How to prepare the route of your next adventure? - Duration: 11:07.

Have you ever had difficulty to estimate

distance and elevation gain between a point A and B?

Hi, and welcome to this second training video to help you on your next trip.

Today, I want to talk to you about an application which helps me prepare most of my trips.

If you are a runner or a cyclist, you have probably already heard about it.

I want to talk about Strava.

Strava is an application that is developed by a company in San Francisco, California.

Wow! It's so much hilly over here.

Basically, it's an application that's made to record our trips

using a smart phone, some GPS models, or some watches,

like the Suunto that I introduced you on the last episode.

Then Strava encourages you to move more by offering you monthly challenges.

Like pedaling the equivalent of a half tout de France in ten days more than the event.

Or to gain in elevation the equivalent of Mount Everest in a week.

And to really encourage you to do it as much as possible, the site allows you to

compare yourself with all your friends on all kinds of points.

He does not hesitate to give you what needed to push yourself deeply by letting you see that

you're friends are faster than you and he even send you an email

as soon as someone kill one of your records.

Thanks to Strava, I always give the best by myself.

Therefore, my workouts are more beneficial on my physical form.

I did not even think to talk about this with this capsule, but I realize while

speaking that Strava is also a good tool to train before a trip.

What I wanted to talk about at the beginning is the route creation tool.

I use it often when I climb an unknown mountain and every

time when I'm going to ride in other countries.

As you can see, I'm preparing my next adventure.

From here, I can easily see all my day-to-day journeys with the distance that

I will have to go along with the elevation gain.

To look at a closer example, we will watch one of the days I have the

suffered the most in Japan.

From Toyota, to Misakubocho, in the Japanese alps.

Sun is about to set.

I will go back down soon, only 150 feet left to climb approx.

And I'm going to be almost done for where I wanted to go.

Things are going well.

Already, we can see that the distance to be traveled is 106.2 km and that the road gains in altitude 3129M.

We must see this number as an approximation, because sometimes some elements can be misleading.

As for example here, there is a tunnel, but the software believes that the road passes over the mountain,

so he calculates a big climb that does not exist in real life.

If we look below the map, we see very well all the elevations of the road.

It allows me to evaluate very well in the day when I'm going to have to work very hard

and when I will be able to rest.

We can even enlarge the map to see very precisely where we will go.

What is wonderful about all this is that once the ride is built on

the web page with the computer,

the route is in the phone

and we can look the map to know where we are with with a small point.

It's very convenient to know which street corner turn.

But beware !

The application do not warns when to turned.

So we have to stop from time to time to look at where you are on the map.

But then, why not just used Google map ?

Google Map is wonderful!

I use it several times a week while I drive and it makes a exceptional work.

I could ask Google Map to bring me in a very specific place and it could

ake me there without even having to look at it.

He would tell me vocally when to turn at every intersection.

But it's not the best tool to prepare a trip.

We will make a trip together to make for example.

Let's say I want to start in Granby, and that I want to go to Montreal ...

Through Sutton.

Oops, but I do not want to de ride twice at the same place.

So I slide my path on another road.

At this moment, if I record my track, it will never change.

It will be saved like that even if I open it in a year.

I've never cycled in those streets and I do not know if bikes are allowed.

There is an option in the top that allow you to change the path a bit

use the most popular routes for cyclists.

The community at Strava, it is a strong point.

Hundreds of thousands of peoples use the application and already over a billion

activities were recorded.

By combining all this data, Strava easily

able to recommend most popular routes.

It's even very easy to built an idea using the eat map.

It is so hot!

And this map only illustrates the activities made in the sport mode that we are.

Wich is on bike or on foot.

It is very convenient to find the most popular trail on a mountain, and even

sometimes unofficial trail that do not even show on map.

Also, if you prefer to ride few more kilometers to avoid big

hill, Strava even offers to find the road with the least elevation gain.

When finished, I save the route, and I can even keep notes.

That's it, then, you just have to leave and follow your route on your smartphone.

The application is available on Android or iOS.

I go on my profile, then on the road, and all the trips I've recorded are there.

Unfortunately, the route with the map can't be physically saved in

the phone and requires an internet connection.

But it does not matter, because if you do not have no internet connection during your travels

I have tips for that.

We will discuss about it next week.

Because yes, Strava may be an exceptional application, but it still has cons.

For example, since they changed from google maps to mapbox, it is no longer possible

to use Google Street View.

I am forced to use my route in Strava and Google Map in a second window

to view my trip and see the streets in which I will pass.

Like that when I have doubts I can make sure the road is asphalt

and that I will not find myself on a speed circuit with a tiny shoulder.

Yes, because I can even search the speed signs.

And even if Strava suggests road used by cyclists, I prefer not to take

of chance and loot at everything by myself.

Does this bridge really have bike lane.

Yes Super!

And this one?

No ... Oops ...

We will find another one.

Is this tunnel suitable for bikes?

From there ... It's up to you to judge.

If anyone from Strava is listening, Please, I am convinced that you have chosen

Mapbox for a good reason.

But let us choose the map we wants to use.

If Suunto is able to do it on his site, I'm sure you can

to do it too.

Another cons with Strava is that when creates long routes, the software crash.

Then you have to restart all over again.

So when it happens to me, rather than set a departure and arrival point I will place

points about every 50km and usually it calculates quite well.

The last negative point of Strava, is that they dont care at all about community comments.

They only do as they want.

For example, let's say I'm going to run to outside.

When I finished, Strava cheer me because I just had my best time on my first kilometer.

That's good, but I'm not able to know what was my previous record.

It would be nice to have a board that displays my best times for each of the distances,

as it is possible to do with the segments.

At Strava a segment is a route between a point A and B that everyone can challenge on.

Anyone can create one.

I can say that from home up to a friend of mine, well it's a segment

and everyone can challenge on to be the faster.

If we look at an example, that's the list of my best times on a segment.

But it's not possible to do it for 1km, no matter, where it was run.

And yet, if Strava is able to tell me that I just beat my 3rd, 2nd or my best

time, on my first KM,

It means that information is available somewhere…

Obviously, I'm not the only one who wants this function.

I leave a comment there about 2 years ago in this page on the official Strava forum.

Today it's been six years since peoples ask for this feature on the same page of the forum every week.

And Strava has still not done anything, nor even answered.

And this is only one example among many others.

In short, the team of this wonderful application should be more attentive to their users.

Good! Enough of whimpering for today, I had a little boogey on her heart and she came out.

I think it's all over for today.

I wanted to introduce you to one of my tools the most useful to prepare my trips

on foot, in the mountains or by bike.

I hope it will help you in your next trip, or that will even encourage you

to leave for an adventure.

For me, it is an indispensable tool.

It is thanks to this application that I am able to know that I am always

on the right track.

My watch is my best tool to point a destination, retrace my steps and know my altitude.

But when I have to follow a route, Strava is my favorite tool.

If you have not seen the last episode or I'm talking about my watch, you can

see it by clicking on the link right there at the top.

I hope you liked the video, if yes you can give me a thumbs up.

If you have questions or comments, you can write me in the box just below the video.

Don't be shy, that's made just for this.

Finally, do not forget to subscribe, right there.

And see you next week to talk about traveling without an internet connection

on your phone.

See you soon!

Since the minute President Donald Trump discharged the eagerly awaited update that Democrats

were frantic to stop, there's been a gigantic frenzy from everybody uncovered in the notice.

They realized that with their defilement and insider facts out, Trump would consider them

responsible.

That is by all accounts the case now for a judge not named in the FISA report, but rather

connected with it through his degenerate inclusion with Barack Obama.

It's been clear for quite a long time that Obama utilized judges and the framework further

bolstering his good fortune, even outside the FISA court.

Since Trump has been president, resistant judges have left the woodwork to always topple

the president's strategies.

Presently, one equity in Texas has been assaulted and captured.

It would appear that Trump conveyed equity this time and not the man on the stand.

Ildefonso Ortiz and Brandon Darby joint announced for Breitbart:

Government experts captured a Democrat Texas state judge after a progression of strikes

on his coat and his home.

Data on the charges and different subtle elements of the examination stay fixed.

The judge is relied upon to be introduced in government court on Monday.

This week, operators with the Federal Bureau of Investigations directed "law authorization

action" at the 93rd State District Court, FBI Spokeswoman Michelle Lee uncovered to

Breitbart Texas.

While she couldn't uncover the subtle elements of the activity or its motivation, Lee affirmed

the FBI influenced one to capture.

The personality of the individual captured and the charges couldn't be discharged until

Monday, Lee said.

Judge Rudy Delgado is the directing judge of the 93rd State District Court.

In this position, he hears any sort of state court cases, including common and criminal

issues.

As a Democratic officeholder, Delgado ran unopposed in the 2016 general decision and

is at present enrolled by the Texas Secretary of State site as a Democratic possibility

for Justice of the thirteenth Court of Appeals Place 4.

Obama, Hillary, and most government authorities working intimately with them, were likely

made up for lost time in criminal exercises.

Nothing prevents a Democrat from getting what they need, mishandling their energy to do

it, and deceiving spread it up.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveals his true feelings on Emre Can contract wrangle ● News Now ● #LFC - Duration: 2:10.

LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp insists he has 'no problem' with midfielder Emre Can's

contract situation.

He claims the German's future remains 'open' despite him being heavily linked with a free

transfer to Juventus.

Can will have the option to quit Anfield on a Bosman at the end of the season.

Klopp jokingly commented that wantaway star has asked for a £250,000-a week deal to stay

at Liverpool.

The midfielder took to social media this week to deny claims that he was demanding £200,000-a-week

to persuade him not to walkaway from Merseyside.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the dispute centres around the insertion of a release

clause into a new contract.

The saga has been ongoing for months but Klopp believes nothing has been decided.

When asked if Can had asked for a quarter of a million pounds a week, the Reds boss

joked: "£250,000!"

"The situation is open, it's what we said before," he then added.

"As long as nothing is decided it's open, we're in talks with him, all good so far apart

from he hasn't signed.

"That's all.

Ok, no problem with that."

Can is unavalailable for the Reds' trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday with a back

injury.

Joe Gomez will be out for three to four weeks after sustaining an ankle injury on international

duty with England.

"The good news is that it could have been anything, from all the bad news we got the

best news," Klopp added.

"It's serious enough to leave him out for a couple of games but not the rest of the

season."

Some foods can be very helpful.

This is thanks to their ability to reduce inflammation in your intestine and repopulate your bacterial flora.

In this article, find out what the 10 best foods are for taking care of your sensitive stomach.

Foods for sensitive stomachs.

  Agar agar.

Agar agar is an alga that is used in foods to make gelatins.

Many vegetarians eat it to avoid animal-based gelatins.

This ingredient can thicken up any liquid.

The more you add, the thicker it will get.

Agar agar is a vegetable-based gelatin that has the ability to regulate your intestinal function.

This is even true if you suffer from diarrhea.

It does this thanks to its pre-biotic fiber and minerals like magnesium, iodine, and calcium.

Chia seeds and linseed.

Chia seeds and linseed are popular because they boost your intestinal function.

And they do this without irritating this organ or the bacteria flora it has.

When you soak them, they release their mucilage.

This is a type of soluble fiber that makes water gelatinous.

When you drink this water with the seeds, you get a deep intestinal cleaning.

Fermented foods.

Foods that have been made through fermentation are very beneficial.

They repopulate and protect your intestinal bacteria.

And, your intestinal flora can suffer the consequences of a bad diet, antibiotics, or from intestinal diseases.

The most popular fermented foods are natural yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, and kombucha tea.

Papaya.

Apples.

It can help treat intestinal diseases depending on how you eat it.

If you eat it raw with its skin, you help your intestinal movement.

This fights constipation thanks to the soluble fiber it has.

This increases your intestinal activity It also strengthens the muscles your digestive system uses.

If you eat apples peeled and grated, and you let them get brown, you can calm diarrhea.

They have this effect thanks to the tannins that appear when it oxidizes and its high pectin content.

This retains water and slows intestinal movement.

Kuzu.

It has a regulatory effect on your small intestine.

Also, it; s recommended if you have alternating constipation and diarrhea, spasms, or a delicate stomach.

Coffee grinds.

This is a very interesting remedy that's very effective for calming intestinal inflammation.

You only need to drink a tablespoon of coffee grounds with a glass of water in the morning.

You should do this at least half an hour before eating breakfast.

With this easy remedy, you'll see almost instantaneous relief.

Seawater.

Seawater is good as a medicinal treatment.

Its rich in minerals and trace minerals.

These regulate your intestinal function if you drink them correctly.

Ingredients.

1/4 cup of sea water 3/4 cup of water.

Never Gonna Give You Up (Remix) - [Lyric Video] - ToxicMelody - Duration: 3:35.

We're not stranger to love

You know the rules and so do I

A full commitment's what I'm thinking of

You wouldn't get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna (give, give, give...)

We've known each other for so long

Your heart's been aching, but

You're too shy to say it

Inside, we both know what's been going on

We know the game and we're gonna play it

And if you ask me how I'm feeling

Don't tell me you're too blind to see

And if you ask me how I'm feeling

Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We're no strangers to love

Her Er Noen Tinger - Duration: 1:30.

Hey there... Again

You might be curious as to why this is here.

Well...

I'm here explain things in a vague manner..

These are thing about me..

Or us.. I should say..

Welp.. This is Oliver.

And I'm here to give useless information about this person.

There are times where one of us cries..

We feel the cold tears on our cheek.

But we know that it is not the host crying..

The host would never cry..

Not in front of people or alone..

Because we made a promise to never cry after this year..

You know there are many of us.

At least if you turn on subtitles..

It gets overwhelming..

Having many voices in your head..

They all scream, whisper, talk..

It drives you mad when you can never hear your own thoughts.

Especially when you can't drive the noises out..

We feel hands on our throat constantly..

It makes us mad and scared..

Sometimes the hands are nice, and give us a hug...

Or they excite us and try to kill us..

Overall, we just feel them.. Everywhere

It's not bad...

Just weird..

Even if the hands are kind to us,

We know that they want to kill us..

We deal with it though.

Blood is a big problem for us..

We love to harm and torture our body..

We have bloodied hands from both the body and the animals we've killed.

However.. We still don't have a problem with it..

Or anything that we go through..

Fun Easter Tradition - Grandma Coloring Eggs With Grandson Using PAAS Mini-Monsters Decorating Kit - Duration: 14:19.

It's a hard job making Easter eggs, isn't it. Oh, that made me exhausted! Are you exhausted?

Cohen, are you eggs-hausted?

Uh Huh, I'm eggs-hausting!

Bye, bye, toodle-oo!

No, don't leave yet! Don't say bye-bye, toodle -oo!

What are those? Oh, oh, they're hot!

Kinda hot!

Ketchup and mustard! Yuck!!!

We're baking cookies, but that takes 10 to 12 minutes, so we're gonna do

something in the meantime. We're gonna color some Easter eggs! Now you may say

this is the only kind of eggs I know about...real eggs!

Yeah, that's these. And we're gonna do something the grandma found that was

brand new at Walmart. And it's called "Easter Eggs DIY", and you don't even have

to cook them. It says no cooking required. And bright colored, non-toxic dye. And they

were only $1.98, so they were a deal, too, for a dozen. Do you want to open this?

Yeah, so first we need to open our eggs. They look really real, don't they, Cohen?

Look how real they look! Wow! Maybe we can tease and play a joke on

Uncle David, since Easter's on April Fool's Day. And we could tell him this is

the real one! What do you think? Yeah look...they don't even crack! Good, and

they're also non-toxic dye and a hundred percent recyclable.

Okay, so it says to protect your work with a disposable tablecloth or newspaper.

What colors do we have to color with? Green, yellow, yeah, pink, purple.

Yeah, it looks purple, but do you think it's really blue...maybe it's electric blue.

And we could mix blue and green and it makes turquoise. Or pink and blue

makes purple. And blue and yellow makes green.

Okay, Cohen, can you go ahead and put the first egg in there. Okay, now let's make...you wanna do

the pink one first? Okay, let's go open the pink one.

Okay, let's pour a little dye in there. Okay, now we got to grab it like this and

then we squish it up. Can you do this? Squish it like that with both hands. Can

you squish it? Yeah roll it around, pull it around some more.

Good job! What color is it turning? Pink!

Ok, now let it go. Ooooo...we're gonna shake it!

Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake! Hey do you think it's ready to come out?

We're gonna take it out. Ooooo...pretty! Okay, now we're gonna do a blue one.

Good job. Okay, now you hold the bag with both hands, and grandmas gonna get the

dye out. We're gonna need to squish it around again, so like this yeah. We push

it back and forth, and back and forth. Can you squish it. Look at that! Is it getting

nice and blue? Yeah. Look how pretty. Isn't that pretty. It's like a robin's egg blue,

isn't it. Wow! Oh so gorgeous, yeah I like it.

Okay. Ready to pull it out. Okay let's see what it looks like. We'll take the egg

out of the baggie. Oh it's pretty. It is pretty, grandma! I like it.

This will be a yellow one!

Yeah, it's gonna be yellow. This is real easy to do, and probably older kids could even do

this by their self. But Cohen's just three, so we're gonna use grandmas help.

Yeah we squish it down in the dye again. Squish, squish, squish you little egg.

You little egg. Oh look how pretty it looks. It looks like a little bitty egg

banana. It's so yellow, and it's so pretty. See what it looks like. Wow, look at that!

It's dark and cool. Yeah it's darker isn't it. Let's put it

right up there by Mr. blue okay. Now which one do we do next. Okay ready?

Throw it in the bag. Okay hold it with both hands. What color is next? Green!

That's right - as green as the grass. Hold onto the top, and then just go squishy, squishy,

squishy. You could put some music on

while you do this, couldn't we.

Cohen sings: Bulletproof, because of you, you, you.

Ok, is that about ready to pop out? They're singing about Jesus aren't they. He loves us and takes care of us, doesn't he.

That one's green. Do you like that one too? I do! Now which is your favorite? All of them. Okay, let's do another pink.

What kind of color did you like? I don't know - I kind of like the blue.

Do you know an Easter song? Easter, Easter, Easter, Easter, Easter, Easter.

Okay, are you ready for this? That's a good purple.

It's a pretty purple. Wow, pretty! Yeah, I like that. I like that too. Wow. Yeah you think it'd

You know what all the colors make? Black!

Black! You get black!

Do you think it would be cool to make black? Ok so that's going to be pretty dark.

You put all of them in the same bag and they turn black.

All the colors of the rainbow.

We only have three eggs left.

And then we're gonna get our cookies over here to decorate.

And then we can eat one. What's your favorite color? Red and orange.

Red and orange. Uh Huh. Yeah orange is good. Now what we're gonna do is mix every bag in here.

Look at that!

Let's take it out now. That looks good!

Kinda looks like brown.

Look at that!

Cohen what are these? Cars, with eggs in them. Yeah, they're called egg racers.

They're made by Disney and Nickelodeon and we got him at our friendly Walmart store.

They were only a dollar ninety eight apiece, and we're gonna have some

racing with these. But first we need to put them together, and they just

pop on like that. Real easy to do. And then we can put some stickers on it.

The Nickelodeon one is Paw Patrol. Doing good work, Cohen. Thank you.

It's almost already about done.

I put this sticker on and they're all done. How do you like it now. You're gonna do

grandma's car? Can you get my car done for me? Cuz I need to put another batch of

cookies in the oven. I'm all done. That's enough stickers on you!

You've got to pick out

what color you're gonna race today. Yellow. Yeah the yellow. Okay and then whichever

you think should go in my car. Green! The green one.

Are you ready, steady. Yeah here we go. Oh, who's car won? Yours won - the Paw Patrol car.

Hold it up you're the winner. Oh yeah, and mine was the slower one.

We're on to our next family tradition for Easter, coloring real eggs.

This is like a traditional egg coloring kit by PAAS. I guess we call it paws, I'm

not sure. This year we bought the one that has the monster stickers. Look at

those monster wrappers. And what are these, Cohen? Monster eyeballs. Look at

those eyeballs, monster eyeballs, and lips, and mouths, and everything because we're

gonna make monster eggs. We even have monster hair. I didn't know

it came with hair. That's pretty cool huh. We're going to take each of the dots and

put it in half a cup of water with two tablespoons

of white vinegar. Do you wanna smell what this smells like?

Smell this. Does that smell bad? Ewwwww! That smell bad yeah. But that's what's

needed to keep the color on. I dissolved yet? Uh huh. Okay so we're gonna

let it sit in there. Okay we're gonna put the next color in the next cup. So the next

thing you're gonna do is punch out all these little circles.

That's what's gonna hold the eggs after we color them. It's a hard job making Easter

eggs isn't it. Uh huh. Oh that makes me exhausted.

Does it make it really tired? Are you exhausted? Oh Cohen are you eggs-hausted?

I feel like I need a nap right now. Bye bye, toodle-oo. No don't leave me I need

help. Oh you're gonna help me stick the eggs in.

Very very slowly. Because we don't want to crack the egg. Okay next

one. Put another one in. They're not hot. I'll help you. You can even put it here on

the spoon. Keep stirring them. Do you think they're done enough?

Take the egg and stick it right in there. Did you drop it? That's okay. We've got more paper towels.

Such a good job. Oh okay okay put it over here. Well, how do you like that one?

I like it a lot. Teamwork. One in there. One in there. That was like an egg toss.

What does yellow and red make, Cohen? Orange. You're right. You're smart. How'd you get

so smart? I don't know.

Aaahhhh! Stop that grandma!

Hey eggs! How you doing? What color do you like to be?

Pink, oh why why do you want to be pink? Why do you want to be green? Oh such hard work!

Are you exhausted? Uh huh. I'm eggs-hausting! Bye Bye! Toodle-oo! Oh don't leave yet. Don't leave!

Don't say bye, bye, toodle-oo! We're putting stickers on now for our monsters.

There's some eyeballs on our racers. This monster has four mouths. Does he eat a lot of food?

Okay so we got to make him some feet. Whoops there he goes! Okay so what

we're gonna do is we're gonna shrink wrap this one to be a monster right, Cohen.

So we're gonna put it in a holder.

Whoa pretty cool look at him. Awesome! It worked! Thank you Paas! We love these.

This is even on the plastic egg it used, cuz it was shrink wrapped.

So Cohen, think we had a good day with lots of teamwork. We made cookies. Tada!

And we made eggs! Look at those Easter eggs. Aren't those beautiful monster eggs!

How about we keep them. You think we should keep them? I know I think we should too.

Okay looks high-five on our egg coloring and our cookies.
