is a super popular hip hop boy group
from South Korea with an average age of 22
The album they released last year, titled WINGS
placed on the international billboard album chart
surpassed famous acts such as Beyonce
and managed to place 26th
officially making them the highest ranking kpop act ever.
On top of that, on the chart for most SNS relevance
they have beat out the likes of Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber
to hold the No. 1 spot for six consecutive weeks.
And, their world tour which started in February
of this year is Sold Out everywhere.
In America, they attracted 60,000 people,
and in Brazil and Chile, 40,000 .
Of course, BTS are exploding with popularity here in Japan, too
and that momentum isn't letting up.
Last year, out of the most tweeted artists in Japan,
BTS slid in with famous artists and ranked 7th
The reason why they're so popular internationally?
Their highly addictiong songs,
They write lyrics that focus on the struggles and worries of youth
and all of the members participate in the music making process

which even caught the eye of this Japanese artist

same stage at a festival once and since then
I've been checking up on them.
Haruna: The representative artist for hip hop in Japan,
AK-69
He works under the Japanese branch of
the American hip hop label, Def Jam Recording
which represents internationally famous artists
such as Justin Bieber and Rhianna.
When asked about the appeal of BTS
Right off the bat they have that
"Handsom Hallyu star" visual,
but their music is seriously hip hop
it's really genuine, really real,

they have the power to aim their music at the world.
