What is up you guys! I had to make sure it was recording before I said that.
I apologize for the wind. I've made this video like five times.
mot really.... more like four (chuckles).
I'm sorry for the woods in the background. That look
very very, werid?
In a sence
It's the woods behind my house, cause there's people
in my house. aaaaannnddd
I wanted to record outside.
Because it feels great and it's almost winter
which I'm super siked about
but it feels great right now and I'm also super siked about that.
So I'm outside and it's windy.
So I apologize if you can't hear me very well.
(snaps) Yeah okay
This-- I'm gonna be weird, because I'm being weird today
So I'm s-- I'm (stutters) apologise
and I'm sorry for my hair
um, I apologise before-hand. I don't-- I don't know what's happening with it
when the wind's blowing, that's okay. so that's the sad part about today.
(laughs) today I'm going to be telling you guys about something I know a lot about
you know? cause I'm an expert. (sarcasm)
not really, but I've had them for two years. Which is my BRACES!
I've had braces for..... I wanna say over two years, but like I could be wrong
but like it's over two years. (laughs)
and so I've learned a lot aanndd
I know a lot of stuff they don't really tell you about having braces.
and so I'M going to tell YOU about having braces!
things that you may not know. LET'S GO!
Ow. My leg popped.....
(laughs and apologses more for my weirdness)
................ (shrugs) it is, what it is! okay
lets go.
Number 1: something that they don't tell you, and I don't think they really need to,
it's just kinda something you figure out and it's a little bit of a shock and I don't know it may be upsetting
I don't know I wasn't upset by it.
but your mouth gets very---
so you know when--
I'm sorry, (talking to camera) don't shake don't fall
stand still!
OK
I'm talking to my camera
(back on topic) you know when you work outside a lot
and you do a lot of manual labor and you hands
get like really very calloused
and then the callouses go away but it's still very tough skin
cause it's used to working outside
or like manually and so it gets like very a tough outer layer?
that's what happens inside your mouth that's what happens to...
that' what happens to your... cheek inside? and like all right here
and like your gums even
which is a weird factor you don't expect but it happens
and that happened to me and I was very surprised and like what?
...just happend?
I don't know, it was kinda like a gradual thing so
I used to get a lot of sores cause I have a very sensitive mouth and I used to get like tons and tons and tons of sores
and cuts and I would bleed and trust me it's not pretty but it doesn't happen to everyone sooo
don't be scared but
it like... started no--- like it didn't happen anymore. it didn't happen as much anymore
and now I hardly get any sores, I hardly get any cuts, or anything like that in my mouth
I get sores like on my tongue and right here..... very rarely
You see that? see all that coloration(?) and the bumps and the discoloration or like the very pigmented red splotches?
yeah all of that is like scar tissue, I guess is what it would be called
(attempts to look over the fence) literally it's like 2 o'clock in the afternoon
there's a rooster doing that rooster thing that happens in the morning. Cock-a-doodle-doing?
and it's like 2 o'clock in the afternoon. so that's... cool
umm, but yeah, your mouth gets very...
yeah you get what I mean
and it's not something that they tell you, or that's really expected so... be warned
Another thing!
Number 2 is that you subconsciously mess with your teeth an you mouth, a lot more
I have bands that go from here to here I used to have them on this side now I have them on this side
and I'm supposed to be wearing them, shame on me I forgot. forgive me
but you mess with them a lot. at least I do and I see other people do it
whether it's with your tongue or if it's with your teeth or if its with your finer
like I will-- I will literally just go like this and like twist around my finger and it's bad
because it's like stretching it out and I shouldn't do it and like I shouldn't be touching my mouth anyway
but it's a habit and it becomes a habit and it's bad, or I'll mess with it with my tongue
or like-- It's ju-- It's just (smh)
or you'll like mess with your braces. I mess with my braces all the time
all the time. all of the time. and it's a subconscious thing I can't help it. forgive me.
Number 3: you may want to like go in there with a full face of makeup and like cute like
decked out clothes and be like "yeah I'm so cute, I'm getting braces like I'm gonna have a perfect smile, very soon and blah blah blah"
No. That will go away very soon. Umm I have gone in clothes that I've slept in,
not like slept in that night and got up and then went.
I haven't had to do that... yet. I probably will sometime, but I haven't done that. but I have done it
in clothes that like-- so I just sleep in whatever, so I'll sleep in like leggings and a bit T-Shirt
and like that's it, obviously why would you sleep in anything else?
add on like ten million pairs of clothes to sleep, sometimes I sleep with a sweater... ANYWAY!
Dangit! Nooo! Oh it's still recording oh my bad! Oh! Okay continue
I've literally gone to the dentist office in that like the whole wating to look really cute thing
goes away very very fast and you're just like screw it, because touch your face a lot with the gloves
umm obviously they touch around your mouth a lot because their working on your mouth! so they gotta touch your face
and your makeup wipes off. and your cute clothes? you know who sees that? unless you're going in there for like
hours upon hours, or there's like someone really really cute there. Like people over the age of thirty most of the time
they see you, umm other kids who probably got out of school, for this. Umm or just out of school just recently
umm who have better things to do and they're all on there phone, that's who's gonna see you so
unless you're going to do something else after the orthodontist or before, I wouldn' suggest wearing cute clothes and
and dressing up a bunch, I do occasionally because like, why wouldn't you want to dress up occasionally?
but I don't dress up specifically to go there because like... If I wore this, it's a god day. Seriously
I don't-- Like- It's pointless because not enough people are gonna see me to dress up
so that goes away really fast, don't expect that to stick around.
Number 5? I think? maybe 4? Anyway I'm gonna rush through this one
You get acquainted with your doctors and your nurses and that sounds weird but I'm on a first name basis with a lot of my nurses
like I call them nurse *blank* or doctor *blank* Cause there's two doctors there. umm but like I'm on like a first name basis with
a lot of these people because I've known them for so long and its not like a rude thing. Don't-- Don't call me rude!
or disrespectful! I didn't do that until quite recently, but one of them had my moms name and so I was like
We were like laughing about it and talking about it and I just started calling her Tam-- and I just started calling her, yeah my moms name
and I just started calling everyone else their names too so they call me by my first name, I call them--
and they used to call me like Miss Sweetin, which was really weird cause I'm like 15 and at that time I was like 13 so I was like don't do that?
Please jus-- please just call me Kayleigh and they did and I started calling them by their first names
and so you get really acquainted with your doctors like my doctor, who is-- err my dentist I should say not my doctor, why am I saying doctor?
that's weird. Dentist, my des-- my dentist, who's a really funny older dude, he can probably tell you how many times I've dyed my hair
and like what colors I've dyed my hair. Every single time that he seen me like what colors they were. Or at least how many times I've dyed it since
I've known him because he always comments about it and it's hilarious and we have this on-going joke about like, so I dyed my hair silver and blue one time
No, I was going to dye my hair silver and blue so we have this on-going joke that I'm a cowboys fan even tho idon't watch sports, I don't
like sports *no offence* so I don't really keep up with any sports team, but it was like months and months ago and we still have that on-going joke
Like you get acquainted with your dentists and nurses and stuff and it's actually really fun like after a while, unless you just have
really really crappy *no offence* dentists that are like mean, or just people who don't like to talk, it'll be fun. It'll be a lot of fun, I have fun
When I go, I've gotten popcorn and candy and I know people there. and I like don't know other patients there, even tho I've been for a little while
just because, who wants to talk when your about to get your teeth examined? It's a weird thing, but I have, you know, gotten acquainted with
my nurses and dentists so that's--
My camera turned off, apologies I'm sorry! Forgive me
So that's five (four) things they don't tell you about going to the dentist or orthodontists or like getting your braces
basically. Umm, yeah. If you wanna see like maybe a part two to this orr just an on-going series about "things people don't tell you about"
Things that like most people don't make like, clothes, orr I don't know! Living in front of the woods?
Because that's something that-- there's a lot of things people don't tell you about that.
Umm, give this video a thumbs up subscribe if you wanna see more cause I may be making more videos soon.
aaand comment down below, anything that you wanna say, jus-- If you've gotten this far just say like "Apples" or something in the comments
Yeah, do that "Apples", Apples are cool.
Alright, see you guys in the next video! KitKat is-- AHH
Goodbye.
