Youtube daily report w Feb 22 2018

Hi it's Jane Fendelman! Thanks for joining me today. I want to talk about

forgiveness. Forgiveness is bullshit! So the biggest mistake that most counselors,

clergymen, religions make is they tell you forgive. And with the holidays coming

up, because this is December right now as I'm shooting this video, you're gonna be

seeing a lot of your family and old stuffs gonna come up old family stuff is

going to come up. That's why I have the antlers on is because Christmas right

now so I'm shooting this is next week. Christmas is next week it's next week

right thank you next week I don't know what day it is.

So you're gonna be seeing a lot of your friends and family members and

especially with your family when you're visiting your family. They are gonna say

shit to you like but when your old stuff comes up they're gonna say to you "get

over it" And the thing that happens with these kind of negative emotions from

historical experiences old physical mental emotional or even sexual abuse is

they resurface whenever you go back to the place or around the people where it

happened. So it's gonna resurface and people don't like talking about that

stuff that stuff's hard it's hard to talk about. And by the way if anybody

brings that stuff up to you all you have to do is just listen just get quiet and

listen and just say "oh yes that must really hurt" that's all you do okay?

And in fact if you can have the presence of mind to when you go back to visit

your family and you start trying to talk to your mom your dad your sister your

brother about something that happened and they start to try to shut you down

and they say you need to get over that or that's old news or you need to move

on or you're overreacting or just forgive them don't carry around that

resentment who's that resentment hurting them are you? It doesn't happen that way

we don't forgive first. Forgiveness comes automatically when you do what I'm gonna

tell you to do in this video okay. But if you have the presence of mind you can

say to this person that you need to talk to

"I just need you to listen." Because frankly when someone tries comes to you

and tries to talk to you about some historic event and you tell them you

need to get over get over that move on or you pat their hand and you say "it's

okay it's okay it's okay" Oh my god when I got cancer thirteen years ago it's

okay it was breast cancer everybody wonders yes these are my real breasts

Look at the video that's called "Yes They're Real." You'll see a big picture of me

wearing a powder blue shirt that says "yes they're real" you'll hear that story.

So yeah when I when I got diagnosed people would I'd see someone an old

friend or a friend I mean just you know a friend or family member and kid would

do this: "It's okay it's okay it's okay gonna be okay it's gonna be okay it's

gonna be okay.". And I was like stop it it's not gonna be okay you don't know

that, stop saying that. So you don't have to say it's gonna be okay it'll be okay

you need to get over it move on and look at the bright side be positive all they

bull shit. Stop saying all that bullshit stop it. So instead what you're gonna do

is you're just gonna listen and you're just gonna "say oh my gosh it does suck."

You're gonna validate their reality validate their feelings. That way those

feelings can move on. Like oh this is such a big man woman thing men...

Women are notorious for not letting things go. It's because we've got the big

giant corpus callosum connecting our right left hemispheres of our brains and

so we're thinking and feeling at the same time all the time that doesn't make

sense to men. And it doesn't make sense to logic grounded women. Okay but so back

to the old shit from your childhoods. When you go home from the holiday for

the holidays you're going to have stuff come up that's normal okay? When these

people tell you just move on just forgive; say you're talking to say you're

at your church and one of the priests or rabbis there say you need to just

forgive. I don't know if that's a rabbi thing that might not be a rabbi thing

rabbis maybe don't say that. That might be like a more priestly thing to say.

Forgiveness just forgive. Just forgive. So let's say

somebody raped or incested or molested you or beat you or screamed at you just

forgive. Just forgive no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no

First. The first thing you're gonna do is set healthy boundaries going forward

with everyone. Can't tell you how many counseling sessions I'm doing right now

like in the last three weeks three four weeks because I have clients who are

going home who were incested or molested by a father or stepfather or

older brother or cousin or uncle who is still in the family and still being

invited to the family gatherings even though they told their mom it happened.

And they come to me and they say Jane I'm I'm not sure how to be around this

person. How do I be around this uncle who molested me? And I'm like "don't!"

'Well my momma get really mad at me if I don't come if I say I'm not coming

because he's there.' There's your healthy boundary . 'Mom I

would love to come to the party and if uncle ........ ' Let's make up a name that couldn't

be possibly be anybody's name. Uncle.... What is it ? Taylor: "Uncle touchy" Whoo yeah yeah yeah

That's a good one yeah that's gonna make up some like uncle

antidisestablishmentarianism. But usually I actually this is another good.... I'm glad

you said that Taylor because it's another good thing I want you to do.

Jumping topics but I'll come back I promise if I don't Taylor will remind me.

I wanted to make up a very benign name for the person that assaulted you. That

violated you that abused you. I want you to make up a really benign name like

doorknob or shoehorn our code tree. Not um jerk face or asshat not like that

like a really nondescript name that means absolutely nothing.

So uncle doorknob is coming and if he's gonna be there I won't be at the

party. And if your mom freaks out then so be it.

"Yes I understand then you're".... just gonna validate her feelings just "I understand

this is upsetting for you mom but this is my healthy boundary." And then you

don't go. And yes it might be hard for a year or two for you to stand your ground

like that but if you've been trying to go along with it be a good sport, get

over it like everybody says get over it, move on, you're overreacting, you're too

sensitive. I mean it doesn't even have to be a sexual abuse it could be something

as subtle as.... oh I had a boyfriend... If you guys want to see a good thing about this

a good thing to do for this one; I have in my website store there's a video a

couple of video for a couples called

"Jealous in-laws" or "Mean Mother-in-law... "mean mother-in-law" "jealous in-laws"

Jealous In-laws I think it's what it's called. And I learned this years ago like

I was 35 I'm 58 so I don't know how many years that is. Twenty-three years ago? I think

that's 23 years. I did that math in my head Taylor thank you thank you.

It's the Toolman technique because I had this boyfriend and his mother used to

shoot hidden barbs at me at all the family parties like "Oh Gee that's such

a nice jacket it was so in style last season." So I learned this tool this

technique from my mentor Sue Gilmore

so watch that watch that if you have a beloved and you're looking for a good

way to take care of yourself and protect yourself and gently move away because

healthy boundaries of the first step in you actually healing and being able to

forgive this person. So forgiveness comes last not first and the big problem and

the big mistake that people make is they try to put forgiveness first and then

they come back to me and they say I don't understand I forgave this person

and I'm angry again or I'm attracting another person who's doing the same

thing that this person does because it does act like a magnet inside of you

until it's resolved and healed you will attract other people who will do the

same kind of abuse to you. So the first step is healthy boundaries and usually

those healthy boundaries our first enforced with anger and rage.

That's okay you need all that energy that you were

using to suppress all that denial and trying to go along with things and be a

good sport and get over it to keep all that energy down to keep all that denial

in place. Your first step is letting it out and you're gonna enforce those

healthy boundaries with anger and rage just perfectly okay it's the first step.

As you start giving yourself permission to enforce those healthy boundaries that

anger and rage relaxes into personal power. Now you're sending those

boundaries with personal power someone starts coming at you getting ready to do

that thing that that person did or you know maybe it's the abuser coming back

at a family party to I don't know put their hand on your ass or to give you

one of those backhanded compliments and instead you're gonna have this energy

that's just like "Whoa right there fucker you can't talk to me like that"

only it'll be in a real relaxed powerful way. "Stop right there" you'll just have

like a protection bubble around you "stop right there you can't talk to me like

that no no" and you will command respect and as you are commanding respect you

will start to see the woundedness in that abuser. You will begin to see them

as the damaged person and if you want to know more about this while you're there

and my website store I went and look at the audio download it's an audio

download the first one I was talking about that's a video this one's an audio

download called Healing Childhood Trauma real powerful one-hour like it's not

even 5 bucks I think it's like $4.49 so you may as well just go get them both

because they're cheap and I don't think that I think that couples video that one

was more work that wants 12 bucks I think. With the healing childhood trauma

you're going to see that once you get to these steps you know the anger and rage

the healthy boundary setting the boundary setting from personal power

then starting to see that person as damaged then you start having compassion

because you're looking at them from your throne from your seat of power. Now

you're seeing them as a wounded creature now you feel compassion. Now you start

letting them go and forgiving them then you start receiving your gifts and I

explained this all in detail on that Healing Childhood Trauma CD then you

start receiving your gifts then you start being who you really are in all

your power and glory and then you start feeling grateful for the experience I

know that's very advanced you don't have to believe me now but if especially if

you hear my Healing Childhood Trauma CD you'll understand it more clearly and

you'll be able to make it through that process that healing process more

clearly once you get to gratitude for that experience not for the experience

and not for the way that it happened but for what you got from that experience

the strength and the power and the gifts that you got from that experience then

you start feeling like apologizing to your abuser okay hold on don't leave me

I promise you this is a super high high concept but if I could get through that

process to that point you can too I am one of the greatest counselors in

Arizona. Maybe in the United States probably quite

possibly in the world. It looks great and it's because of all these traumas this

windy dark path I had to go through as a child and as a young person. Now I'm

grand now I'm shining and a lot of it is as a

direct result of those traumas that I experienced. So forgiveness isn't even

the end of the road forgiveness is a stop midway through the

process to you receiving the grand gifts that are meant for you to shine your

light and to affect the rest of us in the brilliant bright beautiful way that

you were born to do so I can't wait to meet you because I want you to post down

below in the comments and I want you to tell me Wow Jane I can't wait to find

out more about this or Wow Jane I think you're nuts

or why Jane I went through that process that you're talking about and I'm in

that place like forgiveness was like kindergarten and the where you got to

was graduate school and now you're on your doctorate okay so forgiveness isn't

even the place we want to end up. forgiveness is one tiny step

along this way along these steps to you receiving your gifts and shining your

light so one last thing I want to show you what happens when I'm really happy

my ears wiggle and just talking to you today and talking to you about these

high high concepts and knowing that now you got them I planted a seed in your

mind and your soul and your heart your spirit and you're gonna be moving

forward in this process and you're gonna say next time somebody says you need to

just forgive you're gonna say fuck forgiveness forgiveness is bullshit you

don't know what the hell you're talking about

I heard of something way bigger and better than forgiveness that would make

me really happy and my ears are wiggle for you so I love you guys thank you so

much for joining me and I'll see you in the next video can't wait to talk to you then.

How to Make Money on Amazon FBA with Private Labeling in 2018 (Jungle Scout Tutorial) - Duration: 26:24.

Hey guys.

In this video I'm going to be giving you my updated for 2018.

Step by step tutorial on how to pick money making product to private label and sell on

Amazon using the FBA program.

Even if you've watched my last years video tutorial, I do strongly recommend that you

watch this one.

Not just to see which winning item I find using my formula.

But also because I'm going to be giving some extra tips in this one too.

Now what I'm going to be teaching you how to do is to find items that have high buyer

demand, but low sell competition.

It's important when you're researching these items to note what criteria to look for.

I'm going to be giving you my exact formula to judge items by.

I'm also going to be switching back to my computer and using this formula to find a

winning item on this video.

So that you can follow along with me.

And If you stick around until the end of this video, then I will show you

how I found the manufacturer for the top rank compeitor for this product

at the time of filming this video.

You'll see how this private labeler is purchasing products for just $3.00 a unit, but then selling

it for $21.00 a unit.

That is a huge profit margin.

Let's jump straight into the video.

Step one, research a list of potential high-profit items.

In this tip we're going to be researching the item listings on Amazon and looking for

ones that meet the following criteria.

One, they have 50 reviews or less.

Two, they're selling more than 300 units a month.

Three, they have a price point of between $20 and $50.

Four, they weigh two pounds or less.

What we're trying to do here is we're trying to find an item listing that is making lots

of sales as in over $300 a month, despite having low numbers of reviews.

Because, you see, when we create an item listing to start with we're not going to have many

reviews.

We want to have proof that products still sell well in this niche, despite having low

numbers of reviews.

The reason why we have set a minimum price point to be $20 is because we still want to

be making at least a 30% profit margin after we account for manufacturing costs, shipping

costs, and Amazon FBA fees.

Both set a maximum price point to be $50 because usually our product with the high price point

is expensive to manufacture.

If it's expensive to manufacture then you're going to need to have a lot of start up money.

Think about it.

If it costs you $20 to manufacture an item.

You're selling 300 units a month.

That's $6,000 a month in inventory costs alone.

That is a lot of money up front for a beginner.

We want to focus upon items that are going to be low cost to manufacture.

The reason why we've set our maximum weight to be two points is because of the fact that

heavy items are expensive to ship.

We want to keep our shipping costs as low as possible.

We know what criteria we're looking for.

But it's very, very difficult to go through all of the items on Amazon and find winning

products that meet it.

When I made this tutorial last year, Amazon had over 480 million products listed on its

website.

Now they have 530 million.

That's a lot of product.

As I'm sure you can imagine, you simply can't go through 530 million products looking for

the best ones.

It's impossible.

Which is why we need to utilize research tools during this process.

The tool we are going to be using to massively streamline this research process and saves

us days, if not weeks of time, is the Jungle Scout product database.

Which is included in the [Webix 00:03:33] subscription.

There are multiple pricing labels for the Jungle Scout web app, but for this step we

only need the lowest cost one which is the Start Up edition.

In addition to the web app, we are going to be using the more famous Jungle Scout tour

which is the Chrome Extension.

But we're not going to be using it in this step.

We're going to be using it later in the video.

I'll have a link to how you can get Jungle Scout's tools in the video description below.

Please be aware that as an affiliate link here at Wholesale Ted, all of our YouTube

videos are free.

Affiliate links helps us keep our videos free.

Okay.

I'm going to switch over to my computer now and show you exactly how to do it.

Start out by coming to the product database inside the web app.

This tutorial is for Amazon.com.

I've selected USA from the list.

You can select other countries.

If you wanted to sell in the UK, you could select that.

But I'm going to choose the USA since it's the biggest market place.

All right.

Now it's time to select a category.

There are a lot t pick from.

To get started I recommend selecting one that you like.

I'm going to select 'Kitchen and Dining' since I'm a bit of a foodie.

Now we need to modify the filters to look for high profit, low competition products.

Come to Price.

Set the minimum to be $20 and the maximum to be $50.

Now come to Estimated Sales.

Set the minimum to be 300.

Next come to Reviews and set the maximum to be 50.

Finally set the maximum weight to be two pounds.

Click the Results Per Page button and select 200 so you don't have to sort through lots

of pages.

Then just click Search.

That's it.

Jungle Scout is now finding all the products in 'Kitchen and Dining' that meet the criteria

that we set.

Cool.

We've got our list of products.

Now we need to go through the list and filter them further.

Step two, pick the best products to analyze.

What the web app has done is it's gone through our chosen category and it's identified items

in that category that meet the criteria.

Now this is a huge help but it's still not perfect.

There is some criteria that is going to make most of the items in this list unsuitable.

It's criteria that unfortunately tool sand computers can't filter out for us.

We're going to have to go through manually and use our brains to sort through the list.

Here's the criteria we need to be looking for.

One, it is not a big brand product.

Remember when you're looking for a product that's making lots of sales despite having

low numbers of reviews, big brand products don't count.

Why?

Well, because they have an extra advantage over us.

Even though they've got low numbers of reviews people are going to purchase from them anyway

because they recognize them.

Plus, while it is okay to have a few big brand products in there that we're competing with,

we really want to pick niches where we have as few as possible.

Because again, they have an advantage over us.

Two, it won't be easy to break on transit.

Not only will this cost us money in having to replace inventory that was broken on transit.

But when customers get items that are broken.

Then they're going to be asking for refunds which is going to hurt our Sellar statistics.

Also, we're going to risk that they're going to leave negative reviews.

Stay away from products that have fiddly electronics or are made out of easy

to break materials like glass.

Two, it won't be bulky to ship.

Again this is to keep our shipping costs low so that we keep our profit margins high.

Four, it doesn't require variations.

Now don't get me wrong.

There is nothing wrong with product variations.

In fact, for some products this can greatly increase conversions.

But they are expensive.

Why?

Well, let's take t-shirts.

If you wanted to manufacture this t-shirt and sell it on Amazon.

Then you're going to have to manufacture it in extra small, small, medium, large, extra

large.

Not only will this make it more complicated when you're managing inventory, but it's going

to be expensive.

Stay away from products that require variations.

What you want to do is you want to go through manually the list of items that the Jungle

Scout product database has given you.

Figure out which ones on the list meet our criteria.

When you find a product that does, add it to your product tracker.

This is another tool included as part of your Jungle Scout web app subscription.

Now I'm going to switch back to my computer and show you how to do this.

But before I do, I have a warning for you.

I find that a lot of people make a huge mistake during this process.

Because they judge items using an additional fifth criteria.

That criteria is whether they like the item or not.

I had a very frustrating experience recently.

I was teaching this method to a couple that I know.

They were going through the list and finding items that met this criteria perfectly.

Would they add it to their Product Tracker?

No.

Instead they'd look at it and they'd make comments like, "Oh, it's not interesting enough."

Or, "Oh, I don't like it."

They'd skip over it.

Please, please, please do not judge items by whether you think they are interesting

or whether you like them.

When you're selling on Amazon listen to the numbers.

Just because you don't have an interest in a product doesn't mean that someone else doesn't

want to buy it.

It's the biggest mistake that newbies make when they start selling online.

They try to pick items that they like and that they think will sell well.

Don't do that.

Take your emotions out of this.

Listen to the data.

It shows you what people actually want to buy.

Not what you think that they want to buy.

Okay.

With that out of the way, let me switch back to my computer and show you the step by step

process on how to do this.

Okay.

Let's do this.

I'm interested in this product.

It looks easy to manufacture and it isn't made from easy to make materials.

Plus it isn't from a big, well known brand which is perfect.

I'm going to click this button to add it to my Product Tracker.

When successfully added you'll get a success message.

I'm just going to scroll down now and look for another promising product to analyze.

Okay.

Here's an example of a bad product.

First of all it's from a well known brand Anchor.

A big part of why it's getting lots of sales despite small number of reviews will be the

brand.

Not because competition is low.

Plus it's made from glass, which is easy to break on transit.

We want to focus on products made from sturdy materials like plastics, stainless steel.

Or soft materials like nylon.

Let's keep scrolling down and look for more items.

Don't get discouraged if this process takes a long time or you have to try different categories.

It's absolutely normal and a good thing.

Since it means that there is a barrier to entry which helps protect your product and

business from being copied.

Now this one looks interesting.

It's made from plastic which won't easily break and it's not from a big brand.

This is a generic, private label brand someone has created.

I can see that they've made different color variants but it wouldn't be necessary if we

produced one in a neutral color like black.

I'm going to add this item to my product tracker.

As you can see, it was successfully added.

All right.

We've got two products to analyze which we've added to our product tracker to make it easy

to keep track of.

It's time to move on to the next step.

Step three, analyze the competition.

All right.

We know that our items have potential because we can see there is at least one seller that

is selling over 300 units a month of it despite having low numbers of reviews.

But that isn't enough.

We now need to go through the list and see if there are multiple sellers that are selling

lots of units a month, despite having low numbers of reviews.

This is for two reasons.

Of course, first of all, it indicates that the seller competition is low.

But just as important, it indicates that there is plenty of buyer activity and lots of market

depth.

To analyze the competition, we're now going to be using the Jungle Scout Chrome extension.

There are two versions of this.

I really love the Pro Extension and I use it over time when doing research on Amazon.

I highly recommend it if you can afford it.

But for this tutorial, you will only need the Lite version.

What we're going to do is we're going to take each of the items that we added to our Product

Tracker.

Then look at the top 10 competitors for that product and analyze them based upon the following

criteria.

One, the price on average should be $20 or more.

You want to look at a product and take the top 10 competitors for it.

See if on average they're selling it for $20 or more.

Again this is crucial because when we launch our product we want to be pricing at at least

$20.

So that we have plenty of room for profit after manufacturing costs, shipping costs,

and Amazon FBA fees.

But if we see on average that the price poin is below this, then it's going to be very

difficult for us to come into the market, price our item at $20, and still remain competitive.

It means then that if a product doesn't meet this criteria then unfortunately we're going

to have to throw it away and look for an item that does have a higher price point.

Two, we want to see that the top 10 sellers are selling at least 3,000 units plus a month

collectively.

Market depth is crucial.

We want to see that there are lots of buyers out there that want to purchase our product.

Go through the list of the top 10 sellers and add up all of the units that they are

selling.

If it's below 3,000 units then the market depth is not strong enough.

Three, we want to see that at least half of the sellers are selling 300 plus units a month.

While market depth is very important it's utterly useless, if there is one seller selling

2,000 units a month but the other nine sellers fighting over the scraps.

We want to see that there isn't just one big brand out there dominating all of the sales

and stealing them for themselves.

We need to see that at least half the sellers in the top 10 are selling 300 plus units a

month.

Because it indicates that buyers are willing to purchase from multiple merchants.

Four, we want to see at least one seller in the top five competitors that has 50 reviews

or less.

Go through the top five competitors on the list and see if there is one seller in them

that has 50 reviews or less.

Five, we want there to be at least three sellers in the top 10 competitors with 50 reviews

or less.

Of course, in addition to this, we also want to see that if you take the top 10 competitors

that at least three of them in there have a product listing with 50 reviews or less.

Again, this indicates that you can still be successful selling this product even if your

listing doesn't have tons of reviews.

If the time doesn't meet this criteria then it's too competitive and it's too risky.

It's going to take time for us to build up reviews for our product.

We can't just race to 200 reviews.

Okay.

We know what we're looking for.

Let me switch back to my computer and show you the step by step process on how to do

this.

Start out on your Product Tracker.

I'm going to open the listing for the first product I added, these measuring cups, by

pressing this button.

What we're going to do is do a search on Amazon for other items that are like this.

I'm going to come to the search bar and type in "12 stainless steel measuring cups" and

do a search for it.

We'll then analyze this items competitors.

As you can see we're on the search results for this keyword.

On the search page come and click the Jungle Scout Chrome extension button in the top right

corner of your browser.

Be sure to give it time to load up and analyze the results.

All right.

Let's see if it meets our criteria for price.

As we can see, it does.

All but one listing in the top 10 for those keyword has a price point of $20 or more,

which is perfect.

Now let's analyze the sales.

Now unfortunately this item does not meet our criteria for sales.

While there are more than 3,000 sales a month being made across the top 10 products.

Less than half the results in the top 10 are selling over 300 units a month.

With the other six products making less than 100 sales a month, with three of the products

making less than five sales a month.

That is very bad.

That means this item is not suitable to private label.

But we'll continue on with the analysis anyway for the sake of this example.

Let's analyze the reviews.

We can see that one of the items in the top five results has 50 reviews or less, which

is good.

It has more than three products in the top 10 results with 50 reviews or less.

On the surface it looks good until you realize that three out of four of those listings are

making five sales or less a month.

Not so good.

Unfortunately this item is not suitable to private label and sell.

Let's switch back to the Product Tracker and analyze the next item.

See if that will meet our criteria.

Okay.

Now we're going to analyze this leak proof lunch box.

I'm going to open up the Amazon item listing for it.

Once again, come to the search bar.

Do a search for a keyword related to the item that you are analyzing like I am doing here.

As you can see we've loaded up the search results for the key word "leak proof lunch

box."

Once again, click the Jungle Scout Chrome extension button in the top right corner of

the browser.

Again, be patient, letting the results load.

Let's start out by analyzing price.

Yes, only one item in the top 10 results has a price point below $20 which is perfect.

It means that we will easily be able to charge at least $20.

Okay.

Let's analyze the sales.

Yes, it meets this criteria too.

The top 10 results are collectively selling over 3,000 units a month.

More than a half are selling over 300 units each a month.

The other item listings that aren't selling this much are still selling over 100 units

a month each.

The sales are spreading through the listings, which is great.

Now let's analyze the reviews.

It meets the criteria of having at least one item in the top five results with 50 reviews

or less, with two item listings meeting that criteria.

There are four items in the top 10 results with 50 reviews or less, which is exactly

what we want.

As you can see, this would be a fantastic item to private label and sell.

Having high demand, but having low competition.

Awesome.

We've found a great product to private label and manufacture and sell on Amazon using the

FBA program.

I've actually got a bonus step for those of you out there that have some extra money and

time to invest into the research process.

It isn't necessary but it's still good to do.

Bonus step, analyze the SEO competition.

My subscribers here at Wholesale Ted will know that I love free search engine traffic.

Luckily, when you're selling on Amazon it's a free, organize, search engine traffic that's

going to be making you most of your sales.

The vast, vast majority of your sales are going to be made by people coming into the

search bar, typing in relevant keywords for your item, and then it being on the fit page

of results.

Now there are multiple factors that make some listings appear on the first page and some

not.

One of the factors is of course using your key word throughout the listing.

That is important.

But that is a huge factor that Amazon looks at, is how high converting your product page

is.

A high converting product page will have awesome pictures, a great title, fantastic bullet

points and an excellent product description.

Ideally what we really want to find is a product that meets our other criteria but also has

a bunch of competitors that don't have optimized product listings.

That means that even though we're new to the market, we can come in, great a better listing

than our competitors and get a slight edge over them.

To do this I use the Niche Hunter which is a tool included only in the Standard and Business

editions of the Jungle Scout web app.

Unfortunately it isn't included with the lowest cost subscription, the Start Up which is why

this is a bonus step.

But if you can afford it, it's well worth it.

What the Jungle Scout team have done is they've created something called the Quality Page

Score, which analyzes all these factors and helps you figure out if your competitors are

well optimized or not.

What we want to do is we want to type in our products into the Niche Hunter.

Then we want to look at the key words that it gives us and see that there is at least

one key word [inaudible 00:19:38] the competitor that are targeting it, have low to medium

quality page scores.

We will then choose to optimize our listing around that specific key word because of the

fact that we know that the competitors are currently not well optimized.

It will give us an edge.

As a bonus during this step I'm also going to be showing you an example of a product

listing that is poorly optimized and then compare it to a product listing that is very

well optimized.

So that you don't make any of these mistakes for yourself.

All right.

Let me switch over to my computer and show you exactly how to do this.

Okay.

This here is the Niche Hunter.

Let's use it to analyze key word competition.

Come down here and type in the key word you want to analyze.

I'm going to type in "leak proof lunchbox."

Then click the Search button.

The Niche Hunter has given me two common [searchful 00:20:29] phrases for this.

You can see that changing the order of the words makes quite a big difference.

On average products rank for the key word "lunch box leak proof" are making more sales,

indicating more people search for that key word.

Which does mean overall more buyers.

You'd think that you should target that right?

But take a look at the competition.

The products for the keyword "leak proof lunch box" are far less competitive than for "lunch

box leak proof."

Even though the latter keyword gets more sales, it's better for beginners to go after the

easier keyword.

Interestingly enough, the listing quality score for both key words is quite similar.

This wouldn't be the deciding factor but the significant difference in competition means

most people should pick "leak proof lunch box" as their primary key word.

Let me show you why some Amazon product listings have higher quality scores than other.

Let's open up our chosen key word.

All right.

That lunchbox that we found at the start of this video has a listing quality score of

74.

Not bad, but let's open up that listing to see why it doesn't have a higher score and

how it could've been better optimized.

It has multiple pictures showing the product from different angles.

That is very good, but the pictures aren't in high enough quality to zoom in on which

is bad.

Being able to zoom in on pictures is important for converting customers.

Now the title is descriptive and key word rich, which is good.

However if we go and take a look at the bullet points you can see that it looks like a gigantic

wall of ticks that is difficult to read.

This would be hurting the products conversions.

Don't key word stuff if it means you create an unreadable wall of ticks like this.

Finally, scrolling down, we'll check out the product description.

A lot of people make mistakes with their product descriptions on Amazon.

Here is the product description.

This is bad.

I'm going to be honest.

It is short and does not include any pictures in it.

It's also very poorly written.

Just reading it now, "the heat release valve prevents the container of suctioning and being

difficult to open due to hot contents."

That is not well written at all.

This poor description will very much be hurting the quality score for this listing.

Let's compare this to a super optimized product listing.

Jungle Sticks created by the founders of Jungle Scout.

As you can see they've uploaded lots of images showing the product at different angles which

is excellent.

Plus they've uploaded images in high enough quality to zoom in on.

Which is again very important for converting potential customers into buyers.

Looking at their title, it's nice and descriptive.

Coming to their bullet points, they are very easy and clear to read while still being descriptive

at the same time.

Now let's scroll down and check out their product description.

As you can see, this is fantastic.

It is descriptive, well written, and importantly it has pictures in it.

This is a fantastic item listing.

If you manufactured and created your own leak proof lunch box.

Then made a listing for it that was like this.

It should convert much higher than your competitors.

All right.

There we go.

We know that if we can pick the right key word to build our listing around, that has

competitors that are not well optimized, that we can come and create a better product listing

and get an edge over them.

Before I close off this video I just want to show all the skeptics out there how easy

it is to find a manufacture, to private label the products that you find using this formula.

At the time of making this video the top ranked competitor for leaked proof lunchboxes was

a private label brand called Modetro.

With a little bit of research I was able to uncover the manufacturer that this merchant

on Amazon was using.

They were purchasing the items from them at dirt cheap prices and then reselling them

for huge profits.

Trust me, finding this manufacturer was a lot simpler than you might think.

Let me switch back to my computer and show you my super sneaky detective skills.

I've come to Amazon and done a search for the top listing of our chosen key word.

This listing here is the top ranked non sponsored product.

It's a top result in the Amazon organic search results.

Okay.

Let's switch over to Alibaba and see if we can find the manufacturer for this item.

I've come to Alibaba and I'm going to do a search for "slim bento lunch box leak proof."

Let's see how hard it will be to find this supplier for this item.

Look at that.

Here is the exact same lunchbox listed on Amazon.

Pictures are the same and everything.

This Amazon merchant would be buying it for $3.00 a piece and then selling it on Amazon

for $21.95.

A great mark up.

As you can see.

Finding suppliers on Alibaba is very easy.

See, easier than you might think.

I've actually made a free YouTube video on how to find suppliers with Alibaba.

I will have a link to that video in the description below.

There you go.

That is my three step, or four step process if you're following my bonus step, formula

for finding high profit, low competition items to private label and sell on Amazon.

If you would like to follow along with this tutorial and find your own winning items.

You'll find a link on how to get both the Jungle Scout web app, and the Jungle Scout

Chrome extension, in the video description below.

Athletes learn Korean culture, spend time with loved ones and tour around host cities - Duration: 2:51.

From training for their events, pumping iron in the gym to the actual competitions.

Athletes from around the world are in PyeongChang to win medals,... but between the sporting

action and their preparations, they have time for some R&R as well.

Our Lee Ji-won takes a look at what some of the athletes get up to in their downtime.

The Olympic Festival Park has been offering visitors a lot of entertainment including

food stalls with Korean cuisine.

And among the visitors it's attracted is the Brazilian bobsleigh team.

Before their competition starts next week, the team dropped by the area to learn more

about the host country, Korea, while mentally preparing themselves for the challenge ahead.

"We try to open our minds and not think about the competition and training.

We try to relax and enjoy the place we are in.

It's really nice because we talked with a lot of Koreans and they ask us about Brazil

and we ask about Korean culture, music and food.

It is really nice to know a little bit about Koreans."

Other athletes, like the bobsledders, also find time between training and competing to

take a break and enjoy themselves,... normally by going shopping or watching games.

Some spend time with their loved ones, who've traveled a long way to cheer for them, like

Australian cross-country skier Phillip Bellingham.

Though Bellingham doesn't have as much free time as some of the other athletes, he took

the day off to thank his family for their support and share the moment with them.

"It's a nice place to be out and meet my family and experience the Korean culture and catch

up with friends.

It wouldn't be the same without having them here, it means a lot to me.

That they are here cheering me on and that they get to see me at this level of competition.

It's awesome."

Many athletes also go on tours of the host cities.

A popular destination is Gangneung's Gyeongpo beach.

For skier Lee Mee-hyun, of Team Korea, this walk by the beach has all the more meaning

because she's spent most of her life in the U.S.

"It's the first time coming to a Korean beach so I wanted to come see it for myself.

I haven't been to a beach in a while and just being here in Korea's beach is even better

because it's the water that surrounds my birth country.

It feels so good."

The Olympics is where athletes show the results of years of hard work.

But it's also a chance to make friends and memories for a lifetime.

How 4 Free Throws RUINED This NBA Star's Career - Duration: 4:37.

This NBA player was a key player in an NBA finals run.

But 4 free throws changed his career and life forever.

What is up dudes, dudettes, ballers, players, it's ya boi MJ.

Today I want to talk about How 4 Free throws ruined Nick Anderson's career.

It is a sad story of a career falling out.

Let me know in the comments, what other stories do you want to see?

Also, who's your favorite 90s player.

Drop a like if you like these stories.

Alright let's get into it.

Nick Anderson was a deadly shooter on the Orlando Magic.

In his third season, he averaged 19.9 points per game.

In the 94-95 season, the Magic, with Shaq and Penny, reached the NBA finals.

Nick Anderson was shooting 41% from 3.

They were pitted against the veteran Houston Rockets.

It's Game 1 in the 1995 NBA finals.

The Magic are up by 20, but the Rockets chip away at the lead, cutting it to 3 with 10.5

seconds left on the clock.

Nick Anderson is at the line.

He was shooting 70% from the free throw line for the season.

You might not have expected Anderson to make both, but all he needed to do was to make

1 free throw.

Just 1 and the Magic probably win Game 1.

Anderson misses both, but then he grabs the rebound and got fouled again.

He had 2 more free throws.

Just one and the Magic win, but he didn't.

He missed both again.

The Rockets grabbed the rebound, Kenny Smith hit a three to send the game into overtime

and the Rockets would win the game in OT.

The Magic were demoralized for the rest of the series.

They would lose the next 3 games and the Rockets would win the championship.

While no single player should get blamed for losing a series, it was pretty hard not to

blame Nick Anderson.

While his teammates never explicitly stated it was his fault, Shaq has joked about Anderson

just making 1 free throw.

But these cases are no joke.

They the real deal with awesome sports designs so check out athletic cases in the description.

They're clutch.

Missing free throws like that really affected Nick Anderson.

Nick Anderson would have nightmares about the 4 free throws.

He said "It affected the way I played," "It affected the way I lived.

It played in my head like a recorder – over and over again."

His play would decline.

The next season was a normal season for Anderson, shooting 39% from 3, averaging 14 per game.

He also shot 69% from the free throw line and no I'm not making a 69 jokes.

It all eventually took a toll on Anderson.

When Shaq left the Magic, Anderson felt partly responsible.

He blamed himself.

If the Magic had been competitive in that finals series or even won, Shaq might have

stayed on the Magic.

As soon as Shaq left, Anderson's father told Anderson that "you know your championships

just went to LA.

"

The 96-97 season just showed Nick Anderson's breakdown.

He shot less than 40% from the field and a terrible 40% from the free throw.

He was such an important player on the Orlando Magic.

But after those free throws, he couldn't be kept in at the end of games because he

wasn't dependable at the free throw line.

His career went on a downward spiral.

He would stay on the Magic for a few years and then have unmemorable years on the Kings

and Grizzlies.

His free throw percentages would range from 40-63%.

Nick Anderson knows that it affected him mentally and that cost him a promising career.

Even if his point averages would hover around 14, he was a shell of the player he was before.

It's just crazy to see how 4 free throws destroyed an NBA player's career, but what

do you think?

Would the Magic have won a championship if Nick Anderson had made those free throws?

Who's your favorite 90s player?

Let me know in the comments down below.

Drop a like if you liked this video.

Let's aim for more than 4 likes for more than 4 free throws.

Every like is one more free throw Nick Anderson could have made.

Video Games You Should Never Play By Yourself - Duration: 6:25.

It's dark, it's late, and there's some hesitation to pushing the start button on your next digital

nightmare.

Do you really want to play this game alone?

We've all been there.

There's nothing to be ashamed about.

Just like the greatest scary movies are better to witness with others in the room, so are

some of the best terrifying video games.

"Sweet Sebastian Bach, I wanna play!" "Miller, you signed in yet?"

"I'm here."

"Alright, let's boot it up!"

PT (Silent Hills)

Released only in demo form, PT was a mysterious new spookfest crafted by the pseudonymous

7780s Studios.

Players were dropped into seemingly innocuous hallway that repeated on a loop, while a spectral

woman laughed and chased them through her home.

Radio transmissions recalled murderous events.

A fetus talked to players in a bathroom sink.

And then things got really weird.

"His six-year-old daughter had the good sense to hide in the bathroom."

[Spooky grunting]

Early players were thrilled that there was a new horror game coming to the PlayStation

4, and PT earned more fans when players learned it was actually hype for a new Silent Hill

game from the minds of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro.

Unfortunately, Konami and Kojima Productions parted ways before Silent Hills could be completed,

and this demo is all we ever got.

Siren: Blood Curse

A 2008 re-imagining of the cult favorite Siren series, Siren: Blood Curse is an episodic

narrative told through the perspectives of a half-dozen different characters.

Players find themselves in the middle of an ancient ritual, complete with sacrifices,

the undead, and nightmare creatures straight out of a Junji Ito manga.

In addition to being crazy-scary every time a new creature appeared out of thin air with

its soulless, bloody eyes, the episodic nature of Blood Curse makes it perfect for binge-playing

with friends.

Dead Space

Developed by EA's Redwood Studios, which went on to become Visceral Games, Dead Space is

a brilliant third-person, action-horror game that terrifies players from the moment they

step foot on the USG Ishimura.

As engineer Isaac Clarke, gamers go head-to-head with the necromorphs.

These creatures were once human, but were infected by a massive, ancient spire that

seemingly has a connection straight to your worst visions of the monster in the closet.

Not only are necromorphs nasty creatures, they have to be dismembered in order to be

vanquished.

While it's a great and innovative video game mechanic, it makes every encounter a white-knuckle

battle.

[Alien roaring] "Yeah, well there's not.

There's nobody here."

Layers of Fear

Bloober Team's Layers of Fear is an unexpectedly chilling delight that follows a disturbed

artist as he tries to complete his masterpiece.

Players have to explore his home to discover how to finish this painting, and uncover a

great mystery as the story progresses.

Layers of Fear isn't chock full of monsters or things trying to kill you, but it's an

eerie experience, loaded with scares.

The painter protagonist goes more than a little bit mad, and his artworks are horrific and

violent affairs that would give anyone staring at them goosebumps.

Exploring darkened halls of a Victorian manor never felt so tense.

[Ominous music] [Anguished, scary moaning]

Until Dawn

Originally conceived as a PlayStation 3 game with a heavy focus on Move controls, Until

Dawn finally hit the PlayStation 4 in 2015 with Hollywood stars like Rami Malek and Hayden

Panettiere appearing in the trope-filled slasher.

All of the gameplay is pretty simple, with quick-time events making up the bulk of interactivity,

so even more casual gamers can get in on Until Dawn without feeling too pressured to perform.

What's more, failure doesn't result in a game over, but instead just leads down another

path towards one of Until Dawn's numerous alternate endings.

Resident Evil VII: Biohazard

Eschewing the familiar third-person style the Resident Evil franchise was known for,

Capcom instead went with a first-person experience for Resident Evil VII.

As if that wasn't tense enough, the PlayStation 4 version features VR support, meaning you

can be fully immersed in the world of the fantastically freaky Baker family.

As everyman Ethan Winters, players travel to the creepy Baker homestead in an attempt

to find your missing wife.

With set pieces inspired by The Thing and the Saw movies, and a dark mystery to uncover

at the heart of it all, you've got a game that seriously rights the course of a once

wayward franchise.

It's also very hard to play when the sun goes down.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

As a re-imagining of the original Silent Hill, Shattered Memories puts players back in the

role of Harry Mason as he searches for his daughter after a car crash.

Armed with only a flashlight and his cellphone, Harry must solve puzzles and explore the abandoned

depths of a snowy town, while also dealing with being transported to the alternate nightmare

dimension.

There's no combat in Shattered Memories, so you can only evade Silent Hill's monsters…or

else find yourself trapped forever in the nightmare realm.

If all that isn't creepy enough, the game also incorporates the Wii controller to act

as a cellphone, with messages and calls coming through the device's speaker, all a little

too close to home.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Set in the 1800s, Amnesia: The Dark Descent puts players in the role of an amnesiac named

Daniel who must escape from the depths of an old castle.

Oh, and Daniel must also manage his sanity by not spending too much time in the shadows

and dark, otherwise he hallucinates, making his escape that much more difficult.

The audio and visual cues that creep into Daniel's mind makes discerning safety from

real danger nearly impossible…

[high-pitched humming]

...with terrors becoming more visceral the longer players spend on the wrong end of sanity.

Uncovering the truth behind the horrors increases the tension, but it also gives players a reason

to keep going even if they're absolutely out of their minds.

Or are they?

Bloodborne

A great deal of horror games focus on mythic undead monsters, but Bloodborne's Lovecraftian

influences give it a much more creative creepiness.

There are very few games that feature bosses as uneasy on the eyes as the Blood-starved

Beast, Ebrietas, and The One, Reborn.

At least with Lovecraft, you know you're getting a tentacle monster or two.

Bloodborne's bosses scoff at such simplistic nether-gods.

If you don't have 65 skulls popping out of glowing orifices, each with their own mutated

baby brain, you aren't tough enough to make it in the land of Yharnam.

10 MINDFUL HACKS You Can Use To Be LESS STRESSED - Duration: 8:39.

Heya playa, are you super stressed out about school and life and your relationships and

you just want to get a better handle on it all?

Well, I know 10 specific things that you can do to be less stressed and more mindful to

help you tackle the things in your life way better.

I'll share those 10 things with you right after this.

The is The Josh Speaks.

You're watching The Josh Speaks.

For those of you that are new here, my name is Josh and every single Monday through Friday

I make videos sharing tips, ideas and stories teaching you how to be your best self and

when it comes to being less stressed, there are small little things that you can do day

to day to help you kind of get out of that mindset.

The first thing you can do is to meditate.

A lot of people look at meditation as this weird thing where you sit on the pillow and

go "hum".

But it doesn't have to be, meditation can be something as simple as sitting down one

day and focusing on your breathing.

Being very aware of what's going on around you and kind of letting the moment sink in.

You can do this at any time that you want, for me, I like to do this while I wash the

dishes.

I like to focus on the warm water hitting my hands, I like to focus on cleaning the

dishes and putting them away, the silence around me, being in that moment.

Meditation is something you can easily do, you just gotta allow yourself to break out

of that stigma as to what you think it is and really redefine it for yourself.

The second thing you can do is to be present, how many times have you went to travel somewhere

and your mind was just not in that moment.

You were thinking about a million other things.

A test you have to study for, talking to your crush, meeting up with your friends later,

but you weren't really actively being in that moment.

You weren't feeling your feet touch the ground as you walked, you weren't smelling the air

around you, you weren't kind of just feeling your clothes on your body.

There are a lot of things you can do to be more present and part of that is just being

aware of what's happening.

The more aware you are, the easier it'll be for you to stop worrying and to start just

living.

The third thing you can do is to watch your urges.

We all have minor bad things that we like to do, for me, it's biting my nails but for

some people, it might be other things like scratching your forearm or just kind of indulging

in things that they know aren't good for them.

The key here is not to just tell yourself you're bad for doing them, but to be mindful

and watch them.

To see that whenever you're in that moment doing it to be aware of it, to recognize and

say "Hey, I'm doing this right now.

Is this something I want to be doing?"

And if it's not, be ok with the idea of recognizing it and trying your best to move away.

You're not going to do it every single time and you're not gonna catch it every single

time but being aware of it will kind of allow you to let it go and stop it even easier.

The fourth thing is to watch our expectations, we all carry expectations of other people

and of ourselves.

Whenever we do something for someone, we want them to react in a certain way and if they

don't, it might make us upset.

Or we carry expectations for yourself where we want ourselves to perform at a certain

level and if we fall short, we feel like we're failures.

So like I said before, you're not always going to catch it and stop it and prevent it from

happening but be mindful, watch it when it does happen.

When you see yourself kind of holding someone else to this expectation level, try to recognize

that and try to work on that, tell yourself "Hey, I know that I'm doing this and this

is something I want to let go.

I want to accept people and myself for who we are."

And that oddly enough leads us to the fifth point which is to accept people for who they

are.

We always have this golden standard for how we want people to act but we have to recognize

where everyone is.

So for example, if you have a friend that's very grumpy in the morning, maybe it's because

they haven't eaten breakfast, maybe it's because they're worried about something going on at

home.

Try to accept people where they are and part of doing that is to kind of learn a little

bit more about their story.

Learn what they're going through rather than you jumping to conclusions and deciding for

them, they're a jerk, they're mean, they're a bad person.

If you accept people as they are, it becomes way easier to be less stressed out about the

things that they choose to do in their lives.

The sixth thing you can do is to embrace the discomfort that you experience.

No one wants to be put in a situation where they're uncomfortable, however being about

to push your boundaries a little bit every single time will actually help you grow as

a person.

So what that really means is don't get stuck in a lifestyle and in a rut where you're constantly

doing the same thing over and over because it's safe and easy.

It's ok to be in situations where you feel a little uncomfortable.

Sometimes it's good to push yourself because you end up learning on the spot.

You end up learning how to manage those type of situations and the type of connections

you have with other people.

So whether you're uncomfortable around your crush, in front of your parents talking about

certain topics, doing certain things in school, be open to that discomfort and challenge yourself

to stretch a little bit more.

The seventh thing is to be curious about the world, there's so much out there that you

don't know.

So, being open and inviting to learning new ideas, to challenging your own concepts and

to just being curious about the things you encounter will help you kind of develop a

thicker skin and a better sense of being because you're going to be less stuck in your own

ways and more open to the idea of accepting that maybe you're wrong sometimes.

Maybe there is something you can learn from someone else.

And maybe there are ways for you to actively grow.

The eighth thing we can do is to practice gratitude.

It can become easier for us sometimes to complain about the things that we don't have and the

things that we want but it's important to be grateful for the things that we do actively

have.

Recognize that you have a roof over your head, you have parents or people that love you and

take care of you, you have shoes that you could put on that you could walk and travel

to school with, clothes to wear.

You know you can come home at the end of the night and sleep in a bed.

Recognizing the importance of these things will really help you take into account man,

life is tough sometimes but at least I have these basic needs taken care of.

And because these basic needs are taken care of, I don't have to worry about them, I don't

have to stress out about those things.

So, practice that level of gratitude, recognize the things that you do have and really really

be aware about them.

The ninth thing you can do is to let go of control.

I think this is what stresses people out the most.

They want to control every step in their life.

How they do in school, what their relationships are like, everything.

But, the truth of the matter is that you only have so much control over how things work

out.

The best thing you can do is to try your best to navigate through the situations, you're

gonna have highs and you're gonna have lows.

Your pitfalls are not going to be there to define you but they are experiences that you

can learn from and grow from as well.

So when you do kind of experience these moments where you're down and you're hurt and you

feel like you're at a loss of control, Recognize that that's normal.

You don't always have to be on top of things 100% and always get them right.

That's just not realistic.

And the tenth thing you can do to be more mindful and less stressed is to be compassionate.

Not just towards other people but also towards yourself.

It's ok to check in with yourself sometimes and to ask things like "how am I feeling?",

"do I need to take a nap?", "do I need to go eat?", "should I share my feelings with

my friends?".

Check in with yourself and see how you're doing, also be compassionate towards other

people.

Recognizing that everyone is doing their best with what they know.

Some people are struggling more than others and it may lead them to react in a negative

way or to do something mean.

Don't always take everything that happens as direction towards you.

Sometimes it's just people kind of letting things out without any kind of thought process

to it.

So the best thing you can do is to recognize that you don't have to be perfect.

You can fail sometimes, you can mess up, you can miss things, you can forget things.

It's ok, as long as you're willing to accept yourself for who you are and be compassionate

to how you approach the world, I think you'll eliminate your stress so much more.

One of the major reasons why we're so stressed out in the first place is because we're not

willing to put ourselves first.

To really think about ourselves, to think how we can take care of ourselves.

Because when you're able to take care of yourself, you're then able to help other people in this

world.

Kindness works from inside out so be willing to spread that kindness as best as you can.

And now I want to know, what are some of the things that are really stressing you out in

life?

Leave your comments down below and we'll talk about it.

If you're dealing with a stressful situation and you want to talk about it in a more private

setting, you can always shoot me a DM over on Snapchat or Instagram.

I do my best to answer as many messages as I can.

Thank you so much for watching but remember that the learning doesn't end here.

Check out the videos over on the side if you want to learn a little bit more about mindfulness

and meditation, managing stress and anxiety.

All these different factors in our lives, these things that are kind of bringing us

down are things we can actively work on.

So, let's work on them together.

I want to help you guys get there.

As always, love and peace.

Issue Spotting - Duration: 6:51.

Welcome to LearnLawBetter.

Are you having problems with issue spotting?

Want to do better on this important exam skill?

Stay to the end as I provide you with 8 strategies to help you get better grades.

Don't forget to hit the like button if you enjoy the episode, and click the subscribe

button and bell if you don't want to miss any future episodes.

Hi, this is Beau Baez, and today I want to discuss issue spotting.

After grading thousands of law school essays and talking to students later, I've noticed

a few things.

Specifically, most students who didn't do well on an exam thought they knew the law,

even though they really didn't.

What I want to do is first provide you with a few pre-exam day strategies, and then I'll

move to some strategies you can use during the exam.

One: outline.

You should create your own outline, otherwise you will inoculate yourself from true learning.

Think of it this way.

You plan to swim out to an island a mile out at sea.

You practice in your swimming pool, but that isn't going to help you with the waves,

tides, and currents you will encounter in the ocean.

Making your outline is not about the outline itself. It's about the learning process you go through.

in creating the outline.

If it was about the outline itself, you could buy one commercially and be just fine.

Two: relationships.

You need to understand how legal concepts are

related to each other.

Yesterday, I received an email from a student asking me how she should write a negligence

essay that was also testing on vicarious liability.

Her question made it clear to me that she didn't understand vicarious liability at

a deep level.

To develop mastery of the law, use the elaborative interrogation technique.

This technique allows you to make connections between related ideas, and help you find gaps in your

knowledge.

Three: checklist.

If you have an open book exam, create a checklist, which is also called a skeletal outline.

The outline should list each of the items in your rule outline, but with no definitions.

You will be able to see all of the possible issues on the open exam quickly.

Four: practice.

Do practice essays and multiple choice questions.

A few years ago I decided to add multiple choice questions--bar exam style--to my exams. I noticed

a strong correlation between the multiple choice component of the exam, and the essay component.

So if you are having problems with multiple choice questions, you may have problems with

issue spotting as well.

To master the law you not only need to take practice exams, but you need feedback from a professor,

academic support professional, a private tutor, or your study group.

Alright, its exam day, you've studied, and are ready to go.

Here are some strategies to use on exam day.

Five: prewrite.

When you get the exam, spend about 20% of the time thinking and prewriting your answer.

Scientific studies show that students who think and organize first, outperform those

that just start writing.

This is because students that start writing, they miss issues, or worse yet, they forget issues

that they initially spotted when they read the essay.

Six: examine each fact.

Each fact on an essay question is there for one of three reasons: it's necessary for

the issue, it provides background, or it is there to throw you off.

For each sentence, you need to make a quick determination on which category it falls into.

Background sentences are usually easy to spot.

The real challenge is distinguishing issues from non-issues.

My recommendation is that you place a mark by sentences you believe are not necessary

to answer the question, and then come back to them one more time before you start writing.

Ask yourself if there is any possible issue that could be implicated by these sentences.

Seven: ask questions.

After reading the facts, ask yourself a series of questions.

For example, on a torts exam: is this an intentional tort, is this negligence, or

does this sentence involve proximate cause. Basically you're going through the issues in the class very quickly.

Or on a criminal law exam with a homicide, are the elements for 1st degree murder present,

do I see 2nd degree murder, or involuntary manslaughter.

By asking questions, you will begin to see the issues, which will help you on the exam.

Eight: weak issues.

Often times, students believe that only issues that are clearly defined by the facts should

be discussed.

That's a mistake.

If some facts implicate an issue, then discuss it.

Now at some point you do have to exercise discretion as to what is important and not important.

If it doesn't look very important, it's probably not.

But during an exam, you get worried.

In those situations, discuss these unimportant issues, but just don't spend a lot of time on

them—just a few sentences.

Also, some exams are designed for you to spot lots of issues, while other exams are designed

for only a few issues.

If you have an issue spotter exam, something with 15, 20, 30 issues,

then your goal is to spew out as many issues as you can.

This is why it is important to review an old exam from your professor, if you can get one.

As I wrap up this episode, let me leave you with my thoughts on the most important strategy,

and that is practice.

Practice exams, along with feedback, will help you to expose gaps in your knowledge.

So begin practicing your exam skills at the beginning of the semester—don't wait till

the end.

Lucy Lewis Can't Lose Season 2 Ep 4 of 5 - Duration: 8:19.

Yay. Another day at the high school from hell.

Hey, Lucy loser.

This time that is accurate.

I see your lame protest went viral.

All thanks to my cult following.

You're the notorious Hills Highs and Lows Instagrammer?

Um, the world's biggest duh.

I should have known.

It is super mean and judgey.

Thank you.

Actually I thought your protest was not entirely uncool.

Us girls do need to stick together, right?

(Sfx School Announcement)

After yesterday's protest by Lucy Lewis and associates.

I have decided Hills High will no longer have a dress code.

Nice work, Lucy Lewis.

Wait for it...

It seems that Hills High will now have to have a uniform.

Bad work, Lucy loser.

Oh, Lucy sucks is trending already.

Yay.

I heard Lucy Lewis did it on purpose.

I heard she do it because she's like, you know dis..

.. illusioned.

I heard she did it because the Principal is like, secretly her mother.

I heard she's not having the best week.

I heard the uniform is gonna be based on the Principal's old school uniform.

from like, the 1900s.

And girls are going to have to kneel on the ground

and if the the skirt doesn't touch the floor

they gonna have to wear a scarlet letter

and to clean the school hall with a toothbrush!

But not an electric one!

Lucy Lewis sucks.

What Katherine Mansfield is really trying to say

is that the social prejudice towards marginalised women is so...

... not ideal.

I'm gonna stop you there.

This would work way better

if you just do my homework for me?

Coolness?

No, not coolness.

You sure about that?

Yes?

She said confidently.

You know, I think my friends and followers

would be very interested in seeing a lot more of Lucy loser.

That sounds vaguely threatening.

No, not so vague.

S word.

Spoiler alert J'ess is the Hills Highs and Lows Instagrammer.

You're dressed weird?

I've decided not to stand out anymore.

But that's what makes Ruby, Ruby.

Ruby.

Thanks repeato girl.

Speaking of gossip.

Left-handed Louise asked Dave out.

You mean, Louise with the perfect teeth and symmetrical figure?

Yep. She likes the fact that he's a feminist.

Yay for Dave.

(Sfx phone alerts)

What?

Don't freak out...

I can't make any promises.

There's a photo of you on Instagram that looks like you peed your pants.

But that only happened like, two seconds ago!

And it's not wee.

What is she? Some kind of social media super villain?

Your hair looks good?

J'ess is trying to bully me into doing her homework.

Maybe I should just do it?

Tena koe, Lucy (formal Maori greeting)

Greetings David, how's Louise?

How did you...?

(Sfx School Announcement)

I'm starting to hate that sound.

Since not everyone's happy with the

Lucy Lewis instigated uniform,

I've decided to hold a student uniform design competition!

Who's going to enter that?

The winning design will become the Hills High uniform

and the winner will earn an extra week's school holiday!

Oh, everybody.

Hi, so can you like, not enter that competition?

Yeah, because everything you touch turns to poop.

And we wouldn't want you having another... accident.

It was just water!

So, Dave has a girlfriend, not that I care.

the uniform is my fault,

and J'ess posted a photo of me that infers I wet my pants.

Incontinence can be a cruel mistress.

I didn't actually, wait how did you know?

I saw it on Instagram, dear.

Hashtag oops.

Are you tutoring today?

Nope, just some light depression followed by regret

and if I've got time, gentle weeping.

Sounds lovely.

This might cheer you up?

Hills High: A School To Learn Things At.

Thanks, but I already read some of this in detention.

It's not exactly a page-turner.

I think you might find it's got quite a clever twist at the end.

OK?

Hey Lucy.

Hey Stella.

Wait, are you talking to me?

Obviously.

But I'm the least popular girl on the face of the Earth.

A. That's a lazy exaggeration.

B. I don't care what other people think.

And C. I'm fine with a uniform as long as it's fair on everyone.

You're very wise, you know?

Well, I am a direct descendant of the founders of Hills High.

My great-grandfather was the first to be suspended.

For wearing suspenders.

They did have a lot of guidelines based around pantaloons.

Are those pants made out of balloons?

That's what Ruby said.

Our founders were strange and unusual.

Later, Limpy Lewis.

That is a twist.

I'm entering the uniform competition!

Because you're so into fashion?

Clearly not.

But I have an idea and I need you two to be my models.

Do I have to wear a dress?

No.

I'm not the classic model... height.

Doesn't matter, it's an emperor's new clothes type deal.

Isn't that the one where the guy gets conned into walking nude in front of everyone?

Yep.

Don't worry, there won't be any actual nudity.

So, you in?

Guys! It's just a metaphor!

Don't run from the disabled kid!!

Guys!!!

And I need you two to be... something.

College

My baby's off to college To gather all the knowledge

There is to get I will have to let

You go And know

That I have trained you well But I can already tell

This will be a long few years for me But your study

Takes time So for now I will have to be fine

With this empty nest I confess

I will miss you And be unsure what to do

With an empty house But I will find out

How to not worry I feel like I was in such a hurry

For you to grow up But now I worry others will corrupt

You, don't give into peer pressure And never ever

Do drugs Because it can be laced with something you

don't know of Even if you think it's something light

Don't do it because you never know who might Have processed it wrong

Don't even do beer pong You're too young to drink

And don't think You won't get caught

B/c if I ever get a call from the cops About you

There will be some serious explaining to do On your end

But aside from that make plenty of friends And remember that when this experience ends

You are always welcome back home And when you feel alone

I'm just one phone Call away.

The End.

BREAKING News From CNN - Duration: 4:06.

BREAKING News From CNN.

Since the moment the news broke that yet another horrific mass shooting had taken place in

America, this time in Parkland, Florida, the mainstream media has been quick to blame private

gun ownership while heavily promoting those that are pushing gun control.

No network has shown their leftist leanings more than CNN, which has gone into full blown

overdrive in their around the clock anti-gun coverage, with the first 7 articles on their

homepage, including their featured story, all attacking the NRA and promoting leftist

gun control causes.

The featured story was a direct attack on the NRA itself as it contained a sort of "name

and shame" list of Florida politicians who were terrible people responsible for children

dying because they had taken money from the National Rifle Association.

Interestingly, the piece was marketed as an actual news report while openly promoting

and admitting that the authors of the article were anti-gun activists themselves!

Nearly a week after a gunman stormed the hallways of their school in a deadly rampage, students

from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School are heading to Florida's state Capitol to

demand lawmakers take action on gun control.

Meanwhile, gun control advocates are putting pressure on Florida representatives who take

money from the National Rifle Association.

Here's a list of members of Congress from Florida who received contributions during

the 2016 election cycle from the group's political action committee, the National Rifle

Association Political Victory Fund.

All of them are Republicans.

It does not get more blatant than that.

The reporters literally note that gun control advocates are putting pressure on Florida

representatives then they themselves put pressure on said politicians by actually creating a

list with all their names and the amount of money they took.

Keep in mind that the so-called reporters for CNN, who are so busy worrying about 3,000

dollar donations, are also purposefully ignoring the hundreds of millions of dollars that the

anti-gun left has put into gun control measures throughout the country.

As Clifford Cunningham noted, the entire establishment is conducting a massive psychological campaign

against the NRA and the tens of millions of gun owners across the United States.

This includes the supposedly non-partisan Florida school shooting survivors who have

parroted Democratic talking points for the last week.

Supposedly apolitical student activists who survived the high school shooting in Parkland,

Florida wasted little time in attacking the NRA, with one suggesting the organization

supports "child murderers" and another calling for it to disband.

"Here's a time to talk about gun control: March 24.

My message for the people in office is: You're either with us or against us.

We are losing our lives while the adults are playing around," declared high school student

Cameron Kasky in an interview with CNN.

Another student demanded the organization immediately disband, while claiming politicians

who receive campaign contributions from the NRA are "accepting blood money" and are

"against the children."

"Disband, dismantle … don't make another organization under a different name.

Don't you dare come back here," said student Emma Gonzalez.

"The fact that you were in power for so long and that you had so much influence for

so long in America just goes to show how much time and effort we still need to spend on

fixing our country."

She also noted gun control "is just the first thing" they are focused on – leading

one to question just how non-partisan their supposedly apolitical grassroots activism

really is.

Make no mistake, this is a clear cut operation to limit and then eventually ban private gun

ownership in America, all under the guise of protecting children who the anti-gun left

are only too happy to use for their partisan political objectives.

One can only hope that the majority of Americans see through this obvious propaganda campaign

and continue to support the absolutely fundamental right to bear arms.

What do you think about this?
