Incredible Phrasal Verbs to Easily Talk about Clothing - Duration: 7:56.

Welcome. Welcome. Welcome.

Today I have a really cool lesson.

We are talking about phrasal verbs related to clothing.

Before we begin, I just want to make sure that

you really pay attention to these.

Phrasal verbs are both easy and difficult.

What makes them easy is that you just have a verb and a preposition.

And all you have to do is memorize them.

But the problem is that many times we forget which preposition goes with which verb.

And that is when we mess up the meaning.

And this can be actually very confusing.

One of the best ways to learn phrasal verbs is to learn them by category.

And a very important category is clothing

because we use these phrasal verbs very, very often in English.

Whether we are putting clothes on or taking clothes off,

we want to make sure that we are using these phrasal verbs correctly.

So let's get to it.

Let's learn some phrasal verbs about clothing.

Number one is PUT ON.

And "to put on" means to start wearing something.

Simple as that.

So for example, if I'm cold, I might want to put on a jacket.

Or if I'm going to a nice event I might want to put on a nice dress.

Or I might want to put on my nice boots.

Put on.

Number two is the opposite of put on and it is TAKE OFF.

And "take off" means to remove clothing.

I've heard many learners of English use this incorrectly.

Many say put off.

Please don't mix these up. They're very important.

We use them a lot. We talk about them in our routine.

You put something on.

But then when you get warm, you take it off.

Put on. Take off.

There you go. Now you are masters at this.

Are you ready for the next one.

Number three...BREAK IN.

And this means to wear something new to make it a little bit more comfortable.

We can break in and new clothes or new shoes.

For example, many times when we buy new shoes

they're a little tight here and there, so we want to wear

them so they can kind of fit to our feet.

We are breaking them in.

Number four...TRY ON.

And "try on" means to put something on if you want

to see how it fits and how it looks.

For example, when we go shopping

many times we will try on some clothes to see how they look.

This will give us an idea whether they look good or maybe not so good.

Many times something looks amazing on the hanger.

And then you try it on and maybe it doesn't look so amazing.

We try them on. We try on the clothes.

Number five...THROW ON.

Now to "throw on" means to put something on very quickly.

You just put it on very quickly.

Like Superman.

Wait...

Is Superman very quick? Who's quick?

Spiderman?

The Flash?

Yes. You are putting on an outfit like the Flash.

So you have to be very, very quick about it.

You throw it on.

Sometimes, maybe if the alarm rings and you just

keep hitting snooze, and then you eventually wake up.

And you realize you're late.

You might have to throw on some clothes because you have to get to work on time.

Number six...BUTTON UP.

Now to "button up" means to fasten something with buttons.

So if you're wearing something that has buttons like a sweater.

No, sweaters don't. Like a cardigan.

Or like a button-up shirt, or anything that has buttons.

When you close those buttons you say you button up.

Number seven is DRESS UP.

This verb has two different meanings.

The first one is to put on clothes that are a little bit

more formal than the clothes you usually wear.

For example, we might want to dress up for somebody's wedding.

Or we dress up for a job interview.

Or maybe we'll dress up for some kind of formal event.

The other meaning of dress up is to put on clothes

that make you look like someone else.

And we do this for fun.

For example, many, many children dress up for Halloween.

We like to put on a costume, and we dress up.

Number eight is DRESS DOWN.

Now this is the opposite of dress up.

So if you dress down, you wear clothes that are less formal than the clothes you usually wear.

I hope now that you have a really good understanding of these phrasal verbs.

And I hope that you can use them correctly

when you put your clothes on in the morning.

Now here's how I want you to practice these verbs.

When you get ready in the morning, say what you

are doing using the correct phrasal verb.

Whether you're putting on a shirt, or trying on

some new jeans, or breaking in your new pair of shoes.

Did Jeep make enough changes 🔴 To prevent water leaks on the 2018 Jeep wrangler JL Hard Top. - Duration: 14:40.

When Jeep redesigned the 2018 Jeep Wrangler did they make any changes for

water leaks. Stick around you might be surprised!

Welcome back my name is Brandon with Einother view and today we're gonna be

taking a look at what changes Jeep made for the water management system on the

new Wrangler, for those of you who haven't subscribed yet make sure you do

that down below don't forget to click that Bell icon for more Jeep content. So

today we're gonna go over four things, where we had leaks in the past, what

changes did they make on the JL versus the JK , Will the changes that they made

helped and if you ever have a water leak What to do. so let's jump right in there

are three major areas where we see water entering the vehicle app the first being

the a pillar area it could be left or right it'll actually drip down on the

vent or the door panel right there the door handles that second is the radio

area I've seen that leak anywhere from a couple of drips to absolutely soaking

the radio before and last but not least the place where we see at the most is in

the floorboard left or right front floorboard area gets soaking wet just

because you have a leak in one of those three areas doesn't mean that you only

have one problem in that area there are several things that can cause each area

to leak we'll go over that here in a few minutes so next let's compare the JL

water management system with the JK water management system and see what new

changes Jeep is made alright so first off let's take a look at the rain garden

here on the left side they haven't made any changes here on the front but if you

move down to the back of the front hardtop you'll see that they've taken

the water break out some of you might be like what's a water break but it's this

little piece right here in the back where if you are on an incline the water

coming down the channel will actually be slowed down by this little piece right

here all right let's see what changes they made to the front windshield header

shield as you can see right here is the windshield and this is the left front

section of the hardtop what you can notice right off the bat is the header

seal is much thicker on the jail versus the old JK's version they've also added

this little piece here to the top on the jl body and what that's for and you can

see here the JK's got a little bit to is we just talked about it it's water

braking and it's going to slow the water down if you're tilted on the Left

downward tilt it's gonna slow that water coming down and channel it

the windshield frame all right I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I got to

point this out the very front of the hardtop versus the edge of the door is

way too large and there's no water break on the drip rail so therefore when you

open the door and you're pointed downwards this water is gonna shoot

right into the door man I hate they done that I really think they'll probably

change this in the next year model I guarantee it here we are taking a look

at the left front door seal and as you can see here on the right side the JK

model has some deformities here on this seal and it's not very firm as you can

see here this definitely has the potential for a water leak so now let's

take a look at the jail and see what changes they made okay this thing looks

a lot better they definitely redesigned this to benefit for water leaks because

this is way more firmer and it just feels so much better now let's look at

the top of the door seal they made a few changes here also as you can see the

jail doesn't have those horizontal ribs in the door seal like the JK did now I'm

not really sure why they took those out maybe to have more ceiling surface area

I'm not really sure I thought it was a good idea whatever it was I'm sure

there's a good purpose behind it now if we move down towards the door jamb area

this is a very very crucial point here for water leaks now the reason this is

such a critical area is because right here is where it makes a transition from

sealing surfaces let me show you what I'm talking about now as you can see

here the clean spot on this door seal is where the door is making contact with

the seal and if we come down you can see that the seal is directly straight in

front of us okay but when we come up and start to turn the sealing surface area

moves to the outside of the seal unfortunately where the transition takes

place there's just not enough contact area there so it allows water to come by

and therefore is where some of our leaks come from so let's see what changes they

made on the jail body for this concern now you can see here the door seal looks

a little flat right here and I'm getting a little concerned because this area is

very very flat and looks like a huge

potential for water leak because there is no structure here at all it's not

firm or nothing you can see me pushing down on it

I really thought they would make some changes in this area since this is a

previous issue that we had and remember guys this is a brand new vehicle we've

never been on before so it's not like it's worn out or had time to wait now

let's take a look at the left side of the header seal where the hardtop sits

into the a pillar bucket yes I said muck it don't ask what it is that's just what

they call it now the JL version looks way better than

this JK version if you can look at the JK man it just looks like total I don't

know what up there and this is a brand new car to both these are brand new

vehicles guys I've got some major changes here in the water management

system coming up so make sure you keep watching now this is a very crucial area

for water leaks and let me point those out right quick right here where the

hardtop comes down into that market that market can get folded back okay and when

you lay the hardtop down it's folded inside that is a problem there's just

all kinds of problems going on with this JK here I'm really surprised as things

not leaking now let's look at the JL version now this thing looks so much

better it fits better it's smoother your transition point here it just looks way

better there's no bumps and humps in it this is definitely a benefit for the Jo

owners on the water leaks Jeep has done a good job on this now let's go ahead

and move back to the b-pillar markets now Jeep definitely made some changes to

the jl body on this but you're really gonna see the difference once we get the

hardtop off so let's go ahead and take the front hardtops off now if you'll

notice the JK has four latches to hold the left

hardtop bone and a screw down clamp here in that b-pillar roll bar

now the JL does not have that screw down clamp they took that away

although the folding the wind showdown is not new to the Wrangler Jeep sure did

make it a heck of a lot easier to get it down now here are two of the six bolts

that you'd need to remove to fold the windshield name

but when we do for the windshield down is that creating any potential water

leaks you might be surprised so make sure you keep watching all right the

first thing I noticed when I get this top off is it is way lighter man this

thing this thing barely weights anything compared to the old ones all right so

now let's take a look and see what changes they made to the actual hardtop

itself what you're looking at here is the left rear corner which is going to

be on that B pillar area as you can see the JL doesn't have all these extra foam

pieces and stuff like that and that's due to the upgraded B pillar mucket they

did a better job on that now if you've ever seen water dripping on the radio

this is actually one of a couple reasons that would happen so what you're looking

at here is where the hard tops meet in the center this is actually that corner

where it seals there and as you can see the JK has padding there whether the JL

doesn't now that's due to the upgrade of weather stripping on the right side

hardtop we'll take a look at that in just a minute now if you've ever had

water inside the actual hardtop sloshing around it's because the hard tops made

of two pieces as you can see here and for any reason if that seal has ever

broken whether you drop the top or you're in the accident water then is

allowed to get inside the hardtop and sloshed around at that point the hardtop

section that had the water in it would need to be replaced now as you can see

the JL is the same design so they have the potential for that also let's move

up top and take a look at some of the biggest changes Jeep is made in the

water management system what you're looking at here is the left front header

seal now we took a look at this earlier but that was with the top home let's see

what this looks like with the top off right off the bat you can tell a

complete difference in this header seal the JL has a lot more structure and

firmness to this seal than the JK does let's take a look at the JK and see

where its weaknesses were as you can see by the dirt and debris there's been a

lot of water running through this channel already now the way water gets

into that channel is the hardtop actually sits here along the edge and

water can get past that seal that first seal and run along in this channel now

when it runs along that channel it falls down into the driver's door seal now

there's a special channel for that water to be able to come down the

door okay now if all these things aren't right then you end up with a water leak

now water leak in this area will always show up in the floorboard now if you

have water dripping down the a-pillar onto the dash panel where the door

handles that then that is coming from a different area that's actually coming in

between the window frame and the header seal okay water is getting in between

there and when water gets in between there it comes through the body and

comes out of this seal right here on the backside of that seal and runs down the

a-pillar trim which now gets all over the door handle and the AC outlet now

let's take a closer look at the jl header seal as you can see already here

to the left there's a huge block there to where on the JK the water was able to

flow down into that left door channel so why is that there let's take a closer

look so you can tell already the thing looks way better and that channel

doesn't have water where it can come down so where does it go does it just

get stuck in there so I'm trying to figure this out you got a huge channel

in here and we come over and if you can see here it looks like they've designed

in somewhat of like a sunroof drain so this is huge guys look up in here see

right there that's the drain and it comes down the IE pillar and then I lose

it down here somewhere I can't I can't find it so what this is for is when you

fold down the windshield the water management system stays with the

windshield now what I'm curious to know is where does it come out at so let's

find out now I'm manually pouring water down this

channel just to see where it comes out at and as you can see here on the left

front fender it's coming out between the body gaps now this is pretty cool now

what we will have to worry about now is that drain getting clogged up with a

debris will there be small leaves or sticks or anything like that that might

get passed while the top is off and if you ever do put the windshield down when

it goes back up we'll need to make sure that that drain is

King now let's take a look at the right-side hardtop know it has a seal on

it that runs from the front to back that seals the left side hardtop now they

have made changes here and they look pretty good now this is where you see

that leak on top of the radio now I think this will help out a lot so now

let's make our way to the rear of the hardtop now let's take a look at this JK

this is a brand new Jeep as you can see the redesign of the JL will not have

this issue this is interesting let's take a closer look at this JK alright so

you can see I mean the seals pulled up right here the butyl tape is everywhere

the foam piece is not in this right place and look at this when I lift it up

the drain is completely crushed now if you have a leak in the b-pillar roll bar

area where the overhead light is at this could be one of your issues and guys

these are some of the problems that we have with the JK that they affixed with

the JL and I really gladly did now we're gonna move along the back of the front

hard tops and you can see the seal here almost looks the same JK versus JL but

that's not really what's important you're gonna get some water past there

what's important is what you do with that water once it gets past the JL has

a phenomenally better water management system then the JK does now here we're

looking at the b-pillar drain on the JL and it has the sunroof drain like the

front does and this is such a better way of doing it and if you look up

underneath the front door in the rear door

there's the drain for it so that's pretty cool awesome guys Jeep has made a

lot of changes on the jail and they definitely took water leaks into

consideration as you can tell from the video now are there some areas there

where we might see leaks I'm sure there are but I think that the JL will have

way less water leaks then the JK did now if you do get a water leak on the jail

make sure you check those drains there's actually four of them there's one in

each corner of the hardtops okay so I don't know if they're gonna make

something like a little snake type of thing or something like that but it's

really gonna just get debris in the top of it I really

don't think it'll get clogged up down through the actual tube just at the top

especially with the the tops off you never know when leaves or something like

that's going to get down in there just make sure you keep your drains clean and

also if you ever get a water leak on the driver's or passenger side floorboard

make sure you take a look at that door jamb area on the actual door seal that

looked like a really bad potential area for a water leak and that was gonna show

up in the floorboard guys I really appreciate you watching and like I

I'm going to tell you about that today.

Okay, onto today's show, which comes from a house cleaner who wrote in the other day,

and she was having a really bad day.

And she wanted to quit and get out of the business because it just was not the business

she thought she signed up for.

Now, my suggestion to her was yes, get out of the business.

Hang up your towel, call it a day, call it quits, you're done.

Fire yourself, get out of the business.

And go to bed tonight and you will sleep like a baby.

And when you wake up in the morning, your head will be clear, you will be refreshed,

and then you can start a new house cleaning business.

Now, you know what you now know, and you can do things differently or you can do things

the same, but you have a choice.

Here's where it comes from.

It comes from years of experience of me firing myself.

Now, if you are in the business long enough, you're going to have days where they're just

crap days, and you hate your job and you hate the people that you work for and you might

even hate yourself.

And you say to yourself, "Why am I doing this to myself?

This is a stupid job for me.

I don't even know why I'm cleaning houses."

In the back of your mind, you do know.

You do know it's either because it's paying the bills for your family, it's an honest

way to make a living, it's a good way to make a living if you have limited education or

if you have an amazing education but you've decided this is a better way to earn a living

than the previous job that you had.

It might even be that you love seeing completion, where you see something really dirty and you

know with your magical powers you can turn it into something amazing.

I'm now going to tell you about the hardest money I ever earned.

There was one particular day I was just having a crap day and I decided,

"This is not for me!

I have no idea what I'm doing here.

Why am I in this business?"

And I fired myself.

I was so pleased.

I fired myself, I'm working all these hours, there's all these problems, I have employee

challenges, it's just a crap business.

I'm out.

And I'm going to go get me a 9:00 to 5:00 job.

So, I marched into an office where they do recruiting.

And somebody pays you and they send you out on a job, and then when you get there, you

learn the job or you use the skills that you have, and then at the end of the day or the

end of the week, they cut you a check and they just provide these jobs for you until

you find a good fit.

So I was like, "Okay, I will do that.

I will go find a job that's right for me."

So I went into the recruiter's office and we had this little meeting.

She sits down and she says, "What are your skills?"

I said, "Actually, I'm very talented.

I can do a lot of things.

I would like your highest paying job and I will match my skills to that highest paying

job that you have."

And she said, "Well, what do you know?"

I said, "I'm very strong, very multi-tasked, I can do all kind of handyman chores, I can

do physical lifting, I can do cleaning, I can do this, I can do that.

Whatever.

I'm really good on a variety of things, I've got good people skills, you name it.

I want your highest paying job."

She said, "Great.

How soon can you start?"

And I said, "Right now."

And she said, "I have a job for you first thing tomorrow morning."

And I said, "Great, what do I wear?"

And she said, "Comfortable clothes."

Okay, so comfortable clothes for me, it's a house cleaning uniform.

This is what I've been wearing every day for 25 years, this is comfortable for me.

I showed up the next day and I was grossly overdressed.

I get there and there's a room full of people, and we all look like we're homeless people

and she says, "Okay, the bus is about to leave."

I'm like, "What do you mean the bus is about to leave?"

"You're going to get on a bus and they're going to take you to the job."

I was like, "Okay, well I have my own car."

She's like, "No, no, no, your own car's not allowed.

You have to ride the bus with everyone else and go and come on the same bus, otherwise

you don't get paid at the end of the day."

And I was like, "Whoa, I just lost some of my independence."

But all right, so I get on the bus.

Turns out that we're heading to a thrift store.

When we get to the thrift store, the manager comes out and he says, "Okay, our job for

the day is I have three tractor-trailers that are full of big bundles of clothes."

And the clothes were about 200 pounds in each bundle, and they were wrapped together with

wire wrapping.

And so they were stacked, 16 in a stack, all the way across this tractor-trailer.

And so I was like, "Holy crap, what is this?"

These are all the clothes and all the donations that people had sent to this thrift store.

And now we were going to be pulling off these big bundles of clothes and we were going to

be cutting off the wire wrapping that bundled them together, and then we were going to be

sorting the clothes into piles, like shirts, pants, socks, shoes, whatever it was, the

bundles of stuff, we were going to be separating them and then determining whether this gets

chunked, whether it goes to the dry cleaners, what the different possibilities for these

items were.

And I looked at these three tractor truckloads of clothing, and then I looked over at the

team, and I was like, "Oh boy, we have our work cut out for us."

And I start trying to do the math in my mind.

If we're only here for eight hours today and we have those three tractor truckloads, how

many hours are we able to spend on each tractor-trailer load and we are going to have to work as hard

and as fast as we possibly can in order to get this job done.

So, I start looking around at the team that we have and I start trying to analyze in my

mind, who am I going to buddy up with that looks like they can help me get this job done.

And so, I started picking out, just in my head, picking out my favorite people, like

I got to go make friends with this perfect stranger now and

he has to help me on this job.

Anyway, I buckled down, I can do this, this is fine, I'm sure we're going to make a boatload

of money for this.

And I got to work.

And I've never worked harder, I've never worked faster in my life.

I was just sweating profusely.

And it's not all the clothes are at this level, okay?

They're all big bundles on the floor and so there's a lot of bending and reaching and

lifting and sorting and moving, and it's a lot of physical movement.

And by the end of the day, my back, my neck, my shoulders, everything just hurt.

All right?

So it was about two hours before the end of the day, and the manager pulls me off the

job, and he takes me down a hall into a little private sitting room, and he offers me a job.

He says, "Okay, listen.

I've seen you work, I don't know where you came from, I have no idea what your story

is, but I would like to hire you as a manager for my store."

And he said, "We can even cut out this temp agency that you came from so that I can pay

you more money and I don't have to pay them a commission."

And my first thought was, "Oh my goodness.

You're offering me a job and these are your ethics?

You're going to cut out the person that found me and brought me to your store.

Wait a second, let me think.

Yeah, that's not the kind of guy that I want to work for."

And I decided in that moment, this is not a good fit for me personally.

This is not a good job for me, but I will finish out the day because I promised that

I would, and I will give you 100% of my efforts.

Again, I went back to work and I worked and I worked and I worked, and almost blood, sweat,

and tears.

At the end of the day, we had three tractor-trailers completely emptied, completely sorted, and

I was literally managing this team of people, like, "Hey, I need this, I need that," and

we were having fun and we were friends at the end of the day.

Thank goodness we made it work, we did the job, we met the task, we met the requirements.

We get back on the bus, we're feeling' like a million bucks, and we go back to the station

where they write our checks.

And this is one of the days where they pay you at the end of the day.

So we get back to the little station and the lady has this little window, and you stand

in line and you go up to the window.

And we'd already filled out paperwork and 1099s or W-2s or whatever it was.

It was actually a W-2 because they took the taxes out.

So I get up to the counter and the lady takes my name, she looks at my paperwork, and then

she takes her own sweet time and she writes me a check and she hands me back the check.

And I look at the check, and I look at the lady, and I look back at the check, and I

look at the lady, and I busted up laughing.

She says, "Is there a problem?"

And I said, "Yeah, how much did we get paid for today?"

And she says, "You get paid minimum wage, and then we took the taxes out."

And I'm holding a check in my hand for $14.63.

I have never laughed so hard in my life because

I've never worked so hard for such little money.

And I looked at that check and I said, "You know what?

I'm not even going to cash this check.

I'm going to frame it and I'm going to remind myself on days where I feel like I'm going

to get out of the business and I'm going to fire myself, I'm going to remind myself that

there are people out there that are willing to work for a whole lot less money and do

much, much, much harder tasks."

Because on my worst days in the house cleaning business, I have never worked that hard.

And I went racing back to the house cleaning business.

I'm like, "Hey, wait a second.

This is where I belong.

I was wrong.

I got out of the business for 24 hours, I just checked, I'm back again.

I belong in the house cleaning business."

So if you have a day where everything goes to crap, that's okay.

You're human, it happens to all of us.

It happens to me.

It happens to me now.

There are days ... Just a couple weeks ago, I'm like, "Why am I doing this?"

It's a crazy business.

It is a crazy business.

We can deal with crazy people.

That's how life works.

And that's how we pay our bills.

So if you have a really bad day, you're not alone.

It's okay.

You're not alone.

Fire yourself for the day, get out of the business, wash your hands of it, and then

come back tomorrow with a better attitude and do things differently than you did the

first time.

Because every time you fire yourself and every time you bring yourself back, it will renew

your reasons why, and it will renew your enthusiasm for being your own boss, and for making your

own hours, and for balancing out the workload so that you're not doing the hardest work

of your life for the littlest amount of money.

Why I defected from PDP to APC - Party chieftain - Duration: 2:24.

Ojougboh, who said this in a statement on Monday in Abuja, noted that he saw the APC as a solid foundation to build Delta.

Ojougboh was the Deputy National Chairman of the Sen. Ali Modu-Sherif faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and a former South-South chairman of the party.

"When I joined the APC, I saw that you people have worked very hard, and I saw a solid foundation,'' he said.

He expressed optimism that an APC government would be enthroned in Delta come 2019, because of its popularity and the commitment of its members in the state.

Ojougboh, while saying that the APC was a united party, advised that its members must be respectful and loyal to its structures and hierarchy to ensure its electoral victory come in the 2019 general elections.

According to him, I have embarked on consultation tour of the state`s senatorial districts and I am pleased by the number of party chieftains that received me during such visits.

"I must confess that I was intimidated by the crowd of APC members and the calibre of party chieftains I saw in places I visited.

"And I said to myself, with this caliber of people, there is no fear in winning election in Delta,'' Ojougboh said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that until his recent defection to the APC, Ojougboh was a chieftain of the PDP. Meanwhile, Ojougboh promised to serve for only one term if elected as the governor of the state.

Ojougboh was a onetime member representing Ika Federal Constituency in the national assembly, and PDP governorship aspirant in the run-up to the PDP governorship primaries in 2007.

He said his desire to contest the governorship election is borne out of a desire to rescue Delta State from PDP misrule, the Nation reports.

How do I clean my oven?

Before leaning the inside of your oven

always ensure the oven is switch off and completely cold

remove all trays and grills from the oven before you start

the oven can be clean using water and washing off liquid

fill up the jug with warm water rather than cold and pour the content into the oven

add a small amount of liquid soap into the oven and turn it on at 60 degree celcius for 1 hour

Once this is completed, turn off the oven

Open the oven door and leave it to cool before removing the liquid with a sponge

After cleaning, a dry cloth can be used to remove any residual moisture

When finished, put the grills and trays back into the oven again

How do I clean my tumble dryer filter?

Tumble dryer fluff filters require cleaning after every drying cycle

If you do not clean them regularly, you may find that the clothes are not dried to the normal high standards

The fluff filters are located in the door area which can be easily removed as shown

Wipe around the door area and feel the cavity, using a cloth to remove any residual fluff that has formed

Fluff on the filters should be wipe with a cloth, on both the inside and the outside

The filters should then be run under the tap

And dried throughly with a tea towel

Repeat the same process with the second fluff towel

Once dry, the filters can be slotted securely back into position

Jenkins | Installing Jenkins as a standalone application - Duration: 1:51.

Installing Jenkins as a standalone application.

First go-to official Jenkins

download page and select generic Java package.

This will download the .war file

for you.

In this folder I have my downloaded Jenkins war file along with a

batch file that I created in order to run Jenkins.

Inside the batch file I have

included the command to run the .war file. most of this command relates to

modifications to content security policy of Jenkins, which we will need later when

generating test reports with squish double click the batch file to start

installation. Once you see the message "Jenkins is fully up and running" in the

console, go up and copy the password to unlock Jenkins. Then go to localhost port

8080 in your browser and paste the password that you just copied in to the

text field on unlock page. Next you should see the "Customize Jenkins" page.

In case if you see that Jenkins is offline, open the file Hudson model

updates center XML and modify HTTPS to HTTP and save. Then stop the batch file and

run it again. Now select install suggested plugins to continue. This will

install default plug-ins for Jenkins. You can customize all these plugins later.

finally, create a user to login to Jenkins.

Jenkins is ready!

we will learn how to create a new Jenkins job in the next

tutorial.
