Do you know that in town there is a statue dedicated to a painter that doesn't exist?
Andrea Salaino, Leonardo's non-existent pupil
The monument dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci located in Piazza della Scala
was realized in 1872 by the sculptor Pietro Magni.
Leonardo's figure dominates, on top, surrounded by his four most famous students.
The "Scapigliatura" writer Giuseppe Rovani defined this monument "On liter in quater", a liter for four,
because in his opinion Leonardo looked like a bottle of wine
and the four pupils around him looked like the glasses that four imaginary customers were ready to drink from.
The monument is so complicated that it took 13 years to finish it.
Despite the long construction times, it contains an incredible mistake.
Indeed, if we look at the statues surrounding Leonardo,
we find the names of his most important pupils:
Marco d'Oggiono, Cesare da Sesto and Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio.
The forth statue, on the other hand, is dedicated to someone called Andrea Salaino,
a painter that doesn't exist.
That statue was supposed to be dedicated to Leonardo's favorite student, Gian Giacomo Caprotti,
known under the name of "Salaì".
The confusion between the names dates back to the clamorous mistake
made by an art historian, Paolo Morigia, at the end of the VI century.
He confused Salaì with Andrea Salerno,
who was instead Cesare da Sesto's student,
and filled the books of art history with this non-existent name.
n Milan there is even a street dedicated to this invented painter: a side street by Via Solari.

HOWEVER!!! The McDonald's that is closest to my house
All sold out of white triangle chocolate pies
And so I just bought these dark ones instead
you know ya' gotta be quick and jump on things right away before they sell out
And all these Deluxe BBQ selections Are the second iteration of the American Deluxe series
itadakimasu And this is the beef filled American Deluxe
It looks so yummy the cheddar cheese is all melted
And this time around they are filled with Both egg and bacon
~what is so murrican' bout these?~
I didn't give it a second thought when I had their cheese burgers before
~WAT do~ what part about these is so Murrican?
They'll probably taste good regardless
Got a unique tasting sauce With a very spicy peppery chili taste to it
It's packed full of lettuce and goes great with the sauce
But it seems like it'll be a messy Burger ~ let's wrap it in paper before I make a mess~
This barbecue sauce tastes great in this
The egg white is so nice and plump and delicious
The bacon is also very tasty And there is an extra bun in the middle making it so nice and filling
In place of fries I have is corn soup instead
Lately I've been All about these corn soups
Corn soups are yummy no matter what store you get them at
Next step is the American Deluxe chicken
~its uh.... all coming apart~
They packed so much in here that it's Overflowing
The chicken is so nice and crispy
Apparently it's a mix of barbecue sauce and chipotle in here
Are these called American Deluxe Because it's chipotle sauce is popular in America?
Is the chipotle sauce giving this the spicy flavor?
You can taste the chilis used in this sauce But it's got as very sweet and savory flavor profile

Bun lettuce patty bun bacon egg and bun 7 layers.... wowzers
The barbecue sauce is so yummy They slaughtered a lot on here
Lastly, American Deluxe BBQ chicken
While I'm grateful that they packed a lot of ingredients into this It's so darn tough trying to get this out of the box
The chicken is so crispy
Next up are the triangle chocolate pies
Great sadness has befallen me Due to the lack of white chocolate pies
This is what they look like Once you start eating these they fall apart and make a mess
Let's lay some paper down first
The pie is so yummy
But I ate this much of the pie And have yet to taste any of the chocolate
Is it all on the bottom part?
These are so yummy when you eat them with ice cream
Eating warm sweet with a cold sweet Is pure Bliss
The chocolate sauce has oozed out It's so warm and yummy
The chocolate sauce has a mild sweetness to it its also Filled with nuts
The pie is so flaky and crispy
most def going to be yummy when dipped in here
ya gotta be careful about these sorts of things when eating pies and choux

Sadly I was unable to try out the white chocolate pies ~ugh.. I totes love white choco though~

Our project is about politically motivated shopping behaviour,
which we also call political consumption.
The difficulty so far is that
political consumption is relatively superficially recorded.
People are asked whether they buy specially labelled products,
such as fair trade or organic products,
but we still don't know why they buy them.
For example, you may buy organic bananas
because you think they're healthier.
Or you buy regional fruit because you think it tastes better.
But that would not be politically motivated.
It would be politically motivated if I said,
'I want to protect the environment.'
or 'I want to protect workers on the banana plantations
from pesticides.'
This is especially relevant against the background
of ongoing debates about low political participation.
Youngsters and young adults are said to be
only somewhat involved in politics.
However, if there was a valid way to measure alternative forms
of political participation, such as political consumption,
it would provide a more complete picture of
political participation in Switzerland.
We are developing a questionnaire
asking people about the products they buy.
We ask those who buy fair trade or organic products
about their motivation.
Switzerland is an ideal place for this kind of study.

soon for them to make a move, right?

I figured hey, that's already pretty lucky, right?
It wouldn't take much to just push that luck a little bit further.
So they've been texting with this guy for like an hour now, and every time their phone
goes off they get this stupid blushy grin on their face.
Apparently this guy just happened to make a move first, so now they don't have to worry
about the whole 'is it too soon after his breakup' thing.
So, ya know.

KANE: I love that your idea of "let's use our powers for good" translates into getting

Helping people is kind of the first step in doing any good.
So I guess I owe you an apology, because as much as it's fun to tease you about matchmaking,
it's not like that didn't actually help someone.
You said Pat's been smiling about it... making someone genuinely smile is a surprisingly
difficult thing to do these days, especially when they're going through a rough time like Pat is.
It's not really as small of a thing as I've teased you about it being.
So... sorry about that.
I guess...
I don't know.
I want the world to be better.
Everything feels kind of fucked up all the time right now, especially for minorities.
I want people to be safe and happy.
I don't want people to be afraid or unstable or lost, you know?
I want to protect them, or help them heal, or ease their distress.

I don't know if I can actually do that, but... that's what I want.
I want to ease a little bit of the pain and dysfunction in the world.
That's... that's a lot of what I think about when we talk about the potential for the bar, really.
Being able to have a space that can help that along.
Somewhere to start.
Is that... is it all too idealistic?
Is it even something I should be able to do, even if I can theoretically do it?
I mean...
every story I've ever heard about people meddling with magical shit
hasn't exactly had a happy ending.
Is it ethical to fuck around with this stuff, just to try and bring the world a little closer
to what I think it should be?
Because that sounds... like it could lead somewhere bad, you know?
I don't know.
Maybe this is all a terrible idea.
Maybe I shouldn't even be thinking about it.

see if you can relax a little.

Second... the world is a terrible enough place as it is.
If we fuck things up a bit while trying to help... would it really be that much worse

Isn't it a good thing to do mundane, non magical things to try and make the world better?
To try and ease people's suffering?
And if it's a good thing to try to do good things non magically - which it is, obviously

We can do them together, too - we don't have to go through this alone.
We can look after each other and watch over each other while we try to make a difference.

I have a client that has a nanny, and every time we go and do the cleaning,
there is toys all over the place.
In the front room, in the living room, the kitchen, the dining room, I mean, toys all
over the place.
Balls, cars, trains, you name it.
I tell me client if there's any way possible, that the toys could be put away so we could
start the cleaning, but I don't know how to tell her without her getting upset, and plus,
it takes a lot of our time, and I don't charge per hour, I charge per cleaning.
Is your ... easy way that I could be able to ask her, maybe to tell her nanny to make
sure that the toys are put away so that we could do the cleaning?

Angela Brown: All right, now that is a trick question, because we have allotted a particular
amount of time based on a person's house when we went to bid the initial contract, right?
Now, when you get to a customer's house, and it's really important to do this up front,
when you get to a customer's house and you're walking through the house with the customer,
you have to ask the customer this question, "Did you just pick up your house before I
got here, or is your house always in this condition?
If I give you a price based on this condition of the house, when I arrive every time to
clean, I expect the house to be in this condition.
If I show up and there's spaghetti all over the kitchen, or if there are toys all over
the house, or there's laundry and stuff strewn about, and there's clutter everywhere, it's
going to take a lot more time than I'm bidding for right now.
In the event that I get here and the house is just trashed for whatever reason, and sometimes
it happens, I either need to charge you more money, or I need to just pick up the clutter
and let that be the cleaning of the day.
So which is it?"
And let the customer decide, because the customer sometimes will say, "I would rather you pick
up the clutter, because sometimes my house is just cluttered, and I don't have time to
pick it up."
There are other customers that say, "I don't want to pay extra money to have you come at
your price and pick up my clutter."
All right, then from day one, let's agree that when I arrive, your house will be in
this condition, because if you're showing up now, and the house keeps getting messier
and messier, either the nanny needs to pick up the toys, or the home owner needs to pick
up the toys, or the child whose toys they belong to need to pick up the toys.
I don't really care who it is, but unless they have specifically contracted you to pick
up the clutter, then that needs to be a conversation that you have with the home owner, because
no one is paying you right now to pick up the clutter, and you have another house to
clean when you're done here.
Even though you're not charging by the hour, you're still working by the hour, because
we only have so many hours in a day.
No matter what you're doing, you're in essence working by the hour, because you're spending
some of your time in order to do that job.
If you have two or three houses in a day, whether you admit it or not,
it's on a timed schedule.
When the time for that house is up, you can't keep staying and cleaning, because then you
lose profits from the next house you're supposed to go clean.
Does that make sense?
So you do need to have a conversation with the customer, and just say, "Hey, listen.
When I bid the job, your house was in this condition, and now that I've arrived, every
time there's more and more clutter.
It's taking time that I don't have.
I did not budget the clutter time into the job and the price that I gave you.
Would you like me to charge you more money and take time away from another customer so
that I can expand your window of time, or would you like to pick up the clutter before
I arrive?"
Now, a lot of people when you give them the choice, they don't want to pay the extra money,
because house cleaning is not cheap, and they can inexpensively pick up their own toys,
or teach their children to put things away after they're done.
I've seen very, very tiny children that are well-trained to put their toys away when they're
done playing.
It is a learned skill, and it's something a parent can learn and teach their children,
and their children can learn it without the parents having to pay the house cleaner that
extra money.
So it's just a conversation you need to have.
Don't worry about if they're going to be offended.
It's an offensive conversation.
"Your house is a mess, you hired me.
I'm here, I brought solutions.
I need to help you, you need to help me understand what those solutions are.
Between the two of us, we can probably come up with some really great solutions
for your house."
But the two of you need to decide that.

Hi this is vijaya & welcome to vijaya's recipes.
Today we'll make a very popular South Indian Dry Chutney Powder i.e "Nuvvula Podi"
Nuvvula is known as TiI (Sesame Seeds) in Telugu & Podi means Powder
We can use this Sesame Seeds Powder to make Sesame Rice
It taste really good with Curd Rice, Plain Rice, Idli & Dosa.
Its very easy to make, taste really good & get prepared very quickly
So let's make Nuvvula Podi or Sesame Seeds Powder
To make Nuvvula Podi /Til Chutney / Sesame Seeds Powder we've taken 2 Cups Sesame Seeds
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp Asafoetida, 10-12 Dry Whole Red Chillies
We can the simple Til Powder with only 4 ingredients
But today we'll use some other ingredients as well
2 tsp Split Bengal Gram
2 tsp Split Black Gram
1 tsp Cumin Seeds, 1 tsp Coriander Seeds & 8-10 Garlic Cloves
So let's make Nuvvula Podi or Sesame Seeds Powder
To make Nuvvula Podi or Sesame Seeds Powder, we'll just dry roast all the ingredients
Firstly we'll dry roast Split Bengal Gram
We've dry roast it for 2-3 mins, now we'll take this out in a bowl
In the same pan we'll put Split Bengal Gram & will dry roast it
We've dry roast it for 2-3 mins, now we'll take this out in a bowl
Now we'll dry roast Coriander Seeds
Adding Cumin Seeds
Adding Dry Whole Red Chillies
Adding Garlic Cloves
We've roasted the Dry Red Chillies & now we'll take them out in a bowl
Adding Til or Sesame Seeds in the pan
Adding Asafoetida & we'll dry roast them
We've fried the Sesame Seeds for 5 mins on the low flame
Turn off the flame & take them out in a separate bowl
Here we've dry roast all the ingredients, now we'll let them cool down and further will grind them
Adding Roasted Split Black Gram & Split Bengal Gram in the mixer jar
Now we'll do dry grinding
Here we've grind both the grams and now we'll take them out in a separate bowl
Adding roasted Red Chillies, Coriander Seeds, Cumin Seeds & Garlic Cloves in the mixer jar
Let's blend them
We've grind Red Chillies, taking them out in a bowl
Finally we'll grind roasted Sesame Seeds
Adding Salt
Let's blend them too
We'll just coarsely grind the Sesame Seeds for 2 mins only & then we'll mix it with the mixture
Mix all the ingredients well
Here we've our Nuvvula Podi/Til Powder/Sesame Powder is ready
By keeping it into an air tight container, we can use it for 1 month

What is your absolute
favorite Christmas song?
If you're like me,
my favorite Christmas song
is directly related to memories.
And so one of mine is a classic,
"Joy to the World."
And the reason why
this is my favorite hymn
or my favorite Christmas song
is because when we were kids,
we were part of this massive
church – 1,600 people.
They had two Christmas Eve services.
After the Christmas Eve service,
we got our treat bags.
And I say, "treat bags"
because whoever thought of
mixing like peanuts in the shell
with an apple
and a
popcorn ball
had never really been
a kid in their entire life.
But we still were excited.
So we'd sing with all our might
to go down the steps
to the basement,
"Joy to the World."
And when I think of this joy,
I think of the message
that the angels brought
to the shepherds.
This is what it says in Luke, chapter 2:
What's really strange
about my favorite song,
"Joy to the World,"
is when you listen to the words
if you're not familiar with it:
Joy to the world,
the Lord has come.
Let earth receive her king.
Let every heart prepare him room.
Let heaven and nature sing.
It doesn't really say anything
about shepherds
or jingling bells
or Bethlehem
or a manger.
It's really
about Jesus' second coming.
And it's about the joy
that we can have
when Jesus comes again
to take us home.
Now right around that same time,
I was in third grade.
We were taking a spelling test.
And
my teacher, Miss Chastey,
was a genius.
She could take a break
and the way that she did that
is she had students
record
the sentences.
And they would say,
Here's the word, monotonous,
for example, and then they
had to use it in a sentence.
But Miss Chastey
had Andrea do this:
"Your word of the day is joy.
J is for Jesus,
O is for others,
Y is for yourself."
Now, I don't anticipate that
anyone got it wrong.
I didn't say it was a hard spelling test.
But I think that's true.
As we get ready for this Christmas
to come home,
if you find your fulfillment
in the forgiveness and love
that Jesus has,
if you then let that love pour out
into other people,
I don't think you have to
worry about yourself
because you will have that great news.
You'll be living that great news
that will bring great joy
for all people.
Let's pray.
Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
we do have great noise
and we have great joy
of singing to you
and singing your praises
because we know
that you have come
and you have brought
a joy that can never be
brought with presents
and all these other things.
Instead, it's a joy
that comes only in the peace
of knowing that we are forgiven
and you're coming to take us home.

And so I just bought these dark ones instead
you know ya' gotta be quick and jump on things right away before they sell out
And all these Deluxe BBQ selections Are the second iteration of the American Deluxe series
itadakimasu And this is the beef filled American Deluxe
It looks so yummy the cheddar cheese is all melted
And this time around they are filled with Both egg and bacon
~what is so murrican' bout these?~
I didn't give it a second thought when I had their cheese burgers before
~WAT do~ what part about these is so Murrican?
They'll probably taste good regardless
Got a unique tasting sauce With a very spicy peppery chili taste to it
It's packed full of lettuce and goes great with the sauce
But it seems like it'll be a messy Burger ~ let's wrap it in paper before I make a mess~
This barbecue sauce tastes great in this
The egg white is so nice and plump and delicious
The bacon is also very tasty And there is an extra bun in the middle making it so nice and filling
In place of fries I have is corn soup instead
Lately I've been All about these corn soups
Corn soups are yummy no matter what store you get them at
Next step is the American Deluxe chicken
~its uh.... all coming apart~
They packed so much in here that it's Overflowing
The chicken is so nice and crispy
Apparently it's a mix of barbecue sauce and chipotle in here
Are these called American Deluxe Because it's chipotle sauce is popular in America?
Is the chipotle sauce giving this the spicy flavor?
You can taste the chilis used in this sauce But it's got as very sweet and savory flavor profile
Another Deluxe BBQ Beef
Bun lettuce patty bun bacon egg and bun 7 layers.... wowzers
The barbecue sauce is so yummy They slaughtered a lot on here
Lastly, American Deluxe BBQ chicken
While I'm grateful that they packed a lot of ingredients into this It's so darn tough trying to get this out of the box
The chicken is so crispy
Next up are the triangle chocolate pies
Great sadness has befallen me Due to the lack of white chocolate pies
This is what they look like Once you start eating these they fall apart and make a mess
Let's lay some paper down first
The pie is so yummy
But I ate this much of the pie And have yet to taste any of the chocolate
Is it all on the bottom part?
These are so yummy when you eat them with ice cream
Eating warm sweet with a cold sweet Is pure Bliss
The chocolate sauce has oozed out It's so warm and yummy
The chocolate sauce has a mild sweetness to it its also Filled with nuts
The pie is so flaky and crispy
most def going to be yummy when dipped in here
ya gotta be careful about these sorts of things when eating pies and choux

Was super delish They're both made so lavishly
But we're a bit.... difficult to eat Especially the chicken
But they really added a lot of sauce that was so yummy And it was filled with egg and bacon and cheese making it so yummy
The chocolate pies were yummy as well this year
Sadly I was unable to try out the white chocolate pies ~ugh.. I totes love white choco though~
