recommend somewhere

between ¼ and ½ inch. If your fabric slipped or stretched anywhere

carefully trim up those areas and cut off the corners making sure to not cut across

the stitching. This will help your corners look nicer when finished.

Now reach in through the opening and turn the entire piece right sides out. Use your

finger or something to poke out the corners and smooth everything out. Then go back to

the sewing machine and sew around the entire outer edge again to close up the opening and

help everything lay nice and flat. Make sure to sort of roll the edges as you go so your

seam edges look best. And that is it! So easy with only two seams and any size and seam

allowance you want to use. I made seven unpaper towels in this size.

I also made seven in a smaller size using the same process that are flannel on one side

and a soft minky on the other. These smaller ones are for my younger daughter for baths

and washing her face after meals. You can make larger ones with micro fiber or terrycloth

on one side for cleaning. I really like these microfiber towels, they are the same ones

I use in my cloth diaper inserts and overnight cloth pads.

So there you have it! Quick and easy, eco friendly unpaper towels. These are great stash

busters if you are trying to sew your stash like I am!
