Youtube daily report w Dec 26 2017

At some point during your childhood, you were probably told not to go out in cold weather

with wet hair, or without bundling up, because "you'll catch a cold."

But we know the common cold is caused by viruses, not chilly air.

So why does this old wives' tale hang around?

It's probably because colds are more common in colder weather.

But as far as scientists can tell, that's not because you feel cold.

There are lots of better explanations for why colder weather increases your odds of

getting sick.

The connection between temperature and illness isn't simple.

Even though colds and other respiratory illnesses are more common in colder months, not all

of them spike in the dead of winter, when it's coldest.

And the most direct studies we've done haven't found a relationship between feeling cold

and catching a cold.

For example, in a randomized controlled trial published in 1958, researchers divided nearly

400 people into rooms that were either 27 degrees, 16 degrees, or -12 degrees Celsius.

Then they put virus-infected mucus up some of their nostrils.

But the temperature didn't make a difference — in every room, just over a third of the

volunteers that received the infected mucus got sick.

One study from 2005 did find that people who had their feet soaked in freezing cold water

reported more cold symptoms in the days afterward compared to a control group.

But it's hard to tell how much of that was influenced by subjects thinking they'd

be more likely to get a cold.

If feeling cold really does make you more likely to get sick, there are a couple of

ideas that might explain it.

One hypothesis argues that even though the cold doesn't weaken your immune system overall,

it might lower the defenses in your respiratory system, specifically.

And in a paper published in 2016 in the journal Medical Hypotheses, a microbiologist suggested

that viruses lie dormant for extended periods of time in our bodies, then get activated

when the temperature drops.

But there are lots of problems with those ideas.

And the vast majority of research shows that simply being cold doesn't

make you more vulnerable to catching colds.

Instead, there are other aspects of cold weather that might increase your chances of getting

sick.

Like the fact that the air is super dry.

Colder weather is associated with lower humidity, because at lower temperatures, the air can't

hold as much water.

When humidity is high, the droplets of virus-infected grossness we breathe out or sneeze out or

cough out of our bodies stay large and drop to the floor relatively quickly.

But in dry air, they break up into smaller particles and can float around for hours.

Plus, the lack of moisture can dry out the mucus lining in your nose, which might make

it easier for viruses to get past that line of defense.

Another potential problem is that some people don't get enough sunlight in the winter,

making them run low on vitamin D. Since vitamin D helps power your immune system, lower levels

mean lower defenses against viruses.

And then there's the fact that human behavior changes during colder months.

We're more likely to stay indoors, which means we're more frequently touching stuff

infected people touched, and breathing in the remnants of their sneezes.

[deep breath]

Mmmm…

So, researchers are still trying to pin down all the different ways cold weather may or

may not affect how likely you are to catch a cold.

But the best way to avoid catching one isn't necessarily by throwing on another layer,

or drying your hair before running out the door.

It's washing your hands with soap, not touching your face with unwashed hands, and staying

away from people you know are infected.

Kingkong LDARC ET125 Review Flugtest Monster Whoop - Duration: 5:26.

And here the big Whoop of the King Kong LDARC ET125 with a 125 mm diagonal.

Delivered in a large suitcase with 550mAh lipo, spare propellers and a USB cable.

The propellers are almost 3 inches 2840 and are powered by powerful XT1104 7500KV motors.

Too bad that here the camera angle is not adjustable.

Compared to the ET100, the ET125 is significantly larger and heavier.

The ET125 is more suitable for outdoor or for a large hall, underground car park.

Too bad that the ET125 only has a red JST plug.

It's definitely worth converting to XT30 to get the full power from the battery.

The build is identical to the ET100. Below is the video transmitter.

Motors are the Sunnysky 1104 with 7500KV suitable for 2 and 3S Lipo.

The canopy is attached with 3 screws and must be opened to connect the Pico BLX via USB to PC.

I have a FrSky XM receiver.

When opening, the FPV antenna must be pressed down.

Please fix directly the Pico BLX for DSHOT600.

Here a cable from M1 to PPM is soldered.

The ET125 weighs 93 grams and with the battery 128 grams.

He is 17x17 cm big.

The FC is with Betaflight 3.1.6 and can be upgraded to 3.2.2.

Simply choose FF_PICOBLX under Betaflight.

I fly the ET125 with my Taranis X9D SE and Fatshark HD3 goggles.

With the 550mAh battery, the ET125 is flying quite well.

If you use a 3S Lipo there is a lot of power.

Please upgrade to XT30 plug and use the Tattu 650mAh 3S Lipo.

The flight characteristics are top of the Kingkong ET125, even with the standard PID values.

The propellers do not shake and everything fills up well.

I miss here an FPV camera with OSD, but you can use a telemetry

receiver like the R-XSR so all data will be transferred to the Taranis transmitter and at low voltage a warning can be given by voice.

Even better, the CMOS FPV camera is replace with a Runcam micro Swift to give the video even more sharpness and contrast.

In any case, there is enough space under the canopy for such a CCD camera with an angle adjustment.

The Story of Nadia Comaneci, Gymnastics' Perfect 10 Icon | Legends Live On - Duration: 26:04.

It's been 40 years since the perfect 10.

The first time in the history of the sport, a perfect 10.

You're just in awe, you want to replicate the exact same thing

but it is very difficult and that's why

she's the only one that has gotten it.

You have to give Nadia a tremendous amount of the credit

for the boom of American female gymnastics.

It was heroic, what she did,

and the risks that she took.

By the time when I got to defect,

I think that was the only time in my adult life

when I had no fear.

(LEGENDS LIVE ON: NADIA COMĂNECI)

I don't think that kids have any fear.

I used to climb trees a lot

and I was going to the highest tree and everybody around me

was, "You can't go there because you may fall,"

and I wanted to go there because I just felt

that it was exciting,

and when I entered the gym for the first time in my life,

I thought this is the place

where I could do things that makes me feel good.

Béla Károlyi and Márta were my coaches at the Olympics.

I've worked with them since I remember,

when I was six, seven years old

and I always say that my success happened

because Béla and Márta were coaching

at that particular time

and it was just a happy triangle that connected us.

I went out in the kindergarten elementary school

to recruit young athletes for my gymnastic group.

"Hey, who can do a cartwheel?"

Two little girls from behind, way behind in the class,

"Yeah, we do, like to see it?"

These are the ones. I said, "Tell your mummy

"we want to talk to you about gymnastics,

"to being involved in the gymnastic programme."

"Yes, yes, we are going to be there, OK, OK."

And that was the first time I see Nadia.

Physically she was very gifted of strength, agility, endurance

and not quite that much flexibility,

which we had to work constant on that one,

to make the skills with big amplitude.

The way she responded, the way I said, "10 push-ups,"

she made 15 push-ups.

I said, "Where is this strength coming from, honey?

"I made that 10."

"Yeah, but I want to do better," up, up, up.

Unbelievable. I said, "Yes, now that's the type of kid,

"the one I dream to have."

(NORMAN, OKLAHOMA)

Hello. Hi, guys.

Can we stick our nose in here and see how you guys are doing?

Not a week goes by where some woman doesn't corner me

somewhere and say, "I need to tell you something,

"your wife was my biggest inspiration."

I meet people everywhere who want to say something

about where they were when Nadia got her 10

and what it meant to them.

She's become sport royalty,

this icon quality about her that you can't deny.

She is an icon of the sport,

she transformed the sport in the United States

by creating so much interest in it.

And I remember one time I met First Lady Michelle Obama,

and Nadia and I were standing there talking to her

and she said, "Nadia, do you know what you did for me?"

She said, "When I saw you do what you do,

"it made me feel like I could do anything, too,

"if I just worked hard enough."

When I left Romania at the airport

and I was together with the entire team

that competed the Olympics in 1976,

I remember I said to a journalist

that I hope to win a medal and if it's possible to be gold.

(MONTREAL 1976: WOMEN'S VAULT)

(MONTREAL 1976: WOMEN'S FLOOR EXERCISES)

(MONTREAL 1976: UNEVEN BARS)

My routine on the uneven bars,

the first routine actually that I got the 10,

was a compulsory routine.

In the time when I was competing

we had to do compulsory also,

which is the same routine at each event,

which is basically sounds kind of boring.

But I think that my routine was a little bit different,

even though they were exactly the same,

I did something that I call the Nadia Touch,

which is every little skill that I had to do,

I add a little more amplitude, I made it bigger.

Usually I don't watch the scoreboard

because I'm able to give myself a score

on the basis of how I felt I did.

So I landed and I thought I did a good routine.

I didn't even think about 10.

I was hoping that I was going to get 9.9

or something close to that...

..and just because I heard the big noise in the arena,

I turn around and I see the scoreboard, 1.00,

which is very confusing to everybody.

Prior to that Olympic Games,

Omega, which was the official timer,

had said to the International Gymnastics Federation,

"Is there any reason why we have to be prepared to put a 10

"on our scoreboards?"

And the people at the Federation said,

"No, nobody's ever going to get a 10 in our sport".

So the only score they could put up

to even approximate that was 1.00.

The reaction of the crowd was incredible.

The announcer was saying,

"Ladies and gentlemen, the first time in the history

"of the sport, a perfect 10."

Nobody expected that from us,

nobody really wanted to pretend

that we are expecting the perfect 10 -

but then, they came out from seven judges, a perfect 10.

I said, "Yes, that's great."

Next event, on the beam.

Balance beam is probably one of the most difficult events

in gymnastics, because it's very, very narrow

and you cannot hide a mistake...

..but it was also my favourite event for some reason,

I'm not sure why.

(MONTREAL 1976: BALANCE BEAM)

Beautiful performance, back and forth,

back and forth, back and forth on the beam.

Solid like a rock and with her superior attitude, you know.

She was already displaying this proud attitude.

When I saw the score of the balance beam,

I knew there was a 10.

All my 10s were uneven bars, balance beam,

uneven bars, balance beam, so I felt like going back

and forth during four days of competition.

Later on when six more times came out the perfect 10,

we started to get used to it.

"Yeah, there it is again, that's only 10."

A perfect 10 became absolute perfection.

I don't remember prior to Nadia

anybody saying perfection was a 10.

In our execution you can get a 10

but I don't think the judges want to give it out.

As close as you get, they're just like,

"No, maybe this was wrong,"

so it is very difficult -

but she did impact the whole entire sport of gymnastics,

so everyone still strives to do that.

Actually I didn't know there was no 10,

I didn't know I was the first one to do that.

I knew I was good, but I didn't know I was that good.

If you are able to put your best routine at the right time,

I think that's the definition of a champion.

After so many, many, many hours of training,

you kind of know what has to go through your mind

when you're up there and you know this is the competition

that everybody wants to be at,

and you know that you have this chance only every four years,

there is no redo.

It was just like everything was lining up for me

at that particular time.

I think that I was in a great shape at the right time.

When we landed in Bucharest, when I saw so many people,

I think there were 10,000 people at the airport,

I went back in the plane because I didn't understand

why are so many people at the airport.

So I didn't understand the magnitude of the Olympics.

I mean, I knew what the Olympics were,

but I didn't understand that...

Did everybody have time to watch it?

Thousands and thousands of people were at the airport

waiting for us and I could not believe it.

I absolutely could not believe it -

and I seen that there was, like, one of the major speeches

or Ceausescu did not have that many people.

Gymnast, Nadia Comăneci.

I met Ceausescu one time after my Olympics

because we did a big celebration of the Olympics

and they awarded us.

I mean, it's an honour,

I am too young to understand what's going on.

For everybody it is an honour

to be honoured by the president of the country.

These are some of the photos with the presidents,

Bill Clinton, George Bush.

We went to a few functions

and also at the White House for special Olympics.

This is a golden disc that I received

after the Olympics in '76.

This music was used in Romania after the Olympics

when a television crew came to do a piece on me,

and they were looking for a music

that would fit the slow motion of my balance beam routine,

and they picked this music

which had a different name before.

Now it's called Nadia's Theme -

and because that show became very popular,

Barry De Vorzon, who wrote this, has changed the name

from the original to Nadia's Theme.

(OLYMPIC GAMES MOSCOW 1980)

Pressure? No, I had no pressure when I was 14 and a half,

but I did have some when I was 18 and I competed in Moscow.

I wanted to be the best,

because I knew I can be the best.

When I was 14 and a half and I competed in '76,

I was just a child that nobody knew pretty much

what I'm coming from or where Romania is on the map.

They learned that after the Olympics in '76.

Going to the Olympics in 1980 I was a grown-up,

I was an 18-year-old

and I made a mistake at the preliminary on the uneven bars,

which was my best event.

I already knew that I was going to go down because I rushed it,

I had to wait a little more and I didn't

and then that's what happened.

It was a learning experience for me, the 1980 Olympics.

I ended up with two gold and two silver,

I mean, that's pretty good.

Yeah, I could have done better but it was still pretty good.

So I put it in a bag of experiences.

Actually I knew that the 1980 would be

basically my last Olympic Games,

I didn't see myself being around for 1984.

I think that I accomplished what I wanted to accomplish.

I didn't even know what I was going to do

when I was done with gymnastics.

I think my idea was to become a doctor.

Well, this is something that's very interesting,

is the entire gymnastic archive.

Starting from 1956,

everything that's happened in gymnastics

all the way to today is here.

I believe that this is the biggest in the world,

nobody has anything close to this.

This is the one from when I was still performing in the '90s.

It's good to have them,

I mean, you can see that some of them have a yellowish colour

because it goes back to the '50s

and it's awesome.

I think as the time goes, I value more my accomplishments

because I didn't realise when I was that young

that this was such a big deal.

We have a gymnastic school,

actually the gymnastic school has been here

before I even arrived.

It's about almost 1,500 kids who do gymnastics

and probably 30 coaches or more.

Look at that, pretty darn good. Straighten your legs.

It's kind of funny because Nadia's so much more famous

globally than I am that people just assume

why isn't it the Nadia Comăneci Gymnastic School?

And maybe we'd be better off if it was

but, you know, we already had a thriving business

as it was the Bart Conner Academy, so.

We've already had at least 40 athletes

from our programme here

get full scholarships at major universities,

from Stanford to Syracuse and a lot of places in between.

Hi, Karen.

These are the grips that we make in the back

that I told you about,

for little, tiny little kids all the way to bigger ones.

And here are some of the costumes for the show

and over there are all the fabrics for all the leotards

that Karen is making for us now

because gymnasts need new leotards

and colourful leotards and something like that.

That's a new pattern I'm working on.

I see, yeah, I like it.

Yeah, that's nice, the combination.

I can see it over there, yeah.

So all the fabrics and all the sewing and...

Cool stuff.

I don't know what people think about communism.

I found out that I'm watched.

Everybody carried the burden of the communist system.

With the difficulty of making progress, to step forward,

to be recognised and to be compensated for your effort.

People at that time did not even talk about uprising,

asking for their rights, asking for their recognition.

They just make you disappear like you've never been around.

We were in a gymnastic tour in 1981

and my coach and his wife decided not to come back

and they stayed in the United States.

What I didn't like was what happened after Béla left.

I've heard that I've got a lot of invitations to go,

to travel to places and I was not allowed to.

So I understood that this will probably be

the end of my travelling, you know, life.

I didn't think that was fair, so I thought this is enough.

I have an opportunity to do something

and I'm going to do it.

She had very little access to information

about what was going on in the world outside.

It was a tremendous leap of faith that she took

when she left Romania.

By the time when I got to defect,

I think that was the only time in my adult life

when I had no fear, and I think I had to be a little crazy

and a little bit insane

to do something that's basically dangerous.

Go, you know, in the middle of the night

and maybe risking your life.

It was like doing something in a movie,

not thinking about what can happen.

I think that we were lucky that we made it,

that we didn't get shot and everything else.

I don't think about that right now because it's just,

we made it all the way

but sometimes I'm like, wow, you know,

yeah, it was a big deal.

She thought she was going to stay in Hungary for a while

but they wanted her out of the old Soviet Bloc completely

and so she went to Austria

and then asked for asylum in the United States.

I had known Nadia and we had become acquaintances,

but nothing really more than that -

and she's an important symbol for our sport,

and then we saw that she left Romania

and then she was in Hungary and I thought,

well, maybe she's going to stay there.

Then the next day I see that she left Hungary

and went to Austria

and asked for political refugee status in the United States,

because she showed up at the US embassy in Vienna

and said, "I want to go to America" -

and within hours they had her on a plane

to the United States.

So now she calls Bart, who was one of the few people

she really knows in the United States, and Bart said,

"Well, come on to Oklahoma and we'll sort this all out."

I was like a lot of gymnastic friends and fans of hers

who wanted to offer a helping hand.

Well, I knew Bart from the time when I was competing.

I knew him as a gymnast...

..but I reconnected with Bart and his coach at the time,

and our manager now, Paul Ziert,

and they were involved with gymnastics.

They had all these facilities,

they were still doing gymnastic shows

and that's how I reconnected.

I was doing gymnastics exhibitions for years

after I finished competing.

When Nadia came to the US,

along with my business partner, Paul Ziert,

he said, "Hey, give her a call,

"see if she wants to do some gymnastic shows."

So I called her up and she said, "No, I don't think so,

"I haven't done gymnastics in years, I don't want to do it,"

and I kind of finally talked her into it

and we did one or two shows together

and she started enjoying it

and we started building our friendship from there.

When I first met Nadia, it was kind of a funny story.

We actually met in Madison Square Garden in March of 1976

and I remember it distinctly

because it happened to be my birthday

and it was a meet called the American Cup.

It was a very important international invitational,

top athletes from all around the world,

and she and I won the final competition

on the final day together

and we stood side by side on the awards podium

and we held up these big silver American cup trophies

that we won - and I'll never forget it

because a photographer saw us together and he said,

"Get a little closer together, maybe give her a little kiss

"on the cheek, it will make a nice picture", whatever.

So I gave her a little kiss on the cheek.

We were laughing at that time

because both of them were so lovely, so cute.

We were always joking,

"You guys, you would make a great couple".

"Oh, no, no, what are you talking about?"

Youth is innocence, it was so lovely seeing them.

Bart Conner is one of the nicest people on earth,

so she could not have wound up with a nicer person.

Well, I think the fact that we are gymnasts connected us.

We think alike and different

which makes our connection much more interesting.

Well, this is the office that I'm not supposed to go in,

but Dylan, this is the office of our son, Dylan.

He is 10 years old and he is a toy collector.

Everything is in here.

Every little thing from roller blades, roller skates

to candy machines to Pac-Man

to anything you name,

guns, Star Wars stuff,

oh, and a photo of me.

The important thing that we do right now is parenting.

All our work that we do to be sure that our 10-year-old

has a great education and nice environment

and he's happy.

One time he came from kindergarten,

he was four and a half.

"Mom, Dad, do you know you're famous?"

We didn't tell, you know, we went to the Olympics,

we did this and this and this and this.

He goes right.

I like the feeling of connecting with kids

because I know how bad they want to do something

and I know how difficult it is to do a lot of things still.

I like to see a happy face.

I love to go back to Romania,

actually I go back six times a year.

We created a clinic for underserved kids, a hospital...

..where parents who can't afford to treat their kids

when they are sick, they come there.

It's not only kids, it's also elderly.

I am happy that I could help.

Every sport says you should compete like Nadia,

you should be the best.

Nadia's name is coming up everywhere,

on every corner, on every mouth

and everyone who loves the sport

first of all thinks about Nadia

because she's representing the best among the very best.

You have to give Nadia, just who Nadia is and what she did

and what she represented,

a tremendous amount of the indirect credit

for the boom of American female gymnastics.

Growing up you always heard about the perfect 10

from Nadia, so you see the video and you're just in awe.

You want to replicate this exact same thing that she did

and hopefully one day get a 10, but it is very difficult

and that's why she's the only one that has gotten it.

The United States has been the dominant country in the world

in women's gymnastics since 1984

and who would have ever thought that?

We have pretty much dominated over the years.

We look up to her so much because of what she did

and she strived us to be the best that we can be.

Gymnastics was a way for me to live a different life.

It defined my life in a way that I couldn't even think

what I would have done if I didn't do gymnastics.

When I started, I went in to play in a gym

just because it was cool to do flips

and just because I could do things that my mom

wouldn't let me do at home.

So out of just finding a place to spend my energy,

I ended up going to two Olympic Games

and scoring the first perfect 10.

That was not in the script for me.

I don't know what I would have said

if somebody would say to me,

"You know that if you go to the gym and start to do this sport,

"you know, maybe you will be able to make history."

I'm like, what does he mean?

So it just, it just happened.

I just enjoy what I do right now

and be happy that my family is OK

and be happy that I am able to travel

Why Do We Get Colds When It's Cold? - Duration: 3:19.

15 Facts That Could Save Your Life - Duration: 7:49.

● You may be the kind of person who lives life on the safe side: you don't smoke,

you don't use your phone while walking and you regularly check your bed for snakes.

But what would you do when disaster strikes?

Do you know what to do in an emergency?

Here are 15 tips that could save your life.

15 - , Mugging ● You may read a lot of advice online about

how to survive a mugging, like throwing your belongings on the street to run away.

The reality is that most robberies don't take place in some dark, deserted back alley.

They usually happen close to you, in surprisingly public places.

According to self-defense experts, you're better off doing what the mugger wants.

They're only looking to get your stuff and go, with as little fuss as possible.

You can always buy another iphone.

14 - , Downed Power Line ● After a storm, earthquake or traffic accident,

you may find yourself close to a power line or electricity point which might be leaking

dangerous current into the ground.

If you are in a car, stay inside, as the metal frame of the vehicle will conduct the current

around you.

If you are standing, shuffle walk away, as the difference of voltage may shoot current

through your legs.

When you are safe, call emergency services as soon as possible.

13 - , Impaled by object ● Stabbed, impaled or cut; bleeding can

be fatal if it's serious, so it's important to apply pressure directly to the wound.

This means pressing down on it with your hands, despite the pain, wrapping it tightly with

fabric will also work.

However, if there is still a object stic king into you, do not remove it - it's keeping

a lot of the blood inside you!

While you call an ambulance, keep the wound raised, above the level of your heart.

12 - , Driving Tired ● We all know the dangers of drunk driving,

or texting in the car, but research suggests almost 20% of road accidents are related to

sleep and tiredness.

If you are feeling sleepy, it is always safer to avoid driving altogether.

But there are ways of staying alert, such as taking breaks if your journey is over an

hour and drinking strong coffee.

You can also try rolling down the windows and playing loud music - experts say heavy

metal is best.

11 - , Riptides ● A rip current, sometimes called a 'rip-tide'

is a fast-moving stream of water within the sea that can pull you away from the beach

at up to eight feet per second.

Swimmers find themselves suddenly far from the shore, unable to swim back.

The first step to safety is only swimming on beaches with a lifeguard.

But if you do find yourself being pulled out - don't swim against it - instead swim parallel

to the shore to get out of the rip current.

10 - , Normalcy Bias ● The phrase 'normalcy bias' refers

to our dangerous optimism in times of emergency.

We tend to ignore warnings, and assume we will probably be okay, and as a result, people

often don't react at all in times of disaster.

A way to combat normalcy bias is not to be paranoid, but to just be aware of your surroundings

in public places.

Always have a plan for how you would exit a building or area.

9 - , Self-Heimlich ● When some people start choking on food,

they feel embarrassed to ask for help, but it's important that you get other people

to deliver sharp blows to your back, and if that doesn't work then they reach around

you from behind and push up hard into your ribcage to expel any food in your airwaves.

But if you are alone, you can perform this manoeuvre yourself by pressing your upper

belly into a chair or railing and pressing down hard.

8 - , Cooking Fire ● Most of us think we know how to put out

a fire.

Throw water on it, right?

Well, in the home, this can be very dangerous if the fire is electrical, so the best option

is to keep a fire extinguisher in the home, and aim the jet of powder at the base of the

fire.

But if you don't have an extinguisher or if it's an oil or grease fire in the kitchen,

you should aim to cover it with a wet towel, or throw baking soda over it.

7 - , Aspirin Heart Attack ● Heart attacks affect more men than women,

and are more common among people in later life, but it definitely helps to know what

to do.

It starts with a tight, squeezing sensation in the chest that spreads, a feeling of weakness

and shortness of breath.

The first step is to call an ambulance asap, but next you should chew and swallow an aspirin,

as this thins the blood and can actually save your life.

6 - , Lightning Storms ● They say lightning never strikes twice,

but it only takes one time to kill you.

If the lightning and thunder sound are less than twenty seconds apart, it's time to

get to shelter, that is, a large building or a car - not a bus shelter or a tree, these

can actually be targets.

If there's no shelter, get to low land and crouch on your feet, in order to minimize

height and also contact with the ground.

5 - , Bystander Effect ● If you have a serious problem and need

help in a public area, you may actually be less likely to get it due to something called

the 'bystander effect'.

When there are many witnesses to an emergency, individuals are less likely to offer help,

as they don't see it as serious or they assume others will help instead.

If you need assistance, choose a person and ask them directly, like "Hey you in the

red shirt!

Call an ambulance!"

4 - , Stay low in fire ● A house fire is one of the most terrifying

things that could happen, but it's important to think about what you would do.

The majority of deaths actually occur from smoke inhalation, rather than burns, so it's

important to stay low to the ground and crawl if you're in a room with a fire.

When getting out, check the door for heat or smoke before opening, and if it's safe,

make sure you close it behind you to prevent flames from spreading.

3 - , Lost in the Wild ● Even if you're not a seasoned hiker,

there's a chance that you might find yourself lost in the wilderness at some point in your

life.

The priorities are always keeping warm, finding water and finding your way out.

The best move is always to head downhill, wherever you are.

Human settlements and rivers are usually found at the bottom of slopes, rather than the tops.

An increase in insect numbers may also be an indicator of water.

2 - , Calling Emergency Services ● You should know the emergency services

phone number in your country, although it's useful to know that the number 112 works in

a vast number of countries worldwide.

Another useful tip is that even if your phone has no signal, there's a good chance you

can call the emergency services, as other networks will make the connection for you.

If you are unable to talk to the operator, pressing '55' in many countries is a distress

signal.

1 - , Solar Water Disinfection ● If you run out of water when outside,

it can be deadly within three days.

But drinking still water that you find may also be dangerous, as it can contain disease

and diarrhea-causing bacteria.

One way to disinfect water is to use clear plastic bottles.

Leaving a full bottle in sunlight for at least six hours should sterilise most of it with

its UV rays.

It's not 100% effective, but it might just save your life.

BREAKING NEWS… President Trump Just ENDED The UN!!! - Duration: 5:43.

BREAKING NEWS…

President Donald Trump Just ENDED The UN!!!

President Donald Trump has given one of the best Christmas gifts the American People have

ever gotten, and once again kept another one of his many promises.

On Christmas Eve, the US ambassador to the United Nations, former South Carolina Governor

Nikki Haley announced that President Trump has given the order to cut its 2018 contribution

to the United Nations by $285 million, that's a cut of nearly 25 percent and a great start

in the plan to fully defund the Anti-Semitic and Anti-American United Nations.

All this came about when more than 120 nations criticized the United States for its decision

to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and for declaring we will be moving our embassy

to said city.

How dare we as a sovereign nation decide where we will put our embassy!

CNN Reports:

Graham: Defund UN after Israeli settlement vote:

Sen. Lindsey Graham will propose a measure to pull US funding for the United Nations

unless the UN Security Council repeals the resolution it passed condemning Israeli settlements.

"It's that important to me," he told CNN.

"This is a road we haven't gone down before.

If you can't show the American people that international organizations can be more responsible,

there is going to be a break.

And I am going to lead that break."

"I will do everything in my power, working with the new administration and Congress,

to leave no doubt about where America stands when it comes to the peace process and where

we stand with the only true democracy in the Middle East, Israel," Graham added.

He later told CNN's Dana Bash that US funding accounts for 22% of the UN's budget.

The United States on Friday allowed a UN Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlement

construction to be adopted, defying significant pressure from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's

government in alliance with President-elect Donald Trump.

The Security Council approved the resolution with 14 votes, with the US abstaining.

Trump soon after tweeted, "things will be different after Jan. 20th," and on Friday,

a senior Trump transition official told CNN the transition team was "all hands on deck"

in working to kill the UN resolution.

Graham issued a statement after the vote, harshly criticizing the Obama administration

for abstaining.

"The Obama-Kerry foreign policy has gone from naïve and foolish to flat-out reckless.

With friends like these, Israel doesn't need any enemies," he said.

"I anticipate this vote will create a backlash in Congress against the United Nations.

The organization is increasingly viewed as anti-Semitic and seems to have lost all sense

of proportionality."

Graham traveled to New York last week to discuss the resolution with António Guterres, the

next UN Secretary General, and he spent the past week lobbying members of the Security

Council not to support the UN vote.

The South Carolina Republican also talked to South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, Trump's

pick for ambassador to the United Nations, about the resolution.

"The settlement issue is no doubt an issue," Graham told CNN.

"But this is not the way.

We abandoned Israel."

Citing the controversial 2009 Goldstone report about the Israeli conflict in Gaza, which

accused both Israel and Hamas of war crimes, as well as other anti-Israel measures at the

UN, Graham said, "enough is enough."

"The bottom line is with all of the problems we have, Israeli settlements are pretty low

on my list."

Graham said.

He added that he wanted to work with the UN to help stabilize Iraq and Syria.

He also was planning a joint efforts with the UN to create a Marshall Plan to support

countries emerging from conflict, but won't do it unless the UN overturns the resolution

"I am a huge supporter of foreign aid and the UN," he told CNN.

"I want to do more, not less.

But I can't support funding a body that singles out the only democracy in the Middle

East who shares our values."

Graham plans to move forward with his measure after the congressional recess when a continuing

resolution expires in April.

Senator Ted Cruz tweeted that he spoke with Netanyahu and assured him of support for Israel

in Congress.

"No US $ for UN until reversed," Cruz wrote on Saturday.

Graham hopes to create leverage for Trump to deal with the United Nations on the issue

when the President-elect takes office.

"Trump is a good negotiator.

Let's see if this give him some leverage," he said, adding if the world body overturned

the measure, the UN "has got a chance to reset and let the new administration restart

the peace process."

It's about damn time we defunded the scum in the United Nations.

Which has really turned into a place where nation's leaders send the people they don't

want around anymore.

The days of going against our nation's interests, and us paying for that disrespect are over.

There is no need to pay people to hate us, they can hate us for free.

Perhaps if they don't like it they can just move the whole UN to somewhere in the middle

east, I hear Dubai or Qatar would take them, just get that garbage out of our borders.

We don't need them here.

The truth of the matter is that the UN has spent the last half-century spewing hate against

the US and Israel.

And it's about damn time we said enough.

We have every right to do whatever we please, it's the perks of being a superpower.

And if the UN doesn't like it, they can get their "preferred nations" such as

Iran or North Korea, to fund them.

what do you think about this?

Siblings, Merry Christmas from the KarJenners!

Though they were missing from their siblings' social media posts during the annual Christmas

Eve party, pregnant Kylie Jenner and Rob Kardashian made cameos in Khloé Kardashian's Snapchat

on Christmas morning.

"Merry Christmas! People think you weren't there last night," pregnant Khloé, 33,

said to Kylie, 20, in one video as the younger sister replied: "I was."

"She's a secret little bunny," Khloé added.

All the siblings — including Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West as well as Kendall

Jenner — gathered at Kourtney's house to open presents and celebrate the day in

matching elf patterned onesies and beanies.

Momager Kris Jenner was dressed head-to-toe in Gucci, wearing a fur coat and accessorizing

with the designer brand's fanny pack. "Looks like the Gucci store threw up on her, wow!"

Khloé commented in one of her videos.

Also in attendance were the youngest members of the KarJenner family: Cousins Mason Disick,

8, Penelope Disick, 5, North West, 4½, Reign Disick, 3, and Saint West, 2.

It's been a while since Kylie has made appearances on her family's social media.

The Kylie Cosmetics entrepreneur has kept out of the public eye by staying home at her

house in Calabasas, with a source telling PEOPLE in October, "Kylie wants to keep

a low profile."

Adding, "She doesn't want to be photographed. At the moment, she wants more privacy. She

has family and friends come to her house instead so she has company. She's very excited about

the baby, though. She talks about the baby nonstop."

Another insider told PEOPLE last month that Kylie is "only trusting her closest friends

and her sisters right now."

Kylie was also absent from the first 24 days of her family's Christmas card countdown.

Meanwhile, Rob has been laying particularly low in the wake of his explosive social media

tirade against his ex-fiancée Blac Chyna this past summer.

"[Rob] only cares about [daughter Dream, 1] and loves spending time with her, but that's

about it," an insider told PEOPLE earlier this month. "He doesn't seem excited about

anything else."

Get To "No" Faster and Be Successful - Duration: 2:00.

- So a behavior that I've adopted over the last few years

that's been a game changer has really been

getting to no faster, meaning let's say we're working

on a prospect, we're trying to do business.

Instead of trying which I think most people in sales

and business try to do which is to avoid people saying no,

they don't want someone to say,

"No, I don't want to do business with you."

The faster you can get to a no, the more time you can spend

on the people who are gonna say yes.

That's the game changer because when you try to avoid,

you try to just always please a potential prospect

or person, you kind of avoid all the negativity

and the objections when in reality you want to get

to an objection as fast as you can so you can either

decide can we move around this objection

and can we solve their problem or their perceived problem

or is it really just not a fit and do I just want the no

really quick so I can go find the next person

who really does fit with Bold?

The reality is you're gonna hear tons of nos

in business and sales and when you also look at it

as a no doesn't mean zero.

So if you're just looking at pure sales and you say,

"If a yes means 100,000 and a no means zero,"

well it hurts every time you hear a no.

However if you think about it this way and say,

"For every nine nos I usually get a yes,"

well it doesn't mean that those nine nos were worth zero,

those nine nos were worth $10,000.

And so when you realize that and you go

well the nos are worth money because it takes nine nos

to get that $100,000 yes, well then every no you get

you go yes, I'm $10,000 closer to 100 grand.

It's a game changer.

What's Cooking In The Monster Cafe? | Kids video for learning - Duration: 10:12.

Hey guys my name is Sally and welcome to the Sugar Snap Kingdom!

This is my first video on YouTube, and I'm super excited to be sharing my adventures with you guys!

Today, I'm gonna be working in the Monster Cafe one of many cafes in the magical Sugar Snap Kingdom

We're very busy, and we've got a lot of hungry monsters out there...

Oh! Looks like we've got our first order!

Strawberry Pasta with Glitter Rock Candy

Let's start cooking! So I'm just gonna grab my strawberry pasta... Look at how red it is. Did you know it takes

1000 strawberries to make one bowl of strawberry pasta, that's a lot of strawberries! Okay, I'm just gonna put it in the pan...

Don't be stingy now

Now let's grab the glitter rock candy

So sparkly!

Now remember only monsters can eat this sort of stuff. It's not good for humans like me and you

Now let's give it a good stir!

So I guess I should tell you a little bit more about the sugar snap Kingdom

There are many different types of creatures that live here

monsters make up about 30% of the population

Okay now it's time for our super secret special ingredient. Can you guess what it is?

Fairy Dust! That's right fairy dust

We have so many fairies in the magical kingdom so many in fact that they're almost a pest, but don't worry

No fairies are harmed in fact. They leave a trail of fairy dust wherever they go

Another thing I should tell you about the kingdom is the toys we have so many toys here

I tell you you wouldn't believe it...Wow look at that sparkle

Nobody ever gets bored here. There are so many things to do and so many things to play with

Okay, I'm just gonna grab my take away container and pack it for our first customer

And our Strawberry Pasta with Glitter Rock Candy is done!

Okay next order

Swamp Noodles with Bitter Gummy Spiders, let's grab our swamp noodles

Our swamp noodles come from deep inside the Sugar Snap swamps it can take days to get there!

And you have to be super careful of as snapping crocodiles but luckily we were able to find some and bring it back

Now let's grab our gummy spiders

Gummy spiders have a bitter after taste and they come from the gummy spider tree

Located just outside the sugar snap forest. I actually got lost there once, but that's how I discovered the magical sugar snap kingdom

It's a long story, but I'll get into it another time I promise!

We have to make sure all the ingredients are mixed well to get optimal flavor

Now let's grab our special ingredient, which is the fairy dust!

I just love the way it sparkles!

Now let's grab our takeaway container and pack it nice and neatly for a monster customer

Let's make sure we grab every last bit

Swamp Noodles with Bitter Gummy Spiders is done!

Next order Mermaid Hair with Pixie Candy Fowers

Okay, let's grab our mermaid hair and don't worry. No mermaids were harmed

We get our hair donated to us by mermaids who recently cut their hair. They go really fast. You know

Well, I guess I should tell you guys a little bit about myself

My name is Sally and I lived in the Sugar Snap Kingdom...You guys probably know that by now

Let's see. I'm not very tall I'm actually quite short to be honest

I have brown hair and brown eyes, and I love reading books and playing games

Now let's add the pixie candy flowers

Don't let the name fool you it tastes like a stinky old sock mixed with blue cheese

But for monsters, it's a delicacy

Let me just say the smell isn't that great but like I said before delicious to monsters

Sprinkle that fairy dust

Let's grab our takeaway container

Make sure we grab every last bit we don't want to be wasteful!

And our Mermaid Hair with Pixie Candy Flowers is Done!

Looks like we've got another order

Seaweed Pasta with Pickled Troll Eyeballs

Let's grab our seaweed pasta, and it tastes like just how you would expect fishy and salty

And I'm just gonna grab the pickled troll eyeballs

These trolls were found living in their parents basement

I'm just going to give that a good stir. We gotta make sure we cook the troll eyeballs really well. They have a bitter after taste

Stir stir stir stir the pot...

It smells surprisingly good kind of like baked chicken

Okay time for the fairy dust

Ewww look at those troll eyeballs, thank goodness, I don't have to eat this!

Let's grab our handy dandy, takeaway container

Make sure we grab all of it

Seaweed Pasta with Pickled Troll Eyeballs is done!

Okay looks like we've got our last order for the night! Swamp Noodles and Mermaid hair with Gummy Snakes!

Okay, let's grab our Mermaid Hair and our Swamp Noodles

Let's put some mermaid hair in the pan first

And then t he swamp noodles

Last ingredient the gummy snake

They're super stretchy! Gummy snakes actually taste really sweet depending on the color the lighter the color the sweeter they are!

Make sure we stir that really well

We have to make sure all the ingredients are mixed together

Stir stir stir stir the pot...

Okay, I think that should be enough stirring...Then sprinkle a bit of fairy dust

And we're done!

Look at all the gummy snakes all mixed together. I'm sure we're gonna have one happy monster

Let's put it in the takeaway container

Make sure we grab all of it

And our swamp noodles with mermaid hair and gummy snakes is done

Wow, look at all the food we made. I'm sure we've got a lot of satisfied monsters out there

Well guys, that's it for me today at the Monster Cafe

Writers Have Been Lost In Film History from Giving Voice to Women Silent Film Writers - Duration: 0:54.

So why are we studying this?

Because I believe and we can prove that writers have been lost in the history of film.

If you look at this, what do we call know?

We all know this movies is by who?

Frank Capra!

Right?

Right.

Look at this -- no, no, no, -- Screenplay by Frank Capra.

You can't read this from there.

I can barely read this from here.

This movie which plays perennially at Christmas a million times was written by them.

Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett.

A married screenwriting time that worked for 35 years together until she died.

They were the highest paid screenwriting team and they're nothing to sneeze at because they

got a Pulitzer for the play, The Diary of Anne Frank and then they adapted it into a

film and it kills me that children -- they know Anne Frank.

They know It's a Wonderful Life and they know Frank Capra.
