Fukui City Earthquake June 28 1948

The earthquake struck the city at 5:17 am.

This is what the city looked liked before the earthquake struck. no... not even close.

The Tokyo tower should not be there, but not sweat the details

At this time (4 or 5:00 ish) people are just starting to get up and cook their breakfast.

At this time it was 5:17. The approximate time which the earthquake struck the city

As seen in this REALISTIC replication of the earthquake, building started to collapse and people are starting to evacuate

Assuming the earthquake was not all separate, the earthquake would have wiped out the part of the city in one run.

Here is a close up of firemen putting out the fire for the people who were cooking when the earthquake occured

Here is a close up on collapsing buildings.

Lets assume the Darwin department store was that tall black building. This is what happened during the earthquake.

Stuff I like | Riley J. Dennis - Duration: 10:30.

Hey humans, so if you couldn't tell from the title of this video, I'm just gonna talk about

stuff that I like because I wanna throw a little positivity into everything that's going on right now.

Cause I've been talking about some kinda serious "controversial" issues, and it's just draining,

and I just wanna talk about something that's fun and positive so I'm just gonna -- gonna -- blhhbgh

So I'm just gonna go over like some of the stuff that I've been enjoying like podcasts,

music, TV shows, all that kinda stuff.

Maybe you'll like some of this stuff too, maybe not.

I don't know.

You decide for yourself.

But I figure if you're watching this video then you at least kind of like my channel

because it doesn't have the most enticing title in the world.

So if you wanna make sure that you see all of the videos that I post, make sure to click

the little bell by the subscribe button.

It looks like this on desktop or this on mobile.

Um, it'll make sure that you get notified of all the videos that I upload so you don't

miss any, and I'm sure you've heard every single other YouTuber talk about that a hundred

times, but that's probably the only time I'm going to mention it -- just gonna slip that

in there while it's just you guys who like me -- unless you're watching this and you

hate me, in which case, I don't understand what you're doing with your life.

Find a better hobby, and maybe don't click the bell.

Did I just like reverse psychology that?

Are you now gonna click the bell because you hate me?

*Sigh* I don't know, whatever, let's just talk about the stuff.

So the thing I really wanna talk about is Supergirl because... it's so gay!

Supergirl, I don't know, I just -- I watched the first season and it was like okay, like

I was getting through it and it was entertaining but then the second season is when the gay

kicks in, and that's when you start to have a good time is when the gay kicks in.

I don't wanna talk about it too much so I don't spoil you for anything, like I'm not

gonna be talking about spoilers in any of this.

But there is a really prominent relationship between two girls and they like directly talk

about being gay, and I think it's really really good and really positive representation on TV.

And also the show just has a lot of ladies.

Like everywhere.

Like the two main characters -- Supergirl and her adoptive sister -- are both girls,

lots of the villains are girls, like it's just women everywhere, and I love it.

Right now it's on like a break in the middle of the its second season and they had a few

like crossovers with the Flash because it all takes place in the DC universe.

And so after I got caught up on Supergirl, I went back and started watching the Flash...

not, not so good.

I'm just not a big fan, I don't know.

I don't like most of the characters.

I'm mostly here for Patty Spivot and Linda Park, and they're two like side characters

that are only there for a few episodes.

Everyone else is just really annoying and it's just a lot of dudes and not a lot of women.

The show rarely passes the Bechdel test.

And the main character, Barry, the Flash... just not a bright kid, just not... uhhh just

really frustrating as a person.

I don't know the whole show was just very like straight and boring and predictable...

but it ties in with Supergirl so I feel obligated to watch it.

All of those universes also tie in with the Arrow, but I really don't think I can bring

myself to watch the Arrow.

It looks so much worse.

It just looks an angry Batman-type rich white guy defending his city and just like, I don't

know, I'm not having it, and it has way more seasons than all the other shows -- no thank you.

So that's what I'm watching by myself but most nights I end up watching a show with

my girlfriend who lives in London, so we have like an 8 hour time difference.

So in the evening I watch a show and it's like the morning for her, and we've been watching

Agents of SHIELD right now, and that's really good.

I've really been enjoying it, it's a lot more interesting, and the characters are like more fun.

But I'm mostly just watching it for Skye.

Skye is bae.

Me and Fiona just talk about Skye through every episode.

She's -- uhh, she's great.

And I've also started listening to like a shit ton of podcasts because I never used

to listen to podcasts, cause I didn't have the time to listen to like an hour of something,

but I've been driving a lot like going to do groceries or driving to somewhere else

in LA, and it's just like a lot of time spent in the car because traffic is awful.

So I've been listening to podcasts.

A few of them that I've really been enjoying are Revisionist History by Malcolm Gladwell

and Invisibilia by NPR.

Both of these shows kinda have a similar format where they talk about things that you wouldn't

normally think about -- like Invisibilia talks about the "unseen forces" in our world, like

the way that we think and interact with people that isn't really tangible.

Um, and Revisionist History talks a lot about like specific moments in history that were

kinda glossed over or we didn't really think about in the right way but have really interesting

ramifications for the modern day.

So I highly recommend watching both of those.

They've made me think about some wild things that just blew my mind and like changed the

way I thought about the world, so, highly recommend.

There's also some more chill podcasts I've been listening to like Coffee with Chrachel,

Dear Hank and John, and Bad with Money.

Coffee with Chrachel is just Rachel Whitehurst and Chris Hubbard, they're a couple and they

just kinda talk for an hour about like current events and stuff going on in their lives.

And like that doesn't sound that exciting, in fact, that sounds really boring, but I

listen to like almost every single episode at this point because it's just something

to enjoy, like something that's background noise and like you get to hear -- they have

really good banter between them, and they talk about interesting things.

So I don't know it's like very relaxing and very calming, and I like the stuff that they

talk about like sometimes it's funnier stuff and lighter stuff, and they also comment on

like social issues and political things.

They're both really intelligent people -- I was actually on one of the episodes of the

podcast, this isn't like a plug for it, I was just in Seattle visiting family and was

like on their podcast while I was there.

So you should go listen to that specifically -- but then listen to the other episodes cause

it's just a really good podcast in general.

I've also been listening to Dear Hank and John which you've probably heard of because

it's by John Green and Hank Green, the vlogbrothers, the people who do all of the YouTube things.

Um, but they're just really funny.

They have an interesting dynamic.

And they talk about funny things and it makes me laugh, and it's just -- it's a very feel-good podcast.

And the last one is Bad with Money by Gaby Dunn.

It's a really fascinating look at the way money affects our lives and it's, like, stories

about how other people have been affected by money, kind of combined with how Gaby Dunn

was raised to not be very good with money.

And like if you've ever questions about financial things -- and, you have, because we all have

-- you really need to check it out.

Books -- I don't read as much as I used to.

I feel like I used to read all the time, and I probably read like one book in 2016.

But the last one I read was probably a few months ago; it was The Midnight Star by Marie

Lu, and it's the third in a trilogy -- the Young Elites trilogy -- and so good!

The series basically takes place on like an alternate world where there was like a plague

that killed a bunch of people and then the people who it got sick but didn't kill, they

still have like some sort of marking on them, and they're kind of ostracized by society.

But then they also get powers with those markings.

And so it's about like a group of the kids who have these markings and are ostracized

by society but have these incredible powers, um, and it's really fascinating all the different

powers they have and how they go against the mainstream -- because it's not your usual

like "going against the oppressive government" kind of thing, like the main character is

not a great person.

Does some really bad things.

It's like -- I guess it's called like an anti-hero kinda thing.

Um, but it just -- ah it makes you wonder about morals and all of that.

And Marie Lu, the author, is just a really great person -- you should probably follow her on Twitter.

She's wonderful.

And I enjoy all of the stuff she's written; she also did the Legend trilogy which is like

one of my favorite trilogies ever.

Like it's so good.

I'm also terrible with music.

Never ask me for music recommendations.

I ask other people for music recommendations like almost every day.

Basically all I've been listening to recently is like Hayley Kiyoko and related artists

that I find through Google Play Music.

I love Hayley Kiyoko so much.

I've watched the Gravel to Tempo music video like two thousand times -- if you haven't

seen it, all of this will be linked down below so you need to go watch it.

In the behind the scenes of the music video, she's like, "I gave that girl my headphones,

cause she's pretty," and I just like -- ohhh I died.

It's so queer and wonderful.

I also started kickboxing, which is wild because I haven't exercised in like years, and now

every time I do it, I'm like reminded of soccer from like High School because that's the last

time I did like really vigorous exercise.

And it's just like, oh, so many throwbacks in my mind.

And it's really just kickin' my ass.

Like there's been a couple times where I've just like nearly passed out, like I got really

like blurry vision around the corners, and like, uh it was not great.

But the rest of the times, it's been really fun.

Like I get to take out some aggression, which I certainly have at this point, and it's a

really good workout, and I need to be exercising, I know it's good for me.

So yeah!

That's been fun.

I've also been really enjoying my friends, which is not really a thing I can recommend

to you, it's just something that I'm grateful for and wanna talk about because I don't know

sometimes I have these moments where I like realize how fortunate I am to have some of

the people in my life who are in my life, and I'm just very grateful for them.

Like I don't know, does that ever happen to you?

Like I just am -- just like sitting there and I'm just like, "Wow, I'm so fortunate

these people care about me."

Like I can't believe it.

I don't know how I've gotten here at this point in my life.

I'm very lucky.

I also have like the cutest girlfriend in the world.

Like she makes me, genuinely, so so happy, and it's annoying that she's long distance

but -- ahh, even long distance, like, I love her so much, and she's such a like strong

and intelligent person and she's just like doing really well in life and I'm just super

proud of her and I don't know -- I can't express all of the feelings that I have for my girlfriend.

She's also very very pretty.

Like, very pretty.

Like gorgeous.

Yep, so that's the cheesy stuff going on in my life -- I love my girlfriend.

And that's everything I wanted to talk about.

Sometimes things can just be really shitty and you gotta step back and look and all the

stuff that's been making you happy recently and all of the people that you're really grateful for.

I hope that you found some useful recommendations in this video.

Um, I would like remind you I didn't make any promises about useful recommendations.

I know I'm not very great at finding media and stuff okay.

And yeah, I'm also working on some really cool stuff for my channel, so keep an eye

out for that -- there will be some cool announcements coming like probably this month, maybe like

early next month.

And I know this video was a little bit different than the other stuff I've done.

It probably won't be as popular as the other stuff I've done, but let me know if you enjoyed

it because I like doing this every once in a while.

And because this video isn't that controversial, the comments section will probably not be

that bad right away, so we can go talk in the comments and I can reply to your comments

and stuff and it won't just be overwhelmed with 5,000 transphobes.

Because normally what happens is I check the comments for like a few hours, maybe a day,

after the video is uploaded, and there's a lot of shit right in the beginning, but it's

not as bad as what happens a few days later.

So I can reply to comments early on, so if you ever want me to reply to your comment

and see it, just make sure you're there within the first hour or so, but for now at least,

on this video, I'll probably be able to stick around a little while longer.

You can also find me on all the social medias.

You can like tweet me if you want.

If you tweet me pictures of your dog or cat, I'll be super happy.

So yeah, I love you all thank you so much for watching this video, and I'll see you next time.

Crazy German Halloween 2016 - Duration: 4:11.

It all began in 2014 with a strange material that was easy to work with.

It had to be acquired from the nearby Munich and was called: styrofoam.

Also from Munich came the two merry craftsmen from Anjo Painters to apply a spell to the facade.

It was used as a protection from evil ghosts and demons from hell.

In the far away Landsham, there was a merchant who exposed wonderous goods for sale.

The preparations for Halloween's Eve were in full swing.

Night gathers over Ismaning.

"The living never think, that their lives will come to an end ..."

"... but all it takes, is one touch from me!"

FujiFilm Instax Review by Ave - Duration: 4:07.

My name is Averiella Barger and I have a Fuji Instax Mini 8 camera.

What I like about this camera is unique about it, is that whenever you take the picture

it pops right out and you have it instantly.

And I think it's cool because it shows us what other, our grandparents had back in the

decades, so.

Well, this camera comes with itself and you can buy other accessories with it but the

first accessory I would prefer you buy would be a case.

And this is the Fuji Instax Mini 8 case and it goes, it slips right in.

And it's leather and has like, so.

This camera also you could buy for it is lenses.

I would recommend the colorful ones cause you cannot just take a regular picture.

You can take it in color.

And so you can get red, blue, yellow, and green.

And unlike most cameras, it's hard to take a selfie.

So the Instax people made a selfie one.

And this lens has a mirror and it comes in a bunny rabbit and it comes in all different

colors.

And so, you pop this on and then it clicks in.

I have it on backwards but regularly it would go on this side.

And you can take a picture and you look into the mirror.

And the lens has it right here and then you have your selfie.

Some photos I have taken is with one of the colorful lenses and one of those lenses was

green.

And I took the picture of my front yard.

And it comes out really clear and only takes like a couple of seconds to develop and then

I also have some selfies I took with the bunny rabbit.

This one's in dark and so is this one.

I have my room lights on.

So these are two selfies of me.

I think it's really cute, it's really popular, and I really like how it prints it out and

it has really good perceptions.

And the pictures are clear.

And it's just really neat.

And I like being able, like, to push that button.

And it has really great flashes.

It has outdoor flashes, sunny flashes, and in the house flashes.

It also has hi-def.

I wanted the camera because first off, I've seen a lot of girls at my school have these

cameras and I thought, "hey that's really cool.

It prints the picture."

and they are like really popular, really cute, and if you guys didn't notice they come in

different colors.

And I thought that most cameras come in silver or black.

They don't have a lot of options.

I chose white because I just like white but they come in pink, blue, yellow.

And they come in like green, orange, so they really neat and I thought they have pretty

good lens protection and their flash is neat and it's easy and it's portable and you don't

have to change the lenses like on a regular camera.

It doesn't really come off.

You just pop one on and go.

I also really like the camera.

I can capture memories of my friends and family and anybody you want.

And not only can I give it to them automatically, I can keep one myself.

Thank you for watching this video and hope you enjoy it and soon have a Polaroid of your

own.

Please subscribe.

Thank you.

The internet will shut down for 24 hours in 2017 causing financial markets to crash - Duration: 4:14.

The internet will shut down for 24 hours in 2017 causing financial markets to crash.

Millions of computer users across the world could be blocked from the internet this year

as the global network will shut down for 24 hours, US technology security vendor LogRhythm

predicted in December.

The companys chief information security officer and vice president James Carder told

Business Insider, it wont just be a technical issue stopping people from uploading their

selfies on Instagram.

"In 2017, were going to see it hit big sometime, somewhere.

If the internet goes down, financial markets will tank," he said.

According to Carder, there were all the signs in 2016, with criminals "testing missiles

by shooting them into the ocean."

"We saw the massive DDoS [distributed denial of service] attack against DynDNS just a couple

of months ago.

That DDoS attack took down sites like Twitter and Spotify for a few hours.

We saw a similar DDoS hit Brian Krebs before the attack against Dyn.

These were really just tests," he said.

In October a mass cyber-attack crippled some of the worlds biggest websites with users

unable to access Twitter, SoundCloud, Spotify and many others for over two hours.

"If you can prove that you can take down massive sites and a large chunk of the US internet

for a few hours, a 24-hour outage seems pretty easy to do?" said Carder.

The head of LogRhythm also said the issue of "fake news" will only get worse this year,

with hackers targeting major media sites.

"The power of influence is starting to shift away from mainstream news outlets, and I dont

think that is something those mainstream outlets can afford to let happen.

They will respond to the fake news threat by trying to implement some level of media

control that will likely take it a little too far," he said.

"I think hackers, in the name of protecting our freedom of speech, will retaliate by knocking

down a major media outlet or two."

LogRhythms Australia and New Zealand director of sales Simon Howe has predicted that ransomware

on mobile devices will become far more prevalent in 2017

According to him, attackers will target unsuspecting smartphone users and hold their personal data

hostage to extort money.

For example, attackers will threaten to send out or delete a users photos unless

a ransom is paid.

Just think how much you would pay to recover your photos?" said Howe.

He added that attackers will use pre-authenticated tokens to disseminate malware.

Because so many Apple devices are interconnected, the malware could very quickly spread," he

said.

I close my eyes but I am still standing here

Lost in somewhere between the desert and the sea

As always I keep moving on

But I don't know where to go now

There is more of this, I didn't know

There are paths where I haven't gone and paths where I can't go

I've never felt this way before

Am I growing up now?

What's taking me so long? to find the right road

I'm screaming in confusion

Never leave me alone

Even thought there is no hope left

I still believe

You can find the right path

Once you have lost your way

Lost my way Running, pushing through the rainstorm all day long without rest

Lost my way In a big, complicated world without escape

Lost my way

Lost my way I've wander every corner, but I still believe in myself

Lost my way

Found my way

Lost my way

Found my way

I remember when I saw ants walking from their home

They didn't even know how to find the road

Constantly crawling and moving forward

To find something to eat, searching until the corners

You know, the reason for this frustation

I believe that we are on the right road

If we ever find what we've been looking for

Like those ants we'll happily return home

What's taking me so long? to find the right road

Stonehenge Wiltshire England - Famous Landmarks. - Duration: 3:04.

Famous Landmarks.

Stonehenge Wiltshire England - Famous Landmarks.

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire,

England, 2 miles (3 km) west of Amesbury and 8 miles (13 km) north of Salisbury.

Stonehenge's ring of standing stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds.

Archaeologists believe it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. The surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument,

have been dated to about 3100 BC. Radiocarbon dating suggests that the first bluestones were raised between 2400 and 2200 BC, although they may have been at the site as early as 3000 BC

One of the most famous landmarks in the UK, Stonehenge is regarded as a British cultural icon.

It has been a legally protected Scheduled Ancient Monument since 1882 when legislation to protect historic monuments was first successfully introduced in Britain.

The site and its surroundings were added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1986.

Stonehenge is owned by the Crown and managed by English Heritage; the surrounding land is owned by the National Trust.

Stonehenge could have been a burial ground from its earliest beginnings. Deposits containing human bone date from as early as 3000 BC,

when the ditch and bank were first dug, and continued for at least another five hundred years.

21 Wall decor ideas and Creative Displays - Duration: 12:26.

21 Out of the Box Ways To Display All Your Stuff

Want some out-of-the-box (we mean that literally) ways to display your favorite collectibles?

Here are a few fun and practical tips on how to show off your collection!

We've all been into too many homes where a displayed collection is a real eye sore.

These tips will allow you to display your possessions with elegance, and integrate the

collection into the décor of your home.

1.

Map collection wallpaper – Don't worry about buying expensive and heavy frames for

your antique map collection.

You can use it as wallpaper for a cool look that saves your wallet.

Next.

Instead of framing your map collection, turn them all into wallpaper!

You can insert some pins in the places you've visited for a little more interesting take

on this creative wallpaper.

2.

Hang it on the wall – If you have a large collection of...pretty much anything, one

cool idea is to use a fancy case or put it behind glass.

Whether you collect vintage silverware, drum sticks, or something else that is hang-able,

this is a cool way to display your favorite things!

In this cool example, it's keys.

There's no better way to show off a huge collection than arranging them on a wall as

an art display.

3.

Beach sand display – Most people have some cool keepsakes to remember good times, one

of which probably includes a small vial of sand from a particular beach trip or island

getaway.

It's cheap and an interesting thing to look back on.

But now you can display it in a cool, inventive way by using more than just the vial you originally

put it in.

With some matching glass bottles, you can bottle sand from every trip you take and mount

them all on a shelf for viewing.

4.

Rock collection display - After you've found the coolest rocks around, display them on

a painted pegboard with some wire for a cool and artsy piece of décor.

Hang it on the wall or set it on your desk or any piece of furniture.

Displayed this way, your rocks are available to touch and see closely, but will be safely

secured to the pegboard.

5.

Toy collection by color - Embrace your inner child and display your huge toy collection

in a modern way.

With large shelves, your toy collection is sure to wow when it fills a full wall.

Big or small toys are kosher for this collector's display.

A cool way to set it apart from any other toy collection is to organize the toys by

color.

This pulls the eye to notice that this arrangement is unique.

6.

Themed art collection wall – Whether you have a large assortment of portrait paintings,

or some other kind of art, display them all on one wall to make things interesting.

By grouping your art collection like this, you can make new connections between pieces

you never knew existed.

Plus it just looks great!

Check out link inside description to find tutorial on how to create a cool and unique

gallery wall.

7.

Children's toy shadow box – Not ready to get rid of your child's favorite toys?

Don't worry—if you display them in a cool shadow box, you're not a hoarder—you're

an artist!

Put them into the box and arrange them any way you want.

You can even frame a door as in this picture.

Get creative and make an interesting wall out of old plates.

Get whimsical with this one!

And here are a few tips on how to do it correctly.

Store your cool antique globe collection up high to draw the eye upwards in any room.

This looks great in a more sophisticated room, like an office or sitting room.

16.

Vintage collection in frames – Whether it's antique cameras like in this example, or some

cameras.

For this one, you'll need a few mounting tools and objects that will look great on

your wall.

It brings any room to life as you show off fun photos from a past vacation or silly pictures

of the family!

Pull your scarves out of that messy closet or drawer and use the beautiful fabrics to

bring color into your home.

Here's a cool tutorial on how to turn that old rickety ladder into a unique display for

scarves.

and last,

21.

Vacation sand art – If you're one who loves keeping sand samples from memorable

beach vacations, here's a cool way to show it off instead of using individual bottles.

Book making with hot glue, Making books by hand, Book Binding, my happy project - Duration: 6:05.

Hi everyone!

This is Smitha from the blog Smiling Colors with my first video share for 2017.

Today's tutorial is a little different- you are going to watch me try make something

I have never done before.

Book making with hot glue.

No needles, no twine and no sewing.

Will it work?

We'll just have to wait and see!

I am using a really basic hot glue gun here- it's truly inexpensive and easily available

at any craft store.

For the inside pages of my book, I have chosen cardstock in a rainbow of colors.

I have 12 sheets of 8.5 by 11 inch cardstock here all of the Recollections brand by Michaels

art and craft store.

They very often have these these on sale for like $2.

For the cover of the book I have two options- I will either use this gold cardstock or this

leather looking one.

Let's see.

Besides this I have gathered a few more supplies and I will leave a list of everything I use

in my blog post at www.smilingcolors.com

I am going to start by trimming each sheet of cardstock in half, that is I am cutting

at the 5.5 inch mark.

Now let me talk a little bit about the purpose of this book I am making- This is going to

my happy book- a place for me to write down a sentence each night before I go to bed - something

that made me happy that day.

So I have deliberately chosen 12 colors of cardstock- one color for each month.

I starting off with grey for January- because it is really grey and cold here in Minnesota.

Now after I cut each cardstock, I am using a bone folder to fold it in half.

This way my book will measure approximately 4.25 by 5.5 inches in size.

Here is how the inside pages of the book look now.

All these rainbow colors make me happy!

I really hope this hot glue method works, because I love the pages so much now.

I am using a few clips to hold my pages together, making sure all the edges line up neatly.

- I have my hot glue nice and hot and now its the mo ment of truth.

Time to apply that hot glue.

Basically my idea is to have the hot glue all along the spine and have it hold all of

the pages together.

So I am moving really slowly here along with the hot glue gun and going up and down along

the spine trying not to squirt any big globs of glue.

I want the spine to look neat and so I am trying my best to keep the hot glue application

as even as I can.

While the glue takes a minute to dry, I am going to prep my book cover.

I went with the gold cardstock and it has a cool kraft on the other side.

I trimmed it to be a tiny tiny bit larger than the 5.5 inches and am keeping its entire

length for now.

Now lets go see if that hot glue worked!

Did it??

Let's remove those clips and … Oh my god this is so neat!!

It's a real book you all!

And it looks pretty great!

I can already see that the first and last pages need a little extra love, but that spine

is looking good.

Now let's work on the cover.

I am placing my book inside, lining up all the edges carefully and making a small mark

where I want to trim and then I am going to go ahead and cut right at that mark using

my trimmer.

And now let's make sure everything fits nicely.

Looking good.

So now I want to crease my spine.

To do that I am clipping the cover to the book on one side and then using the bone folder

to score along the spine.

This forms a nice mark on the cover showing the books spine area.

So now I am applying hot glue just in that spine area in a zig zag manner first and then

adding straight lines along the edges.

I am carefully placing the book onto the glue and pressing it in firmly. and then rubbing

the spine along my work surface pressing the book into it.

This is looking good but I want to make sure that the first few pages sit in there well.

So as a final step, I am running a bead of hot glue just where the inside pages meet

the cover and then pressing the top page into it.

I am repeating that with last page again.

A single line of hot glue right where the inside pages meet the cover and then press

down firmly.

And that's it!

The book is done!

It looks really neat, and if you look closely here you can see the hot glue gap inside.

Otherwise the book looks really neat all around and I am slightly impressed with this technique.

If you want you can use a sander, this is just sandpaper on a block to even out any

uneven pages.

But really this hot glue book binding is super quick and pretty simple.

And I didn't even burn my fingers with the glue today!

Now a I mentioned before, this is going to be my book in which I write down a happy thought

every night.

So I wanted to add a few little stickers onto the cover.

These stickers are some of my favorites that I have hoarded for years and loved and I think

its finally time to use them!

I am adding just a tiny sticker that says- my happy project.

And that is how this book makes me feel right now.

Happy.

It's a nice book that will make me focus on the things in my everyday life that make

me happy.

Now the big question with this book is- will the hot glue spine last long?

Will it hold up to daily wear and tear?

I really don't know what to expect but right now this projects seems to be the perfect

book for a beginner to make and learn.

Its quick and very satisfying.

If the spine does break and a page falls off after a few months of use I wouldn't be surprised.

But that is an easy fix and I could probably just add another bead of hot glue and put

it back together.

So I hope you enjoyed todays tutorial friends!

Top 10 Creepy Deep Sea Creatures - Duration: 7:33.

Brainy Dose Presents Top 10 Creepy Deep Sea Creatures

About seventy percent

of our planet is covered by water. There

are all kinds of strange and creepy

species that inhabit our oceans. Many

strange things live there, including

these creepy sea creatures on our list.

Number One - Anglerfish

The Anglerfish is named after its characteristic mode of

hunting prey. The long filaments

sprouting from the center of the fish's

head is called Escott or Elysium, and

some of the deep sea anglers can even

emit light from it. It is movable in all

directions and it can be wiggled to

resemble a prey animal to other

predators. The Anglerfish's jaws are

triggered automatically by contacts in

its tentacles. Once predators come close

enough, the Anglerfish can devour them

whole. This creepy fish is also able to

stretch its jaws and stomach big enough to

swallow prey up to twice the size of its entire body.

Number Two - Blobfish

Found off the coast of mainland Australia,

Tasmania and New Zealand, the Blobfish

lives at depths between 2,000 and 3,900

feet, where the pressure is 60 to 100

times higher than at sea level.

Some say that this is the ugliest

creature in the sea, yet aside from

possessing a face that only a mother

could love, the Blobfish's distinctive

appearance is the key to its survival.

This fish has no muscles, instead it's

made up of a gelatinous substance,

slightly less dense than water.

This allows the Blobfish to hover over

the sea floor without expending energy.

Number Three - Giant Isopod

This creepy sea creature looks like a giant

underwater bug, but it belongs to the

crustacean family. It has seven pairs of

legs, four sets of jaws, and large fixed

eyes.

The antennas located on the front of

its head are used to sense the

environment, while the thick segmented

shell acts as a protective shield. The

Giant Isopod curls into a ball when

threatened. The Giant Isopods is also

known for always being in a state of

semi hibernation.

This allows it to limit its energy

expenditure and this contributes to the

Isopods gigantic size and long life span.

It can live up to 25 years.

Number Four - Goblin Shark

The long snout, pink color

and retractable jaws distinguish the

Goblin Shark from any other shark

species. It lives at depths of 1,000 to

4,300 feet in the ocean. The Goblin

Shark has 26 teeth on its top jaw and 24

on the bottom. The long flattened snout

above the jaw is covered with

electroreceptors used for hunting.

Because of its flabby body shape, the

Goblin Shark is not a fast swimmer. It

lazily feeds on bottom-dwelling fish.

When prey comes its way, the Goblin Shark

shoots its jaw forward and snatches up its victim.

Number Five - Pelican Eel

The Pelican Eel is found at depths between

1600 to 9600 feet in tropical and

temperate seas.

It's a ray-finned fish and only resembles

an eel in appearance.

It's black but some subspecies may have

a thin lateral white stripe.

The Pelican Eel has a long thin body and a large

head with huge jaws that have many rows

of tiny teeth. It gets its name from the

incredible extent to which its jaws can

open. But due to its strange body shape,

the Pelican Eel is a bad swimmer and it

cannot hunt for fish like other

predators do. It relies on its 'tail light'

to attract prey, which has a

bioluminescent organ at the end of it.

Once its prey has been lured, the Pelican

Eel opens its mouth wide and uses it

as a net to make the catch.

Number Six - Red-Lipped Batfish

Red lips can be attractive, but not when it comes

to the Red-lipped Batfish. This creepy

sea creature lives in tropical climates

about 10 to 250 feet deep in the ocean

and those red pouty lips on its dark

face paired with those bulging eyes make

the Batfish anything but attractive.

However, scientists believe that the red

lips help the males show off for the

females during mating season, and just

like the Anglerfish, the Batfish also

lures in its prey by using the

appendage on its nose that acts just

like a fishing rod.

It also has unique pectoral and pelvic

fins that it uses to walk across the ocean floor.

No... this creepy fish doesn't swim, it walks!

Number Seven - Basking Shark

The basking shark is known to be the second

largest species of sharks and it's found

all over the world. This creepy giant is

very recognizable by its tremendously

large mouth. In fact, the mouth of the

Basking Shark can be well over three feet

wide and it has several rows of tiny teeth.

In order to eat, The Basking Shark keeps

its mouth open while it swims and sifts

the plankton from the water.

Number Eight - Snakehead Fish

Native to China, Russia,

and Korea, the Snakehead Fish managed to

find its way to the United States. This

bizarre fish has the ability to survive

in and out of water for long periods of

time. Upon inhabiting a pond or a lake,

the Snakehead Fish will eat pretty much

anything, from plankton, insects carp to

mollusks. Once these food sources get

depleted, it simply jumps out and travels

to other nearby bodies of water.

Shamelessly eating up whatever comes its

way. Including frogs, mice, rats, and even small birds.

Number Nine - Vampire Squid

While the Vampire Squid possesses a fearsome

appearance, this vampire does not suck blood.

The name comes from it's intensely

creepy red eyes and cloak-like webbing

between its arms.

It also has two extra filaments that can

retract and fins on its mantels that

stick out like ears. And unlike other

squid, the Vampire Squid uses Fin

Propulsion over Jet Propulsion.

It doesn't having ink sacs, and doesn't change color.

When threatened, it shoots out

light orbs instead of black ink, dazing potential predators.

Number Ten - Viperfish

This creepy sea-dweller is one of

the fiercest ocean predators. It inhabits

the sea at depths of 1,500 to 9,000 feet.

The large eyes and even larger mouth,

take up most of the Viperfish's head. It

has sharp glass like teeth, some of which

are so long they have to curve backward

in order for the Viper Fish to close its

mouth. The long dorsal spine of this

fearsome looking creature is tipped with

a light producing organ, which is used

to lure prey. While remaining motionless,

the Viperfish turns those lights on and

off and then snags its prey with one

powerful bite. The Viperfish also has a

hinged skull which it can rotate up to

swallow bigger prey, while its stomach

can expand up to twice it's normal size

allowing it to eat a lot more food when available.
