Measurement of Angles Level 4 In this video we will start going over simple

examples involving measurement of angles.

Let's jump straight into the first example.

According to the diagram, which two angles are congruent?

In this problem we are given two triangles and we are asked to determine which two angles

are congruent.

Recall that we can visually show that two angles are congruent by using arc marks.

The first triangle has a single arc mark at angle A and a double arc mark at angle C,

the second triangle has a triple arc mark at angle R and a single arc mark at angle

S. Two angles will be congruent if they have matching arc marks so angle A and angle S

are congruent and this is our final answer.

Let's take a look at the next example.

State the measure of each angle and classify the angle.

Angle BOC In this problem we are provided with a couple

of angles along with a protractor.

Each ray is assigned a particular angle measure.

We are asked to determine the measure of angle BOC and classify the angle based on this angle

measurement.

Recall that we can determine the measurement of an angle by computing the absolute difference

of the numbers that the rays or segments correspond with on the protractor.

In this case angle BOC is formed by ray OC which is assigned an angle measure of 90 degrees

and ray OB is assigned an angle measure of 20 degrees.

Computing the absolute difference of these two values we obtain 70 degrees for the measurement

of angle BOC.

So this angle can be classified as an acute angle.

Let's try next problem.

Angle GOH Similar to the previous problem let's locate

the sides of angle GOH.

Notice that ray OH is located at the 180 degree mark since it is aligned on the straight edge

of the protractor.

Ray OG is aligned with the 160 degree mark.

So the measure of angle GOH will be equal to the absolute difference of these two angle

measurements, simplifying the expression we obtain 20 degrees for the measure of angle

GOH.

So this angle can be classified as an acute angle.

Let's try the next problem.

Angle COA Once again let's figure out where the rays

of the angle are located on the protractor.

Ray OC is located at the 90 degree mark and ray OA is located at the 0 degree mark since

it is aligned with the straight edge of the protractor.

Calculating the absolute difference of these angles we obtain 90 degrees.

So this angle can be classified as a right angle.

Let's move along to the next example.

Angle GOB Here ray OG is aligned with the 160 degree

mark and ray OB is aligned with the 20 degree mark.

Computing the absolute difference of these angles we obtain 140 degrees.

So this angle can be classified as an obtuse angle.

Let's try the next one.

Angle HOA Here ray OH is aligned with the 180 degree

mark and ray OA is aligned with the 0 degree mark.

Computing the absolute difference of these angles we obtain 180 degrees.

So this angle can be classified as a straight angle.

Let's check out next problem.

Name a pair of congruent acute angles.

Now we are asked to determine a pair of acute angles.

Recall that acute angles are angles that measure greater than 0 degrees but less than 90 degrees.

Looking at the diagram we see that angle GOH and angle BOA are congruent acute angles since

both angles measure 20 degrees.

Angles GOC and COB are also congruent acute angles since they measure 70 degrees.

So either of these two angle pairs is an acceptable answer.

Let's try the next problem.

Name a pair of congruent right angles.

Similar to previous problem we need to identify 2 congruent angles that measure 90 degrees.

Looking at the diagram we see that angle HOC and angle COA both measure 90 degrees.

So these angles are congruent right angles.

Let's try the next problem.

Name a pair of congruent obtuse angles.

Alright now we want to identify 2 congruent obtuse angles, recall that an obtuse angle

is greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.

Looking at the figure we see that angle HOB and angle GOA both measure 160 degrees.

So these angles are congruent obtuse angles.

Alright now let's go over problems that require us to find parts of a degree.

Change 41.4 degrees to degrees and minutes.

In this problem we are given a degree measurement and we are asked to convert it to degrees

and minutes.

Recall that minutes and seconds are used when we have a degree measurement that has a fraction

of a degree in this example we have 4 tenths of a degree as our fraction.

We want to convert this fractional part of a degree into minutes.

Since there are 60 minutes in one degree we can determine the number of minutes in 0.4

degrees by simply taking the decimal and multiplying it by 60 doing that we obtain 24 minutes.

So this angle measure can be written as 41 degrees 24 minutes and this is our final answer.

Let's go over the final example.

Change 60 degrees 45 minutes to degrees.

In this problem we are given an angle measurement in degrees and minutes and we are asked to

convert it to degrees.

In order to convert this measurement we need to change 45 minutes to a fractional part

of a degree and add it to 60 degrees.

Once again since 60 minutes equals 1 degree we can take 45 and divide it by 60.

We then reduce the fraction obtaining the following.

So 60 degrees 45 minutes can be written as 60 and three quarters degrees or alternatively

as 60.75 degrees when we convert the fraction into a decimal and this is our final answer.

Your intuition is more developed

When you intuition is more developed it will help you decipher when someone is being truthful

or deceitful.

Becoming familiar with intuition can enhance foresight, as deconstructing the patterns

of a person�s energy becomes clearer with experience.

Consider information with �a grain of salt� and allow new information to formulate a new

decision.

Being in an allowing state helps the person with a strong intuition.

Also learning to �trust the process� helps, but it is important to remember to address

things that make us uncomfortable before it starts to make the future uncomfortable.

You are more reserved with who you spend your time and energy with

There are people that want to be entertained by you, people that seek satisfaction by energetically

draining you, and you naturally avoid them.

This can seem to leave you out of the loop socially, but if you trust the wisdom of the

universe better acquaintances will follow.

Remember as a child you were full of space and non-judgement, become full of space for

something better to come into your life, but don�t forget the lessons you learned.

The genuine compassion and warmth of an energy empath makes it easy to talk on a subconscious

level, as compassionate understanding is the strength that opens new loving connections

in others.

This should truly be seen as a gift and exercised as such.

Welcome back!

I'm Jen, and I'm Dave, and we're from Spray Pal.

And we are here with video number two in our series of how to EASILY get started with using

cloth diapers.

Last time we talked about "Doing the Research."

If you've done a little bit of research now, you may have an idea in your mind of kind

of what route you want to go with cloth diapering.

What brands you want to try, what styles of diapers you want to try.

I know there's a lot of information out there when you're researching, so today's

topic is kind of what to do now that you've done your research.

Start buying things?

Maybe you don't want to buy things yet!

So, we'll tell you a little bit about what we did because when we started, our oldest

daughter was two months old and we were not sure.

We had done the research and the reason we actually researched cloth diapers was because

she was a blow out baby.

Like, every time she nursed she pooped and it came out the back side of her diaper.

Every.

Single.Time.

So, I was washing poopy clothes anyway, and still throwing her diapers away.

And I thought, you know, I'm doing all this laundry.

There's got to be a better way.

And when I started looking up how to contain poop, cloth diapers came on my radar.

And I actually didn't even realize they were as modern and cute and, like, you see them

all behind us, they're actually fashionable and adorable in addition to being eco-friendly

and money-saving.

There's a lot to choose from, though.

There is a lot to choose from.

So, basically...thank you for getting me back on topic, right?

Mhmmm!

So, what we did was we bought two diapers on sale.

Two cloth diapers.

And we just put them into our rotation to try and see if we could handle cloth diapering.

We weren't really sure we could keep up with the laundry and what not.

And we...I...when we tried them...I fell in love with them right away.

He was a little bit more hesitant.

He needed some persuasion.

But, I loved them.

So what we ended up doing then was a rental program.

Yeah, that's what my feelings are on this.

You gotta try them out and don't buy all of one kind all at once without trying them out

first because it's a decent sized investment and there's all different types and they're

not all the same and they're not all going to be right for you.

And you may find that if you're pregnant and you're doing your research and you have found

a brand that you think you're really going to love and you buy them all up, then when

your baby gets here they may not quite fit the same way as another brand would have fit

if you had waited.

Basically, our suggestion is, if there's something for sure you know you want, like perhaps a

Spray Pal!

Because once your baby starts solids you know you're going to want a sprayer and Spray Pal.

;) You could buy that if you see it come up on sale.

But, we don't recommend buying a whole bunch of diapers right off the bat without trying

the brands first.

Do a starter kit or something.

Actually, yeah!

It's funny you should mention that, honey!

I just happen to have a card right here!

We did, after a lot of discussion with various families at our #makeclothmainstream events,

we came up with a cloth diapering starter kit that's a great way to start out once your

baby's here, or even before your baby is here.

It comes with four different styles of diapers plus the sprayer, the Spray Pal, a pail liner,

a wetbag.

It's basically a kit of everything you need.

And you can get started and try four different styles and four different brands right off

the bat.

And then you'll kind of get a feel for what you know works and what you like and then

you can either sell off the ones on the buy, sell, trade groups on Facebook.

And then you can buy the ones you know you DO like!

So, this is a great way to do it if you don't have a rental program available or if you

know you want to get started but you're not sure what brands you're going to like.

The Cloth Diapering Starter Kit from Spray Pal is a great way to test the waters.

So, other than that, you could also, if you have a local friend who has maybe been using

cloth diapers and their baby is growing out of them, you could ask to borrow a couple.

I know a lot of cloth diapering families are super anxious to spread the love and help

other people get started.

So, you could do it that way, too.

Anything else?

And the reason why these links may not seem clear to you is not because they don't exist.

It's because the system is built in such a way

that we don't ever have to look into the eyes of the animals we commodify and exploit.

Animals are our allies - let's treat them as such.

Reject the "otherization" of other species who are seen as "lesser than" and as "just" an animal.

The same principle directly affects how those in power justify violence against human minorities.

You cannot talk about capitalism without talking about the two bases on which it was founded:

colonialism and animal agriculture.

And to ignore this link is to miss half the problem.

I say fuck corporations, and fuck this system. If we unite, we will be unstoppable.
