Youtube daily report w Feb 22 2018

Assassin's Creed Origins launched an interesting update to the game recently called "Discovery

Tour".

The mode is pretty much an entirely new game, although, one which takes a stark departure

from the base game.

Discovery Tour features no combat and was designed primarily so that players could explore

the amazing world of Ancient Egypt without trouble.

The devs put a lot of time and effort into faithfully recreating the world and, with

this mode, players can delve into the world at their leisure and see all of the ancient

sites.

However, it now seems that the devs had to comprise a little when it comes to the historical

accuracy.

As was earlier today reported by the website Rock Paper Shotgun, the mode censors all nude

states by placing seashells over bare female chests and male crotches.

Ubisoft has gone on record saying that a big focus for the mode was its potential for learning

in schools.

They have reportedly been in contact with numerous academics ever since the first game

and the games are apparently used a lot in history classes - this new mode is designed

to improve on this experience even further.

It was speculated that this may have been the reason for covering up the statues.

Especially considering the base game is rated mature and doesn't just feature characters

with topless nudity but also sex scenes.

We now have a statement about this, obtained by the website Kotaku, where Ubisoft explains:

"Discovery Tour was created to offer the maximum amount of people from various ages

and cultural backgrounds the ability to visit the long lost world of Ancient Egypt and learn

about its history.

We worked hand in hand with educators and academic institutions to tailor the content

to be suited for every audience, including younger students, taking into account cultural

sensitivities that can be different from one country to another."

This statement clarifies that Ubisoft was not only concerned about young students, but

also different country's cultures where showing nudity can be more an issue.

Discovery Tour is now out as a free download for all owners of Assassin's Creed Origins.

It is also available as a standalone purchase exclusively on PC and at a reduced price of

19.99 USD.

Until next time, thank you for watching.

2018 Mini Cooper S E Countryman Plug-In Hybrid Review | Edmunds - Duration: 8:20.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

SPEAKER: What we have here is the all-new 2018 MINI

Countryman SE Hybrid.

It's a bit of a mouthful.

So let's break it down.

MINI-- it's got all the personality.

It's got all the style that you expect from MINI.

Countryman-- the Countryman is the biggest vehicle they make,

and it's still actually a compact SUV.

S-- that means it's slightly sportier.

It's got a little more power than the base Countryman.

And the E hybrid-- well, it's a plug-in hybrid.

It has about 12 miles of EV range

and goes up to highway speeds.

Now, the average commute is about 15 miles,

according to the DOT.

So if you have a slightly shorter commute than average,

you'll hardly ever have to fill it with gas.

The question is, is it as fun as a regular MINI?

There's only one way to find out.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

Up front under the hood, we have the base engine,

which is a three cylinder that powers only the front wheels.

The difference here is in the back is an electric motor that

drives the rear wheels.

And the battery pack is underneath the rear seats.

The combined power output between the internal combustion

engine and the electric motor is 221 horsepower.

That's only seven horsepower less than the top-of-the-line

performance focused John Cooper Works edition.

More importantly is this actually has more torque

than the John Cooper Works, but it's focused more

towards efficiency.

I'm in EV mode right now.

And if I were to give it a lot more pedal, let's say,

to pass slower traffic, it'd kick in

with the internal combustion engine.

So here we go.

And I really didn't feel that engine start up.

It just kind of provided this nice shove.

Right down here I have a toggle switch

with the E Drive logo on it.

And what that does is-- well, I can

switch between the normal, automatic mode where

it automatically switches between electric and gasoline

power, or I could switch to EV only mode, which will not

activate the gas engine unless you really give it some pedal.

And then there's a save mode here,

which actually gives more priority

to charging the battery.

So the auto E Drive is the way to go.

One thing that's different about this versus other hybrids,

though, is I don't get the big readout or a good indication

of what the drivetrain is doing.

It's just a picture of the Countryman

with an arrow in the front showing that you're moving,

and it will light up with the rear wheels

if you're using electric only, or if you're using the gas,

it will light up with red lights in the front wheels.

It's really subtle on the screen.

So you have to look fairly closely.

Additionally, there's not a whole lot

of information on this particular screen

as far as how much EV range you have left

or how much power you're using.

You have to go to a different screen for that

in a different part of the menu.

I feel like they could have combined those two

screens to give you a better indication of what

the hybrid system's doing.

You do feel a subtle transition from brake region

to using the actual brake pads, though.

It's almost like it gets a little mushy

at the top of the brake pedal stroke,

and then as you slow down or as you give it

more pedal pressure, there's a little more resistance.

That's when you start feeling the pads start to grab.

My colleagues have commented that there

are more issues at low parking lot speeds

where they can be a little grabby, a little abrupt.

And on the flip side of that, when you're on the highway

and you need to get on the brakes,

they can feel somewhat disconcertingly light.

And at our test track, this came to a stop from 60 miles an hour

in 140 feet.

That's actually a long distance nowadays.

The typical car will brake under about 120 feet.

So that 20 feet could be the difference

between stopping in time or tapping the bumper

of the car in front of you.

In most aspects, the SE hybrid drives like any other MINI

Cooper.

It's compact.

It's got a small footprint, which

means it's really easy to maneuver into a tight spot.

I am noticing a lot more road noise,

but that might just be down to the fact

that there's no internal combustion engine running right

now to help drown that out.

The suspension is a little stiff compared to its competition,

and that gives you that connectedness,

that sporty feel that kind of instills confidence

for handling.

And in many ways, it handles just

like a regular MINI, which is tuned

for more fun than comfort.

That said, it is still very comfortable.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

The interior of the Countryman is exactly what

you'd expect from MINI.

It's got all the charm, but it has

evolved with better, sturdier, and more attractive materials.

These sport seats-- they're very, very comfortable

and supportive.

But the side bolsters, if I was wider, that might be a problem.

Everything-- or almost everything

falls into place perfectly-- all the switches on the steering

wheel, for the window, and, of course,

it's got toggle switches instead of buttons and knobs.

I like it.

It's functional, yet attractive.

When I said almost everything falls to hand,

the infotainment still serves to be a little bit

of an annoyance for me.

In order to use it, you have to push this center armrest down

to its lowest point.

And that means that it's not even with the door arm rest,

but it is a good system overall.

As big as this center ring is, I feel

like they're not making use of all the available real estate

here, but at least it's functional and easy to use.

Visibility-wise, it's actually really good.

I have an incredible view outward, even behind me.

Now, if I were to turn around, you're

blocked slightly by the thick rear roof pillar,

but it's got a standard rearview camera.

It takes all the guesswork out.

Another thing that helps with visibility

is it has a built-in head-up display.

It's got this flip-up plastic bit

that reflects back into you.

And if you don't like them, just hit a switch,

and it'll fold right back down into the dash.

As far as interior storage, it's a little limiting.

Under the center armrest is a very, very small bin

that's pretty much made just for smartphones,

but it does have a wireless charging bed there.

Underneath, a little bit of a pocket, not that useful.

The door pockets-- they're a little shallow,

but there is a pocket especially made for water bottles.

Cup holders, they're on the small side,

and there's a small bin there as well.

It should do fine for most people.

Overall, it's a really nice, attractive cabin

to spend time in.

From the back seat, there's actually

a decent amount of room.

That feeling of spaciousness up front

translates back here really nicely.

I feel like I'm slightly elevated,

which gives me a nice view right out the windshield as well.

Maybe gets in the way a little bit,

but that's a really minor complaint.

I do wish that there was an armrest in the center,

but nothing folds out of here.

I have more than enough room under the seat for my knees.

And if I sit all the way back, my hair's

maybe brushing the headliner, but not a problem.

I'd be fine back here for a road trip.

These seats do recline slightly, even

though I was just reclined.

The more upright position is like this.

And even this isn't objectionable,

but obviously it's better if you can slide back a little.

Normally, with crossovers this size

you expect a pretty small and limiting cargo space.

Not the case with the Countryman.

That's actually a sizable space.

One thing, though, this pack full of household charger,

adapter cords--

there's no good place to store it.

You have underfloor storage, but it doesn't fit there.

The thing is you probably don't need it anyway

because you have a gasoline engine,

and it's a standard charge port anyway.

I'd say leave it at home.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

To answer the question, is it fun, actually yes,

it is fun, and not just because it's a hybrid.

It has a lot of that personality that you expect

from MINI with driver engagement and just enough power

to have fun but not enough to get you in trouble.

I would actually consider getting

one of these for myself.

It fits my lifestyle just fine.

It compares well against other fun-to-drive SUVs

like the Mazda CX3, as well as the BMW X1 and forthcoming X2.

If you're looking for something a little more

environmentally friendly, though, there

are some options that include the Kia Niro as well as the Kia

Soul EV.

Science is BROKEN, and the peer review process produces "utter b - Duration: 23:45.

Science is BROKEN, and the peer-review process produces utter bulls##t parading around

as real science

Much of what gets published in so-called science journals or medical journals is actually

complete bulls##t, warn many observers. Brendan D. Murphy has authored a spectacular

piece published by Waking Times, offering astonishing details in support of that notion.

His full article is reprinted here. Find the original at this link. See more work by Brendan

Murphy at BrendanMurphy.net.

WHY SCIENTIFIC PEER REVIEW IS A SHAM In recent years the defects in the peer review

system have been the subject of a profusion of critical editorials and studies in the

literature. It is high time that the world took heed of what the critics are saying,

not least of all because of the medical and health ramifications.

The notion of peer review has long occupied special territory in the world of science.

However, investigation of suppressed innovations, inventions, treatments, cures, and so on,

rapidly reveals that the peer review system is arguably better at one thing above all

others: censorship. This can mean censorship of everything from contrarian viewpoints to

innovations that render favored dogmas, products, or services obsolete (economic threats).

The problem is endemic, as many scientists have learned the hard way.

In truth, the systemic failure of peer review is one of sciences major, embarrassing

open secrets.

As Dr David Kaplan tells us, [P]eer review is known to engender bias, incompetence, excessive

expense, ineffectiveness, and corruption. A surfeit of publications has documented the

deficiencies of this system.[1]

Australian physicist Brian Martin elaborates in his excellent article Strategies for Dissenting

Scientists:

Certain sorts of innovation are welcome in science, when they fall within established

frameworks and do not threaten vested interests. But aside from this sort of routine innovation,

science has many similarities to systems of dogma. Dissenters are not welcome. They are

ignored, rejected, and sometimes attacked.[2]

Electric universe researcher and Big Bang critic Wal Thornhill (a REAL scientist) stated

plainly in our GFM Media interview that the peer review system amounts to censorship.

Fellow independent scientist Gary Novak agrees scathingly:

Peer review is a form of censorship, which is tyranny over the mind. Censorship does

not purify; it corruptsThere is a lot of junk science and trash that goes through the

peer review process.[3]

Brian Martin asks us rhetorically:

What do [scientists] have to gain by spending time helping an outsider? Most likely, the

alleged discovery will turn out to be pointless or wrong from the standard point of view.

If the outsider has made a genuine discovery, that means the outsider would win rewards

at the expense of those already in the field who have invested years of effort in the conventional

ideas.[4]

Herein lies the problem in moving science forward and shifting paradigms. A paradigm

is only as malleable (or mutable) as the minds and egos invested in it.

The Problem of Experts The reality is (as any real scientist will

tell you) that scientists are prone??just like lay people??to being cathected to

their pet theories and opinions, especially if they have been visibly rewarded or publicly

obtained accolades or financial remuneration as a result. Scientists, like laypeople, have

susceptible emotional bodies and often fairly hefty egos??partially due to their expertise

and academic titles, qualifications, theories, etc.

Once those hefty egos??belonging to people generally known as experts??rise

to positions of power and/or influence, they can calcify the flow of scientific progress

as well as the understanding of new discoveries or theories??particularly if they end up

acting as peer reviewers at high levels in prestigious publications. In that capacity,

too many become mere gatekeepers and seek not to facilitate innovation or vital new

Copernican-scale revelations, but to maintain the status quo which got them there in the

first place.

Dr Malcolm Kendrick comments in his excellent book Doctoring Data that, by definition,

anyone who is an expert in an area of medicine will be a supporter of whatever dogma

holds sway.[5]Close study of power dynamics in medicine bears this out. The players with

the deepest pockets have the funds to buy all of the experts they need to sell

a bogus product or ideology to an unsuspecting public.

Consider the following words from The Lancets editor Richard Horton (pictured below):

The mistake, of course, is to have thought that peer review was any more than a crude

means of discovering the acceptability??not the validity??of a new findingWe portray

peer review to the public as a quasi-sacred process that helps to make science our most

objective truth teller. But we know that the system of peer review is biased, unjust, unaccountable,

incomplete, easily fixed, often insulting, usually ignorant, occasionally foolish, and

frequently wrong

The Lancets editor Richard Horton

Peer review, as a quasi-sacred process that somehow supposedly transcends the foibles

and follies human nature has taken on sacred ritual status. Has the paper been blessed

by the Peer Review Priest? Peer review is held to be more than just pragmatically useful

and functional (which clearly it is not, generally speaking)??it is held as a transcendent,

almost magical, organizing force occurring in the heavenly ivory towers of Science, which

somehow avoids falling prey to human weaknesses by virtue of those humans lofty qualifications

as scientists or experts.

Scientists, of course, arent quite human??they are something more, something pure, something

that the layman can never be. Students undergo a magical alchemical process as they proceed

through educational institutions and emerge transformed from their chrysalis with their

doctorates, masters, stethoscopes and equations. They are the Chosen Ones, the purified, the

holy, the redeemed, the righteous. They do not have to answer to the lowly non-scientific

peasantry let alone unbelieving heretics.

It is clear, however, that not only is the popular view of peer review misleading, but

the most prestigious publications are some of the very worst offenders. Significant scientific

publications??for example, the journal Nature??have a well documented history

of prejudice against findings or hypotheses that run contrary to established scientific

dogma.

Writing in the British Medical Journal (BMJ) in May 2000, Canadian-based researcher, David

Sackett, said that he would never again lecture, write, or referee anything to do

with evidence based clinical practice, over his concern that experts are stifling

new ideas. He wants the retirement of experts to be made compulsory and I think its a

brilliant proposition.

Sackett says that progress towards the truth is impaired in the presence of an expert.[7]

Trusting experts in oncology, for example, is generally a very good way to artificially

speed ones trip to the grave, particularly if one has metastatic cancer (allopathic medicine

is notoriously ineffective in that realm). And yet experts are now on a rarified

level that perhaps only popes and celebrities can understand??they are virtually demigods

today.

In the main, experts are those people in the establishment who espouse the mainstream

dogma and reify the politically correct belief structures. Experts are lionized because

the world that made them experts promotes and validates them when they affirm the already

established (and profitable) beliefs??and the media is complicit in this. If you want

to be horribly misled on any number of important issues, just head straight to just about any

mainstream news media outlet and listen to the establishments experts.

Is it not time to get the crusty, rigidified, and corrupt Old Guard out of the way so we

can let science move forward?

Is Most Research Just Bullshit? Harvard Medical Schools Dr. Marcia Angell

is the former Editor-in-Chief at the New England Journal of Medicine, where she spent twenty

years poring over scientific papers, saturated in the dubious practices that pervade the

world of medical research. She states bluntly:

It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published,

or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take

no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades

as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.[8]

Most experts in medicine are, psychologically speaking, simply engaged in well-paid groupthink

and confirmation bias exercises, vigorously affirming and defending their egos (lucrative)

construction of the world. To paraphrase physicist Max Planck, medicine, like science, advances

one funeral at a time.

Once the public has accepted the scientific establishments truths, narratives, and

designated experts then researchers who yield findings deviating from the accepted

norm can be immediately branded as crackpots, lunatics, fringe nuts, pseudo-scientists and

so on, regardless of how meticulous their methods, and irrefutable their results.

The media is crucial in this control dynamic because it sells the establishments reality.

Thus is the politically correct status quo maintained.

Peer Review Lets Garbage Through??and Lots of it!

Peer review censorship exemplifies the neophobia in the world of science which serves

to protect the status quo rather than improve knowledge by weeding out dubious epistemologies

and results, as it is meant to. This supposed mechanism of quality control has resulted

not only in the dismissal of much important and credible research, but it has also let

fraudulent research and lots of it!??be published at the same time. Papers that appear

to support fashionable ideas or entrenched dogmas are likely to fare well, even if they

are badly flawed??or outright rubbish!

David Kaplan, a professor of pathology at the Case Western Reserve University School

of Medicine in Cleveland, has stated that,

Peer review is broken. It needs to be overhauled, not just tinkered with. The incentives should

be changed so that: authors are more satisfied and more likely to produce better work, the

reviewing is more transparent and honest, and journals do not have to manage an unwieldy

and corrupt system that produces disaffection and misses out on innovation

Is it any wonder that John Ionnidis reported in his famous 2005 paper that, Most research

findings are false for most research designs and for most fields? Given the already

outlined problems, is it really surprising that, in Ionnidis words, Claimed research

findings may often be simply accurate measures of the prevailing bias?[10]

Dr. Marc Girard, a mathematician and physician who serves on the editorial board of Medicine

Veritas (The Journal of Medical Truth), has written,

The reason for this disaster is too clear: the power of money. In academic institutions,

the current dynamics of research is more favourable to the ability of getting grants??collecting

money and spending it??than to scientific imagination or creativity.[11]

In general, peer reviewers??generally not time-rich??dont try to replicate experiments

and rarely even request the raw data supporting a papers conclusions. Who has the time

for all that? Thus, peer review is, according to Richard Smith writing in Peer review in

health sciences,

thought to be slow, expensive, profligate of academic time, highly subjective, prone

to bias, easily abused, poor at detecting gross defects, and almost useless for detecting

fraud.[12] (emphasis added)

What about fake peer review? This is where the corrupt and abysmal becomes the theatre

of the absurd. For example, Berlin-based Springer Nature, who publishes the aforementioned Naturejournal

announced the retraction of 64 articles in 10 journals in an August 18th statement in

2015. This followed an internal investigation which found fabricated peer-review write-ups

linked to the articles.

The purge followed similar discoveries of fake peer review by several other major

publishers, including London-based BioMed Central, an arm of Springer, which began retracting

43 articles in March citing reviews from fabricated reviewers.[13]

Yes, that means reviewers that dont exist??recommended as reviewers by the people submitting

their work for review. Imagine writing a paper and being able to nominate a non-existent

person to review your work, and the contact email supplied to the publisher for this purpose

is actually one you made up, which routes the paper back to you (unbeknownst to the

publisher), so that you can then secretly carry out a (favourable) review of your own

work under a pseudonym!

Its being done, folks, this is not a joke.

In response to fake peer review some publishers have actually ended the practice of author-suggested

reviewers

And now for the Conceptual Penis Recently two scientists performed a brilliant

Sokal-style hoax on the journal Cogent Social Sciences. Under the pen names Jamie Lindsay

and Peter Boyle, and writing for the fictitious Southeast Independent Social

Research Group, Peter Boghossian and James Lindsay wrote a deliberately absurd paper

loosely composed in the style of post-structuralist discursive gender theory??what exactly

that is they made no attempt to find out.

The authors tell us:

The paper was ridiculous by intention, essentially arguing that penises shouldnt be thought

of as male genital organs but as damaging social constructionsWe assumed that if

we were merely clear in our moral implications that maleness is intrinsically bad and that

the penis is somehow at the root of it, we could get the paper published in a respectable

journal.[15] (emphasis added)

And they did. After completing the paper, and being unable to identify what it was actually

about, it was deemed a success and ready for submission, which went ahead in April 2017.

It was published the next month after some editorial feedback and additional tweaking.

To illustrate how deliberately absurd the paper is, a quote is in order:

We conclude that penises are not best understood as the male sexual organ, or as a male reproductive

organ, but instead as an enacted social construct that is both damaging and problematic for

society and future generations and is the conceptual driver behind much of climate change.[16]

In plain English, they (seemingly) argued here that a penis is not a male sexual organ

but a social construct; the conceptual penis is problematic for gender (and

reproductive) identity, as well as being the conceptual driver of climate change.

No, really. How this ever got published is something to ponder. The paper is filled with

meaningless jargon, arrant nonsense, and references to fake papers and authors.

As part of the hoax, none of the sources that were cited were even read by the hoaxers.

As Boghossian and Lindsay point out, it never should have been published. No one??not

even Boghossian and Lindsay??knows what it is actually saying.

Almost a third of the sources cited in the original version of the paper point to fake

sources, such as created by Postmodern Generator, making mock of how absurdly easy it is to

execute this kind of hoax, especially, the authors add, in academic fields corrupted

by postmodernism.[17] (emphasis added)

The Spectacular Success of Hoax Papers and Non-existent Authors

In April 2010, Cyril Labb of Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France, used a computer

program called SCIgen to create 102 fake papers under the pseudonym of Ike Antkare. SCIgen

was created in 2005 by researchers at MIT in Cambridge in order to demonstrate that

conferences would accept such nonsenseas well as to amuse themselves.

Labb added the bogus papers to the Google Scholar database, which boosted Ike Antkares

h-index, a measure of published output, to 94??at the time, making Antkare the worlds

21st most highly cited scientist.[18] (emphasis added)

So a non-existent scientist has achieved the distinction of being one of the worlds

most highly cited authors??while authoring papers consisting of utter gibberish. Congratulations

are certainly in order. In February 2014 it was reported that Springer and the Institute

of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), were removing over 120 such bogus papers from

their subscription services after Labbe identified them using his own software.

Going back at least as far as 1996 journalists and researchers have been getting spoof papers

published in conferences or journals to deliberately expose weaknesses in academic quality controls.

Physicist Alan Sokal (of the famous Sokal Affair) succeeded in the journal Social Text

in 1996, while Harvard science journalist John Bohannon revealed in a 2013 issue of

Science that he had duped over 150 open-access journals into publishing a deliberately

flawed study.[19]Bohannon organized submission of the flawed study (technically, many different

but very similar variations of the study) to 304 open access journals worldwide over

a period of 10 months. 255 went through the whole editing process to the point of either

acceptance or rejection.

He wrote:

Any reviewer with more than a high-school knowledge of chemistry and the ability to

understand a basic data plot should have spotted the papers shortcomings immediately. Its

experiments are so hopelessly flawed that the results are meaningless.[20]

The hoax paper was accepted by a whopping 157 of the journals and rejected by only 98.

Of the 106 journals that did conduct peer review, fully 70% accepted the paper.[21]

If peer review was a transparent and accountable process, according to Gary Novak,

there might be a small chance of correcting some of the corruptions through truth and

criticism; but the process is cloaked in the darkness of anonymityDue to the exploitive

and corrupt process, nearly everything in science has official errors within it[A]

culture of protecting and exploiting the errors creates an official reality which cannot be

opposed.[22]

Returning specifically to the arena of (mainstream) medicine, a quote in PLoS Medicine, states:

Journals have devolved into information laundering operations for the pharmaceutical

industry, wrote Richard Horton, editor of the Lancet, in March 2004. In the same

year, Marcia Angell, former editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, lambasted

the industry for becoming primarily a marketing machine and co-opting every institution

that might stand in its wayJerry Kassirer, another former editor of the New England Journal

of Medicine, argues that the industry has deflected the moral compasses of many physicians,

and the editors of PLoS Medicine have declared that they will not become part of the cycle

of dependencybetween journals and the pharmaceutical industry.[23]

In the words of John Ionnidis, Most scientific studies are wrong, and they are wrong because

scientists are interested in funding and careers rather than truth.[24]

If most studies are wrong, and most scientists are more interested in their own careers and

funding than getting at the truth??while journals daily allow bogus and flawed pharmaceutical

research to be published and promoted??then why would anyone in their right mind believe

the claims made by doctors about the efficacy of products based upon peer review or

pharmaceutical studies? What does a term like safe and effective even mean

in this world of deception and subterfuge?

Clearly the problem of corruption and conflicts of interest have been increasingly on the

radar of professional academics for some time now, so much so that it has been the subject

of an increasing number of harshly critical articles and editorials. Conveying the depth

and breadth of deception to the uninitiated, however, presents a unique challenge. And

it isnt just conflict of interest and corruption to blame for the failure of peer review, there

is human bias, shoddy review work, fake reviewers and fraud, and varying other human interests

to factor in.

At the very least we need to cease indoctrinating students into the dogma that all good things

have been peer reviewed, and the converse: anything that has not been peer reviewed is

clearly blasphemous and crafted by the unholy hands of sinners. In the meantime, the public

needs to be warned: peer review is largely a sham and will not protect you or your family

from medical pseudo-science or dangerous pharmaceutical products. Your doctors word should not

be blindly trusted, especially when we know that doctors rely absurdly heavily on information

(read: propaganda) provided by the pharmaceutical industry itself (can you say conflicted?!)

in developing their views and opinions.

I cant help but cringe when I hear people ask if a study has been peer-reviewed.

The response this question most often deserves is simply, Who cares?

The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps

half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid

exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for

pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness.??Richard

President Trump Asks The Question About Obama And Russia That's On Everyone's Minds - Duration: 2:35.

President Trump Asks The Question About Obama And Russia That's On Everyone's Minds;

Former President Obama has done anything but slip quietly into the background since he

left office over a year ago.

In fact, he's done everything in his power to stay at the center of attention.

And while doing so he continues to stir up divisiveness in the country and keep President

Trump from accomplishing anything on his agenda.

No matter where we go we can't get away from him.

The mainstream media love him so much that they continue to brandish videos and photos

of him like he is still the president.

So with the media and half of the country, at least the liberal half, still focused on

Barack, it's leading many to ask a simple question.

And President Trump is just the first one to voice it.

Why isn't the DOJ focused on Obama at all?

From the Washington Examiner:

President Trump again asked why the Department of Justice is not investigating the Obama

administration for not doing "something" about Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

"Question: If all of the Russian meddling took place during the Obama Administration,

right up to January 20th, why aren't they the subject of the investigation?"

Good question.

And the president had a few more good questions to ask too.

"Why didn't Obama do something about the meddling?

Why aren't Dem crimes under investigation?

Ask Jeff Sessions!" the president tweeted early Monday, referring to his Attorney General

Jeff Sessions.

Of course, Jeff Sessions has recused himself from any matters related to the election,

but that doesn't stop the entire DOJ from seeking out the truth.

But we already know the reason why Obama or anyone in his administration isn't under

investigation for their part in the Russian meddling.

It's because he and his administration knew about it, did nothing because they thought

Hillary was going to win, and then when she didn't they pushed the narrative that Russian

meddling was the only reason Trump won.

And this is what the mainstream media, liberal elites, and establishment Republicans wanted

the country to think, so no one questioned Obama or anyone in his administration.

Hopefully, the DOJ will look into what part the Obama administration played in the Russia

meddling.

But of course, it's going to take some prodding from the president to get the ball rolling.

And maybe this tweet just did the trick.

what do you think about this?

SEE IT: CNN Harasses Trump Voter Screaming She's A 'RUSSIAN SPY,' Reporter Gets Screwed - Duration: 7:41.

SEE IT: CNN Harasses Trump Voter Screaming She's A 'RUSSIAN SPY,' Reporter Gets

Screwed

CNN is doing some stellar investigative reporting lately, like tracking down supporters of President

Donald Trump and trying to tie them to Russians.

This is no joke.

CNN reporter Drew Griffin went out to the home of Trump supporter Florine Goldfarb and

ambushed her right in front of her home.

He accused her of colluding with the Russians on live TV, and well, Florine wasn't going

to play that game at all.

CNN just won't give up on the bogus "Trump colluded with Russia" narrative.

They are so desperate, they are tracking down Trump supporters so they can confront them

about running a Facebook page, which may or may not have been backed by these Russian

bots or trolls.

Not content with wall to wall coverage of the evidence-free allegation that the Trump

campaign worked with shadowy Russian entities to the detriment of Hillary Clinton, the news

network is now apparently stalking private citizens.

Florine Gruen Goldfarb runs the Team Trump Broward County Facebook page, which CNN claims

"posted numerous times about events that were promoted and encouraged by the Russians."

As The Washington Free Beacon reports, "A Florida woman grew hostile with a CNN reporter

who confronted her in her front yard about promoting a pro-Donald Trump event at the

apparent behest of Russian trolls.

Florine Gruen Goldfarb runs the Facebook page for Team Trump Broward County, and the group

posted events that were promoted and encouraged by Russian trolls as part of its extensive

election meddling operation, according to reports.

One event was a 'Florida Goes Trump' flash mob."

CNN reporter Drew Griffin approached Goldfarb in the yard of her home, where she told Griffin

he was "fake news" and "part of the cover-up."

That's right, Ms. Goldfarb saw right through ole Drew Griffin.

She knew exactly what he was there for, and that was to try and make a mountain out of

what everyone else knows is a molehill.

Sure, Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 13 Russian trolls, who accomplished zero when

it came to the outcome of the election.

That's even admitted to in the indictment, which says, "did not affect the outcome

of the election."

So, why would Mueller waste taxpayers money on indicating 13 trolls who are in Russia

and will never be arrested?

Because Mueller's got nothing, and that's what Ms. Goldfarb knows too.

It seems like it is CNN who is not understanding exactly what is going on as they go out and

harass elderly women at their own homes.

What kind of news organization is this, that ambushes American citizens for no reason?

Told by Griffin that she was duped by this group, Goldfarb said, "They were not Russians.

I don't go with the Russians."

"That group was Russians," Griffin said.

"Give me a break!"

Goldfarb fires back.

"I have nothing to do with the Russians."

"Maybe you didn't know it, but you did," Griffin said.

"Oh please.

When you're talking like this, I don't want to have anything to do with you," Goldfarb

said, adding that the people with her for the events supporting President Donald Trump

were all real Trump supporters.

She went on to call Griffin's explanation "BS."

"I don't believe that.

That's bullshit," she said.

"I know all the people that were with me.

They were at my meetings.

They're all Trump supporters."

The encounter got more intense as Griffin continued to insist to Goldfarb that she was

in "electronic communication with Russians" and had written on her Facebook page nearly

verbatim the information coming from the IRA in St. Petersburg.

Goldfarb finally walked back into her house.

"You don't believe that?"

Griffin asked.

"Nope.

It's bullshit," she said, walking away.

Luckily, we have the video of their encounter, and it proves that CNN and their idiot reporter

Drew Griffin got their butts kicked by Trump supporter Florine Gruen Goldfarb.

FakenewsCNN harassing an elderly lady to try to make themselves look good and justify their

propaganda JournalismIsDead," tweeted Dr. Hart, DC.

This ambush journalism and accusing Americans of being Russians or in cahoots with the Russians

is what happened in the McCarthy era.

CNN is lucky that they ran into Ms. Goldfarb and not some Trump supporter who might see

reporter Drew Griffin's presence as unwanted and his standing on the lawn as trespassing.

He's lucky he got out of there with just a verbal smackdown.

Of course, everyone watching the interview sees him as a jackass, and rightly so.

"I just showed this to my guy who isn't on social media 1/He was mortified that they

would do this to that older woman-ambush her 2/He laughed his butt off at 'Hillary and

her Bandits,'" tweeted VK.

Oh, yes, Hillary Clinton and her bandits.

Why doesn't CNN take some time and do some investigating into Hillary and her bandits,

who sold 22% of our uranium stores to Russia?

There's your Russian collusion.

Leave the good citizens, like Ms. Goldfarb, alone.

They are the heart of this country.

How dare CNN and their crooked news network invade her privacy.

CNN is fake news.

This story proves it once and for all.

But worse, they are intimidating voters on their own private property, and make no mistake,

it's intentional.

DrDisrespectLIVE | How to Create OBS Stinger Transitions | MikeySlice's Twitch OBS Transition - Duration: 5:52.

Hello everyone my name's Mikey slice and today

I'm gonna show you how to use OBS to set up a stinger transition so that you have

Transparency in between scenes on OBS while you're streaming live on Twitch

Okay, so as you can see we're at the Google scene here. We're gonna go to what's called fiverr.com

Okay now when you're here. You're gonna want to click on find services and

Search Shounak10

S H O U N A K 10

and then it's gonna say services

Or users and you're gonna click on user names now you're gonna

See I will create a logo transition for your videos. He has a premium package

that's currently $25 it might go up who knows and

It says

Exclusive custom transition have an exclusive idea in mind talk to me and get a completely custom transition for yourself

So this is what I did I went through and

Communicated with him and got him to get exactly what I wanted so if you've referenced my name

It'll be easier for him to understand what you want and exactly how to do what you want done done it cost $25

Ya hit select

proceed to payment

Blah blah blah you guys know how to use Fiverr

it's just like any other website where you're buying a service or a product you just

Do this and then it's gonna bring you to a screen, it's gonna say to

input your logo and put

Whatever else is relevant to the transition. Yeah, make sure you do all of that

First things first we're gonna switch on over to the right desktop so that I can show you my OBS

Now what's cool is once you have this set up

you don't have to do anything all you got to do is just click on the scene and

Magically the transition just pops up and goes from scene to scene

So what you're gonna want to do is this is set on fade by default for

you guys so you're gonna want to go ahead and click on stinger and then properties and

Locate the file that you had the person that created your transition

obviously and put it where it says video file. Transition point time might be different depending on the

Transition that you have I have mine set for a thousand milliseconds

That's enough time to get the scene to stay where it's at for five hundred

Milliseconds or for a thousand milliseconds and then pop back up if you have this less than a thousand. It'll switch during

It closing and reopening

So you got to kind of play with it to make sure that the scene is?

Still there while it's closing and the new scene is there when it opens. That's what this is

That's what the transition point is all about you can change this to frame or time

I just went time because I got it perfect the first time so

Audio monitoring you can have this to monitor and output so that you can hear it, or you can just have it to set to

Monitor off so that you don't hear it. Monitor only...

There's three different settings play around with them

See which one works for you

Some people don't want to hear their transition while they're switching between scenes it's all preference from there

I do a fade out to transition point and then fade in I don't I haven't used the crossfade

I'm not sure the difference in those either, but this is just to get you set up and running

Make sure you let the person know that's making your video transition that you want it save it as a .webm file

Because it's gonna be smaller and it's gonna save the transparency in between the scenes

Okay, so you want this transition made but you don't want to go with Shounak10 fine!

I have no problem with it but not everybody is gonna know how to do these things because it's fairly new to the twitch community

DrDisrespect is the only person I've seen use them

So what I did is I purchased this gig through Fiverr

and then the person didn't know how to shrink the file size down because it was 250 megabytes the

MOV file that he sent me was 250 megabytes and

When I want to go and use it in OBS

it was really choppy and not usable at all. So I had to get that file size less than 5 megabytes. So....

Without losing much quality. So I did some googling and I ran into this video

I'll leave the link to this video also in the description. You can have the person that's making your video

or yourself. You can train yourself how to

Shrink the file size down to be able to use these in OBS

Alright, that's gonna do it for today

I just wanted to quickly show you how I use these transitions what the transitions are

how I got a made and I'm gonna leave links in the description to

Everything that I went over. To the YouTube videos to the people that made the to the person that made the transition

to

Any of my social networks just make sure to follow the links in the description

And if you have any questions feel free to comment below. Thank you

don't forget to give me a big like and hit that subscribe button up there and

Hit the bell to make sure that you get notified of my new uploads. Thanks for watching. Have a good night

- it means it will be successful. / - Exactly.

- That's what I want to believe. / - Right.

I hope that the energy

will make today's performance successful.

- It will be successful. / - Please.

(They try to calm their beating hearts.)

- Let's have fun. We can do this! / - We can do this.

(Park Daewon)

For our initial positions,

Daewon stands in the middle, and I stand behind him.

It felt so weird. I felt overwhelmed.

I want to take first place with this team.

("Question" by Giseok, Daewon, Donghyun,)

(Ungjae, Euijin, Lee Geon, and Jungha)

(They're impressed by the flower dance.)

- Did you come up with that? / - No, I didn't.

(Euijin came up with it.)

(The break-dance moves surprise them.)

It's dance break.

(Cheering)

That was so cool.

(Lee Geon)

(Daewon)

(Ungjae of Imfact)

(Giseok of IM)

(Jungha of Beatwin)

(Donghyun of Boyfriend)

(Euijin of Bigflo)

(The mentors give approving nods.)

(Even the songwriter approves too.)

"Question"!

They almost performed to perfection.

They did, didn't they?

Team Orange, great job.

Thank you.

(Thumbs up)

Euijin, it looked like

you had it under control as always.

- He was great. / - I really like your eyes.

Yes. You had expressive eyes.

When I watch Euijin's performance,

it feels like he practiced his part a lot.

Besides, you didn't have the dance break.

- It was the best move. / - I agree.

Just like other performances, when Euijin

was in the center and seemed to be

in control of the choreography,

I personally thought he looked great.

Now, let us find out

the individual rankings of Team Orange.

Please reveal the rankings.

(The rank goes Euijin, Lee Geon, Donghyun,)

(Giseok, Daewon, Ungjae, and Jungha)

Euijin.

(The rank goes Euijin, Lee Geon, Donghyun,)

(Giseok, Daewon, Ungjae, and Jungha)

(First place, Euijin)

- You guys worked really hard. / - I knew it.

- Lee Geon. / - For me, this was

especially meaningful because I got to perform

with Daewon.

So, it feels a bit weird.

I want to perform more on stage now.

You guys were great today.

- Pardon? No, no. / - Why are you crying?

(He didn't want to cry on a happy day.)

- What's wrong? / - Is it because

- he's not the first? / - No, it's not.

(He can't help but cry since a dream became reality.)

I think I'm crying tears of happiness.

The reason why we decided to join The Unit,

was to get up on stage again.

I want to perform and show the world who I am.

I came here to fulfill the absence of opportunities.

It was just so exciting being able to perform together.

I really thought of this mission to be my last.

I tried recording

and helped prepare for the performance.

I have no regrets.

(Unit B has finished all its performances.)

And now, we will reveal the rankings from

Album Production Mission.

(Feeling on edge)

I really want to be the first.

Which team received the most support

from The Unit Makers?

It's sink or swim. You're either first or last.

I believe Team Yellow will take the first place.

Team Green wants to be first.

Team Red just might come up on top.

Only being first will help me feel happy.

That's the only way we get to have the title song.

(Hoping sincerely)

In fifth place

is Red Team's "No Way".

("No Way" received 330 votes.)

(People chatter over the unbelievable result.)

- What? / - What's going on?

In fourth place

is Team White's "My Story".

("My Story" received 333 votes.)

Now, in third place

is Team Green's "Mine".

- Gosh. / - What?

(Feeling satisfied)

The remaining teams are

Team Yellow's "All Day"

and Team Orange's "Question".

Which of the two teams will seize the first place?

("All Day" had masculine charms.)

(Filled with eye candy,)

("Question" was a very elaborate performance.)

Unit B's top-ranking team is

(Which team will rank the first?)

Team Yellow.

("All Day" received 362 votes for first place.)

("Question" received 356 votes for second place.)

I'm very thankful to all our members.

I've finally beat Timoteo.

(I've finally beat Timoteo.)

I've finally beat Timoteo.

(Team Yellow's music video of "All Day")

(will be revealed.)

(Unit G's Current Rankings)

(Yena, Yoomin, Viva, Serri, Heejin,)

(Kim, Hyeyeon, Nari, Lee Bolim, Haein, Shin Jihoon,)

(Lee Juhyun, Hyosun, Anne,)

Even Pat Robertson Wants To Ban Assault Rifles Now - Duration: 5:50.

CHRISTIAN EVANGELIST PAT ROBERTSON HAD A SOMEWHAT

SURPRISING TAKE ON THE GUN CONTROL DEBATE WE ARE

HAVING, HE TENDS TO BE PRETTY CONSERVATIVE AND

TRADITIONAL AND HAS KNEE-JERK REACTIONS TO A LOT THAT'S

GOING ON BUT IN THIS CASE HE MIGHT SURPRISE YOU.

>>LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I AM A GUN OWNER, I HAVE HUNTED, I HAVE

SHOT SKEET, I HAVE GOT AWARDS WHEN I WAS IN THE MARINE CORPS

FOR SHOOTING, I HAVE NO OPPOSITION TO SHOOTING, BUT FOR

HEAVEN'S SAKE I DON'T THINK THE GENERAL POPULATION NEEDS TO HAVE

AUTOMATIC WEAPONS.

IT JUST DOESN'T HAVE TO HAVE --

>>AMEN.

>>IT DOESN'T HAVE TO HAVE RUSSIAN BUILT OR CHINESE BUILT

MACHINE GUNS.

IT JUST DOESN'T. IT'S ONE THING TO DEFEND

YOURSELF WITH A PISTOL OR SHOTGUN, TO HUNT WITH.

IT'S

SOMETHING ELSE -- AND I THINK WE COULD BAN THOSE THINGS WITHOUT

TOO MUCH TROUBLE, THEY HAVE WHAT THEY CALL THE BUMP STOCK THAT

WOULD GO AUTOMATIC -- WE CAN STOP THAT.

AND THERE HAS TO BE

SOME MEDICAL BACKGROUND CHECK, IF SOMEBODY IS SEEING A

PSYCHIATRIST, IS ON MEDICATION, HE OR SHE NEEDS TO BE PROHIBITED

FROM BEING TURNED LOOSE TO THE GENERAL POPULATION.

IT'S JUST

GOT TO BE.

IT'S SENSIBLE.

BUT AS FAR AS THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE

TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS, THE SECOND AMENDMENT, WE ARE

ALL FOR IT.

>>YOU KNOW THINGS OF GOTTEN CRAZY WHEN WE AGREE WITH PAT

ROBERTSON, OR HE AGREES WITH US.

I THINK WE ARE GETTING THERE.

IF

WE BROKE THROUGH TO PAT ROBERTSON, OR THE SHOOTINGS DID,

I THINK WE ARE NEAR THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY.

FOR THOSE OF YOU

UNFAMILIAR WITH AMERICA, BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE

COUNTRY WATCH US AS WELL, WE HAVE THE REVERSE OF WHAT YOU

PROBABLY HAVE IN YOUR COUNTRY.

AND YOUR COUNTRY PROBABLY THE

RELIGIOUS LEADERS, THE NUNS, PRIESTS, THE PREACHERS, ARE THE

FIRST TO CALL FOR NONVIOLENCE.

IN OUR COUNTRY THE PREACHERS ARE

THE LAST TO CALL FOR NONVIOLENCE.

SO IS PAT

ROBERTSON, WHO HAS BEEN FOR WAR AFTER WAR, AND DEVASTATION,

ETC., IF OUR RIGHT WING PREACHERS ARE CALLING FOR

NONVIOLENCE, WOW.

THAT MEANS WE HAVE REACHED NEAR THE BOTTOM OF

THE BARREL.

LIKE WE MIGHT ACTUALLY BEGIN TO TURN AROUND.

AND ONE QUICK POINT ABOUT WHAT HE SAID ABOUT LIMITING GUNS TO

PEOPLE WHO HAVE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, HIS STANDARD WAS ANYONE

GOING TO SEE A PSYCHIATRIST.

THAT WILL NEVER PASS, NOR SHOULD

IT PASS.

>>THAT'S WAY TOO FAR.

>>BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THE REAL STANDARD IS IN AMERICA NOW QUEST

BUT THE ONLY WAY YOU ARE BARRED FROM BUYING A GUN IS IF A COURT

HAS ADJUDICATED YOU MENTALLY INCOMPETENT AND AND CAPABLE OF

TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF, OR YOU HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN A MENTAL

HOSPITAL AGAINST YOUR WILL.

AND BY THE WAY, JUST SOME

ADJUDICATIONS OF MENTAL INCOMPETENCE IS NOT ENOUGH.

FOR

EXAMPLE SOCIAL SECURITY SAYS SOME PEOPLE ARE MENTALLY

INCOMPETENT AND CAN'T RECEIVE A SINGLE DOLLAR ON THEIR OWN, THEY

MUST HAVE SOMEONE TAKE CARE OF IT FOR THEM.

REPUBLICANS

OVERTURNED THAT LEGISLATION, SAYING THEY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO

BUY A GUN.

THEY CAN'T CONTROL THEIR OWN MONEY BUT THEY ARE

ALLOWED TO BUY AN AR-15.

A COURT HAS TO SAY YOU ARE SO MENTALLY

UNBALANCED AND UNHINGED THAT YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO BUY A GUN.

WHICH IS THE CRAZIEST STANDARD, I'M SURE IT'S THE MOST STRIDENT

STANDARD ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

SO PAT ROBERTSON HAS NO IDEA HOW

FAR AWAY HIS STANDARD IS FROM THE ACTUAL STANDARD IN AMERICA.

WE LET CRAZY PEOPLE BUY GUNS HERE ALL THE TIME.

>>I NOTICED IN THE BEGINNING OF THAT VIDEO HE EITHER DID OR HAD

TO DO THIS THING THAT YOU HAVE TO DO IN AMERICA, IF YOU WANT TO

BE ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT GUNS, LET ALONE GUN CONTROL, YOU HAVE

TO GIVE YOUR RESUME.

SO YOU DON'T GENERALLY SHOOT A LOT OF

GUNS, SO I WILL NEED YOU TO ZIP IT ON THE GUNS.

I WILL SAY I'VE

NEVER OWNED A GUN BUT MY FATHER OWNED A BUNCH, I HAD MY GUN OF

HIS, I'VE BEEN TARGET SHOOTING MANY TIMES, I'VE BEEN SKEET

SHOOTING LIKE PAT ROBERTSON, SO I'M ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT GUNS

ACCORDING TO THE TWISTED LOGIC WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTRY.

AND

NOBODY NEEDS THESE ASSAULT WEAPONS, IT'S RIDICULOUS.

IT'S

NOT JUST THE HUGE CLIPS, OR THE ACCURACY, IT'S THE INCREDIBLE

DESTRUCTIVE POWER THEY HAVE EVEN COMPARED TO SHOTGUNS AND

HANDGUNS AND THINGS LIKE THAT.

I WANT TO GIVE A TINY BIT OF

CREDIT TO ANDERSON COOPER, WHO I DON'T NORMALLY GIVE CREDIT TO,

BUT HE POINTED OUT ON HIS SHOW YESTERDAY THAT WE SANITIZE A LOT

OF THINGS IN THIS COUNTRY BUT ONE THING WE SANITIZE MORE THAN

ANYTHING ELSE IS THE EFFECT OF THESE GUNS.

PEOPLE THINK A

GUNSHOT IS A GUNSHOT, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

A GUN IS A GUN.

IT'S

NOT LIKE YOU GOT SHOT AND YOU HAVE A HOLE, THIS BLOWS BODY

PARTS OFF, IT DESTROYS TORSOS, SHATTERS SKULLS.

AND I DON'T

KNOW HOW YOU GET THROUGH TO PEOPLE, BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE

DON'T WANT TO SEE THE EFFECTS OF THIS, AND VERY FEW AMERICANS

SERVE IN THE MILITARY, BUT I THINK IF PEOPLE SAW HOW UNIQUELY

DESTRUCTIVE THESE WEAPONS ARE THEY WOULD NOT THINK THIS IS

JUST LIKE ANY OTHER WEAPON.

IT'S NOT A RHETORICAL TRICK TO CALL

IN A WEAPON OF WAR, IT LITERALLY IS IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD,

AND THANKFULLY PAT ROBERTSON IS BEING INCLUDED

IN THAT NOW.

Introducing famous Inns and spots among foreign tourists in Fukuoka.Japan in Motion S14#06 - Duration: 10:18.

Hello everyone, I'm Chiharu Higa.

Today I want to introduce a hotel which is popular among foreigners.

Let's find out why it is famous.

I will also introduce some of the surrounding tourist attractions as well.

So here I go.

Around here is a hotel famous among foreigners

The name is Kashima Honkan.

This must be it.

The atmosphere changes suddenly.

This place is right in the middle of Fukuoka,

but it feels like I have time traveled.

Hello.

What a nice building here!

Thank you very much

I heard it's very popular among foreign tourists

Yes, there are quite a lot of foreign guests.

This is the first national heritage building in Fukuoka

The Japanese style inn Kashima-Honkan.

The Taisho era roman style lobby and Sukiya style built room.

And the calm Japanese style garden

All of them built to enjoy the traditional Japanese style.

This is the indoor garden.

This is so wonderful. So beautiful.

Very traditional.

There hasn't been so much changes added

-It seems to be better that way -I can see that it's not so artificial.

That's right.

Nice scent of the Tatami mat.

This is nice.

The scent of Tatami is well appreciated.

I can see that.

I really want to relax here.

This is nice

This spot is excellent.

Our guests love it when the room faces the garden.

It's like a place where the essence of Japan is combined into one.

The guests from the western world are more from Europe than USA

France, Germany, Belgium.

And Netherlands. Quite a lot of Dutch people.

They seem to understand the magnificence of this place.

So the repeating guest abroad tells us to reserve this room

Or other specific room. They seem to know their preference.

So people who love the Japanese culture as a whole comes?

Yes, I feel people from Europe tend to be that way.

That is so enlightening.

The price for stay at this inn changes a bit by the season,

but the price starts from 8000 yen for two people.

Five minutes walk from that inn

This area has a spot where you can enjoy the culture of Hakata/Fukuoka.

That is Kushida Shrine.

This is the shrine where the Hakata Yamakasa, the festival to tell the arrival of summer is held

As it is written here, the mountain starts from here.

From the 1st to the 15th of July, the traditional festival of Hakata Gion Yamakasa is held.

The festival goes back nearly 700 years.

What catches the eyes first is this.

It is the twelve signs of Chinese zodiac.

Right now it is the year of the bird,

but it is pointing to the wild bore now.

It is said that it is pointing to the lucky zodiac of the year on this graph.

This Kushida shrine is quite popular among foreign guests.

There were a lot of tourists paying a visit this day

Where are you from?

The Netherlands.

-Holland -Holland!

Yesterday we arrived.

-Today? -By plane.

Came by plane!

-Welcome -Thank you.

Welcome

Let's enjoy.

Thank you very much.

Bye bye!

In this shrine where there are a lot of guests from abroad,

there are a lot of fortune telling draws which are written in different languages.

When you go out from here, you'll find something amazing.

I'm sure you will be surprised

The Yamasaka.

The mountain.

This is called the Kazariyama and goes 10 meters high.

It is made by Hakata doll designers.

The Kazariyama which you can only see in the festival season

can be seen only here.

So big! 10 meters!

Chiharu now visits where you can enjoy the culture and history of Fukuoka

The Furusato-kan.

Here you can enjoy one experience of Yamakasa.

It says " Do you want to carry this log?"

-I can carry this? -Yes

Here you can carry the log which is used for the Yamakasa

So Chiharu tries it for the first time.

-Here I go. Ohhh -Yes yes

Amazing. I guess you cannot put a cushion here or anything?

It's so hard that it hurts so much.

This is quite an experience.

On the second floor, you can see the artifacts made close by.

What are you making here?

That one.

Oh this one!Amazing

Hakata Hariko which is decorated inside home to bring in good luck.

Since the decoration is flashy, and the colors to be bright,

it is quite famous among tourists.

Hello

What are you making?

We have guest here today for the coloring session.

-Is it difficult? -Quite difficult.

-I don't have the skills so it's hard -You need drawing skills?

No skills needed.

-Where are you decorating it? -The entrance.

Hoping it will bring in good luck to the house

That's wonderful.

You can also buy Hakata traditional artifacts and Hakata goods in the souvenir shop right next door

This is a name card. When I open it up...

So cute.

Get the nice souvenir while enjoying the tradition and culture of Hakata.

Going around made me hungry.

Hakata is said to be where Udon started.

This Hakata Akachokobe seems to be a place to serve Hataka Udon in a different way

Let's try it out.

Udon is quite famous in Japan.

What does it mean by a strange shaped Udon?

I actually have heard about it.

A very strange Udon

But I have never eaten it. It's my first time to try it.

I'm looking very forward to this.

I wonder what it looks like

Ok, here it is.

-Oh my, it comes out like this? -Yes

Can you see this? It's in a pot.

Udon is actually in a pot.

The name for this is, Zubora Udon.

-What a name -Yes, the impact of this look is quite.

What do people react when they see this?

They sound pretty surprised when it comes out.

It's quite boring when it comes out in a bowl,

so I went to get a pot and added it in.

-It's like an entertainment Udon -Yes yes!

This is basically a steamed Udon to dip in a Natto sauce.

So I should dip it in,

and just eat it?

That's the right way to eat it?

The noodle is quite unique as well.

It has the wheat germ in it. - I can see that.

-Not white -No, it's brown

Let's try

So good.

It's quite strong texture.

The texture is quite smooth, and like a rice cake,

-but it's quite a mouthful -Yes.

And the stickiness of the Natto gives additional smoothness.

There is some Natto inside.

That's why the texture is quite different

Do people abroad eat this as well?

Quite a lot. We have around 4 guests from abroad per day

They either choose this Zubora Udon or the Kema Curry Udon

The two is the main.

The top 2. Wait, I feel people abroad do not like Natto that well.

True. We ask before we serve it, but most people has no problem.

Taking photos of this and uploading on Instagram

When people come, they would usual take pictures before eating it.

This would be famous among girls, so hopefully they would share it globally.

Unprompted Testimonials and Reviews. Combat Precise-KO - Duration: 0:39.

MMA Pro Preston Parsons: This thing feels pretty cool.

I haven't trained in a while, I'm not in peak condition

I like it a lot!

It keeps my elbows tight to my body

Pushes my shoulder down

Forcing you to defend correctly with high hands

Pulling my hand straight back to my face

Otherwise it drags your arm down, exposing incorrect defensive techniques

I can feel the improvement already

Which is awesome for "fight night muscle memory"

MMA Pro Champion Mike Pope: The band gives your resistance when you throw your punch

And gives you speed back to your body when you release

Is the Combat Precise-Ko worth training with?

Yes!

I like it!

Bill Gates [ bill gates ellen [ bill gates big bang theory [ snopes bill gates speech ] - Duration: 3:31.

Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is worth an estimated $91.8 billion, and he pays billions in taxes to the federal government. But he says he should be paying even more.

"I need to pay higher taxes," he told CNN's Fareed Zakaria during a recent interview. "I've paid more taxes, over $10 billion, than anyone else, but the government should require people in my position to pay significantly higher taxes."

Gates' comments came on the heels of a criticism of 2017's GOP tax reform.

"It was not a progressive tax bill, it was a regressive tax bill," he told Zakaria. "People who are wealthier tend to get dramatically more benefits than the middle class or those who are poorer.

It runs counter to the general trend you'd like to see, where the safety net is getting stronger and those at the top are paying higher taxes."

Fellow billionaire Warren Buffett agrees. "I don't think I need a tax cut," Buffett told CNBC regarding reform efforts.

Buffett, who's worth an estimated $87.2 billion, specifically spoke out about the estate tax, which is levied on assets transferred from one person to another at the time of death. He said eliminating it would be a "terrible mistake" because the current system in America vastly favors the rich.

In theory, he could leave billions each to his children and grandchildren, who wouldn't have to pay taxes to inherit it. "If they were lucky enough to come out of the right womb and have the right name, Buffett, they could build tombs for themselves like Egyptian pharaohs never dreamed of," he said.

"I sure don't think it's good for a society where there's a ton of inequality to start with. I think that's a terrible mistake," he added.

In the end, the estate tax wasn't fully repealed, but it was furthered scaled back.

Left to their own devices, Gates and Buffett use their funds to give back in other ways. In 2010, the duo partnered up on The Giving Pledge, through which ultra-wealthy individuals commit to giving away at least half of their wealth to charitable causes.
