Five talking points from stage 10 of the Tour de France

Who can stop Marcel Kittel as he wins yet again, gets a stranglehold on the green jersey and his sprint rivals continue to falter?.

Beautiful but boring flat stages make their return The peloton on stage 10 of the Tour de France (ASO) The Dordogne region of France is beautiful: rolling terrain, green fields and châteaus in abundance.

Stage 10 offered plenty of scenic shots, no doubt to the pleasure of the local tourism board. But for the bike riders, for the TV viewers, and the commentators, it didnt make for great racing.

The outcome was so certain that only two riders made the breakaway. The peloton kept them within reach throughout, with a bunch sprint guaranteed.

These sprint stages are great at the end – and especially if youre Marcel Kittel – but it doesnt make for great spectating.

Who can stop Marcel Kittel? Marcel Kittel wins stage 10 of the 2017 Tour de France (Sunada) The Germans looking pretty unstoppable, isnt he? John Degenkolb, his compatriot on the Trek-Segafredo team, has said he is on a different planet and he cant see anyone who can beat him.

Unbeatable in bunch sprints thus far, the blonde coiffed Quick-Step Floors rider is having a dream Tour. He is timing his sprints to perfection, jumping off the right wheel at precisely the right moments, and powering away from his rivals.

His victory margin in Bergerac was, by sprint standards, massive, and it just goes to show how dominant he has been. It is the third time he has won four stages in a single Tour.

Talk before the Tour was that Kittel may well be leaving Quick-Step, potentially to join Katusha-Alpecin. You can beat the Belgian team will now be looking tie him down for many more years to come, rather than offload him.

But where are his sprint rivals? Alexander Kristoff.

Photo: Yuzuru Sunada   As outstanding as Kittel has been, there is a genuine question: is he too good, or are his sprint rivals not strong enough? Without Mark Cavendish (Dimension Data), in terms of A-class sprinters, only André Greipel (Lotto-Soudal) remains.

Given his season and talent, you could argue Dylan Groenewegen (LottoNL-Jumbo) is in that category, too. But the pair have failed to really test Kittel: Greipel has recorded a trio of third places and Groenewegen finished third today.

But Kittel has still looked far superior.

After the duo, the other sprinters, with respect, are B-class: Michael Matthews (Sunweb) isnt anywhere near one of the fastest, Alexander Kristoff (Katusha-Alpecin) is way off his 2014 form, John Degenkolb likewise to his 2015 results.

After that, Edvald Boasson Hagen is leading Dimension Datas charge in Cavendishs absence, and Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) hasnt looked near stage-winning form yet.   Dont take anything away from Kittel, but the other sprinters are alarmingly sub-par.

There are just four riders who can win the green jersey in all probability now: Kittel, Matthews, Greipel and Kristoff.

Matthews tactic appears to be bettering Kittel in the intermediate sprints and then placing as close to the German as he can in the bunch sprints. On hillier days, Matthews should sweep the board in the intermediate sprints.

But on stage 10, Kittel was determined to extend his 52 point advantage and he did.

His win (Matthews came a disappointing 13th) was allied to the fourth place he took at the intermediate sprint (the two breakaway riders collected first and second). He now leads by 102 points from Matthews, and has 125 advantage to Greipel.

Dan McLay (wearer of the Tours best helmet*) sprinted too early   With 200 metres to go, the rider heading towards the finish line in pole position was Brit Dan McLay  (Fortuneo-Oscaro).

The Leicestershire rider has been unable to make an impact in this years Tour so far, unlike in his debut race 12 months ago, but energised by that frustration, the 25-year-old delivered his best performance yet.

Unfortunately, he went too soon and once Kittel had got going, he was overtaken by the powerful German and eventually five others.

But the signs are promising – he is clearly in good shape, he just needs to time his sprint correctly. One thing McLay did win in Bergerac was the title of The Tours Best Helmet*.

He posted a picture of it on Instagram in the morning before the stage and we dont need to say anything else, other than take a look for yourself above.   *a totally fictitious award made up by Cycling Weekly.

Tim Pickett MIND RIGHTING Interview - Duration: 5:35.

- Hey, everybody, it's Joe here,

Realtor with Garcia Properties, and I'm here today

with Tim Pickett.

He has a really cool website,

and I'll let him tell you about it.

- All right, thanks, Joe.

The website's called mindrighting.com.

And basically the premise behind it was

what do you do to get your mind right?

I know a lotta people

need extra motivation every once in a while.

Some people are down in a funk, and

after a while you get,

the things that get you out of the funk, or motivate you,

get kind of, don't really work for you after a while.

So what I elected to do was, looked into

what other people do, to feel better,

to get their mind right, to motivate them.

And so I put together a platform of people

sharing stories of what they do to get their mind right.

And it's been really interesting

to see what other people do, how they're motivated.

- How long have you had those, the site?

- The site's been around a little over two years.

And we've had a lot of contributors,

and when people aren't contributing,

I'm just writing little articles about what I do

when I need a little motivation.

And it seems to be good for me as well as others.

- We were talking earlier, and you were telling me

that your goal was to set this platform

as a voice for all these people that could share motivating,

what kinda gets them out of the dumps,

what makes their mind right.

And that happened for a while, and then the creek ran dry,

and then it was like what, you?

- Yeah, exactly.

Yeah, there was a time

where, just like anything,

you wonder, is anybody listening?

Should I keep doing this?

- You've been watching this thing, yeah.

- Exactly.

And then out of the blue, I got a notice on Twitter.

Somebody I didn't know

posted something, really would like

a mind righting article right about now.

Didn't know this person.

I mean, it was like the universe fitting right in,

right when I needed it.

And jumped right back on the horse,

and started posting more articles

and sharing more stories and everything.

It was a really cool experience.

- Were you kinda hitting a dry spot?

Kinda like, I don't know if this is worth it or not?

Here's the platform, I got the party going

and nobody's coming.

- Yeah, sure,

Yeah, wasn't sure if people liked it,

if it was helping anyone,

and it seems like the people that were visiting

were watching the videos, and you could tell

by the number of views and that kind of stuff.

It was interesting, and it's been a great experience

for myself, as well as some people that have,

that have viewed the videos and read the articles.

- This whole medium, what we're doing here, is so cool,

because you really, it's like talking in a one-way mirror.

You don't know if anybody's,

so you just kinda gotta keep going,

and what you're finding probably is,

you started this to gather voices,

but you have something to say.

And what you have to say is valuable.

- Yeah, thank you, yeah.

It was really neat.

We have a lot of videos on there

where people are in their environment, their space,

where they can talk and open up

and talk about what motivates them.

We had one guy running through a trail

and talking while he's running.

And then we had another guy on a motorized skateboard.

Another person that,

that's talking about how music gets their mind right,

and they sat and played a song.

- So people can go to your site, upload a video.

To YouTube, you can shoot it on a phone and put it up there.

- Yeah, yeah.

There's a section called Wall of Faces,

and that's where you can go

and look through the videos and see

different people and their different experiences.

And then there's also articles on there

about things that I have found throughout my life

that has helped me get motivated or just get out of

a bad mood or a funk, you know.

- Do you find that it kinda waxes and wanes, right?

You're in and you're out of it.

- Yeah, it does.

- At times, do you think,

what are some plans for the future with it?

Or other, what have you thought?

- Yeah.

- Movies, motion pictures?

(laughing)

- Yeah, obviously I wanna get

as many people involved as possible,

and like we discussed before,

the people that really wanted to share their story

came out right out of the gate.

This is what I wanna do, this is, you know.

But it is also hard to ask somebody

to get vulnerable and tell

the world about what they do when they don't feel good.

That's a tough thing to ask.

- Yeah, and everybody's there.

If you're human, you're there.

- Exactly.

So sharing your stories, or watching a video of something

that helps you, and then you share that story.

That's ideally how I see it in the future.

- So, challenge for all you watching.

How do you get your mind right?

Call it whatever you want, but how do you get out of a funk?

How do you get inspired?

How do you get up, go to work on a Monday morning

if you might not like your job or something?

Or deal with the family, or whatever.

Share them, let's post this stuff,

and we'll get it over to Tim.

And I would love to hear your thoughts.

- And thanks so much. - Thanks, Joe.

- I appreciate it, thank you. - Awesome.

Stage 10 - Tour de France 2017 : Nacer Bouhanni handed fine and time deduction after apparent punch

Cofidis rider Nacer Bouhanni appeared to hit a Quick-Step Floors rider during stage 10 of the Tour de France.

French sprinter Nacer Bouhanni has been handed an 200CHF (£161) fine and deducted a minute in the Tour de Frances general classification standings after video footage appeared to show him punching a Quick-Step Floors rider during stage 10.

The Cofidis rider can be seen from an aerial shot having a discussion in the peloton in the closing stages of the race to Bergerac with an as yet unidentified member of the Quick-Step team.

Bouhanni then strikes the rider with the right of his hand, although it is not clear if he made contact with the rider.   Responding, the Quick-Step rider leans in towards Bouhanni but doesnt retaliate further.

Marcel Kittel, the green jersey wearer and eventual winner of the stage, is just behind Bouhanni but neither he nor anyone else seemed raised the incident.

The race jury are examined the footage but decided against disqualifying the rider, the punishment handed given to Peter Sagan after stage four for his crash with Mark Cavendish.

Instead, Bouhanni will have to pay a fine that has not been made public and will have a minute deducted from his GC time; however, critics will argue that this is a worthless punishment given that he is a sprinter.

Bouhanni, a maverick rider who boxes in the off-season and has said he will take up boxing as a professional sport in his 30s, has form for punching: last June he punched a wedding guest at a hotel, injuring his hand and thus missing the Tour.

Bouhannis best result so far this Tour has been fourth place on stage four; he finished sixth on stage 10.

Here's Why You'll End Up In Jail, According To Your Zodiac Sign - Duration: 5:54.

Here's Why You'll End Up In Jail, According To Your Zodiac Sign

Aries

(March 21st to April 19th)

Due to your egotistical, self centred nature, as an Aries you would go to jail for being a hired hitman.

You are the type of criminal who will fight to the very last minute to avoid jail time, using your competitive and athletic arrogance to

try to outrun the authorities before being taken down by six cops.

Taurus

(April 20th to May 21st)

As a Taurus you are incredible sneaky and intelligent.

You would go to jail for money laundering.

Your determination and your greed will work together to make you very successful, but your tendency to get lazy will essentially lead to

your capture.

Gemini

(May 22nd to June 21st)

A Gemini would go to jail for fraud, as they are known to be the sign that most con artists and thieves are born under.

The act of stealing someone's identity, or tricking people into trusting you, will bring you a sick kind of joy,

but your ego will cause you to brag to the wrong person, and they will turn you in.

Cancer

(June 22nd to July 22nd)

Cancers are known to be the most dangerous sign in the Zodiac.

As a Cancer, you would go to jail for passion killings.

Your crimes are usually violent, and centered around how sensitive and unstable you are.

It wouldn't be difficult for the police to catch you, as you tend to kill those close to you,

in very personal areas like a shared home or a dorm room.

Leo

(July 23rd to August 22nd)

As a Leo, you are obsessed with attention and drama.

You would commit a crime just to get recognition for it.

Your fifteen minutes of fame would be worth the jail time, and you'd probably turn yourself in or lead the police to your doorstep in order

to make the whole thing that much more tragic and theatrical.

Virgo

(August 23rd to September 22nd)

If you're a Virgo, you would be in jail for hacking into important computers and databases.

You are nosy, and love knowing what is going on in the lives of others.

Virgos are known to often be proclaimed as innocent, and it is likely that you would never end up in jail.

Libra

(September 23rd to October 22nd)

For a sign that is often considered to be the most just, Libras are also considered to be some of the most corrupt criminals in the Zodiac.

As a Libra, your fair nature would lead you to become a cop, but your shady tendencies would turn you into a mole.

Scorpio

(October 23rd to November 22nd)

Scorpios are known for being the most sadistic sign of the Zodiac.

As a Scorpio, you would be in jail for being an assassin, as you are very cunning and very impartial to something as gruesome as murder.

A lot of the time, a Scorpio will be the brains behind larger crimes, using people as puppets and pawns in their game.

This would lead to being turned in by a scorned partner.

Sagittarius

(November 23rd to December 21st)

Though volatile and unforgiving, a Sagittarius still can't bring themselves to hurt another person.

Due to that timidness, they would most likely go to jail for theft.

However, as a Sagittarius you are extremely hard to pin down, so it is likely that you would never even end up in jail.

Capricorn

(December 22nd to January 20th)

Capricorns are controlling and conceited, and often have their hand at many different crimes.

From petty theft, to sadistic acts, the Capricorn is considered to be an all around criminal.

With so many things going on, you would most likely slip up or forget to tie loose ends, leading to your capture.

Aquarius

(January 21st to February 18th)

As an Aquarius, you are clever and charismatic.

You are the con artist poster child, luring people in with your charm, and hustling them right under their nose.

You would go to jail after your vengeful nature gets the best of you, and you start messing with people who know you well enough to catch

on to your scams.

Pisces

(February 19th to March 20th)

Pisces are known for being an extremely dark sign in the Zodiac.

They are extremely self destructive, and would most likely be in jail for petty drug related crimes.

Due to your personally harmful nature, as a Pisces you would end up being picked up by the police on the side of the road and thrown into

jail for possession.
