Laser Mapping, Chimp Disgust, Floating Island, Spit Concussions, Organic Semiconductors... - Duration: 6:48.
A massive leap in the autonomous vehicle revolution has arrived with the brand new Velodyne VLS-128.
Ten times more powerful and a third the size of the previous model, it uses 128 lasers
and new auto-alignment technology to map the surrounding area with a 300 meter range.
And a new study from Kyoto University's Primate Research Institute sheds light on
the origins of our disgust mechanism.
As it turns out chimpanzees will eat seeds from their own family's poop right away,
but hesitate before eating from stranger poop.
Vsauce!
Kevin, here.
This is Mind Blow.
After years of work by The Seasteading Institute, Blue Frontiers is set to unveil the world's
first floating island.
The island in French Polynesia, will consist of floating concrete upon which homes, offices,
shops, restaurants, and science research centers can be built -- and re-arranged as needed.
Blue Frontiers hopes to have a dozen floating islands that can adapt to changing sea levels
ready by 2020 and to make sustainable communities on the ocean a viable option for 1 billion
people by 2050.
Researchers at Penn State College of Medicine believe that we can better diagnose concussions
with saliva.
By testing the levels of microRNAs present in tiny molecules of spit, the team found
more accurate diagnoses and predictions of how long symptoms would last compared to traditional
survey tools.
The quick, reliable diagnosis of concussions and their severity would allow doctors and
sports medicine professionals to harness biomarkers to implement appropriate treatment immediately.
So maybe spit analysis will be coming to a future football sideline near you.
Pills with built-in radiofrequency emittors will make sure you take your prescriptions.
Brigham and Women's Hospital did a pilot study involving oxycodone equipped with ingestible
digital biosensors inside gelatin pills.
The pills communicated information to doctors who were able to see how often patients used
the potentially-addictive medication.
And these monitored patients ended up taking only a fraction of the prescription to manage
their pain -- a breakthrough that could help rein in the growing opioid epidemic in the
United States.
Another new breakthrough could make organic semiconductors a viable alternative to silicon
in phones, TVs, and flexible electronics..
By using a new method of "doping," which adds impurities to semiconductors to increase
their conductivity, researchers from Princeton, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Humbolt
University in Berlin were able to increase conductivity by 100,000 times.
This would allow for a cheaper and greener way to create the foundation of modern electronics.
Which means, that phone in your pocket could eventually be a carbon-based life form.
Kinda.
Buckypaper is looking to make wearable technology cheaper.
Researchers at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering have developed durable, highly-flexible motion
sensors using "buckypaper", which is a sheet of carbon nanotubes 50,000 times thinner
than a human hair.
Buckypaper would allow wearable tech to stand up to the demands of the human experience
at a fraction of the current cost.
Everything from bed sheets that monitor your sleep to shoes that count your steps and track
your posture are on the table.
Don't know what to wear?
An artificial intelligence system can learn your style and suggest outfits.
A team at the University of California San Diego worked with Adobe to develop a trainable
AI that uses your browsing data to present images of clothing that you'll want to put
on -- and it can also design new pieces of clothing based on your preferences.
This could be extremely helpful for those of us who aren't particularly fashionable.
An algorithm can now diagnose pneumonia better than humans.
Pneumonia is responsible for nearly a fifth of deaths among children under the age of
5 worldwide and notoriously difficult to diagnose.
It took the Machine Learning Group just one week to develop the CheXNet algorithm that
analyzes images to spot markers indicating pneumonia.
After a month of learning, CheXNet was better at identifying all 14 pathologies.
According to the World Health Organization, lower respiratory infections account for over
5% of deaths worldwide -- a number that CheXNet is poised to reduce.
3D printing silicone allows for highly-durable models with more realistic elasticity.
The Disney Research Institute has pioneered a method of injecting a variety of materials,
including water bubbles, into MetaSilicone prints.
The result is output that mirrors the elastic complexity of the world around us -- including
creating lifelike, multi-density models of organs that can be used for surgical training.
And bunnies that can safely withstand hammers.
So that's good.
For a clean and easy way to watch every episode of Mind Blow I created a Mind Blow website
with Squarespace.
I've made a lot of websites over the years and this was by far the most stress-free process
for making a site that looks great and works great.
You just choose a template, make it your own and you're done.
So check out the link below to start creating your website and in the process support Mind
Blow.
Which is officially back.
I'm gonna leave you with the Raven R, the robot Baidu hopes will be dancing in every
living room -- and as always, thanks for watching.
Okay, mom.
Bye.
What're you doing, Susie?
She wanted to hear the voice going through the wire.
You can't hear voices in the wire!
Well, how does it work?
How'd your mother's voice get in the phone?
That's simple!
It...
That's funny, I don't know.
I never thought about it before.
We were talking as if we were in the same room.
How does the telephone work, Uncle Bill?
Magic?
No, not magic, susie, but science.
Science of sound waves and electricity.

Life Beyond Neptune: The Kuiper Belt & Scattered Disc - Duration: 5:24.
[♪ INTRO]
It might not always seem like much, but the solar system is a really big place.
It's almost stupidly big.
Normally, we just think about the planets and maybe the asteroid belt,
but it includes a lot more than that.
And to make sense of it all, astronomers break things up into regions
where the objects are more or less similar.
Beyond Neptune, and before you get to a group of icy objects called the Oort Cloud,
there are two big transition regions called the Kuiper Belt and the scattered disc,
and together, they form the frontier of modern planetary science.
The Kuiper Belt stretches from about 30 to 55 astronomical units, or AU.
One AU is the average distance from the Earth to the Sun,
and astronomers use it to describe large distances.
After about 55 AU, the scattered disc starts.
The objects in both these regions are the frozen leftovers of when the planets formed.
Back in the early history of the solar system,
they were all tossed around when the giant planets migrated outward.
Kind of like when you go grocery shopping
and push your leftovers to the back of the fridge.
Now, the Kuiper Belt is mostly known for being full of icy objects,
like comets, or for being home to Pluto.
But it's actually defined by something a heck of a lot bigger: Neptune.
Neptune basically rules the Kuiper Belt.
It influences the orbits of most objects that exist there
because of an effect called a mean motion resonance.
These resonances happen at spots where Kuiper Belt objects
orbit the Sun in a nice, even ratio with Neptune.
For example, Pluto's trapped in a 2:3 resonance,
meaning it orbits the Sun exactly twice for every three orbits Neptune makes.
And that keeps Pluto from flying off course.
Not all Kuiper Belt objects are in resonance with Neptune,
but they're still close enough to be affected by it in some way.
And in the region as a whole, these resonances are a stabilizing force
and define what it means to be in the Kuiper Belt.
Beyond about 55 AU, Neptune's influence become weaker and less important.
That's where the scattered disc starts,
and it extends all the way to the edge of the Oort Cloud,
thousands of AU from the Sun.
Objects in the scattered disc are… well, scattered.
For once, astronomers actually gave something a useful name.
Instead of being neatly ordered by Neptune's gravity,
these objects are much more likely to be disrupted by it,
and that can throw them into some extreme orbits.
Take Eris, a dwarf planet in the scattered disc.
Its orbit carries it anywhere from 38 to 98 AU, and it's also tilted by 45 degrees,
which means it usually is way above or below the plane of the solar system.
Now, even though we use physics to draw distinctions
between the Kuiper Belt and the scattered disc,
the worlds in both regions are probably pretty similar.
They're mostly big balls of ice, but that is definitely not as boring as it sounds.
These regions are normally way more exciting and interesting
than anything we could've imagined.
In 2015, when New Horizons flew by Pluto and its moon Charon,
it was our first real experience with the Kuiper Belt,
and it showed us a ton of weird stuff.
For one, their surfaces are covered in a strange organic substance astronomers call tholins,
and they even seem to exchange the ingredients to make tholins back and forth.
Also, two of Pluto's smaller moons, Nix and Hydra, both rotate chaotically,
which means it's literally impossible to predict how they'll spin in the future.
Then, outside the Pluto system, there's Haumea,
another object in the Kuiper Belt slightly smaller than Pluto.
This year, scientists discovered that Haumea has a ring,
making it the farthest known ring system in the entire solar system!
Basically, the Kuiper Belt is packed with variety,
and we're still figuring out what other objects might exist there.
And since many objects in the scattered disc have extremely elongated orbits,
they might be totally new kinds of strange.
Even in the Kuiper Belt, changing temperatures over Pluto's elliptical orbit means that
its atmosphere can more than triple in pressure over the course of a Pluto year,
which is pretty dang weird.
Imagine being on Earth and getting squished by the atmosphere every few months.
So who knows what's hiding in the scattered disc.
To find out the true range of possibilities, we'll need to study some more objects.
Unfortunately, the scattered disc is hard to research
because it's really dark that far from the Sun,
and it's hard to get clear images with our telescopes.
And sending a probe there would take decades.
So for now, we'll focus on learning more about the Kuiper Belt.
And New Horizons is gonna make that happen.
On New Year's Day 2019, it'll fly by a Kuiper Belt object called 2014 MU69.
It might be what scientists call a contact binary,
a pair of objects that orbit each other so closely that they might even touch!
But we'll know more soon.
Sadly, after New Horizons is finished,
the Kuiper Belt and scattered disc will go back to just being points of light to us.
But we've already learned a ton about them,
and now we've got a whole new appreciation for all those weird worlds out there.
Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow Space!
If you'd like to learn more about what comes after the scattered disc,
you can check out another one of our episodes, where I tell you all about the Oort Cloud!

Aries, keep an eye on the money, but 2018 is also great for personal healing, be it
physical or psychological.
My Tip: Have courage!
Don't be afraid to change, and throw away whatever isn't good.
Money
Be flexible and confident, especially if you
were born in the beginning of the sign or has Aries rising at its first degrees.
The place you work in may be in money trouble and you may have to find out what to do.
But if you need a loan, Jupiter can give you a hand on that.
Health
Here comes a strong psychosomatic issue
Take care of your mind, so that your body don't suffer.
Arians born at the beginning of the sign will feel psychological pressure due to Chiron
in Aries, between April and September.
Career
Pluto was already asking you to reinvent yourself
and now Saturn wants you to rearrange yourself too.
It's not easy, but flexibility is the key to keep track of what's coming.
Love
Stay tuned for a male buddy that can mark your year, defying your stability or safety.
Take note!
The best month for love is March, but in eclipse time an unexpected person may let your heart
beating fast!
Or you'll find out that you're going to have a child.
Okay, now your heart is really beating fast - breath deeply, sit down...
Oh, and you can take sex toys out of the closet, because sex will be hot in November.

Almost all "terror" plots are created by the FBI as part of its business model.
What is the business of the FBI?
Extracting tax.
What does it need to do that?
A stable threat.
Prob?
Real terrorists are sporadic & make FBI look weak.
Solution?
Make them.
This was tweeted from Julian Assange almost 10 days ago and I wonder how every mainstream
media failed to report this story?
are worried that undercover operations of this kind infringe on the rights of Americans.
Stephen Downs, an attorney and founding member of Project Salam , which gives legal support
to Muslims, told Business Insider that " the government has developed a technique of engaging
targets in conversations of a somewhat provocative nature, and then trying to pick up on things
the target says, which might suggest illegal activity — and then trying to push them
into pursuing those particular activities."
Downs also said that the FBI often targets particularly vulnerable people, such as those
with mental disabilities.
"VERY OFTEN, THEY [THE FBI] TARGET PEOPLE WHO ARE GENUINELY PSYCHOTIC, WHO ARE TAKING
MEDICATION," HE SAID.

Cómo ROOTEAR MIUI9 Global [Oficial] Rom cualquier Xiaomi - Duration: 8:11.
Good friends, I'm Manu.
Today we will rootear Global Official MIUI 9.
I'm going to do in my Xiaomi redmi 4A and I will discuss what we will do.
Let's try that do not have root access now.
Root Checker app we use for it.
Click on verify root.
We do not have root access.
Now we activate the USB debugging is the developer options.
To enable them we are going to Settings, phone information.
7 times in a row we press on MIUI version.
I take this opportunity to show you the version of MIUI 9 on which we work.
7.11.16 Beta that is.
We return back to access developer options.
Ahora simplemente flasheamos nuestro fichero zip.
no deja restaurar bien nuestro rooteo.
Vamos a reiniciar el sistema.
Desmarcamos estas dos opciones y le damos a no instalar.
Este primer inicio después haber instalado el root va a durar unos minutos como cuando
flasheamos una rom.
Entorno a cinco minutos.

🎁 GIFT GUIDE: BOOKS FOR "HARD TO SHOP FOR" PEOPLE || 2017 - Duration: 7:27.
Hey guys, it's Emily! For today's video I am doing a book gift-giving guide for
people that are hard to buy books for! So I am looking pretty festive, as you can
see. My lovely roommates were kind enough to get me this sweater. As a book lover I
love giving books, but sometimes it can be kind of hard to figure out what to
give someone who you don't talk about books with all that much, who's not a
huge reader, and so these are for those kinds of people. So first up I have books
that would be great for people who just give kind of non-committal answers like,
"I just like really good books," or they list off a bunch of like the biggest
blockbuster hits that you've heard of. These are great books that they may not
have read yet, but I think they'll also like. The first of those is The Seven
Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This is a book that I do
not think has gotten enough buzz and attention and all that good stuff
because it's great! In this the titular Evelyn Hugo is like the be-all end-all
glamorous old Hollywood star, and she is giving a tell-all interview to a
magazine writer named Monique all about our life--pure truth, no fabrication,
telling it like is. And it's framed around her infamous seven husbands. What
we come to understand is that Evelyn Hugo's greatest love was actually with
a woman, and then we go from there. It is juicy, it's page turning, it's full of old
Hollywood glamour and drama and all that kind of stuff. I love this. It is
seemingly a very light read--it's blurbed by Cosmopolitan and Us Weekly--
but it has a lot more substance than that. It looks at identity, it looks at
the presentation of identity. Evelyn Hugo is bisexual. She's Latina but hides that
for the sake of her career and Monique the woman who's interviewing Evelyn is
biracial and so Jenkins Reade is really making an effort to examine identity and
how we present it it's really interesting and well done and on top of
that it's just a super fun page-turner so this would be a great book for
someone who says stuff like I'm just like good books next I have half of a
Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie I think this would make a great gift first
of all because it is a brilliant brilliant brilliant book and this we
follow five characters during the 1960's in Nigeria during the Nigerian Biafra
Civil War and then secondly I think this would be a great book
because a lot of people know Adichie's name but they know it from her TED talks
not from her writing so she's done several TED talks the most famous of
which is we should all be feminists which was used in Beyonce's song
flawless so people know her from that I think fewer people have actually read
her fiction this is a brilliant book it is just beautifully written in the
characters are so compelling I actually did a full review of this if you want to
check it out for more information I'll leave a link to it in the cards and down
below I think this would make an awesome gift next I have little fires everywhere
by Celeste egg this is just such great literary fiction it's so good it's equal
parts page-turner and literary the structure of the story makes it a real
page-turner and this we predominantly follow the Richardson family who live in
the wealthy suburb of Shaker Heights Ohio during the 1890s and literally
page1 their house burns to the ground and we go from there I think this is
very well known in the bookish community and the literary community is like for
people who aren't in those communities maybe haven't heard of it yet I think it
would make an amazing gift next I have books for people who say things like I
only read articles online which is the thing that I have been told several
times these are all essay collections that I just absolutely love the first of
those is you can't touch my hair by Phoebe Robinson Phoebe Robinson is
hilarious she's one half of the podcast - nope Queens she's a writer she's the
comedian she's an actress and in this she writes about pop culture about race
about feminism and it's all hilarious it's a quick fun hilarious read I think
you make an awesome gift next I'm slouching towards Bethlehem by
Joan Didion this is a fabulous essay collection a lot of these essays
articles appeared in newspapers and magazines and they're just so good some
of them are about actual events so it's Joan Didion covering something or other
and then others are very personal essays all of them are great so so so great if
you have someone who likes reading longer articles who likes very serious
very prose heavy articles this is for them it's brilliant and lastly for this
category I have bad feminist by Roxane gay this is a collection of that essay
is all about feminism Roxane gay is ridiculously smart she's
funny she is just all of the good things I love her so much
she examines everything from dealing with trauma to Sweet Valley
High and can you read and love Sweet Valley High and still be a feminist I
just think this is essential feminist reading it's like I said an essay
collection so each chapter focuses on different things it's just wonderful
would make an amazing gift next I have some recommendations for people to say I
only read nonfiction I think people often really do read very much
nonfiction at all or they read a whole lot of nonfiction and nothing else and
so if you were in the former category trying to give a gift for someone in the
latter it could be kind of hard so I have a few non-fiction books that I
think would make amazing gifts the first of those is devil in the White City by
Erik Larsen this is really good historical nonfiction and this we
followed two storylines one of them is all about the Chicago World's Fair
during 1890 to 93 and blanking on the exact date and the architects who built
it to chill our white city it also follows a storyline of the devil in this
case it is HH Holmes who was America's most notorious serial killer he built a
hotel that came to be known as the murder castle because he built it as
this like terrifying lair where he could kill people and then experiment on them
and one of the reasons that he was so successful for so long as a serial
killer it's a little weird to say successful young woman who would go to
Chicago for the World's Fair would stay at his hotel and then be murdered and so
it is about those two storylines weaving together ambition and American
exceptionalism in two very very different forms it is a brilliant super
compelling work of nonfiction next I have the Emperor of all maladies by
Siddhartha Mukherjee this is one of my all-time favorite non-fiction books it
is as you can see by the subtitle a biography of cancer so it looks at
cancer the history of cancer going back to classical times how we treat it today
how we treated it then all that kind of stuff it's beautifully written it is
long but don't be intimidated I think that this is easier to read than a lot
of shorter nonfiction Mukerji does such a good job of just injecting this with
humanity I adore this 100% recommend it even if someone is not a big science
nonfiction reader they should read this you got to read this it's a central
reading and lastly I have a non fixed I think is one of the best non-fiction
books of the year and that is killers the flower moon by David Graham this
follows an FBI investigation back when the FBI was still very much a fledgling
organization the investigation is of a series of murders in AUSA County
Oklahoma oil is found in Osage County which is owned by the AUSA gin daeun
nation and all of a sudden are such people are found murdered and so we go
from there it's a look at America's very dark and bloody history when it comes to
the treatment of Native Americans it is super compelling it reads like true
crime plus historical nonfiction I love this I think I make an awesome gift so
that's it for my book gift-giving guide for people who are hard to shop for
that is a long title I'm gonna have to figure out how to condense that thanks
so much for watching if you like this video give it a thumbs up hit subscribe
to see my face you can find me on Twitter it possibly lit and on Instagram
and possibly literate and I'll see you next time

I Lost My Brother - Duration: 3:24.
My brother wasn't the nicest person but we loved each other.
And. over time he developed severe depression.
One day I was on a class trip and I was having fun.
So we had just finished up for the day and we were at dinner and the teacher got a phone
call and her eyes just got a look of terror.
She just pulled me aside and told me that "your brother has been found in the bathroom
with his wrists slit."
My eyes just filled with tears.
I went home from the trip early and I didn't get to see him.
They said I shouldn't have to see him like that.
I went to his funeral and everyone there was crying.
We opened his casket so that everyone can see him one last time and say goodbye and
I couldn't go over there.
I kind of just had a mental breakdown right then and there at his funeral.
I just had to leave and go home.
I couldn't take it.
I didn't get to see him being buried.
I would just lay in my room not come out and my mom would bring you food and be like
"try to eat this honey."
And I would tell her "uh-huh" but I never really ate it.
I lost a total of 30 pounds during that time.
Eventually, I started to come out more and kind of got to the fact that he was gone.
We boarded up his room and we never went in there.
I didn't go to school for about three months, and when I finally did, everyone would just
stare at me look at me and just say, "she's really here?"
And "Like I can't believe she actually came here."
I started coming to a therapist cuz my doctor recommended that.
My mom just did everything she could to help me and my sister get through it.
One day I saw my mom talking to a guy and he said, "okay so we're gonna put the wall
right here."
And turns out they were gonna board up my brother's room permanently by putting another
addition to the room.
To me, I didn't want that to happen so I told my mom "NO!"
But she told me they were gonna do it anyway.
But before they put up the wall I went in there and I took everything out of the room
that I wanted to remember him by.
The main thing that I wanted to take was one of his best hockey trophies.
My brother loved hockey and he had a great trophy that he got to take home after they
won the championship.
I saw the trophy and it sits in my room staring at me just taunting me.
A lot of times I walk to the cemetery where he's buried and I just sit there and talk
to him I guess.
I still miss him.
Every day I just think "what could I have done?"

Sir Gawain And The Green Knight - Duration: 3:18.
Long ago in a land known as Camelot,
there was a king named Arthur, whose story we already know
But his story is not the focus.
But we'll start there to set the scene!
in King Arthur's court, his noble knights were partying
around Christmas time. They were all very mery, and the time was splendid
when suddenly...
Who wants to chop off my head, and in a year I'll do the same to you?
whoosh
Blink blink
If it is a battle that thou'st cravest, thou shall not fail of a
fight here
cool I'll give you this axe or something...
let me just, make... my... way...down... here... urgh... ahh
You sure you want to do this?
DO IT!
It's a trap!
I'll do it cause I'm the lamest.
Fine by me; take care cousin!
I will not fail.
Any last words?
The rules are simple...
In twelve month and a day I will return the blow!!!!
Like that will ever happen.
YOU'll BE DEAD!
swoosh
EGAD! Gasp! OHHH MY!
So I guess I'll see you in twelve month and a day... or something
OHH man, Sir Gawain looks totally screwed!
who cares? It's not our problem!
Lets partaaay!
And so, Sir Gawain set out on his journey from Camelot;
which I couldn't find on a map
with a pretty sweet shield
that had a pentagram embossed on it
It represents the virtues Sir Gawain aspires to have
or it could mean something else... altogether...

Julian Assange Is Back – Drops A Truth Bomb For Las Vegas Massacre Media Silent!

Will They Still Fit?? - My Life Through Dresses - Duration: 5:08.
I know my hair is weird right now.
I straightened it cause I just couldn't do anything with it, and this is what we're stuck
with, so I'm goin' with it.
Hi everybody, I'm Amanda the G and you might be like 'hey Amanda, why are you standing
and why can you move around so much?'
I was going through my closet to try and switch out the winter stuff from the summer stuff
cause it's FREEZING here.
And I came across some dresses from my past so I figured, let's see if they still fit
and tell a little story about each.
We're starting with the oldest one.
This is from my sophomore year in high school.
I have no idea if this fat ass is going to fit into this dress (laughing).
(strained grunting) This skirt is so uncomfortable!
This kind of scares me that this still fits this good.
There's room in this shit. (dress crinkling) This was for the homecoming dance in my sophomore
year, that makes me like 15 when I wore this.
I went to the dance and I THINK that my friend Loren drove us because she might've been 16
by that point, she might have had her license.
But I don't really remember.
I just remember that we went to the dance and then we ended up at Frendly's afterwards,
because I'm from a small town, there's only a few places that we could go to that we could
afford.
If anyone is watching this who went to that dance, something that you didn't know is that
I couldn't wear this dress with underwear at the time because you could see the line,
so this was the ONLY TIME I EVER DID THIS, but I went without underwear and without tights
at that dance.
Let's move on to dress two.
This is my prom dress!
Which means I was like 17 when I wore this.
Moment of truth time.
(zipper) Oh my god.
Holy shit!
Um...
That's right, that's right, I fit in my prom dress!
Holy crap.
Not only does it fit, Amanda has room in her prom dress.
TAKE THAT 17 YEAR OLD SKINNY ASS AMANDA!
The prom was the only dance at all that Amanda actually had a date to.
Shout out to all the high school and middle school students sitting in the bathroom during
every slow song to not look like a loser.
I was there with you.
I used to sit on the sinks.
My friend Leah was gonna go with this guy and she asked him to set me up with my date.
And I don't remember his name.
I think it might've been Rob but I really don't know.
So I'm just gonna call him Rob and I'm sorry I forgot.
The two of us we're supposed to meet at Frendly's - once more, back to Frendly's! - and kind
of get to know each other a little bit before prom.
Rob was awesome and he got up for every slow song to dance with me so I didn't have to
be awkward sitting in the bathroom and pretending that I wasn't sad.
Then we went to the after prom party and he had to leave cause he had to work at like
8 o'clock in the morning.
So he stayed until like 2.
But you couldn't leave the after prom party and go back to it, because the school was
weird like that, so we had a really awkward saying goodbye hug in front of chaperones,
and I've never seen him again.
But then I won a TV, and had to cart it back with 4 inch heels on, and then I got changed,
my friends and I all went out to our local airport that never has anybody flying out
of it, from a frikin' small town, to try and watch the sun rise, but it was cloudy so all
that happened was it eventually got lighter.
And then we went to my friend Shawna's house and we ate pancakes, or rather fell asleep
with pancakes in our laps watching Grease 2.
And that, my friends, is how you do prom!
This is our third and final dress today.
This is from college.
This dress I bought with my best friend.
We went out to try and find dresses for this semi formal event with my team.
It was called the Sinatra party.
We had it on either Frank Sinatra's birthday or as close to it as we could get.
I got to get all classy.
This is, this is college classy Amanda.
Before I went to this dance, I did a little photo shoot with my best friend.
She was an art major so, you know, we took pictures.
And she set up this picture that was my profile picture on Facebook for YEARS.
I'm actually legitimately surprised that I was able to fit into all of these dresses
because I weighed a shit ton less in all of them when I bought them then I do now, which
is why weight is friggin stupid.
That's it for this episode of Amanda's life through dresses - I don't know if that's what
I'm gonna call it, I don't know if there's gonna be another one, let me know if you want
another one.
And if you liked this video, click the like button, and subscribe to my channel, I make
a new video every Tuesday and Friday.
Thank you guys so much for watching.
MWAH!
I feel so glamorous right now!
This is why Amanda wore this dress in high school, because it's fucking glamorous!

Holiday Cleaning – Delegate the Cleaning - Duration: 1:47.
Hi, I'm Lorie Marrero and as you get ready for your holiday gatherings this
year, don't be a martyr be smarter! I want you to delegate this year by having jobs
for people to do like the ones you see listed here on the screen. When someone
comes into the kitchen and asks "Can I help?" say yes and give them one of these
jobs to do. You know even the kids can be involved.
When you use Lemi Shine cleaners, they are non-toxic and safe for anyone to use.
So you can use something like this Everyday Cleaner, spray off the counters and
clear off everything and there's even a bonus that you may not know. There is a
natural polymer in the Everyday Cleaner called Gunk Guard that puts a protective
surface down as you clean making it actually easier to clean up next time.
And as you're going through the festivities, make a sink of hot soapy
water so that you could soak all those tough dishes and you can use Lemi
Shine Dish Soap. Now I want to show you something that I just learned about – this
is super cool. It has a drip proof valve so you can open this – it's not going to
drip – you clip it open on the back. You can leave it set up just like this on
your sink and give it a quick squeeze and always have it ready with one hand
operation, so I love this. So again don't be a martyr be smarter delegate this
year and if you like more holiday tips you can visit us at lemishine.com.

How to Use QuickJack's Frame Positioning Handles - Duration: 1:27.
Welcome to Quick Tips.
I'm Max.
Whenever I get a chance to attend a trade show for QuickJack, I get a lot of questions
about one thing in particular.
What is this thing, they ask, and how does it work?
It's called… a handle.
No, not that Handel.
This handle!
It's meant to help you adjust your frame to the right position under your car.
The handle is especially useful if you're pulling the frames out when you park your
car over them.
Using this handle can help prevent back strain and reaching.
However, this thing is really complicated to use, so I'm only going to show you once.
Ok?
Let's do this.
That's how you use a handle.
Sure, why not.

I GOT ENGAGED!!! | STORY TIME ❤ - Duration: 19:14.
hi guys so today I'm back with another video this was supposed to be something
else entirely different but if you clicked on the video and you read the
title then you know that I have some exciting news in it I got engaged
recently and I'm like super super happy and I wanted to share with you guys the
story of how he proposed and like the backstory and all that stuff so yeah if
you're interested in that then I hope you continue to watch but if you're new
here then please pause the video and subscribe and I would appreciate you so
so much I will be trying my absolute best as' to post at least once a week or
once every other week and yeah like my plan is to gonna be to try to record one
video a week and then edit that video the thing we can put it up because
that's how I function best my pre-record videos I usually like like they just sit
forever so like I need to like record and edit kind of like the same day cuz
that's how it works best like yeah but anyways back into the video oh and if
you hear a little tippy taps it's my dog door what she does best you know making
noise and yeah that's that's it for like my little intro video and I'm gonna get
into the story of how I got engaged and yeah so this story I guess I'll just
start by saying me and my boyfriend now fiance he's been talking about like
getting married for like a while so and I had been actually like talking about
him proposing for a while it's like I knew it was happening but I didn't know
when it was happening and like he had been teasing me I think like two months
about having a ring and not having a ring and like he's just really confused me so
like a part of me knew he had a ring because like he literally sent me a
picture of the jewelry box but it seems like nose earrings and they know a
bracelet in there and I was like you're annoying so then he told me like no I
don't have a ring yes I have a ring but oh him I thought it literally
did you have thoroughly confused me like I really don't know you have a ring or
not and yeah like I'd like said I knew a part of you knew he had a ring then I
was like I didn't know cuz he had told me so many times that he did and then he
didn't so anyways on I got engaged on November
26 so on the 16th which was the Thursday before I had a doctor's appointment for
the lady doctor because you know you have to do that every year get
everything checked out also wanted to ask about the birth control because I
have a horrible horrible horrible hormonal acne that just like decided to
go crazy this year and it would be like I would constantly breaking out with and
it's those pimples you know the pimples that are under your skin and they hurt
and then they were all leaving doc March what I thought was weird because I'm
like they're under the skin feels like they shouldn't be leaving these marks
but they were my skin was just going crazy I had dark marks everywhere
pimples everywhere mostly unlike my poori in my jawline and I was just like
so over it like I felt so like attractive and by the way the birth
control like is really healthy which is like a totally another story but like it
kind of like fits into this whole thing so that same day my cousin destiny was
just asking me like hey what's going on how you been
blah blah blah and then I was just telling her about the doctor's
appointment and I got birth control and all that jazz and then she was just
telling me how she wasn't doing these like travel plans that she thought she
was gonna do so she said she wanted to be a booty again and like go to all
these nice restaurants and be cute and she went on to rush because she didn't
want to be going out so they all these nice keep places by herself so what she
was like okay next Sunday we need to make foodie plans and I was like sure
and then she sent me I said sure I'm down just let me know and she sent me
this list of like the top 50 restaurants in Baltimore and she was like I want to
try some of these places and then she sent me a restaurant that we were going
to go to you the next Sunday and I don't even think the restaurant that we
she was all nervous but I didn't I'd like wasn't thinking hard about it I
just looked up the restaurant to see what they had and I was like oh they
look good whatever so anyways she was just saying like we
gonna go out we gonna be extra cute on the beat my face to the gods like you
need to be cute and I was just like okay and that was just gonna like find an
outfit in my closet or wherever and just thought oh and it'd be cute and like try
to you know make my hair look cute and all that stuff and yeah so that was that
I was in my room and my sister was in her room my sisters and all all these
planes in the first place but anyway I screenshot it the text message was like
oh Danine which is my cousin what's to do
40 plain is next Sunday so yeah it she was like oh yeah I'm down sounds good to
me out texting so anyways couple days went by my cousin was texting me like
showing me all the stuff she wanted to get order like cuz she wanted no she
wants he knew the outfits were going out and like none of this was out of the
ordinary for me because like sometimes when we go out we like to go to a place
with like my cousin's in like they'll all be cute and like made up and like
wear heels and dresses and all that stuff so none of this was I wasn't
ordinary so she was sending me Justin's and stuff and asked me like oh what are
you wearing blah blah blah so the next I think
Tuesday went to the ball got my nails done because my nails were like they
were old he liked growing outs actually I wouldn't got these nails done I just
like this orange color and then I got a little nail glitter nail was because
literally I was talking to my boyfriend he's like when I propose I want you to
have facing nails and I was like so which one because some glitter nails and
I just got one glitter nail which was the ring finger but that's fancy enough
but me and I sent him the picture he was like how you only get the ring ring
finger done but anyways I think I my nails done well over to our 21 and I
found this cute little sweater dress and I have pictures inserted so like you'll
see the dress and all that stuff but it was really cute dress it was like pink
and red and white stripes and like black it was like big black struts for the
black party like glittery confetti ish looking like shimmer on it I don't know
it's super cute it's a nice dress nice like thick sweater
I sleep over 21 I think like $29 but that is beside the point it was super
super cute and so I have a nail done and a headdress and I was like I would be
cute this weekend or whatever and anyways so
like that weekend came and that whole week I had been feeling kind of crappy
because I started the perfect roll and it was making me nauseous and movie and
I just and I had like headaches it was making me feel terrible which my doctor
told me like Oh take like up to three months for me to get used to it I'm used
to it now but like that first week was like super rough so that's day that I
came and I was hanging out with my boyfriend know Beyonce and I was just
feeling terrible like I was getting cold sweats like I was literally I was
freezing cold but I was sweating and I just like felt really really bad and
then I think I'm I kind of went to sleep when I was hanging out with them and
then I went home and I was some ice it's like I don't even want to go out
tomorrow I feel terrible like I don't like we need to reschedule explain it's
like I don't want to go out fortunately the next day I woke up and I
felt a lot better thinking back I think that was just the beginning of me
getting stuck though because like after three days after the Sunday that he
proposed I got strep throat and I was just like maybe that's why I was feeling
so terrible about that also another story so like I said Sunday
I woke up and I felt a lot better in that Sunday I was like I'm not even 18
I'm not even see him because he told me he had to work from like 12:00 in the
afternoon to 8:00 at night which also isn't anything out of the normal cuz
sometimes he gets weird schedules and shifts at night shits and stuff so I was
like whatever in my Kimberly didn't touch me that day
which is also know because when he's at work he doesn't text me that much
because he does like a lot of manually were like he doesn't have a lot of time
text me only thing he texted me that day was oh like it sucks working like this
with my back because he hurt his back earlier that week working out so yeah
that's the only thing you sent me and then I stood to have a picture on
snapchat because I was feeling extra extra cute out and took the picture cuz
it was like super cute picture and then he looked at
it and didn't respond but you know when he's at working us and him snapchats and
like pictures or whatever he'll always respond like or screenshot it weren't
like just send something back but he just looked at it he being screenshot it
was like he didn't respond like that was the only thing no I don't normal for him
for that day but anyways so I got home from doing what I had to do on Sunday
morning and then I got ready no brain to the store I got some shape I did because
my hair wasn't eating it man I came home like got ready my sister
beat the face for me I did my hair I felt cute we left off the house probably
around like five about over at my cousin's house with my other two cousins
and then we all got in the car together and brought to this restaurant we got to
the place it was like a cute little area like all the trees had like lights and
stuff on it was like a really cute area so we were walking up to the restaurant
and there was these two people in front of us and they were like holding the
door cuz they like we were gonna go to that restaurant but then we were walk
everybody was walking past the door because like I was kind of in bed cuz I
was kind of walking towards the door because of like why's everybody walking
pass it around my sister was like Oh No thank you to the people we're walking
this way and then James like oh we going this way
and I was like why are we going over here like why we go this way and then I
hate I was like oh like maybe they want to take pictures so I just was like okay
so we turned the corner in under this like I'm gonna call it a gazebo type
thing I see him standing there and I only knew it was him because he had on
he had this white dwarf big jacket that he just bought which is a super cute
jacket and I was like okay like this is happening today and like I
remember saying to myself what would you guys do this to me and nobody could hear
me because like they hit like all I kind of separated and went over this way
while I was walking up towards him and then he had like the cutest little setup
he had T likes and they were like in the word I said he set him up and if they
marry me and T lights in their little question mark and that was super cute
and then he had these fake rose petals and he puts them in the shape of a heart
and he was up there waiting and standing and so my parents were there but I
didn't realize that until the last minute and I'll explain that later so I
went up to him and then like I grabbed his hands and he was just like did you
expect this today I said no he's supposed to be at work and then he just
like kind of laughed and said something else and I think we said a few other
things and he was like well we should get down to business he got down on one
knee and he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes because I love him so
much and I told him like up there I I probably say I love you to him find like
10 times in like one minute because I don't know I was just so happy and he
thought he said he thought I was going to cry part of me thought I went to you
and then my parents told me they thought I would cry to you but I didn't I was
just super happy I've even like the longest hug and all the kisses in the
world but um yeah it was just a really good day a day I'll never forget and
like I said I didn't realize my parents were there until at the very end and I'm
gonna insert in the video you'll at the Inc you hear like the first person you
need to say congratulations they it's my mom and that's when I realized they were
there like I turned around I saw my mother's like snapping pictures on her
phone but yeah I was super happy after that we actually did goes to the
restaurant and it was super nice everybody that was there
it's like special to me I don't know I I loved it I thought it was really nice
like I said we had talking about getting married and stuff
for a long time so I knew what's coming I said no Ben also keep in mind that my
video footage isn't professional like I didn't bring this camera or anything is
just like footage from my cousin's taking videos on their phone and like he
didn't think to like get some mighty the record it's like he's not into YouTube
or anything like that really but I don't mind it's on the phone like it's
personal memories I get to keep forever and I have all the pictures and also
like said we would have to eat in my parents got the cutest engagement cake
ever and I'm gonna picture the vicked in the
video as well but I don't know guys I'm just super super happy
this video was literally supposed to be something else within this happen and I
was like I like a video on this and all the other videos are coming and this is
actually like a little leak like I said I got engaged on November 26 but I
didn't hit my ring because I had to get resized because it was a little bit too
big because I have little tiny baby fingers and yes but anyway if you guys
wanted me to do videos with my dear fiance then let me know in the comments
below he literally always add some what we're
gonna do videos together we just never do it but like I can do we can do
boyfriend-girlfriend eggs and like if you guys have any other suggestions that
she wants to see us to do then like q and A's or something and like let me
know down in the comments and I could try to do that and the next video will
probably be like an outfits video someone has been asking me to do a
thigh-high outfit video forever so I'm gonna try to do that for you guys
oh you guys enjoyed this video like I said I'm really trying to get back on
track like it's been in need a little bit
crazy lately but I still want to do this like if I could do this for like my job
I would so happily do it if you guys like my channel like I said please
subscribe leave me some comments share with your friends your family your
brother your mother your cousin gets this to your father your uncle everybody
I appreciate it so so much has been growing slowly which is you
know partly my fault because I don't post the way I should but I'm working on
it I love you guys and I hope you enjoyed this video and this story and
I'm I'll be happy to share more with you in the future
like you know I haven't really started planning a whole whole lot but like I
know some things I want to do but like a wedding and all that maybe like when we
do engagement pictures I bring you guys along I don't know like let me know what
you guys want to see it's pretty much what I'm trying to say cuz like maybe
during this whole like planning of a wedding process I can like do vlogs and
stuff if you want to see that so let me know and also I know there's a vlog miss
thing going on so maybe I'll do a couple like little random vlogs but like I
don't do that much so I feel like it will be boring probably just like
ranting to the camera like I am now but if you guys want to see that then I will
definitely do it for you guys I'm gonna stop talking I love you so much and I
hope you enjoyed this video

Becoming a Kingsman for a day! - Duration: 27:57.
hey guys remember the awesome Kingsman number I built or the chain fist
well Fox the production company behind the movie liked it so much that in
celebration of Kingsman the Golden Circle blu-ray release they're actually
sending me to London to become a Kingsman for a day anyway I think my
rides here so I'll tell you a bit more about the trip in just a sec
Plus on this trip Ian gets to tag along
yeah you wanna grab the cuz the bags
that's I'm pretty excited for this trip we got a bit of an itinerary here that
we got from Fox that's the hotel we're staying we're staying in the NED which
apparently is a super fancy hotel it has nine restaurants there's a rooftop
infinity pool with two bars and in the basement of the hotel there's an old
bank vault which has been converted into a 24/7 cocktail bar and apparently it's
got like a two-foot thick steel door it's like 20 feet wide to do the
entrance and then obviously there's gyms and pools and all kinds of other stuff
like that but anyways what we're gonna be doing for Kingsman is we actually get
to visit the Kingsmen tailor shop and see a bunch of the props from movie
which sounds amazing we get to see some of the Kingsmen weaponry and there's
even gonna be a statesman whiskey tasting the first baguette there
the blue one I'm sure what British Airways looks like
so we're sitting here in the lounge with the gate right now and unfortunately
there's these awesome little iPads but it seems like Ian's broken everything
yeah stop pushing buttons like they're all black
yes look at all the other tables what the hell again so the funny thing is
like the King's been is a private secret service and they'll wear finely tailored
suits in order to what like blend in but no one wears suits anymore it's like
like look at me I'm sticking out like a sore thumb and this Airport like
very sophisticated
for that additional life
Oh
so we went the right way oh you sure we have our own stairwell my name is
Jacqueline if you need help we need up you want to find that about the
restaurants you want to help with the reservations we've got eight restaurants
and bars ground just in the ground floor one the rooftop and netplan which is on
the -1 and it's really cool because they all say you know this yeah yeah and the
shake deposit is still there it's really really cool it's just for members and
hotel guests great so I suggest you to go there is the - to the spa the
swimming pool which is very very nice for an underground female police okay
enjoy your stay guys thank you I didn't remember my tie but I did you can get
the Kingsmen tag it's only 120 pounds that works out to over two hundred US
dollars that's good because I forgot my tie and I need one yeah well there goes
our per diem
oh I'm touching it people use this
all right so we're in the cab on our way to the Kingsmen tailor shop and the new
home of the Kingsmen HQ which is very bros some very bros is a fine wine and
spirit merchant that's been open since 1698 and it's the new home of Kingsman
HQ remember in the movie when they found the states from the whiskey bottle well
that's it so apparently us coming here was actually approved by Matthew Vaughn
the director of Kingston which he asked them
anything you want to interact with him and I want to talk to about anything
anything works for you guys individually just jump right in there and say
whatever you talk about whatever hi everyone I'm Nate from The Statesman and
we're gonna taste the Statesmen whiskey so you've all seen the movie the
Kingsmen two Golden Circle yeah fantastic so there'll be no spoilers
that's good and so I can talk about movie freedom on the nose okay we saw
well we start off by looking at the color so we analyze the color with the
whiskey so we say how would you describe that burnished copper you know let's get
let's get kind of theatrical about it burnished copper amber it really deep
deep and rich isn't it can you smell that maybe a fruitcake on there as well
and that's coming from our rye so our whiskey has 18% rye which means it has a
high ride content and that's where all that spice comes from the main
ingredients this is corn butter I gives asserts that that big spice character
and you reinforce that that vanilla but almost it's kind of like a vanilla ice
cream you like a hot vanilla ice cream I guess better but then with a little
touch of almond in there as well so in the movie when you see the when they pan
over the distillery and they see you see the bottle shape that was inspired by
the fact that we actually have that bowl like the bottle shape on top registering
which is really cool no more questions no more question I have another
statement okay Garrett um I consider myself a well-dressed man okay today is
no different I think I'm out shining all of you right fantastic yeah yeah
absolutely cheers to that man Cheers
okay
we don't get you in shot in the back today we're looking at some of the props
from Kings burns with Grant hi James yes me I was a supervising art director on
Kings when Golden Circle and these are just some of the props that we had built
or had custom-made for the filming this was one this is mainly some of the
Statesmen actual props and this was one of the baseball bats it turns into a
minesweeper that we first see in the Statesmen jet when they open up the the
pool table and this was an agent whiskey's fighter jet helmet which was
Top Gun inspired Matthews so he wanted to do something based on the tongue Tom
Cruise's helmet and of course everything say some wise is Americana Hensley so
yeah and then this is Angus whom to give us a bit more advice this is um this is
a Merlin's retro iPad come clipboard yep as usual we have multiple versions what
you probably didn't see in the film is because Merlin likes his big guns and
big knives it did originally have a knife built into it that's awesome which
unfortunately every point made it into the film so but that's you know it's
character details yeah definitely important character detail Armageddon
bigger badder last year yeah with catapulting hand yeah so let me
stop you there yeah so our own channel called the hack Smith right and what we
do is we run a series called make it real right and we try and take fictional
ideas from movies comics video games and make real working prototype so I've
actually built have a version of this doesn't look nearly as fancy notes to
see what we focused on the ability to actually shoot the fist so I've made a
metal version of this hand I can actually shoot about 50 feet Maxim
pretty good Wow attached to Rosie's on YouTube yes yes
okay so this is actually the second project we did for Kingsman the first
one was actually the umbrella and I know are those the actual umbrellas
unfortunately I just
so we also built a umbrella complete with a pico projector built into the
hill to know that projects the camera feed from the typical umbrella onto the
inside very cool and it also shoots using a little co2 me out
of a job hey yo try it's pretty heavy this is just obviously shield stitch I
think your arm goes in through that sweater
yeah so that allows you if you're right-handed I guess to fire pistol over
the side here we obviously comte a video screen in
here but shooting this is what Taryn had pretty heavy we might have to make one
of these yeah but props is that real girls I'm strong
we're in the basement now at the armory 4th Kingsman with Nick and he's gonna
tell us a bit about some of the weapons used in the movie
so this is a Kingsman pistol hey it's one of six that were made we made them
for the first Kingsman film there's only six of them it's a really machining of
an existing pistol but to made to look in a british style of night 1930s to
1950s something like that with the addition of a grenade launcher and
little things like custom English walnut grips check it like a very good mother
shotgun so this is one of Pedro's revolvers okay this is typically
Statesmen so the states would look he's stainless steel yeah
traditional American design so this is a copy of accomplishing election army okay
so she made by Ruger it's in stainless steel and it has a quirkiness that we
fits a niche to mount on it so it has a modern strange kick to it which is what
we're looking for in a lot of the King statesman weapons yeah this is challenge
rifle yep this is a Marlin 45 caliber rifle okay again it's typically
statesman is stainless steel it's a copy of a style of gun used in the 1880s
1870s a very American but with a modern kick on it are you that sight Ryan and
everything else so it's a modernized traditional American weapon this is a
fighting gun we would make copies again so we make quite a few copies
that's a hard rubber and that's a soft brown so we protect the garden with the
person everything that needs a copy just sort of scene you can carry on as you
can see these have been used on set and they're a little bit damaged so they
don't last forever okay yeah so this is an 84 rocket launcher yeah I don't II
tank rocket launcher military and the briefcase takes it out I believe
so yeah that's the trigger it has unfortunately already been fired
see it's just a hollow tube yeah awesome fire like this yes they have what these
actions they have what's known as an idiot car you don't know so you could
take it out the box read on it and it went already
yeah I think you need to know you to Lara tank up awesome thank you well
thank you you're welcome it's a pleasure
a king's ale I think these are like legitimately old bottles and have not
been touched watch they're worth locked
so that leaves the cab and the Kingsmen tailor shop next fix
that's pretty cool this is early in the movie yeah we're real early inside here
because he got thrown against that it's that track at the window
yeah the door on the roof yeah I've always wanted to have multiple blocks
for the time zones it's really pointless but books are pretty cheap now
yeah how do you turn on submarine mode
large CGI budget on the next stop let's go where to guvnah all right so I'm here
in the Kingsmen tailor shop and it's actually a pop-up shop here in London
selling the exclusive line of Kingsman apparel and this is awesome
fancy
Kingsman glasses how do I look it's got biometric security that's
really cool so this is the official tag watch made after the movie of course
we've got mr. pickles from the movie
let's be soft sorry mr. pickle not pickles the tailor section where you can
try on all the different flows I'm allowed to touch stuff right
that's try being a statesman on for size
hasil movie
pivot think my suit stick yes I can't move
it's like there's a crowd for the blu-ray signing
as a Kingsman early
I like a table or something
sadly this here
so apparently a light and a taxi cabs on that means it's available and there are
not many available
while is it great
Christel house is supposed to be for your face right
it looks warm but it's not chilly warm
all right so we decided to stay a few extra days in London so we do a fan
meetup but obviously we had to rent another hotel and our budget was a bit
less so we're staying at the Holiday Inn you see this door
the main bathroom door you can go inside here's the shower and sink
oh all right oh so then you close the door
and there is the toilet romantic
right under the other we're having to tell gateways to change to go along with
this district or circle like whichever one comes to go back to near Waterloo
London I had London dungeon with something
it appears he is broke his ticket and he can't get through the turnstiles
guess we're leaving him behind
we will value 1,500 pounds for a guitar with six necks that's like getting six
guitars for the price of one moderately expensive return let's go value
so we had an awesome tour of London by James he runs the YouTube channel good
to meet you again X robots I guess you just check it out link in the
description and card blah blah blah we gotta go what it was great to meet
you again again
I saw most of the site's last time like all the main touristic places and
yesterday we met up with James Burton from X robots the I did the dungeon
that's bringing SWAT your hand up to be
I'm gonna fan not stuck in the ground pretty good hey what's your name Jack
nice to meet you you guys want batarangs
it's Bogdan no kiss it well I hope you guys enjoyed that video I know it was a
bit longer than most for normal videos but would you believe that's actually
the edited down version we have a full extended cut on our vlog channel that's
over an hour long so if you guys really like Kingsman check it out anyways thank
you to Fox to sending us to London it was an amazing experience it was a
really cool game to see all the Kingsmen props up close and personal and it gave
us a lot of inspiration about some other projects that we should do here right
here in Canada and don't forget to get Kingsman the Golden Circle on blu-ray or
digital download today there are links in the description below so thanks for
watching and enjoy the movie

Terminally Ill Toddler Visited By Santa Claus For One Last Christmas - Duration: 1:54.
2 year old miles agnew has more than his fair share of illnesses to deal with.
He was born with microcephaly, spastic quad cerebral palsy, cortical vision impairment,
epilepsy, brain malformations and he has trouble eating.
But when his condition started to take a turn for the worse, his parents made sure he got
to sit on santas lap one last time.
I'm going to tell you his story, here for you on IO.
Welcome to inform overload, your youtube source for trending news.
I'm charlotte dobre.
Every so often, we come across a story that is unbelievably heartwarming, but at the same
time, is very difficult to talk about.
Like this one, about Miles Agnew.
Miles is from salt lake city Utah.
He was adopted by the Agnews when he was only 3 months old.
He has 2 older siblings, hailey who is 13 and taveon who is 11.
Miles loves santa claus.
He has trouble seeing, but when santa is around, he lights up.
He loves the lights and crinkling wrapping paper.
But this year, he was receiving treatment at the hospital, and his health was rapidly
declining.
So his family decided to get him an early Christmas gift.
On December 5th, a Santa from the Secret sleigh project rushed to the hospital in salt lake
city, so Miles could sit on his lap once more.
The secret sleigh project is a charity that provides poor and terminally ill children
the opportunity to meet santa.
The santa clauses are volunteers, who believe every child deserves to experience Christmas
magic.
But the santa called to Miles' side, Jerry Bodily, said that this particular visit was
more difficult than the malls he usually works at as santa Claus.
His former wife also had a child who was terminally ill, so it was hard for him to witness someone
so sick.
Jerry said he cried as miles sat on his lap, barely able to open his eyes.
Here is a photo of them together.
Jerry stayed with the family for about an hour, for what is to likely be their last
Christmas together.
On behalf of IO, our hearts go out to the Agnews during this difficult time.
Its particularly hard to spend the holidays in the hospital.
But when it comes down to it, the important thing is to spend Christmas with the ones
you love.

EVERY FINAL STROKE - a medical poem - Duration: 6:18.
what's up everyone welcome back to another episode of what's up doc I'm
your host Peter so great to see all your lovely faces except you know what you
can only see me the one white thing about my school we finished half the
rotations and this week is like an auskey week so we take an exam we do
some you know clinical skills stuff well I bet a reflection session this week and
we talked about physician burnout and how to avoid that and as we're going
through the session I realize burnout was actually pretty real for a lot of
people and you know it's very difficult to avoid and I wrote a poem in my first
year that's actually pretty relevant I just want to share it as like a fun
little spice up to this whole weekly vlog kind of thing and stick around for
the end or maybe it's gonna be another video about me explaining the story
behind this poem if you like the poem by the end please make sure to like it
subscribe it share you know that whole thing it's titled every final stroke
let's go it tore me into not knowing which to choose I want it to stand out
but the risk what I'd lose I cannot chose my MCATs application in my
personal inclination to share the story of my statement via stanzas and rhymes
and then payment submit but bait turned against me as I predicted it would
doctors warned me of what admissions committees could do to my whole future
if they miss riddled my rhythmic tongue as an indication of frailty or that I'm
too young to be a doctor so I did what was expected the same old spiel five
paragraphs one essay no need for a new wheel twisting but my conscience was
stirred my mind in full gear what was wrong with art what was it they fear
humanity would it be a silly question or rather confession to say that my
impression of our profession is that we even obsession with healing humanity yet
being told poetry could harm me in actuality is inhumane is it a disability
to be human amongst physicians why would I be looked down upon for going against
traditions did I sign up to surrender to what society says I should and it was
then that I learned there are secrets to dr. hood
the hidden curriculum they're not so much secrets as they are parasitical
Pugh senses ideas that breed machines turning healers into nuisances they
begin do their damage target ones mentality and soon their effects are in
the realm of physicality Moo's with the dollar my subject is the humanity in
medicine or rather how absent it has been too long has it rained true that
doctors are barred from the civilities of me and you by stigma we expect our
patients to be human but not our doctors no one would snitch but we're nurturing
closeted monsters you learn it as you go along only the smartest climb up the
ladder so do more research cancel volunteering because those hours don't
matter we deigned we're choking our warriors
before the battle is booming yes you are a doctor but before that you're human
the one is intrinsic the other a career the choice is yours steer clear of the
veneer and forsake like we need to qualify this truth too many lose touch
with earth because their minds are locked on the next surgery the next
birth the next godlike expectation which they do fulfill and so claim their title
as a divine Idol with their own Bible and group of disciples because they
restored someone's vitals in exchange for doctors are heartless who say I
promise from the deepest place in my heart
we do not start out this way this artificial system rewards science and
not art so we do what is necessary to set ourselves apart a heartless shell
I'm calling you out you demons of health drinking healers to forsake leisure in
exchange for a well you've got a firm grip on the entire field I know but in
the name of all that is holy we will work to let you go wishing for a redo
button dear audience I cry on behalf of the silent and pray I do not offend like
the childish argument you can have more than one best friend it's not adultery
to have passions besides medicine we all do no matter how secret all we have left
though is the money you pay us for the sacrifices you demand we frequent before
we sold ourselves we peel the skin of our humanity with the scalpels we use to
save you volleyball goodbye performing arts adios poetry adieu numbers have
come to define us more than our humanity so this summer get published if you want
a better residency to help
when I grow up I don't want to be a one-trick pony
let us prescribe that notion to antiquity respect and allow us to
indulge our interests as the rest of the world does don't force me to turn to
alcohol pride or worse just to feel a buzz dreaming of health care in
healthcare I return to my plans for summer break now opportunities are
endless so I might learn to bake a cake or how to animate or perhaps I'll learn
to rhyme better real issen to each last line for the hidden message in this
letter whatever I do is an equally precious inspiration and that my friends
is where medicine means it's medication
