What's up guys?
This is Kevin from KreativeVein and today we'll be going over 5 steps on how to grow
your Instagram account, whether it be for business, for your personal account, or any
other reason.
So before we get into this video be sure to smash that subscribe button and hit me up
on Twitter at KreativeVein to get daily updates as we continue to grow!
So step 1 on how to grow your Instagram account is to find account similar to yours.
What I mean by this is if you're a business and you post motivational quotes, then find
other people who are popular and do things close to how you do it.
From there, you can easily find people who would follow you, because they follow someone
else in the same niche.
For personal accounts, this is a bit more tricky, but if you want to find people and
you're a high school student, besides following people that you know from school and extracurricular
activities, you can look up an account like Scarce if you watch a lot of YouTube or if
you're into basketball you can look up a player like Jeremy Lin.
From here, once you have found a few accounts where followers of that account would follow
you because you have similar content, we can move onto step 2.
Step 2 is to follow people who comment on and like the pictures that are posted by the
accounts you have found.
For instance, going back to Jeremy Lin, you could open up the comments section on his
latest photo, and follow all the people who have commented, or, and this one is a bit
more time-saving, is to just open up the likes on his photo and then follow all of them by
clicking pretty quickly.
In the past most people would just go to a person's followers and follow from there,
but fro my own experience growing Instagram accounts, you want people who not only follow,
but are engaged, so you want people to comment as well as like, and these people are more
likely to follow you because they are so active on Instagram.
Just a note, if you see my Instagram account for KreativeVein currently, it is pretty small
because I just started posting and don't use it too much, but I do have other accounts
as businesses that have a few thousand followers, just so you know that I'm not bullshitting
out my ass about tips to grow on Instagram.
Once you do that, you should have many people who are interested in what you are posting
to request to follow you or just start following you if you are a public account.
Step 3 is to post consistently.
Yes this is pretty self-explanatory but some people similar to me don't post often because
I'm lazy, but if you are committed to growing your Instagram account this is something you
must do, especially if you're really trying to grow a business or a brand.
If you just want a couple hundred or thousand more followers on Instagram naturally without
buying them then yeah sure you don't have to post too often, but this is especially
important for businesses.
It gives your fans and customers an update, makes them reminded of your services, and
lets them know that you're still in business.
I know sometimes personally I'll look up a restaurant on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter
and they haven't updated in 2 years so I just don't go in because I don't want to run the
risk of going there and having it be closed.
So not only will this allow you to get many more likes and followers and engagement from
real people, but this will also attract customers and retain then if you are running a business
and using Instagram as a social media platform.
Step 4 is to use hashtags.
Now you don't have to do this if you're running a personal account where you have friends
from school or co-workers from your job following you, because this looks pretty desperate and
anyone who uses hashtags in our school will definitely become a meme for a while, but
once again if you're a business and people don't really care, then do this.
It allows you to get people who are interested in the topic of the hashtag to follow you.
For example, if you use #rap, this will get people who search up rap in the search bar
to possibly see your video or the picture of you related to the hashtag.
It will also get a few bots to like your picture because many people use Instagram bots to
automatically like pictures with certain hashtags so that they can get followers.
I'll go over Instagram bots at the end.
One good app is called Tags for Likes, and it definitely boosts your like count and may
get you more followers.
Just a note for Instagram beginners, hashtags only work if you have a public profile.
If you're on private nobody expect people who are already following you can see it.
Step 5, the final step, is to follow me on Instagram.
Just kidding but it would definitely be appreciated if you did hit me up on there as I will be
more active on my trip to California this week.
The final step is possibly using an Instagram bot.
Now this is more applicable for people who are trying to make money from Instagram, whether
it be shoutouts, sponsorships, or selling your own product, but
some people who just have the money laying around and want the social status of having
thousands of real people following and liking your post can still buy a bot just for shits
and giggles.
I won't say if I personally use one because I'm pretty sure you could get banned, but
as I like to say, time is more important than money, and I don't want to spend too much
time following random people on a social media app.
So if you want, you can look up Instagram bots and have them running so that you can
chill out or do other things more productive such as work out, make music, or chill with
friends while the bot does all the work and you can wake up the next morning with 100
new followers pretty easily.
So that's all I've got for you today, once again be sure to hit me up on Instagram at
KreativeVein, it's K-R-E-A-T-I-V-E-V-E-I-N.
So "Creative" with a "K" and then Vein.
Really enjoyed making this video, I am currently in California when this video drops so it
actually is the Saturday before I leave when I made this video.
Going to reply to all comments at some point during this week because we've been growing
so fast that I'm basically overloaded with things to do... but that's a good problem
to have.
I dreamt about 10,000 subscribers a year ago and we're here and still growing like crazy
so thank you so much for watching and subscribing.
Don't know what to call us like RiceGum has RGS for RiceGumSquad or a movement in high
school basketball right now is Jelly Fam so maybe KV Squad?
Not sure but if you're still here at the end please let me know what name we could call
ourselves for this community.
Once again thank you so much for sticking with me to the end, it's Kevin from KreativeVein,
peace.
