SKY WAY CAPITAL News Release 109 - Duration: 6:15.
Dear investors, partners and viewers of the SKY WAY CAPITAL news channel!
My name is...., and you will be watching number 109 release of the SKY WAY news, in which we tell you about all the events and achievements of SkyWay and SKY WAY CAPITAL.
What news was so memorable last week?
We will tell you about it right now.
Today in our release:
The representative delegation from Kazakhstan got acquainted with the string transport.
In the course of the meeting, there were held the negotiations personally with General Designer of the string transport Anatoliy Yunitskiy.
The workshops of the SkyWay pilot production facilities are continuously being supplied with the new equipment.
We will get to know the latest news "firsthand": directly from the SkyWay production workshops.
San Marino Secretary of State got interested in Skyway during his past visit.
In his interview, he said that SkyWay is the transport technology of the future and, if approved by the citizens, he intends to implement the project within three years.
The 10th stage of the SkyWay project development has been successfully completed, and there is little time left before the start of the new stage.
In anticipation of this event, let us recall the main achievements of the company for the past period.
Let's look at these events in more detail:
During the period of 12-14 March 2018, a delegation from Almaty, Kazakhstan, visited "String Technologies".
It included the representatives of the government bodies and private enterprises interested in cooperation.
In the course of the meeting, there were held the negotiations personally with General Designer of the string transport Anatoliy Yunitskiy; the guests visited the pilot production and the EcoTehnoPark in Maryina Gorka.
The focus was, of course, on the prospects of the string roads construction in the southern capital of Kazakhstan.
For Almaty, its nearby suburbs and settlements, as for all major cities, the logistics issue is one of the most painful one.
The possibility of implementing the SkyWay targeted project from the metro station "Kalkaman" to the city of Kaskelen was also being discussed during the visit.
The particular emphasis was placed on the public-private partnerships within the framework of the project implementation.
Several other promising areas for the application of the string transport in the region were also identified.
We will follow the news of the planned prospective cooperation.
The workshops of the SkyWay pilot production facilities are continuously being supplied with the most advanced equipment.
One of the last machines, put into operation,
was the HAAS lathe-turret, on which, after completion of all necessary starting-up and adjustment works, the company's specialists set up the production of the first batch of components for the SkyWay rolling stock.
In the very near future, this machine will be further equipped with tools for more flexible processing of parts of different classes and different configurations.
The installation and application of the new equipment will allow the company-developer to independently manufacture all necessary components without resorting to the services of contract organizations,
which in its turn, will significantly optimize the production process, shorten the time of the manufacture and cost of products, and also reduce energy and logistics costs.
Watch a video report from the heart of the SkyWay production workshops on our website.
On 14-15 March, CJSC "String Technologies" was visited by a representative delegation of political and business circles of San Marino and Italy, headed by the State Secretary of the Republic of San Marino,
Minister of the Territory, Environment and Tourism Augusto Michelotti.
The official guests held talks with General Designer of the company Anatoliy Yunitskiy. At the meeting, there has been defined the most functional route,
which will connect the populated areas with service areas (hospital, university, etc.) and with new territories.
The plans of connecting the Republic with the airport and the nearest Italian city of Rimini were also considered as more remote perspective.
The parties agreed to exchange visits of technical experts in the coming months, which was enshrined in the Protocol of Intent, signed by Mr. Michelotti and Anatoliy Yunitskiy during the meeting.
The distinguished guests also visited the production site and the SkyWay EcoTechnoPark, leaving enthusiastic feedback about what they saw in the Book of Honorable Visitors, which is in the Museum of the String Technologies.
For the politicians of this scale, in general, it is not characteristic to initiate such projects, and this fact shows
how much the State Secretary of the Republic of San Marino appreciates the SkyWay innovative transport.
This is a very important point in our development, as it can lead to a concrete start of the construction of the first SkyWay targeted project in Europe.
SKY WAY CAPITAL and the SkyWay Group of Companies announce about the successful completion of the 10th stage of the SkyWay project development and the start of its 11th stage soon.
The media specialists of the company have prepared a short digest of the key events and achievements for the past period.
It shows only a part of our common achievements and results for the past tenth stage.
You can easily find on our site in the news section a brief overview of the key news related to the SkyWay production, construction of the EcoTechnoPark;
the creation, acceptance tests and certification of the first industrial models of the SkyWay rolling stock; the certification of the quality management system according to the highest world standards;
the participation of the company specialists in the major international exhibitions and forums.
Please pay attention to the fact that the transition to the next, 11th stage, will be held on 11 April 2018 at 23:59 (MSK).
The discount will be changed in parallel with the transfer.
Before this date, you will still have time to profitably invest in the project by going to the section "Invest" in the personal office of SKY WAY CAPITAL.
That's all the news for today.
We will follow the development of the key events and will share them with you.

☆ Original Character Nail Art - Snow Fox ☆ - Duration: 6:12.
Hello it's Minnie!
Today I have my new original character and a snowflake design!
Just before the snowy season ends
There will also be a short animation at the end of this video, so I hope you enjoy!
I'm going to start with a peel of base coat and then apply a gel base coat and cure for 30 seconds
Next, I'm going to apply a blue cat eye gel polish from Madam Glam
I'm going to hold a magnetic stick close to the nail
and taddaa~!!
I'm going to cure it for 30 seconds
Would like the color to be stronger, so I'm going to repeat the same steps one more time
Apply a gel top coat, then cure
On my ring finger, I'm going to hand paint the snowflakes
When I'm drawing a snowflake I always imagine a clock
then I draw lines connecting 12 and 6, 2 and 8, 4 and 10
On each line, I'm going to add 3 arrow heads pointing towards the center
Connect the centermost arrows together
And that's it for the basic snowflake
I'm going to add some more spikes to make it look more realistic
I'm going to cure it for 30 seconds, and then I'm going to apply a small amount of glitter polish on top
Wipe off the sticky layer with alcohol to compete!
On my pinky and thumb, I'm going to apply the same glitter polish that I used on top of the snowflakes
Now I'm going to hand paint my new character inspired by a snow fox
And his name is Helix
After drawing the rough outline I'm going to fill the head using the pale skin color acrylic paint
Using dark gray, I'm going to start drawing the facial parts
Mix white to the dark grey then draw the outline of the hair
Paint the hair with a super light gray
I'm going to paint his clothes with the same colour
Paint his cheeks with pale red
I'm going to draw his tail wrapping around his body
Paint the white part of his eyes
then paint the iris with blue
Add some shines with white
I'm going to paint his hair using the same colours as his eyes
Add a few snowflakes
Draw the eyebrows
And this is his caterpillar friend
Apply a no wipe gel top coat to compete!
And here is my short animation of Helix
That's it for today! I hope you enjoyed it
Thank you so much for watching until the end and I'll see you in the next video

Rui Hachimura: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com || CACAO TV - Duration: 9:33.
Rui Hachimura: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com
Rui Hachimura has a chance to be the first Japanese-born NBA player in decades.
Rui Hachimura grew up in Sendai, Japan, and has become a key player for Gonzaga.
It was the perfect landing spot for the Japanese forward given Mark Few's ability to attract players from all over the world.
"I like that this program has teammates and coaches who are like family," Hachimura told The Gonzaga Bulletin.
"I knew there were a lot of international players playing here and they know the process of developing international players.".
Hachimura left behind his younger brothers and two sisters along with his parents in order to follow his hoop dreams.
All indications are the NBA awaits whenever Hachimura's days at Gonzaga are over.
It would be a historic moment for Japan given only a handful of Japanese players have made it to the NBA.
Learn more about Hachimura and his family.
Hachimura's Dad Is From Benin & His Mom Is From Japan.
Rui Hachimura has been an integral part of the Gonzaga team.
According to the Japan Times, Hachimura's father is from Benin, a country in West Africa, and his mother is from Japan.
The Japan Times notes Hachimura and some of the other top Japanese athletes are opening doors for other multiracial athletes to be celebrated.
Simply, the number of international marriages between Japanese and foreign nationals have increased, and that's one of the biggest reasons for the rise of the biracial athletes…So the presence of foreign nationals and multiracial people isn't such a rarity as contemporary Japanese society has become gradually more open.
This holds true in the sporting world as well, as biracial athletes are treated just like the others these days.
Hachimura Is Just the Fifth Japanese-Born Player to Play Division I Men's Basketball.
Hachimura understands there are a lot of Japanese fans rooting for him to succeed in the States.
He spoke with Fox Sports about playing for his home country.
"I want to show the Japanese people they can play in America," Hachimura told Fox Sports.
"It's good for us.".
Kyodo News America reporter Akiko Yamawaki spoke with Fox Sports about the high expectations that follow Hachimura.
"I think a lot of Japanese people expect him to be in the NBA one day," Yamawaki told Fox Sports.
"That makes a lot of Japanese basketball fans excited, because you don't [usually see] a Japanese player that can run and jump high like him and dunk like an American player.
It's kind of a different expectation for him from Japanese people.".
Hachimura Is Projected to Be a 1st Round NBA Draft Pick in 2019.
Hachimura is still a work-in-progress, but the Gonzaga forward has a lot of the characteristics that NBA teams look for.
He is long and athletic, but is still getting a feel for the game.
After averaging just 4.6 minutes his freshman season, Hachimura has become an integral part of the 2017-18 Gonzaga squad.
He is averaging 11.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in just over 20 minutes each game.
If Hachimura opts to come back to school for another season, Hachimura solidly projects to be an NBA first round pick in 2019.
ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony predicts Hachimura to be a lottery pick going No.
12 in his 2019 NBA Mock Draft.
Hachimura Would Only Be the 2nd Japanese-Born Player to Play in the NBA.
If all goes as planned, Hachimura looks like he will eventually head to the NBA, which would be a historic moment for Japan.
According to Complex, Hachimura would only be the second Japanese-born player to play in the NBA.
Yuta Tabuse was the first and only Japanese-born player to play in the NBA.
Tabuse played four games for the Suns, but was cut three months after joining the team.
There have been several Japanese-American NBA players.
In 1947, Japanese-American Wataru Misaka broke the color barrier in the NBA during the same year Jackie Robinson did so in baseball.
Misaka played in three games averaging 2.3 points.
Complex detailed his stint with the Knicks.
The same year that Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in baseball, Wataru Misaka became the first non-caucasian to play in the NBA.
A staff sergeant during WWII, Misaka faced discrimination for his Japanese ethnicity during the war with Japan.
After he was discharged, he finished his collegiate playing career at the University of Utah, and was selected by the Knicks in the 1947 Draft.
Misaka's run in the NBA was short lived—he was cut after scoring seven points in three games, and never receieved a full explaination as to why.
Critical observers might point to his race, but Misaka thought it was for a basketball reason: The Knicks had too many guards on the roster, and coming in at 5'7″ and 150 lbs, Misaka wasn't exactly a physical specimen full of long-term potential.
Three years later the first African-American was signed, and it would be 40 years before another Asian player would play in the NBA.
Hachimura Learned to Speak English After Enrolling at Gonzaga.
Hachimura had to learn English in addition to the typical transition of becoming a college student, and learning a new basketball system.
The Gonzaga forward is continuing to learn the language, but has made strides in his second year with the team.
"I was the guy who didn't speak anything last year, but they were already trying to help me with speaking English or anything I did," Hachimura told The Gonzaga Bulletin.
"That was so fun and very helpful for everything, on the court or off the court.".
Gonzaga assistant coach Tommy Lloyd explained to The Gonzaga Bulletin all Hachimura has overcome to be playing at such a high level.
"When we first brought Rui here, I reminded people that this guy probably has more obstacles and further to go than any guy we've ever brought in here," Lloyd told The Gonzaga Bulletin.
"And he's passed it with flying colors.".

Saytzeff Rule: How to predict Major Product for Elimination Reaction - Duration: 5:24.
Hi everyone this is Maverick Puah the Chemistry Guru. Now sometimes in Organic Chemistry
when we are doing the elimination reaction of alcohols or
elimination reaction of halogenoalkanes to form alkenes we
do encounter situations where I've two or more possible
alkenes that can be formed. So what we want to discuss today in this video
is to make use of Saytzeff Rule to predict the major
product for elimination reactions of halogenoalkanes and alcohols
now Saytzeff Rule says that if you can form more than one possible alkene
from an elimination reaction then the more substituted alkene
will be the major product. So let's take a look at this example now what
we have here is this compound CH3-CHBr-CH2-CH3
this is my 2-bromobutane. Now if you want to do an elimination reaction
of halogenoalkane the reagents and conditions is using KOH in ethanol reflux
and elimination reaction will take away a H-Br and it forms our
alkene. So if we look at this compound, we notice this Br is on my
second carbon and you notice we actually have 2 different H that can be eliminated
together with this Br. Now this C-1 is a
methyl group, then this C-3 is my
CH2 group so C-1 and C-3
they are different so if I eliminate this H with my Br
I'll form one alkene. If I remove the other H from Br
I'll form another alkene, we get two different products. So let's try to
draw these two products. Now the first product that can be formed is
if the Br is eliminated together with my H
in position 1, so I box this up and when I take
away this HBr then later the double bond will be between C-1 and C-2
so my product would look something like this. My C-1
will be here then I have a double
bond between carbons 1 and 2. This will be a CH
C-3 will be my CH2
and C-4 will be CH3
So this is my position 1, 2, 3 and 4
So if I take away this HBr then my product will look something like this
the double bonds will be between carbons 1 and 2
Now if I remove the H from C-3, so let's say if I take away
this H together with Br, then the double bond will be
between carbons 2 and 3. So again let us draw my
products out. I will have a CH3
so this is my C-1 then
C-2 this is my CH with double bond then
C-3 is a CH, C-4 will be CH3
again if we number off that makes it easier for us to compare the two so
this is my position 1, this is my carbon number 2, 3 and 4
so this will be the alkene that is being formed if I take away the H
from position 3. Now the next thing we want to do is we want to
compare the two products. Now Saytzeff Rule says that the more
substituted alkene is my major product. So how do we determine
the degree of substitution. It's fairly straightforward we just box up our
alkene and we go and count the number of non-H groups
that is attached to my alkene. So if we look at the first compound
on my left hand side, I just box up my
alkene and I consider the number of R groups attached to my
alkene. So this is a H it's not a R group, this is a
H, this is a H, so we have one R group here
so we know that this alkene on my left hand side
has 1 R group
So the degree of substitution is one. Then how about the other alkene
Now the other alkene on my right hand side, if I box up my
double bond and I go and count the number of R groups, this is
one R group, H is not a R group and H is not a R group
this is my second R group, so this
alkene on my right hand side actually has 2 R
groups. So if I compare the two, again back to Saytzeff Rule, Saytzeff Rule
says that more substituted alkene is my major product so the
one on the left hand side there is only 1 R group, the one on the right hand side we have
2 R groups. So the compound on the right is more substituted
so this will be my major product
Now remember Saytzeff Rule also applies for alcohols so if you have an elimination
reaction of alcohol to form alkene and if there are two different products that can be formed then
the same idea applies, the more substituted alkene will be the major product
alright I hope that from this video we understand Saytzeff Rule a bit better and we
know how to use Saytzeff Rule to apply to elimination reactions of halogenoalkanes
and alcohols to form our alkenes
Now if you find this video involving Saytzeff Rule useful, please give me the thumbs up, like this

Kentucky-Kansas State: Live Coverage Including NBA Draft | Heavy.com || CACAO TV - Duration: 7:29.
Kentucky-Kansas State: Live Coverage Including NBA Draft | Heavy.com
Kentucky takes on Kansas State with a trip to the Elite 8 on the line.
We're in Atlanta for the South Regional where we will be providing live coverage of Kentucky taking on Kansas State with an Elite 8 birth on the line.
Keep it here for live updates, NBA draft prospect evaluations and more from Philips Arena.
You can interact during the game through the comments section as you react to the Kentucky-Kansas State March Madness matchup.
With Cincinnati and Arizona both suffering early upsets, the path to the Final 4 looks wide for Kentucky, but Kentucky coach John Calipari has tried to prevent his team from looking ahead.
The theme all week from Calipari has been encouraging his team not to drink the "poison." What is the poison? According to Calipari, it is the Wildcats believing anything comes easy during the NCAA tournament.
"Challenge is making sure the team doesn't drink that poison," Calipari noted in his Sweet 16 press conference.
"That poison being they have an easy road.
There are no easy roads in the tournament.".
For Kansas State the story has been the Wildcats ability to overcome adversity and injuries to make a Sweet 16 run.
Kansas State has been without leading-scorer Dean Wade for the first two games of the tournament.
CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein reported Wade is expected to play tonight, but will be limited.
Kentucky features potentially three NBA first round draft picks.
In my latest mock draft, I have forward Kevin Knox and point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander being selected with back-to-back lottery picks at No.
13 and No.
Shooting guard Hamidou Diallo flirted with the draft in 2017, but opted to return to Kentucky for another season.
It has been an inconsistent season for Diallo, who I have sneaking inside the first round at No.
29.
Alexander has been the most consistent player for Kentucky averaging 14.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds while shooting over 41 percent from the three-point line.
Knox has also flashed averaging 15.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 34.1 percent from long range.
ESPN's rankings have P.J. Washington (No.
45), Jarred Vanderbilt (No.
62) and Wenyen Gabriel (No.
98) in the NBA mix as well.
These rankings are all based on what each Wildcats player would be ranked if they declared for the draft, which will be unknown until after the season.
Alexander, Knox and Diallo all took the podium for Kentucky's Sweet 16 press conference.
When asked how the three players were balancing their NBA aspirations with the team goals, Knox explained Calipari sat down each player individually to discuss their roles for the season.
A Final Four appearance could only help Kentucky's top players' NBA aspirations as they continue to get a chance to shine during the NCAA tournament, but Kentucky would be foolish to overlook Kansas State.
Chime in with your thoughts on the game in the comments section.
Here's what has happened so far.
Kentucky Started Out Shooting Less Than 25 Percent From the Field.
Kentucky looked dreadful to start the game.
Poor shooting (less than 25 percent FG%) was complicated by being careless with the basketball.
The question for Kentucky all season long has been who the Wildcats go-to player is when they need baskets.
Kentucky will need to figure it out soon, or they will be watching the Elite 8 from home.
#Catlanta Lived Up to Its Name With Philips Arena Full of Kentucky Fans.
With the exception of a couple Loyola sections, Philips Arena was full of Kentucky fans (90 percent is a good estimate) living up to the #Catlanta tradition.
As expected, these fans were mostly pulling for the lower seed as No.
11 Loyola secured an Elite 8 spot over No.
7 Nevada.
Jarred Vanderbilt Out For Kentucky, But Dean Wade Played for Kansas State.
Dean Wade had missed Kansas State's previous two NCAA tournament games with an injury.
While Wade did not start, he entered the game with just over 17 minutes left in the first half.
Jarred Vanderbilt was once again out for Kentucky.

Wywiad z Ajahnem Brahmem / Interview with Ajahn Brahm [NAPISY PL + ENG] - Duration: 26:18.
Interview with Ajahn Brahm
You seem to be fluent in Polish, have you ever been to Poland?
Ah, I have been not in this life, except in YouTube.
To be somewhere you don't need to be there physically anymore.
Do you have any relatives or any ancestors from Poland, that you know of?
Not that I know of.
But I remember... I still remember his name, from my primary school - Jerzy Suchocki (?)
Does that sound Polish?
One more time?
Jerzy Suchocki (?)
That's a six or seven year old how they pronounce his name. But he was from Poland.
Oh, did you play soccer with him?
Yeah!
Would you like to come to Poland?
My likes and dislikes are not part of the equation...
These days I have to do what is possible.
The Theravada Foundation that I represent, maybe we can send you an official invitation?
Yes, you can send an official invitation, but I just even couple of days ago
had a very strong invitation to go over to Vietnam, and I said I can't do that, because there are just too many invitations.
What they said was that: "Oh please, all your books are very popular over there
and there's lots of people who would really benefit from your teachings..."
And I think that's what you would ask me as well
So can you tell us how did Bodhinyana started?
It started when we were desperate for a cup of coffe!
We were looking at some piece of land quite a distance from here,
and on the way back we passed the real estate agent and the real estate agent here in Byford, close by,
the last time we went to ask if anything was there he gave us a cup of coffee.
So it was just trying to get a cup of coffee.
So when we had a cup of coffee and one of his friends was there, who said:
I remember this piece of land they could not sell a few years ago, no one wanted it,
and that migh be just the place for you. And of course it was!
So this is very good, anyone in business please understand that if you give your clients just a cup of coffe,
it's really good for business, especially with two Buddhist monks,
coming by, looking for something. So anyway, it's called the law of kamma.
You help other people then you get good rewards back.
So anyway there we were looking for land, so we've got this place,
and no one else wanted it and we couldn't afford it, which usually happens
and so we made an offer which should have been refused because it was way under what was asked for.
But the person there, he was an old fellow, he could not find his sheep and cows when they grazed here,
because it was just too hilly.
There were too many places here you can just escape and hide.
And that's perfect for what we were looking for so we got it, but that was the start of our problems.
Because we had no money, in fact we were in debt, and no places to stay.
It was just an empty land... Great for cows and kangaroos, but not for people.
So the first day I came here, I could not find where I'd put my place to stay so I slept under a tree.
Literally, no blankets, no pillows, nothing, just on the ground.
So just like the good old days we started from the very basics.
Little by little, we worked very hard, it was always one brick at a time.
We never had great plans how's it gonna be in the future.
In fact we just had a bit of money, we did some work and then we built little by little.
After many many years I think one of the first things that people found out that we were serious.
We weren't just gonna come in and then just disappear.
We were in this for the long term, so that's one of the reasons
why even the first buildings we build were really solid.
We could have got tents and caravans but that would be giving the wrong impression.
That meant that people after a while they realized that: "Yeah, these monks are gonna stay here".
We started giving teachings as well, and meditating.
It wasn't just teachings and meditating, it was just how we live those teachings in our life.
That we're actually practicing them and that impressed people.
So little by little we managed to build up a community here.
And then came Jhana Grove?
Jhana Grove, yeah because we did have some people meditating but the problem was
that here you have the monastic life as well and it could not be a meditation center
and monastery at the same time because there's other little things that we have to do like giving interviews,
which would disturb meditation center and you know our little ceremonies which we have to do.
And they're beautiful, the way that you may have seen that we have our lunch here.
Which is inspiring and quite often you ask them: "Why do you do this?" and they say:
"Because we get so much inspiration and joy out of this".
And it answers a question why is it that like with other monks, we could be self-sufficient.
We could just grow some gardens and cook our own food but that's missing out on something,
the connection and the beautiful act of generosity, of giving and receiving,
which makes this Theravadan system to work.
So we don't put up... well we've got a wall, but gates are always open. We don't seclude ourselves and have nothing to do
with the lay community and we come in for some times during the day to connect.
Which I think is very beautiful way of the Buddha set that we should depend upon the generosity of laypeople.
It also means there is the sense of...
if we don't provide a good service, if we are not good monks then people won't feed us.
So it's a little like a safety mechanism that if you misbehave then you'll get very thin.
Because we're doing such a good job that's why I'm very fat, it's just what you can expect.
So Jhana Grove?
So we wanted a meditation retreat center and so again, saw a nice place over there, and again as we collected some money for it,
again never enough, we bought the land and then later on we decided, yeah, let's build a retreat center.
And as usual, getting permissions and getting this and getting that it was just never enough funds.
I said "What the heck, let's just do it!" and the funds came right along.
As they normally do, at the last minute because I remember just looking after that,
and just getting this huge bill for about three or four hundred thousand dollars
"How the heck I'm gonna pay for that? Impossible!"
But then a bit of asking around here and asking around there borrowing from this and borrowing from that
we managed to actually get enough to pay the builder.
It was very tight at the last moment, but even the process was very beautiful.
Lastly just to have the ambience of the place.
Nice and peaceful little Island surrounded by forest, and if you look at the aerial picture,
you can understand that it's an island of an open area and just forest on all sides.
And it has got beautiful Feng Shui nice views over the ocean, it's a very peaceful place, people love it there.
And then was Dhammasara?
Dhammasara that was the next thing that we had though: "Where are the women?"
It doesn't make any sense to me and it's also the fact that these days,
actually even the old days there was still equity and fairness.
Is it's not just a modern movement even in the time of the Buddha:
"May all beings be happy and well" - you know it's always all beings it's not just men,
it's not just Asians, it's not just the healthy, strong beings, it's all beings!
There's a lot of little idea there that you should never
discriminate according to gender, sexual orientation or even just health or age.
If the person can do it, obviously give him a chance.
So because of that I decided it should really as much as possible
open the doors to all beings and with that came the the idea of
just knowing in tradition there has always been the case whenever there is a women's community
alongside of men's community, it was always men who dominated.
We didn't want that to happen, we just wanted the women to prove,
that they could do whatever the men could do, so give them their own community,
and they've really lived up to my hopes and given their own little community.
It's also at the same time it means that this place is the south of Perth, south of the city.
The Dhammasara nun's monastery is to the east of the city
so we're spreading ourselves around,
so we can serve the greater part of the community in Perth.
With Dhammasara it was just building the place first of all and then the again the next part was
the ordination of the nuns, which was resisted by the narrow parts of Buddhism.
And I will not say by the traditionalists because what I always say
I am a traditionalist Theravada buddhist.
When you quote that from the earliest texts you know what the Buddha would do and how the Buddha set up everything.
I'm more fundamentalist so I go back there and justify everything.
The other ones are just pandering to parts of Buddhism,
or rather culture which came much later, not the time of the Buddha.
What they think is tradition, actually just lasts for 200, 300, 400, 500 years
So that was wonderful to have the bhikkhuni ordination here and that made a lot of people even more inspired and respect Theravada Buddhism.
We were showing leadership in areas which needed leadership, especially to have equity and respect for all genders.
So can you say that this Buddhist monastery and the BSWA is the avant-garde of the Theravada?
No, we're just so traditional, harking back to the original teachings of the Buddha.
By doing so it's fascinating that it is regarded as avant-garde,
it's regarded as progressive is regarded as respecting modern times.
It's respecting modern times and ancient times!
Compassion has got no age limits, it's not fashionable in one area and unfashionable in another area
Meditation just works, no matter what sexual orientation what age, or anything.
So the heart of Buddhism is timeless,
ageless, beyond fashion. It's just basic kindness, compassion.
So you can say by going back to the early stage you're actually moving forward?
Exactly!
Bhante, you had some problems with with the ordination can you describe how it was?
The ordination there was just reactions to the ordination, and so you did get it...
The word was at the time can't be called excommunicated, that's what they thought it was.
Because that's not done according to the the rule of the Vinaya
Some people call it expulsion but these days I call it "liberated",
from sort of a group which was well-meaning but really not well informed.
They're living their tiny world because of that I think little by little they start to see that's not really a tenable way
to live their life and to make Buddhism popular
which is part of our job. Budha said to go and by the same way for the benefit and happiness of all living beings.
Maybe we can talk a little bit about meditation?
Yes.
You've been giving so many stories so I'll give a short story.
There was a Polish monk in 2011, he went to your retreat and he tried really hard to get the jhānas.
You probably have heard so many stories like that, and at the end of the retreat
he was like: "I'm a failure", classic right?
You're welcome into Western psychology.
Right, then he went back to the kuṭi in his monastery and just sat there and just
Gave up...
Gave up and then he saw breath in the body and that was a very good meditation.
But the question is - because you, Bhante, you are teaching the jhānas,
I call it classical jhānas, which is like nimitta and no senses.
In Kāyagatāsati Sutta in Majjhima Nikāya
there is this passage were there are jhānas and they are in the body you might say...
But they use the word body but it's the same as Ānāpānasati
the breath, but when you go deep into the meditation
you're not watching the breath anymore, you know, you're watching the pīti-sukha
just a joy, you're watching the citta and then liberating all of these things.
There are some times that people need to really get their heads around Pāḷi.
And also all of the idioms and often actually caught, made sort of comparisons
I don't know much about Polish but with English and the crazy idioms they have in English.
It rained cats and dogs, so that means in England you get a big shower
and all these kittens and these puppies and these dogs come down from the sky.
Of course it doesn't mean that because the word means different things in different contexts.
There is one of the things which comes up,
because it was a crossword puzzle the other day, you have the word "thrush" - what is thrush?
It's a bird and it's also a disease of the throat. So they are different context it means totally different things.
So that's why that sometimes the word "kaya" and it's something which has totally different meanings in different contexts.
I've talked to many people who were having a good meditation and their base was body.
The thing is and this is me talking from a compassionate point of view,
that they might strive really hard to get the classical jhānas...
... but they are getting nowhere.
People are just...we're almost brainwashed into thinking that to get anywhere you have to strive.
Now it's the case that even the history of Buddhism should actually give you some examples of that, some indication.
There was Siddhattha Gautama, six years striving getting nowhere, just getting frustrated.
Almost about to give up and part of the striving was just being really the tough-guy.
And so he decided to eat properly and just become a bit more compassionate to his body.
And then his friends thought he just given up.
He stopped striving and that's actually where that he found his other path that Middle Way.
It wasn't about striving, it was about using the wisdom power and the kindness power.
And that is so important because it's a striving which actually stops you
attaining those jhānas, that is a problem, striving, because to strive, you're under control.
The jhānas you have to let go
Two totally different paths and the problem is that people are just scared of letting go.
We think: I'll just fall asleep, or everything will fall apart,
oh my mind will be all over the place and so you know they let go and it does go all over the place
to start off with, you do get lazy to start off with, but carry on, wait for a little while.
See what happens. I mean that's all the teachers used to say that.
Ajahn Chah he'd wave his hand up and down like this and say this is a leaf on a tree.
It only moves because of the wind. If the wind stop it wouldn't stop straight away.
It will just take some time and then it'll become perfectly still.
That's the nature of the human mind: it's if you want something that's the wind.
Craving, wanting, in fact craving is far too hard a word, usually like wanting.
Desire, even if it is something good, that causes our mind to move.
So you don't get anything except frustration.
But if you can have the courage to let go and part of letting go is kindness, loving kindness, metta,
compassion, just open the door of your heart to what is happening now
and just after a little while the mind stops, becomes very still.
When that becomes still, it's from stillness you get disappearing, that's the cause of no desire, stillness, things disappear.
One of the things which disappear of course is your five senses,
with your body so you close your eyes and sight disappears smell, taste easier to let go of.
And the physical feelings of the body and sound those are two hardest.
Physical feelings of the body and just by a lot of time, using the breath
is one of the best ways, doesn't have to be the breath. Sometimes you can let go of the body.
Allow it to be so still but also the breath is one of best ways.
Cause you focus on the breath that's all you've got,
can't find anything else in your body until eventually once the breaths gets
very soft that disappears as well. And that's why even the Buddha said that
the thing which can block getting into the first jhāna is sound.
Just because it is that defense mechanism put into our mind that if we always warned
of the approaching tiger or the snake through the slither of the leaves in the forest.
It's always the sound which is our last form of defense.
And it's sound which can take us out of coma, which can actually wake us up from the sleep.
That's why we have the bells and they ding-ding-ding for fire alarms.
So because of that, it's really clear to me that
to be a jhāna, the five senses have to vanish.
It's not about will, because if you're willing if you're doing something, you're trying. That doesn't work.
Just to make it clear if people who have... they claim that they have jhāna
and the body is the base, you would say it's upacāra samādhi?
Not even that! It's just nice feeling, nice, pleasant and peaceful.
Calm, pleasant, but it's not the jhānas
I think it's Ajahn Brahmali said - and he follows my teachings or Buddhist teachings I would say,
and to say that: "Ah, you are just making it too hard for others, you should be more compassionate!"
But look, you can't sort of say like "enlightenment".
Like anything is enlightenment or anything is a stream winner
That's missing the point, you can't say an aircraft is a bird.
There is an aircraft flying in over at the moment.
You have to be truthful and it's not making things difficult for people it's actually making things possible.
And it works after a while because the problem is now that
for years many people just stopped even talking about jhānas.
They thought it wasn't necessary and monks like myself come along,
saying: "it's really necessary" now you show that it's really necessary to have jhānas.
to get stages of enlightenment. And now at least people who understood:
"yeah it's part of the Eightfold Path, you can check it out for yourself it's necessary".
Now that we've managed to win that sort of battle, that this is really important,
everybody's coming onto the bandwagon say: "Yeah, jhānas are necessary, I've got jhānas!"
I mentioned that I went to two very prominent teachers in the United States and they wanted a talk to me.
"I thought you were the vipassana junkies?" they said: "No, no, because our teachers now confirm that jhānas are necessary,
and so we're talking about jhāna LITE".
That was the first time I'd heard that. What it really is is just accepting the jhānas are necessary
but lowing the bar to something is really not.
You can't do that, it's just both intellectual dishonesty but it's also
it's not treating the people you're teaching with respect.
Of course you can do it, but eventually just you find that trying to get there, wanting it,
that's the obstacle! So what you do instead?
You just sit here and let go, and have the patience to actually let it happen.
Don't get frustrated because that's more self, more me: "I'm a failure, I'm great, I'm hopeless, I'm better"
That's the sort of stuff which forms the basis of letting go.
Simple things like kindness, compassion, beautiful basic teachings of the Buddha.
Be kind to yourself, and kindness is a part of letting go, and everything starts to happen.
You get very peaceful and people attain these things, when they stop trying.

You can easily find on our site in the news section a brief overview of the key news related to the SkyWay production, construction of the EcoTechnoPark;
the creation, acceptance tests and certification of the first industrial models of the SkyWay rolling stock; the certification of the quality management system according to the highest world standards;
the participation of the company specialists in the major international exhibitions and forums.
Watch our Youtube or Vimeo channels, do not forget to subscribe to our social networks, and remember that the SkyWay is our future already today!
I say goodbye to you for now. ... has been with you today!
