Phil Jackson's 10 worst moves with Knicks - Duration: 5:33.
These aren't about Phil Jackson's media and Twitter blunders, which are plentiful and should be embarrassing to any executive (ticking off LeBron James is one recent example). This is not even about the things Jackson didn't do, such as pushing more money toward Steve Kerr, or ditching his triangle in a timely fashion.
These are 10 tangible and terrible roster/staff moves from Jackson, presented in ascending order based on their terribleness. It speaks to Jackson's ineptitude that we can stretch the list to 10 given his short time on the job. But he's been that bad in less than three full seasons.
He gets credit for drafting Kristaps Porzingis and keeping first-round draft picks in a way Isiah Thomas didn't.
But if you think Jackson can be trusted to trade Anthony or Derrick Rose and start another rebuild, you may reconsider after taking a look at the following list:
10. Oct. 27, 2014: Traded Travis Outlaw and a 2019 second-round pick to the Sixers for Arnett Moultrie This trade wasn't about Moultrie, who was waived by Jackson before playing a game with the Knicks. It was about getting rid of a guaranteed contract in Outlaw to open up a roster spot for Travis Wear, who averaged 3.9 points in 51 games with the Knicks before he was released and went overseas.
Not a good return for a second-round pick.
9. June 25, 2015: Traded Tim Hardaway Jr. for Jerian Grant. Admittedly, it's tough to judge yet because Grant is only in his second year and was later shipped off by Jackson in another trade.
But today, he's a small contributor on a mediocre Bulls team, averaging 5.1 points and 1.5 assists.
Hardaway Jr., on the other hand, spent time developing in Atlanta and is playing better and more efficiently than he ever did in New York.
He is averaging 12 points for the surging Hawks (26-18), and recently credited Atlanta for "building me into a better basketball player, and I'm a lot more mature." Too bad Jackson couldn't tap into that.
By the way, Hardaway Jr.
and Grant are both 24 years old.
8. Feb. 8, 2016: Fired Derek Fisher and appointed Kurt Rambis as interim coach. It made sense to can a coach with a 40-96 record who skipped a practice after getting caught up in a love-triangle feud involving Matt Barnes.
But then Jackson started to explain the move, promoted Kurt Rambis, and quickly it became obvious this was all about Mr. 11 Rings and his beloved triangle.
The Knicks were 23-31 when Fisher was fired (about the same as their current record under Jeff Hornacek).
Rambis brought back Jackson's traditional triangle, created a clearer pipeline to the president, and the Knicks went 7-19.
Kurt Rambis as head coach did not work out well.

7. June 22, 2016: Traded Robin Lopez, Jose Calderon and Jerian Grant for Derrick Rose, Justin Holiday and a 2nd round pick.
Not a big risk because Rose is on an expiring contract, but this trade represented Jackson's second or third restart, depending on how you count the 17-65 disaster (remember, Phil was talking about playoffs before he dismantled the roster). Jackson had a plan with Lopez - a workable big man -- to build slower, and develop a team in his vision. But then he traded Lopez away for a Band-Aid - who started his Knicks career with a civil trial, then went AWOL -- and today the narrative around Rose typically sounds like, 'At least his contract is expiring.'
6. June 25, 2014: Traded Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton to the Mavericks for Jose Calderon, Samuel Dalembert, Wayne Ellington, Shane Larkin and two second-round picks.
This trade got worse with time for Phil Jackson. Felton and Chandler are still solid NBA rotation players. Most of the players the Knicks got back in the deal are no longer in the league, and that includes the two players Jackson drafted with those two picks - Cleanthony Early and Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
The disappointing stints of Larkin and Calderon created the environment to go after Rose two years later.
5. January 5, 2015: Traded J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Cavaliers and got back Lou Amundson, Alex Kirk, Lance Thomas and a 2019 second-round pick.
A year later, the Cavaliers gave up two first-round picks to acquire Timofey Mozgov. But they fleeced Phil Jackson, acquiring two players vital to their championship run. Smith, given up for nothing, developed into a starter and elite defender on a championship team.
"The New York Knicks said JR Smith was a throw-in, by the way," LeBron James said at the championship parade, scratching his head in disbelief.
4. June 10, 2014: Hired Derek Fisher.
A coach with no experience hired on a five-year deal because of his relationship with Jackson. What could go wrong? Everything. Fisher went 17-65 in his first season - the worst record in franchise history - and missed a practice in training camp after getting punched in the face by Matt Barnes.
Fisher wasn't ready to be a coach.
3. July 13, 2014: Resigned Carmelo Anthony on a five-year, $124 million contract with a no-trade clause.
Joakim Noah has not played up to his contract.
(Michael Reaves/Getty Images)
Why did Phil concede to a no-trade clause? It's such a rarity in the NBA that we'd like to hear from Phil (not going to happen) about his thought process back then. Because today it's the bane of his existence.
Anthony's contract and age creates a win-now environment, while Jackson's terrible roster moves suggest it's time to blow it all up again.
Except he can't trade Anthony without the player's consent. It's the conundrum Jackson built.
Forget about signing stars now to help Anthony, because it's hard to imagine top agents even meeting with Jackson anymore. Just ask Kevin Durant.
2. July 7, 2016: Signed Joakim Noah to a four-year, $72 million contract
There were warning signs that Noah was no longer a starting-caliber player. The Bulls knew it. Jackson didn't.
The worst part about this contract is imaging Years 3 and 4 on the deal.
But that's what you get when signing a player to a monster contract the season AFTER he was benched and put on injured reserve because of shoulder surgery.
Now you can go through any feasible rebuilding scenario - whether it's trade Anthony, or trade Rose - but you're still brought back to the following reality: yeah, but what about Noah?
1. March 18, 2014: Phil Jackson signed a five-year, $60 million contract to become president of the Knicks.
Or maybe this was Jackson's best move. It certainly was the smartest. Either way, it sent the Knicks on a downward spiral that is reinforced with every heartbreaking loss and moment of dysfunction.

4 Important Life Lessons Your Dog Teaches You - Duration: 6:02.
4 Important Lessons Your Dog Teaches You Hello Welcome to Mr.Top10
He came as a 3 week old ball of fur that could fit into the palm of my hand.
Close to near starvation, he still prioritized wagging his tail for me over finding some
food for himself.
It was love at first sight, if you don't believe in love at first sight, get a dog.
I had him for 12 years.
That meant hundreds of chewed up shoes thrown away, bagfuls of dog hair coated clothes discarded,
buckets of dog poop scooped up, daily barking sprees suffered and an entire childhood spent
smelling like, well, a dog.
It's a big responsibility and a huge pain, no amount of puppy eyes can sugar coat that
fact of life.
Another grudging fact of life is that somewhere in between the poop scooping and mindless
barking, they change you.
They mend your heart and grow your mind.
They make you believe in the goodness of life and the beauty of the world.
Heck, they even give you faith.
All those lofty ideas that we roll our eyes at, they make them a reality.
They sit there grossly licking themselves, and all the while, your world changes.
My dog was the best living being I ever knew.
Here are a few things he taught me, a few things that these dirty furry creatures unknowingly
teach their families (Yes, that's a 'he', not an 'it', they are people, and they
are better than most people).
Number 1.
They teach you forgiveness You forget to feed them, they lick you.
You forget to walk them, they lick you.
You may not have a single second for them the entire day but at the first tired glance
you accidentally give them, they lick you.
Imagine getting that kind of complete forgiveness and acceptance every single day.
Imagine living with the absolute certainty that no matter what you do and who you become,
there is always this little 'creature-person' who will accept you with a thumping tail and
happy barks (also unfortunately a very wet gross tongue that manages to find your nose
every single time).
When you get that kind of acceptance, you begin to give it as well.
Just a little bit though, we are after all mere humans, can't compete with a dog.
Number 2.
They teach you love, crazy real fearless love They love you like that.
This is a dog's logic – she played with me, so now, when required, I will die for
her.
The most ridiculous thought process ever, the most amazing way to love ever.
They teach you how to let your guards down and love someone with all you've got.
Without fear, without conditions and with complete vulnerability.
It's not just how they love you, but also how you end up loving them.
When you have a dog you know he will probably go before you, in fact you hope that he does,
so that he always has you to take care of him.
But then, you end up loving someone with your full heart, knowing full well that they will
pass away before you.
You open yourself to love with the knowledge that it will hurt one day.
That's the kind of love this world needs, that kind of strong, unconditional, courageous
love.
A dog teaches you that.
Number 3.
They make you less cynical It's a complicated world, demanding and
selfish, difficult to remain childlike and optimistic.
Not so much if you have an irritating four legged friend whose only aim in life is to
make you throw the ball.
Every morning when you have a hundred things on your to do list the only thing on their
to do list is 'wag tail, lick this guy'.
Every night when you are dead tired and completely frustrated with the boss, they just cluelessly
prance about doing their happy little dance because you are back home.
I dare you to stay cynical in the face of that!
Just try to behave like an adult while playing tug of war with a dog; you will be 5 years
old in less than 5 seconds.
Their innocence and pointless happiness is contagious.
Their undying optimism that any second someone will play with them teaches you how to hope,
how to stop being negative and just smile.
Just throw the ball and smile.
Number 4.
They make you strong He got old and quietly passed away one night.
The next day we buried him and I went to work.
I didn't mention it to most people for fear that they wouldn't really understand my
pain.
It was just a dog.
Just a dog, but even in his passing he made me stronger.
Facing his absence prepared me to face life better.
If you have been through that, you can go through a lot.
People tell me they don't want to keep a dog because they don't want to go through
the pain of loss.
It's not pain, its strength.
It's not loss; it's the gain of priceless memories.
It's not a tragedy you go through, it's just life and it makes you grow up.
Let a child love and lose a pet, the adult would be an infinitely stronger and better
human being.
As a child I remember being asked what I want to be when I grow up.
My answer was 'a dog'.
It sounded really stupid and I got quite a few laughs.
It still sounds really stupid, I'l give you that, but it's still true.
Call me crazy, but if we could have one tenth the good qualities of those perpetual 'tail
waggers' and chronic 'face lickers', this world would be a happier, safer place.
So next time you see a homeless tail wagging at you, think about it, really think about
bringing him home.
It makes home more home, it makes us more human.
Thanks For Watching.

If it was said by a man,
who is really limited intellectually,
I would not made a problem.
But it was said, by the person who has a great knowledge,
who has a certificate at graduation.
And I just rub my eyes in amazement.
How can you say such nonsense.
I think, everyone has been in such situation.
When just could not believe,
that this person speaks such nonsense,
who has education and it seems,
that this person has knowledge about reality.
This todays Gospel says,
that the most ridiculous,
the most sinister
and most demonic accusations,
the idea to interpret Jesus
had who? - Scholars in law.
Scholars in the law.
People, who has spent hours on studying Biblie.
And those people invent,
the most ridiculous objection to Jesus.
Yes.
There is the kind of crack in us,
that can swallow our whole knowledge.
And it can destroy it so much,
that the only thing that is left is an awful poison and the height of absurd.
And this crack is the tendency to become blind,
tendency to become stupid.
Do you observe yourself very carefully,
and this tendency, to not fall into this madness?

Weekly Entertainment Wrap Up #03 [CC] - Duration: 4:47.
[music]
Hi YouTube, It's Kathy.
And welcome back to another Weekly Entertainment Wrap Up.
This is for the third week of the year, which is January 15th - 21st of 2017.
Although I did a lot of reading this week, I only finished one book, I watched two shows,
I listened to one podcast, I DNF'd one book that I was listening to, and I finished a
book I was listening to.
The book I started and finished this week is "Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of a Fist"
which takes place in 1999 in Seattle during a protest of the World Trade Organization.
Because I was 13 years old at the time of this protest, and I didn't really know what
a protest was, not to mention I had no idea where Seattle was and that it was so close
to me, I didn't know that this was going on.
But since I've now visited Seattle several times since that point, it was interesting
to read this book and actually know the locations that they were talking about.
I couldn't pinpoint them exactly in my mind, but there would be street names talked about
and I'd be like "I've definitely been there".
This book jumps perspectives through several different characters that are around the protest,
whether or not they are protesting, whether or not they are police, or whether or not
they're a delegate from Sri Lanka.
And because of this, it gives several different view points about protesting, and about this
protest in particular.
I read this book part of the NerdCon: Nerdfighteria book club, which I'll be attending next month,
so I'm looking forward to speaking about it in depth with everyone else who ends up reading it.
So if you're going to be in Boston on the 25th and 26th of February, and you want to
attend a really awesome book club, NerdCon: Nerdfighteria.
This week in Grey's Anatomy I went from season six episode twenty to season eight episode
eight, so I watched about a season and a half.
And so much happens in this time that I didn't even really wrap my brain around how much
had happened until I talked to a friend at work who's also watching the series, but much
more slowly because she's watching it disc by disc and getting it out of the library.
So I asked her where she was, and she was like, "oh, this character just showed up again,
and I don't know how to feel about this character" and I'm going, "oh yeah, that was... that
was so long ago.
I am not going to spoil anything for you."
Although I did end up telling her that the woman that plays Callie Torres, Sara Ramirez,
does have a Tony, because that's something I figured out recently, for reasons that people
that have seen the seventh season might know.
This week I also rewatched episodes four, five, six, and seven of the first season of
How to Get Away with Murder, because Shonda Rhimes, yes.
Because my partner's one of those people that likes to [only] watch things that they've liked
before and has never seen this before, it is really, really fun to watch him go "I want
to keep watching; this show is so good!" Because he's not wrong.
This week I listened to the "best of" episode of Dear Hank and John, so even though I've
listened to every episode before, it was really fun to listen back and be like, "oh, yeah,
I totally forgot about that whole tangent they went on".
I also started listening to "[After] Alice" as an audio book, and right from the beginning,
I couldn't really get into it, and I think that it might be mostly because of the upper
crust British accent that the narrator had.
There's a lot of personal stereotypes, at least for me, that go along with a very hoity-toity
British accent and I just could not get into it.
Also, the last time I tried to listen to an audio book with a similar accent, it was Jane
Austen, and it was just after the US election results, and wow, did I ever not want to listen
to an uppity British person of power talk about people who don't have power.
So, yeah, I stopped listening to that one.
The one I did finish listening to this week, though, was "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda"
and this book was freaking adorable!
This book centres around Simon, who's our protagonist, 16 at the beginning, has his
17th birthday during the book.
And for the past few months, he's been anonymously emailing somebody else at his school who also
happens to be gay but is not out about it.
Through this email correspondence, they are definitely falling in love.
However, someone that Simon knows from drama club is blackmailing him because he finds
out about this, and uh, just want's Simon's help to get this girl to like him, which is
totally shmarmy.
It's a really adorable read; it's really great as an audio book.
I really loved the narrator in this book.
And because I really loves letter writing books, I really loved the mixture of prose
and then him and Blue having email conversations back and forth.
I found that freaking adorable.
That's it for this week.
If you've read, listened to, or watched any of these, let me know down in the comments below.
Please don't spoil it for other people.
If all goes well in editing today, I should have another video going up about the Diverseathon
and the books that I picked up for that, so watch out for that.
Of course, the best way to watch out for that is to Subscribe, and hit that Notification Bell if you see fit.
You can also like and share this if you feel so inclined and I will see you next time. Bye!

Jouska - Duration: 3:01.
Welcome to "counseling & words" and to
my word of today which is the English
word "jouska"; and I will start with a
question today.
Have you ever held a conversation in your
mind where you reviewed something from
all angles? For example, you want your
boss to agree to your one-month holiday?
And as you imagine the meeting you feel
your heart racing and you start to sweat.
You want to be ready with strong
examples and you hope that the
conversation will be easy-going and
successful for you.
What you've been doing and
physiologically experiencing is called
"jouska". "Jouska" is a hypothetical
conversation that you repeat again and
again in your head. You are replaying an
argument in your head where you say all
the right things and you win the
argument. You are practicing all the
possible reactions and your responses.
Well it seems that these thoughts are
very very common when we are expecting a
conflict conversation, and also after one.
On one hand we regret what we said and
we start replaying the discussion to
include what we wished we had
successfully conveyed. And on the other
hand "jouska" also refers to preparing
for a potential conflict. While we are
talking in our head we imagine what we
expect the other person may say in
response and our reactions to each
comment. We all enter into conversations
with our own opinions, feelings, theories
and experiences. So when we are involved
in conversations we need to be aware and
to remember that our opinions might
differ from others. We believe one thing
and they another. We have our own history
and they have theirs. So, when we are, when
the emotions are strong we are, we
usually are not our best selves
unfortunately. So "jouska" can be a
useful method to get prepared for
difficult conversations. Well, that was
about my English word "jouska".
Thank you very much for watching! I wish
you a great week and see you next time
with a new word.
Bye-bye!

gallon size so and they're not like the
easiest size to find so I got these by
they're called color sense a ruffy's
brands and I
the mountain air and the vanilla flower
so I got these two from my kitchen trash
can and then i also got the scrap
buddies
these are two and one quick eraser dual
purpose cleaner and these are really
good for it two for a dollar and i also
got these these guys I actually have the
box because i need to use them but the
they're these guys and they're also by
the same brand of these the scrap
buddies this brand and you get a whole
bunch and these are good first gathering
your pans and also your think so
I always whenever go to the dollar tree
i got them because these are really
maybe like one maybe two uses you can't
really get like tons of uses like you
would a sponge so I would speak these up
and they're really good and dollar tree
is also great for like spray bottles so
these and then they also have this one
and then also i got i love this product
this is la is totally awesome oxygen
orange based cleaner got this and i love
this and what I do with this
i also like to clean my bathroom and
also the blue DIY one got these little
bowls these comfort for cleaning
purposes and i also thought this was
really good deal for a dollar
this is the mattress cover and I got the
queen size because in our guest bedroom
I don't know I kind of just want to
protect the mattress and you can't beat
this for a dollar got this duct tape
I thought it was super cute it's got
kind of like a candy print and I thought
it'd be really nice to use when i send
out boxes
you know because I sell some stuff
online as well check out my poshmark
closet below and i will leave a link for
you guys down in the description box but
yeah I do sell some product on poshmark
so I'd be fun I thought it was really
fun to like tape up my box with a fun
printed duct tape and I also came across
this buck which I thought was really
cool because i actually willow I've been
wanting to get her books for Ashley a
while and I thought it was great that I
was able to find one at the dollars
about the dollar tree for a dollar and i
picked up this tori spelling book so I'm
really excited to read that and i got i
got these little claw clips i actually
already took one out because i used at
the other day but these are really nice
i like the fact that these are smaller
don't have like tons of hair i have
basically like two years
so these are really cool forearm to just
you know when I pull my hair I don't
want to like I don't have time to to to
fix that before work or anything so just
just use these little clips and I'm good
to go
and also the beauty section i picked
this up this little container and I
thought it was really cool because I've
actually seen the same thing at ulta and
they are a lot more expensive than a
dollar so basically it's got a little
flip top and then you can fill it with
whatever you want you could use it for
nail polish remover maybe a cleaning
solution that you want to keep your sink
in your bathroom and basically just it
just goes like this and then the liquid
is dispensed right in the middle and you
can use cleaning cloth or cotton pad or
anything like that so I thought this is
really nice find at the dollar dream and
then also i'm kind of coming all over
the place cleaning beauty but I came
across this little adorable little trash
can in half a recycle icon here but I
basically just got it
to keep here in my office because I
didn't want to get like a whole I don't
know I didn't want to get a trash can
because i really don't throw out a lot
of things in my office but sometimes
when I want to throw a tissue or
whatever it maybe i'll just put it in
here and then I'll just you know dump it
in the regular trash was that I thought
this was adorable and it came a lot of
pretty colors so yeah that's what I'm
going to use this for and I'm talking
about like office supplies and things
like that i came across these adorable
paper clips and gold look at these you
guys so adorable and this one has found
the arrow a little bow and heart I mean
you can't be as these i'm going to use
these in my office for you know for
whatever i need to clip their just adore
all I think they're really cute and i
also came across these binder clips and
the office area I've already taken one
out because i need to use it but I
thought they were adorable really cute
print black-and-white print which I
don't know I just think it's really cute
i like it like I said I needed them and
are ready to point out so yeah and you
cannot be the dollar tree for out like
planner stickers and things like that so
i got the pictures super super cute and
I'm basically going to use them for my
planner to decorate my planner super
cute for a dollar and then these i love
as well and these are really good
quality i thought these several times
these are only like four of them that I
thought but i have bought these several
several times and the really good
quality really thick they're not like
look at the little camera how cute that
is but I love these there are adorable
yeah like i said i'm going to use I use
these for my planner to decorate my
planner i got this idea from watching
doing on a dime she is going to use this
for for a phone holder for to put her
phone so just in case if she wants to
you know watch something out of
on what she's putting on her makeup or
cooking something or whatever so this is
a great find only a dollar i was
actually looking for phone holder from
amazon and they're making me pretty
pricey so this is the you know this
would work just fine for a dollar and
i'm really glad i got this as well also
in the office supply section i got self
laminating sheets got those and these
are it says here the good for photos
business cards recipe cards etc and
there's no machine required you just
basically and put whatever you want to
laminate in between the two lamination
sheets and that's that says been back
sheet two separate backing with downward
pressure smooth and see ledges and you
get five of these so I thought this is
really good deal i'm not exactly sure
what I'm going to use it for and it may
be for business cards i'm not sure but i
couldn't pass it up for a dollar and
then I also came across these in his
adhesive label holders with blank insert
and I thought this was a really good
idea as well and you can use these to
label your folders anything in the
kitchen as well if you want to kind of
you know insert label into the the
plastic label holder
um I thought this was a great deal as
well and you get 18 pieces for a dollar
so if you see these and the office
supply section dollar tree i would
definitely make these out and then I
also got this because i wanted to me I
have a cat
he's very clean and everything but I
still wanted to kind of refresh my
carpet and this is the the homestore
professional phone carpet refresher and
it says Novak you needed you basically
spray it and it's supposed to do dries
on neutralize any odors with baking soda
and I'm looking forward to trying to
South see if it works it just
we'll definitely be buying more and then
i also got some containers in the
kitchen area
I got the best one which is it says it's
a sandwich container with lid but i mean
i think you could probably use this for
anything it doesn't necessarily have to
be for a sandwich and its really big
size this would be a humongous sandwich
ever used it for that but it just opens
up really easily this way and then you
just kind of just seal it seal it up and
your your sandwich is secure to take it
to work or maybe to school so and they
came in a lot of pretty colors and I
also got this is definitely something
that I'm gonna use and out of this is
called this is the vegetable and dip
container with LED and this one is great
as well you know you can put your
vegetables in here and then it's got
this little container that's already in
there with a lid so I'm probably use
this for either like hummus and
vegetables or chips or maybe like ranch
dressing and some vegetables so yeah I
thought this is really good and then
it's got the lid to cover everything and
this came in a lot of pretty colors as
well and i got this for my husband for
his lunch
he always brings lunch every day this
round container with three different
compartments and but i don't know i'm
gonna be using this one myself and it's
nice and big so I mean like a part of
use but selling here maybe some cheese
and some like lunch meat in here and
just kind of mix it up for some lunch
and then the other thing i purchase was
this veggie storage container as well
and this one um and by the way all these
plastic containers are bpa-free which is
amazing that you can get bpa-free
products at the dollar tree and this one
is by cooking concepts it's a veggie
storage veggies or fruit and this one is
again bpa-free it's freezer and
dishwasher safe
but it is not recommended for microwave
so if you guys come across this one as
well this is really good just for
storage and in your fridge for your
friend after you wash your fruits or
vegetables to put them in here and this
is also a great thing to bring with you
for your lunches at work or for whatever
the reason so this is another really
nice find and dollar tree as you guys
know is really well known for their
organizing containers and this one is my
absolute favorite this white one and it
comes with a lot of pretty colors
I know I'm kind of a stickler I'll I
like white like I like to keep
everything kind of uniform
although i do like a really pretty teal
color that they come out in the past
usually run springtime so i usually buy
white or like a teal blue color whenever
they come out you know with that color
so and these are great and what I love
about this one
it's nice and sturdy and it's also
really high so it fits my cleaning
products really well I also the second
want to have I used for my kitchen
towels in my little pantry I put them
all in there and this one and I have so
many kitchen towels that i actually
bought a second one for more kitchen
towels so this is another one about and
the very last product that i purchase
was just too faced and this is an I what
drew me to this one is the fact that
it's a squeezy too and it's got kind of
a stand as opposed to the other ones
that you know that don't stand i guess
so i don't know it just seemed a you
know a really good kind of container so
i think that is it guys I think I've
covered everything i purchased during
this trip at dollar tree so hopefully

Bizmates無料英語学習 Words & Phrases Tip 231 "make a killing" - Duration: 3:17.
Hey, everyone! Welcome to this Bizmates
words and phrases video series and
today's idiom is "make a killing."
Sounds like a scary word but don't worry
it's not. The meaning is very peaceful.
OK so let's learn this, but first let's
do our test. So last time we learned...
So I asked you: Where does the most
senior person sit? OK, in the meeting
room and you don't say "there's no
seating rule for senior, junior," it sounds
a little strange.
So you say... five seconds, go!
And time's up. The answer...
There's no pecking order for seating.
There's no pecking order.
Hope you got that. OK let's go on to
today's idiom "make a killing."
OK, what does this mean? Here's what I
sometimes hear: so let's imagine I'm
talking to my colleague, Taro, and I asked
him a simple question, I say: Taro,...
I wonder how much money the president makes?
Our president, what's his salary?
And Taro says:
He makes a lot of money.
OK, which is a perfect answer. "He makes a lot of money."
That's very boring isn't it? Right?
He makes a lot of money.
What's a more exciting way to say this?
Well you can say this...
So I say: Taro,
I wonder how much money the president makes?
And he says...
He makes a killing.
Ah! Very natural! Good impact.
Okay? It means he "makes a lot of money."
Okay, he makes a killing. Its kind of
slang, it's an idiom, okay? But it's
used in casual conversation and you can
say it with kind of a jealous face.
He makes a killing. OK, that's natural.
OK, so why don't you try... very simple, it's...
He makesa... he makesa killing.
He makes a killing. You try.
Good. Okay, with my question:
I wonder how much the president makes?
Really? Perfect.
OK, just like that... makes a lot of money.
For a homework, I want you to tell me...
okay, name someone who makes a killing.
Tell me someone who makes a killing. Think.
You can think of three people.
OK, so please remember this and we'll see
you next time. Thank you.

★How To DESTROY PLANES FAST & EASY In Battlefield 1 [Battlefield 1: Tips] [G-Legend]★ - Duration: 4:56.
so the planes in battle field 1 are a big
deal right there all over the place
they're all over the sky like mosquitoes
but we need to take them out how do you
destroy them the enemy once of course
how do you destroy them what are your
options what is the best way so we're
gonna be answering all these questions
in this video make sure you stay tuned
for that number one thing you need to
understand for destroying the planes
actually what your options are
what can you do how can you destroy
these planes what are your options so
what you got are the AAA guns which are
probably the best way when you got two
tanks which are ok but not all that
great we got the planes right so you
have those three ways to actually
destroy planes but now there are other
ways to damage planes right but i don't
really recommend them because they're
not really efficient and destroying
planes these are your top three ways to
destroy plane so let's talk about these
the AAA guns these are the anti aerial
guns your anti aerial weapons artillery
whatever you want to call it the number
one best way I bet it's the number one
way to destroy planes in my opinion
because it is for that right this piece
of artillery was made for destroying
aircraft alright that is its purpose
right so it does do the job pretty well
so basically you need to do what you
think you should be doing shoot up into
the air shoot a little ahead of the
target plane so that you can get your
shots on-target they land on it and
he'll eventually died in the armor of
the train or train the armor of the
plane will be destroyed so definitely
keep that in mind that is how you do
that now let's move on to the tanks so
thanks are not personally my favorite
they're not my preference but I do know
that they do work right they do work so
when you use the tank there needs to be
other people helping you either from the
same tank or from another plane or
another tank or another airship or a gun
or whatever right the tank is good for
occasional damage and for suppression
but if you're working alone
it's not your go-to it's not your go-to
it's to help your team that it's already
like destroying people in the air taking
down airplanes so if you have a squad
working with you
the tank is a great way to do your part
i really don't recommend that you use
the tank if you're going solo though
because it's just such a slow fire rate
and then
you have to be so accurate and stuff
like that it's just not ideal right it's
not efficient enough to actually go solo
especially also not taking into
consideration that you can just use any
turn on any tank you have to use the
ones that shoot rockets you can't be
shooting the machine gun was it doesn't
work the same way so only use the tank
if you are helping your squad out don't
use it if you're alone it's not worth it
don't waste your time you're probably
better off getting on the train and
using a gun on that or maybe getting on
another plane or something like that but
we'll be talking about the planes next
so piling in your own plane
alright you can pilot your own plan if
you choose to pilot your own plane
you need to analyze and understand the
situation that you're in first before
you get on a plane basically if you're
going solo the attack plan in my opinion
is probably the way to go if you're
going with a friend
the fighter is ideal right the bomber
just isn't too good for destroying
planes like it's good for ground support
right but it's not good for actually
destroying trains it's really slow and
it's hard to maneuver your attack plan
is the best if you're going solo and the
fighter i would think it's best if
you're with somebody else but those are
just my opinions of course i have some
stuff to back it up but you we should
definitely figure out what you like to
if you're gonna go in with a friend with
a squad member something like that you
probably want the fighter in my opinion
because your friend will be doing the
attacking you'll do the piloting or the
other way around and then the cannon on
that thing is best suited for attacking
other planes like it's meant for
attacking other planes like that is what
it's for
right the cannons on those things are
insane for penetrating armor on enemy
vehicles and enemy planes like that is
what you want if you're gonna be going
with somebody else now we're going to be
going solo
obviously at the attack plan is best
because you're going to be on your own
so you need to have the enemy in front
of you right because of the attack plan
you can attack from behind so you have
to attack from be from in front and you
need to have them in front of you to do
that and the thing is that if they get
behind you with which will happen a lot
alright it happens a lot if they get
behind you can quickly and easily
maneuver you can make sharp turns with
this plane and get you and a better
situation make sure that you are behind
him so you can attack it's just the best
way to go if you're going to go so
hello again it's probably not the best
way overall I think that you should
probably go with the fighter and get
somebody to help you out i think that is
the best way but definitely do what you
think is best i hope you guys enjoy
don't forget to drop a like subscribe
and I'll catch you guys in the next one

Ewangeliarz OP - 23 stycznia 2017 - (Mk 3, 22-30) - Duration: 2:10.
If it was said by a man,
who is really limited intellectually,
I would not made a problem.
But it was said, by the person who has a great knowledge,
who has a certificate at graduation.
And I just rub my eyes in amazement.
How can you say such nonsense.
I think, everyone has been in such situation.
When just could not believe,
that this person speaks such nonsense,
who has education and it seems,
that this person has knowledge about reality.
This todays Gospel says,
that the most ridiculous,
the most sinister
and most demonic accusations,
the idea to interpret Jesus
had who? - Scholars in law.
Scholars in the law.
People, who has spent hours on studying Biblie.
And those people invent,
the most ridiculous objection to Jesus.
Yes.
There is the kind of crack in us,
that can swallow our whole knowledge.
And it can destroy it so much,
that the only thing that is left is an awful poison and the height of absurd.
And this crack is the tendency to become blind,
tendency to become stupid.
Do you observe yourself very carefully,
and this tendency, to not fall into this madness?

The Māori Portraits: What people are saying - Duration: 1:21.
I don't know what I really expected but it was better, the paintings are almost lifelike.
They're beautiful portraits, they're stunning.
The portraits looks like photographs you can really see the etching of the moko that doesn't
just look like a painting.
The pictures are really, really detailed.
It was an astonishing exhibit.
A friend of mine brought me here and when we arrived here she said her great great grandfather's
portrait is there.
I was really looking to see whether I could recognise an ancestor of mine. It just gave
me that extra spiritual connection.
It was really cool seeing all of the old Māori people and finding out facts about them.
Definitely come in and check it out.
Yeah, definitely worth a visit.
It's the first time but I would certainly love to come again.
Loved it.
A very timely opportunity for such an exhibition to inform our nation of the artistry Lindauer
captured for our history.
It's absolutely fabulous, everybody should see it.
