Youtube News: Youtube daily report w Dec 24 2017

Hi I'm Mike, Its Christmas eve but the ranch never takes a vacation, the cows still need

fed and waters still need filled and the animals never give you a day off.

On our Wyoming life

In a lot of ways Christmas around here has to be treated just like any other day, even

though erin is inside baking up a storm, making Christmas goodie plates for all the neighbors.

Let me give you a sneak peek of keeps me warm while I'm out working.

Inside she is making, fry pan cookies, scotcheroos, peanut butter blossoms, fudge, and chex mix

along with sugar cookies.

Which I hope will be all waiting for me when I get back inside.

But first things first, we need to take care of all the animals.

Of course the cows need fed, you have to do that everyday.

The bulls also need fed and I'm going to take you along with me today as we venture

into the bull pasture and see if the cold weather has calmed them down a bit, they have

been a little bit frisky lately.

Once everyone is fed then we can go and check and fill waters, and hopefully that is the

extent of the work we are going to do for today.

It's a holiday after all and definitely a day that is better spent inside warm and

toasty.

So, today is gonna be a short one, and we can get right to it.

As Erin gets to work making her sweets, and grace looks on.

We can finish up feeding the cows.

With such bitter temperatures we actually feed a little more than we normally would.

Cows use digestion to help them produce body heat and the more they eat the warmer they

are, so we will feed a couple extra bales today.

Usually I do this anyway on holidays, give the cows a little extra.

Yeah, they don't know the date but in a way they are part of our family.

I could get them an Ipod or something but then they would just have to share it, this

way they all get a little something extra, if not in their stocking then in their bellies.

With them happy and taken care of we can now take another bale and head to the bull pasture.

The bull pasture is located on the other side of the highway, away from the cows, and for

good reason.

A bull can smell a cow in heat from quite a ways away, and we don't want the bulls

to get any ideas if they think there is an available cow somewhere.

So they live in their own private bachelor pad for about 9 months of the year.

They hang out with other bulls and do bull stuff, which usually involves fighting and

trying to prove dominance.

When feeding the bulls, we have to be on our toes, just like with a cow you never know

what a bull is thinking but I usually assume that its something along the line of "this

guy is on my turf" or some other macho bs.

So I stay alert.

The bull gate is always locked, with a padalock, A few years ago, someone thought it would

be funny to open the bull gate in the middle of the night, I woke up to sirens and the

highway patrol directing traffic on the highway.

No one was hurt and I got the bulls back in but since then its better to be safe than

sorry.

Once we are in the pasture, then we can cut the net wrap off the bale.

Netwrap is what is applied to the bale when its made and it holds it together.

The bulls seem pretty mellow today, which is a good thing, I think the temps have taken

it out of them.

The bale is dropped into a bale feeder which contains the bulk of the hay, reducing waste

by the bulls spreading it around or standing in it.

This bale will last them almost a week as they will eat about 40 lbs of hay per day.

Not like they have anything or anyone else to do.

As we head back to the shop, we can swing into the house and check in with Erin.

The scotcharoos and the fudge are already done, and shes trying a new recipe with saltine

toffee candy.

A little unorthodox, but I'll go with it.

I like saltines, I like toffee and I like candy.

The fry pan cookies look like they are done as well and Erin is putting the finishing

touches on her traditional chex mix.

As much as I'd love to stay and eat, its back out to the cold for us, where we can

start checking and filling the multiple stock tanks that keep the animals hydrated.

There are 4 different stock tanks we need to check, bull tank, I know is full.

I filled it yesterday and the corral tank for the replacement heifers and steers is

filling nicely.

With the stock tank heater keeping things thawed and happy.

The cow tank is a different story, its empty with a crust of ice built up around it.

This is actually a temporary tank as our usual tank and water supply have recently failed

and that repair is on the project list.

But it's a quick fix, a few sharp kicks and we can get their water going.

As we head into check water that supplies the horses and the bred heifers, well that's

where find a problem.

Their stock tank heater has failed.

Tank heaters work really hard, especially in this kind of weather but when they break,

they cause all kinds of problems and they need to be replaced.

Frozen water is no good to anyone, even cows.

So we start the process of breaking the ice.

And this ice is thick, luckily I brought my trenching shovel which actually makes short

work of ice.

Once the ice is broken then we get the chunks out using a pitchfork to fish it out and throw

it off to the side.

Then its back to the shop to grab a new tank heater and take it over and put it in the

tank, plugging it in and letting it get to work.

With that done we still have to check the pigs water which I know is frozen.

The same process takes place there as we start breaking ice, and breaking the tank.

The ice that built up made the plastic of the tank brittle and with one wack of the

shovel, either me or the ice has split the side of the tank….I'm blaming the ice.

This is an added problem, another added problem that I didn't think about is that camera

batteries don't last long in the cold and this one is going to die.

Quickly, lets toss in a new water tank and get it filling up.

We are just going to have to hand water the pigs 3 times a day until we can get their

water tank fixed again.

Not a big deal, just more time out in the great Wyoming tundra.

And I guess that's it, battery dead.

I'll finish up and meet you in the house.

Where the cookies are out of the oven and Erin is applying the finishing touches,

where the kids play and be all silly, where I finally get to take off c old, wet

and dirty boots.

And we are back, and in the warmth of the house, I'm not going to lie, if feels nice.

My boots are soaked, my socks are wet and I am freezing but right now I feel like the

luckiest guy on the planet.

I've got my family around me with more on the way, my mom and step dad are due in from

Idaho today.

First of all we need to cut the puffy pastry in the shape of a Christmas tree

The oven shall be preheated at 150°

and it will bake for 15 minutes

Hey, how is everyone?

I'm going to Brazil today.

After two and a half years I'm going back to visit my family and friends that I'm missing so much.

We just arrived at the airport, we're waiting for the time to check in because we got here earlier for precaution.

Then we can pass through security. I'll show you my bags, I have loads of things.

We're bringing the bags to wrap to keep it safe and I'll show you.

We just passed through security and now we're going to eat something.

But first we need to buy a liqour as a gift.

Then we'll go to eat and drink something before getting the flight.

We're at Burger King and I already got some food, I'll show you and let's eat because I'm starving.

I got a steak house with fries and Fanta.

We're already at the boarding queue.

But we're stopping in Amsterdam first, then we're going to Rome,... Anyway it'll take a while to get in Brazil.

I'm already anxious.

We're on the plane now, I'm sitting by the window, it's good to sleep.

We're going to leave the bags in the lockers, so we don't have to carry it around Amsterdam.

The next day, we come back to get the bags and check in to Rome, then we go to Sao Paulo.

I love orange tic tacs, but it is not easy to find it in Ireland, so I saw this big one now and I had to buy.

We've checked in the bags like I showed you and I've changed my clothes to something comfortable

It's better to be comfortable when travelling. We're only going to stay for a few hours in Rome airport then we're going to Brazil.

I just bought 2 bottles of Baileys, it's an Irish liquor, one for my Step Dad and one to my Dad.

As usual I'm hungry so we're going to eat in Burger King again, because normally it is all they have in airports.

We're in the boarding queue to Rome, where we will stop for about 2 hours before getting a flight to São Paulo.

The queue is huge here, when we get in then plane I'll show you more.

Now we're really getting on the plane to Rome .

We're in, once we get there I'll show you more. Let's go!

I was so busy that it's hard to make the video, but we're at Rome airport.

We're not staying that long, just for about one and a half hours, then we're going to Brazil.

I'm very excited and tired, my voice is hoarse, but I can't wait to get there.

I stopped to eat again and I ordered a type of cake with rice, cheese and ham, I also got an orange fizzy drink and water.

I'm finally at the boarding queue to Brazil.

I'm so excited!

We're going to arrive there tomorrow and let's go. I'll be showing you everything.

We're walking to the plane now, it's very exciting, I can't believe I'm finally going.

My heart is pounding!

I'm inside the plane now, it looks more comfortable, because I'm tall so it's hard to relax with space for the legs.

I'll show you how it is and let's go to Brazil!!!

It's a bit dark because they turned the lights off and we're watching Planet of the Apes.

I'll show you soon, they have loads of options, I'm probably watching Wonder Woman later.

They brought Donal's food and they didn't bring mine, now I'm jealous and hungry.

It's because he choose low fat food and I choose standard. Next time I'll order the same as him.

My dinner finally arrived, I was starving. I'll show you and let's have dinner.

Good morning! I just woke up because they brought breakfast.

My voice sounds bad, I'll show my breakfast.

The flight is good so far, I could sleep even though it was a bit uncomfortable, mostly for tall people.

We're about to land in São Paulo, I can see it already, and we're playing bowling while we're landing. I'll show you São Paulo.

We've passed through security and immigrattion. Now we're going to check in our bags again and go to Florianopolis, where my Mom lives.

So many flights, we're exhaust.

I put on sunglasses because my face is swollen after sleeping for so long, and let's do it. I'm very excited.

We're in the departures area now, and we're walking to the gate.

Then Florianopolis in a few minutes. It's very sunny and hot in here.

I've changed all my clothes, it's so different from Ireland. I can't wait so see my mom.

We're in the plane now, and I'm laughing a lot because they put us in 3 different queues.

A, B and C, then they put everyone in the bus and everyone queues together to get on the plane. It makes no sense!

Anyway, we're going to Florianopolis now, everything is going well so far.

We're very tired after flying for 2 days, but let's do this.

We just arrived in Florianopolis, we're waiting for the bags now.

My mom is probably waiting outside. My heart is pounding. It's a beautiful day here, very sunny.

I arrived!!!

I'm so happy. I didn't record a video before, my mom was late, she gave me flowers, I'll show you soon.

They made a welcome home banner and my picture when I was 15 years old.

So good being home, seeing all my pets, my cat is already 14 years old!

After you do this movement some times

You have to decide which side you go

You can also go back and pass the ball to a teammate

But usually

We go to the left or to the right

But how do you decide that?

First of all, when you are doing the trick

You have to balance your body to trick the opponent

After you do that, you have to decide the best moment

When he is going to the left, you go to the right

And when he is going to the right, you go to the left

were awake to see what's the matter Out rolled the engines on the rails on the

floor as Sir Topham himself threw open the door the moon shining bright on the

new fallen snow made night seem like day to the engines below and what do nine

pair of eyes should appear but a miniature sleigh pulled by reindeer and

a little old driver who was surely st. Nick he didn't look well in fact he

looked sick his reindeer were gliding but seemed to be slow and Santa then

mumbled the names that we know now Dasher now dancer now Prancer now vixen

this old elf has the flu oh my I need fixin to the top of the shed to the

top of the wall we've got to land quickly oh man, dash it all so down to the

yard all of them dropped and the sleigh and the driver and reindeer all stopped

st. Nick's cheeks were red but something was funny his eyes didn't Sparkle his

nose it was runny Sir Topham he said a sad look on his

face I cannot go on you must take my place

Sir Hatt shook his head I can't for I fear while I know about

Trains I know nothing of deer trains are perfect said Nick

I'm sure they'll do fine bust your buffers my friends and get in a line

and faster than diesels the engines all came Santa whistled a new list and

called each by name now Thomas now Percy now Gordon James too Edward and Henry

can do it deliver great joy Nick turned to Sir Topham and said one thing more your

dress coat won't do it's really a bore he pulled out a red coat and to no one's

surprise that coat it turned out to be just the right size but nighttime was

passing as children all slept so giving a nod up Sir Topham Hatt lept as the

engines gained speed seeming almost to fly from his seat in the sleigh Sir Hatt

gave a loud cry my friends we are needed I'm feeling quite fine we'll be really

useful and yes right on time so all across Sodor they raced on their

way eight steaming engines pulling gifts and a sleigh and we heard on the wind as

they puffed out of sight merry Christmas to all and to all a good night

you know Thomas and Gordon Freida and Vinny Donald and Douglas Diesel and

Sidney but do you recall the most splendid Sodor engine of all Billy the

silly engine had a most peculiar head and if you ever saw it you would race back

to your shed all of the other engines try to tell him what to do they never

let poor Billy even stop and get refueled then one foggy Christmas Eve

Sir Topham came to say Billy with your teeth so white you must

pull the mail tonight then all the engines gathered as they tooted out with glee

Billy must do the mail run while the rest of us party

Plasti Dip Camaro - Show Off Sunday - Duration: 2:08.

It's time for show-off Sunday! Where everyone has a chance to show off their

own car, and here's this week's winner,

rev up your engines, my 2017 Camaro SS, I'm going to show you around it today, under the

hood there is a 6.2 liter v8 LT1 motor, added an American Authority gas cap, this is the interior my Camaro, start it up with just

a button, I have the adrenaline red interior package, with red accent stitching, across

the whole car, I added that SS badge on the dashboard,

and the rear lights are tinted with Plasti Dip, the whole car used to be Plasti Dip,

and i'll show you a screenshot of that now,

and most people think that Plasti Dip only comes in cans, like this, but they

sell gallon sizes to spray your whole car with, color I'm doing is called

carbon red, plastidip is super easy to peel, and it peels off into pieces like
