So depending where you are in your career

or, in your high school days,

you'll be at different stages of this, but it's important

to start thinking about it now.

'Cause that way you start setting yourself apart

and getting opportunities

in a really competitive landscape,

When you guys do graduate and get jobs soon

and you're trying to make the team,

do you know how close it is to trying

to make Friday night team or a championship team

or get a position?

The smallest things sometimes make the difference

between you getting up to one team or down to another team.

You know, it's small things between getting selected

into the starting five or coming off the bench.

That's just an example of what I'm saying, though.

Small things like your online reputation

and taking care of that stuff can be the difference

between the opportunities that you get.

Because what people see online about you

they're making up assumptions about you,

they're judging your character and your value

based on what they find.

I see people get passed over all the time for opportunities

whether it's athletes I'm working with

that want to go and play college they're gettin' crossed

off the list because, yes they were great on the court,

yes they've got a great 'mix tape',

Yes, you know, the coaches said the right thing,

they've trained well and worked out and eaten well

but their online reputation let them down.

That's why I'm focusing on it now

because you guys can start thinking about it

and be on top of your game as you go forward.

Unboxing BzzAgent & ChickAdvisor Packages March 2017 | TakiyahLouise - Duration: 6:53.

Hi, I'm Takiyah Louise.

Thanks for clicking through to view my video on me unboxing items that I received completely

for free.

I'm going to tell you how I did it & how you can do it too!

Basically, what I did is signed up for product review communities by using my email, creating

profiles on the websites & then answering surveys as they were sent to me.

When projects came up, the companies would send me additional surveys & then they would

decide whether or not I was a good candidate.

If I was they would then send me the product.

So 2 different companies sent me products recently.

The first is called bzzagent & they are at bzzagent.com.

And, you can join them if you are in the United States, Canada, Brazil, France or Germany.

And, basically in my kit the first thing that I receive when I open it is a little post

card that says "Woo-hoo, it's here!" & then it just outlines what I need to do

to get started on my campaign for my product reviews.

Now, they were generous &they sent me 3 different products to try out & they are all from L'Oreal

& they're their Pure Clay Masks.

And, this first one here, is the Purifying & Mattifying Mask.

It has 3 pure clays plus Eucalyptus.

Then they sent me the Detox & Brighten Mask.

It has 3 pure clays plus Charcoal.

I like charcoal products so I'm excited for that one.

And then this one is the Exfoliate & Refine Pores one.

It has 3 pure clays plus Red Algae.

Now, I'm interested to get into this one here - the Purifying & Mattifying one with

the 3 pure clays & Eucalyptus because for the life of me I can't put my finger on

what Eucalyptus smells like.

The only thing that comes to my mind is like a menthol sensation type of scent but I know

that's not right.

Or, at least I don't think it is.

So, let me just go ahead & open this up.

So, this is what the jar looks like.

It's a nice size - full-sized jar.

And, it has a little lid on it so…

No, it doesn't smell minty at all - it just smells, really nice & fresh.

So I'm excited to get into that one.

And, I will be doing a video these.

I'm going to be using all of them at the same time kinda doing a multi-masking thing

so I can see how they work on different areas & concerns for my face.

So, that's going to be coming up.

Be on the look-out for that.

And then, the next company that I received products from was a company called ChickAdvisor

& they are at chickadvisor.com.

I received full-sized packages of Voortman Bakery cookies.

And, the first thing that comes out of the box is this little post card that says, "Congrats,

you've been selected for this Product Review Club opportunity!

XO, ChickAdvisor" & then on the back it just shows different cookies that I received

& ways that they want me to share on social.

So, the first thing out of box was the Voortman Bakery Strawberry Banana Wafers & these are

baked with real fruit, no artificial color or flavors, no high-fructose corn syrup.

So those'll be interesting to taste.

These Vanilla Wafers baked with real vanilla & I think I will like these with my morning

matcha tea.

And then, these Coconut cookies baked with real shredded coconut.

That's going to be interesting.

I like coconut flavor, I drink coconut milk all the time so that'll be nice.

And then lastly, are these Oatmeal Chocolate Chip - baked with real whole grain oats.

And, these have already been opened.

I tried filming this video a little bit earlier & it didn't go as planned but… just wanted

to get into these cookies & taste them.

This is the size of the cookie - a nice full size cookie, got lots of chocolate chips in

the back.

And…it's a really crispy cookie.

Tastes really good, you can really taste the chocolate chips - they're nice big ones.

And, I was excited for the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip ones because years ago, when my nephew

was just a baby - he's a teenager now - he used to stay with me a lot & we used to make

oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

So, I was hoping that these would bring back you know, some nostalgic, feel good feelings

about those times & sensations coming back from having oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

when he was just my little buddy but he's a teenager now, he's all grown up.

But, yeah, that's it for now.

Just wanted to share the products that I received for free.

Again, you can go to either of these websites - ChickAdvisor, I wanted mention is at chickadvisor.com

& they are primarily a Canadian review club but I live in the US & I was able to get an

opportunity.

I signed up with them about a year ago.

I completed my profile & then I realized they were a Canadian club so I didn't really

do much else.

But, then I received an email from them with this opportunity so it never hurts to join

a club & see what they have to offer.

And then, bzzagent, again that's bzzagent.com.

And, you just go there, it's completely - both of these clubs are - or both of these

websites are completely free to join.

And, it's just based on your profile & survey questions that you answer & you get selected

for projects.

And, with bzzagent, I was already selected for a second campaign & I just signed up with

them at the end of January.

I declined that campaign because I wasn't interested in the product but, I mean, just

do your surveys & whatever they send you - you can be matched up with some pretty cool product.

So yeah, that's it for now.

TOP FEMALE CHARACTERS | kavyathebibliophile - Duration: 7:37.

Long story short I wasn't actually

supposed to film today, but here I am.

Hello you gorgeous individuals, it's Kav

here and as I said in the intro - I wasn't

actually supposed to film today, so I

apologize for any issues in the video,

particularly bad lighting because it's

later in the day than I usually film.

Anyway, the video I'm bringing to you

today is different than anything I've

done before. As some of you may know,

March is actually women's history month and

Marth 8th is international women's day, so

I decided to share with you all my

favorite female protagonists because as many

of you hopefully know by now - I'm a huge

feminist and I love empowering women, so I

thought that this would be a fun video for me

to tell you guys a little bit more about

my bookish interests while also

participating in my own way in women's history

month. I have 4 characters to share

with you all today and I love all 4

of them obviously. In fourth place is

Hermione Granger from Harry Potter and

I actually had a lot of difficulty

picking my character from Harry Potter

because I wanted to choose McGonagall and

then also Molly Weasley and then also

Luna Lovegood -

there are quite some powerful women in

that, despite the issues I have with the

series, that definitely is something I

command about the series, but I decided

to choose Hermione because I think that

her power comes from a different type of

place that people normally assume which

is from her knowledge and kind of from

books which is perfect for a booktube

channel.

I think that Hermione's character was

extremely powerful and as I said her

knowledge came from books, so she was

extremely intelligent and to this day

I'm still not sure why she wasn't in

Ravenclaw - her character is just one that I

know a lot of people growing up have

looked to and I can definitely understand

why and

I am glad that she is such a strong

female character for younger children to

have in their lives when they grow up

reading because I think that her

character really shows what female

empowerment is all about and she does

really shows strength in how she

perseveres through a lot of what she goes

through. I really think that she's a good

role model for a lot of people

to look up to because her character

is just so strong and most importantly, I

chose her because her knowledge comes from

books and I think that's something that

people don't see often and should see

more often. In third place is Charlotte

Branwell from The Infernal Devices

and, again, I had a lot of difficulty

choosing which character from the

Infernal Devices I wanted to share with

you all - I considered talking about Tessa

and some other strong female characters,

which is another thing I commend this

series for for having strong female

characters. But I chose Charlotte because

of how she really broke gender roles. The

Infernal Devices is set in the

Victorian era, meaning that women were

expected to be obedient and submissive,

which Charlotte was not. She practically

led her institute and she was so

strong and she fought and I think that

that's something that totally broke

what the expectations were for her in

that time period. I just really loved

seeing a woman in power in a series set

in that time period because the

Victorian era's ideal woman is

extremely submissive and their main job,

i guess, was to just have babies and Charlotte

really broke through that mold and,

like I said, led an institute almost

single-handedly. The second character on

my list is Isabelle Lightwood from The

Mortal Instruments and I love Isabelle's

character for a variety of reasons and

it's easy to tell that she's a strong

female character right off the bat, but the

reason I chose her is because she is so in

tune with her femininity and

that doesn't decrease how strong of a

character she is because a lot of times

when finding a strong female protagonist,

there's a lack of femininity in them and

of course it's okay to be a woman who is

not necessarily feminine, but I also

think that that's something that needs

to be shown and Isabelle's character really

exemplifies that because she loves

dressing up, she loves fashion, she loves

being, I guess, a girly girl and none of

that decreases the strength of her

character and how strong she is.

Whenever I think of a strong female

character, she is probably the first

that comes to mind because she is

strength, she pretty much is strength

as a human and the fact that she doesn't

decrease how feminine she is and how much she

loves dressing up and being fashionable

and doing those stereotypically girly

things really shows how you can be

feminine, but you can still be strong -

those aren't mutually exclusive, you can

be both. First on my list for strong

female protagonists is actually one that

I don't know if many people have heard

of - it's Alana from The Song of the Lioness

Quartet and while I will claim till the

day I die that Alana is genderfluid

or is nonbinary in some sense, she is not

written that way, so I'm including her

in this list. The way Isabelle

exemplifies strength is also the way

Alana exemplifies strength - she is

strength. She breaks so many gender roles

just to be herself, she doesn't want to

be what is assigned for women, she doesn't

want that role, she wants to be a fighter

and she goes and does it and I think

that that is something so incredible.

She literally breaks all the gender roles

there are holding her back

and unlike Isabelle, she isn't as in tune

with her femininity.

Despite that, I think that she definitely

is such a strong character and if you

haven't heard The Song of the Lioness

series, I highly recommend it because I

think that it's an extremely well-written

series for one, but also that her

character is just such a brilliant

character and she is the top character I

think of when I think of a strong female

protagonist because that is

literally what she is.

I love her character and I have since I

was first introduced to her. That's about

all I have for this video - I hope you

guys will pick up the books that these

characters are in because they all have

strong female characters. I hope that you

got something out of this video. I
