- My guest today on Nancy's Corner
starts with a bolt of white or black fabric
and transforms what is mundane
into brightly hand-dyed fabrics
to use in her art quilts.
Please welcome Cherie St. Cyr,
who is a fiber artist from Madison, Wisconsin.
Cherie, I fell in love with your quilts
when I saw them on display, and I thought,
"Our viewers have to know about you."
- Thank you.
I'm so happy to be here.
I was wondering how you found me,
and that you saw my exhibit
at the University of Wisconsin Hospital.
- I did.
And we're going to start by sharing with you one of Cherie's quilts,
and it's called "Bear Paw."
But, a bear paw is a traditional design,
but this is not traditional. - Right.
So this quilt, I made for a competition
from the American Quilters Society,
- Mm-hmm. - And I used my hand-dyed
potato dextrin fabric both in the direct dye application
and in the discharge application,
and then I've never really been
a traditional quilter. - [laughs]
- I kind of cut wonky lines
and used all my crazy black and white and red fabric.
It was really fun to do.
- So it's a bear-paw quilt, as you mentioned, exploded.
- Exploded, yes. - Yes, so it's fun.
So we're going to have two interviews with Cherie,
and we're going to start today with how you work with fabric
because I think this is fascinating.
Not that we're going to exactly give you all the details,
but to see what starts
with black fabric or white fabric,
and this is one of your...
- It's a tie-dyed star,
like the shirt I'm wearing. - Mm-hmm.
- I taught a discharge class
to the Madison Sewers Guild... - Uh-huh.
- And I started kind of rolling in it.
So this is a final product. - Okay, yeah, fun.
But it doesn't look this way at the first stop.
- No, it's black
and it gets tied, like this... - Uh-huh.
- And then I put bleach on it
and it discharges.
Not all black fabrics discharge to white.
This is a sort of a special one. - Sure.
- Some go to copper.
Some go to any other color, so...
And then, before I untie it,
I neutralize the bleach.
I soak it in soda ash.
I work with Procion fiber-reactive dyes,
and then I put the dye on
and I let that-- it's called batching,
which is just sit around and be warm
for 4 to 24 hours.
- Now you have to tell our viewers
what you call yourself. - [chuckles]
- "A washer woman?"
Well, I say, "To be a fiber artist
is to be a washer woman," so... - [laughs]
- Because things take a lot of washing.
- Uh-huh. - So this piece was white.
- Oh, fun.
- It's cotton sateen.
It was white and I died it navy blue.
I call this one of the most beautiful pieces I ever dyed.
And then, I put the potato dextrin,
which is one of 114 sugars from potato,
on with my hands. It's kind of like corn starch.
You put it on and then as it dries,
it cracks, and I use thickened dye to--
thickened bleach, sorry, to put over it,
and then waited
for the bleach to take the color out,
and then rinsed it.
- Oh, wow, wish you could feel this fabric.
It's weighty. It feels good.
- I love this stuff.
- We have a few more to show you during this segment,
and this is very dramatic, as well.
- But here's the front side. - Oh, here's the front side.
- Sateen, you know, always has a front side.
- So this is a direct application
of the sugar from potatoes.
It looks really quite like corn starch,
and then I was starting to run out of it one day,
and so I made a silk screen,
and I screen-printed, kind of with a little doctoring
in Photoshop... - [Nancy laughs]
- In the positive and in the negative...
- Ah, nice, nice.
Now, Cherie, where do you
dye the fabric?
- I have a studio in my basement
of my home on the near-east side.
When I'm doing large work-- this is small work.
This is a fat quarter.
This is dye painting,
but I do big yardage backs of quilts...
- [chuckles] - Giant paintings,
90" x 90". - Oh, fun.
- I do those outside in the summer.
- And you have a fine point, and just...
- I have a squirty bottle,
like a hairdresser would put color on your hair.
- And, wow, let's show one more
'cause this is a clamp area.
- This is a clamped,
and I tied wiffle balls... - [chuckles]
- ...into it, and did color.
- Oh, lovely, lovely,
and, yeah, you can see here are the wiffle balls, and...
- And here, clamped plexiglass shapes.
- So, many of these fabrics
have been used in your quilts.

So I came across a kotaku article this morning about a trippy Donkey Kong Country VaporWave
fan game.
That description pretty much speaks for itself.
It's essentially a mash up between DKC and the Vaporwave genre.
It looked pretty interesting so I thought I'd download it and share the experience
with you.
It's a very short game - only a few minutes in length but it was a fun experience.

Did you ever wonder why you decided to incarnate into these lower vibrations of the third density?
When we were back on the other side with Source, life seemed so easy.
We had the answers to all universal questions and lived in the complete vibration of love.
There was no dissension, hatred, ego, or financial concerns, just love.
After many years of being in this vibration, you forgot what it was like to live in a 3rd
dimensional vibration, yet you were fortunate enough to have been here in at least one other
previous incarnation and you remembered how your spiritual progression was raised exponentially
by being in a world full of duality.
You swore to yourself that this time, you would not allow the lower third dimensional
vibrations to bring you down.
You planned on bringing back the vibration of love with you to this planet, but your
memories of being with Source were once again wiped from your immediate memories as the
3rd dimensional brainwashing began, yet again.
From birth, you were indoctrinated into a system that promotes subservience, control,
and conformity.
You always felt cognitive dissonance over this but weren�t sure why.
It seemed like everybody else was conforming to this system and this is the way it is supposed
to be.
You attended school and sometimes caught yourself daydreaming as if your higher self was telling
you, �A formal education is not what is important in life.�
As a child, you were taught how to play sports and learned aggressive, self-serving behaviors
that only reinforced the divide and conquer mentality that is forced upon us by our societal
expectations.
You were pacified with mundane television programs that not only took you further away
from who truly are, but helped to influence what you thought, wore, ate, drank, etc..
As you grew older, you started to discover how corrupt this system has become on Earth,
not only in your home country, but all over this planet.
You begin to seek answers to questions that are not taught in school, such as �What
is the origin of human existence?� and �Why are there so many opposing religions when
there is only one Source?�
You become trapped in a system that relies on monetary success in order to survive, making
you an economic slave to the few that control the many.
Unknowingly, you become part of that system.
So, why did I decide to incarnate to this shithole?
Every one of these situations gave you a chance to learn and grow spiritually.
For a while, you simply forgot how these challenges would benefit you.
You knew that at some point in this incarnation, you would awaken to find your true self along
with your purpose for being here.
It seemed so easy when you were on the other side with Source.
You wanted to make millions of soul contracts because they all seemed so easy to achieve
while you are in the presence of Source.
Instead, you listened to Source and ended up making thousands of soul contracts, which
all seemed achievable in this lifetime.
Some of these soul contracts involved people who you would only meet for a brief minute,
but somehow, they changed your life, or you changed theirs.
They helped to lead you back to your path of enlightenment, or vice-versa.
While you may never personally know these people, you were best friends with them when
you were back with Source.
Remind Me Again, Why did I Incarnate to this Sh*thole?Did you ever see someone for the
first time and just know that you�ve known this person from somewhere?
Chances are, you did know this person when you were back with Source.
You also wanted to come back to be part of the Great Awakening and the Shift in Consciousness.
We are at a point in time where our planet is completing a 26,000 year cycle called the
precession of the equinoxes.
We are also at the end of a greater cycle in which our solar system has completed it
revolution around its own sun in Sirius.
You said to yourself, �There is no way I�m gonna miss out on this!� Besides, you forgot
what it was like to experience duality and polarity.
In the end, this shithole has been an amazing experienced filled with an abundance of opportunities
for spiritual growth.
If you willingly decide to come back here in another incarnation, look for this article!

Because Saturn will reward you at some point, sooner or later.
And if you want that sooner, you can use a powerful technology that was taught by the
Rishis.
And that's a mantra.
It's a set of sounds that is very powerful.
It will help you shift your consciousness and make you more in tune with the positive
energy of Saturn.

How to Launch a Book - Duration: 5:02.
hello my wonderful friends of the
Internet I'm a delinquent youtuber I
have been really really busy I missed
the end of sssveda I'm very sorry about
that I got so caught up in the project
of launching my first book and that's
what I wanted to talk to you about today
if you don't follow me anywhere else
on social you may not have heard this
although I think I did say it in a couple
of videos during sssveda in April but I
was part of a book project I co-authored
with a lovely gentleman out of
Pennsylvania his name is Rob Anspach the
premise of the book was based on
something a concept of mind some work
that I've been doing and he was really
eager to get it out to more people and
he's an author and has written many
books already and so we collaborated and
in the last couple weeks we have
successfully launched a book not the
first for him like I was saying but
definitely the first for me and it's
definitely been such a huge learning
experience such an awesome experience
and so I wanted to share what little bit
I've learned today with you here on how
to launch a book because I do believe
that having a book having something out
there in this world of Amazon and other
online shopping opportunities I just
believe that having your name out there
on some sort of product is especially if
you are an entrepreneur or someone who's
building a business I just believe that
it is such a huge win for you and as I
feel like it is becoming for me and I
just wanted to share the little bit that
I've learned a few here first and
foremost know your content exceptionally
well that makes it really really easy to
write about if you know your content and
are not only really comfortable with it
but really excited and passionate about
it it's very very easy to write about
but as far as the actual launching and
promotion of the book the way we did it
made
it almost effortless well I shouldn't say
effortless but it just made it so fun
and so easy because what we did was we
asked for in exchange for a free
autographed copy if people would share
in the week of the pre-launch people
were sharing out content we had
Rob and I together had built a list of
tweets and Facebook posts and LinkedIn
posts that people could simply copy and
paste into their own social media and we
were tracking it using the hashtag
#noexperiencenecessary because it's the
title of our book and it just made it so
so easy and it really caused a bit of a
snowball effect
like one person shared and then all
sudden five people were sharing and then
it turned into it I lost track
honestly like between the two of us
we had probably close to 70 people
sharing our content and while that may
not sound like a lot in the grand scheme
of things you know how many people are
actually connected to those 70 people so
it just made it really really really
exciting and fun and almost overwhelming
like because I spent a great deal of
time during the week responding
reacting and responding to every single
one of those posts because clearly I'm
crazy grateful for all of that promotion
and it's just it made it it was very
humbling for me to realize that people
were taking time out of their day to
help promote something that I created
that's just such an extraordinary
feeling that's really been it you know I
I actually don't even have my physical
copies yet they are enroute from the
publisher I ordered my first box of 50
so I should be getting those any day and
then from that batch I'll be sending it
out to my friends that were on that list
of I'm calling them friend-moters
instead of promoters friend-moters just
because they you know that was a huge
thing that they did for us it's been a
very very very exciting and exhausting
time and I can't wait to do it again
so that's it for today I just wanted to
share this experience of launching a

The Medicine Cat Code - Duration: 6:12.
It's been a while.
That's the only time I'm ever gonna mention any long gaps between content, ok?
Got that out of the way as soon as possible.
Since there very beginning of the series, the warrior code has been present.
It's been enforced, worshipped, bent, warped, and shattered more times than any one person
could count.
Strict adherence has lead some down the road of misery, while knowing when to discard it
has lead others to greater victory than any clan cat ever imagined.
It's a lot more discussed than the medicine cat code.
That isn't to say that the medicine cat code has never been brought up, even in pieces
when necessary to our plot or characters, but it hasn't been at the forefront, or
as common, considering that unless you're present-day Thunderclan, you'd have 8 medicine
cats at maximum total.
Not applicable to Skyclan, for obvious reasons.
The question is: is it fair, or right?
I'm not doing a video like this on the warrior code, because my wonderful friend LZRD WZRD
has already done that, more than once, and you can find the link to that in this card.
Before we answer that question, because it's kind of a big, multilayered mess with varying
shades of gray, let's just look at what rules, exactly, the medicine cat code is comprised
of.
The first three are easily lumped together.
A medicine cat cannot have a mate or kits, and won't let personal feelings get in the
way of their duties.
This one actually goes back to the first sort of proper medicine cat: Moth Flight!
After the birth of her own kits, she found she couldn't handle the responsibility of
caring for her whole clan as well as her own kittens, as she wanted to protect them above
all others.
Say a medicine cat may be celibate their whole life, with no kittens to care for.
The whole clan is theirs to love and protect.
So should they never make a friend, or grow close to their family?
Should they be set apart from the whole rest of the clan, only to come in to briefly heal
and give prophecies?
Isn't a friendship or kinship just as much of a strong, personal bond, enough where you'd
do anything to save them?
A lot of these rules are kind of extensions of each other, rather than individual decrees.
For example, 4, 5, and 8.
These are valid points, and a smart set of rules to have.
If a medicine cat is meant to heal every cat, and are unable to reject one, that should
extend even to non-clanmates.
This even ties into the warrior code, as the newest rule states that though every clan
is independent, they may call on each other in times of need.
That said, cats are cats and may attack for whatever reason, and it's only right to
be able to defend yourself.
Number 6 and its one way street may not make a lot of sense at first, it certainly didn't
to me, but as I thought, I began to see the reasons, even if I didn't quite agree.
As I've said before, there are usually only a maximum of two full medicine cats in a clan,
most often one and an apprentice, or just one.
If a medicine cat in one of these two latter cases were to decide against being a medicine
cat, it could potentially spell chaos for the structure and health of the clan.
Also, once a medicine cat becomes a full medicine cat, they are bound to Starclan.
They've taken a solemn oath in their most holy of places, in the eyes of their ancestors.
If they've come this far, they likely have more interest in taking care of cats, rather
than fighting them.
They know things that no ordinary warrior would, and that may inhibit them from performing
warrior duties, as well.
Then again, so did Firestar and the Three and their allies, at least the grand majority,
anyway.
Should they not have been warriors, with their dreams, powers, and insight into the supernatural?
Number 9 is straightforward and doesn't really need questioning, because what kind
of cat would halfheartedly try to heal someone and give up halfway through?
A horrible horrible villain, which kinda makes me want a villainous medicine cat, I'm not
gonna lie.
Number 10 kind of bothers me, just because self-sacrifice in general bothers me.
I suppose this one, like so many others, is an extension of a previous rule— in this
case, number 9; however, I think a line should be drawn.
I don't think a medicine cat should work themselves to death in order to save others.
I admire the dedication, I admire the concern and care and raw determination, and I don't
mean to say any life is more valuable than another, but while a cat should do as much
as possible to save a cat, I don't think your own life should fall to the wayside.
Which is better, to do so much that you die in exchange for cats, or do as much as you
can but stay alive to pass on knowledge to a new medicine cat, and continue to heal for
as long as you are able?
Perhaps, once again, the difference lies in the number of medicine cats currently present
in the clan, the number of cats needing attention, which sets it apart from the warrior code
that doesn't have such conditions or quite so many murky areas.
In all, this particular code is a mixed bag, kind of different from the warrior code, which
I believe to be mostly solid and sensical.
I find that some of the laws don't make much sense, or fall apart under further scrutiny,
while others stand firm as part of being a good person, not necessarily a medicine cat.
Remember guys, everything in my videos is an opinion, and if you have a different one,
that's awesome, and if you agree, that's awesome too.

�I have formally requested from the WH and the Intel Committees info on whether I was
surveilled by Obama admin and or the Intel community!�
Oh heck yeah!
Finally, someone is taking some REAL action to make the Democrats pay for their crimes.
But he didn�t stop there.
Rand Paul wants the public�s help here so he also tweeted:
�Did the Obama admin go after presidential candidates, members of Congress, journalists,
clergy, lawyers, fed judges?�
�Did the Obama admin use warrantless �wiretapping� on other candidates besides @realDonaldTrump?�
So if you thought the Obama wiretapping scandal was bad before, this takes it to an entirely
different level.
Now combine what Rand Paul just said with the fact that Obama used �unmasking� to
spy on over 30,000 Americans in 2016.
So, what do you think the chances are that he was spying on everyone of importance?
We gotta get this out to everyone.
This is super important.
Nobody is above the Constitution, not even the President.

Hi, this is Dr. Hourglass, and welcome to another video in our channel Bootyman.
Today we are going to discuss: Scaring after butt implants.
In this channel, we will discuss everything you need to know about buttock enhancement procedures.
Welcome back!
A common concern patients have, when considering butt implants surgery, is scarring after the procedure.
Scarring is unavoidable in buttock implants procedure since any surgical procedure involves incisions.
If you are particularly sensitive to scarring, be sure to discuss the issue with your plastic surgeon
during the initial consultation.
On my part, I always explain to my patients that butt implants surgery is not possible without scarring.
I also encourage them to openly talk about their apprehensions about scarring
and what it means to them.
If a patient has zero tolerance for scarring, I advise them to avoid the surgery.
It is not possible to insert the implants into the buttocks without the tiny incisions
on your gluteal creases or in between butt cheeks.
These incisions will surely leave scars as the wounds heal a few weeks following the procedure.
In fact, the surgery starts with the placement of 4-5 inches of incisions around the buttocks.
The implants are then inserted and placed within the gluteal muscle through those incisions.
Normally, the plastic surgeon will strategically place the incisions in areas that are hidden
between the buttocks.
They will not be directly visible.
Additional incisions will be used if you want extra contouring.
During the recovery period, the incisions will heal and develop into scars.
During this period, you should be careful, especially when it comes to sitting and doing physical activities.
Make sure to strictly follow the surgeon's instructions.
Carelessness or heedless disregard of post-op protocols during the recovery period may result
in the development of unsightly and abnormal scars.
Do not expose the scars to direct sunlight or heat for at least 4-6 months after the surgery
because it can negatively affect the scars.
The scars resulting from the butt implants surgery will gradually fade over time.
If the incisions follow the normal course of healing, and if no complications occur,
normal scars will develop that will remain with you forever, but barely noticeable.
Initially, the scars will be red.
After about 4-6 months, they will gradually turn to white.
If you have fair skin, the scars will blend into your skin and to a large degree, scarcely visible.
Please note though that among dark-skinned patients, the scars can be more discernible.
After the surgery, your surgeon will place drain tubes inside the skin at the surgery site
to drain away any fluids or blood discharged from your body.
The drain tube will also leave behind a tiny exit scar that will appear like a tiny circle.
Not to worry because the scar will be too small to be noticed.

Motivational Monday - Duration: 5:19.
Hello, Today I'm sharing with you the first 4 weeks of any fitness program.
And how real I'm going to get with you.
Week #1 "I'm super excited" "I get to workout" "I have a cool planner, and I colour coated
it all my workouts and my food" "I got fun new workout clothes" "YAY" Right, you're on
this adernalin, you're super excited to start a new program.
It's all really exciting and your're excited to sweat.
Right, you're like phew, it doesn't feel as comfortable but you know, it's getting there
and I'm proud of it.
So, that first week happens and you're on this adrenaline rush the whole time.
You're checking in.
You're being accountable.
You're showing people that you're on this new mission.
Week #2 hits, half way through week number two, and I'm going to be honest because I'm
a personal trainer.
I've been one for over 8.5years.
Half way through week #2 whosshhh, we start skipping a workout, or we start rescheduling
the workout.
Or we don't get up early, because we hit the snooze button but we'll workout that night.
So, you're still getting your workout in, it's just not staying on schedule or on track
as you hoped to.
Right?
This is where your head comes into play.
This is when your head is like "Dude, I know what you're about to do, don't really like
it.
You know, the shoes they're a little tight.
Ugh.
The clothes, not loving the squished boobs.
You know like, I don't think I want to get sweaty today- NOPE" So, it's completely minimized
that whole week number 1 of adrenaline.
And interfered with you.
So, week number 2 tail end, kinda struggling.
Right.
Might of missed a workout.
Might of just done it at a different time of day.
But you know, you're still chugging along.
Right.
Like, you're that little engine that could....but it slowly.. . . .. starting to go down.
Week #3 happens, and this is where you need to be mentally strong.
Distractions, will happen.
BOOM BOOM BOOM.
Opp.
Gotta do this email, can't workout.
Opp.
The kids came home from school 2 minutes early, can't workout.
Ohhhhh I hit snooze FOUR TIMES, can't workout.
Right.
Week number 3 is all about your inner strength.
If you can push past week number 3 you are going to be successful.
Week number 3 is where the motivation drops, the adrenaline was gone, it's gone, that little
colour coded calendar - might of only done it for 2 weeks and you're like "crap, it's
not in the schedule, I can't do it" Right.
Every little excuse will come into play in week 3.
This is where you need to remind yourself, have those daily affirmations, have the post
it notes, frigging everywhere!
Put them up!
Put 'em up!
Have them and remember how good you will feel when you are done.
Because truly this is WHY you are doing it.
Right.
You signed up for this fitness program, and by week 3 you're already discouraged.
Right.
Have the affirmations, have the tools in place for your to be successful and PUSH PAST WEEK
3.
And this is WHY I'm sharing this with you.
Then we have week 4, so you've pushed past week 3.
You've gotten your workouts in.
Now, you're on week 4.
Week 4 is that turning point.
So week 3 there was a fork in the road, did you get discouraged and whomp.. or did you
PUSH past and now you're excited!
Week 4 is your reward!
You may be seeing some measurements change, energy increase, strength increase- this is
where you can really start to see those benefits of your commitment.
And your accountability to yourself.
Week number 4 is your reward.
When you get to week number 4 you do a happy dance!
You get excited.
You post up your calendar, re colour code it and get ready for the next 4 weeks!
Week number 4 is that reward.
You've completed 4 weeks, this is where pride comes into play, you're super proud of yourself.
You're jacked!
That adrenaline from week number 4 is going to propel you to your next week and your next
and your next week.
Because you were strong enough and you were STRONG to push past week 3.
And I thank you for that.

with you!

The NEW Nintendo 2DS XL + OnePlus 5 Announced + NO Surface Pro 5 + Oculus Vr Studio Shutdown - Duration: 4:59.
Hey guys Brainy here and welcome to a sort of mini-episode of Tech News.
The series on this channel where I keep you up to date on some of the important things
that have been happening in the Tech Industry.
This video won't have much to talk about, but what I do have to talk about is considerably
interesting.
So stay tuned and let's get into it.
Let's first talk a little bit about the Nintendo 2DS XL.
Nintendo's newly announced handheld gaming console.
The New Nintendo 2DS XL came as a surprise to the tech world.
In the lead-up to the release of the Switch, Nintendo said its new portable hardware and
its old handhelds would coexist.
Despite the 2DS branding, the New 2DS XL bears a much stronger resemblance to the New 3DS
XL than it does to the original budget 2DS.
In fact, from an internal hardware perspective, the New 2DS XL is essentially a New 3DS XL:
it features the same faster and more powerful processor; the same large screens; NFC support
for Amiibo; a full set of Nintendo's L, R, ZL, and ZR shoulder buttons; and a C stick.
Instead of the awkward wedge shape of the 2DS, the New 2DS XL features a clamshell design
similar to every other member of the DS and 3DS line.
The biggest difference between the New 2DS XL and the New 3DS XL is in the name: the
New 2DS ditches the stereoscopic 3D gimmick of the 3DS entirely, opting for standard two-dimensional
displays.
The trade-off is in the price — at $149.99, the New 2DS costs $50 less than the $199.99
New 3DS XL.
To be honest, I don't think anyone was really expecting Nintendo to announce a new console
right after releasing the Nintendo Switch which is already a major success on its own.
As for how well sales will go for the 2DS XL, I don't really think it can reach the
level of the Nintendo Switch but there is a decent chance that it could possibly beat
the 3DS.
The OnePlus 5 will arrive this summer.
The OnePlus 5, the new phone is a successor to the OnePlus 3 and 3T from last year.
Little is known about the new phone itself, but rumors have pegged it to have a dual camera
setup and high-end specs.
The phone is called the OnePlus 5 and not the OnePlus 4 because the number four is considered
unlucky in China, where OnePlus is based.
Though it will be the fifth phone produced by OnePlus, the company says that did not
factor into its naming.
OnePlus has made a name for itself with well-made, high-performing phones that sell for considerably
less than competing flagships from Google, Samsung, and Apple.
The OnePlus 3 and 3T turned out to be some of the best phones released last year, and
if the OnePlus 5 continues this trend, it should be an exciting device for smartphone
enthusiasts.
I'm actually interested to see how this devices does so I'll keep you guys up to
date with any news around the OnePlus 5.
Microsoft's Surface chief says "there's no such thing as a Surface Pro 5".
Microsoft's devices chief, Panos Panay, has strongly hinted that the company isn't
ready to launch a Surface Pro 5.
In an interview with CNET, Panay says Microsoft will launch the Surface Pro 5 when it has
achieved enough "meaningful change" to make it a new product.
"Meaningful change isn't necessarily a hardware change, which is what a lot of people look
for," explains Panay.
"They're like, 'Where's the latest processor?'
That's not what I mean.
I'm looking for an experiential change that makes a huge difference in product line."
Panay explains "there's no such thing as a Pro 5," which suggests that we won't
see a true successor to the Surface Pro 4 anytime soon.
The first details emerged about a potential "Surface Pro 5" recently, suggesting that
the successor would switch to a Kaby Lake processor without any other dramatic differences.
It's likely that Microsoft is simply planning to refresh its Surface Pro 4 with the latest
Intel processors, and the timing of Panay's comments come just before Microsoft announced
another hardware event.
Oculus is closing its VR film studio.
Oculus is closing Story Studio, the in-house virtual reality film studio known for producing
the Emmy Award-winning short Henry alongside other pieces.
In a statement, Oculus VP of content Jason Rubin explained that the Facebook-owned company
was shifting its focus to funding outside creators, putting $50 million toward artists
making non-gaming "experiential" VR.
Oculus will also provide resources like tutorials, development best practices, and networking
opportunities.
"We're still absolutely committed to growing the VR film and creative content ecosystem,"
wrote Rubin.
However, "now that a large community of filmmakers and developers are committed to
the narrative VR art form, we're going to focus on funding and supporting their content."
An Oculus spokesperson said that some of these experiences could be released through Oculus
Studios, which currently publishes major VR games like Rock Band VR and Robo Recall.
The two-year, $50 million pledge is supposed to be a minimum figure; it will be drawn from
an existing $250 million fund that currently supports both games and films.

In today's video we're discussing split ends a topic which proves to be problematic in
the beard community.
Split ends are when the ends of the beard hair split in two.
Beards are a symbol of greatness and a staple of manhood, and if you're watching this you
take pride in that glorious face crown we call a beard.
But they don't want you to be great, they don't want you to take pride, they don't want
you to be majestic.
Who are they might you ask?
Split ends man!
They don't want you to shine.
You see man, split ends are the number 1 beard hater of all time.
They want you to be a naked face mole rat.
But what they don't know is that you got Big Beard B. Today i'm going to show you how to
reduce and end those PESKY SPLIT ENDS FOREVER!
See I personally hate split ends, not only do they damage your beard, it makes it look
like shit and it can cause the hair to completely fall out.
Now this problem occurs because of you , it's your fault, but we'll get it fixed.
Poorly maintained beards are prone to split ends.
They commonly occur from dry and brittle hair, excessive and aggressive combing, excessive
and aggressive brushing and heat.
With that stated, its of extreme importance to properly maintain your beard and use quality
products if you want your beard to grow and look great.
All-in-all the best way to prevent split ends is to shy away from the things that cause them.
In addition to staying away from things that could potentially harm your beard, you'll
find it beneficial to give your beard plenty of things that are good for it.
Be sure to check the videos listed and linked in the description box on ways to promote
healthy beard growth.
If you notice split ends its best to handle them before they get out of hand.
Try using a nice pair of sheers or beard trimmers to rid your beard of split ends.
Make sure you're using a nice sharp pair of scissors, dull scissors will do nothing but
lead to more split ends.
Remember keep your beard healthy and well nourished to keep it looking EPIC!!

Motivational Monday - Duration: 5:19.Hello, Today I'm sharing with you the first 4 weeks of any fitness program.
And how real I'm going to get with you.
Week #1 "I'm super excited" "I get to workout" "I have a cool planner, and I colour coated
it all my workouts and my food" "I got fun new workout clothes" "YAY" Right, you're on
this adernalin, you're super excited to start a new program.
It's all really exciting and your're excited to sweat.
Right, you're like phew, it doesn't feel as comfortable but you know, it's getting there
and I'm proud of it.
So, that first week happens and you're on this adrenaline rush the whole time.
You're checking in.
You're being accountable.
You're showing people that you're on this new mission.
Week #2 hits, half way through week number two, and I'm going to be honest because I'm
a personal trainer.
I've been one for over 8.5years.
Half way through week #2 whosshhh, we start skipping a workout, or we start rescheduling
the workout.
Or we don't get up early, because we hit the snooze button but we'll workout that night.
So, you're still getting your workout in, it's just not staying on schedule or on track
as you hoped to.
Right?
This is where your head comes into play.
This is when your head is like "Dude, I know what you're about to do, don't really like
it.
You know, the shoes they're a little tight.
Ugh.
The clothes, not loving the squished boobs.
You know like, I don't think I want to get sweaty today- NOPE" So, it's completely minimized
that whole week number 1 of adrenaline.
And interfered with you.
So, week number 2 tail end, kinda struggling.
Right.
Might of missed a workout.
Might of just done it at a different time of day.
But you know, you're still chugging along.
Right.
Like, you're that little engine that could....but it slowly.. . . .. starting to go down.
Week #3 happens, and this is where you need to be mentally strong.
Distractions, will happen.
BOOM BOOM BOOM.
Opp.
Gotta do this email, can't workout.
Opp.
The kids came home from school 2 minutes early, can't workout.
Ohhhhh I hit snooze FOUR TIMES, can't workout.
Right.
Week number 3 is all about your inner strength.
If you can push past week number 3 you are going to be successful.
Week number 3 is where the motivation drops, the adrenaline was gone, it's gone, that little
colour coded calendar - might of only done it for 2 weeks and you're like "crap, it's
not in the schedule, I can't do it" Right.
Every little excuse will come into play in week 3.
This is where you need to remind yourself, have those daily affirmations, have the post
it notes, frigging everywhere!
Put them up!
Put 'em up!
Have them and remember how good you will feel when you are done.
Because truly this is WHY you are doing it.
Right.
You signed up for this fitness program, and by week 3 you're already discouraged.
Right.
Have the affirmations, have the tools in place for your to be successful and PUSH PAST WEEK
3.
And this is WHY I'm sharing this with you.
Then we have week 4, so you've pushed past week 3.
You've gotten your workouts in.
Now, you're on week 4.
Week 4 is that turning point.
So week 3 there was a fork in the road, did you get discouraged and whomp.. or did you
PUSH past and now you're excited!
Week 4 is your reward!
You may be seeing some measurements change, energy increase, strength increase- this is
where you can really start to see those benefits of your commitment.
And your accountability to yourself.
Week number 4 is your reward.
When you get to week number 4 you do a happy dance!
You get excited.
You post up your calendar, re colour code it and get ready for the next 4 weeks!
Week number 4 is that reward.
You've completed 4 weeks, this is where pride comes into play, you're super proud of yourself.
You're jacked!
That adrenaline from week number 4 is going to propel you to your next week and your next
and your next week.
Because you were strong enough and you were STRONG to push past week 3.
And I thank you for that.
Thank you pushing past week number 3 because I know that head game comes in and screws
with you!

So I came across a kotaku article this morning about a trippy Donkey Kong Country VaporWave
fan game.
That description pretty much speaks for itself.
It's essentially a mash up between DKC and the Vaporwave genre.
It looked pretty interesting so I thought I'd download it and share the experience
with you.
It's a very short game - only a few minutes in length but it was a fun experience.

Cherie St. Cyr, Fiber Artist (Part 1 of 2) - NANCY'S CORNER - Duration: 5:28.- My guest today on Nancy's Corner
starts with a bolt of white or black fabric
and transforms what is mundane
into brightly hand-dyed fabrics
to use in her art quilts.
Please welcome Cherie St. Cyr,
who is a fiber artist from Madison, Wisconsin.
Cherie, I fell in love with your quilts
when I saw them on display, and I thought,
"Our viewers have to know about you."
- Thank you.
I'm so happy to be here.
I was wondering how you found me,
and that you saw my exhibit
at the University of Wisconsin Hospital.
- I did.
And we're going to start by sharing with you one of Cherie's quilts,
and it's called "Bear Paw."
But, a bear paw is a traditional design,
but this is not traditional. - Right.
So this quilt, I made for a competition
from the American Quilters Society,
- Mm-hmm. - And I used my hand-dyed
potato dextrin fabric both in the direct dye application
and in the discharge application,
and then I've never really been
a traditional quilter. - [laughs]
- I kind of cut wonky lines
and used all my crazy black and white and red fabric.
It was really fun to do.
- So it's a bear-paw quilt, as you mentioned, exploded.
- Exploded, yes. - Yes, so it's fun.
So we're going to have two interviews with Cherie,
and we're going to start today with how you work with fabric
because I think this is fascinating.
Not that we're going to exactly give you all the details,
but to see what starts
with black fabric or white fabric,
and this is one of your...
- It's a tie-dyed star,
like the shirt I'm wearing. - Mm-hmm.
- I taught a discharge class
to the Madison Sewers Guild... - Uh-huh.
- And I started kind of rolling in it.
So this is a final product. - Okay, yeah, fun.
But it doesn't look this way at the first stop.
- No, it's black
and it gets tied, like this... - Uh-huh.
- And then I put bleach on it
and it discharges.
Not all black fabrics discharge to white.
This is a sort of a special one. - Sure.
- Some go to copper.
Some go to any other color, so...
And then, before I untie it,
I neutralize the bleach.
I soak it in soda ash.
I work with Procion fiber-reactive dyes,
and then I put the dye on
and I let that-- it's called batching,
which is just sit around and be warm
for 4 to 24 hours.
- Now you have to tell our viewers
what you call yourself. - [chuckles]
- "A washer woman?"
Well, I say, "To be a fiber artist
is to be a washer woman," so... - [laughs]
- Because things take a lot of washing.
- Uh-huh. - So this piece was white.
- Oh, fun.
- It's cotton sateen.
It was white and I died it navy blue.
I call this one of the most beautiful pieces I ever dyed.
And then, I put the potato dextrin,
which is one of 114 sugars from potato,
on with my hands. It's kind of like corn starch.
You put it on and then as it dries,
it cracks, and I use thickened dye to--
thickened bleach, sorry, to put over it,
and then waited
for the bleach to take the color out,
and then rinsed it.
- Oh, wow, wish you could feel this fabric.
It's weighty. It feels good.
- I love this stuff.
- We have a few more to show you during this segment,
and this is very dramatic, as well.
- But here's the front side. - Oh, here's the front side.
- Sateen, you know, always has a front side.
- So this is a direct application
of the sugar from potatoes.
It looks really quite like corn starch,
and then I was starting to run out of it one day,
and so I made a silk screen,
and I screen-printed, kind of with a little doctoring
in Photoshop... - [Nancy laughs]
- In the positive and in the negative...
- Ah, nice, nice.
Now, Cherie, where do you
dye the fabric?
- I have a studio in my basement
of my home on the near-east side.
When I'm doing large work-- this is small work.
This is a fat quarter.
This is dye painting,
but I do big yardage backs of quilts...
- [chuckles] - Giant paintings,
90" x 90". - Oh, fun.
- I do those outside in the summer.
- And you have a fine point, and just...
- I have a squirty bottle,
like a hairdresser would put color on your hair.
- And, wow, let's show one more
'cause this is a clamp area.
- This is a clamped,
and I tied wiffle balls... - [chuckles]
- ...into it, and did color.
- Oh, lovely, lovely,
and, yeah, you can see here are the wiffle balls, and...
- And here, clamped plexiglass shapes.
- So, many of these fabrics
have been used in your quilts.
We're going to see some of those in our next segment
following the program... - Yeah.
