Garmin Forerunner 935: EPOC and Training Load - Duration: 2:53.

Hi, I'm Joe from Garmin.

Select Garmin devices, have a new feature called Training Load.

In this video, we are going to discuss how it is measured and what it means.

The foundation of training load and many other Garmin Firstbeat features is a concept called EPOC.

E-P-O-C refers to

excess post-exercise oxygen consumption,

and it is the heart of how Garmin evaluates your

running, riding, swimming, or other exercise.

EPOC is sometimes referred to as the "after burn" of exercise.

It is a good measure of the amount of energy your body must expend to recover.

Previously, to measure EPOC effectively,

you needed time and sophisticated lab equipment.

Now Firstbeat has developed a method for predicting EPOC

during exercise using your heart rate information.

To give you an idea of what EPOC values look like,

a 45-minute run at 75 % of maximum heart rate results in an EPOC value of about 50.

For very light exercise efforts, less than 65 % of maximum heart rate,

EPOC accumulates very slowly, but at high intensities it shoots up quickly.

In fact, it is possible in only 15 minutes of moderately hard exercise

to get higher EPOC than from a whole hour of light effort.

Of course, there is a place for both kinds of exercise in a well-rounded training plan.

Since EPOC is a great quantitative measure of exercise,

it is also an appropriate way to look at overall training load.

Garmin's new training load feature shows you how hard you have been working

by giving you the sum of your estimated EPOC for the last 7 days of training.

You can see your training load on your compatible Garmin device or on Garmin Connect,

where it is also plotted over time.

This feature also shows if your recent training load has been within your "optimal range"

where you can expect to maintain or improve your fitness without overdoing it.

The optimal training load range is shown as a band on compatible Garmin products

and on Garmin Connect.

But how is your optimal training load range determined?

Firstbeat, a leader in physiological analytics for sports,

has a new algorithm that examines your current training and your training history and fitness level.

This data determines the optimal training load range for you.

That means, as your fitness level and training habits change,

your recommended optimal training load will also change.

Now that you know all about EPOC and how your training load is calculated,

you can keep an eye on it and stay in your personal "sweet spot".

For more information about physiological metrics and how to use them to your advantage,

check out the other videos in this series.

The power of vacuum! Experiments and experiments for children! - Duration: 3:02.

Hello.

In this video, I want to conduct a simple physical experiment.

It will be called - Vacuum in a glass.

The main part of the experiment is any smooth surface.

For example, a glass or a mirror.

I just took a shelf from the fridge.

The main purpose of the experiment: to check whether the glass can raise the glass?

You need to cook.

Glass, glass, matches, napkins and water.

First you need to take one napkin and place it in the middle of the glass.

This napkin needs to be wetted.

Now you need to crush the second napkin and put the center of a wet napkin.

We set it on and cover it with a glass.

It is necessary to press the glass tightly against the glass.

Now we need to raise our design.

We will complicate the task and add some weight.

I think it turned out very cool.

I did not think that I could raise it when there were 2 glasses of water on the glass.

The experiment can be explained very simply.

When the paper burns in the glass, oxygen is consumed and a vacuum begins to form.

At the same time, the atmospheric pressure inside the glass falls.

As a result, the glass is attracted to the glass.

The same principle of action in vacuum suckers.

To move and install mirrors and glasses.

Of these, air is also pumped to form a vacuum.

I send greetings to everyone who writes me comments.

Thank you very much for your support.

And for today everything. All for now.

And see you in the new video.

【MUKBANG】 10 FamilyMart's Family Chicken On Rice With Various Toppings! 5Kg 7400kcal [CC Available] - Duration: 6:21.

Hello its Kinoshita Yuka (Eng subs by ~Aphexx~) (Font size+color is controlled 100% by you)

so today! Tadaa I bought 10 packs of Family Mart's 'Kuromaku' Family Chicken bowls

wow the packaging has a very powerful look about it

each of these has quite the calories

they say about 740kcal

and when you open the lid it looks like this inside with rice and the food in separate compartments

cooked cabbage, the 'Family Chicken' and tartar sauce

you take these and pile them onto the rice

oooh.. it was actually pretty easy

oh wow they made it rather easy to make this

K, so it will end up looking like this ~so delish lookin'~

I weighed it with the bowl but it turned out to be 400g

so with all 10 its roughly.... 4kg

I also made 1kg of miso soup itadakimasu

I love 'Family chicken' so much I can't wait

"since the tartar sauce is covered in chicken its gonna be delish" "since the chicken is covered in tartar sauce its gonna be delish"

looks yummy

so first off will be the 'family chicken'

the chicken already has some sweet sauce soaked into it and then its covered with tartar sauce

its basically a chicken nanban

a chicken nanban version made by family mart

this curry flavored cooked cabbage goes so nicely with rice

and the curry flavor also goes so nicely with the tartar sauce which is another yummy level of flavor

the cooked cabbage brings out its sweetness ~so delish~

all done lol I just inhaled it didn't I

so I was thinkin'

I'd break out some spices that you'd find around the house pepper, sansho pepper, ichimi pepper and ra-yu oil

I really love ichimi spice ~am I starting to really love spicy foods now?~

that ichimi flavor really stimulates your appetite

next up is ra-yu sesame chili oil

just looking at the colors it looks like they'd go together nicely

a heat that hits you with a nice richness that makes it taste so much better

ra-yu is delish

next up is black pepper these family chickens are probably already

flavored with pepper already I'm just adding to the flavors already there? maybe?

oh but black pepper is tasty

next up I'll try some sansho spice sansho us usually used on unagi eels and the like

well if you're already a fan of sansho spice you might enjoy this?

next I'll try adding lemon

I feel as though chicken and lemon would go well together

mmmm I think it matches well with the tartar sauce

and tartar is already made with lemon isn't it it really amps up the flavors of the tartar

and really freshens up the flavors

last one

all the spices and toppings were pretty good

but Ra-yu oil might have been the best tasting

last mouthful itadakimasu

all done gochisosamadeshita

Family Mart's black~

black~ .... omg its so tough to pronounce

this 'kuromaku' bowl by Family mart was so delish

Family Marts spicy chicken is always so delish

it was made better with the tartar sauce and and those veggies flavored with curry spice

tasted great with the chicken and I also tried adding a bunch of other spices

I really liked it with pepper and lemon and well.... the ichimi and sansho spice were alright

they were all tasty nonetheless but for me the Ra-yu gave it a nice significant boost in flavor

I believe this chicken bowl sold by Family Mart is sold for only a limited time so please if you are at

all curious please give it a try and as always thanks for watching and if you liked this

video please hit the like and subscribe buttons BAI BAI

Today millions of people worldwide are overweight and in order to lose the extra weight they

are following various diet regimens, drink natural potions which are specially created

to shred the extra fat or exercise on regular basis.

Despite the fact that these methods are efficient, it would be really great to lose weight without

any additional effort, right?

Well, that may sounds impossible, but in order to lose weight all you should do is to change

your habits.

So, what is the secret?

You should walk more.how many steps to burn 1 calorie

But, can you lose weight just by walking?

The answer is YES.

Read on and find out how many steps a day you need to do in order to lose weight.

How much calories you burn while walking depends on two factors:

Walking area Body Weight

If you walk for 1 hour with an average speed of 4 mph (miles per hour) your body will burn

400 calories.

To be more precise, you need to make 2,000 steps in order to burn 100 calories and that

is about 1 mile of walking.

Namely, in order to lose 1 pound you need to burn 3,500 calories.

Health experts and nutritionists explain that the healthiest way to lose weight and not

have the yo-yo effect is to lose 1 pound in period of one week.

That means you should burn 500 calories in a day or in other words, you should walk 5

miles on a daily basis.

Simple as that!

In order to lose the extra weight you should change few of your habits.

Useful Tips on How to Walk More

Always walk you kids to their school; Don't use the bus; Try to walk to your home

or to your workplace; Use the stairs instead the elevator;

If you have to use your car it is advisable to park it a little further so you can walk

to the destination; Walk to the station or to the subway, instead

of using taxi or bus.

How Often Should You Walk to Lose Weight?

If you don't walk often you should start with 15–20 minutes of walking during the

first 3 days in order to adjust to your new routine.

Few days later, when you feel ready you should gradually increase the time to 30 minutes

up to 1 hour per a day.

Over time the walking will become a routine for you and you will lose weight without doing

something about it.

Try to walk every day and make as many steps as you can.

Over time you will feel much better and the numbers on the scale will change.

There are many scientific studies which have proved that you can lose weight simply by

SKF - A Neverending Story - Duration: 7:07.

Everywhere you turn, things are turning around you.

Spinning. Rotating. Take a look.

Imagine how many billions of rotating machines are at work.

In factories and homes, on the roads, in the fields and in the air.

We all know that where there's rotation, there's friction.

Causing wear and tear, breaking shafts and wheels and wasting resources.

But at the same time, creating energy in a variety of ways.

So the secret is knowing how to use that friction to your advantage.

The way to do that is to know the machines inside and out.

And to understand what industry's challenges are now

and anticipate what they'll be 10 years from now.

As we undergo a new industrial revolution

and technology moves ahead at lightning speed,

one thing will never change.

The need to minimize friction.

That's what we've done for more than a century and what we'll continue to do.

It's a neverending story.

Many see a bearing as just a standard machine element, a commodity.

But it can be so much more.

It's a critical component that is becoming increasingly smarter,

able to tell a lot about the condition of a machine.

A bearing is dependent on a robust design

and on the seals and lubrication surrounding it.

Our design was born from a dedication to technology research and development

across all industries.

That R&D is twofold: covering material science and product development

and manufacturing processes and technology.

This is what we call application-driven innovation.

Understanding that each industry has different needs,

each customer its unique demands,

is what keeps technology leaders in the lead.

For instance, wheel bearing units used in millions of cars

have completely different demands

than aeroengine and gearbox bearings used in aerospace.

But each of these industries is calling for lightweight products

that produce less friction.

Product development across SKF is actively working to meet those needs.

There is also a call for better predictability of machine performance.

Innovative technology like self-powered wireless sensors

connected to the bearing can provide instant condition monitoring data

from a wind turbine or a train.

Making predictability a fact.

R&D doesn't only happen in the lab.

By examining our own manufacturing processes,

developing and testing new technologies in our factories,

we can take what we have learned and put it into practice.

The Industry 4.0 revolution to digitalized and automated factories

has already begun at SKF.

A task like altering a machine setting that could once take hours

is now possible in seconds with smart robotics.

A more efficient and flexible factory will help keep costs down

while driving performance up.

It's that simple.

In any industry, maximizing on machine uptime is a must.

For process industries like paper mills and mines,

unplanned stops are catastrophic.

Not just a headache but a major cost.

The same goes for wind and ocean power operators,

and their turbines are often situated in remote, harsh environments

that demand extra control.

Unnecessary extra costs don't only come from breakdowns.

Many industries still perform reactive or interval maintenance.

But why change a bearing or grease after a year

just because the schedule says so?

Predictive maintenance is helping industry be smarter and more efficient.

That starts with Remote Monitoring and diagnostics of critical machinery.

Vibration, load, temperature and speed say a lot about a rotating machine.

This data can be used to plan maintenance,

along with lubrication systems that ensure the right lubricant is provided

in the right quantity at the right time.

Analytics used in the right way can cut downtime and costs

at all types of operations - big and small.

This data is not only critical to those who own the rotating machinery,

but to all of us who perform the maintenance

and design the products inside.

By getting the machine insight, we can work side-by-side with customers

early in the design process to make improvements.

Those building trucks for the mining industry need robustness,

while those designing and producing agricultural equipment

demand availability.

And of course, they all expect less friction.

Our job as a facilitator is to know which option is best

because the type of function and performance expected from one machine

may be drastically different from another.

That job is also knowing whether it's best to use a new part

when it's time for replacement, or a remanufactured one.

The process of rebuilding old spindles, gearboxes and bearings

is so advanced today that often these parts become as good as new or better.

Whatever the service or solution -

wherever it's offered - however it's used -

it's important to know the role it plays in the big picture.

There are over one billion cars on the roads today.

An SKF wheel bearing unit can reduce friction by up to 20%

compared to standard units.

And transportation is just one sector.

If there was just a little less friction and less weight

in all we designed and built, imagine the possibilities.

We are truly everywhere.

And that's never going to change.

Because everything around us will keep turning.

- Spinning. - Rotating.

We are creating a world of reliable rotation

so our crusade against friction and weight continues.

That work will never be done.

- Will never be done. - Will never be done.

It's a neverending story.

MOM BUYS HER BABY A TOY, THEN NOTICES A SYMBOL ON IT. THIS IS WHAT THE SICKENING SYMBOL MEANS.. - Duration: 2:12.

Nicole recently took her two kids to the Monster Jam car show in Syracuse, New York.

Before they left the arena, Nicole bought a pink stuffed toy truck for her 2-year-old

daughter.

On top of the toy are three printed symbols — one of which is a heart placed inside

of another heart.

Innocent enough, right?

Wrong.

The symbol's dark double meaning left Nicole, and now parents all over the country, shocked

and appalled.

Nicole's sister, who had watched an episode of "Law and Order: SVU" featuring this

so-called "Girl Lover" insignia, told Nicole the horrifying truth.

Some experts say the heart symbol is used by pedophiles so they can secretly communicate

with each other.

Apparently, when a pedophile sees a child with the heart symbol, it's code for "this

child is ready to be traded for sex."

Now, the company that sold the toy truck claims they are pulling it from the shelves.

According to Snopes.com, imagery similar to the symbol doesn't necessarily pose any

risk to children by itself.

It's also currently unknown how the symbol came to appear on the Monster Jam toy, or

the value of the symbol to pedophiles in general.

Even still, this is definitely something of which all parents should be aware.

Many parents are only learning of this sickening "Girl Lover" symbolism now, because of

Nicole's story.

Please SHARE it with your friends on Facebook, and help spread this extremely alarming information.

Stand by Farm [Amazing Shibuya by walk #9] - Duration: 5:36.

Hi guys! We're back for Amazing Shibuya by walk

Today we are in a restaurant

called Stand by farm

Basically it's a restaurant that has a sort of

partnership with a farm so every day

you got fresh vegetables from

yesterday's crops so they harvest

in their farm and they send it directly to

the restaurant so it's always fresh

always good and so basically here

it's famous for a big plate of vegetables

it changes day by day

because it really depends on the supplies

you have other foods you can get like curry or

whatever because it changes a lot but

if you don't like vegetables you can also

come for other food but I will really

recommend the vegan plate so if

you're vegan is, I bet

a good good good place to go

The atmosphere is so nice

I really like it

You have two options

the plate of vegetables or

Keema curry, a kind of curry

Phad Bai, pancakes...

So you can choose but

the famous thing is here

it's the vegetables from the farm

And here they explain what is good inside

which vitamin it brings to your body and stuff like that

First, they bring a sort of smoothie gonna

kind of detox one

with kale, the cabbage

lime and apple

Delicious

It looks like apple juice

Indeed

it's like apple juice and you can feel

a bit like, it's a little bit sour

because of the lime I guess

and you can feel the kale inside

Feels healthy

I'm starving

It looks so good

It's salad, carrot, mushrooms

some onion and bread

potatoes

Itadakimasu

So good

The vegetables are just grilled

so it's very healthy

Amazing guys

Shinji took bacon avocado pancakes

with a soft boiled egg on top

It looks so good

and mustard sauce

Yummy

Do the pancakes taste like vegetables?

Not that much

Just the smell, a bit

Keema curry

Minced meat curry

Which country is it from?

India

Doooone

How was it?

Tt's actually quite light so

you feel full but not that full

it's a pretty good feeling

Actually Japanese people think you should be full at 70%

and not 100% because after

you feel sleepy you don't feel like working

you're just too lazy so

it's not good for the body

so this is the perfect meal for 70% fullness

We ordered a cheesecake to finish with

Look how it's cute

One of the best [cheesecake]

This is my coffee

they bring this super little cutie

It was very good we just finished eating

we got a free smoothie

it's so healthy I would

definitely recommend to you guys to come

here if you just want to eat something

different from ramen or other heavy

food you can get in Japan

it's also very cheap because the plate is only 1000 yens

roughly US$9-10

so really it's cheap, it's good

I think it's the best things you can get in Shibuya

Thank you for watching and see you in the next video!

Why Broken Vessels in the Face can be Treated by More than One Type of Machine - Duration: 9:59.

Thank you for your question.

You submitted a question without a photo and essentially you're asking in your question

that you're concerned about vessels on the face and that you want to find a place that

has good machines and you are considering IPL.

And you want to make sure that the place has good machines.

Well, I can certainly give you some guidance on how to make this type of decision for laser

treatment for vessels on the face.

It's a problem that we deal with in our practice as part of the many services we offer.

A little bit of background, I'm a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial

plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

I have been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years.

In both of my offices, we have a range of thermal energy devices, lasers and pulsed

light devices amongst many other technologies for various medispa type treatments for problems

such as vessels on the face.

So what you are certainly focused on is the machine and I think that it's important

to not focus on the machine but rather focus on the practitioner and I'll explain further.

The industry of lasers and devices is very strategic in creating consumer demand and

interest.

It is very much out of the same playbook as the pharmaceutical companies.

They bring to the consumer the type of flashy new products that they message to the point

where it becomes a brand name and then people start asking their doctors if they have that

machine.

So the star of the show is actually the machine.

Now, these devices evolved over years and the principles still are critically important.

So from my perspective and in terms of the devices I use, in our office, we've had

many generations of IPL or pulsed light machines.

And IPL stands for intense pulse light and what it means is that there are multiple wavelengths

that can be selected through filters that when applied to the skin, with certain protocols

such as cooling the skin etc., you deliver a certain amount of energy into the skin.

And the goal is, the target, is the blood vessel.

Specifically, it's the blood or the hemoglobin in the blood.

And so when you understand that principle, well, there's a wide array of choices that

can serve this particular purpose.

So how does one decide what is the best choice?

Well, I would say that, in our practice, we regularly, like computers, we upgrade our

devices.

The devices become more efficient and become more advanced in terms of protocol.

So when you think about, from my experience, IPL, the multiple wavelengths and the challenge

being selective, for me, it puts IPL as a second to different lasers that we have in

our practice.

And there are lasers that, such as the 1064 YAG laser that is a wavelength but it has,

between several devices, we can use it in so many ways.

And from my perspective, the goal is to make sure that the minimal amount of energy or

heat is delivered to the skin, the maximal amount of absorption occurs and the risks

of any unnecessary redness and inflammation is minimized.

And at the same time, we want to get great results and we want to maximize safety.

That being said, there is a lot of judgement.

Although there are standard protocols which are starting points when using these devices,

experienced physicians are able to work with those protocols because we realize that of

course, there's a wide range of practitioners particularly in the state of New York where

there is no specific licensure that limits who can do lasers.

So everybody from non-physicians to physicians perform laser procedures.

However, I would argue that the experienced physician understands the physiology and the

principle so that they can be a little bit more adept and flexible.

Now of course, experience is critically important and I'm not saying all non-physicians are

not capable.

But I would say that when you are doing your research, don't just focus on the machine

and I would say, be evaluated by a physician, a physician who performs these procedures

who will be very much involved in your treatment.

I think that's really important.

I think that we understate the significance of these medical devices and because there

are all of these strip mall medispas around that people don't take the technology of

laser and the impact on the skin as seriously.

Plus, I find that when we see a lot of patients, they are often frustrated because they feel

like they bought packages and didn't quite get what they wanted.

Well, here's a basic principle about vessels that you have to understand.

Vessels, when they are treated, can respond by closing and diminishing or they can respond

by creating more vessels.

And so typically, a protocol that involves treating vessels can include a protocol where

a person comes in once a month for several sessions until we reach a certain plateau

and comes in periodically, let's say, every six months or so for some kind of maintenance.

That is management.

So I think it's imperative that the physician has the state of the art technology but I

think it's also very important for the individual, for the person who is looking for treatment,

to really find a physician to provide the guidance as to what is optimal for them.

We have a lot of options and we certainly want to use really good judgement to get the

best results and to be able to have the dialogue where the patient understands what the limitations

are.

And certainly, there are a lot of choices.

There's everything from pulse light, different wavelengths of lasers.

There's even just traditional electrocautery using a wire of radiofrequency that can also

do the same or accomplish a similar result.

Again, the goal is to make it as comfortable and as safe and as predictable and optimal

for every patient.

So I tend to, instead of jumping on the world IPL because there are many different IPL devices,

but meet with a doctor who can give you guidance on what would work best for you.

So I hope that was helpful, I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.
