Tutorial - Thank You Greeting Card - Duration: 4:24.

Hi! I'm Susana from Pink&Fun

and today I will make a greeting card

using some of the materials that Rita sent to me

and I showed you in the previous video

So to the card base

I've cut cardstock with 17 cm x 12 cm

and I've scored it at 8.5 cm

I will fold from the score line

and set aside

Now, I will choose the patterned paper

and cut them in the needed measures

I cut one with 11,5 cm x 8 cm

and I'll stick it to the card

I cut the other with 11 cm x 7,5 cm

it will be to paste here

but before

I will use this stamp from Lilipop

and the embossing tools:

the heat gun,

the VersaMark ink

and the embossing powder

in this case, I will use the white

I will also use an A4 sheet folded in half

to put the powder back in the container easily

after use

So, I'll apply the ink

and stamp

The VersaMark is a special ink

that will grab the powder to melt

It can be replaced by slow drying inks

but it is better to talk about this in another video

I will apply the embossing powder

and gently remove any excess

To melt the powder, I use the heat gun

I will turn it on

allow to warm

and put over what I want to melt

for a few seconds

The paper shoud have more weight

than this I am using

to not wrinkle with the heat

I've cut some fun foam with 11 cm x 7.5 cm

that I'll adhere to the main panel with double-sided tape

and then to the card

I will die cut two hearts from this set

using the Sizzix Big Shot

one in white carsdstock and the other in patterned paper

I will paste one over the other

and apply to the card

Now, to embellish, I will choose a sticker

It will be one of these bows

that I fall in love at first sight

And here's my card

I hope you enjoyed,

thank you for watching

Kisses and see you next video

Amnesia CBD marijuana feminized strain by Dinafem Seeds in 4k - Duration: 1:43.

Our collection could not do without

a CBD version of one of

the most popular strains of all times:

the Original Amnesia Haze.

We´ve thus made this plant: the Amnesia CBD,

which is suitable for all users

because the effect is not that hard and psychedelic.

Amnesia CBD is a Sativa-dominant plant.

It comes from the cross of an Original Amnesia

and our elite CBD clone.

The flowering period of this plant

goes from 60 to 65 days.

After that, it will give you a harvest

from half a kilo to 1 kg.

It is a very productive plant,

so you will get very elongated buds like these ones

- you can see that there are plenty of them

and they´re coated in trichomes on the top.

The aroma of this plant is very similar

to the one of her mother, the Original Amnesia.

We are talking about a deep flavour and aroma

with hints of lemon, fruits, wood and Haze.

Pickled Marinated Marrows - Recipe Collection

If you get in the way of subtitles - turn them off!

Hello! My name is Dina. And I'm glad that you are again on the channel "Collection of Recipes".

Today I propose to prepare a very interesting recipe for a delicious snack - marinated zucchini!

The advantage of this recipe is not only the speed of cooking, but also that the vegetables remain fresh and do not lose their usefulness.

This snack is prepared from the simplest products, which are available almost all the year round.

This recipe is universal - perfectly suited for both a festive feast and a picnic in the fresh air.

For its preparation we will need • 1 kg. Zucchini • 100 ml. Vegetable oil

• 4 tablespoons 9% vinegar • 3 tbsp. Liquid honey

• 6 cloves of garlic • 1 chili

• 2 teaspoons Salt • greens

For this recipe is ideal for young zucchini with thin skin.

Squash should be washed and dried.

Remove the stem, take a large bowl and with potato peeler cut the squash into thin long slices.

Try to cut the white dense pulp of zucchini, without touching the inside with the seeds, it can be used for another recipe, for example, to prepare a vegetable stew.

So, cut all the zucchini.

Sprinkle the sliced slices with salt and gently mix, we need to let zucchini start the juice, set them aside for 20-30 minutes.

In the meantime, we'll prepare a marinade.

In a separate dish chop the garlic, it can be finely chopped, squeezed through a press or as in my case, grate on a small grater.

Very finely diagonally cut a little chili pepper, but this is optional.

I add it for easy acuity, pleasant aroma and for beauty.

Transfer the pepper to the garlic.

Then add liquid honey, pour vinegar and vegetable oil.

Then very finely chop the greens.

Take any greens that you like - parsley, cilantro, basil, tarragon, but from my own experience I will say that the dill fits the best.

Pour the greens into the marinade and mix well.

Marinade is ready.

Since we have salted zucchini, it took 20 minutes, they well let the juice, merge it, we will not need it.

Pour marinade into zucchini and mix well.

Everything, the cooking process is over!

Send them to the refrigerator and after an hour zucchini can be served to the table.

It is so tasty, spicy and easy to prepare snack, that it will become for you a stick-zashchalochkoy for any occasion.

The taste of this snack is very unusual, with an Asian touch, and it will be to the taste even for those who do not like zucchini.

Store marinated zucchini in the refrigerator, in a closed container, no more than 7 days, but they are usually eaten in the first 2 days.

This recipe can be prepared using both wine and balsamic vinegar, with the addition of olive oil and soy sauce, fresh and dried herbs and spices.

Experiment, find your original recipe.

I wish everyone a pleasant appetite!

And how do you marinate zucchini? Write your recipe in the comments, many will be interested, including me!

If you liked this snack - put your finger up and share it with your friends!

Egypt Blockades the Straits of Tiran | Six Day War Project #3 - Duration: 2:14.

(orchestra music)

The week of May 23rd, 1967.

(orchestra music)

The previous week, Egypt had moved 80,000 troops,

550 tanks and 1,000 artillery pieces into the Sinai,

the buffer zone between Egypt and Israel

and expelled the UN force intended to keep the peace.

Israel began defensive preparations,

but sought international diplomacy to avert the crisis.

Prime minister Levi Eshkol stated that

Israel would not initiate hostilities

unless Egyptian forces closed the international waterway

leading to Israel's southern port.

Its closure would shut down Israel's supply of

oil and other vital resources

and block access of Israeli ships to the east.

On May 23rd, President Nasser did just that

and blockaded the Straits of Tiran

leading to the Gulf of Aqaba

and cutting off shipping to Israel's southern port of Eilat.

This action violated UN security counsel resolution 118,

was condemned by US President Johnson,

and constituted a casus belli,

an internationally recognized act of war.

Yet, Israel restrained from taking any military action

still preferring a diplomatic solution to the conflict.

But from Nasser's statements and from

public opinion of the Arab masses

inflamed with the prospect of destroying Israel,

it seemed that a diplomatic solution

was not going to be an option.

Five other Arab countries rallied

around Nasser and sent their troops to the front lines.

War seemed imminent.

MOM BUYS HOMELESS MAN BREAKFAST, THEN HE SLIPS HER A NOTE WITH A SHOCKING CONFESSION - Duration: 2:56.

A lot of doom and gloom stories are making headlines around the world lately and it's

easy for us to conclude that the world is going to hell.

However, I think there are a lot more inspiring stories in the world today, but sometimes

you just need to look around!

Let's look at one case for example.

A mother named Casey recently went to grab breakfast at a Dunkin' Donuts when she noticed

a homeless man begging for food and money.

Casey could have been like all the other people there and ignored him, but what she did instead

was literally life changing.

Casey shared her story on Facebook, and it's gone viral with more than 120,000 shares…

For good reason, too!

BELOW IS THE INCREDIBLE STORY:

"Today I went to Dunkin' Donuts and saw a clearly homeless guy sitting on the side

of the road and picking up change.

Eventually I saw him stroll into Dunkin, as he was counting his change to buy something

I began to get super annoying and talked to him over and over again even when he didn't

really want to talk."

"Since he had maybe $1 in change I bought him a coffee and bagel and asked him to sit

down with me.

He told me a lot about how people are usually very mean to him because he's homeless,

how drugs turned him into the person he hated, he lost his mom to cancer, he never knew his

dad and he just wants to be someone his mom would be proud of (along with another hours

worth of conversation.)"

After realizing I really need to get back to class Chris asked me to wait so he can

write something down for me.

Handing me a crumpled up receipt he apologized for having shaky hand writing, smiled, and

left.

THE SHOCKING CONFESSION:

"I opened his note and this was it.

'I wanted to kill myself today, because of u I now do not.

Thank u, beautiful person.'"

You don't need a million dollars to help people in need.

Sometimes it's just the smallest gesture of love that can make the biggest difference.

Hats off to Casey for shining her light into Chris's life.

Don't forget to share this amazing story with your friends.

Superman: American Alien [REVIEW] - Duration: 7:51.

Although it may seem strange

many of Superheroes everyone knows and loves

have been superannuated.

Many of them are in the business for 50-60-70

and even, like Superman,

the first superhero of modern times,

80 year!

So it happens the first stories which tell

the origins of those characters become outdated,

and they need to be rewrited

to make them more desirable for modern readers,

or simply to make them more dignified.

Becouse of this old age and the different attitude of the authors toward superheroes comic books,

it's not unusual to find rewrites in everything better than originals.

The best exemple is Batman: Year One, and I already talked about it.

But, beyond Batman, the most rewrited superhero origins are, obviously, those of Superman,

the oldest of superheroes!

Many of these stories are really good.

Among them: John Byrne's Man of Steel,

Mark Waid's Superman: Birthright,

Geoff Johns's Superman: Secret Origin

and New 52 Action Comics run of Grant Morrison.

But, in my opinion, none of these stories, maybe except Birthright, are as amazing as the latest Superman: American Alien,

written by Max Landis and drew by:

Nick Dragotta, Tommy Lee Edwards, Joelle Jones, Jae Lee, Francis Manapul, Jonathan Case and Jock.

I MIEI PREFERITI ✨ PER UNA PELLE SUPER GLOWY (ENG SUB) | MrDanielMakeup - Duration: 20:16.

Hi guys! It's been a while since I filmed a video about my favourite products.

Let me know with a comment down below if you like this kind of content and leave some suggestions.

Since you guys often ask me questions, I'll try to answer to them during these videos.

In this video I want to show you my favourite products to achieve a glowy, fresh and summery look.

I'm obsessed with a luminous complexion and I like to use the textures I'm about to show you.

I also filmed a tutorial about this kind of look, I'll leave you the link to it up here.

During the past few years a made a lot of research to find the best products to achieve this effect.

I'm about to show you my favourite ones and I divided them into four categories.

For the first category, I'll show you the cream and liquid products I use to achieve a dewy, almost wet effect.

The first one is La Base Pro Hydra Glow by Lancome, which is a gorgeous product.

You can use it before makeup, as a moisturizing and glowy base,

or, as I prefer, on top of foundation by dabbing it with your fingers.

The texture is creamy and it never absorbs completely, but it leaves a nice, natural sheen on top of the skin.

If you're a makeup artist and you need to create an editorial look, the effect needs to look natural,

so this is ideal because by dabbing it on the high points of the face you get a luminous and plumped effect.

The price is 38,10 euros and you can purchase it on Lancome's website or at Sephora.

The next product is a recent discovery: LA Lights by Smashbox, a stick highlighter.

This is in the shade Hollywood and Highlight and it's such an amazing product.

Unlike most stick highlighters, which are quite powdery, this one gives a wet effect.

Let me show you on the hand.

I don't know if you can see that it has a golden pearlescence to it.

It's also available in other shades like a bronzed one, which I used to achieve a wet effect smokey eye.

I used this product on Giulia during Smashbox Master Class and I posted the photo on Instagram.

So many of you asked me what I used on the cheekbones because the effect was beautiful.

This is what I used.

The price is 26 euros and you can purchase it at La Gardenia or on Smashbox's website.

Although this next product is very expensive, I really recommend it: it's the Shade and Illuminate by Tom Ford.

In the beginning I didn't love it and I was only using the contouring side.

I had tried to use the highlighter on top of foundation, but since it's very glossy, the result was blotchy.

I recently tried to leave the cheekbones area without any foundation and dab the product on the skin.

The effect is stunning: the cheekbone seems wet, it almost seems like plastic.

It's important not to use it on top of foundation though, otherwise it gets very messy.

The other option is to apply it before foundation and dab the base on top of it.

It really is a gorgeous product.

The price is 82,29 euros, which is a lot.

If you're a makeup artist and you need to achieve a glossy and natural look, you need this in your kit.

And you also get this great cream contour shade. I think it's worth the money and I'll repurchase it.

The next one is the Cream Color Base by MAC, one of the first products I ever purchased at MAC.

I recently used it for the Montclair fashion show, where models had to look luminous and glacial.

It's a creamy product, a bit more pigmented than the Tom Ford's one and the finish is dewy.

My favourite colours are Pearl, for fair skins, Improper Copper, a golden peach for tanned skins,

and Bronze, for very dark skins. Here's the swatch.

The price is 22 euros but if you're a makeup artist you get 40% discount and it's a bargain.

I recommend them because the price is really good for the quality you get out of this product.

Let's move to the second category of products, which are the ones I use the most.

Powder highlighters give a sophisticated, glowy and natural effect both in person and photo.

If you're attending an event, you also need to look nice in person and you don't want layers of products.

I chose two highlighters that are buildable and allow to achieve the intensity desired.

They perfectly melt into the skin, so that you don't see the layer of product, but only a beautiful luminosity.

The first product is the Film Star Bronze and Glow by Charlotte Tilbury.

The texture is very thin and silky and this is the effect.

I also got the Medium Dark one, which I'm not using very often because the highlighter is a bit orange.

Here's the swatch.

It's definitely orange. The texture is great but I don't like the colour, although the bronzer is gorgeous.

The price is 65 euros and you can purchase it on the website, at Selfridges or online.

The next product is the Shade and Glow by NABLA, which you already know as I use them in all my videos.

Angel, Baby Glow and Jasmine are amazing, with a soft texture that melts into the skin.

The effect is radiant but natural, you don't get a stripe of pearl or colour on the cheek.

You can layer them, so if you like an intense effect you can add as much luminosity as you like.

The colours are gorgeous: Angel is perfect for fair skins, Baby Glow is great for tanned and medium skin tones

and Jasmine is ideal for Mediterranean, olive and dark skins.

I want to give you a sneak peek of a new gorgeous shade that will be released in summer.

It's called Obsexed and it's a champagne peach with a pink duo-chrome reflection.

Here's the swatch. You can see how beautiful the colour is.

The base is transparent but the reflection is peachy, it gives a plumped and lifted effect even without blush.

I can't wait for you to try it and to use it in a tutorial.

When I want a super strong highlighter, perfect for photos and videos, I go for the third category.

This is Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Sun Dipped, which I love.

It has four shades: Summer is the one I use the most and it's a champagne colour.

They're extremely luminous. I'll quickly show you also the other three shades.

What I love about this highlighters is that they're really shiny and full since the first swipe.

As soon as you apply it on the cheekbone you get a mirror-like effect.

The texture is very thin, so although they're very full and shiny they don't look heavy on the skin.

It's easy to create a very pearly highlighter that is thick on the skin, but this is not the case.

The colours are also beautiful and you can mix them to adapt to the different skin tones.

The price is 39 pounds if you purchase it on Anastasia Beverly Hills UK's website.

Or 40 dollars if you buy it on the American website.

The next one is the Highlighting Palette Solstice by Sleek.

It has four shades and the packaging is a bit cheap, I need to be careful because the mirror falls down.

In this palette you get three different formulas: cream-to-powder, which is too light and never use,

this one is pretty average, a bit gummy and the colour is a yellowish white.

And then we have the two highlighters to the right, which have a very unique texture.

It almost feels like plastic and they're extremely luminous.

I never use the lilac one because it's quite flat, but the champagne colour is to die for.

This last highlighter is worth the entire palette and I really suggest you to try it.

I got mine at Boots in England, but you can also buy it on Sleek's website.

I want to show it to you on the face.

It's like applying metal on the skin, the effect is very intense and a bit more difficult to work with.

If you're looking for a strong highlighter, this is the one for you.

The price is 12,49 euros on Sleek's website.

Another recent discovery is Puro Bio Resplendent Highlighter Glow Finish in the shade 01.

I showed it to you guys on Instagram Stories and it's gorgeous.

In comparison to the others, the texture is a bit thicker, but if you press it into the skin the effect is amazing.

I'll swatch it for you guys.

The colour is beautiful and it's not patchy, but it has a very strong and beautiful luminosity.

I'll show you the effect on the face.

You get immediate payoff.

It comes in three different shades: a light pink, which I don't love, the champagne one and a nice bronzed one.

This one is hands down my favourite shade.

The price is 8,90 euros for the refill version and 10,90 euros for the packaging version.

The fourth category consists of products that I use before makeup or mixed with foundation

to achieve a luminous, fresh and plumped skin.

They really change the appearance of your skin.

The first one is the Photo Finish Primer Oil by Smashbox, which I used in my last tutorial.

It's a beautiful product that you can mix with foundations for a lightweight and luminous effect,

or that you can use as a moisturizer before makeup for a dewy effect.

You can even mix it with a stick or heavy concealer to make it lighter and more pliable.

You just need to add a drop of this product and apply the mix on the skin.

Or you can mix it with powders and pigments. It's a versatile and beautiful product.

It's 50% primer and 50% oil, so it's not too greasy or oily and it's lightweight on the skin.

A little bit goes a long way and the effect is beautiful also on oily skins, you just need to powder the T zone.

The last product was a limited edition, so if you find it please let me know because mine is finishing.

It's the Belle de Teinte Liquid Glow Trio by Lancome made up of water, oil and pearl.

You need to shake it and you then apply it on face and body for a beautiful glow.

It gives a semi-wet effect thanks to the oil percentage.

I love to apply it on legs, arms, décolletage and to lightly dab it as a final step on the cheekbones.

The effect is gorgeous and natural, you won't get a mirror-like finish like this one on my cheeks.

It comes in three different shades and I really hope it will be back on the market because I love it.

The ones I use the most are the champagne and the bronzed one.

I often mix them together for skin tones similar to mine, in order to add a tanned look to the skin.

The price should be around 35 euros.

So these were my favourite products to achieve a super luminous and glowy complexion.

I don't know how many times I used the words glowy, luminous, wet, dewy and glossy in this video. Sorry!

Let me know if you like this kind of video and what you would like to see next.

Let me know also what your favourite highlighters are and what you would like to see in my next tutorials.

I can't wait to read your comments.

If you haven't already, please subscribe to my channel and give this video a thumbs up.

I send you a big kiss and I'll see you guys very soon!

4 Things That Will Change Your Life - Duration: 8:08.

Hello friends! Tiffany Dawn here and I am

filming here in Greece with the beach on

my left hand and our Airbnb on my right

hand -- it's pretty awesome, so...and today I

want to take a minute and share with you

four things that God has been teaching

me for the past few years now, and they

are just changing my life. Like every

year that goes by, the more I get these

things, the less fear I have, the less

shame and guilt I have, and the more my

heart is just at rest to just like enjoy

this adventure of life with my

Father-God. And so I want to share these four things

with you all today.

Number one: Sanctification is a slow

process. I actually started reading this

book called "Slow Church," and it talks

about how in the American culture we've

kind of taken these ideas of efficiency

and quickness and drive through fast

food and put it into the church, and just--

just be fast. Like here's 10 things you

do to get your life right and fixed

immediately, you know? And we forget that

sanctification and discipleship are a

slow and messy process. I'm always in a

process of sanctification -- becoming more

like Jesus, made more into the person God

wants me to be, and it's going to take

time. Sometimes we just are in such a

rush to get fixed and God's not in a

rush -- I really believe that. It's always

good to you know walk in a way that's

honoring to God - absolutely, and I think

it's great to constantly be growing and

learning, but at the end of the day like

don't be too hard on yourself,

I guess is what I'm trying to say. Like

it's okay to not be perfect; it's okay to

not be fixed, and to be messy. Like out of

our brokenness I really believe God is

glorified because there's this verse in

2nd Corinthians that says that in

earthen broken vessels the glory of God

can shine out of it. And coming to terms

with that and just embracing that

process -- that slow process of

imperfection, it just has been -- awesome.

All that frustration I tend to heap on

myself doesn't need to be there, and I

can just remind myself like -- this is a

slow process and it's okay for the

process of becoming more like Christ to

take a while; it's okay.

Number two is to look for the gifts hidden along your

journey. I like to think of life as like

a treasure hunt, kind of like an egg hunt

on Easter. Like there's all these little

gifts that God hides in every season of

our lives, like even every day of our

lives I think. And so even if it's a

terrible season full of a lot of hurt

and brokenness, there is some gift that

God has put there for us to find -- I

really believe that. And the darker the

season the more incredible and

life-changing the gift is, if we'll look

for it. And so it kind of puts a

different spin; it puts hope into every

situation, and it makes everyday life

feel like an adventure with Jesus.

Because it's like what's the gift does He have

for me today? My husband has started

asking me on days when I'm really

frustrated or just annoyed with how life

is going or regretting something I've

done, he's just like, "Have you found the

gift in it yet? What's the gift in it?" And

I love that. It just changes the

perspective on everyday life. A speaker

I heard one time said the reason that

gems and diamonds are displayed on black

cases is because the gem stands out all the

brighter. She said in dark times, look for

the diamonds -- like look for the treasure

God has hidden for you in that darkness.

And I think that has absolutely been true

in my life. In the darkest, hardest

seasons of my life, God has hidden

incredible treasures.

Number three, healing and freedom are

just by-products. The end goal of our life

journey is to come closer to God: to know

Him more and be known by Him and make

Him known; to love Him and be loved by

Him and love other people. Like that's

our goal, and a lot of times I think I've

gotten distracted by just looking for

freedom or healing from my struggles.

Like, "Jesus you need to set me free right

now; like I know you can, you're the God

of everything. Like I know you can set me

free so why haven't you? What am I doing

wrong? What do I need to be doing to

find freedom?" And I start searching for

the freedom instead of searching for my

God.

I think that healing and freedom when

God chooses to bring them in this life

are by-products. They come as a result of

seeking first the kingdom of God. There's

that beautiful verse in Matthew that

says seek first my kingdom and all these

things will be added to you, and I really

believe they're just by-products.

They're not meant to be our end goal -- the

thing that we're seeking. We're meant to

be seeking God, and as we seek Him those

things come in time -- in His time and when

He chooses to give them. And that brought

a lot of -- took a lot of pressure off of

me, from being like. "I have to get free

from this thing immediately," like with my

eating disorder, it was like, "Why have I

been struggling with this for five years

and I'm still not free? I need to be

free! I'm trying to find freedom!" And

eventually I learned like this is an

opportunity for God to do something in

my heart. There's a gift hidden in this

season and He could set me free in one

second if He chose to, but He's not --

so there's a reason for that. And so that

process of freedom which took time --

really as I started seeking Jesus in it,

it changed my life -- it changed my entire

world. Like I have a closer walk with God

after that journey than I ever would

have had if he had set me free in one

second.

And I think that's beautiful.

And the fourth and final piece is that you are

so loved. And I know a lot of us grew up

in church hearing like, "Jesus loves me

this I know for the Bible tells me so,"

but we don't always get it like for

ourselves -- like really deep down get it --

like your God delights in you! He's not

just tolerating you; He's not just

putting up with you; He's not just like,

"Clean up your mess already and get your

crap together and then come to me," no He

like delights in you -- in every detail of

your life. He wants to be a part of

it all. You have a God who wants to share

in each detail of your life -- who already

sees it all but He wants you to invite

him into your world -- your, your little, our

little worlds, you know? Like they're so

tiny compared to the hugeness of our

eternal God, and He wants us to invite

Him in to share those moments together.

I've spent a lot of my life and I still

do, trying to prove myself, trying to

prove that I'm a daughter God can be

proud of or that I pray long enough

prayers or read the Bible long enough or am a

good enough Christian. And one day I

remember God just putting in my heart

like, "Tiffany just be with me, like just

be with me, I just want you to be with me." No

matter what, my God delights in me and

He's not forgotten about me and I'm not

invisible to Him.

And I am not an accident; I was purposely

created by my Father Creator God. He sees

every detail -- there's nothing hidden from

Him. Even if I try to act like I've got it all

together, He sees everything and He loves me.

And my heart can rest in that because it

is unchanging. Literally, there's nothing

in this world unchanging except for

this: That your God loves you and delights

in you and will never stop. So I

hope that this can really encourage you

girls the way that these things have

really been life-changing for me. And the

more I learn them every day of my life,

every year that goes by, I learn them

more and it breaks away a little more of my fear, and it just kind of takes a

lot of pressure off that I put on myself.

So comment below thoughts that you have:

Which of these speaks the most to you?

Or if there's something God's been

teaching you that has been life-changing,

comment that below. I'd love to read it!

Thank you for being here with me today; I

love sharing Tuesdays with you all. And I

am actually home! I know I'm filming this

in Greece a few days before we head home,

but the day that you watch this will

actually be my first full day home in my

apartment in New York. So I'm very sad

and excited -- so both.

I really can't wait to sleep in my own

bed. And I'm going to make some travel

vlogs for you all! I have taken a

ridiculous amount of photos and video

footage and so I'm going to be putting

together some travel vlogs. So keep your

ears and your eyes out for those coming

in the next few weeks! Love you girls. Bye

from Greece!

HE DIED ALONE IN A NURSING HOME. NURSES THOUGHT HE HAD NOTHING OF VALUE UNTIL THEY SAW THIS! - Duration: 4:00.

However, when they started to clear out his room for future patients, one of the nurses

stumbled upon something amazing — a poem.

The nurse was so impressed with Filiser's poem that she made copies and sent them out

to every employee.

It was called "Cranky Old Man" and it goes a little something like this…

What do you see nurses?

What do you see?

What are you thinking…when you're looking at me?

A cranky old man…not very wise,

Uncertain of habit…with faraway eyes?

Who dribbles his food…and makes no reply.

When you say in a loud voice…I do wish you'd try!'

Who seems not to notice…the things that you do.

And forever is losing…A sock or shoe?

Who, resisting or not…lets you do as you will,

With bathing and feeding…The long day to fill?

Is that what you're thinking?

Is that what you see?

Then open your eyes, nurse…you're not looking at me.

I'll tell you who I am . . . . .. As I sit here so still,

As I do at your bidding…as I eat at your will.I'm a small child of Ten…with a father

and mother,Brothers and sisters…who love one another

A young boy of Sixteen…with wings on his feet

Dreaming that soon now…a lover he'll meet.

A groom soon at Twenty…my heart gives a leap.

Remembering, the vows…that I promised to keep.

At Twenty-Five, now…I have young of my own.

Who need me to guide…And a secure happy home.

A man of Thirty…My young now grown fast,

Bound to each other…With ties that should last.

At Forty, my young sons…have grown and are gone,

But my woman is beside me…to see I don't mourn.

At Fifty, once more…Babies play 'round my knee,

Again, we know children…My loved one and me.

Dark days are upon me…My wife is now dead.I look at the future…I shudder with dread. For

my young are all rearing…young of their own.

And I think of the years…And the love that I've known.

I'm now an old man…and nature is cruel.

It's jest to make old age…look like a fool.

The body, it crumbles…grace and vigor, depart.

There is now a stone…where I once had a heart.

But inside this old carcass a young man still dwells,

And now and again…my battered heart swells

I remember the joys…I remember the pain.

And I'm loving and living…life over again.

I think of the years, all too few…gone too fast.

And accept the stark fact…that nothing can last.

So open your eyes, people…open and see.

Not a cranky old man.

Look closer…see…ME!!

Tutorial - Thank You Greeting Card - Duration: 4:24.

Hi! I'm Susana from Pink&Fun

and today I will make a greeting card

using some of the materials that Rita sent to me

and I showed you in the previous video

So to the card base

I've cut cardstock with 17 cm x 12 cm

and I've scored it at 8.5 cm

I will fold from the score line

and set aside

Now, I will choose the patterned paper

and cut them in the needed measures

I cut one with 11,5 cm x 8 cm

and I'll stick it to the card

I cut the other with 11 cm x 7,5 cm

it will be to paste here

but before

I will use this stamp from Lilipop

and the embossing tools:

the heat gun,

the VersaMark ink

and the embossing powder

in this case, I will use the white

I will also use an A4 sheet folded in half

to put the powder back in the container easily

after use

So, I'll apply the ink

and stamp

The VersaMark is a special ink

that will grab the powder to melt

It can be replaced by slow drying inks

but it is better to talk about this in another video

I will apply the embossing powder

and gently remove any excess

To melt the powder, I use the heat gun

I will turn it on

allow to warm

and put over what I want to melt

for a few seconds

The paper shoud have more weight

than this I am using

to not wrinkle with the heat

I've cut some fun foam with 11 cm x 7.5 cm

that I'll adhere to the main panel with double-sided tape

and then to the card

I will die cut two hearts from this set

using the Sizzix Big Shot

one in white carsdstock and the other in patterned paper

I will paste one over the other

and apply to the card

Now, to embellish, I will choose a sticker

It will be one of these bows

that I fall in love at first sight

And here's my card

I hope you enjoyed,

thank you for watching

Kisses and see you next video

Expociencia 2017 | SimplyScience by Kristie Tanner - Duration: 10:15.

Hello Science Lovers! Today we are going to talk about Expociencia.

Expociencia is an open doors day that takes place

every year in the Scientific Park of the University of Valencia.

And today, Saturday the 27th of May is this year's edition.

So, we are going to take a look at what the kids are doing

and, also, we are going to talk to the organisers of each activity to see

what they do in the lab and what they have organised for the children today,

and what they hope that the children will learn from these activities.

So I hope you enjoy this video. It's a little bit different but

hopefully we will leard a bit more of science in a very fun way.

Hi, my name is Maria Muñoz

and I'm doing my PhD thesis in Evolutionary Genetics.

Hello everybody, my name is Mariana Reyes I work in the evolutionary genomics group.

The main goal of my thesis is to analyse the symbiotic relationship

between Blatella germanica and it's endosymbiont Blatabacterium.

Our hypothesis is that their relationship is

mainly because they exchange molecules between both organisms

in a way that both receive a direct benefit from this relationship.

What I do is work with different bacteria inside of insects

which are called endosymbionts because they live inside of the insects.

And we are actually working on reduced

genomes of these bacteria.

So these bacteria, when they become endosymbiotic,

which is that they start living another life inside of the insect,

they become dependant and they reduce their genetic information.

So this makes really good models to find out which genes are super essential

for life, and also are really good models for genetic engineering.

For these studies we use genetic analysis and that is why

in Expociencia our activity is about teaching the children

basic genetic techniques.

To do so, the children have to solve a mystery.

This mystery is about the murder of a lab colleague

and we have to figure our which of the colleagues that were all present at the time of the murder

is guilty.

So we have a list of suspects and we analyse two genes

so that we can eliminate the innocent colleagues and that way find the murderer.

So with Expociencia what we want is that

the children can see that there is a lot of different things you can focus on with science.

In our activity,

what we want is for people to see that there is a lot of methods

different methods, to get to a conclusion based on the scientific facts.

We use a lot of techniques that are normally used in the lab

there not hard, it's easy, it's fun so people can see that it's not as difficult as you see in the movies.

Hello, I'm Tania Rosas and I work in

the laboratory of evolutionary genetics.

And I am working studying the gut microbiota of

some caterpillars. These caterpillars are named

Brithys crini and they are very interesting because

they feed exclusively on a toxic plant.

So we are trying to figure out what's the role of the bacteria of the gut

to digest these toxins in the guts.

So we are trying to reconstruct the metabolic pathways

of these bacteria to see

if they are capable of degrading these toxins

or what are their roles in the gut of the caterpillars.

So in Expociencia we are going to make these plastic caterpillars

because we want to introduce the kids with

the morphology of these interesting insects.

And we are using straws with different colours to

make these moving caterpillars so they can relate to the real anatomy of the insects in the nature.

My name is Mariano Collantes.

I'm a PhD student in the Integrative Institute for Systems Biology.

I'm doing my PhD in Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology.

In our lab we work with aphids, which are insects

that are agricultural pests, and we use them as models

to understand biological rhythms: circadian rhythms and annual rhythms.

And we also study their interactions with ants and other animals.

We study their genetic information to understand which are the genes that switch on

and switch off in summer and winter, at day time or night time.

For Expociencia we have prepared an acitivty to teach the different species

of the insects with which we work.

We also have anthills in which we can observe the interaction between

aphids and ants.

The way in which they interact.

We also have stereo microscopes and microscopes to amplify

the insects and to be able to see

them in a bigger size in order to identify their parts

so that we can observe their behaviour and their physiology.

They are organisms that reproduce very rapidly so

we can also see live how new aphids are born.

I think that what people will enjoy most about this activity

is first of all, to get to know this important agricultural pest

that, in spite of it's importance, is very unknown.

And also to learn how we study the different ways to control

these agricultural pests, either to eradicate them or also to understand them.

The Yeast Biotechnology group in the Integrative Institute of Systems Biology

is focused on studying

and improving the functioning of wine yeasts.

For this, we investigate the molecular mechanisms that are associated

with the response to oxidative stress and aging.

We know that these two mechanisms are very important for

the correct functioning of yeast in all the industrial processes related to the elaboration of wine.

We study these molecular mechanisms either through classical strategies

based on specific genes,

but mainly in the last few years with global approximations.

We do transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic studies

which allow us to draw a complex net of interactions

that explain why yeasts have functioning problems

and mainly, what is more important to us, show us targets,

both genetic targets and process targets, that

can be improved from a biotechnological point of view

through genetic engineering or through selection of suitable strains,

as well as from a purely technological point of view, with strategies

to obtain yeast with higher efficiencies, higher longevities

and better responses to all the stresses that are typical of industrial processes.

We have prepared an activity

that aims at showing the children

cellular activities that are difficult to explain with microscopic and molecular concepts.

We show them how an activity, the catalase, which has an important role in the response to oxidative stress,

is able to decompose a toxic compound, in this case hydrogen peroxide,

liberating a large amount of oxygen.

So that this can be seen in a fun way,

we have created a yeast volcano where we mix yeast with hydrogen peroxide

in the presence of a colorant, so that all of the generated oxygen

can generate a red foam that looks like lava coming out of a volcano.

Hi, this is Manuel Porcar from the Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology group.

We basically work on applied microbiology, so

we try to explore new either natural or artificial

microbial niches, from which we identify bacteria

that might have biotechnological applications.

Here in Expociencia what we are doing is just showing the bacterial diversity to kids.

So we are showing how they can put their hands on Petri dishes and

a lot of microbial diversity is going to explode there.

They can write their name with yeasts, they can take home the plates in order to have these

dishes revealing their names in yeast.

And, we are also just making some bacteria with playdough.

And that's basically just to give them and idea of the

huge microbial diversity we have in this Planet.

Did you like our Amnesia CBD?

Then get more information on our website

and leave your comments below.

Thanks for having the Dinafem Girls.

And remember that we´ll be waiting for you

on our Social Media.

See you there!
