Many of us just after eating go to sleep or sit in the couch and watch TV.
These are some of the bad habits which we should avoid.
The 6 things you should never do after eating are:
1.
Go to Sleep Going to sleep right after you have eaten
food causes your stomach to burn excessively through the night leading to discomfort, bloating
and sleeping irregularities.
So you should wait for a few hours after the meal to go to bed.
2.
Never Smoke When you smoke just after your meals the nicotine
in cigarettes binds to the excess oxygen that is required in digestion, which allows your
body to absorb more carcinogens than normal.
So wait at least 2 hours after eating to have a smoke.
3.
Do not take Shower When we go to shower, our body increases the
blood flow to our hands, legs, and body which in turn decreases the amount of blood flow
to your stomach.
So when there is less blood available to digest your food your digestive system becomes weak
which can cause stomach pains.
So avoid the temptation to take shower just after your meal.
4.
Eat Fruits Eating fruits is best on an empty stomach
as it allows maximum absorption.
If you eat it right after a meal, it won't be able to digest properly and can cause indigestion,
heartburn, burping, and other discomforts.
5.
Drink Tea When you drink tea right after the meal, it
interferes with iron absorption in the body.
Low iron in the body is associated with anemia which causes fatigue, weakness, dizziness
and poor appetite.
So wait an hour or so before drinking tea.
6.
Do Heavy Exercise Doing heavy exercise after eating is a strict
no.
When you do heavy exercise after eating it can cause acid reflux, nausea, vomiting and
hiccups.
So avoid exercise after your meals.
In conclusion, keep in mind to avoid heavy exercise, drinking tea, eating fruits, going
to sleep, delay smoking and taking shower after your meal.
