Youtube daily report w Jan 23 2017

He told the guy

he said

"When you want to succeed

as bad as you want to breathe,

then you'll be successful."

How many people from Detroit?

Raise your hand.

Anybody from Detroit?

I'm from Detroit.

How many people didn't have

their father in thier life? Raise you hand.

Yep thats me.

How many mom

your mom was young when she had you?

Raise your hand. Yep good.

How many went to Detroit public school?

Absolutely.

I just want people to know

like you can literally become number one in your field

from those circumstances.

Aight I'm a firm believer

that talent alone is not enough to be successful.

I'm a firm believer that

energy is more important then anything.

The amount of energy you put into something,

the amount of effort that you give.

Aight, I am a firm believer that just because

you grew up in a certain neighborhood

Just because your parents might be rich

or your mom's a doc

like they are not giving out success

they're not giving out degrees.

So what I'm trying to explain to you is that

thing on that piece of paper

that's your life.

That's your liberty

like that's next level for you.

Don't look at it as a job

or don't look at as you got to go to class.

Like whatever you write down

you are literally in school

because you are here

to put yourself in a position to make that happen.

So every single day when you wake up

this is what should be on your mind.

This is what you should be pursuing.

And if it doesn't have anything to do with that

then we got a problem.

So I want to show you guys something real quick.

Aight lets go to the

can we go to the

I think Green Bay,

Green Bay, Dallas.

Yep, window of opportunity.

Play clock down to three.

Rodgers spins to his left!

and the pass is incomplete

out of bounds, now they say complete.

The offical, the second one came in

and overruled the other Jared Cook

and with 3 seconds left

the Packers are going to have a chance to win it.

This to send the Packers in the NFC Championship game.

Its is.....

GOOD!

The Packers are moving on!

You got a small window young people.

You got a small window.

And the problem when you're 17, 18, 19

you think you have forever.

It's a disease for young people.

It's a disease when you're young

you like man I can go to this party,

I'll bounce back.

I'm good.

I don't gotta study this week. I'll bounce back.

I'm on academic probabtion. I'll bounce back.

Like you just keep

you just keep bouncing back.

You know what I'm saying It's ok

I'm on final, you know what I'm saying its like

probation like serious probation.

Like go home probation.

They sending you home

you like I'll be

you telling all your friends I'll be back.

No you won't.

I'm being real.

Because you didn't take advantage of

did you see the window?

Did anybody watch the

did anybody watch the pattern he ran?

Was it a hard pattern?

My man was just like get to the spot.

It was third and twenty in case yall don't know

they don't have a play for third and twenty.

Like Coach never draws up

Aight on third and twenty

I want cha to run a sweet option to the left

and come over real slow

and jog thru the middle of the field.

That's our play for the middle.

No such thing.

Drew the play up before.

You just outta of everyone's way

and you catch it ....BOOM!

They won the game with what?

Three seconds left.

I'm under the impression that

the Packers did not win

with three seconds left.

They won in the first quarter.

They won in the first quarter!

You like they wont in the forth quater Eric.

I saw them get the ball.

No they won in the first quarter.

You think you gonna to wait till the last minute.

They didn't wait till the last minute.

They won in the first quarter.

They won the second quarter.

And they did what they had to do in the forth quarter

to secure the victory.

At no point did the Cowboys ever like take a lead.

Why?

Because they were trying to play catch up

because the Packers came out

First quarter got it. Secon quarter got it.

Third quarter we got it.

And we don't gotta play catch up

we'll just get that last play

and the 51

and it's OVER!

Some of you trying to wait till the forth quarter

I'm telling you it ain't gonna happen.

You gonna make a sweet comeback.

You gonna make a sweet comeback.

And still fail that class with like a 68.9

You like

*Laughing*

BOOM!

Pass the forth test.

Boom! Pass the 5th test.

Boom! Almst past the 6th test.

Boom! Flunk the final.

There some grown folks in here

that will tell you

that thier life is not where they want it to be.

And it didn't start today.

They didn't start messing up today.

They didn't mess up last week and got here.

This some stuff from 18

This some eighteen year old decision.

This is decisions they made when they were 21.

When they were 22.

They made those decisions that landed them here.

You are in the first quarter of your life.

Go ahead in life. Go up!

Nutritional Yeast: What is it? Why eat it? 2 yummy recipes! - Duration: 6:49.

If you haven't run into a plant based recipe

calling for nutritional yeast just yet, you will,

and probably pretty often.

I'm going to explain exactly what this strange sounding

food is, tell you why in the world anyone would want to

eat it, and I'm going to show you two quick

and delicious recipes using it.

(piano music)

So let's get to the good stuff first.

Why would you want to eat nutritional yeast?

Well, it's the flavor, it is nutty

and so cheesy tasting, and it brings this

incredible richness to any dish that it's used in.

And on top of that it has protein, fiber, and B vitamins.

So what is it anyway?

Well simply put, it's deactivated yeast.

It's typically cultured using sugarcane or beet molasses,

and then once it's ready they harvest it,

wash and dry it, and then

this is what it looks like.

Pretty cool, right?

The first time I ran into a recipe that called for

nutritional yeast, I had no idea what that was,

and I certainly didn't know where to buy it.

So let me save you a little time

and I will tell you that if you are at

a regular grocery store, not necessarily a natural market,

but just a regular chain grocery store,

if they have it most likely it will be in their

bulk food section, in one of those bins,

and it will just be labelled nutritional yeast.

They may also have it on the baking aisle,

or next to spices in a canister or a bag,

that is a possibility.

If you are at a health food store, or a natural market,

chances are they will have the canisters and or bags

somewhere in the store, and you can ask someone

who works there and they will most likely

know exactly what you're talking about.

Also check the bulk foods section,

it is definitely less expensive there,

as is everything.

So, and then what I would recommend is maybe

go on Amazon and type in nutritional yeast

and it will bring up the different brands

and their different packaging and that way,

you know, you'll know kind of what you're looking for

when you get to the store, you'll know what type

of packaging you're looking for.

And what you can do once you get it home is,

it does keep for quite a long time, you can store it

in an airtight container either in your cupboard

or in the refrigerator, and just make sure

it's airtight and you'll be all set.

Okay, so let's get to the recipes.

I am going to show you the ingredient list

for both of these recipes, but if you don't want to

write it down, you don't have to,

I have created a little recipe cheat sheet

and linked to it in the description area below,

and you can just click on that if you want me

to shoot you off a free copy of that, it's no problem.

This first recipe, I call it a pasta topping,

although I use it on so many things

and I know a lot of other people do too.

And I got this particular recipe from a book called

Unprocessed, it's a cookbook, and it's written by Chef AJ,

and I have linked to that as well as some of her

Youtube videos in the description area below as well.

Okay, so here we go.

So you'll have just three ingredients for this recipe.

The first one is one cup of unsalted walnuts,

and you could certainly use one cup of unsalted cashews,

or unsalted almonds in place of the walnuts

if you prefer.

You'll need a half a cup of nutritional yeast,

either the large flake or the small flake, doesn't matter.

And then one and a half tablespoons of salt substitute.

And you could certainly use real salt in place of that

if you prefer, I would start with a smaller amount,

maybe one teaspoon, see how that tastes,

then you can always add more if you need to.

You'll want to be careful with that,

I'm not sure the exact measurement for actual salt.

Then you're going to throw those three things into

either a high speed blender, or better yet

a food processor.

And just turn it on for maybe 20 or 30 seconds

until everything is flaked together really nicely.

And that is it.

Pretty easy, right?

All right, so once you've got it all made up

you're gonna probably have enough to last you

a little while, so you can store it in an

air tight container in the refrigerator,

because it has nuts in it it's probably better

to keep it in the refrigerator

especially since they're ground up.

And then I usually always keep some in a little shaker

like this guy here, and that way

it's just real handy.

And, as I mentioned, I eat it on all kinds of things,

and I would recommend trying it on baked potatoes,

steamed veggies, over a rice dish,

on popcorn, you can, honestly I don't know

that you can run out of things to put it on,

it's just, it's so yummy.

So if you have any questions about that

please do let me know in the comments section below,

I'd be happy to answer them as best I can.

Now we're gonna get into a salad dressing recipe.

It is very yummy, it only has four ingredients,

and it has no oil.

So that's pretty exciting.

I found this recipe, first of all, in a cookbook called

Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease

and it's by the Esselstyns,

and it's a excellent excellent cookbook,

I highly recommend it.

I took the recipe from there and I tweaked it

a little bit to make it my own,

you should do the same, that's what it's all about, right?

Tweak it until it's just perfect for you.

So let's go ahead and get into this.

The ingredients you'll need for this salad dressing are

two tablespoons of white vinegar,

two tablespoons of nutritional yeast,

either the large flake or the small flake,

one tablespoon of Dijon mustard,

or you can substitute it for a different type of mustard

if you prefer, and one tablespoon of pure maple syrup.

Now the recipe I just showed you makes enough

for one salad, or maybe two, depending on

the size of the salad and how much dressing you like.

But what I usually do is I either quadruple,

or at least triple that recipe when I make it,

and then I just whip it up in a little bottle like this one,

and it makes it really easy.

I'll just stick it in the fridge

and I'm all set for several days,

and I would recommend trying that also.

So there you go, two fun new recipes to try out.

I really hope that you like em, but I also hope

that you'll take and play with them,

adjust them a little bit, make them, you know,

to suit your own personal preferences.

That's what it's all about.

If you would like me to send you a free copy

of that recipe spreadsheet that I mentioned earlier,

again, the link's just in the description area below.

If you enjoyed this video, and I hope that you did,

please be sure and let me know by clicking on

the like button below, share it with your friends

if you think they'd enjoy it,

and if you would like to receive more content

on plant based basics for beginners

be sure and subscribe to the channel,

there will be lots of good stuff coming along.

Thanks so much for hanging out with me,

I hope we do it again soon.

Take good care.

Gisele Bündchen praises Women's March as husband Tom Brady stays mute on Trump - Duration: 1:22.

Gisele Bündchen is standing up for women while husband Tom Brady sits this one out.

The supermodel spoke out on Twitter Sunday morning following massive Women's Marches around the country after President Trump's inauguration.

"What a powerful moment. May we continue to march together always leading with love, compassion, understanding, grace and peace," Bündchen captioned a black-and-white photo of a sign that quoted Hillary Clinton's concession speech: "To all the little girls watching right now: never doubt that you are valuable & powerful & deserving of every chance in the world."

The Patriots quarterback, on the other hand, has passed on questions about his relationship with the President.

"I don't have much to say," Brady said at a Gillette Stadium press conference Friday after being asked about his "good friend." "Um...did I call him? Let's talk about football."

Her husband Tom Brady has recently refused to comment on his friendship with President Trump.

At a donors event in Washington, D.C., Thursday night, Trump claimed that Brady called him to congratulate the President on his inauguration.

IF I WAS YOUR GIRL *SPOILER FREE* + DIVERSITY DISCUSSION | kavyathebibliophile - Duration: 7:11.

I know the lighting isn't perfect, but

it's raining outside and I really want to

get this video out today because

it's been over a week since I posted one,

so this is the best I can do. Sorry.

Hello, you gorgeous individuals! It's

Kav here, I hope you're all having a

lovely day or night wherever you are and

today I'm going to be talking about

If I Was Your Girl by Meredith

Russo. If I Was Your Girl is an

ownvoices, contemporary love story featuring

a trans main character. For those of you

who don't know, ownvoices means that the

author has the same identity as the

main character. The main character's name is Amanda and

she has divorced parents and she grew up

with her mom, but due to circumstances

surrounding her transition and her

coming to terms with her identity as a

transgender female, she ends up moving

in with her dad and finishing her senior year

off at a school where he lives. When she

goes to school there, she meets this boy - Grant,

and her one wish that she has for her

senior year is that no one finds out that

she's trans, but she starts becoming

very close to Grant and she doesn't

really know how to make sure that she

keeps it from him, but it's something

she tries really hard to do. I gave this

novel four out of five stars and for those

of you who have added me on Goodreads

you'll know that I recently updated my

review of it and that's because when I

read it, though it was only a few months

ago, I have actually changed my way of

looking at books and my format of

reviewing since then - and I know it seems sounds silly

because I actually read this book at

the end of 2016,

but it was during that time I started

becoming really involved in the book

community, I think, and because of that I

have started changing the way I look at

books and reviewing it which is why I

updated my review and was a little bit

less critical of this book than I was

originally, but I still stand by all

the things that I said in my original

review - I just think that the positives

really do outweigh the negatives. The two

main issues I had with this novel were

that I personally wanted a little bit

more of Amanda herself and a little bit

less of her and Grant and I do

understand that it's a love story, but I

would've just like a little bit more focus on

Amanda herself, but that was just more of a

personal preference for me. The other

small issue I had with with it was that though I do know

the south is known as a primarily

Caucasian environment, I would've liked some

more involvement of people of color

characters because there wasn't actually

any prominent person of color in this

book. That being said I still think that

this is such an important story to read -

something that the author did,

the she actually addresses in the end

of the book if you have the same copy as

me, is that she addresses that she tried to

make Amanda's transition a little bit easier

for cisreaders or for people who just

don't know as much about the trans

community to understand and this can kind of

be a first book and a kind of opening up

into the world of the trans community and

I think that's something that can be

really helpful for people who are

looking to be better educated on the

trans community.

I also think that for people who also do know a lot of about the trans community, such as

myself as I do identify as non-binary,

it's still a very important read because even though

Amanda's transition is simplified, that

doesn't change what this story holds and

the importance of the story. So, despite

the fact that I do have two small issues

with it I still think that the positives

really outweigh the negatives and it's a

book that I would highly recommend

everyone read and it's just such an

important story we need to hear more of

these stories. My main reason for

wanting to make this review was really

to bring it to your attention, I guess,

because I think this story is incredibly

important and I want it to be featured

on my channel - it's something that I want

to promote because I think that stories

like this and especially ownvoices

novels are incredibly important

especially considering the recent

situation and everything with the

election and everything, so I think that

it's incredibly important that we all

make sure that we're diversifying our

bookshelves and that's one of my biggest

goals for this year. My last four books

that I bought have all been diverse

novels and that's something I'm really trying

to keep up with this year and it's something I hope that

you guys will join me in doing. As I

said, I've recently become more involved

in the book community - especially since

creating this channel and starting to

become more involved on book twitter and

everything, I have really started seeing

the importance of including diversity

and that's why I wanted to talk about

this novel - it wasn't necessarily

because I was dying to share my opinions

with you all or anything. I gave it four out of five

stars, so I'd definitely recommend it to you

all, but I mainly wanted to talk about it

because it's such an important story and

I think it's something that we all need

to hear more of and we need to see more often. I

think this is where I'm going to

conclude this review / discussion. I

don't necessarily know if I would call

this a review as my usual reviews

because it wasn't quite as in depth and

everything as they usually are - it was

more just a discussion and to bring it to your guys'

attention. but it will still be in the review

playlist and it will still be titled

a review because that's the closest to what

it was I guess. I hope you guys enjoyed

this video and I hope that you guys

start picking up more diverse novels.

Like I said, that's what I'm going to be

trying to do this year. If you liked this video,

please give it a like and subscribe so

that you never miss and your video of

mine - if all goes as planned, I should be

having two more reviews coming out this

week and then a lot more cool videos

coming out in February as well. It would just

be great to have you as part of our little

book community.

Comment down below what your thoughts

were on this novel. Be sure to leave

comments down below of diverse novels that

you would recommend or authors by

someone who's lgbt or a person of color

author, I'd definitely love to hear some of

your guys' favorite diverse reads, so definitely

leave those in the comments below. As usual, all my social media will be in the

description below, I post pretty often especially on

twitter and I talk about all these

issues again on the my social media as

well, so if you want to follow me there

and if you want to add me on Goodreads, even

if I don't review a book here, I review

every single book I read on Goodreads and most of my reviews do really cover what I

feel, so you can definitely add me on

there. That's about all for this video,

thank you so much for watching, I hope

you have a great day or night wherever you are, I love

you all and goodbye!
