Arts and Crafts E.02! Prrrrrrrretty persian! Painting from Michelle - Duration: 9:49.

Hi guys!

Welcome to a new episode of the Pokemuggles!

I am Michelle and in this episode I am going to give you a retrospective peak into a painting

that I made.

Please note that I did not have a camera yet when I making this painting, but I have pictures

of it so I am going to show you all the pictures and narrate it perfectly into a very nice

story.

For those who might recognize this, it is Pokemon painted from one of the very first

sets, the Jungle Set.

I absolutely love the Jungle Set.

I love the color work, I love the way the Pokemon are displayed.

And every time I see something from the Jungle Set I get really nostalgic and I feel like

a little kid again, because I was a little kid when that one came out.

So that is why I decided to make this one in a painting so every time I see it, I just

get...

I am just being transported back to being a kid again.

So without further ado, I really hope that you guys enjoy this picture that I painted.

So the first thing that I needed to do was to lay down a base color.

I have used acryllic paint from a medium range brand.

I always use Ocer Yellow for the base, because in my experience it blends perfectly with

the other colors.

It makes sure that you don't have any white left in the background.

Actually, it is my go-to color for making a base for a painting.

Unless of course I have a painting which has a cool color scheme, then I would use a blue

base color.

The canvas is 90 by 70 centimeters, and it has a wooden frame.

It is quite big actually, which you will see at the end of this video.

I took a big brush, watered down the ocher yellow a bit and applied the base color.

Then I got my pencil and started to sketch persian.

I had a little bit of help from a template.

This because the head is a bit difficult to make in the right proportions of the body.

So I needed a little bit of help.

I sketched the persian, and the tree in the back, as you can see.

Time for step two!

In this step I focused on the background of the painting.

Persian is laying down on a field of purple grass or flowers.

One of the reasons that I loooved this image was because it has a lot of purple in it,and

I just got a tube of purple paint so it was a match made in heaven haha.

I used a bit of an impressionistic style, which you may well know from famous painters

like Monet and Van Gogh.

Instead of using one specific color, I painted layer by layer to get this typical dotted

background.

You can use very tiny brushstrokes to create this effect.

I started with light purple, and every layer I went a shade darker.

I did this for the purple background, but I also used this for the yellow background.

I added different layers of darker and brighter yellow, so that it had the same effect.

You can see a green outline that I did in the background, that was actually a little

bit of a mistake.

it turned out much bigger than anticipated.

I am going to correct this in a later stage.

Third phase!

In this phase I started to make a little bit more details in the background, I used bright

pink to fill in the trees.

As you can see there is one big tree behind Persian, a small tree all the way to the right

and a treetop on Persian's hip.

It looks a little bit weird right now, but once the painting is completed this comes together

quite nicely.

I also started to correct the mistake with the green outline in the back.

I painted it over with yellow and white layers of dotwork.

This way it does not stand out as much as it did before.

The next step was quite a challenge, because I don't really have a steady hand or great

affinity for details hehe.

I now started with the outline of persian.

In hindsight it was better to do this later, but I've learned on the job.

I took a very small brush and with black paint I made the whole outline so that his contours

are a little bit more pronounced.

I also blended more bright pink in the trees, so that their base color was completed.

I added some highlights on the branches to make a start with the details of the tree.

It is starting to come together quite nicely!!

I have used the same impressionistic style to add details to the trees.

I used very bright pink and bright red, to make it look like it is a cherry blossom tree. Very Japanese!

I think it actually turned out pretty nice.

I have also started to put a little bit of dotwork on the tree on Persian's hip, and

on the tree to the right.

The tree on the right looks at the moment more like a nuclear detonation instead of

a tree.

I will correct this later on!

As you can see, when you are painting you make a lot of mistakes, and the awesome thing

of the impressionistic style is that no matter how many mistakes you make, you can always

correct them later.

In this step I have also started to color in Persian.

I used ocer yellow and some shades of brown to blend in the colors.

As you can see, the Persian is more of a cartoonish style than the impressionistic style of the

rest of the painting.

I did this on purpose so that he would pop out of the background.

Time to add a little bit more color!

I love the purple but felt like something was missing.

So therefore I added bright red, yellow and green dots, so that it looks like Persian

is lying in a field of flowers, rather than in a field of purple grass.

I also blended in the colors of Persian a bit more, so that it is more even and smoother.

I used very dark brown and black to paint the ears, and I used bright red to make a

beginning on the jewel on the head.

You want a close up?

You get a close up!

Over here it is clearer to see how the individual brush strokes were done.

You can see the all the different colors, red, blue, yellow, green white and purple.

I have also started to color in the eyes.

They were blank first, and now they have dark red pupils.

I also added a little bit of green in the trees so that they seem a little bit more

natural.

That is, as natural as it can get with pink trees!

In the final stage of the painting I did not do that much.

I played with the colors until I was satisfied with the result, and I made sure that Persian

was completely blended in and had a smooth surface.

I added some more white dots to the yellow background so that It seems like flower petals

are flying.

I deepened the colors of the flower field and the colors of the trees.

And I think that's about it!

This was the final step of the painting.

I will show you guys a close up photo and then a little bit of video so that you get

a clear picture of how it turned out.

So guys, that was it for today.

I really hope that you enjoyed this painting.

If you have perhaps any idea for a future painting, put them in the comment section

below and I will make sure to check it out.

Perhaps one of your ideas will be my next inspiration for a beautiful painting.

I love it.

So see you guys later!

Byebye!

How to create account in Gmail 2017 🔵 - Duration: 7:15.

Channel vignette

Hey guys

In this video we'll create a new account in Gmail

Let's show you how to fill each field

In the account creation process

And we will also show the newness of Gmail that is the new login screen

And for us to start, I'm already like Google Chrome open

And here we go in this shortcut to the Google Chrome browser applications

And let's choose Gmail

Remembering that if you do not use Google Chrome

I will be making available in the description of this video that link for you to have access

To this page with three options

Gmail to work, sign in and create an account

Let's create an account here

This is where we fill in the fields, starting with "Name"

I will put as an example the name "Video Editor"

And now let's choose the email address, username

Remembering

Well, it seems to be right, you did not report any errors, so this user address is available

Remember, if you put dates like 2016 2017 it becomes difficult to change after

Because they are temporary and then it becomes difficult to change

I particularly do not enter annual dates in emails such as, 2017 or 2018

Because you can not change later, you end up having to create a new account

So let's continue creating a new password

Let's repeat the password or confirm this password

Choose the day of birth or rather by saying the day, month and year

Choose sex

And here is where we inform the contact number to help in the recovery of the password, if you forget

Very important people put this number to help in your account

And we will continue

Now let's put the existing email address to help with password recovery

After that choose the location and click on "Next Step"

And here he explains privacies and terms how it works

How Google handles your data

Security, information and then we will click on "I accept"

Done that it already shows a welcome screen and we will click on "Continue to Gmail"

Good, here it is already with gmail open and here is with the screen to login in Google Chrome

I'm not going to do it now so I'm going to close this window

And here it already shows the customization options of Gmail that is there

Choose the background organize the tabs, and we will click next

And he does the presentations

Or agent can click on the X and close

And that's it, the gmail account has already been created successfully

Now we will show the new login screen

Coming back here on that page we were before

Or by opening a new tab

And we'll go to this option located here

We can already see the new Gmail login screen

And there's the new login screen

So this is personal

Just ask them to give a like in the video to help in the disclosure. And I'll stick around.

Indie Game News: Tycoon News - May 2017 - Duration: 5:53.

Hello Indie Game Lovers, Nerds and Nerdettes my name is Feniks and this is the Indie Game

News.

First things first if you are regular to the series you can skip this intro by using time

stamp in the description.

For rest of you quick intro.

In this series we are going to focus on all the hot news from the world of Indie Games.

Today we look at Tycoon genre.

This videos are packed with informations so sit back, take your time and stay focused

for next few minutes, feel free to pause at any time.

I cover other genres as well so feel free to check my channel afterwards.

As always we are going to start with updates of already existing games.

Wind of Trade has been updated to version 1.1 this version adds several new features

to the game.

You are now able to attack competition ships and blockade the port.

Doing so will damage opponent economical power but comes at cost of your own reputation.

You can now assemble the fleets and give them standing orders creating trade routes which

synergizes nicely with new ability to build warehouses and upgrade trade offices.

Apart of that many improvements to the game itself and bug fixes.

Wind of trades is starting to look better and better and I am glad that developer put

more work into the project after slightly shaky releases.

For those of you who are new to this game Winds of Trade is a Trading Company symulator

set in fictional procedurally generated world sometime in 17th and 18th century.

Your job is to expand your fleet, establish trade routes and outsmart competition while

dealing with laws of supply and demand.

SimAirport has seen 2 big patches in April adding more content to the game and fixing

many of ongoing bugs.

Game has seen great improvements to its performance thanks to updated path finding algorithms.

Players will have opportunity to build multiple security wings.

We have seen changes and improvements to passenger behaviour and boarding times.

Apart of that many, many bug fixes, tweaks and improvements that make playing a game

more enjoyable.

This Airport Tycoon game sits currently on positive 76% review score on steam and is

still in early access.

We have one notable release last month that i am aware of.

Dominia released on 3rd of April.

Dominia is a gladiator manager simulator.

Take a role of ancient roman slave master who trains, and pitches gladiators to fight

each other as well as various beasts all that for a glory of Rome.

In Dominia you will be able to purchase new champions upgrade their skills and equipment

but also use your cunning outside of arena to secure special favours from Roman nobles

to help you succeed in the fight.

With certain training you will be able to take control of your gladiators directly shaping

the battle.

Alright time for announcements

The Production Line is set to release on Early Access on 18th of May.

700 HP Mercedes AMG C63 S Manhart CR700 Review by AutoTopNL - Duration: 6:42.

The C63 S is

a crazy machine ofcourse

especially with the performance exhaust

with those bangs..

it's violent..

but..

there's always room for

something more extreme..

and Manhart

is a famous BMW tuner

and they've now also started doing AMG

I have to say

their first try..

is not bad!

This is in Sport+ mode

The valves in the exhaust open

and the sound is..

Ridiculous!

This exhaust is just crazy as **

One of the best sounding AMG's ever

Those bangs on the downshifts..

and when you release the throttle

just amazing!

And Manhart have created this CR700

by

pushing all the elements

that make an AMG an AMG

they cranked everything up!

EVERYTHING

sound

power

about 700 HP

Torque is now 900-950 NM

The sound is extreme

looks..

This is an edition1

So you have matte grey

with yellow accents

Manhart have fitted 21 inch rims

with that yellow accent

So they kept the same theme

And they added some yellow lines

on the spoiler

the diffuser

front bumper

and there's also a yellow surprise under the hood

For the owner to enjoy

This is the C63 S

on steroids!

Driving this Manhart CR700

is

a bizar experience!

You keep getting overwhelmed by the sound

You just want to keep creating

these awesome sounds

A lot of downshifts

and up again!

Down a few again

And those 700+ horses

make for a loose backend

in ESP Sport mode it allows some sliding

And it's more predictable then

Because with ESP on it keeps cutting power

OK now what have they done

to get that power

out of this 4.0 V8 BiTurbo

different turbo's

downpipe

and exhaust

ECU tune

MH Cantronic

with different software

so 700+ HP

quite easily..

If you have a C63 S

or C63

I think that if you drive this

you never want to go back

this is so bizar..

The experience is just a lot fiercer

And Manhart did a fantastic job

making a more extreme C63 S

It's not like a tuner car

OK lets do a pull away

from a stand still

ESP is in Sport

Thats wheelspin

through three gears!

This is the AMG of your dreams!

or nightmare..

Top 10 Bizarre Sexual Traditions You Won't Believe Actually Exist - Duration: 7:29.

Top 10 Bizarre Sexual Traditions You Won't Believe Actually Exist

If you thought that the sex in the back seat of your car or binding the partner for the bed is exotic, you are wrong.

Throughout the human history, many people had a variety of unusual sex traditions and some of them are practiced even in the 21st century.

From public masturbation to drinking the semen, we bring you a list of bizarre sexual practices around the globe. Here is our top 10 list of the most bizarre sexual traditions.

1. The Sambia Tribe's Initiation

The Sambians are the tribe from Papua New Guinea and they have a really weird way of manhood initiation.

. In this tribe, the boys can become men only if they drink the seeds of their elders, when they turn 17.

This is not the only bizarre part of growing up, of the male children in this tribe. From the age of 7 to the maturity ritual,

the boys live only with men and they are obligated to regularly cause themselves a bleeding from the nose.

Once they are married, men must continue to cause nose bleeding every time when their wives have their periods.

2. Mardudjara Aborigines Maturity Ritual

Mardudjara Aborigines come from Australia and they have a maturity ritual that combines the barbarity of circumcision and swallowing of removed foreskin of the penis.

But, do not think that the worst part is over. When the guys finally recover from the circumcision, they must endure another painful step in this process of initiation.

They get a cut on the underside of the penis by its length, which can be so deep that after the cutting they spent the whole life urinating through the newly created hole.

We assume that there is probably some explanation for this whole process, but we concluded that it might be better to leave that for an article about some bizarre beliefs.

3. Saut d'Eau Ritual

In Haiti, there is a town by the name of Saut d'Eau. Every summer, the town is holding the ritual, which is dedicated to the goddess of love.

Those who practice voodoo, gather around and participate in a big orgy.

This bizarre ritual sounds almost acceptable, but if you have imagined many intertwined naked bodies under the moonlit waterfall, you are wrong.

It is more like a bunch of naked people covered in mud and blood of sacrificed animals. In short, it is rather a scene of horror than the scene from porn films.

4. Nepali's Polyandry

Nepali people have very little land that is suitable for agriculture. So, when it comes to the inheritance of the land it is really hard to keep the parcels in the family.

And the parcels would become smaller and smaller in a short period of time. Then, Ingenious people of the Himalayas, have found the solution.

They married all the brothers to only one wife, so the land remains in the family and one large family can live under one roof. In conclusion, economy can be a really weird thing.

5. Egyptian God Worship Ritual

In ancient Egypt, there was the belief that the existence of the Nile is a result of the Atum (the god of creation) ejaculation.

This belief gave birth to the traditional Pharaoh masturbating by the river.

The people were so enthusiastic about the Pharaoh's personal dedication that they immediately found a way for them to contribute to the general joy.

So, many men started to masturbate in public in the name of God Min who was the divinity of the Pharaoh potency.

In today's world, such an act would surely end up in arresting all the participants of the event.

6. Greeks And The Sexual Dominance

In ancient Greece, being gay was a completely normal thing. Greeks were not worried on whether it is a man or a woman when it comes to the sex.

But, the thing that mattered the most was in the performance. The main question is who performs the penetration, and who is being penetrated.

The importance of active and passive position in sex, for the Greeks, was associated with the dominance.

Men or members of higher social status were penetrators and women and members of lower social status were penetrated.

7. The Wodaabe Wife Stealing

The Wodaabe tribe that comes from Niger is known for marrying their own cousins.

These first marriages are organized by their parents, but many of the married couples succeed in getting a divorce at the Gerewol festival.

Once a year, the members of the tribe gather at the festival called Gerewol with painted faces and costumes appropriate for the occasion.

On the day of the festival they are trying to seduce other men's wives. Those who manage to sneak out of the party with a new partner are officially counted as a newly married couple.

8. Middle Age Investigators

In the Middle Ages, when a man could not do his duty in bed, the Church would send a private investigators.

Investigators were the wise women who would conduct a full research on a mans penis that can't perform an erection.

. After that, they would bring a conclusion, regarding the patient's general health and whether he could make children.

In a case of the deformation of the penis or some other valid reason why there can be no intercourse, marriage could be annulled.

9. Nyotaimori

Nyotaimori is a really unusual Japanese tradition. It has its origins in the samurai period, when it was organized to celebrate a victory in the battle.

It is a tradition of eating sushi from the mostly naked female body or in the case of eating from a naked man's body, it would be called Nantaimori.

Justification for the bizarre Japanese table is the fact that the body temperature can maintain the temperature of the meal.

Although, the whole thing looks obviously sexual, Japanese consider it sexual only if the girl's crotch is unshaven.

10. Iranian Sex Law

By the Iranian law, couples who have sex or even date and hold hands and are not married can be fined, arrested or even flogged.

A small part of Iranians, found a convenient way to avoid the law when it comes to sexual intercourses before the marriage.

A young couple may pay for a brief ceremony and a formal agreement, which states that they are married for a certain period of time.

They can choose the duration of marriage from 3 minutes to 100 years.

So, since they are technically married, the man and the woman can then enjoy sex as much as they want without breaking the law.

Are You Thinking About Breathing While You Read This? (Now You Are) - Duration: 5:36.

If we just hung out here in silence for a second…

Yep, we're both still breathing.

Whew.

It has a lot of names: hypoxic drive, respiration, breathing… needless to say, you know what

it is.

It's this.

But have you ever thought about it?

I mean not in the way that you're thinking about breathing now.

HA.

Deal with that.

But have you thought about how your body does this when you're asleep, when you're distracted

or really focused.

No matter what you're doing (for the most part) your body is breathing for you.

That drive to breathe is strong.

The reason you can do it without thinking is because your brainstem is doing the work

and making the decisions.

But we'll come back to that in a sec.

Breathing is a really complex balance of pulling oxygen in from the environment, and getting

carbon dioxide out of your blood.

Even though we need oxygen to survive, the main influencer of the drive to breathe isn't

oxygen, but CO2 -- or really, CO2's tendency to dissolve into water.

Out in the world, carbon dioxide binds with H2O to create carbonic acid… it's why

a glass of water left overnight tastes funny.

It's gots CO2 in it.

The more CO2 there is in your blood, the more acidic it is.

The brain doesn't like blood that's too acidic or too basic, so it needs to monitor

it constantly.

That's why, spread throughout all this are chemoreceptors … central chemorteceptors

are in your brain … peripheral chemoreceptors are in the body's blood vessels.

Those receptors sense subtle shifts in the levels of carbon dioxide and the acidity of

your blood, and send that info to the respiratory centers in the medulla of your brain stem.

Based on the acidity readings from those chemoreceptors, your brain directs your lungs to make little

adjustments in your rate of breathing to try and keep your CO2 levels as steady as possible.

It happens all the time.

Now you're thinking about your breathing again.

HA!

Here's the fun part.

If you're say, HYPOventilating, HYPER in medical context makes sense -- it's FAST.

HYPO is the opposite.

Slow…

So you're HYPOventilating…

When that happens, the CO2 level goes up, and your brain wants to get rid of it!

So, it drives you to breathe more.

That's called the hypercapnic drive to breathe…

HYPO - HYPER.

Thus if you're HYPERventilating, then your carbon dioxide level goes down… that's

called HYPOcapnia… the drive to breathe goes down as well.

This all makes sense.

And yet, we wouldn't be humans if we didn't see something working beautifully and say,

"Hold my beer."

The hypoxic drive is part of the autonomic nervous system -- pupil dilation, heartbeat,

breathing, digestion -- all that stuff.

It's like the Morlocks of the civilization that is your body.

Nerd reference.

Anyway.

Sometimes people try to trick their brains and create a state of HYPOcapnia -- low CO2,

remember? -- by hyperventilating on purpose.

I'm talking about Freedivers.

To hold their breath for a long time, some freedivers will hyperventilate before ducking

into the water.

They can stay underwater longer BUT!!

BIG B-U-T.

This hypocapnic state can cause a phenomenon called "ascent blackout" which is deadly.

Basically, the hyperventilation makes you get rid of more carbon dioxide, making you

want to breathe slower.

But, while underwater, you're not replacing O2, for obvious reasons.

Remember, your brain isn't as driven by the need for O2 as it is driven by clearing

CO2.

So, after a bit with low CO2 levels and decreasing O2 levels, the diver runs out of oxygen to

burn, and passes out.

All without the brain ever triggering the sympathetic nervous system to kick in and

breathe.

Instead, the diver has to surface and intentionally take a breath in time.

This is super dangerous.

DON'T DO IT.

SERIOUSLY.

Don't.

This can even happen in shallow water… it's called shallow water blackout.

And people die.

Of course, even though CO2 is the driver, oxygen still matters!

The brain does monitor oxygen levels.

If they drop really low, the body will kick that drive to breathe again.

But this matters more at high altitudes where there's less air -- that's a whole other

thing.

Look, the bottom line here is -- when you're not thinking about breathing your body is

doing LOTS OF THINGS to keep you alive.

Respiration is a base function of a living thing.

So, we're really good at doing this even when we're distracted by our phones, or

are driving, or sleeping!

The body is such a cool machine.

Jenny Rissveds Scott Spark RC 900 | GMBN Pro Bikes - Duration: 6:07.

- Right, this has got to be one of the most

successful XC bikes out there.

This is Jenny Risvets' Scott Spark pro bike check.

(upbeat hip-hop music)

Like always, I'm gonna start off with the frame.

It's a full carbon bike, so it has a carbon front triangle,

carbon rear triangle, and the suspension

travels at 100 mil.

It's a nice little Topeak carbon

bottle cage there, to go with it.

But this is a signature bike, just for her.

You cannot get this out there on the market.

It's got her name on it.

So there, it says Jenny Risvets.

She got the top flag there, it's the Swedish flag,

so that means she's a national champ.

Then, she's got the rainbow colours under there,

she's under 23, world champ in this category,

so she gets the colours.

Right, there's one thing I wanna point out on this bike:

these details are not stickers,

they are painted in from factory.

That is pro.

Moving on to the drive chain, this is SRAM XX1.

It's Eagle, it's gold, and it is sick.

It's one by 12, it's 50 to 10 on the rear.

On the front, it's a 36-tooth.

She's got carbon cranks, she's got

some Ritchey V6 pedals,

clipped, so she can't get out.

Alright, moving on to the wheel.

This is where you start to see a lot of gold coming into it.

She's not only just a national champ in her country,

she's not under 23 UCI world champ,

she is an Olympic winner, so this is where

all the gold comes into it.

This is a DT Swiss wheel build, carbon rim,

full carbon, with some Maxxis Aspen wheels,

super high-rolling tyre for those fast speeds.

Right, much like the rear, DT Swiss wheel build,

Maxxis tyre, just you start to see a little bit more gold.

Look here, #GoldStandard,

gold nipples, gold on the hub.

Even the SRAM logo on the brake is gold.

The thing with these front forks here,

the Rockshox SID: special, special colour.

Nino Schurter and Jenny Risvets are the only ones

that has this colour, and it's got her name on it,

and it's a hundred mil of travel.

Right, moving up to the cockpit of the bike.

Every rider out there has their difference

in bar length, drop, rise, everything.

For Jenny, she's got 680 length of bar,

full carbon Syncros bar.

She has 90 mil reach on her stem, it's a Syncros XR

1.5, with a 25-degree sweep down,

not up, so it's a low riding position,

and the bar has a five-mil drop as well.

So that's quite a low-riding bar.

Right, these are the controls; there's a lot going on here,

it's like spaghetti junction,

but they all do a purpose.

She's got a Garmin computer here, that takes her time in,

her heart rate, and all that distance she does on the ride.

Moving on to the brakes, she's got some SRAM

Level Ultimate; this is where you can see

a little bit more gold, look at that, on both levers.

Then she's got the Scott TwinLoc, right here,

so that locks out the suspension, front and rear.

You don't want it to sag on those big, big climbs.

She's got a nice Rockshox dropper post.

That is weird.

This is an XC bike, and she's got dropper posts.

Talk about dropper seat posts,

this is a Rockshox Reverb, and I was speaking

to her mechanic, Yonic, and he's doctored this one

so that it only drops 30 mil.

That is interesting.

And then, all those hours of sitting on that saddle,

she's sitting on her own signature saddle,

Jenny Risvets, it's a Syncros saddle,

and it's full carbon down to the rails,

gives it that extra rigidity.

Right, enough of me talking about your bike.

I'm gonna ask you a few questions.

Are you, like, super nitty picky on a few settings,

or is it just?

- No, to be honest, I'm not that into the mechanical

part of mountain biking,

but I'm trying to learn,

'cause this is actually, it's my job

to know about my own bike.

So, what I'm trying to get used to,

is the suspension, and the fork, yeah,

fork pressure, and-- - 'Cause you raced

hardtail, for a long time. - Yeah, I did,

and I jumped on a full suspension, last season,

for the first time, and I really liked it.

- Way more comfortable on those long rides?

- Yeah.

As soon as you get used to it,

and learn how to handle it, 'cause

it's a completely different riding style.

You have to go more aggressive, and,

if you learn how to handle it, then you can use it

for your advantage.

Yeah, it's super cool, I really like it.

- Right, I see this little lever here, on an XC bike,

and you've got one of these.

You've got dropper posts on a full blown bike.

What's that?

Is that new?

- Yeah, I tried it.

We did the Cape Epic, a state race in South Africa,

and I tried it for the first time,

and I'm, yeah, I really, I love it.

And so, I will also try it out at the world cups,

the upcoming World Cup season,

and see how it works.

I'm able to drop 30mm, which is quite,

it's not that much. - Still, it's not that much,

but it's enough for you to get far back over.

- 'Cause I really like to,

I like when I can still sit on the saddle,

but drop a little bit, and then I have,

yeah, a little bit more control and bike handling,

and cornering, corners, and-- - And on those descents

as well. - Yeah.

So, yeah, that's a new thing, and so far,

I really like it. - Yeah, I noticed.

We have to mention the colours.

- [Interviewer] Oh yes, yeah.

It's beautiful. - The most important thing

on my bike, in my opinion.

No, and actually, it's a custom fork, from Rockshox,

with a, yeah, at least, I don't know what to say

about the, what the colour is called,

but turquoise, in Swedish.

- Turquoise. - Turquoise.

- Turquoise. - Yeah.

That's my favourite colour.

- Thank you so much for showing off your bike, Jenny.

I like it, it's a super nice bike.

Thumbs up for a beer? - Duration: 5:02.

One of the things you're routinely told about Germany is that if you want one beer,

you hold up your thumb.

Because that is how you signal "one".

Is that true?

This has become a particularly popular fact

after the release of the movie "Inglourious Basterds".

And although that was a long time ago I should in fairness mention

that I am about the reveal a major plot point.

In one scene, a British spy blows his cover

by asking for three glasses and showing three fingers,

when the German way is to show a thumb and two fingers.

From that, it seems that people have inferred

that if you want to order one of something, you give the thumbs-up sign.

It's logical... but...

If you're German, I'm going to have to ask you to help me out here,

because personally, I have never in my life

ever seen a German order a beer, or anything else, like this.

If you think about it for just one moment, though,

it's not a very good way of ordering anything at all.

If you see somebody stick some fingers in the air,

what are you supposed to think?

And even if it ever was a way of ordering a beer,

what kind of beer are you ordering?

A lager? A wheat beer? A pilsner? A kölsch?

Or is the server just supposed to magically know?

In the movie, the character actually asks for three whisky glasses

in excellent German,

but gives himself away by accompanying that with an unusual hand-gesture.

If only he'd kept his hand down, he might have got away with it.

Remember the context of the movie: it's wartime.

Under normal circumstances, I suspect that this gesture wouldn't be a big deal;

but in the middle of a war,

people are going to be very wary of anything that seems a bit unusual.

You also need to bear in mind that the character is already under suspicion:

the officer he's talking to has already noticed his slightly odd accent.

The correct way to order one beer is to say that you're ordering one beer:

how else are you going to do it?

If you want to accompany that with a gesture, then that's fine;

and as far as I know, nobody cares if it's your index finger.

The gesture that I use is a vague wave of the hand

to attract the attention of the server.

I do find, having lived in Germany for nearly 25 years,

that I have started counting 1-2-3 like this,

which appears to be a habit I have unconsciously picked up.

So... I think there must be some truth in it,

because I don't think this habit comes from nowhere.

But that is as far as it goes.

You just try counting 4 using three fingers and one thumb.

I can't do it.

But of course, "Inglourious Basterds" is set during the Second World War,

and things have changed a bit since then.

In Germany, this means exactly the same as it does all over the western world.

And with Hollywood movies popular over here,

I'm sure many Germans have seen 1-2-3;

possibly more than once.

In short, I don't think that this will necessarily mark you out as a foreigner.

But if you are in Nazi Germany,

and a Gestapo officer already thinks there's something not quite right about you...

...it could mean trouble.

On a personal note, I'm sorry I didn't get this video done sooner,

but on the day that I'd set aside for filming it,

I was trapped in another town

by a storm which had flooded the railway and roads.

We're completely fine, and our house was unscathed.

But many other homes and businesses in the area were not so lucky,

with damage estimated in the tens of millions.

Things are getting back to normal now,

but the clean-up operation is likely to last for months.

And although it is only a small thing,

I wouldn't be a good neighbour if I didn't at least let you know how to make a donation,

if you wish to.

Especially since the fire brigades around here are all staffed by volunteers.

My Productivity Tips: How To Increase Productivity and Get More Things Done! - Duration: 7:09.

Hi guys!

I'm Jamie and I'm a third year medical school student.

So a couple weeks ago, I asked you guys on snapchat to send me video questions for a

Q&A session and a lot of you guys me for tips or general hacks on how to be more productive.

I didn't get to answer during the Q&A video but I thought I would share my productivity

tips and tricks in THIS video.

So let's get started!

My first tip, this might be a little weird, is to track your time and see what you need

to cut out.

I got this idea from dieting.

When going on a diet or attempting to eat healthy, it's often advised that you track

the meals and food that you eat normally in a day or even a week to see what you can cut

out.

When I did this the first time, I was surprised by the amount of junk food that I was eating.

It kinda opened my eyes and made we aware of how unhealthy my eating habits were so

I looked for healthier options.

Some of the concepts transfer over when it comes to productivity.

You can keep a log of how you spent your day to see what you can cut out or work on.

And just like with tracking your meals, it can give you an overall picture of what you're

spending your time on.

So for example, if you have a free hour or an hour and half in between lectures, you

can spend that time working out or going over some of the coursework and by doing so you've

"freed up" time later in the day to do other things.

My Second Tip is Planning!

You might already have a system in place of how you like to plan and organize your day.

If you're new to the whole planner thing a really simple way to get started is by writing

down everything you need to do & then deciding how much time you want to dedicate to each

task.

That way you know approximately how much time you will dedicate to school, homework, working

out, and et cetera.

Make sure you plan in appropriate breaks and some fun time too.

The key is to be as realistic as possible so you can actually stick to your plans.

Tip number 3: create an environment where you can do work!

The best place to get work done is somewhere where distractions is limited.

One example of creating a good workspace is keeping a neat work area.

It Might be different for everyone but for me having a neat and tidy desk helps me focus

more and helps me concentrate on the task at hand.

So I would consider making it a habit to always having a clean and neat desk.

Another example of creating a good working environment is the location.

If you don't like studying at home or if home has too many distractions, you can head

out to a library or a coffee shops.

You can invite a friend who also needs to study so that you can both keep each other

accountable.

The most important thing is all these productivity tips is knowing yourself and your tendencies.

Sometimes If I have a really long day, I know that I'm not gonna wanna do ANYTHING once

I get home.

On days like that I know it's better for me to stay at school or hospital to get my

work done rather than coming home and losing that momentum.

Which brings up the next point: sometimes even if we find places that are quiet, the

tools we use to study can lead us to distraction.

For example: Computers.. netflix, youtube, facebook are a click away AND Smartphones:

we carry with us all the time.

Computer Solution: There are apps like Selfcontrol for the mac where you can black-list the websites

you wanna avoid for a certain time period.

Or you can do it the other way too list the websites you can whitelist websites, meaning

you'll only have access to those website for the allotted time.

Smartphone Solution: one solution would be to deactivate social media for the weeks or

days leading up to deadlines or exams.

Actually this is pretty common-- even pro athletes do it.

Lebron James does it every year during the play-offs.

Smartphone Solution: you can turn it off or leave it in another room when you're trying

to do work.

If you're going to the library or a coffee shop to study, you can leave it at home for

that day.

The Next tip is to Take Breaks!

It's hard to keep up a high level of productivity for an extended periods of time.

A good analogy is you can't run at full speed 100% of the time and I think the same

can be said about productivity.

So taking breaks is essential so you can go to higher levels of productivity.

One time management technique that applies this idea is the Pomodoro Technique

The concept is simple.

First you make a list of task that need to be done.

Then you set a timer, timers are typically 25 minutes long

within that time period, you're supposed to work on that task.

When the timer rings, you can take a 3-5 minute break and after going thru more than four

cycles or four pomodoros you're supposed to take a longer break, (between 15 to 30

minutes) You guys should try it if you haven't already.

It's a really effective but simple technique in helping maintain focus, esp if there are

a lot of things to be done.

I will put a link down in the description box if you guys wanna know more.

My Next tip on increasing productivity is to exercise!

There are several studies that show that exercising regularly can improve concentration and memory,

increase mental stamina, help with creativity and also help lower stress.

If you find yourself really struggling to stay focused even after you did all the right

things- like planning, taking breaks, going to the perfect study environment- maybe it's

time to do something physically active for 30 minutes or so.

Go for a run or biking or go lift something heavy.

Give your head a complete break from all the work you need to do and come back to it with

a fresh mindset.

So we all know exercising is good for you and it can refresh your mind, blah blah blah.

But what if you don't actually like exercising?

A common question people ask me is how to get into the habit of exercising.

If you're new to the whole fitness thing, I think a good place to start is by temptation

bundling.

Temptation Bundling is a term coined by Katherine Milkman who is a professor at UPenn.

The idea is to do pair something you like doing with something you don't like doing.

I.e- Watching TV and exercising.

So if you have that tv show you've been saving to watch after all your work is done,

you can do it while walking or running on a treadmill.

You can also try listening to your favorite podcast or audiobook or checking out some

new music while lifting.

Whatever it may be, try to give yourself something to look forward to while working out.

My LAST tip for being productive is Perseverance/Self Control

Even with all the tips I just talked about, there is just no substitution for working

hard!

Sometimes you need to stop worrying about not wanting to do something or not being productive

and just DO.

Don't think about anything, don't give time to your worries and distractions and

just START.

Read that first paragraph, Start that essay outline, Do that first question.

With everything in life, it gets easier the more you do it.

So that's all the tips I have for increasing productivity.

I hope you guys found it helpful!

Please Share your favorite productivity tip in the comment section for everyone to read.

How to Stretch for High Kicks and Flexibility - Duration: 4:20.

So, I made a video called, Flexibility Without Stretching, and in that video, I admitted

I really don't stretch that much.

But people still ask me all the time, "How do I improve my flexibility so I can kick

higher?"

So, today, I thought I'd share a technique that I used to use back in my Taekwondo days.

It worked really great for me back then and I'm sure it will work really great for you

today.

Let's get to it.

Okay.

The technique is called proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation or PNF stretching.

Don't worry about that.

That's just a fancy way of saying squeeze and release.

So, there's a couple different ways you can do it, but I'm going to show you my

favorite.

Let's say you just put your foot up.

I'm going to pretend like I'm doing a front kick here.

Now, the idea is to push down with your heel as hard as you can and squeeze all the muscles

in your leg for 10 seconds.

All right?

That will be the squeezing part.

So, let's do it.

Here we go.

Get yourself into good form, feeling strong, and then go.

1...

2...

Hey, while we're waiting, if you're interested in a workout idea that you can do on a staircase,

whether you're at the office, at home, or on the track, check out my video, Stair Workout

for MMA.

That's a good one.

9… and 10.

Now, right now, no more squeezing.

Relax your leg.

As you do that, almost magically, you'll find you can slide up a little bit farther.

So, now, I'm going to reset and do that for another four or five sets.

Either slide your leg up a little bit more or bend your supporting leg a little bit more

just to widen out your stretch.

After I do my right leg, I would do my left leg.

But don't stop there.

That's just the hamstring portion of this kind of stretching.

If you want to be better at all your kicks, now I'm going to roll it over into a side

kick position so I can work on my groin muscles as well as my hamstrings.

But I wouldn't stop there, either.

If you're super smart, I would apply your PNF stretching, or squeezing and releasing,

to every stretch that you do.

Keep in mind, I'm not a doctor.

My understanding of PNF comes from my own personal experience.

But here's how I think about it.

You know how when you're stretching, you're pushing everything out to the limits, and

then suddenly, your body tightens up.

Well, believe it or not, that reaction is designed to protect you, not to hurt you.

Why?

Because your brain has never seen you do a full split before.

So, when it sees your feet going farther and farther apart, it says, "Whoa, big fella-

I'm gonna stop you right there."

But here's the funny thing--if you got knocked out cold by an attacker or if, God forbid,

someone killed you-- it's not all bad.

The good news is you'd finally be able to do that full split.

That's because when your brain is turned off, your body just becomes a big bag of blubber.

The trick is figuring out how to stop your brain from stopping your body when you're

alive and awake.

And one way to do that is to voluntarily tense up your muscles.

Make sense?

I don't get it, either, but it works, so give it a try.

And here are three tips to make sure you do it right.

One: Warm up.

Always!

Stretching a cold muscle is just asking for trouble.

So, always make the time to break a sweat and get your blood going before you stretch.

Two: Be patient.

If you drop into a full split right now, there's a good chance you're just going to injure

yourself.

That means it's going to take even longer to reach your goals.

So, take it slow and steady.

Three: Give yourself time to recover.

PNF technique is pretty intense, so make sure you're eating right and sleeping right.

And remember—if you come into a workout and you're still sore from last time, well,

that means your muscles are still healing.

So, it's okay to loosen up and still practice, but save your deep stretching for another

day.

And that's your tip-- squeeze and release.

In this car factory tycoon your job will be to establish perfect efficient production

of cars, maximize profit and beat the competition.

Game is build with efficiency geeks in mind and will be appealing to any fun of games

like Factorio or Big Pharma.

To win market share from the big companies you are going to need planning, an appreciation

of future technology, a careful eye on your bottom line, and an ability to design a factory

layout that makes use of every square meter, and cuts production costs per car to the absolute

minimum.

Interstellar Transport Company is set to release sometime between June and October this year.

In Interstellar Transport Company you take the role of a space transportation company

as you probably already figured out from title..

Your job is to crush your rivals and supply humanity with all the resources it needs to

colonize the galaxy.

In this transport tycoon you will be managing routes, infrastructure, and ships to grow

your business.

All that is set in a procedurally generated galaxy meaning every game will be brand new

experience.

It features competitive AI that all have differing motivations, online multiplayer, a VR mode

for Rift/Vive users, and will launch with modding capabilities.

Definitely a title I will keep my eyes on and repot as more information is released.

Finally we have a date for City Skyline Mass Transit DLC.

It is set to release on 18th of May.

This latest expansion for Cities: Skylines brings several new systems into play to help

citizens traverse their towns in speed and style.

Commuters can now get around on the water, up high mountain peaks, and even through the

sky thanks to the addition of ferries, monorails, cable cars, and blimps to the game.

Along with new transit service buildings, mass transit hubs where lines can exchange

passengers, new scenarios, new landmarks, and new road types, urban planners now have

more options than ever to add unique style and personality to their growing cities.

Final announcement of a month comes from creators of Mad Games Tycoon.

Developers have announced their new game Mad Tower Tycoon to come out this year.

In this sim tower tycoon kind of game your job will be to grow skyscraper of your dreams.

Your job will be to create offices, hotel rooms, apartments or shopping malls to keep

your skyscraper economically lucrative.

You will build cinemas, bars or a theaters to keep your visitors satisfied.

Take care of the safety and cleanliness of each floor.

Create an effective transport system with elevators and stairs.

Okay Nerds and Nerdettes don't go just yet because I need to ask you for your help.

Making videos like this is a lot of effort and I can't possibly find every information

is out there.

In the past I got some great suggestions from you so I will ask again.

If you know of any other games that should be featured in next month updates please contact

me at writetofeniks@gmail.com, tweet @Feniks_Gaming or just simply comment under this video.

I spend hours researching indie games but I'm sure some of you know about upcoming

gems that I haven't heard of yet.

A DAY ON A KAYAK #Episode 1 - Duration: 4:49.

Hi everyone, so I left Agen aproximately half an hour ago.

I'm taking a break because it's quite exhausting.

I had a hard time with the paddling but as soon as you get used to it , it's ok.

Here is the scenery...

Quite nice. A tour of the boat?

So here is... me and here is the luggage!

I've got food and all the equipment with me.

And I must have traveled around 3 miles for now.

There still a lot remaining...

Well, looks like there's a lot of these pipes, so I decided to stop a second time.

Imust have left an hour ago, I think.

And.. I had a unsuspected passenger, of course!

I don't know how it got here but there is a spider on board.

Spider on board! I repeat, spider on board!

I don't know where it is but there's not enough space on this boat for both of us!

So the snack break is almost done, I've travelled around 9.5 miles.

It's 13:40 and there's people eating on the other side, I'gonna ask them if the go on by boat and if they could drag me behind.

Well, if the planes stopped I could talk!

Are you done?

Silence!

So, nice little rest with people from Niort... my canoe is going... bye!

It was fun, we chatted, they're here on vacation for 3 days and rented a boat, sadly we're not headed the same way so the couldn't help...

I keep on paddling...
