PTSD AND WEED - Duration: 10:51.

the way that is the track every now and

start on the floor stops don't thinking

that shit gets old

what's up guys things come back for

another video so if you follow me on

snapchat you probably saw that like

really crazy intense edible that I just

ate like an hour ago now so on

it's kicking end and i actually already

filmed this video but the microphone

with a non so not going to do this over

so I'm more stone then I was prepared to

be for this video so um so a lot of you

guys have been asking me about PTSD and

like weed and anxiety all up stuff as I

to make one of those like really weird

educational videos are so popular and

I'm going to slow so much

no but really on i'm going to try to

give you guys some specific information

about PTSD and weed and at the end of

this video i'm gonna give you guys some

specific strains that I think are going

to work really well at treating PTSD so

if you want to hear some of strength be

sure to see into the end of this video I

was going to get Dowd but I i don't

think that you should I'm really stoned

already i'm just going to get their jobs

so I'm dabbing on from this key drone I

didn't tell you about interior eyes

seeing you rig because it is not mine it

belongs to my friends

so here's the rig that she's got a very

cool on going to be taking it out for a

minute

I was really good and casey jones is

actually one of the strange that i was

going to recommend at the end but since

I just to get out of it i'm gonna go

ahead and recommend that first right now

and i will tell you that's why at the

end video so you have my notes here

that's going to help me out during this

video so first off I'm gonna go ahead

and sort of remind everybody that

anybody can have PTSD i know so many

people that have struggled with PTSD for

a long time and they don't really get

help or talk about it until chili or

until they've suffered for like years

and years and years I'm not really sure

where that myth came from not only the

only war veterans can a PTSD and i know

some people like symptoms are like PTSD

aren't really taking seriously must leap

into war or they are veteran so don't

let anybody tell you that it's

impossible for you not have PTSD just

because you are not a war veteran

because if you don't know what pcs is

post-traumatic stress disorder is

something that develops after you

experience like a traumatic or like

really scary early cure fine event and

if you think about that

I'm that can be a lot of things it

doesn't have to be specifically wore it

can be like car accidents like a fire or

child abuse or like this abuse in

general a lot of things can trigger PTSD

some of the symptoms of PTSD victims go

through can be like reliving the

traumatising event having flashbacks of

that event on an overall feeling of like

an easy like terror or nightmares

tonight years which is something that i

can relate to you that's something that

I really think cannabis can help and I'm

not sure is a lot of people actually

know how cannabis can help on night

here's like having bad dreams i know a

lot of people say you can just like make

you sleepy and make you like want to

fall asleep because falling asleep is a

huge problem for people to have PTSD or

like different society disorders and

that can be really

official to but what I'm talking about

is cannabis actually disrupting your REM

sleep pattern which is what causes huge

you go into a deep sleep and half these

really bad trains like really bad

nightmares so if you're like me and you

use canvas on a regular basis you're

going to build up cannabinoids in your

system you know they're basically didn't

disrupt your REM sleep pattern so you

don't have those crazy dreams i

personally use cannabis to stop night

terrors and since i started using

cannabis regularly i haven't had a dream

that i can remember in a really long

time and usually if i have a dream i

really don't remember it I know you guys

would probably agree with me and rather

not have any dreams at all then to be

terrified going to sleep or having like

insane dreams every night so but that

shows me personally if you suffer from

chronic nightmares you're like

nightmares cannabis can help you not

land and I really just want people to

also remember that PTSD is just another

like anxiety disorder another symptom of

that is losing interest and things that

you enjoy and that can really such

imagine loving to like play with your

dog or like go bowling early

what if you like make videos or

something like this and then just waking

up and just not being interested in it

at all like you would rather just focus

on your own negative thoughts that him

to do something fun and that you would

love so that's something that a lot of

people suffer with the a PTSD just

really not interested in like enjoyable

things so i don't really think i have to

go too much into how cannabis can help

this situation we'd pretty much makes

everything more enjoyable another than

cannabis can do is keep you really

relaxing home on pretty much all the

time i know i personally suffer from

this sent him a lot i personally like

really agitated and like just really hum

sort of like erratic sometimes but

cannabis is something that helps that

but if i didn't have candidates and I

was angry and like just anxious and on

edge all the time which a lot of people

are because they're not going to help

for it

um i would probably develop so many

other stress disorders you do not want

your stress levels to be too hot why not

just smoking cannabis and save yourself

possibility of becoming too stressed out

in the future and just like really

something yourself now i'm really not

sure why stress has always made out the

seem like a recreational thing to treat

when it comes to cannabis because stress

can literally kill you but anyways I

think we've gotten to the part of the

video where i'm going to go ahead and

recommend you guys some strains for PTSD

/ anxiety disorders I personal use all

of these strengths for to treat my

anxiety i haven't specifically been

diagnosed with PTSD but i do think that

some of these strains will be like

really helpful to you guys so the first

train i obviously already recommended

was a chief jones Casey Jones is a

sativa dominant hybrid when I favorite

strains and it will make you with very

very happy

so not going to go right and you losing

interest in things and like not really

wanting to get up in like Deepings Casey

Jones going to make you really happy

it's going to make you really creative

it's going to make you want to like go

out walking nature or like do something

fun but it's going to make you want to

like get up and do it i'm also going to

go ahead and recommend agent orange

adjusted a review on agent orange um i

think last week but pretty much like a

50-50 hybrid be really nice train if

your not wanting to get like too high or

how too much does look hideous x is

going to be a great shame for that

extreme I'm going trick men is blue

dream blue dream is a sativa dominant

hybrid as well as Casey Jones blue dream

is a little bit different as far as sex

goes blue dream is probably like one of

my favorite strings to smoke

specifically for anxiety symptoms like

symptoms Ryan a disorder

um it's a really nice strange just like

come home if you have like a really long

stressful and just filled day arm

definitely come home smoke some blue

dream about a movie play some video

games and you're just going to like

relax it specifically really putting you

to sleep after this achieve effects wear

off pretty much after all of this TV

effects are gone i am just like knocked

out like it's really awesome i think it

actually works better than some end

because I've had at like insomnia sell

those really awful shame that I have

right now it's recommend you guys for

this specific video so hopefully you

guys liked it if you did go ahead and

hit the thumbs up button also don't

forget to share this video sharing these

videos helped me out so much guys that

would mean like the world to me if you

share this video also i also want to

remind you guys that you are all of

awesome i love all the comments you guys

leave all my videos and all that stuff

and all the snapshot like stuff except

your penis

don't don't seem your penis guys don't

you don't please don't do it please stop

please stop

actually it for this video guys I'm

gonna go to educated stay medicated

don't see me dick pics and i will see

They're absolutely horrible.

And you can probably see the ones on my shoulder.

See you can see it on my face how horrible that looks.

And my chest, can't really see but yeah

my shoulder has all these marks and uplifted pores.

[ Heartbeat ]

I've taught myself to be more confident in my body.

To love it a bit more.

I'm gonna do more research on procedures that lessen the appearance of these scars.

I know they won't completely go away but if they don't look as bad as they do now.

I'll be pretty happy.

You know I try to be a confident person but sometimes things just get in the way

and you kind of have doubts about yourself

and today I'm feeling that.

I'm so sorry for doing such a depressing, ah, video but I felt I needed to do it

I think he is already dead

I think is a good idea if your name is Marina

I think that we can go to talk with him

In order to help her

(It doesn't enter)

Well, let's do it

Ok, I think that we can travel through the time, we go

capture Mendel and bring him back

Whatever, It sounds cool, we are gonna kidnap a scientist

It sounds interesting

It is not kidnap, we are just gonna stole a little bit of his time.

And, I think that I have one dispositive that can help us

So, the only thing that we can do

it's to pray for nothing happen to us.

I don't remember him?

Are you serious?

I am not joking

Well, I think that I can help you with some information about him

Gregor or Gregorio Mendel born in 1822

And he is know as the "father of modern genetics"

Mendel was a monk that discovered the basic principles of heredity

through experiments in his monastery's garden.

Wait a minute!, I remember

I have read it from Biology's book

He did experiments with pea plants, right?

Exactly, he did it

Well, If you know this information

I think that we can start with the kidnapping

Are they converse?!

Really?

Okay Mendel….Confess!

What did you do in your experiment?

Is that lamp necessary?

I make the questions here!...Talk!

Just….answer please.

Well...I wanted to know what happened if I crossed two pea plants

taking control over them…

So...

are you saying that you are a manipulator?

and that all those poor plants

had been bullied all this time?

What were you thinking about?!

(What?)

Whateve...as I said,

I wanted to know what happen if I crossed his stocks

of true-breeding plants, preventing their self-pollination.

It's amazing

But, How did you do that?

I cut the female part of one of them and the male part of the another one

With a brush, I took the pollen of the one with the male part

and put it in the one with the female part

Wow! You are a genious!

Wait, Why are you a genious?

What did you discover?

I heard about...some laws or something like that

Oh yes! I have troubles with that!

As in everythong related with your life...

Just forget it

Can you explain us?

Yes, of course

Wow, this is pretty interesting!

Yes, I want to hear more about this...

What do you think and how do you feel with all this discovers?

Well, I am a really patient person

Are you sure about that?

Edna, shut up!

Yes, pretty sure...it is because I am in a monastery

everything is in calm

and I alsoteach in a high school

I thought you were locked here all the time...

And that's why you experiment with plants

I like doing experiments,

I was at the garden when I saw the plants

I decided to hold them

and when I saw the result I was so proud and excited

That would make you popular in that time

Well, not so much, everybody ignores my job…

What?! are they crazy ?!

Come on Cruz

You didn't know what did he do before we came

hey!, well, it doesn't matter

the thing is that now I know

Why did they ignore you?

First because I came from a family of farmers

I also was a good student at school

one of the best if I can say...

but I think they wouldn't believe me

But...you have proves

I think you never thought that you would be famous

Yes, I never thought about it...

but, am I famous?

Of course you are!

Today's exam has something related with you

That's right, where am I?

Last question please...

What are this squares?

I can't understand this

I thought you would explain me that

Now I get i, it is so simple!

Yes, I think that we are ready for the exam

Yes, girls, It is a little bit late

I think that we need to take you back home Mendel

Yes, thanks for this lesson

Goodbye!

Wait...What?!

Now, are you ready for the exam?

Yes, I am ready

Well, we need to clean everything

relax a little bit to be prepared for the exam

Nah, you are going to clean,

I need to sleep a little bit…

Girls, can I tell you something?

What's the matter?

Well, the exam is in one hour...

But it is not about genetics

WHAT?!

If you are joing

I'm going to kill you

Nonono, I'm not joking, really

What are we going to present?

Making travel to and from the U.S. easier and more efficient - Duration: 9:57.

Resuming debate: the Honourable Member for Kitchener South - Hespeler.

Thank you Mr. Speaker.

I am pleased to join the debate about Bill C-23, an Act respecting the pre-clearance of persons

and goods in Canada and the United States.

The bill would modify the legislative framework governing pre-clearance operations, the process

that allows people travelling from Canada to the U.S. to go through American customs

and immigration procedures while still on Canadian soil.

This currently exists at eight Canadian airports, and as anyone who has taken advantage of it

is aware, it makes travel to the United States much faster and more convenient.

With C-23 in place, it will be possible to expand pre-clearance to new locations and

modes of transportation, to implement cargo pre-clearance, and to establish for the first

time Canadian pre-clearance operations in the United States.

This entails substantial advantages for Canadian travellers and for the Canadian economy.

Certain members have raised concerns about the Bill and the new legislative framework

it will create.

That is obviously fine.

Each of us has the responsibility as members of Parliament to scrutinize legislation and

bring any potential issues to the House's attention.

But, we also have the responsibility to avoid exaggerated statements and keep our

analysis tethered to the facts.

Unfortunately, certain critics of C-23, and in particular the NDP candidate for Ottawa—Vanier,

have been, and I assume unintentionally, making blatantly incorrect assertions about the Bill, and

it is important to set the record straight.

To begin, that candidate has written that Bill C-23 will allow American border security

officers to arrest Canadians on Canadian soil.

This is completely wrong.

Under this legislation, U.S. officers will have no powers of arrest whatsoever.

She has also written that C-23 will allow U.S. pre-clearance officers to detain,

question, seize property, frisk, strip search, and arrest Canadian citizens on Canadian soil.

Once again, this claim about powers of arrest is simply fictional.

As for the first four items in that list, U.S. officers have already had those authorities

for decades.

In fact, during the debate, NDP members have been calling for the current framework to

remain in place.

While the current framework empowers U.S. officers to detain, question, seize property,

and frisk Canadian citizens on Canadian soil, it seems worth asking whether the NDP candidate

in Ottawa—Vanier considers her own party's position in favour of the current pre-clearance

arrangement to be an affront to Canadian sovereignty.

With respect to searches, the current framework allows U.S. pre-clearance officers to detain

a traveller for the purpose of a search, and requires them to request a Canadian officer

to conduct the search.

This remains the case in C-23.

The only change is that in the exceptional circumstance that a Canadian officer is unavailable,

U.S. officers would be allowed to conduct the search themselves.

If the NDP considers this a bridge too far, they are free to make that argument, but I think

most Canadians will rightly see this as the minor adjustment that it is.

On the subject of travellers who enter a pre-clearance area then change their mind and decide to

withdraw, the NDP candidate has written that there is no escape.

She claims U.S. officers would have all the power they need to hold anyone they want.

The reality is that travellers would be free to withdraw from pre-clearance, just as they

are now.

Bill C-23 merely adds that withdrawing travellers may have to say who they are and why they

are leaving, in order to guard against people probing the pre-clearance area for security

weaknesses.

Moreover, it is already the case under existing law.

Anyone detained by a U.S. pre-clearance officer must be transferred to Canadian authorities

as soon as possible.

She has also written that C-23 would protect U.S. pre-clearance officers who abuse

their powers from all prosecution.

Once more, this is just plain false.

The new pre-clearance agreement with the United States, the one being implemented by the bill,

would establish a fully reciprocal framework for shared criminal jurisdiction.

The U.S. would have primary jurisdiction over most acts committed by its officers in the

course of their duties, just as Canada would have primary jurisdiction over most criminal

offences committed by our officers in the United States.

The host country would retain primary jurisdiction for the most serious offences, as well as

any offence committed by an officer while off duty.

With respect to civil actions, C-23 maintains the existing rules.

As is currently the case, a traveller who feels they have been mistreated could not

sue an individual officer, but they could sue the U.S. government and the same would

apply in reverse for Canadian operations on American soil.

In all circumstances, American pre-clearance officers operating in Canada would be required

to comply with Canadian law, including the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Canadian

Bill of Rights and the Canadian Human Rights Act.

The more we expand pre-clearance, the more Canadian travellers can undergo U.S. border

procedures while protected by Canadian law and the Canadian Constitution.

The alternative is for Canadian travellers to be searched and questioned in the United

States with none of these safeguards.

Finally, the NDP candidate in Ottawa--Vanier has written that C-23 "threatens the

rights of permanent residents of Canada to be able to return home from abroad".

This is, once again, incorrect.

There is absolutely nothing in this bill that will prevent permanent residents from returning

to Canada.

Her assertion seems to be a reference to the unlikely confluence of multiple hypotheticals

that could result in a person with major admissibility issues having to return to Canada the usual

way rather than through pre-clearance in the event that Canada established pre-clearance

operations in the U.S. and in the event that a permanent resident of Canada develops a

major admissibility issue such as committing a serious crime and in the event that a person

is nevertheless allowed into the United States.

Such a person may have to re-enter Canada through the ordinary port of entry rather

than benefiting from pre-clearance, simply because pre-clearance officers may not be

equipped to deal with that particular situation.

Now the NDP is free to argue that this quadruple hypothetical, whereby a person with a record

of serious criminality would be inconvenienced, is a good reason to deny millions of Canadians

the advantages of expanded pre-clearance, but, Mr. Speaker, I strongly disagree.

And that is the heart of the issue here.

Do the concerns raised by the NDP justify saying "no thanks" to the huge upside of pre-clearance

expansion?

It seems quite clear to me that they don't.

The changes that would be made by C-23 to the legislative framework governing pre-clearance

are moderate and reasonable.

And they would pave the way for substantial benefits, benefits such as reducing congestion

to 12 million passengers per year, benefits such as 2015 where Canada exported over $400

billion worth of goods and services, benefits of $50 million in services to the United States,

benefits of 600,000 jobs, benefits of tourism and activities.

We're talking about reducing hassles and delays for Canadian travellers making it more

convenient for tourists and business travellers to come to Canada, and making it quicker and

easier for Canadian businesses to ship goods to and from the United States.

Bill C-23 will be good for travellers, good for business, and a major step forward for

the Canadian economy.

I invite all the honourable members to engage in thoughtful, informed discussion of this legislation, both

today and hopefully, at the committee.

And, I certainly intend to support the bill. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

Gospel Movie clip "Waiting" (5) - How to Discern God's Voice (1) - Duration: 31:12.

Throughout today's world,

the Church of Almighty God alone has publicly testified that

the Lord Jesus has returned to flesh, (Yes.)

and is the incarnate Almighty God. (Amen.)

Yet today, many are still unable to discern the voice of God.

Brothers and sisters, all the words of the Bible are the voice of God.

Do you say they need to be discerned?

Sister Zhu, what you say is wrong.

The Bible only foretold what He'd do and say at His return,

but didn't record it. (Right. Yes.)

In fact, identifying the voice of God

means recognizing the words and utterances of God,

and recognizing the characteristics of the Creator's words.

Regardless of whether they're words of God become flesh,

or the utterances of the Spirit of God,

they're all words spoken by God to mankind from up high.

Such are the characteristics of God's words.

Brothers and sisters, peace in the Lord! (Amen!)

We're now in the late period of the last days. (Exactly.)

The various prophecies of Lord's arrival are fulfilled.

We all await the return of the Lord. (Amen.)

Throughout today's world,

the Church of Almighty God alone has publicly testified that

the Lord Jesus has returned to flesh, (Yes.)

and is the incarnate Almighty God. (Amen.)

The Lord Jesus has returned to flesh?

The Lord has come back finally.

Almighty God has expressed all truths for man's salvation,

and is doing judgment beginning from the house of God. (Yes. Amen.)

The words of Almighty God—The Word Appears in the Flesh are published online,

and can be examined by the whole world, by all mankind. (Indeed.)

It's gospel of the descent of God's kingdom. (Amen.)

It's spread across all Mainland China. This is an undeniable fact. (Amen.)

Recently, we've enjoyed fellowships

from the preachers of the Church of Almighty God.

I affirm that Almighty God is the appearance of the Lord Jesus. (Amen.)

Our long-held wish finally has come true.

Lord Jesus has returned!

The Lord has returned? Is it true?

Huh, impossible!

Wonderful. At my age, I never thought I would behold the return of the Lord.

Yes.

The Lord's returned? Why haven't we been raptured?

Sisters, people say the Lord is here and there, but we mustn't believe them.

We must be wary of false Christs and prophets.

Yes, we must be careful.

Ah, Pastor Yang, you say the Lord Jesus has returned. So where is the Lord?

Where do we go to see the Lord? (Yes, where?)

Thanks be to the Lord. We all long for the Lord's return.

If we wish to behold the Lord, to see His appearance,

we must first hear the Lord's voice. (Indeed.)

Almighty God has expressed all truths for judgment of the last days.

They are the words the Holy Spirit speaks to the churches.

Amen.

Many have already read the words of Almighty God, and heard God's voice.

They have all been taken before God,

and are attending the wedding feast of the Lamb.

What a great blessing that is!

Indeed. Such a great blessing!

Yet today, many are still unable to discern the voice of God.

And so, today from the Church of Almighty God, we've invited Sister Xiang.

Hello! (Hello!)

Sister Chen.

Everyone, hello! (Hello!)

Sister Li.

Thanks be to God. (Thank the Lord.)

We've invited them to fellowship on how to identify God's voice.

So we'll know how to ascertain that Almighty God is the return of Lord Jesus.

What do you say? (Great!)

Identify God's voice?

Brothers and sisters, all the words of the Bible are the voice of God.

Do you say they need to be discerned? (Exactly!)

Sister Zhu, what you say is wrong.

The Bible only foretold what He'd do and say at His return,

but didn't record it.

Right, there is no record in the Bible.

Revelation foretold that

Amen.

Sister, have you forgotten these words?

Do you really not believe that the Lord will speak when He returns? (Right.)

The clever should listen to how to identify the Lord's voice,

so they won't miss His return.

Yes, we all had better listen.

Yes. Let's listen.

Brothers and sisters, the question you've asked is important. (Indeed.)

To accept God's work of the last days and behold His appearance,

we must know how to identify God's voice. (Yes.)

Here, God's authority and identity are clearly manifested.

It can be said this is the unique means the Creator speaks. (Yes.)

Surely each time He becomes flesh, God's utterances cover many areas.

Most are God's demands and His admonitions,

administrative decrees and commandments,

words of judgment and revelation of corrupt mankind.

So, too, are there words of prophecies and God's promises to mankind.

They are the expression of the truth, the way, and the life. (Amen.)

They all reveal the substance of God's life,

representing all God has and is.

Amen.

And so, man is able to see from the words God expresses

God's words are the truth; they have authority and power. (Amen.)

Thus, if you wish to know

if the words expressed by Almighty God are the voice of God,

you can look at the words of the Lord Jesus and of Almighty God.

You can compare and see if they're the words expressed by one Spirit,

and whether they are the work done by one God.

If their source is the same,

then this proves that Almighty God's words are God's utterances,

Almighty God is God's appearance.

There is a path. So practical. Yes.

We've read the words spoken by Jehovah during the Age of Law,

and the words of Jesus in the Age of Grace.

Both were direct expression of the Holy Spirit, and were the work of one God.

This proves that Lord Jesus was the appearance of Jehovah,

the appearance of the Creator. (Amen.)

Those who've read the Bible all know

that in the words of Lord Jesus in the Age of Grace,

there were admonitions and requirements,

and words that touched upon God's administrative decrees.

So, too, were there prophecies and promises.

These were one complete stage of work done by God in the Age of Grace. (Amen.)

Wonderful. Great.

Yes, God's sheep hear His voice.

Everyone, as to how to identify the voice of God,

all becomes clear if we look at the words of the Lord.

First, we look at the Lord Jesus' requirements and admonitions for man. (OK.)

For example,

Amen.

In Chapter 5 of Matthew,

Amen.

Brothers and sisters,

let's next look at what the Lord has said about administrative decrees. (Great.)

Matthew 12:31-32,

Also, in Matthew 5:22

Amen.

In addition to these administrative decrees,

there are the Lord's words judging and exposing the Pharisees.

Brothers and sisters, the Lord Jesus also spoke promises and prophecies to man.

Let's read them together. (Okay.)

Please turn to John 14:2-3.

Amen.

There's also John 12:47-48.

The Lord Jesus also said,

Amen.

So, too, is there Revelation 21:3-4,

Amen.

God's word is indeed different from man's, full of power and authority. (Yes.)

Brothers and sisters,

from the truths expressed by the Lord Jesus during the Age of Grace,

we can see that Lord Jesus was the appearance of the Savior, (Yes. Amen.)

and that the Lord's words were God's utterances made to all of mankind. (Amen.)

He directly expressed God's disposition and His will for all mankind

to provide for, and to lead, and personally redeem mankind.

This represents God's identity and authority. (Amen.)

Reading them,

we feel that these words are the truth and possess great authority.

These words are the voice of God. They are God's utterances to mankind. (Amen.)

During the last days, the Lord returned:

Almighty God performed judgment of the last days.

He brought the Age of Kingdom and ended the Age of Grace.

Based upon the Lord Jesus' work of redemption,

Almighty God has performed judgment beginning from the house of God,

and has expressed all truths for mankind's purification and salvation.

The words of Almighty God are rich in content and comprehensive.

As Almighty God says,

Amen.

Almighty God has expressed so many words to all mankind.

We really need to listen carefully.

Everyone, in the last days,

the words of Almighty God are wide-ranging and quite rich.

In them is mainly judgment,

the administrative decrees, and commandments of the Age of Kingdom,

as well as God's requirements, admonitions, promises, prophecies, and so forth.

Next, let's first read God's words

about His admonitions and requirements as well as His work.

What do you say? (OK.)

Amen. Yeah.

Almighty God's voice is so familiar. It sounds like the Lord Jesus'.

You read next. (Mm, OK.)

Amen.

Why don't I read. (Mm, OK.)

Amen. Yes.

Sister, would you like to read next? (OK.)

Amen.

Thanks be to the Lord. Praise Him.

Almighty God expresses man's attitude toward God very clearly and accurately.

Yes.

Only God looks within man's heart and sees the true state of man's depravity.

Indeed, only God can speak clearly of God's work and His will for mankind.

Only God can know who may enter God's kingdom and who'll be annihilated. (Yes.)

An Alien

Praised be the Lord Jesus Christ!

welcome you to today's episode of our Lenten retreat

for immigrants and for everyone else as well.

Recently, we have discussed emigration as a great chance for us to use to benefit ourselves.

Today we will talk about the price of our decisions to emigrate.

There are many hardships and inconveniences associated with emigration.

One of the most difficult is the feeling of alienation,

the feeling of not belonging in a new environment.

It is not only a difficult feeling but also a very challenging experience.

The Israelites had this experience when they left Egypt.

The Israelites from Assyria of Babylonia were familiar with it too.

Current immigrants are also exposed.

It is worthwhile to face this experience,

since it can bring good fruits.

We Christians are perceived as strangers, that we do not fit in the world, because Christ does not fit either.

Christ did not belong to the world, so we also do not belong to this the world.

However, emigration can help us to face this isolation problem.

Consider today when you feel the most alienated,

which situations make you feel most isolated, in which circles do you feel the most secluded.

Then, try to accept it and, like Christ, stay a stranger to the world.

Ask yourself if you can deal with the feeling of strangeness.

This experience might become a blessing.

For many of us,

and for me personally, these hardships at the beginning:

feeling of isolation,

homesickness,

desire for home, family, friends,

landscapes,

and also loneliness are very painful.

for the first time in lives a man feels

like an alien.

The feeling of not belonging brings about the temptation to return to our starting points.

The Israelites, while coming out of Egypt, experienced this

this when they wanted to return back to the place where they had plenty of everything, such as food.

In the spiritual life, there is a temptation to return to our old habits.

These habits can be beneficial or malicious.

Habits often seem to be a threat for us.

They keep us closed and we are not open for new things. We are not open for God.

Hence, it is worth lifting ourselves above our habits.

Therefore, I encourage you today to think what is your habit

that makes you closed to God.

What pattern in your thinking, speaking, and acting toward God and others

makes you most closed to accepting new things?
