How do you describe this?(12) (Vocabulary Building) [ ForB English Lesson ] - Duration: 2:14.

Hi, everyone!

Welcome back to another lesson here at ForB's English.

I'm Gabriella and in today's lesson you're guessing what's happening in the video,

so let's take a look.

So can you guess what's happening in the video?

You may have guessed that she's finding something on the map,

but today I would like you to express this in a different way:

the verb phrase beginning with "l",

so what's happening in the video?

What is she doing?

Well, she is looking it up on the map.

Now this is a typical expression when we are finding something on a 2D surface,

especially a map or you may look something up in the dictionary, like an English word,

but in this case, she is looking up a place on the map; a very useful expression,

especially if you are going travelling.

So let's practice this phrase a little bit now.

Please repeat after me.

She is looking it up on the map.

Excellent.

Let's try it one more time.

She is looking it up on the map.

Excellent!

Great job.

So next time you go traveling or you need to find a new place

that you haven't searched before, you can say "I'm going to look it up on the map."

Good luck everyone.

Please like this video if you liked it and remember to subscribe to our channel.

See you next time.

Arsenal will challenge for the league if they repeat Chelsea performance - Glenn Hoddle - Duration: 2:13.

Arsenal will challenge for the league if they repeat Chelsea performance - Glenn Hoddle

Arsenal finished the Premier League campaign in fifth place, outside the Champions League qualification places for the first time in 20 years.

But they won the FA Cup by beating champions Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley at the end of May, to stop Antonio Contes side from winning the double.

The Gunners have already recruited left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke on a free transfer but Hoddle thinks a change in attitude is needed rather than personnel.

For me its not about who they bring in, I think theyve got a really good side, former Tottenham and England boss Hoddle said on ITV.

The change is an attitude change, they need to change their attitude.  If they get close to playing how they did in the FA Cup final against Chelsea, they will be right up there again challenging.  Every player was on it that day, on the ball and off the ball.  Thats what Arsenal havent had.

Theyve got good players, theyve got very good players still there and if they keep this squad, they might add to it but personally I dont think they have to add that much, its an attitude change.  If they all play like they did there, for the manager that day, they were excellent against Chelsea.  They caught Chelsea on the hop and Chelsea didnt know what hit them for long periods of the game..

CONSUMER MARKET VS INDUSTRIAL MARKET - Duration: 5:45.

so what's going on in this video I'm going to be talking about consumer

market vs industrial market how they're different how they sort of

compare and examples of them certain products within that sort of industrial

or consumer market so let's go ahead and get right into this

I got a PowerPoint for this set up I did this a couple years ago set this

PowerPoint up and I thought it would be useful for making this video so first

let's get into it okay so what is a consumer market a consumer market is a

market that creates and sells products and services to individual buyers

instead of selling to a business so this would be like your normal average day

consumer and not some big huge business like we're not trying to sell to a Apple

a Disney and McDonald's or Burger King anything like that we're trying to sell

to just a regular person that's working their job like for instance McDonald's

we're not trying to sell to businesses that's not our goal while we can cater

to businesses the main goal of McDonald's would to be just sell to the

average person who's going to work and then getting their dinner and going home

but my example that I had for this was Best Buy it's got thirty three point

seven percent of the consumer electronics market which is a huge

market and with Best Buy they mainly target Millennials Cosmos Millennials

are studying in college right now we're just getting out of college and

Millennials right now are using that technology in a way to where they can

really put themselves ahead of the game against everyone else and one product in

particular is the Intel Core i5 laptop and I've got a marketing mix right here

for that and the price of this is $59.99 and it is exclusively at Best Buy

stores only so you can only get this at Best Buy which is huge for Best Buy once

again they are here hold 33.7% of that market share and some of this could be

why because they have laptops like this that are exclusively at their store and

a promotion when I made this PowerPoint they were actually doing a promotion for

Best Buy that sold the product $150 off and they were advertising this in

newspapers online and I think even in a couple commercials so that was one way

to say we're really promoting this and doing a marketing mix for the laptop

itself and that is sort of a consumer market and just the basics of it right

there all right let's get into an industrial market an industrial market

is a market where business market goods and services to other businesses instead

of individual buyers so this is where we're selling to those big companies and

those businesses so like let's say you're a lumber company and you're

selling to a Home Depot so they can get your product and sort of sell it as

their own in some way and one example of this is Siemens they're an industrial

electronics market and they have 12.1 percent of that market share which is

pretty good and the target market is for massive large-scale companies focus on

expanding with technology and sort of going into the new age of where you have

to have technology sort of event in everything to make your business what it

is and one example I had of this is the

technological advances in Walt Disney World so what they were trying to sell

the Disney was advanced technology and I could not find an exact price on this I

couldn't find the cash amount anywhere the Disney paid but I do know that there

is promotion and promotion was one thing with this is

that at the end of every firework show in Epcot in Walt Disney World

after the fireworks on the huge Epcot ball spaceship earth

they just project the entire Siemens logo right onto that ball and that is

the hugest advertisement I've ever seen is that they just project that onto a

giant ball and also of course while they're announcing the fireworks and

everything that's sort of how they're doing it is when they announce it

they'll say this fireworks show presented by Siemens so that was the

example of a consumer market and an industrial market and really how to

separate the two so let me know what you guys think can you give me some more

examples of industrial markets because they're not as common as the consumer

markets and I will see you guys in the next video

you

Why Are Silent Films Creepy? | Darkology #0 - Duration: 8:31.

Hey everyone Blue here!

The following episode of Darkology was originally part of a crossover collaboration I worked

on awhile back!

It was a special secret episode that you could only watch if you followed a special link

to it, but seeing as that link will soon be broken, I wanted to share it here, especially

for any new viewers who might've missed it.

Enjoy!

There's something dreadfully creepy about watching an old film from the days of early

cinema.

Even if the film isn't necessarily a "horror" film, and even if you love old cinema- there's

a very subtle feeling of the macabre that is unshakable.

Just look at films like Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, or The Phantom of the Opera.

I know.

They're all "horror" films, so it kind of follows that they'd be inherently creepy.

But that's not what I'm referring to.

Intended to be a melodrama, The Man Who Laughs is an example of a film that reads as a horror

when it isn't, simply because of the gloomy and harsh makeup visuals.

He Who Gets Slapped is another silent film intended to be a drama, though depending on

whether you have coulrophobia, very much might be the scariest thing you've ever seen.

The way that the lighting constantly fluctuates in and out in the stark contrast of black

and white.

The near-stop-motion-esque frame rate at which the actors move.

It all feels like a weird black and white dream that we're viewing through a large

zoetrope, where anything could happen.

But to better understand the psychology behind our uneasiness with old film, we'll need

to first take a look at the infant days of an innovation in art: the photograph.

<hold up camera>

Before the 19th century, portraits had to be painted and they were very expensive.

But on January 7th, 1839 the very first photograph was announced to the world.

But on January 7th, 1839 the very first commercially available photographic process was announced

to the world, and the photography industry exploded.

Suddenly, everyone was raving about this new art form.

Photography allowed anyone- not just the wealthy, to achieve a kind of immortality.

The quality was pristine, but the exposure times were long.

These early photographs took several minutes to capture, which is why there are many creepy

photos of babies and animals appearing as fuzzy blurs.

This could partially be the reason as to why models often didn't smile in old photos-

they had to pose for a very long time.

How long can you hold a smile?

Point being, perhaps the reason why there's a subtle creepiness in old film, is because

we subconsciously associate them with these grim photos of early photography, which we

often find creepy.

There's something very intriguing about how moving photographs have the ability to

not only capture the subjects within them, but their actions as well.

Have you perchance seen the German film, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari?

There's something very dark and macabre about it which may have had something to do

with the culture at the time.

During those days, Germany had a desolate and depressing environment.

Their economy was in the dumps for fifty years.

It makes sense that what film makers were producing would reflect such pessimistic conditions.

Caligarism is a term used to describe these bizarre style of films which usually focused

on themes like madness and obsession, usually through visual distortion.

These sort of films were visually intriguing and inspirational for the masters of today

<inserrt Tim Burton>.

But again, it wasn't necessarily just the "horror" films that had a creep factor.

Charlie Chaplin is perhaps the most well-known actor from the silent film era, and though

much of his work revolved around comedy, through the way the picture progresses, we can still

see that subtle creepy silent-film aesthetic.

On top of that, because of the "silent" factor, early cinema often relied on expressive

stage acting and overly expressive facial expressions.

Something about these caricatures of people may come off as slightly unsettling, similar

to clowns.

Another reason could be the use of practical effects.

As goofy as they can look, they're more haunting because they was clearly made in

real life and not digitally created on the computer.

I mean, today's CGI effects are cool- but there's something about the haunting realism

of the silent film world that gets lost in translation.

There's just something so nightmarishly visceral about knowing that, for it have been

filmed, that scary image on screen had to exist at one point in real life.

George Méliés, is largely considered to be the "Spielberg" of his time and the

father of special effects in film.

Debuting in 1902, his film, "A Trip To The Moon" is widely regarded as one of the most

influential films of all time, having been one of the first in early cinema to employ

the use of, as "A Short History of Film notes, "spectacle, sensation, and technical

wizardry to create a cosmic fantasy that was an international sensation".

However, regardless of its historical impact, there is still that same vague creepiness

to it- almost as if we're looking into another world.

But then again, isn't that literally what we're doing?

If you think about it, most people alive today, did not exist when these moving pictures on

the screen were being shot.

The last person to live in the 1800s, Emma Morano, born in 1899, sadly passed away in

April of 2017.

So perhaps the reason behind this errant creepiness, is the idea that all the actors you are seeing,

all the people involved in putting together the sets, the person behind the camera, as

well as the many audiences who saw the film during its time,

are all dead.

Sure, we can recreate that old black and white silent film era look and even produce visuals

in modern film that are haunting in equally effective ways.

I mean, remember The Babadook?

But it's not so much that the base content of old film is any more frightening than what

we can make today- it's the idea that these haunting images and figures moving on the

screen- they're all dead in real life, and have been for a very long time.

It's kinda like a lifeless ventriloquist dummy in storage.

Though immortalized, the only time they're "alive" is when the film is rolling.

It's a chilling idea to think that they are essentially ghosts among us.

But these ghosts may not last forever.

In 2013, the US Library of Congress announced that a total of 70% of American silent feature

films are believed to be completely lost.

Just look at Lon Chaney, "The Man of a Thousand Faces" and his filmography.

That's a lot of lost films.

And that's just for America.

Either through intentional destruction by the film studios after the end of the silent

era, environmental degradation, or accidental fires in studio vaults, the "silent film"

window into the past is slowly closing.

Perhaps silent film is simply unnerving due to its apparently fleeting nature.

Or perhaps it really simply is the pale and gaunt appearance of those who appear in an

old black and white film.

In a forum on what caused humans to acquire a fear of pale beings with dark, sunken eyes,

one answer seemed to make sense of it all.

Pale beings and dark sunken eyes those two in particular remind us on a subconscious

level, of dead and sick people.

They speak to our innate fears of dying- something we all eventually do, similar to a topic I

covered in Darkology #12 where I talked about the psychology of what makes old people so

frightening.

So back to the question at hand.

Why are silent films creepy?

At the end of the day, it seems to stem from a fear of death.

Thanatophobia to be exact- the feeling of dread when one thinks of the process of dying,

or ceasing to be.

Perhaps a thousand years from now, a more advanced civilization will look back into

our films of today and have similar feelings of dread, knowing that our "immortalized"

history might too, eventually fade into oblivion.

But what do you think?

Many of these surviving older films are now public domain, meaning you can easily find

them on websites like YouTube and Netflix.

Do you have a favorite film from the silent era?

Let me know in the comments below!

And as always, thanks for watching.

The Family Builds an Underground, Earthbag, 2-Story Building | $7000 Cost | Full Version Movie - Duration: 2:01:36.

We moved to the country when I was 10 years old and my siblings were four six and eight

We absolutely loved the open spaces growing up here

Yeah, we were building all kinds of forts. We built a ship once. We used to all build forts together.

I think that's kind of you know the whole way that we were raised. We really stay on the farm a lot

We would do our school and we'd get that done

And we couldn't wait to get out and be creative and build something

I think that desire to build and create has just kind of stayed with all of us. As we got older being the millennials

we are, we eventually discovered

Technology and when we did it was iPods and that was it. We were sold.

When we were creative as kids, I think that creativity hasn't gone away kind of just gotten better. Our family has built a few earthbag buildings

So now it's time to put those skills to work once again.Build cheap buildings

Cheap buildings [laughter]

This is our biggest challenge so far. A recording studio

underneath and then there'll be a

workshop on top. The price to Build it somewhere between five to seven thousand. Which is a pretty good price for

a building. These kind of buildings are really nice because it allows the whole family to work on the building

Let us take you on our adventure and show you how our family works together to build it.

[music]

When we had Jeff out to dig a hole. We're really pre-planning to have the studio done

It's really really deep here. Maybe if we go this way here's the latter.

And then I want to show you. There we got the whole crater

We noticed that the walls were kind of starting to have fallen a little bit so we decided to lay that foundation layer

That would be I would say pretty close to the center. Just to ensure that it wouldn't get buried because it was going to be

quite a few months before we would start building on it. We dug a trench all the way around the outside edges of where our walls

are going to be.

I'm taking the rock and putting it inside the foundation

We're going to be setting the walls on. We had originally planned to have a whole bunch of rock brought in so that we could

stack the two walls on top of each other and like a two-story building would be. We changed our minds

we're able to expand the top section so that we could encompass the stairwell

It's your high-tech level mechanism using like two shovels and a string to level it all

Everything's good right here - I had gone through before and just kind of checked it

and eye balled it and it was level. Then the guys came in and they're starting to level it

And it's getting less and less

Level and then they'd be like. Oh, it needs to go up, and I was just like

nooooooooooooo

We use some railroad ties for the entry and we just kind of buried them and then on the top we went ahead and cut

one shorter to put on the top. All right do you got the drill bit? Drill some holes.

And then we took rebar and we banged it into it to hold the thing together and then that's going to go ahead and be

the entry downstairs. It's going to be a little bit challenging to get this thing in the ground. Get started huh guys?

Yes

Bryson's got his new haircut. I'm cooler. Cooler because I don't have all the hair on me and I'm cooler because I look cooler

No comment over there popsicle girl

So why didn't you bring one for all of us?

[music]

we've been really needing a sound studio and in the hearts to do so I'm excited to have a place to work on my

costumes and family to work with

When we get around 18 inches high with the bags we lay the electric wire in boxes

right here

Yeah

We're gonna go ahead and put plastic around our building

We got some plastic here to act as a moisture barrier between the bags and the dirt she's a pretty six plastic six male

10-foot High

Underfoot to Easily reach around the whole building

I'll keep pushing it out of our way as we grow back filling pushing it out of our way

You just want to make sure that you were involved in the mathematical calculation. So they know I want that. No responsibility to draw on

It you just said I'll roll in every field and it's not going to happen in my friends money orders written

we are

Going out there, so this is going to be inside or outside of the building itself the inside inside

Okay from sloping four steps down so that we can stair step them come out as we go along

And then we'll be building forms down here

It's based on a four-foot landing in front of a door that goes in

Where there are pockets of mostly sand the walls cave in but the clay like you see above doesn't budge

Classes, what do we do?

Leianna meet it with your mouth open

Yeah, your eyes wide open and facing up teaching like avalanche training is done

Go into the white smoke like a wave you know you go underneath it

Back here and plastic separating the dirt from our bike

So that was a good fun right totally

there's all kinds of

Geography, I mean every place has deserts everybody has rainforests and living in a certain area requires a certain type of glowing our

Geographical situation is far different than that that I be in the pacific Northwest or eastern

States in New York, and the makeup of our ground is totally different the amount of rain

We get we're only looking at about a foot of rain compared to

25 inches or more in the Pacific Northwest is it makes a big difference in what type of soil we get so we had to

Take these same things into consideration when we were building our

underground studio out of the Earth effect one is how much water do we get what type of soils do we have has a

Great deal of Clay in it it has a ton of Ghalichi. Which is a calcium

So we have kind of a hard soil, especially that first three feet of our soil

And you get the pickaxe through that stuff to get down

And then there are pockets of sand here and there the caliche level is like this first

First three feet you get a lot of rocks in our soil. There's a lot of clay inside here too, so it's very hard

Very very hard. That's just after a rain. It's time to strengthen the wall to ensure safety first we backfill

We're just muscled up

Whoa Esau glut boy. Yeah, are you getting pulling out?

Ibiza

oh community

Okay, so we're going to put in the dead man just to help the walls

I'm Katie in it might be a little bit of overkill because of the way the bags compress on themselves

But better saying I'm sorry and this really isn't that hard to do so I think we're just going to go like three foot in

And then put like another three-foot chunk

Right there risking the one bag out one bag over

Stake a rebar through the two to hold the two together might even put a rebar in on this side

I'm going to do three one here. We've got another one over there, and then one more vital staircase

It's kind of interesting

We're about halfway up

and it feels like we're starting on ground level again because we've backed build around it and

Our fire is going to be able to stand on that and so are we

So we have to say well

How do we retain a circle inside of the ground we have some forces that work?

We have the force of gravity which pulls straight down

So how we fix that is that our bags are stacked directly on top of each other?

And we have two tamped, so that's a solid so you get to get the idea that if you can compact the soil

you're going to return back to the caliche or to the solid background which doesn't move

we have used barbed wire to help with the shear strength and

Three just by it being a circle it retains the same types of strength as an arch you can

Actually have an arch hold itself together

Throw it on side any forces that come from the outside in

Equally press on the circle get because all forces together too similar to the arch theory

The cool thing that this is its range because it means all of our derby and putting on the outside will settle nicely

That probably put the plastic you there definitely solid

We see donna building although like a doo doo space. I've always wanted to see

Chris our place to secure the back to the doorframe

morph

We need several hanger plates installed around the building in order to hang green screen and other background items on the wall

We built looks like it looks like we're all standing on the same level. We are but get on my level fun

Okay, you can ever stood on something this high you're getting very good look tall for you

there you go, I

Find that if I stay in the air-conditioning all summer long

I don't really the summer gets really super super hot so I find if I go down, okay?

And your body just seems to get used to it. So it's really important to get out early

It's really hot outside. It's not hot just our brain

Are you ready?

Yes, I am wow let's get in

Keep the sun off point five blocks. I was like I couldn't say no

Go get it quick. I'm not so much time for a comeback

Here husband dirt here, please feet that way that

We want it's the simple things in life

Bryce has always been a boy of wonder we all wonder - guys. I got a sector on me

What we're now calling the muse our studio get it cuz this going to be an art in a music studio

First steps here. We have a four foot opening going up our first actual going up. It's going to be right there

Is that cool yes ricing tells us? Huh?

Okay

And we want to have steps that are going to be about seven and a half

Inches high on the Riser and we're going to pour a 12 inch thread

but then we're going to lay the next step on an inch and a half so we'll have a

Ten and a half inch tread we built one frame so that allowed us to just use that same frame Trustees the entire Bill

All right good let's try with this. I didn't need to be too sturdy as these that need to be created security

But I think we're okay

The steps were rectangular however they needed to go in a spiral going up

So you have one side that a bit little smaller on the other side larger, so that's it. Huh? Yeah, this is the second

Step at a time

And then we tear the frame out on and set our next step and then put our next step in and then pull the frame

Out and keep using the same frames all the way up so this overlaps onto the concrete

An inch and a half this is number one two three four

five six

So you're just doing steps and suddenly what?

what the

Jog Monday was at you for the you Monday or the diesel who was it who was it put their paw in this

And talk about deep print you put Michael

You feeling pretty good today?

another percent

hundred percent

so we went waterskiing and

The sunkist doesn't in my muscles wouldn't merc it couldn't get myself to haul in all this big heavy

Bottomed out of the water and I could know

You weren't the one scheme behind the boat see Mark. We're

Perfect alright, we're done

We're done. We're done. We're never done see step

Karin against letting the layout for the upStairs circle we wanted our bigger circle to be centered in our smaller circle and

the Center Circle has the staircase so we had to kind of account for that, so we move the reference pull over and

Put a little extension on it, so we could get higher

I got my colon and draw it out then I'm going to level it off for my neck my airbags

Won't we you as we will

I'm talking a highest point in the bag so we can know where to put the top of the stairs on actually a nursery

We counted 406 that opening and the two front posts there that you see are for French doors that are going to go in

possibility of me putting a six-foot slider in

This is the dead look for you one second. It'll be like hey

It's nice and sunny the next it says now. I'm going to pour rain on you, so

Yes here

We're installing a a berm around just the size of the building getting a little bit of pooling

Inside of our first layer needs to be able to divert the water out of the foundation level that's a common building problem

That's is that but I mean those are has to keep water out of their founders anyway

We're going to see how well this this holds up high peaks that

It has made of our bags a little bit soggy on the outside so we had to let them dry out

We get that wet all the way through like a real mud or move them at all and then they just turn into this real

Mush and it can cause tons of problems all the way down

We don't touch the bags when they're that so we just let them dry out. Naturally. I'm not playing. I'm sidetracking the dogs to Montevideo

So therefore. I am a key piece of

instrumental work

Sure rather than an adornment. I

Note that is what like a generation yeah rather than decoration

We've put in about an hour a day

Maybe a little bit more on the circle to try to get in a row of days

We'll work in the morning when it's not raining and then cover the bags so that we get whatever afternoon rains come through

We will soak our bags so bad. We'll be able to work the next day

Maybe how fast it really goes when you just do one one row a day that thing will be up in no time

the Walls continue to grow

Nice, shiny wheels we commute this family the guys begin to prepare for the electrical outlet?

Install the electrical boxes like you would a cleat we just nailed the boxes right to the plywood the duplex boxes

We're using them have nails and on the box itself so it's like nailing it to a stud

so

She should be out here learning electrical every wire her house. You never know right?

Okay, so the question is I have no more outlet

Where would you want it three across it rocks the one right there? I think it looks perfect, okay?

We just run the wire in between the bags and make sure they're separated from the barbed wire so we don't get any

Shorting going on inside or outside outside wire inside barbed wire

It's easier than trying to pin it to the wall later and come over. It subscribe if you want to see more you know

What's that one now gare your light switch that you said we news because you were right money

What's up with you being right to your mom?

when the kids get a room

They get a dog and Bryson hasn't gotten his yet when we finished Israel Modern all four months back

I think he just wanted to kind of settle in when the kids get up in their teenage years you know you no longer really

like them

They're little yeah, how them in you and you kind of what something as I get older you know you just don't do it anymore

That's tough when dad lays a big kiss on me

so we like them to have an animal when they get up in that age because

That just gives them something that they can they can cuddle with and love on. I think you more like a teacup cool

For Bryson yeah get a poodle. I'm going to get a poodle

Yeah, a little shaved all the way down to the skin with just a tell they make

Cognate though so just called hairless poodle

Exactly, and what not to shave it did a great dane took in cattle do so I thought about that

I think if you get not so great pain real small on a really hairy dog that doesn't shed or barn

Or eat or poop. I think you're talking about a statue. How about cuddly toy like a plushy toy Vicki cuddle ass

It's now window level

Say yes window raft. I gained weight

She chose

This particular room has larger windows. We live with a three foot by five foot windows no dad's mailing these

braces in Coulombs squared

So that you don't have a window. That's what I like

I'm Bryce's building to use two by twelves on

Brainy and Aaron's building we used to buy tan so I went back to the two by ten

The cost of the Layout I have to be often to you

I I bawled too much juice equation my dad and Garen plan out all the windows

Turns pocket by the window right here dad like so symmetrical burger and all like do that. I'll use a really long smells

We can't do that

oh

These will you picking beans over there? Are you eating them?

these are ten poles, and we're going to use these to reinforce the walls between the window like we've done a

Little bit of Movement on this wall because of all the ranges that later come over here. We get a shot of this repeat

We're out of plumb the best way that fix these things is just uh break them off hoping to avoid it

But he cuts or not

Use the pole in the pole

and we run our circle around that way we get our

Perfect circle that we want and I take the rope pull it tight in this case

I'm just using a knot at my marker and just running around

do that mark that all the way around the building before I tamp it and then we just follow that all the way up the

Building and then our walls are relatively straight

There was only half a brick

Brains like a lot and we had a giant storm come through it gets the bags wet and goes up art art yeah

Yeah, we're going to fetch a bad storm. They'll get wet lower down to so everything will be so

So I mean we should go down and take a look at the underneath here

Well see more like it actually is holding up really well. I mean, I don't see any like boulding collapse in anywhere

Which is good?

Some of the moms on bone who you can see water is cooled down here definitely

We got a lot of rain

Yeah, it seems to be holding up really nice actually

the solid as ever

Hey look a little mesquite tree. Look at that. Hey, you know if we wait long enough. You can see the center post

After weeks of dodging rainstorms we finally get a refreeze turn and I'll I now

Jump into work the recess out the window boxes were back don't know

Hold of it was the things out long

One of the ways to help reach our goals sooner is to cut the top of the window boxes up

We wanted to go ahead and shorten the walls to accommodate the roof a little better excited

Go ahead and just drop them down one foot and that brings the whole roof down one foot wall height was just getting too high

After we add everything on top of the windows limiting its going to be a skyscraper before we get the roof

Now this building is really wanted to do a lot of bottle when you put them together

I don't want to stick out too far beyond the bag because then you have cobb around and make stick out

So it's trying to stay real close to the same width where do you think right right there?

Yeah

Which bottles you can't just run barber room and just camp over them like normal?

Because it's all the weight when it starts building up will eventually break that bottle

So you have to like you put the bottle in and back up to it?

and then do a thin layer like over the top of it and then you tamp the only tamp up to it and

Don't tap on top of it until at least you get the next layer on

like this arch

When we first started the design process for this and everything dad really wanted to put in buttresses

We talked them out of it because we don't like the look well

But source it is because we didn't put the buttresses in it is possible that we had more problems than we really

Do it normally event way too many layers too fast and they never get a chance to dry and Harden?

It's like a bag that can move even even with it. Just being Damp once it gets hardened

The thing is Rock solid a 30 foot circle on a 14 inch bag is

Absolute Mac

That you'd ever want to do it really is we didn't really know that going in and we didn't really sink to that far

We didn't even think it would matter really because we've had such good luck with the smaller circles

And then once we got to a certain height we had we didn't have some issues with just

Setting the walls and our center line got a little shorter at one point it brought the walls in and out and normally that would

Be okay

But then we had a big rain come through if you soaked the bags all the way through down to the bottom one

Because a lot of we came to happen and then it started to buckle

I mean if we were put buttresses in we wouldn't had these problems

It was it was the worst place for something like this to happen, but it did right there. We know it was definitely moving

So we're going to try to fix it we decided to use come along. So we're at the base of the door downstairs

We're able to connect the come-along at the base run a cable all the way up to the wall

We're able to run the cable through we put a backing on the back of that back and around out to come along and then

music how long to bring the wall in

That is already a fund that are beautiful. Look at this line. I'd go some more

He needs to be pushed in and I'm thinking to tamp it and we move it over and then tamp it down

So this isn't going to work

Got this you know

It's really working. Good next about here. We are already at one hundred two and a half three. So we're building a lot

Dirt on the center bag here since we had this big rain all the dirt is still damp hasn't dried yet

So it's going to resettle really nice

And it was all dry the wall would get this s term kind of thing we had going on

We were able to kind of straight to that when we were doing

this are one of our links in the wire we were using ended up popping which I

Guess you Kinda always

Expected or yeah, you're kind of always afraid of it. So you're kind of always careful around it, but uh

It actually happened this time yeah come out about six or eight inches in italy like that

Would really become alongs work really good to pull the wall back to where we wanted it

I think what was the spring effect where we pulled it in when it's busted?

It's just like whoa all as far

As it could go instead of just coming back to normal so it went a little bit past

We brought it back in and it's just unforeseen we can't always sometimes things break

It's actually a pretty good testament to what the bad help story

They really are I need to be able to spring back like that and hang out just at a crazy angle and just stop I

Mean that's it really is quite amazing

Dad's first thing was he just wanted to tamp it and I was like no no

No, you can't just tamp a giant section

Just does not work, and then you have to go over and I was out of ideas and so I was like okay

Dad's gone, we can test the tamp now

Look better it does

Don't talk bad. How we did and it actually did end up working a little because it was that hard to admit

Oh, yeah, look that wall look that wrong

Not beautiful back better than a lot of jokes that we managed to get it back and get everything all put back together

We're digging some holes to put some posts here to hold up our murphy bed. So that worked really well

We not only get nap post for the murphy band, but we also get those for the wall can help support it

Hey, didn't move at all. It's good

I've been thinking about some different types of roofs like this reciprocal roof thing kind of came up

We needed to build a reciprocal roof as kind of an example on a reference

guys bisect the circle draw a line and create eight equal segments

Well you might as well all the way across. How do we might have I cut it on thick circles

I'll show you how to go. What do you call that?

boom

section

Look at that line a little bit

So we were signaling outer space when we talk to you both in the ground

If you land here and here you can pick up with yeah

Yeah, I think this will work pretty good that is using an excellent method of attachment

Alright there it is and it was strong enough that one of us got up there and stood on it a little 300 break

Gosh that is amazing

We went down purchased all of our wood got our great big

30-Footers 30 foot 2 by 8 which is 800 pieces we had trees had to chop down to get those with

at least 30 feet

Everything was good

So what it did dad sure you got these right this one goes like?

Hang on Hang on

And I'll go through I thought I was going to just keep doing this over and over and over and it would work

The workers are doing that well look

this is create a

Month ago, I need much we've created a master. This is not going the video

Y'all go jo kim ah you better not me. I'm handling your eggs this thing in

the world's Heaviest Hula hoop

I

think we got to figure it out now so all we've been doing today is just building sketchy staff with

torque

Thus cackling looks like this crazy mechanism. That was hold up by One post

No, I had four posts looked like it was one carrier than hex, but it was now oh

I play league system fun. That's that you're with you're up here

Yes, that's it. Yeah

Your fault current and then on top of that they decided to put a ladder on top of all that well

We couldn't quite get high enough scaffolding only reached so far. So we headed up on top of that what level allows

It's probably 25 25 25

You're the best view to see if this is level. Can you when you stand up get that top of that level you feel comfortable?

There we go

See where we're at people

um

He's on that edit, and it's just if he does it just takes one step back. There's like nothing

Nothing to catch them on

So they're easy it is scary. They're they're very brave

they're doing a great job is just

That it's so stressful

Just watching them stay out here

Yes, seeing happen. Hey, we got to see up in the air and thanks to Sam and Garen and Bryson

we got all our rappers up in the air and

Everything's looking real good. There you go

But the raptors placed it's time to get leveling about four point across there actually that one is our highest one

So it makes that and we're just gonna go around and level and nail off all the raptors so that the roof is

this level

Gum once you drop our line level yeah, right? What does this look familiar does that look familiar?

So that's your new line level right there. Yeah run in line level. It's a top the wine for the line

Look at that beauty it's so big for the heart of scene artist seeing us the wrong words

I play impaired it's bull. Hey Jackie damn

How this was a spot in the bag where to bring?

They've got this so wet that was oozing out of the bag and now it's like

completely solid

Here down here you're looking up there you're seeing this beautiful little wonderful curve that comes up

Here, I'll show you how they work

Sorry, it's going to be boards that are going to come down here to help with these who think that up here like this this

Course for display now

We're putting in Jack rafters that fill in between the rafters and that helps with the support

Yeah, some guy named jack did I don't know why they named him Jack. We named the monkey down?

30:41 do the other ones none. I'll get this first 34 for you then insider out all right inside. I got it

You know what's really cool is to

Have garen up there taking measurements and laying out and you know and then just hollering down

Specimens to me to cut now he's going to be able to do it on his own

Over a little more corvinus go back

the guys begin installing the Fascia the face of the roof

We built the fascia in kind of a zigzag pattern so which is the same width and dimensions of the raptures themselves?

So it's kind of nice to be able to build it in that way

I know some folks will save money with using smaller materials, but I kind of like to match the tails with the kristef a signature

You're always really happy when we get to this point the bagging

Around the last bay section, and then we're like we're done for good and then it's shiva cobbing and roof for those wait yup

victory my brother

Grapple on the battle but not the war

kids they think they've done bagging but there's a little bit more that we're going to have to do but

They're feeling pretty good about life. Son like I say on things

We first found this whole idea of the reciprocal route from doing a little bit of research on the internet

I found this pdf a reciprocal routes by a gentleman. That's a designer engineer. That's in Japan and

There was a lady her name is Olga

Popovic she had done a great little review of that particular process

And how that was all done the name of it called reciprocal frame architecture in Japan and check it out on Google?

So it's very confident that this was a good process start cutting roof and designing it

Just like it was done in Japan the idea, too

Is that we have compression rings at the top and a compression ring at the bottom?

It's very similar to a yurt or a teepee even for that matter you have a compression ring at the top

Where you rope around the tepee poles?

I'm very happy with the results, and I didn't building this a long time and very fine fits a circle just perfect

Dad wants to reinforce the frame with a cable system similar to a yurt he heads to our metal junk pile

so look for needed parts

type for this these are the Lobby area

perfect

If we run the wire through there it won't risk

Breaking eventually okay now to make it pretty do you think we had to cut the other side alone?

I don't think it needs to look pretty we're not singing it right. Yeah, this shows I

Say we do the for bend and cleaning. I didn't realize we were you still can do the forbidden

Deburring Move -

Yeah, I am cold. It's colder out here. I'm still unsure

Freezing out here folks you hold Darren's not so but you always were the bright one, right?

One oh

Look over my work not looking. Yeah, right we have enough

perfectionist, yes right now

You're not going to see it from the only cut in the air just bring the pair of pliers and their cable thing you wanted

to do

What is your plan is to put these in here?

And yeah, baby against the wall, so it's all with the same yes, man

Just draw all right here climbing this through Slender cable. We only have eight to do it shouldn't take that long. That sounds yeah

oh

There we go. That's one

Cable that we're installing now is something to look to a compression ring

which holds all the bottoms of the rafters and it's kind of an extra measure of

You know I've got one of these before so I'm kind of going with something a little extra at the bottom like a year

the table is going to be below the ceiling level so we do get the opportunity to tighten it and use it as a

Hang Banners or something from it'll be fun

Cool. I go any nice. That's the insurance. That's a baby

Moist time to get our plywood for the roofing section, but then I usually like to buy the plywood

But the wood has become so much more expensive than I went with the osb

It should be eight feet it's not it's a little too long in your path naming it

Yeah

One Bay complete

Ha looking good coming together

laughs Mary, bassett

This is the top site that the Kerbal set on

Dad made a seven sided polygon. I'm gone like the wind

getting measures already

Well, let's just call this one and cut offs out another one this happens longer um three fails this morning

Well third time's a charm right yeah of course

All right, then

Perfect. You are a genius. We knew you had it in you, dad. We always believed you

Well, I missed it

We received a surprising call from Susie and endora representative offering us materials to use on our bus today it arrived

the main Deal

Which we're thankful that and gave us some product and we're all set. It's awesome

It's really awesome very excited very grateful these guys so willing to do this. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you happy kind

We're Gonna go ahead and carpet

That's good enough. We can figure this out now

Okay, I'll change this you can slide it up and down. Yeah

Thank you

Start putting up the first day kind of figuring out where we want everything and how we want to start laying them out wind starts

Picking up looking like it's Gonna rain

This is that can you?

Just good easier, but it's my whip your with measurement now if you could give me that that okay that all right, okay?

Let me nail this so that I don't move it. This is what we got to do exciting

Yeah, I go to the right at the top to the touch. That's it right

Back a little bit I said that's it that's perfect

At one point you blew even some of our sheets on well, they're tough yeah, they are

throw together the One day that we got

Possible okay, I'm I'm going for it right now put things away and wait for wake up tomorrow to finish up yep

oh

injury

goes to hammer the nail not your finger

ready to Hammer the hammer salt yeah, chemical Step down I

believe sorry Sharon Keep Blanco training poor Workman blames his tools

jared

Our good friend Marvin came out to to help us out and we're very excited to have him out here

he's quite - quite the carpenter -

now I've seen a lot of kids with saws and crews the stuff that I've run and

It's amazing to watch these guys use these sauces so confident. They're using them properly

safely

very impressed

So we're trying to figure out a solution to this skylight

And I think we might sound one nice best idea so far one good lead is not my I think it's inevitable ice assault regardless

Now it's time for the skylight on

Skylights on my friend that means our job is done

The guys decide to start from the bottom up they head inside and downstairs to start the soil cement floor

we set the grade by taking two bricks for leveling and putting one in the center of the floor and

at the seal of the door

And then we level it from the seal to the middle of the room that's applause your hand if you're out all right

We want to have the right grade the right amount of dirt

So that we put it in the cement everything gets mixed in there. We don't have to pull anything out there

it is of course is to have everybody marvin come out and help again, so I'm

Just Gonna stick the dirt out

Wait, I've joined these Marvin dry sand shaking yeah

If you try to call about three deep in a pole, it's going to help you, okay

See so hot go away. Come on. Come on my pole

first time we turn this entire thing I turned the whole thing by Charlotte first and then you guys to the tiller the

young guy in the room

Bryson was able to like do twice as much work for us because you know

We're seasoned carpenters you know and so

We weren't as apt that a shovel as he was so or workmen claims is tool. I'm not better than the shovel

I'm just blaming the bodies of the two old guys that you are working with you know you're coming over for this digimon. Oh

Yeah

It's a really enjoyable that

So we use the water to actually dampen and keep the dust at the same time and then I got a chance to spray

Bryson every now, and then which was fun. You only did it once surprisingly directed more?

You know when we lived in the city. You know we were putting the kid's in activities

Which is great activities are great?

But I think the moments that we spend working alongside each other are probably the most valuable

Moments, we have with them. Yes allows us to build that relationship with them

You know they get to see to how we handle problems and probably don't have a problems very well

So they'll see some of our mistakes, and they'll say that

We're not as perfect as we think we are so it's humbling

And it's enjoyable because you're sharing and the kids get something out of it

I get something I learn all the time and you you're good leveler. I mean with dad not taking that out to helping pedro

We get to see how our kids handle stressful situations dude

what the walk at the time yeah on how the situations were no tire and

It just allowed us these moments to intervene

Again, I'm almost done with my crop circle

being on watch no

huge

Call that down a different this thing up, and you can't recruitment

Now we all focus on level in and then we campus oh

No, peace you gonna get me in trouble. Don't make any conference quick quick. We

need to find and cut down some good tree limbs to replace the temporary pose for the entryway of the studio work the pile of

potential

posts

Let me pull this out melanie. Toby - HMM

We think of these to have this one that one have fun

Dad makes plans to frame the floor

So my double to the ten and then come out to about four feet and then can't leave her back over the top of it

and so after the cleats are built we take twenty foot two by Tens and

Clap them together and then put them across the long distances the longest part of the circle

And then we'll just shrink it down from there and just put singles

Bring it down here, and I think exactly I appreciate all that I can push it far. Yeah

He's amazing you can know that and a film by Julius tank

Because another brain it can't defeat us right boys. Yeah

The one it's going to determine the height yeah

I think it's going to be that one over there the next to the work of this one pew half

we're just a second we will put them in but not nail and then just

You know where they're basically lifted up the sides of the cleat so that we got a nice level. Oh, oh

I think that's pretty dead-on

Exactly our goal is to finish the floor this week, so the guys continue installing the floor joists

Is four five six four five?

Well block it up to that basic

When Bryson and Dad are filling in the sections on the floor us gals are bagging in between the joists

We were asked if us girls use power tools I use power tools

But to go, it. Does is a problem

That is a happy job the bags are like Adobe Bricks, but with nails in between them to secure the floor

There we go look through stairs, but hang on a craft like three tango or something

and that is why we don't show us using comm

That will dumb

Ninja television, you know

exactly

So fill it to see that

We can do a couple of these minute forget to jar now all the way to the wall, okay?

We're going to take the deck footers where we're going to run out over the top and several

cantilever them out

you're going to

point so far

Now, what are you going to do?

Hey, we're selecting our posts now for chair railing. Let's look like a great post

I mean it had some memories too into it from our tie swing oh

yeah, and

Kind of excited to do a mesquite stair rail

What's good about a post that's secure is if you can actually make it part of the floor

He won't sing basically so it can bolt it down

Just cool while the skis it's really twisty oh - it's not like pilot just raced in

We bolt it right to the to button

We're going to run that at 38 inches on the post hide and maybe like 40 or the top

Section I forget the racial piece on them and then back right up against it and then put some blocks in

so that makes really nice strong posts as opposed to just like

Attaching it with a bracket or something to the top of a deck

Now that the main stair puts our in we're going to head downstairs laying down from our electrical yep

Doing the three-way switch, so we turn the lights on and off upstairs and the fan, too

Okay, so we are doing well press. I'm not a lot of press though right guys because of it

Hold what you're seeing is the astra bath

I was carrying this on my shoulder, and then right when I got right to my childre for one second, okay?

So the plan without you doing the mixing mugs with pure light

One two one four right now kind of see what comes out?

We're going to add some water probably just a little bit. I wouldn't have

Maurice you go sent it. Yeah

Okay, this poison my deathbed

We got it to a peanut butter

Mixture that was their first one then I went to pete and ending with the pancake batter. I wanted a little bit right in there

Where you can ask right? Well, it's sure a texture that sets off so we'll sit down

Oh, yeah, morally

I think you're going to make more sound moves in a straight line until it hits something and

Then the more times it hits something the weaker the sound gets

So the idea was with the rolls of the bag we get a little bit of deadening and also to

Reflects off of the little pieces of pure light that it bounces off something so the more bouncing we can getting in there really

Is the better I can get all kinds of different Angles and soft materials?

Then that causes the sound to dead, and that's we're trying to get as a dead don't know what?

Sounds good when you're standing in the middle like this being over here is really nothing quieter

over here

Arina paint the Downturn did yeah

Paranoid Garden

gnome oh

Yeah, oh, I was also test think pancake batter

No, no, I've got something else you get food when I say pancake it was a cool dinner time actually I left it

So we have our our bands

Are piping the dog stuck his head in here, and it got jammed on it

This was kind of broken and kind of hanging off

And so we're trying to get it off the car to get off I get over here

I need your help. You need to run. Go ahead really do it

Hopefully, we can salvage it and just some pipe out of it and basically our plan for cup of escape

this time to supposed to stretch out to eight feet but I

Got your feet many

People you did not learn the first time do not shake your head in there. I think you I just enjoyed it

put in the air, but now

Is going to be our draw so it can dry our from down there and push it up in here, so yeah

It's going to look like that. Hi if we can grab the lowest coldest air down there

Which is at the very very bottom right and pull that up so what we'll do is

We'll just run that four inch by 12 inch pipe

They make this like this, and we'll just go right straight down alongside the wall you always need good Airflow down there

You know it also gives a good airflow. Yes, and get fresh air

Shelley and I were just like traveling around one of the hardware stores

And we bumped into this architectural glass we picked up a couple of these and we'll be installing them in the floor

You'll put it in okay. Yeah, I?

Think that that can handle the weight of a person yeah, don't you step on tea?

Okay, easily. Oh, I foot didn't go through that would been a disaster

This goes in here in the wall collects light from the outside, but it all has to come through this hole

This week we'll start by doing some painting downstairs

my knees

Kind of like a gray I like it

Planted a put in the campfire good candy and do it can delete to put the camera in

Okay

If you want me to make students think well, that's ridiculous it is

ridiculous

Got a hand holder. Yeah, all right. Yeah

Where were you when I put mine in you know doesn't matter that that Christian does the me now. If there's an island Lankan Cricket

be honest

If you think the guides were the only ones working then we're going to give you a sneak peek of a future video follow me

Whoa or themself fragment?

Yes, this is a dragon rocket. So which is built over the dirt foundation in the corner of the news art studio

We have a separate video that documents this build we starting could be feeling downstairs

We have some landscaping cloth here that will be running underneath the floor joists

And this will help keep the insulation that we're going to want to put between the rafters

Held into place we pull a ceiling tile down. We don't get a face full of insulation

Right then where are you we need you?

Really because like we need you guys already like I think he's almost done

so we were into town in the

Gutter rub tiny groove for our decking and we got all of our insulation to we're kind of me about jeans material

And that's hot stuff. So it has better sound quality

It has this grid system

and I didn't want to lose me ceiling so we decided right up on the bottom of those rafters that found a

Really really interesting way of holding they because tiles on your aid, I thought it was spectacular. They did that way

It's already sounds like the recording studio

Dora

All right traffic done

And it's beautiful

We're going to do this whole circle with its insulation because this is right above the sound studio

And this is supposed to have higher sound qualities because it's made out of recycled jeans

And I guess your cycle cotton and that stuff we can stick your hand in here, and you're like

Brushing step out and feels like petting something and all the hairs

What a picture the thing we decided to put a mask on pillow

I think we're moving at blazing speeds so all the dust is coming up, but you think eh yes, sure. It's pretty dusty

There is actually a blower for this installation

But we lift you're far from task to go right one and a half ago to get back so much driving

So we're doing it by hand, but it's cool

We got this the guys jump in to help a little bit with the insulation

Everyone comes up with their own amin way of busting up that insulation. This is just our heart our tool

we've been using for sculpting and

Being called up some to trial

And then I just kind of laughed at it

and it just gets a

lot faster than tools or

Really anything?

So I think I found very best way breakdown to insulation

You can do like half a bag at a time and just put it in there

Pinch off the top with your hands just slam into the grass breaks the whole thing up in a couple hit half bag aside

Take it yep fall apart you ready it is through that one now

We're also using screws, and we're going really close to go everything a lot secures and the floor feels really solid because of it

There's a big difference between putting a floor down in a square room where you're using square materials and here

We are trying to actually put a square peg in a round hole and so it did make for some interesting cuts. We had our

Interesting being shot play around and yeah, I would love fun actually

We're gonna Dance on this for a baby in me

This week it's time for windows and doors

All right

Good boy good boy. Yeah, this is bullet. If my new Dodge is a good doggy

furnace plus

My fingers happen interesting too with the back building as you can't the back is down and stuff any frames you put in place

subscribing through the dead level

And either nail them or level a minute as you go because as you put those bags in and tamp those back down your frame

You can shift around a little bit

There's a crack

That's a kind double pane. So double pane because a thick here it back. Yeah. I'm just gonna Dig

You have to pay him

Put this in turn around the Windows VVVV nail-gun got five

Drawl does music week what I mean we were out enjoying our carving session singing. That's using no

I don't usually have laughing enjoying each other's company

and then

Bryson joins us and our wonderful little session turns into an argument about measurements might?

Universe like sony so our response

What is that even you know I know all sorts of measurements because I work in like you know like dog, and I'm like

Huh? Oh, oh you know

This is widow, but I know what a cupid is. Do you know what a centimeter is

And I was like no, Bryson. I don't know what it's not a meter is but in the end

I won because he didn't know what a cubit was that shame. I mean, she did not know I

Learned other things cuz you know I can h a lot of things, but measurements aren't one of them

Okay before that way a little bit the doors are really fun minutes. You don't send them here often so it's like

They're really difficult

Get right get one corner 92 the rest of its lines on Dumbledore

It's a little more complicated because you go six well, we want that to be even all the way around

You know it's really good

Our door shuts unlock then

Last week while we were working on the outside my friend esther came over and she was a big help

And we were all just kind of singing song

Sob my being in the video. No I give you my consent. I'll put my beautiful fiery

myself a manifest after our

Insurance why I didn't worry about the lord or a Christian

Recently we've all really gotten into a movie on Netflix called struck the musical and we've all been

singing the songs quoting the lines now you'll live with

Me and we were really happy when?

Esther saw the show with us. So that she gets all of our jokes now and understands they're quoting

the greatest all to get in

And it almost grew it's a little weirder. Yes. I don't even know if I think

I'm on that time for these olympics

In the next three days things are really going to get serious

We do not have everything done that we would like to have done. So we've been really putting in an extra effort

We're going to be bringing out a hopper that we used in my room for the cop and we're going to be putting stucco through

It and especially walls with it. Yeah, there's a modified a

Mud hopper or sheetrock actually it took them the technique that worked the best for keeping the mud onto the wall

Is to actually use a method where we wet is down to almost a liquid

Bricen would throw it fell over the top of the hopper hole I guess and then when he's ready to release the air

He would just pull some away I

Think thicker or to coast that's what I said yeah

I wanted it really wet and dad wanted it really dry. So I got slurry

Pressed out my fish to try right wow no

It pours out, but it sure goes on that

we were on both opposite end of the field and

Briefings in is that when you guys just make it in between batch. This is slightly thicker, okay?

just to equal view and

Okay, go get it. See what happens. I'm game for something new I

Leave it up to her for the logic

looks like water

Nice off. It is nice good. Yeah, and although I still think it should have been mutter I

Get Windshield wipers

Every once in a while, my dog would lose sight of me now, and howling my dog is so attached to me

I'm right here. We keep doing buddy any better attack, and you know our secret Chris. I'm coming for ya, okay

All right, cory I'll talk to ya

Because I know you probably got a solid hit darn covering the main code is building not here, dad

And he goes I want to do another batch pretty time

It was pretty sure I was not very happy enough. I knew that we had to do it - you know your spots

we needed Done -

Mom was watching me clean off the bottle and how the light would just like shine through in the room was gets

Smidgen bit higher and it was really it was really kind of cool

before we start painting we need to clean off some of the stucco Shane found the perfect tool I

Just wheat the eve

Sounds productive am I right?

The guys get out there, and they paint a section on the building and I'm just not liking the color

Part of winning his experiments and a trip to the store real quick to pick up some agree, but we did find something

By the time I got done mixing all of this pain up and getting this new color for Shelley price is gone

It's computer problem

Oh and brees computer crashed, and that's kind of an important computer for all of us and with those nice dreams and with Roadwork

So Bryson's in there doing some first aid on her computers. Oh, and I'm left to paint this thing by myself

If you painted the ease of a home before it's like totally frustrating and having an air sprayer like in your hand doing the eases

the coolest things I

Feel really bad because gary he's trying to accommodate the fact that I didn't like the color

But I'm still not liking it first. I'm thinking well. Maybe when gary takes that plastic down

I'll actually like it, but it's just not happening. I look out there and like okay. Yeah, I like it

I like it, and then as the day goes on

I

just I just

I don't know what to say it has to be right if you're not going to like the color you're not going to like looking

At this it's a pretty color

I just don't think it fits into our desert scheme and because it looks to me like it belongs on the beach somewhere

You know yeah, I get that always a lot of learning I start looking into other ways to change the color

Sponging ragging rolling anything I'm searching online

Outside comes to the outside moms the final decision

We're going to go with the dark green and then bring us a little bit of wine over it. She didn't leave

I think I'm going to like this a little more

It's kind of tone that down a little bit, so I'm really hoping I'm going to like trim color, too

It's going to be really fun it are you think it looks like chocolate Rajesh?

mmm like the way you think I really like this look - I think it abs is kind of a organic and creativity of of

These shapes and textures, and it hides a lot of a bump bumps and blemishes in these buildings

I'm like it

Okay, I thought you had your head so song I thought I would face so say that out loud

What have you done um that was it's between my toes

I'm not coming out a while. That was magical

I think I'm finally really happy with the color

It actually looks kind of it looks more desert II and it and I have that alternate marble type of texture yeah, yeah

And it's hidden a lot of the blemishes. I like that too. So you're look at it with your eyes closed

Yeah, and it disappears. That's true. That sounds I've seen done before and we went ahead to do the ragging

The family heads back inside to work on the stair rail. We decided he barked the stair post. Are you doing leg away?

It's not flattering let me I'll make myself look better here

no, just chips off the old block I

Got this tool. Which is the good tool if we're honest you know che I really actually have quite an advantage with this tool

Oh, yeah

Chink are you shaving?

I don't personally think that bray should be able to film anymore because all she can do when she comes over to film eyes is

fun after school if

You need to get out of here picnic like down

A

Bigger box than a slice, they're not welcome in the workspace anyone

Would you get them maybe barking that will key shake?

Ten Random you know I'll be putting around here

You can imagine that you have this curve, and you have pieces that are really curved

I mean

they're the pieces of Mosquito or

Twisted and in turn and so on so it's a puzzle to be able to put them all together and a rating like this

So that was a lot of time

I think what I'm going to go ahead and do when I put the rayleigh's together is to just go ahead and overlap them and

Then run a bolt right through the middle and dinosaur post

This is so beautiful that

Jiggly person here is my friend. She's gonna help us with the work today. Hi, she actually volunteered

As a branch a guitar looks so much easier and more fun so worth a friend because you can sing

And I hope to come back and during the summer and all you guys build with yeah free labor

You know thank you very much. Yes, what?

unless the door opens

What has a gun?

You know you need to do a lot of those little ones. Yeah, they're supposed to be designed for like kids

So they don't stick their head to join stepping out

So you put a little close together, so I figure if we leave the stickers on kids wanting to touch up

Yeah, good thinking

What is that? That's enough appeal I don't even recognize it

That's pretty good wood down there. So just getting down to that, Whitewood and all this good stuff. We're ready to go

I use my half

Yeah

to top on it to get the time so that you have a flat so after the distance between

Bottom of that hole and the top of this hole is greater

So that you can just push it in on the top slide it in and pull it down put a nail right there

So let the determination of how far apart these are I just don't want default deal with it

Please don't prove. It's like it's Gonna work. Yeah

yeah, before he

We have this

section beside the Stairwell that goes on down that's on the left hand side that it's a new space perfect spot to put

Doors you know ten minutes and fill that up with as many cabinets as we could afford and just for one

Cabinet is a little over $100. See if we could find some used ones

I find this deal of these looks like a lot of cabinets. I'm going to go look at them and

Really to our shock. They didn't come out of a kitchen. No. They did they were all custom cabinets. Oh, thanks for the

Bag I know very nicely made very strong. Maybe even better than what I could have put together oh

My I just don't know like God when gary and I were going in to purchase on but we'll try to get them for $75

telework

But when we got there, I looked over at Darrin. I'm like

Maguro Little all pretty little bit embarrassing was there was so much cabinets for it was already such agony

I was just great too. So yeah, he was a wonderful man and

It's really nice. This is very well built

Like a geek resonance form that would be cool

Took two trips because one of the cat one of them was just filled up the whole bed in the back

Every time you can call something down behind closed doors. You're the place that's it from my houses

You know what I mean though, easy, huh?

We're just putting a white base coat on and then we'll go back through and antique it. You look totally different. Oh

You're so vain, okay feels like what you saw on

Chasing this all-white now, so it's really cool

Keep antiquing. What's the word on the cracks mom? Well you can see now. They are actually coming through we were worried

They weren't going to come down one of the things we watch it. It's the coolest color

That's got a lot of texture. That's for sure

Yeah, it totally it totally matches the fun kind of shape and theme that we have going on in here, so I

Love this idea here have a leathery

Stone look or cave wall what they just love this dark spot light spots and have a nice texture to it

The cracked lead creams just kind of break or something. It's nice. I like this

The guys get started installing the cap

That was very cool

you trying to go with the too Long 53 by

42 I think they are we put the two of those together, and then a taller one that is 80 inches by 32

we will hold and we put bolts through the

connecting pieces at the

Because it's a round wall and square cabinets

So wherever they connected we stuck a bolt in there now that I have the arrangement?

We'll just go ahead and take the cabinet doors off

so I'm going to sand everything down and we're going to match the stain that we're going to use for the railing and coat a

Red Oak

Gary's idea if they do just a long streak. So they just do one

Are you sending that or y'all yeah? Oh yeah?

Is it if I get bored hearing soon? Well? I'm wearing safety gear what I have shoes on

So you can put in oh yeah

Trina I'd agree

When I discover something we hid from you left. We didn't show it because

Now it's not secret. Hey watch it in this yeah, don't fall into the third floor

In those old movies when they open up the shutters and they start Young, Winningham

She's very organized the way she tweets each step. Go judge me separately

I love the way you believe I'm so sneaky at least I'm cleaning

Visuals you have a very sweeping personnel. We're getting ready

I have a rooney and my strategically placed bucket. We have empty space under the stairs

You can name that like harry Potter's room. Well, it looks like something from hogwarts

Back at it again. We're trying to get our railing in for our stairwell

How's it going Daddy with great call hybrid with camera one them?

Here from now. You'll wish you started today. You don't know who said it

Secure the handrail right here. This is nice and secured secure and that will be secured down here

Dad and Darrin begin planning for the murphy bed

And then just started watching looking drawing this whole section here

Is going to be right and then we kind of just spent two hours?

figuring out exactly what we wanted to do son has designed a little bracket that will fit our situation and just

try to determine

what how to build the frame

Now did you call your room good together you decide the bed?

Carbon oven

Ellie's Gonna come to help with that

I'm going to go ahead and put a hand item

What are you thinking right here, okay?

Hey, Dad you want you're not here for sex?

Doll ago, but is it sounds mark here on this Dosa makes?

perfect solutely probably a nice light down here

Yeah, you found me a good boy

The mirrors to down below as someone is very kind of a strutting. Thank you Pam is going to be awesome together

Jetmir how should I ask?

It's not like you would expect actually salty at the base of stairs. We have a solar light nothing like seeing yourself everywhere

They're good. So we're good now or shut off lights and see how much I do right yeah, oh

Wow, that is a whole ton better. Yeah look at you and reflecting off the wall

Right, we're done

This is going to be for our turkey bad now we found somebody who had a great design to make the frame in the box

Today which which gives us a box you through some pointers Kelsey took my wood and nails or it screwed screamed, and he blew

this is

The bottom piece or actually the right side piece and go up onto the right side

And it should fit right here against the wall

And be the right side of our murphy bed hard to make a round pot with a straight saw

Really the thinking we did in my room. Which is using these floor panels as ceiling panels inside of the stairs

Just like there's a light up there

That's really cool

We found a seat swivel for a boat it's a six inch plate with a nice swivel

And that's the main mechanism for both sides guy and sit here

It will be comfortable. This is our going to quite a bit clean

Just an L bracket really with a sprint offset on the L bracket and then the seats goal will be offset as well now

We will get tension when the bed's coming down. I'm sitting just follow that

We're going to get these two hinges installed and finish up the murphy bed. Oh

Sure, I'm in it out, okay

right

Okay, and the good thing is that it wrong. Which is one screwed picture

This will send down. Yeah. This can go up. This is that

We go, okay, just okay?

Okay, we need to get it out past this so we have to go through it all

Right right now. I'm trapping snake counterweights. It really nicely it does it a lot

There's good. Okay. I have a spring now

how deaf Cobra and

She goes bad it was fun. There's a lot of lot of thinking that went into it

Like that second that it turned out to be a lot simpler which was which was really good. Oh

Yeah, yeah, I'll give ya

We got functionality on all the mechanical

Part for this thing built on the stringer and hinges are in it's going to work really good. Yeah

The material for the ceiling arrived we got some canvas here for the ceiling. Oh, well, not exactly campus

100 yards of burlap there it is we love the look of their physical rough. It's got this cute little design

It's a shame to think that we might have to cover that up, so we started thinking about

How could we do that where we could put stuff in between there?

They'll be able to see the design we're going to staple this up in between the boards so that we'll still have the board

Showing and then we'll have little sections of burlap with the insulation underneath itself. We're hoping it's going to work

We're doing yeah, nothing more than just a little top part right here

That's my job well mom and Bryson have been putting up the burlap and the insulation

I have to stay ahead of them because we wanted to be stained before we put it up there. It was a ratchet

So doesn't rip?

Well, I'm gonna have a finish line to work for it if we just set up the goal of finishing up the news art studio

It would be so overwhelming be just miserable yeah, so we set up small goals

Which is what we did on the ceiling and I think I got a little over ambitious on this one Tuesday

And there Wednesday, and so on a whip the top today's Wednesday, which is Beyond this layer

And we're 78 so we may catch up. I think the kids side is a little ridiculous this time when I joined the road

Now we're sitting at the Thursday, and I don't know still fun to have the goals and try to achieve on you know

but as we miss on

Like in this case. There's predictions going to make this one

But they're once in a while her goals get a little ambitious

And if they're just barely ambitious typically as kids are like. Oh, no, mom

No, this is where what if there'd be extremely ambitious, or just like okay by saying come here. I would like to brush your hair

Hmm. It's a long time. I'm going to deny your quest

we would you

And eventually moms like this was a giant goal

What's kind of fun about these projects is I really enjoy the time that we come out together as a family

And then like an hour of our day what we're just all together working side by side on this project now

We could really all be out there together as a family because we only have one staple gun

But we picked up this air gun for the job, and oh it's so worth it

This is a good event cause we just took turns working in pairs or three of us would go out at various times

It's some of the best ways to build relationships with each other whether its family or even friends sometimes

I think that when you have to work with someone it's even more but catch to that

Friendship or relationship are you keeping up?

What?

What up the cotton candy from home?

so there's also you just have to kind of build off each other a lot in a work space and

Endanger someone sometimes when you're working

jack you know where everyone's at and you have to communicate those frustrating moments you have to work out a lot of

Compromising when it comes to ideas a lot of middle ground. It's like okay. Let's

Compromise here, I'd be one way to learn

- heels imprinting these little

Dragon heads, we're going to use them like

Well, just like this in the music studio with cabinet door handles

So we ordered some black plastic online to replace the pink knobs that are on the cabinet and all that might be

So we started out printing on Garrett's printer because my printer was broken down at the time. It's finished

kind of like a slog

You just need to have all the support stuff taken off

Isn't it yeah? It's very cute. Gosh. It's just silky beautiful

Just supposingly keep our hands safe

But I don't want to smash this or ruin this take a drill bit in

I'll show you how to drill the holes into the back of them

I'm gonna go get the old knob I'm gonna give it let me hear screw here and see some tasty

I'm not in my pajamas

Ahahaha

It's not easy

Maybe if I held it on this side

It's the same method that the other knob did where if the screw just simply screws in the back?

First ones done look at that

From Sears sure is a process though

So our original number is 12

But we may end up printing more depending on how many cabinets - listen we may put some

Larger ones for the murphy bed going to keep all my fabrics in here. Keep my footmen in here. Oh

Yeah

We ran out, so we'll have to finish this up later

You know what does it think that?

Always with every project is how do we get enough time to do all the things that we need to do and I?

Travel for work sometimes so it requires me to be out of town for three four sometimes five days

You know it's frustrating knowing that everybody here at the house

Working real hard like they're working on the ceiling I'd really longed to be with them too, and be there when I am away

It's really

Reassuring to know that

Bricen and Garen are here to just be here part of the family

Kind of upholding and I know that both boys really step up to the plate when Dad's gone

And I just like okay guys I feel better on the inside. This is a spindle for the headboard

dry on blue

it's so cool to come back and be able to you know play here and create and

And have a lot of fun that that to me. It's like one of the coolest things about what we're doing

I

Really like the same it does to me on what you see is really wow that looks so cool

We are driving towards the goal of completing the underground music

Studio with several finishing touches still needed to be completed the family heads downstairs to see what's next

Hell in the dark in here the gap between the ceiling and the wall still needs to be fill okay this actually ridiculous

But we did this on Brighton houses

Go between the ceiling and the wall, and we can then we'll trim stops get purple, and it will actually look half of these it

Is Great Foam stuff I?

do

pick responsible Mom told

Me Dallas automakers, you want to get some colors

This is where dad supposedly fell through

Yeah, he said he felt through all the time, but he really just yeah, it's folder matter you're going to do is

This morning peacefully I intended out just like exactly like you fell out for me

I don't you just put a bandaid on it and have that sign it before okay next a badger to that distant thing

I haven't no obsession

pieces Annoy and Want maybe

Illusion house for so many of us working. We're always misplacing the tape measure

crazy Sense of Adventure Bryson -

to unlearn

How many of you so be a little careful what we just what dr.? Hood? Yeah, please do

Actually mom I think we're both lying. Oh

ah

But this going to try to trim this off that look like this kind of part of the wall it detached

Just look like it's part of that stuff in law

And then Shale come back can paint it with a purple

And then it will kind of blend it a little bit better than them, so

Nice. What kind of tripped and did that isn't it beautiful? Yeah, it's like my signature yeah, I

Don't have a lie so down here. Yeah

so I wired up the fan so that they'll work off just a normal plug in mainly because we just wanted to test them and

We need to get some airflow down there, and they're working great. Oh, yeah, I can feel it

There's already changing temperature in here

- hi

We were on the Electro for the building

We started on like all the outlets call them and we think that out pretty quick Joe is

Where the tape measures tiny decision and getting the height of the light is the challenge part they all are a little different

What do you?

What are you wearing?

Ant army chance book lobster, and that kind of uncomfortable with that in your toe like that

Are you filming me? What are you doing?

Que esperar Dn right now. I swear RD in and then we just put the cap we got limo

And she could be unboxing and drop test. Oh in

intensive oh sweet oh

Cool. I'm faster than you

What's this brazen? Why are you messing me up? I'm not messing you up. You said you can do a pastor at some

Serious yeah, I'm good

Are you serious?

Screw in a lightbulb. I'm gonna go play it, okay works

The testing at the end was editing work. Which was she had a circle important and good music did right?

Alright. I look so cool down here free chicken Worthless which

man

Really like let's trim up pretty good. Yeah, it does it looks great guys wonderful work, I

Don't work today, and I'm so excited the boys went ahead and got all the electrical hooked up

It's all working so good, so I'm very excited. They did a great job the last thing needed for this building project is the floor

you did

Our burlap came be able to finish that and look over here to our flooring material

So we are ready to go whoa

So che what you doing? I'm your training the steps that we can not fill on the whole

thing

Yeah, I got

This is Marvin. He's back 20 guys up to this today sent for a tiny hit some had laid down Marvin has graciously

Donated some carbon which I get right out of his house, so they don't have any carpet in that room now

We said you could do without for a few months. No big deal. I like perfect ink

Yeah, good. Let's go all the way to now

up a little stragglers, huh, I

Get right down here

And out that one little piece almost covers the whole thing yeah

So I get to mess up if we met someone I

Do kind of like the red tint. I think I do too

I left out a lot of much approval um y'all me just three before you and then you come back through when you paint it

Yeah, I'd like to make a point that mom has started painting at the top of the step which is clearly a wise decision

When there is no other exit only going to do half down and half back up. You just you got this figured out

Obviously, I'm home

Get some new blades on our rules

Gary had this idea to put on floor on the upstairs floor with there was like oh

I didn't want a big gray floor up there

I like the foam idea to our surprise we found out that they made foam in Pattern

three-quarter inch plank

And the only place we're going to use a straight edge is in front of the door

Yeah, putting up with cars looking over get started

Once we get this first fighter down

We can all just get going on so ebay we found our best price

And they had edged a marble pattern I would prefer that that would for whatever reason was a lot higher try so we just went

With the lightest flooring that we can find they want a glue

around the Edges

You can always beautiful meet you

Check them out yeah. Yeah, and look you're going to like it. Oh, I love it

Now wow, they're big. I don't know why I would realize they're so big they're fun that I'm gonna make your seat belt

there's a top hard plastic coating to the top of this it's not like who's

This boys going to clean up real nice when it's right there

I thought it would look really corny

But I thought well we could be pattern easy to clean and it's got a foam

and it's not gray can we get a drill too and we'll

Open up our thing and kind of see where we need to cut I'm going to build a square

tram Dad right on inside of here

Down okay stop there to end off instead of Mass

And then kind of all the jobs that we've done on this building so far this one's my favorite. Maybe you can play oh

Good, I just cut this morning off dreams of the woods. Oh going to the wood. That's okay

It's gonna be because yeah, you want to paint over notice. That's a really ocd cracker dude

I'm having a heart attack. It's enopp key

You know what the cool thing about someone singing off-key is what it makes you realize how?

Good the people singing Arc on k are yeah it also makes you lament. If that one person is in the choir

amazing I

Love it to my surprise. It's um it actually looks really really good has a vinyl top on it

So you can kind of clean it off you need to and so that's the nice things that lock on it

You clean it slips up nice you're not very expensive, and you think - is it one gets ruined this replaces of another yeah

I don't know how you know how long it lasts, and how well it will hold that, but I guess we'll see scooter tries

Or were about?

Too much left

We got to turn on the hall

notice these and and Those I

Think having some metal here getting ready to create the brackets that are going to hold 30 bit up there

just getting fabricated now will get cleaned up and then the bracket will go from here over and

Then we'll tie them together and put them on

Good yeah

Yeah, hey, sit. This is comfy

Notice how the crossbars would yeah, dad likes it a lot better than that. Oh

No, yes, Dad is going to be really mad at himself push

Dad you did your boo-boo. Can you fix it rise? We won't even tell him

We just finished our muse art studio. Let's go. Take a look around

Welcome to my here's art studio

Today should you like to show off your corner?

Technically this is my work area and that is my work area, but we like to say that is everyone work area

But this one's specifically designated to walk sure that's not the boyfriend

Communication station, thank you fourth friend headquarters right here

This is the rocket stove here that shay and dad designed and put together and this baby's going to keep us warm

During the winter time you know since we can bake all around just walk

Right you don't even need my Sara spending extras are more today

Our cousin action was actually the first one to sleep in the murphy bed

Good, okay. Let's rock and roll downstairs to the studio part of the studio

You'll actually probably notice these sound different from upstairs to here

So we're still putting in furniture, and now we do the new lighting new Sign Studio

We begin five down toners of ten of my buttery would wait here we go

What are you doing? I'm just showing how beautiful you guys look in this place. Can always count on that light

There anything else

Look at this. This is our most beautiful editor in the world

That's beautiful, ma maybe the cat eye little mom get out delightful pinky

Where's the big screen TV is a refrigerator? This is not a guy change instead of a pancake?

Oh, that's what it is a man came

It has this bold and artistic feel to it. I love the curtains and colored balls. I like being in here

Yes I just really like it and just the skylight at top just a beautiful look it still has that Modern feel those

Videos on the purpose of this building to have a place where we can think creatively?

And a place to work

You don't really realize how huge this building is it's bigger on the inside and make a doctor who reference one all right?

So let's go time

Lex light and reflects it on the inside at the bottom of the stairs. Oh if there's a little bit of top on our window

Nobody installed a little bit of a patio here and some of the gates and Entryway ramp

So that wraps up for this building 3p put it home replay you can wash all your dishes to it

. .

. live your life inside a dream

these symbols turned to green you buy whats in the window

like a bimbo whats it mean ?

so unravelled at the seems a battle, what its been

the herd has turned to cattle trained and saddled to extremes

like they built a whole regime a team of dormant thinkers

its bleeding from my pours so i ignore them, joining drinkers

friends im counting on my fingers advice from one who knows

so many keep there secrets but through sequences it shows

acts they frequently compose like fakes on radios

infliction's on their character that starts to decompose

does it matter, course i does, its just disclosed and kept a secret

like whats inside the ROSE you'll never know until you seek it

grab my weed i need some treatment these pills are counting kills

with silicon in valleys get O'malley for his skills

falser flags or just some drills they do it all for thrills

to take away your guns and own it all, with no appeals

yup .

. .

.

but NoLeads he keeps it real there's truth inside my music

these rhyme must hide the clues and all my dues just like a rubric

since elucidate my rubix but anti pharmaceutic

its seeds can be re used from different views after you use it

lower views as if they mute it in fear ill touch the masses

theyre tears that clog & smear with fog they're metaphoric glasses

but like plasma forms to gasses at last must turn to ashes

the UniVerse is Vast i took enrolment in its classes

now i tore away my mask laughing

mad man hanging from a strand

they sit and hope but low behold im holding on a rubber band

they hold me down but let me go, i'll sore atop of the lands

ill form a fist, and Fibonacci's at the top of my hand

im coming down with a slam im going Hulk on routines

as if these puny humans thinking that our futures machines

now nicotine is caffeine i see them line up like fiends

its quarter after and their boss is probably "where have they been" ..nL

. .

. .

but inside i want to scream worlds nothing what is seems

came up with no instructions from a Prime im now supreme

captured Venus as it gleams my crown is light, in beams

like Mars i had to fight i mirror lightning, now a team

wore like khaki's or some jeans inside it seldom shows

alive i chose to strive like im mcgiver

when proposed like these tribulations, rose

as so, the souls of realest more coins that there is tolls

were just survivors of severest as the dearest lay in rows

this strain inside it grows im frequent to the cemetery visiting my bro's

time to strengthen off my lows they test us i suppose

im blessed cause till my death, i left these messages

in codes time to leave the beaten road

start leaping like some toads its time to leave the sheep

these times are deep and will explode

pass these lyrics like, it flowed the past of truth is shows

that half of what your told in school is useless & exposed

i laugh cause all this uselessness is viewed from on who knows..nL
