We'd just left the train station
When someone noticed our looking-lost faces
And decided to ask where we wanted to go.
We told him we wanted to see the bridge.
Next he spent a good 30 minutes telling us everything about Brooklyn.
He gave us so many tips!
Now we have the whole day pretty much planned.
Everything sounds perfect
Including dinner.
We've been staying in White Plains
Which is just 30 minutes north of Manhattan.
But public transport to Manhattan is actually pretty pricey
The train tickets
Off-peak ones
Are 9 dollars each.
So we spend about...
One way... one way, right?
Yeah, one way tickets
So we spend 40 bucks just to come into town.
And go back home.
Not to mention the subway
Food or anything else.
To make the most of our day
We get here at 10 AM
And only leave after 8 PM.
Fitting as much as we can in our day.
Otherwise it's too much money.
We very close to the Brooklyn Bridge now.
Which is a massive bridge.
It's actually the longest suspension bridge in the world.
It connects Brooklyn to Manhattan.

With views to Manhattan

We are actually above the car lanes

Instead of being on either side
We are walking right above
So our view to both sides is really amazing
Well worth the visit.
We've finished the crossing
It feels like we have joined a pilgrimage to Manhattan
With another 2 million believers.
There is so many people in NY!
It's like the whole world is here.
Why aren't you here?
The guy we met earlier told us to have lunch at Shake Shack.
He said it was like a McDonalds on steroids

Michaela's milkshake is more like a blended brownie
And I got this nice looking burger

We've decided to walk across the city.
Had we been to Chinatown before?
We'd been to Chinatown, but not exactly to this area.

It's not like the New York I had seen before
It's a bit like Vietnam

But without scooters, just cars
There is this guy looking angry at us

Where space is scarce.
They started piling up cars.
You give your keys to the parking guy
And he will drive it onto the elevator before lifting it up.
Guess how much it is per hour?

That's why we left Vanda far away from here
And won't drive it any closer to Manhattan.
NYC is not a place for Vanda
It's a place for you to walk as much as much as you can
Because even public transport is too pricey for us.
