it's the action-packed toys from Spin Master, of the

It's Chase...

Chase is on the case,

in the Jungle Rescue... action-packed set.

- [Mr. Hands] That's right. Marshall.

Let's get fired up, with Jungle Rescue Marshall.

And who is that next to Marshall?

- [Bobby] Rocky...

- [Mr. Hands] That's right. It's Rocky.

Let's... Well, what does he say, Bobby?

(Bobby chuckling)

- [Bobby] You got it wrong, Mr. Hands.

- [Mr. Hands] Uh, yeah I did.

I almost said Marshall's.

(laughing)

Who-- what does Rocky say, Bobby?

- [Bobby] Rocky says,

"Don't loose it, reuse it."

(chuckling) - [Mr. Hands] That's right.

And who's that next to Rocky?

- [Bobby] It's Zuma...

- [Mr. Hands] Zuma...Yes, it's Zuma

from The Paw Patrol Pups.

These are some really cool toys.

And Zuma says,

"Let's dive in..."

And who's that next to Zuma?

- [Bobby] It's Rubble...

- [Mr. Hands] That's right,

"Rubble, Rubble, on the double..."

He's a Jungle Rescue Pup,

and

he is ready to dig into action.

And who's that next to Rubble?

- [Bobby] It's Skye...

This Jungle Pup's gotta fly...

These are some really neat action-packed

and I can't wait to take 'em outta the packaging.

(chuckling) and Bobby,

he can't wat to play with 'em.

and I think what we need to do

is we need to take each one of these

and do a fun pretend time with them.

use our imagination at home

and we'll have to use our imagination here on ToyTimeTV.

And you kids, can do this with us.

The Paw Patrol were in the jungle,

and they were in The Monkey Temple Headquarters,

when all of a sudden,

a cute little kitty cat came up.

- Chase is on the case...

Wow these are really cool jungle outfits we have, Ryder.

Hey, who's that coming over there?

- Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow... Meow,

meowmeowmoewmow, meowmeowmeowmeowmow, meow, meow, meow.

- Hey there little kitty, are you okay?

- Meow meow meow, meowmeowmeowmeowmow.

- Ay, caramba... I understand

what she's saying Ryder...

I speak Cat-oneese.

She's saying that a panther has broken its leg

and it's way off in the forest,

and it needs our help.

- That's awful...

We wanna help this poor panther with the broken leg,

'cause we're The Paw Patrol.

- That's right Zuma,

we need to help this poor panther.

That's why I need you Zuma,

you Chase,

Skye,

Marshall, Rubble, and Rocky.

And I also need you too, Tracker.

Along with, the little kitty.

And you can help find where the panther is.

Let's all get in the Paw Terrain Vehicle,

and head out.

Paw Patrol... to the Paw Terrain Vehicle.

(nature sounds)

Paw Patrol, we're on a roll, let's go.

(nature sounds)

- [Bobby] And Ryder, Rocky, Chase, Marshall,

and Zuma,

and all the other Paw Patrol Pups,

went in the Paw Terrain Vehicle,

to help rescue

the panther

who had a broken leg.

He had an owie.

(chuckles)

vrun, vrun, vrun... vrun, vrun...

See, they're going right now.

Wow...

Ooh and then all of a sudden,

Ryder was talking to the kitten,

and the kitten said

that the panther was right over there.

- Ay, caramba, the kitten is telling us that

the panther is right over there, Ryder.

- Oh, I see him, Tracker.

Oh this poor panther with a broken leg,

but The Paw Patrol Pups

to the rescue...

- Ooh...

My poor leg.

It hurts so bad.

I wish someone would come help me.

Oohhhh...

- Paw Patrol to the rescue...

- Oh my little kitty friend brought help.

Thank you...

My leg is broken and I can't walk.

Meow, meow, meow...

- Chase is on the case.

Don't worry little panther,

we've got bandages to bandage up your broken leg.

Marshall, help out the panther.

- Let's get fired up.

Okay little panther,

here's all my bandages,

I'm gonna bandage you up really good.

There you go mister panther,

your broken leg is good as new.

- Oh thank you Paw Patrol.

- But wait a second,

you've got another boo-boo.

Let me go ahead and take care of that too.

- Oh yeah, my ear was hurting.

Um, my tail kinda hurts too.

- Okay, another bandage for your tail.

- Oh I'm feeling much better.

- Well, that's great mister panther.

- And you kinda lookin' like a mummy too.

(chuckles)

- Silly Rocky.

(chuckles) He does kinda

look like a mummy doesn't he?

- Yeah, I'm a mummy panther...

(chuckles)

- Chase is on the case.

Ryder, we did really good here today

taking care of this poor panther, didn't we.

- That's right, Chase.

We sure did.

Paw Patrol, we're on a roll...

- Ohhh... I know what I wanna be for Halloween next year.

(chuckles)

- [Bobby] And The Paw Patrol has saved the panther,

even though they made the poor little panther

look like a mummy, but he thought it was funny.

(chuckles)

He was a purple panther mummy.

- [Mr. Hands] Whoa, kids... That was fun.

(chuckling)

That was a really fun adventure,

wasn't it Bobby?

- [Bobby] Yes, it was, Mr. Hands.

Vrun, vrun, it's the Paw... Terrain Vehicle.

Vurn...urnurnurnurn...

It's really cool, look at it.

(chuckling)

And, we've got our Air Patroller.

Whoa...

Ryder is driving it.

Oh no, there's a Ryder there.

It's Ryder clones.

(chuckling)

And we've got our Paw Patroller.

And, the toy that we're doing the review on here, today,

We've got our Jungle Rescue Paw Patrol Pups,

which are really cool and really neat.

Let me move this out of the way,

and then we're gonna talk about each one of these

and tell you more about it.

And actually do a cool toy review on it.

(chuckles)

Alright, let me set this down.

(swoosh) Chase is on the case.

These paws uphold the laws.

Chase is a German Shepherd puppy,

from The Paw Patrol.

And this Jungle Rescue Pup,

is ready for action.

Well, when we open up our Jungle Rescue toys,

we get, our Jungle Rescue Pup,

and we also get,

this little guy here too.

It's a little piece of paper,

that shows us

other

cool Paw Patrol toys.

There's Zoomer Marshall.

We had a review on that.

And look, there is

The Launch N' Roll Lookout Tower,

ooh, that's pretty interesting.

And at the top, we've got the Monkey Temple.

See the Monkey Temple?

We already did that review.

That's really cool.

If you haven't seen that review,

you can go watch it here,

I'll put a link, so you can see it.

But, that comes with it,

but you also get, Chase.

Now, Chase is all decked out

for a jungle extreme adventure.

(chuckles)

He's got little green boots on,

'cause you have to have boots when you go in the jungle.

That way you keep your paws from getting dirty.

And he's got a little camouflage police uniform.

And he's got on his cool...

little

safari hat.

Look at that.

And there his little badge on the top there too.

(chuckles)

So, chase is all ready to go.

Now, Chase's head, does move back and forth,

like this, you can see,

it actually goes all the way around,

(playful voice) oh no Chase,

don't lose your head.

(chuckles)

I don't think it's screwed on.

I think it just goes around in a circle.

And his little paws in the front can move out,

and his little paws in the back.

We could have a super Chase if we wanted.

So, he is articulated.

That means his legs and his front legs,

his front paws and his front legs.

It's his rear legs, move.

And he's got, his little Jungle Rescue pack.

Now, we all know what Chase has on his pack.

Do you know what Chase has on his pack?

You can answer that question, right now.

I knew you knew it.

Chase has a megaphone

and a tennis ball launcher on his pack.

That's really cool.

It just goes on like this,

and it snaps into place.

And when you press down really hard.

It snaps in, lets see if we got it there.

Yeah I think we got it.

So it doesn't go anywhere.

So Chase is all ready to go...

Rescue

other little creatures in the jungle.

Like maybe help out that panther that had some problems,

like in the Jungle Rescue.

And he'll get to meet Tracker, too,

the brand new Pup.

(chuckles)

Let's look at our all the other Jungle Rescue Pups.

(swoosh) Let's get fired up...

(chuckles)

Marshall matches my shirt.

I guess Marshall's favorite color is red too,

because he's got his firetruck and everything.

Well that's not what comes in the packaging.

You don't get Marshall's firetruck

in this little pack you get with The Jungle Rescue.

Marshall, is right here.

He has on his safari hat,

has on a little camouflage red outfit,

and his shoes really, really match

our green grass right here.

So he's kinda camouflaged with the green grass, isn't he?

(chuckles)

But you've got to have your hiking boots

when you go in the jungle or when you go out in the woods,

so that you can actually get good traction and walk around.

Well, Marshall has his little badge here in the front.

He's not an action-pack,

but it would be cool if he was.

He is a Dalmatian puppy dog.

And his head's articulated just like Chase.

(playful voice) oh no... his head

goes all the way around too.

(chuckles)

And his legs move all the way out,

just like Chase too.

So we have super Jungle Rescue Pup.

(chuckles)

And,

we also have Marshall's water cannon.

Now this water cannon,

goes on his back.

There's a little hole right there.

That you can see.

And we just put it in there,

and it snaps into place.

Now Marshall is ready to go on Jungle Rescue adventures.

Wow. Marshall's really neat.

(swoosh) Oh no, look out Rocky,

it's a Robot.

(laughs)

No silly, it's not a robot.

But, it sure does look like one.

This is,

Rocky's...

tool pack.

I'll sit that down over here.

♫ Now, Rocky is really cool,

♫ And green means go...

And

"Don't lose it, reuse it."

That's what Rocky says,

'cause he's a recycling puppy dog.

Well,

Rocky is a mixed-breed.

He's kind of a bunch of breeds put together.

But that makes him special.

And we love Rocky here on ToyTimeTV.

Now, this toy from Spin Master is like the other ones.

His head moves all the way around,

Oh no, Rocky,

(chuckling) don't lose your head.

It goes all the way around.

It shouldn't do that, but it does.

He has on his green safari outfit,

and his green camouflage, along with his hiking boots.

Now his legs move out just like the other Paw Patrol Pups,

and he can lay down like that, I guess,

or he can stand up.

He can do just about anything.

Now, his... pack,

which is not an action-pack,

goes on his back right here in the little hole,

like the other ones,

and it snaps into place.

Oops, I missed it.

There we go.

And

Rocky is ready to go,

'cause Rocky is a great Paw Patrol Pup member,

and he's really good,

because he teaches your child about recycling.

'Cause kids recycling is fun.

(swoosh) Ready, set, get wet.

Let's dive in with

Zuma...

We love Zuma.

Zuma is a cool Chocolate Labrador Retriever

from The Paw Patrol.

Now, Zuma is in his Jungle Rescue outfit.

He has on an orange cap,

which is not a safari cap.

It's kinda like Ryder.

Look at Ryder, Ryder's got a cap just like that.

Dontcha, Ryder?

(imitating Ryder's voice) yeah I do.

I wear a cap just like this.

Hey Zuma.

(chuckles)

Zuma, right here,

is wearing his orange camouflage,

he's got on his green boots,

and our baseball cap with a little Paw Patrol symbol on it.

And he has his dive pack, for going underwater

and rescuing sea creatures.

Well, he is articulated.

That means his head does go all the way around,

(silly voice) oh no..

(chuckles)

And, his little paws on the front and rear go straight out,

just like that too.

So, lets go ahead and snap on his pack.

It' just like the other ones we looked at.

And...

Zuma is ready to go...

rescuing under water.

I like this Zuma, he's really cool.

The other three Paw Patrol members have the safari hats,

but there are only two,

and we'll get to the other one here in a second,

that have the baseball caps,

and Zuma looks spectacular in it.

(chuckling) Ohh... I'm so excited

over the Jungle Rescue Paw Patrol Pups.

I wanna put 'em in the Paw Patroller,

maybe the Paw Terrain Vehicle,

maybe Rocky's tug-boat.

Do you think Zuma could drive Rocky's tug-boat?

I think he could.

I think Zuma would--

I think Rocky would let Zuma drive it.

(giggling) Alright.

(swoosh) Rubble, Rubble on the double.

Hey Rubble, how do you like your

new Jungle Rescue outfit?

(imitating Rubble) Oh I love it.

I love my jungle outfit.

It's really cool.

I get to go trampling through the jungle

with my Jungle Rescue boots.

(chuckling) That's right.

Rubble has Jungle Rescue boots,

they're green,

and they're really good for getting outdoors with,

like we said before.

Now,

Rubble, he is an English Bulldog.

Did you know that?

(chuckling)

(imitating Rubble) Rubble, Rubble, on the double.

Now Rubble is articulated

and his head goes all the way around too,

just like the other Paw Patrol Pups,

but it won't come off.

These are pretty sturdy toys,

so they don't break really easy.

His legs do move out,

and rubble paws go inside and so do his boots.

We notice that on his super hero outfit too.

(laughing) When he was wearing boots.

His little behind is kinda going up there a little bit too.

It's a weight thing, I guess.

(chuckling)

But his rear legs,

do move out like that.

And his front legs.

So he can fly through the air,

if the Jungle Rescue Pups were super heroes,

but, nah, they're not wearing their super hero outfit.

And they're not fighting the Spider King.

Ooh...

(chuckles)

Well, Rubble is the only other Pup

that's wearing a baseball cap,

instead of a safari cap,

so that's pretty cool.

It's yellow, and he has little, yellow camouflage

on his little uniform here.

It's pretty cool and pretty neat.

Well, Rubble comes with his digger.

'Cause Rubble says,

"Let's dig it,"

and also,

"Rubble on the double,"

doesn't he, with The Paw Patrol.

Well this little thing goes back here,

just like the other ones.

And it snaps into place.

Now Rubble's ready to go on fun Jungle Rescue adventures.

(swoosh)

- [Bobby] I love The Paw Patrol.

- [Mr. Hands] I love The Paw Patrol too.

And I love Nickelodeon.

Nick Jr., Nick Jr., Nick Jr., is awesome.

And so is Nickelodeon and The Paw Patrol.

- [Bobby] Yeah... and Spin Master too.

- [Mr. Hands] Spin Master, Nick Jr.,

Zuma,

Skye,

Chase,

Rubble,

ohh... Marshall.

We've got all of 'em.

Marshall Jungle Rescue,

Chase Jungle Rescue,

Rocky Jungle Rescue,

Zuma Jungle Rescue,

a Rubble Jungle Rescue,

and Skye Jungle Rescue.

And we've got the Paw Terrain Vehicle.

- [Bobby] Yeah, we do.

(chuckling) - [Mr. Hands] This has been

a really fun review.

I'm gonna take all the

♫ Paw Patrol Pups

♫ And put them in the Paw Terrain Vehicle,

♫ 'Cause this is where they belong.

Oh no, are they all gonna fit?

- [Bobby] I think they will.

(chuckling) - [Mr. Hands] Let's put 'em

all in here.

Ohhh...

There we go.

And we got Ryder,

and we got the little panther.

Let's put the panther there.

And Ryder can go in front, right here.

And then we'll put this on.

I don't know if this is gonna fit, Bobby.

- [Bobby] It will.

(laughing)

- [Mr. Hands] Oh now, I don't think it's gonna fit.

There are too many backpacks in the way.

We'd have to take off their backpacks to make 'em fit.

- [Bobby] Vrun... vrun, vrun, vrun.

(chuckling)

Hypnic Jerk

Sounding like a rude dude that puts you under his spell, a hypnic jerk is actually the medical

term for the involuntary twitch that occurs jjuuuussstt as you fall asleep.

There are plenty of theories as to why our bodies have this reaction, ranging from stress,

anxiety or over-stimulation of the senses due to ingesting four cans of Red Bull before

breakfast.

Hypnic jerks are often accompanied by rapid breathing, quickened heartbeat and a falling

sensation.

The most accepted reason why they happen is an educated guess that traces back to before

Homo Sapien evolved into Homo Technologious.

This reflexive reaction was our brains way of allowing us to readjust against a branch

so we didn't fall to our death during our prehistoric beauty rest.

Yawning

As your body begins to prepare for slumber, a relaxing yawn overtakes you.

You lift your arms into the air, stretching long as you thank your body for letting you

know it's almost time for bed.

Sounds better than what a yawn really is… your neck muscles spasming, involuntary opening

your mouth, forcing you to take a deep breath.

Not as cute of a picture, right?

Researchers know that when we yawn, oxygen and blood are pushed towards the brain, halting

intellectual activity for a quick moment.

That it's an involuntary but necessary act, similar to coughing or swallowing.

Why we yawn though, other than a momentary recharge, or why contagious yawning, when

you feel the need to yawn when being near someone yawning, or when reading about yawning,

or when hearing video announcer dude talking about yawning…

(YAWN)

Sleeping

Speaking of needed rest, other than knowing we need sleep or we'll die, scientists aren't

really sure WHY we actually lay ourselves down to rest each night.

Numerous studies have been done on what occurs while we sleep; we know all about REM and

how the body handles itself when we are zonked out.

But HOW it energizes the body remains a mystery.

Even if we don't know why, sleep is supes important.

The brain gets wonky after roughly twenty hours awake, so sleep is necessary for the

body to reboot the brain, possibly clearing out all the information we take in each day.

Filing away memories and discarding data we no longer need.

If you spend all day on social media, you may need a solid eight hours to process all

the rants and recipes you Liked or Shared before bed.

Dreaming

Everyone dreams.

Even most mammals experience REM sleep, so it's assumed they do as well.

People who tell you they don't dream are only acknowledging that they don't remember

their dreams – or they're a wee bit embarrassed to admit what their dream was about.

For the longest time, most people accepted Sigmund Freud's version that dreams expressed

our subconscious desires.

While largely discredited, sadly, not too many other theories have popped up that make

more sense.

Why are some in vivid color, and others painted like a noir novel?

One person can be a plane, soaring high above the clouds, why the others experience horrors

from beyond space and time.

It's one of the most frequently studied subjects by researchers, and one of the longest

subjects to never come to a complete resolution on why it happens.

Laughing

Humans are the only confirmed mammal that laughs.

Rats, apes and a few other species have sounds or characteristics similar to a hearty chuckle,

indicating a potential sense of humor – which if you've ever seen a monkey throw his own

poop at the window of a zoo, you know he's laughing at you.

But laughter, which isn't necessarily related to humor, as many of us laugh at awkward situations,

like when grandma blasts the dinner table with geriatric stink bombs from her bottom.

Plus, laughter can be funny and cruel, as sometimes you laugh with someone and sometimes

you laugh at them.

Even though it's a form of social communication and a daily occurrence for most people, know

one can still say exactly why we do it.

So stop laughing at me, damnit.

Pubic Hair

You may not realize it, but you're potentially causing the next step in evolution for human

body hair because you keep trimming that patch above your privates.

According to a recent study, 82% of women and 49% of men groom their groins.

In another few millennia, most humans – assuming we're still here – will grow less hair

down there then they do now.

Protectors of the pubic pelt will say it keeps germs away from your open orifices, while

others will refer to the natural body aromas it can keep, saving your scent and pheromones

and promoting your sexual status.

All anyone knows is that it still grows, despite the constant friction of undergarments.

It keeps growing, you keep shaving – be careful though because sometimes, you don't

what you got till it's gone.

Puberty

Speaking of hair down there, the first time you get one somewhere you didn't expect,

you know that puberty is close and shit's about to get weird for a few years.

We all go through it, but why humans have to get acne or have their hormones explode

like fireworks during their teenage years is unknown.

Every mammal goes through it's life cycle.

Hell, cats are full grown in just over year, but you never hear your kittens meow start

to crack as it grows!

Doctors and researchers can explain what will happen during the bodies transformation to

adulthood, but why your mouth doesn't work when you're around a special someone, they

still have no clue.

Your best bet, just lay low and know that it gets better… well, sort of.

I'm fully grown and I still get pimples, so…

Blushing

That was probably a little TMI, and if you could see me, you'd see – besides my zits

obviously – that I'm blushing.

Since I'm a little embarrassed, adrenaline is being released through my body, affecting

my blood flow, causing the veins in my face to engorge, turning my cheeks a crimson red.

WHY this happens, and why only on our face – no clue from anyone.

Blushing, unlike most of the bodies involuntary reactions, like vomiting to remove something

upsetting the stomach, doesn't seem to help the situation, usually making it worse by

calling attention to the fact that you're embarrassed by the situation.

Also, why just the face?

Actually, it's probably a good thing because if you happen to blush the first time you

remove your clothing in front of someone special you might end up looking like a giant tomato.

Polycoria

One of the rarest medical conditions to occur, which could explain why scientists still know

very little about it, Polycoria is when the eye develops two pupils in the same iris,

each capable of operating independently from each other.

More common is pseudopolycoria, which is also additional pupils in your peepers, but these

do not have their own pupillary sphincter muscles, so they are merely holes.

Most suffers don't seem to have affected vision, even though the description sounds

like a super power.

Our hero using his additional pupils to see through walls, or a nefarious ne'er-do-well

who uses his polycoria to play peeping tom around ladies locker rooms.

Unfortunately, none of it's true, it just causes the afflicted to see poorly in bright

lights and possibly headaches.

Breasts

Science can obviously explain why breasts exists.

Women figured out what to do with them long before someone was around to explain it to

them.

Almost all mammals breast feed their young with engorged bosoms; filled with milk created

during pregnancy.

But why the human females breasts remain larger at all times, or why so many sizes of bras

are needed is not something that anyone can't truly explain.

Evolutionists state that supple breasts indicate to men that a woman is fertile and ready to

breed.

Another possibility is that the women's bust size has increased over the years to

provide enough milk for the much larger brained babies of today's society.

Either way, they're never seems to be a shortage of doctors willing to study boobs,

so sleep well knowing someone is attempting to solve this mammary mystery.

There you go, ten things about our bodies that happen – will continue to happen – and

we don't know why.

Building the Elucidator (Sword Art Online) - Duration: 10:05.

I started the build by making 20 sheets of hardened paper.

18 were folded long-ways and 2 were folded side-ways.

Around the time I started building this, I was running low

on my normal 110 lbs cardstock.

But I found a decent alternative in my house.

This red paper you're looking at is actually a

thick construction paper.

It's slightly thicker than my usual cardstock

and a lot sturdier so I used this one for the core of the sword.

The downsides are that it's a little harder to work with

and it tends to warp a lot more easily.

I'll show you what I mean later.

The hardened sheets were arranged to look like this

There were 4 layers with each layer made up of 5 hardened sheets

I traced the template on and cut it out using a sharp blade

This template is made by Returacan, but I've made my own adjustments to it.

Feel free to play around with the template as you wish

Because in the actual show, the animation for the sword is not consistent at all.

It changes almost every scene you look at it.

So, you're free to pick and choose which version of the sword you want to build.

The support structure was made by hot-gluing jumbo popsicle sticks onto the blade.

When finished, it should look something like this on both sides.

This is what I meant when I said the paper likes to warp easily....

You'll see this happening when working with other papers, of course,

But... nowhere near this extreme of a level...

To fix this, you'll have to bend the sword in the other direction

and apply the popsicle sticks onto the sword as it's bent.

You can do this by clamping it down or by having a second person bend it for you

while you apply the supports on the other side.

So this is what the blade looks like now

It has supports on it...

These are just 4 layers of popsicle sticks that are staggered onto eachother.

At this point, you can, you know, swing the blade

You can sort of put it through most of the stress tests that it can go through.

But you are nowhere near finished with this.

You actually have to finish paneling the sword.

Paneling the sword will help with a couple things.

First of all- *sniffs* [excuse me]

It will make the sword last longer

Obviously, you have more material around it; it's thicker

and the internals are getting less damaged.

And what paneling the blade does is that it stops it from torquing.

And what that means is that right now, I can take the blade and I can twist it

along it's central line.

and paneling it will prevent that from happening.

at the same time, if you want your sword, I guess, to slash through cardboard,

have some fun, I guess, if you want your sword to be able to do that,

paneling will also help with that

because when you panel, you are left with a beveled angle on the edge of your sword.

And that will literally leave you with a wedge that will be able to cut through...

I say "cut" even though it's sort of a stretch I guess...

You're just kinda like.... bashing it

but it will help because it is a wedge and right now, the edge of this isn't exactly a wedge

It's just a straight line with a "step"

So having paneled the actual blade will help a lot.

This side's hilt isn't supported yet...

I have to finish supporting this side of the hilt

and the hilt is only going to be one layer.

because you don't need 4 layers...

After the supports were finished, I started paneling.

You'll need 9 sheets of hardened 110 lbs cardstock

with 7 folded long-ways and 2 folded side-ways.

I traced the outline of the sword onto paper and cut it out.

Then, I used regular school glue or PVA glue to attach it to the blade as neatly as I could.

You'll have to hold it down onto the edges or use clamps to hold it down as it dries.

For each side, 3 long sheets of hardened paper were used for the blade

and 1 wide sheet was used for the handguard.

Before covering the handle, remember to take a scrap piece of paper and cover the end like this

Afterwards, the handle is covered by taking a long piece of hardened paper and wrapping it around

while gluing it in at the same time.

So, I'm starting to cover up the edges of the sword

As you can see, this edge is not covered yet.

But this side of the blade

This edge of the blade is covered... for the most part

For the blade, I cut out strips of paper

For the blade, the strips of paper were 1.5cm

And for the hilt, these were 2cm wide.

And it's just a simple process of taking some

regular elmer's glue - or PVA glue, if you don't live in the US,

and just applying it to the strip and just covering it over.

optionally, what you can do is sort of crease along the center of the strips

to make it look like you have an actual edge on the blade

You can kinda see that I did it over-

kinda hard to do it with one hand, but over here

you can see that I kind of

*drops*

oops, that's my knife...

I kind of creased the edge along so it looks like it's actually the edge of a blade

Probably hard to see...

But, that's that.

Alright, paneling is complete

Got all the edges on there as well

*sniffs*

Excuse me ._.

Uhh..

The only thing that's left is to add the little plates; the decorations

Most people like to put a little X or a cross shape... pendant?

I don't know what to call it...

But there is something like that on a lot of people's builds.

I don't exactly want to do that because

in the anime, it never really showed with that...

See? o.o

Sooo.... yeah

I never exactly saw anything like that in the anime...

I'm trying to model this after the anime version.

Since I didn't see it there, I'm just not gonna put it on

*sniffs*

If you haven't noticed, I'm a little bit sick right now =_=

Alright, so I have the detail work done on one side...

This side still has just this...

But!

This giant "L" looking piece was just drawn and cut out of a piece of 4 layers of hardened carstock.

But this circle...

I just cut out a regular circle that's 4 layers of hardened cardstock

and if you guys can tell, this circle is actually slightly smaller

than the circle that's actually on the thing

I purposely made it slightly smaller than I wanted it to be so I can cut it into fourths

and then I can spread out each piece a bit as I stick it on the blade.

To cut out this circle, I used a bridge compass.

It's basically a compass, the type you draw circles with,

except instead of a pencil on the other side, there is a blade

so you're able to cut in a circle with a center point

Now, I don't know if it's just me or if Xacto just doesn't make these bridge compasses very well

because it keeps bending on me and I don't get the cuts that I want to

But that's okay because you can just put this on the underside and it's completely hidden!

All you have to do right now is, like I said, just cut the circle into fourths like this,

spread them out a little bit, and stick them on

And you will be pretty much done at that point

And here it is, the finished product

No stress test this time, sorry guys

This sword is meant to be a gift for a friend,

and I wouldn't want any damage on the sword at all when I'm giving it to them.

Overall build time was 32 hours

and that's not the amount of time I needed to wait for the hardened sheets to dry.

Finding Joy at Family Retreats - Duration: 6:45.

They use to take us an hour, hour and a half

to feed him every meal.

To get this lunch, we had a feeding tube put in February which

has made our life easier so but it still

takes an hour and half to feed him with

feeding tube and the person's 3 times a day.

I see you what you Ru! What's you doing? Did you get your shoe?

Alex has a disorder called Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood.

It has periods of paralysis

and in 50% of the cases children have seizures

He can't communicate verbally, he's got a very

weak motor skills as well.

Though a lot of Alex's communication is through hand

gestures, through the motions he shows in his face

he loves to be read to

(singing) he's going to buy you a diamond ring

loves to be sung to,

He's just a, he has a sunny personality

We really wanted kids

Which should have happen initially

We did not know he had a disabilities,

matter-of-fact, I was very scared of

people with disabilities. The fact that

me having actually to deal with a

disability was just beyond any idea that

I would ever even have considered.

and they are there more independent,

we still always have Alex.

This year we didn't get into Joni and Friends cause I was late on registration.

When we heard that we made it off the

waiting list

they were so thrilled

then we got to put it in the van, yeah,

Family Retreat is the only

place that I can take all three of my kids.

Good job, good job, they all feel welcome,

they all feel loved,

to them it's the best vacation

and it's a great vacation for me

cause it takes worries off my shoulders

You see all these people cheering for you when you arrive.

It's very overwhelming

That's where you get swarmed right with all your STM's and staff.

The STM for Alexander is Kenny

I'm very energetic,

enjoys joking, enjoys kidding, no prodding Alex,

pushing him to I guess to his limits a bit.

I wanna make sure that the

Presunka's are able to get away and not

have to worry about what's going on or

how Alex is doing

Angelina, she's the gathering anything to do with nature

so Angelina's in heaven

Yes Jesus loves me, yes

Michael has been in the team group, he is just loving it

he's actually said that next year he

wants to be an STM.

My favorite activity actually is probably is date night,

just enjoy it, just the

opportunity to be able to the bond with

some other couples.

We were shown over here by the lawn

watching everyone running around and

playing stuff like that, you just kind of

loved to put his arm around me and

then I put my arm around him and I was

talking to him and I was like Jesus

loves you, I love you, your parents love you, and

were your friends you know and he just

got like the biggest smile on face.

For Alex, having a dedicated STM to spend

time with him is just fantastic

Alex has a gift of like making people smile
