Why do rich people live longer than poor people?

Scientists have struggled to untangle the causes for decades.

Is it differing lifestyles?

Access to health care?

Or does social status itself affect a person's health?

Well, it turns out a group of monkeys may hold the answers.

Scientists recently decided to create social groups among rhesus macaques, a social animal

that like humans form strict social hierarchies.

In the experiment, 45 female monkeys were placed into 9 groups of 5, introducing new

monkeys 1 by 1 into their new group.

The first monkey in the group was always the highest ranking with the last monkey ending

up at the bottom of the social order, experiencing isolation and harassment.

The monkeys lived like this for a year, at which point the scientists moved them around

again.

The monkeys with the same rank were were placed in new groups, forming new social hierarchies

by again introducing monkeys one at a time.

So the monkeys who had all been at the top of their first groups were now all together,

with four of the five now experiencing a new social class.

Researchers then analyzed blood samples from the macaques and found that immune cells taken

from the lower-ranking monkeys were more likely to show increased inflammation, which has

been linked to a whole host of health problems.

Conversely, monkeys who went up in social class experienced the opposite.

Their immune cells improved.

This study suggests that it's not just behavior or genetics that affect the monkeys' health,

but that social hierarchy itself is also a factor.

And according to Professor Graham Rook, from University College London, "the evidence

is showing the findings are terrifically applicable to humans."

While this study was not conducted on humans, we do know that social class plays a dramatic

role on our life expectancies.

For example, for men born in 1920 there was a 5 year difference in life expectancy between

the top 10 percent and the bottom 10 percent.

But as the wealth gap in the U.S. became more extreme over the years, so did the life expectancy

gap.

For men born in 1940, the difference in years lived rose to an alarming 12 years.

So what can be done?

As one researcher of the the macaque study put it, "if we could flatten the slope so

the difference between highest and lowest weren't as much… we could mediate some

of those consequences."

So, based on this study, perhaps the long-term cure for many ailments won't come from medicine

after all, but from economic policies that work toward a more equal society.

How To Use FlashFire App |Full Guide|Real Tutorial - Duration: 8:32.

FlashFire APP is a very powerful tool for rooted android devices and it's the only alternative

for custom recoveries at this moment , It can be used to flash anything like custom

ROMs , kernels , recoveries ,MODs, even the Stock firmwares can be flashed too , You have

also the ability to backup and restore your custom ROMs safely.

Shark jungle is here and I'm gonna show you all the options in flashFire App and how to

use it.

The tutorial is 6 parts , those parts will cover almost every thing about flashFire App

, you can use time line in the video description to watch only the part you need.

1-Requirements and compatibility Android 4.2+ or newer

Root access Full root access is required, using either

a recent version of SuperSU, or CM's su , Phh's Super user is not supported.

1 GB RAM A lot of RAM is used by flashFire.

Operations may fail completely on low memory devices

Unlocked bootloader I highly recommend not to use this App on

a locked bootloader.

Supported Devices Google- Samsung

While flashFire is primarily developed and tested on Google Nexus and Samsung flagship

devices, basic testing has been done on many other brands and devices, and users are using

it successfully on many more.

2-Getting started Interface

The interface consists of several pages, selectable in the slide-out menu on the left-hand side

of the screen.

The Actions page is opened by default at app launch

Action Page This page will display all the action cards

you gonna create using the plus button You can edit any action by tapping over the

Action's card it may be necessary to change the order of

the actions being performed.

This can be done simply by tapping and holding the card, then dragging it up or down.

An action can be removed by swiping its card left or right.

Safety test After installing FlashFire App it's recommended

to do any safe action just to check if the App works correctly or not ,creating an ID

backup for example will be a fast and safe action to do , Open the App hit the plus button,

tap on backup and choose ID then hit flash, The screen will go black for 30 seconds or

less then your device will reboot after that go to FlashFire APP and open Backups then

check if the backup is there or not.

If you find it then your safety test passed successfully, If not then try again and you

should see it.

3-Backup Before doing any backup

Go to settings choose the compression method None means no compression and this will be

the fastest method for backup but with a bigger file size

lZ4 for good speed and small file size and this is the default option.

Gzip for better compression and smaller file size

and if you gonna use the Gzip then make sure to choose how much cores to do the compression

but keep in mind that using all cores will generate more heat, So it's better to leave

it in the middle.

I'm gonna use lz4 which is the default selection.

Now hit the plus button ans select backup, You will find a set of choices ,I'm gonna

do the normal backup make sure to select system, data, and boot.

For most cases, this is sufficient for backing up a ROM, if you want to backup all the folders

in the internal storage then leave it selected, For me I don't need to backup the internal

storage folders so I'm gonna deselect it . Give your backup a unique name and choose

the backup location, Note that you can use USB storage if your device supports that.

Hit OK In order to finish the backup your device

needs a reboot, leave every thing as it is.

then hit the flash button.

The backup speed will depend on your SDcard speed ,processor speed and the compression

level ,for the best results use the internal storage for the backup if you have enough

space.

The screen will go black for 30 seconds or less then you will be able to see process

progress on your screen.

Now the backup is finished and the device rebooted, Let's check the backup

Open flashFire App and hit backup and now you will be able to see your backups.

4-Flash Stock Firmware I've done this part separately in another

video , you will find the link in the video description.

4-Flash ZIP or OTA You can use flashFire to flash any ZIP file

to your device as soon as this file is compatible with your device model, Some of these zips

require wiping specially custom ROMs that has a different base from the one installed

on your device, So if the ZIP file you gonna flash requires wiping then you will have to

do it, In this case I highly recommend to have TWRP custom recovery installed on your

device if something goes wrong and make sure to do a backup by FlashFire before flashing

any custom ROM.

I'm gonna flash a custom ROM on my device Hit the plus button select wipe, choose system

data, 3rd party APPs and dalvik then hit OK Hit the plus button again and go to flash

zip or OTA, Navigate to the zip file location , Select the zip file and hit OK, If you gonna

flash multiple zips then do the same for the other ZIPs

I'm gonna add GAPPs zip file Now tap and hold over the wipe action card

and move it to the top, You can also use this option to adjust the flashing sequence.

If the ROM you gonna flash didn't have Supersu by default then you can inject SuperSU to

get it installed , For me I'm gonna leave it cos the ROM I'm gonna flash already have

it.

Now hit flash and wait for the ROM to be installed.

the ROM installation is finished and the device rebooted to prepare the ROM for the first

boot.

If you gonna flash any ROM that have Aroma installer then make sure to check emulate

frame buffer before flashing the ROM and if the ROM didn't flash correctly then go back

and uncheck it then try flashing the ROM again.

5- Restore Now I'm going to show you how to restore the

backup I just made in the backup part Hit the plus button,go to restore and select

the backup file then OK and hit the flash button

No need to do any wipe while restoring your ROM.

Wait for the file to be extracted and copied, The restore time will depend on your device

speed ,SDcard speed and the level of compression, For best results use your internal storage

for backup and restore.

Now the Backup has been restored and as you see every thing running perfectly.

6-If things goes wrong Some times after hitting the flash button

the screen will go black for more that 30 seconds and the device shuts down and this

means that the process has been failed, Nothing harmful will happen to your device all you

need just reboot your device and give it another try then it should work.

The best part in FlashFire App backups that they are compatible with TWRP so if you experienced

any problem while using FlashFire and you are not able to boot into system again in

this case you can use TWRP to do a restore with the FlashFire backups you made before.

Just boot into TWRP and hit install then select FlashFire folder go to the desired backup

and you will find a file named TWRP , just select it and swipe to flash and every thing

will go back

to normal.

artificial intelligence, or AI, is also way more prevalent than we'd often think

things like Google predicting what we want to see as our search results

Facebook auto-tagging us into the ugliest photos of ourselves

or even the auto-correct on our phones

if you press the first thing your phone suggests for you

thirteen times in a row

then you find out exactly what your phone thinks of you

see mine is 'I love you too mio tutto

and I am performing at the moment and I'

clearly my phone thinks I'm loving

Italian, a performer and

cannot list things in a grammatically correct fashion

so, how does AI work?

well, as a super simplified explanation

it takes variables, the data associated with these variables

and uses these to classify things into likely categories

a bit like a super thorough Buzzfeed quiz

as an example, if a machine is trying to suggest a restaurant to me

it could use the variable of

whether I've written a scathing review for a prospective restaurant before

you made me wait

twenty minutes for fries

I shall destroy you

collect the data and then use it to classify it into

a 'suggest' or 'don't suggest' category

no scathing review, suggest

it could then use extra variables to improve prediction accuracy

like, whether the restaurant is within five kilometres

six hundred and fifty kilometres away

on an island with known cannibals

would be fun to suggest

not allowed

don't suggest

and then continue in such a fashion

firstly Who am I? well my name is Anna

and I am English that's right i was born

in the north of England in a small town

called southport which is near Liverpool

I grew up in Manchester which is a city

in the north of England then I went to

university to study acting in birmingham

which is in the Midlands I then came to

London to do a master's degree in

teaching and in singing most of my life

I've been focused on being a

professional actress and singer and I've

also alongside that being a teacher now

fully-qualified English teacher but I am

between 40,000 50,000 followers across

all the different platforms and across

all the different businesses

this means that I am incredibly busy

websites and read and respond

all comments and messages which

unfortunately as you probably guessed

means i can't respond to everybody so if

you send me a question that is relevant

about an idiom or a certain phrase or is

this sentence correct then those will

always take priority and i'll try my

best to answer you and help you as best

hello everyone

today i bring you a make up tutorial inspired by the

beautiful mua Sofia Karimah

sometime ago she posted on her facebook page

a make up tutorial with green eyeshadows

2 eyeshadows,1 darker that you apply in

the outer and inner corner of your eye

and in the centre of the lid a lighter one

let's go to the tutorial, i hope you like it

so let's begin

i think she already had her eyebrows done...

they are always on fleek

i wish i had them

i'm going to use my transition shade

cinnamon from make up obsession

this time i brought all my brushes...

to make it easy

i'm sorry if i am talking with that voice

but i'm still sick,i hope you can hear me

apply it on the crease and blend it

then she applied a green dark eyeshadow in her

outer and inner corner

i will use the one i got from the swap i did with

eduarda paiva

it's from make up revolution shade eden

she left the center of the lid with no eyeshadow

begin with the corner you are most comfortable with

i will start by the outer corner

draw an outer v like i already told you too

and unite the 2 corners in the crease very carefully

so there's that empty space on my lid where we

will apply the lighter shade

i'm going to use from my make up revolution pallete

i'm going to use this lighter shade of green

and i'm going to apply it on the center of

my lid

apply it in the empty space/middle of your lid

in the video she uses pigments

i will use my kiko infinity sparkle on top of

the brighter green

i don't what she meant with her video

because everybody knows i love green

i can't remember exactly what she did next

but i think the most logical one would be to

use my eye pencil on my water line and lash line

then i will blend the water line with the color i

used on my crease to stick the pencil

now i'm going to use gel eyeliner

i received some tips on how to use the one

from avon super chock

let's put some faith in this

so i finally managed to do my eyeliner

her eyeliner is more thin but you know me i like it thick

i'm going to use a highlighter shadow

thisone from sephora movie popcorn

to light my inner corner and under the eyebrow bone

now let's apply loads of mascara

in the video she uses falsies but as you all

know i wear glasses so for me that's not an option

there should be a nobel category for someone

who would come up with false lashes for those

who wear glasses

i'm going to apply the rest and i'll be right back

so that's my final look

i have applied my primer, foundation

compact powder, bronzer, blush

and some highlighter

in the video she doesn't show these steps

she only shows the eye make up

but as i said before this is an inspirational work

and i loved her work

i don't remember the color of lipstick she was wearing

it's your choice, go with what suits you best

Criticising Islam is Islamophobia Debunked - Duration: 8:35.

These days, if you criticise someone's political allegiance, their favourite film, or their

taste in music nobody bats an eyelid, and the person being criticised will likely either

consider your criticisms or ignore them.

Hell, even if you criticise a person's religion the reaction is generally the same… that

is, unless you criticise Islam… then you'll have the regressive left, Social Justice Warriors,

and all sorts of Muslims calling you gross, racist and islamophobic… this is, Criticizing

Islam is Islamophobic – Debunked.

So, this video is going to rustle some jimmies – there's no doubt about it.

And while I assume that most of you lovely lot will resonate with what follows, some

of you inevitably won't.

And what's more is that some of you, such as those who got here from a far left source,

will have already disliked this video and have labelled me an islamophobe… and that's

a problem – a big problem.

To quote Sam Harris, "we have been sold this meme of islamophobia, where every criticism

of the doctrine of Islam gets conflated with bigotry towards Muslims as people", and

it's because of this fact that this video exists altogether.

Anyhow, the purpose of this video is to convince people (including yourself, if you're not

already convinced), that conflating criticism of Islam and Muslims with islamophobia isn't

just a problem… it's dangerous!

With that said, I want to begin by making it abundantly clear that I'm not saying

that islamophobia is a myth or that it doesn't exist… it does.

There are unfortunately many people who're prejudice against Islam and Muslims for racist

and bigoted reasons.

However, despite there being people who're prejudice against Islam for racist reasons,

it is a fact that Islam is not a race.

Period.

To call all critics of Islam racist is as moronic as calling all critics of the new

Ghostbusters movie sexist… wait a second…

Now that we've settled that Islam is not a race [we have haven't we?], let's now

address some of the criticisms of Islam that have been conflated with bigotry, racism and

islamophobia.

Beginning with the assertion that "Islam and Muslims treat homosexuals appallingly."

Is this a valid criticism?

Or is it invalid, and indeed islamophobic?

Well, Iran, with a 99.4% Muslim population, and Saudi Arabia, with an estimated 95% Muslim

population, both demand the death penalty for homosexual practise, and they both justify

this rule with explicit reference to Islamic teaching.

That is, explicit reference to Sharia Law.

Within the Quran Mohammed says "whoever you find committing the sin of the people

of Lut, kill them, both the one who does it and the one to whom it is done", and a Hadith

plainly states that, "if a man who is not married seized committing sodomy, he will

be stoned to death".

What's more is that poll after poll after poll confirms that Muslims overwhelmingly

want homosexuals to be punished.

To name but one example, a poll surveyed by Civitas, found that 61% of British Muslims

endorsed the statement that "homosexuality is wrong and should be illegal".

Hence, the assertion that Islam and Muslims treat homosexuals appallingly is not only

valid –it's a fact.

What about the assertion that "99% of suicide attacks are by Muslims"?

Is this claim islamophobic?

Seems at best exaggerated, right?

Well, according to the Institute for National Security Studies, in 2015, 450 out of 452

suicide attacks (that is, over 99% of suicide attacks), were indeed committed by Muslims

with explicit reference to the Islamic teaching of Jihad and Martyrdom.

The truth of the matter is that while the Quran and the Hadith don't promote suicide,

they do promote martyrdom – which is the sacrifice of one's life in defence of Islam.

To name but one example, the Quran (4:74) states that, "let those fight in the way

of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other.

Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall

bestow a vast reward."

So, when Sam Harris says that, "the truth that we must finally confront is that Islam

contains specific notions of martyrdom and jihad that fully explain the character of

Muslim violence", he is making a valid and fair criticism.

He is not being islamophobic.

What about the assertion that "Islam and Muslims treat women like second-class citizens"?

Is this a fair criticism?

Well, from refereeing to wives as property, to stating that a man's testimony is worth

twice that of a woman's, to the outright assertion that men are a degree above women,

the Quran contains countless verses that belittle and subjugate woman.

Now of course, the Bible also grotesquely belittles woman, but the difference is, at

least in this day and age, that Christians no longer endorse this nonsense but Muslims

do…

To name but one example, according to Pew Research Centre, who over four years conducted

more than 38,000 face-to-face interviews in over 80 different languages, over 80% of Muslims

agreed that a wife must obey her husband.

And finally, the last assertion we'll address in this video is the statement that "Islam

is intolerant to criticism and wants critics killed".

Ah… we already know this one is valid, don't we?

The Quran and Hadith both have several verses explicitly demanding the death penalty to

those who Insult Islam, but to name but one example, the Quran states, in verse 6:93,

that, "who can be more wicked than one who invent a lie against Allah?"

If the death penalty is prescribed for lesser crime, then it stands to reason that it should

be imposed for the most "wicked."

Because of verses like this, and indeed because of Sharia Law altogether, countries such as

Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt all justify the death penalty to those who insult Islam,

Allah, the Quran and Muhammad.

And what's more is that polls around the world, to which I have linked to in the description,

clearly show that Muslims heavily favour making Sharia law the official law of their country,

and by extension, they favour silencing those who criticise Islam.

These facts may not fit the narrative of some of the Left, but facts they remain.

If Muslims want critics silenced, and the left deliver this to them, we'll be left

with an ideology that can't be criticised… and that's never worked out well for humankind.

So, with all of what I've just said in mind, and to put it simply, I criticise Islam because

I think it is the mother-load of bad ideas!

It cause otherwise decent people to say and do atrocious things.

From the denigration of woman to the denial of equal right, to the rejection of science

to the celebration of harmful festivals, to the mistreatment of animals to the genital

mutilation of children, Islam not only warrants criticism, it necessitates it!

If you know someone that would call such criticisms gross, racist and islamophobic, then they're

not only a fool… they're dangerous – and the consequences of them conflating criticism

with bigotry may one day see our children in chains.

They've got to wake up!

Whether they agree with us or not, Islam, like all ideologies, must be open to criticism,

and deep down, they damn well know it!

Anyhow, on a calmer note, thank you kindly for the view, and here's an overwhelmingly

powerful argument to consider: Not subscribing to my channel is subscriptionphobia.

First Day at a Stand Up Desk - Duration: 3:53.

Most of my day is spent at my desk because that's where I do most of my things.

Whether I'm creating, designing, doing research, reading articles, writing, making these videos,

editing them or even just surfing the internet.

I can't really remember the last time I experienced a full day without experiencing

some kind of back pain.

So this morning I'm at my desk and I'm trying to take care of any priorities that

I may have.

And almost immediately I start feeling back pain.

So then, out of the blue I decided to change my desk to a standing desk as the legs that

support the table are adjustable.

So by the time I did that it was 9-ish in the morning.

So then I just carried on with my day like usual.

And after about an hour I began to feel pain relief.

Some of the information I found online is that your not trying to stand the whole day,

your trying to balance it out.

Stand and then when your legs need a break, you sit down, rest and then when you feel

like you can stand again, you stand.

So after about two hours of standing I felt like my legs needed a short break so I sat

for maybe thirty minutes.

And one of the things that I realised is, in the past usually when I would sit down

I'd always feel mild discomfort.

I'm constantly trying to move and find where I can be comfortable while sitting.

But my back always felt uncomfortable.

So after standing for two hours and then sitting down to take a break, one of the things that

came to mind was that I haven't felt this good and comfortable sitting down in a long

time.

And not only that but usually in the past when I would be sitting down, I would often

catch myself hunching over.

Where as today after I was standing for a period of time and then I sat to take a break,

I noticed that I was sitting in good posture throughout the course of the short break.

So I did this throughout the course of the day of switching between standing and sitting

down.

It's now 6:30 at night.

I did experience mild soreness in my legs but it's nothing, it's very mild.

I thought it might be much worse due to some things I read online and especially from the

fact that I'm not a very active person.

And another thing is that I haven't experienced any back pain yet today which is a good thing.

So I'm thinking in a month's time I'll make another video talking about this after

I've really done it time and time again.

Just kind of talking about the experience and if anythings changed.

Drizzelda is Jinxed? Yo-kai Watch 2 - Duration: 3:40.

Welcome to Tokyosaurus, today we have another japanese character origin video which we'll

go into depth to see where their design inspiration comes from as well as to give you a better

background of what the original character is all about. So today, we'll be talking about

Drizzelda from yo-kai watch 2. Drizzelda is a Rank C water attribute yokai of the charming

tribe. She has the appearance of a ghostly pale girl with straight long dark blue hair.

Always with a sad expression and eyes, the umbrella on her head add to the dramatic effect.

There is constantly a puddle of water underneath her that looks like it's part of her dress.

LEVEL5 made sure you know she was sadtimes. She has rainmaking powers and this has probably

caused her low self esteem as everywhere she goes, it rains. When she inspirits someone,

Drizzelda shares her personality with them and they become just as depressed and self

critical. In both the anime and games, Drizzelda has a romantic relationship with Ray O Light

as both of them are always seen together. But no more on that, in case some of you don't

want to be spoiled. The pair is very similar to Dismarelda and Happierre from the first

Yokai Watch. With a gloomy female paired with a sunny minded male.

So where could this walking sad story be inspired from? Drizzelda's Japanese name is Ame-Onna

and it turns out a japanese spirit has the exact same name. Which makes me wonder why

Drizzelda isn't classified under classic yokai. But there are other yokai before that

have been directly inspired by a folklore yokai of the name that is not classified a

classic yokai so this is nothing new. Ame-onna literally means rain woman. Unlike rain deities,

Ame Onna are not nice spirits at all. They appear on rainy days and nights and summon

rain whereever they go. They sometimes use the rain to distract people to kidnap or spirit

children away. They are often depicted as depraved, old, and soaked with rainwater.

They often lick the rain off their hands and arms like wild animals.

Sometimes, the rain she brings may save a village in drought and bring fortune to some

farmers but ame onna always has another purpose in mind. They'll wander the villages for

newborn babies to snatch them by spiriting them away to turn them into another ame onna.

It is also believed that mothers who have had their babies taken away by ame onna, often

become ame onna themselves out of grief and despair. Once transformed, they will roam

around town with a large sack in hope to replace what was stolen from them while they were

still human in an almost animalistic way. Basically, they turn into a baby hunting zombie.

They find babies by listening for crying children and sometimes, mothers would use this story

in effort to tell their child to stop crying. If you encountered one, there is very little

you can do in effort to drive it away except to hide your baby. Or stop your baby from

crying.

In modern japan, Ame onna is a common term to refer to an unlucky person that seems to

be jinxed to have rain follow them wherever they go. They actually mean bad weather when

they say rain so people in Japan hear the word Ame onna only when someone uses it to
